Mustard has revealed he was essentially spamming Kendrick Lamar with beats multiple times a day even before his historic rap beef with Drake commenced.
During his recent appearance on “Big Boy’s Neighborhood,” the “Not Like Us” producer spoke about his experience performing at Lamar’s unifying Juneteenth concert “The Pop-Out: Ken & Friends,” the rap beef between K. Dot and Drizzy and more. In the process, Mustard described how years of persistence led to the collab with Kendrick, who managed to snag a No. 1 debut with their inaugural collaboration.
“I was sending him five beats a day before the whole beef,” he said. “I was just working on my album like I really wanna do a song with [Kendrick]…I’ve been trying to do songs with him for years.”
When Big Boy responded with the question, “How many beats you think you sent to Kendrick?,” Mustard replied, “Maybe 100? Maybe 50? 60?” and proceeded to confirm he was specifically making five beats a day for nobody else but Kendrick Lamar at the time.
“Any of the beats I’ve ever sent him nobody has ever had these beats,” he said.
Mustard added that he had no issue blowing Kendrick Lamar up with beats because he believes that “it only takes one.” Mustard went on to reveal that he initially heard “Not Like Us” just like the rest of us did and didn’t actually have a heads up before the track was released.
“[During the beef], all I’m texting him is beats…normal s###,” he said. “We weren’t talking about the beef at all.
“[When ‘Not Like Us’ dropped], I’m on my way to a baby shower…we on the freeway…I get a text saying, ‘[Kendrick] dropped again,’ then I get another text like, ‘Mustard on the beat ho’ and I’m like, ‘What the f### did I miss?’ And that’s how I heard the song on the 405 freeway, driving and I start spazzing…listening to it over and over. I couldn’t believe it.”

Killer Mike was cleared of a misdemeanor battery charge months after his arrest at the 2024 Grammy Awards. The Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office declined to file charges against him, per TMZ.
The Run the Jewels member won Grammys for Best Rap Album, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song before getting arrested at the ceremony in February. Killer Mike ended up in handcuffs over a physical altercation with a security guard.
“As you can imagine, there was a lot going and there was some confusion around which door my team and I should enter,” he said. “We experienced an overzealous security guard, but my team and I have the upmost confidence that I will ultimately be cleared of all wrongdoing.”
Killer Mike reflected on his Grammy arrest during an appearance on The View.
“All of my heroes have been in handcuffs – Malcolm [X], Martin [Luther King Jr.], [Nelson] Mandela, Medgar [Evers],” he said. “I walked out with the same dignity and respect that I walked in with. And I would implore people to just take that from it. Don’t dwell on the bad stuff.”
Killer Mike received good news the day after his arrest when he learned his son was receiving a much-needed kidney transplant. His son underwent successful surgery in February.
“I got a call that my child, after being on the list for three years, finally got his kidney,” he told GQ. “And I can just truly tell you that God is real … I’m grateful that God showed me within 24 hours that there’s something more important than even the accolades you’ve worked for. And that’s my family and my child and I’m just thankful. I thank Him.”
Killer Mike released his Grammy-winning album Michael in 2023. The LP was his first solo project since 2012’s R.A.P. Music.
Big Boogie dropped “BOP” earlier this year. The track features CMG labelmate GloRilla, who both had a chance to rep their hometown of Frayser.
With more than one billion TikTok impressions, “BOP” became a viral sensation, showcasing Big Boogie’s contagious high energy and personality.
“Keep in mind, Glo didn’t have a clue how the song was, the name of the song, none of that,” he tells AllHipHop. “I told her ‘I got a banger for you.’ She said ‘alright, send it.’ I called her on FaceTime, let her hear it. I played it, her head almost fell off her shoulders. I sent it to her, it came back and now it’s all over the world.”
For those who aren’t familiar with Big Boogie’s music, hit play on any of his bangers: “Pop Out,” “Thuggin” and “Left Right”— and they’ll potentially fall in love. Records such as “Mental Healing” speak volumes to his character and the trials and tribulations he’s been through, showing fans all around the world that they too can turn their dreams into a reality.
AllHipHop spoke with Big Boogie in downtown Los Angeles about “BOP,” his love for dancing, the REDRUM Wizard (Gangsta Grillz) project with DJ Drama and more.
You said GloRilla took 20 tries to get the “BOP” dance?
Yeah, she made me mess up plenty of times. But TikTok made us even get with it more. We on stage, our dancers doing it. Everything we doing, the world doing it. Everybody, it don’t no matter what age you is. Everybody doing a dance, it’s fun to do. We made the word dance again.
And you’ve been dancing since how old?
Since I was born. Ain’t gon’ lie, I was dancing before I saw anything.
Were there certain dancers you saw that made you want to do it? I remember the jerkin’ era…
Yeah, the jerk. A lot of rappers that dance, I see them. I see what they doing, but I jig more. Dancing is different from jigging. I jig.
What’s jig?
Jigging is from Louisiana. You got swag, you bop. You bouncing everywhere. You jiggin’, you got vibes. That’s jiggin’. You dipping, you swagging. You rubbing your head, rolling. That’s jiggin’.
Congrats on the new tape with DJ Drama for sure. What was the highlight from REDRUM Wizard?
I already had the songs ready. Drama, I DMed him just to get him flowers. But he was already on me though. “Yo, I was just thinking about you, talking about you two days ago.” Alright bet, let’s do it! Let’s make history.
Why’d you name it REDRUM WIZARD?
REDRUM WIZARD because I’m a wizard. REDRUM, that’s my label. I’m the wizard of my whole camp. REDRUM is “murder” spelled backwards. It’s protecting family, it’s protecting the brand. Everything is serious on this end, that’s what that means.
How’s your mental health?
Good. I’m 100 percent good, always. Nothing that goes against my mental is not with me. Peace. I’m too young to be going through anything.
Yo Gotti started taking you to nice restaurants. Do you prefer fine dining or fast food?
Fast food. I’m starting to eat healthy. I ate a salad today [laughs]. It was from Chick-fil-A. I ate a sandwich right after that though, but I ate the salad first.
What did it mean to get your sister a car for Mother’s Day?
It meant a lot because my sister goes through a lot. That’s my twin sister. Same daddy, same mama. She got three kids, she lost all her baby daddies. She lost our daddy, too. She only got me as a man in her life. I stepped up. She was crying and everything. I knew what it was gon’ be, but she deserved it though. If I’m driving good, she needs to drive good.
How much family you have to take care of?
Not a lot, but I take care a lot. I’m the black sheep. Everybody gives my flowers. They praise me. They support me. They pray for me, they’re there. They do everything. Anything to keep me standing tall, they do it.
What are you praying for nowadays?
Better timing. Different vibes of life. Seeing different things, fresh mentals. More peace is all I’m praying for, I got everything else.
Sexyy Red poked fun at King Von’s sister Kayla B amid rumors of both women being romantically involved with Chief Keef. Sexyy Red posted photos of Chief Keef’s chain in her panties to claim him on Wednesday (June 26).
“Iont care who wear dis mf nie,” she wrote on social media.
She added, “We go together now mwah gimme ah kiss @chieffkeeffsossa.”
Kayla B, who previously shared a photo of herself with Chief Keef’s chain, was undaunted. She responded with a picture of her kissing the Chicago-bred rapper – and an offer.
“Let’s be a familyyyyyy @sexyyred,” King Von’s sister wrote on Instagram.
Sexyy Red liked the idea.
“You can’t run me off that easy now,” she replied. “I guess we gotta share … We sharing this n####.”
Sexyy Red and Chief Keef dating rumors heated up due to their intimate interactions. Chief Keef had his hands all over her in several photos posted in June. Sexyy Red claimed Chief Keef was just her “brother” in an Instagram video, but the two were extremely affectionate in the clip.
“Proof dat dis just my brudda dis how we play… b coo yal,” she wrote.
Chief Keef was linked to Kayla B after fans noticed her commenting on his Instagram post. He did nothing to downplay the speculation, calling her his “boo” on social media.
Rick Ross ex-girlfriend Cristina Mackey has caused a stir on social media after making a stand against body shaming trolls, who have been attacking both herself and Rozay.
In promotion of her 75-day Mackey Body challenge, which also doubles as her personal brand, the 28-year-old fitness influencer has been sharing Instagram reels with her following to keep them updated and engaged in her body transformation progress.
But it appears the day 11 update Mackey shared ruffled several feathers after she responded to the apparent backlash she was receiving from her male audience. To be more specific, Mackey addressed men complaining that her build is too muscular, seemingly describing them as insecure haters.
“I’ve been getting a little backlash from men [scoffs and laughs] who could never, and I’m not trying to be whatever, but I’m that,” Mackey said. “So I’m an athlete. You can’t make me feel some type of way because I have discipline, determination, and consistency because I get up and go to the gym every day. I don’t negotiate. You could never, so you telling me that my heart, body is too much for you? I know, babe. This is day 11. Wait until you see me. Day 75, you’re going to throw up as you should.”
As expected, the comment section of the post almost immediately blew up as both Mackey’s supporters and critics dropped in to offer their two cents on the video. And though she responded to multiple comments on the post, both negative and positive, she took issue with one about her recent relationship with Ross.
“Fat $&$ @richforever was clapping them cheeks to tell any man they could neva is kind of laughable but keep grinding though,” the user commented on the post.
Though she and Ross are no longer an item, Mackey quickly replied in defense to the troll and shot down his claims that Rozay was obese.
“I can literally wrap my arms completely around Rick,” Mackey started off. “You have a version in your head of him from his past and that isn’t his current reality. ALSO it’s worth mentioning he is almost a billionaire Imao.”
Mackey proceeded to demolish the user by ending her mini-rant, writing, “Yall aren’t and will never be him.”
In March, Mackey revealed she and Ross had split just six months after making things official in an Instagram post.
“We had a clean break two weeks ago, and I never pretended to be the last,” Mackey said at the time. “I embrace both positive and negative traction with love. And no, I won’t be appearing on anyone’s podcast.”
The former couple’s newfound friendship has seemingly deteriorated since then, considering Mackey previewed a diss track aimed at Ross shortly after announcing their break up. Mackey also appeared to pick sides in Rozay’s beef with Drake in April, when she shared a workout video on Instagram soundtracked by Drake’s 2018 song “Energy.” But who knows, maybe Ross is still Mackey’s sneaky link since none of us will ever be him.
Remy Ma’s son Jayson Scott and another man were arraigned for Darius Guillebeaux’s murder in New York on Tuesday (June 25). Scott was charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, reckless endangerment and four counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
Prosecutors believed Scott was hired to kill Guillebeaux, who was fatally shot in Queens in June 2021. Scott, 23, faced up to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Scott allegedly shot Guillebeaux, who fell to the ground. Prosecutors accused Remy Ma’s son of standing over the 47-year-old man and shooting the victim again. Scott’s accomplice fired at least two shots at Guillebeaux.
“We are charging the defendants with a cold-blooded killing on a public street,” Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said. “Deadly gun violence has no place in our neighborhoods and we will remain steadfast in getting illegal guns and those who use them off the streets of Queens.”
Scott’s co-defendant Richard Swygert, 22, was charged with second-degree murder, reckless endangerment and four counts of criminal possession with a weapon. Swygert faced up to 25 years behind bars. Swygert was indicted for murder in two separate cases in 2021.
Remy Ma’s son was arrested for his alleged role in Guillebeaux’s death on June 18. She claimed Scott was innocent.
“We stand by Jayson’s innocence and pray that the NYPD will conduct a complete and thorough investigation to reveal the truth,” Remy Ma said. “This is undoubtedly a difficult time for my family and me. While we sincerely appreciate the love and support we have received from all of you, we kindly ask for privacy as our legal team works to prove Jayson’s innocence.”
She added, “As his mother, I want to address this situation personally but have been strongly advised by his legal counsel not to say anything — as most people in similar situations are informed by their attorneys due to it being an active case.”
Scott was previously arrested in May. He was indicted on several counts of criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of pistol ammunition.
I am nice with these rumors (message to illseed). You cannot chatGTP this. And I’ve got another one, but I don’t know if y’all are ready for this. There’s a rumor, and I do mean a rumor, that New York might be trying to bring Kendrick Lamar and his “Pop-Out” to the city.
Again, this is just a rumor, but some are saying that specifically, the Bronx may be interested in bringing Kendrick Lamar to the city for a show. What kind of show? I don’t know. However, there are some things we can speculate on. First of all, Hip-Hop’s anniversary, August 11, is on the way. Some may not agree with this date, but we’re going with it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKC58OwhZd0
On another note, New York Hip-Hop has some issues with gangs and violence. Violence is down in the city in general, but we still see there’s an issue that needs resolving. (For the record, gangs or street tribes are nothing new to New York City, but Bloods and Crips are fairly recent.)
Thirdly, I think Kendrick Lamar is bringing the heat and energy we’re all looking for. More than enough people saw the Juneteenth celebration. It was super positive and inspiring to a lot of people. For others, it gave the same energy that Jadakiss brought when The LOX battled The Diplomats. There’s no time zone on it so…maybe next Juneteenth?
Some local politicians have PUBLICLY mentioned bringing the Compton King to New York City. The way I see it, this would be amazing! (I have given several hints so far, by the way.) On the flip side, some might look at it as disappointing because the city has not seen a lot from its kings or queens. 50 Cent is in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Nas is doing some stuff in Queens, but it’s not concert-related. Jay-Z is performing for Tom Brady and other billionaires. And Diddy is embroiled in a legal battle that rivals Epstein. New York, we have a problem. That said, it’s all love, and I think Hip-Hop would be better if K. Dot brought his “Pop-Out” to the city so we could all pop out. Pause.
Megan Thee Stallion asked a California judge to dismiss her former cameraman’s headline-generating lawsuit against her. According to court documents obtained by Meghann Cuniff, the multi-platinum-selling rapper filed a motion for dismissal based on lack of jurisdiction on Tuesday (June 25).
“This case involves an alleged incident that occurred out of the country, an out-of-state plaintiff and an out-of-state defendant with no minimum contacts with California,” Megan’s lawyers wrote. “Defendant Megan Thee Stallion (Megan Pete or ‘Ms. Pete’) is a citizen of Florida. Plaintiff Emilio Garcia is a citizen of Texas. By Plaintiff’s own admission, his false tort claims against Ms. Pete arise from conduct that purportedly occurred in Ibiza, Spain. And Plaintiff’s meritless labor claims relate to a contract that expressly classifies him as an independent contractor and provides for New York law and the exclusive jurisdiction of New York courts. Put simply, California has no jurisdiction over Ms. Pete in this case and her Motion should be granted.”
Garcia sued Megan for harassment and labor code violations in April. Garcia accused Megan of forcing him to watch her have sex with a woman when he worked for her. The incident allegedly occurred in Ibiza in 2022. He was fired in 2023.
Megan’s attorneys labeled Garcia as a “con artist.” They said Garcia was terminated for repeatedly falsifying invoices and overcharging her for services he never completed. Megan’s legal team called Garcia’s lawsuit a “legally and factually frivolous complaint” filled with “unfounded salacious claims.”
“Plaintiff took a run-of-the-mill wage and labor dispute governed by New York law under the terms of his contract and trumped it up with sensationalist claims of sex, debauchery, and workplace harassment for the sole purpose of seeking attention for his own middling amateur artist career and to tarnish the reputation of Ms. Pete,” Megan’s attorneys wrote. “Indeed, Plaintiff and his counsel went on a press tour after filing suit to drum up attention for his meritless lawsuit.
If Megan’s motion for dismissal is granted, Garcia’s case will likely be refiled in New York. The cameraman’s lawsuit sought more than six figures in damages.
Snoop Dogg isn’t worried about France’s weed ban as he prepares for the 2024 Olympics in Paris. The marijuana-loving rapper insists he’ll be fine while covering the games for NBC.
“Trust me, I’m a very legal guy,” Snoop said when a TIME interviewer mentioned cannabis is illegal in France.
NBC recruited Snoop for the network’s primetime coverage of the 2024 Olympics. The Hip-Hop legend claims he’s willing to take drug tests like the Olympians during his stint in France.
“I plan on going out there and doing NBC Olympic work,” he said. “Being clean as a book, clean as the athletes. They can test me if they want to. I’m going to be out there doing what I’m supposed to be doing to make sure I bring home the gold. Which is me.”
— NBC Olympics & Paralympics (@NBCOlympics) June 23, 2024
Snoop was asked if he considered cannabis to be a performance-enhancing drug since Olympians are banned from using it. He scoffed at the notion, pointing to weed’s impact on his 200-meter run at the 2024 Olympic Trials.
“I just ran a 34.44 in the 200 meters and I was smoking all night,” he said. “So that s### ain’t got nothing to do with helping my time at all. It f##### my time up, if anything. Unless they got some super s### to get you faster. Let me know where it is and I’ll be the first to try.”
Snoop will cover a variety of sports during the 2024 Olympics, but he has a keen interest in basketball. The Doggfather told TIME he “wants to roll with” the U.S. men’s basketball team and praised Canadian star Shai-Gilgeous Alexander.
“I think he’s the Snoop Dogg of basketball,” Snoop said regarding SGA. “I love the way he plays, his style. The way he stays focused and gets better every time he gets out on the court. I love his game. I respect it.”
The 2024 Olympics begin in July. Snoop will be a special correspondent for NBC’s Primetime in Paris.
M.I.A. has launched a new clothing line designed to “protect” wearers from electromagnetic waves like Wi-Fi and 5G.
OHMNI is branded as “The armor of the modern knight in the age of modern technological warfare.”
The conspiracy-minded British rapper recently showed off her merch on right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’s Infowars. The collection includes tin foil-lined items and accessories to battle radiowaves. She modeled the range and claimed the fabric guards against nanoparticles, which she called “evil dust,” per Dazed.
Unsurprisingly, Jones lapped it up, branding the line “‘pure genius.” He also contended that “the CIA is obsessed with style and fashion, that’s how they control culture.”
M.I.A.’s OHMNI website offers items like the $100 tin foil hat, which boasts “exceptional electrical conductivity, deflecting electromagnetic waves such as Wi-Fi & 5G with up to 99.999% shielding effectiveness.”
Meanwhile, other items like the “potency” boxer shorts and fitted briefs promise to “protect you from the numerous risks linked to electromagnetic radiation, restoring your autonomy and freedom.”
However, after facing backlash, M.I.A. took to X (Twitter) to respond.
“SMART CLOTHES FOR SMART CITES,” she wrote. “Don’t be living in boomer times fr acting like everything is like the 80s , data has been the new oil for a hot minute. Catch up, don’t be fodder for tech like these bots.”
SMART CLOTHES FOR SMART CITES.
Don't be living in boomer times fr acting like everything is like the 80s , data has been the new oil for a hot minute.
OHMNI’s mission statement aims to get ahead of the criticism, noting, “If the conspiracy theorists are wrong, good for you, you own some beautiful clothes made with pure silver and precious metals. But, if they are right, you just might have saved the future of humanity.”
Watch out, Houston Williams! I saw your recent call-out. I’m here to show you why I do what I do! I’m going to build on your rumor, introduce a new one, and then create another!
You mentioned that it appears Drake is targeting his enemies’ exes. That may be true, but what about other loved ones? What about rappers’ daughters? Allegedly, Mos Def has a rapper daughter, and she’s pretty good! She’s already appeared on AllHipHop’s Instagram.
Some of us wish him well, but I don’t think this is the best approach. First of all, this girl is young. According to some reports, she is barely 18. It looks like women are becoming the vehicle for revenge, not rap songs or hit records. I hope he’s not doing this. In fact, I hope he’s not even considering it.
Teyana Taylor has reportedly finalized her messy divorce from Iman Shumpert after seven years of marriage and two children.
The news broke the day after Taylor made headlines for her show-stopping runway walk for Vogue World at Paris Fashion Week on Sunday (June 23). She celebrated the moment with a clip on Instagram.
“Not all roses are red, sometimes they look like a bad b#### with a platinum bob & ah mean walk. GET IN,” she wrote in the caption. “Still gagging over this VOGUE WORLD moment! Merciiiiiiiiiiii @voguemagazine@voguerunway @wintourworld for having me!”
Among the snaps the multi-hyphenate artist shared from her trip was a stunning set of images showcasing a gold number from FWRD X REVOLVE.
“Oh la la,” she wrote before revealing dress “got me feeling myself tonight… Merci.” However, it was the provocative phrase written in French that raised eyebrows. “Land like a plane on my back if you can’t hold it,” read the caption, per Google Translate.
Teyana Taylor will reportedly receive a seven-figure payout in her divorce, according to documents obtained by The Jasmine Brand. The ruling also revealed the former couple divided their shared estate with Taylor keeping four martial properties, estimated to be valued at over $10 million.
Shumpert will retain his Miami condo in addition to his South Georgia Compound and Decatur, Georgia Compound. He must also pay $8,000 monthly in child support and cover 100% of their daughters’ private school fees.
Stephen A. Smith unleashed on Diddy in a furious rant, calling him out for deleting his apology video to Cassie Ventura.
The fallen mogul recently scrubbed his Instagram account, deleting everything on his page, including the video apologizing to Cassie after footage surfaced of him brutally beating her in a hotel hallway.
The move was highly criticized, and although Diddy’s reps reportedly maintain his apology was sincere, the damage was already done.
Stephen A. Smith felt compelled to address the topic on the latest episode of his podcast. He blasted Diddy, branding his actions “foolish” and questioned his sincerity.
“If you had a million photos, if you had a million videos, and you decided to delete 999,999, that’s the one you should’ve kept up—if you’re sincere,” the sports commentator declared. “And I know, that you’ve been taking a lot of hits, and there’s been shrapnels of criticism all over the place aimed in your direction. Not that it wasn’t deserved.”
Meanwhile, back in May, Stephen A. Smith said Diddy’s career “as we know it,” is over. “It’s over in the worst possible way,” he added. “One of the worst possible ways you can imagine.”
Nonetheless, Smith believes Diddy’s latest actions have caused even more damage. He also questioned why Diddy would remove his apology if he expected people to believe him.
“Delete everything else; not that,” Smith continued. “Don’t you want people to know that you were contrite? That you were incredibly sorry? That you have profound regret for the egregious actions that you were caught on camera committing?”
He concluded, “By deleting the video, you throw all of that out the window—the possibility of the very few people that would ever believe that really having a reason to continue to believe you.”
Ice Spice recently unveiled an alternate album cover for her upcoming Y2K album after the first received backlash, but according to Azealia Banks, she needs to scrap the entire aesthetic and start over.
The outspoken artist said that while she loves the Bronx native, she hasn’t grasped the Y2K look. Moreover, Banks claims Ice Spice’s entire vision for the project is in direct opposition to the “Y2K” trend.
On Tuesday (June 25), Banks took to her Instagram Story with a message for Ice Spice.
“Somebody needs to tell @icespice Absolutely nothing about this aesthetically, performance wise, production wise is Y2K at all,” Banks began. “This is like VIM early Nicki Minaj pack weave s###.”
Furthermore, Azealia Banks instructed, “We need a new hair color and a new facial expression,” comparing Ice Spice to“early Nicki Minaj pack weave s###.”
After advising her to “drop” the artwork’s creator, David LaChapelle, and “re do this,” Banks concluded, “Big butts and bbl bodies are the [ANTITHESIS] OF Y2K.”
She followed up with several examples of artists who embody the trend. “This is Y2K,” she wrote alongside images of Aaliyah, TLC, Jennifer Lopez and others.
Despite Azealia Banks’ criticism, Ice Spice isn’t likely to ditch LaChapelle any time soon. She shared a photo of them shortly after revealing the album cover.
“David LaChapelle is #Y2K! soooo sweet + legendary he didn’t even charge me c## he f#### wit a real b####,” she shared.“Thank U for all the incredible art you’ve put out through the years this cover means everything to me & yes Y2K was placed on the trash can on purpose can u guess why?”

Chloe Bailey is calling out critics who refuse to believe she is capable of being both goofy and sexy simultaneously.
Although the R&B singer is confident in her body and owns her sexuality, her detractors say it’s not genuine. Bailey recently addressed the naysayers during an Instagram Live chat, explaining that, like many women, she’s a balanced individual with multiple sides to her.
She specifically responded to the claim that “Her sexy act ain’t believable because she’s goofy and nerdy.” Bailey questioned. “Why can’t I be both?”
She continued, “It’s not an act, honey. But not everybody will have access to that. Women can be both. Women can be multi-faceted.”
Joking about the contrast between her public and private personas, Bailey sang, “Lady in the streets but a freak in the sheets.”
Ultimately, Bailey says her music, which she described as her “diary,” epitomizes who she is. “That’s where you’ll see a part of me y’all don’t have access to,” she explained. “It might be surprising.”
Meanwhile, Chloe Bailey recently revealed she overcame her fears to star in The Exorcism, alongside Russell Crowe in the remake of William Friedkin’s iconic 1973 horror The Exorcist.
“I stay away from anything frightening – and yet look where I’ve ended up!” she told inews last week. While the self-confessed “scaredy cat” has a fear of the dark and has “never watched a horror film in my life,” she enthusiastically accepted the script.
JT is opening up about her relationship with her former City Girls groupmate Yung Miami, revealing that they’ve moved on since their public spat went viral earlier this year.
The City Girls may have parted ways as a group but JT says the pair remain close and can now laugh over what happened. During a recent interview with Keke Palmer, JT explained that she was “hurt” by how things played out.
“I did not want that to happen,” she confessed. “When you get to the point of ego…it gets there. You forget to express yourself in a private setting, or you forget to talk like adults.”
She added, “It happened and it was stupid, and it’s done. It’s over with and now it’s funny to both of us. It’s hilarious to both of us. Now, it’s just a funny thing in time to us.”
While neither JT nor Yung Miami have discussed what led to their falling out, the “Alter Ego” hitmaker admitted they both made mistakes.
“She should be able to tell her side or how she feel,” JT explained. “Because we both were dead ass wrong. It wasn’t no right person in that situation, and I feel like that’s just something that we should talk about as adults.”
JT Speaks On Her Public Back & Forth With Yung Miami Back In April: “I Was More So Hurt. I Did Not Want That To Happen. It Was Stupid. We Both Were Wrong. I’m Glad It Didn’t Get Out Of Hand. It Wasn’t Personal.” pic.twitter.com/nfz4jwN1Ci
Yung Miami recently discussed why she and JT parted ways as a group, explaining that the lack of commercial success for their RAW album was a contributing factor.
“When we get together as a group, it just wasn’t connecting,” Miami told Complex. “It just wasn’t working no more. So I think we both was at a point where we were just like, ‘We probably should just do our own s###.’”
Meanwhile, it appears JT has new music on the horizon, teasing a collab with Jeezy.

Shreveport is home to the entertainment mogul’s G-Unit Studios, where 50 Cent will expand his film and television empire. Fox33 News reports 50 Cent has purchased more than 10 properties in downtown Shreveport, making him the second largest property owner in the region.

G-Unit Studios is set to spark more investment in Shreveport, bring jobs and boost tourism and locals couldn’t be happier.

People are investing in Shreveport. And we see all it took was 50 Cent to light that spark.”

Crazy Town rapper Shifty Shellshock (real name Seth Binzer) was found dead in his Los Angeles home on Monday (June 24). He was 49. While no cause of death has been confirmed, friends and family are suggesting it was a drug overdose. Shifty had long suffered from addiction issues and was very open about his struggles throughout his career.
Hours after the news broke, House of Pain rapper Danny Boy shared a heartfelt Instagram post mourning Shifty’s death. He wrote, “It breaks my heart that you’re gone. We both grew up running wild in those Hollywood streets. Those times were among the best and also the worst times of my life. Looking at this photo, it’s clear that we were both as high as helicopters. That’s just how it was back then. The ’90s, for us all, were wild! Filled with crazy nights, hanging out with crazy people at Crazy Girls in that Crazytown.
“I was truly rooting for you and had always hoped you would find the recovery that a handful of us found from the awful disease of addiction. But in the end this thing looks like it got you. You’re free now, but you will be missed. My heartfelt condolences to your family and friends. Godspeed, Shifty. ‘Nothing gold can stay.'”
Shifty’s Crazy Town collaborator, Bret “Epic” Mazur, also shared an emotional tribute to the L.A. native. The two enjoyed enormous success in the early 2000s after the Crazy Town single “Butterfly” blew up in 2001.
“It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we have learned the passing of our dear friend and brother, Seth Binzer,” Mazur wrote. “As the other half of Crazy Town, Seth’s incredible talent and larger-than-life personality left an indelible mark on all who knew him and on the music we created together.”
As Mazur continued, he touched on Shifty’s substance abuse issues, again hinting at an overdose as the cause of death.
“Seth struggled with the challenges of maintaining sobriety throughout his life, a battle that he continuously fought privately and publicly,” he added. “Despite the hardships, he brought immense joy and energy into the lives of those around him. I wish with all my heart that his story could have ended differently, but we find solace in the hope that Seth has finally found the peace he was searching for so desperately all these years.
“Our Crazy Town family and I treasure the core memories from our younger years, the highs and lows, the laughter and the lessons and each moment contributed to who we are today. Seth’s journey, marked by struggle, was also filled with moments of incredible creativity and love.”
Mazur also brought up his own journey to sobriety, which he’s been on for nearly two decades. He concluded, “I want to take a quick moment to stress the importance of sobriety. For nearly 18 years, I have walked a sober path, and I urge anyone struggling to seek help and support, from myself or someone you trust. There is always hope, and a chance for a better tomorrow. We will miss Seth more than words can express. His spirit will live on in the music we made and in the hearts of those who loved him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this incredibly difficult time. Rest in peace, Seth. You will always be remembered and cherished. With love and sorrow….God speed…ya’ boy.”
Shifty encountered many challenges over the last couple of decades. In 2012, he was arrested for domestic abuse and cocaine possession. In the same year, he was also taken to hospital after losing consciousness. He fell into a coma before recovering.
In 2022, he was arrested for driving under the influence and thrown off a Nu Metal tour last year after a gig in South Carolina ended in a bloody on-camera fight with his bandmate, Bobby Reeves. The duo had reportedly since made up and Crazy Town played gigs with Shifty as recently as May. Shifty is survived by his three children, Halo, Gage and Phoenix. AllHipHop sends our condolences to all of his loved ones.
Lil Durk appears to be prioritizing his recruitment efforts to attract LeBron James and his son to the Chicago Bulls over clearing his name in an infidelity rumor pinning a love child on him.
In case you missed it, Lil Durk is currently facing allegations he was unfaithful to his longtime partner, India Royale, and subsequently fathered a child outside of their relationship.
However, Durk doesn’t appear to be too vexed by the allegations because he’s currently locked in on his attempts to bring the NBA champion and Lakers’ star player to Chi-Town. In a post he shared to his Instagram Story in the direct aftermath of the social media speculation, Lil Durk appears to bribe LeBron with a bag to bring his talents to Chicago.
“You and bronny come to Chicago bulls,” Lil Durk wrote in the DM he sent to James. “shid i’ll pay you if I got to.” Lil Durk added, “Idx if I got to go half @chicagobulls it’s time lol.”
However, in the midst of Lil Durk doing his best Rich Paul impression, the internet was going wild. Even though rumors that Destini Phillip could be the mother of one of Lil Durk’s children has been floating around since as early as 2022, after a post went viral of Philip and her daughter, the tea on the situation appeared to be cold until recently.
It all appears to have spilled over after a user on Twitter (X) shared a PDA video of Lil Durk and India Royale insinuating they were relationship goals. From there, a number of users reacted to the post, sharing their disapproval of the relationship and even alluding to the idea that Lil Durk was unfaithful to her and had a baby with another woman.
“I just be looking at them in disbelief because the entire world know he had a baby on you,” one person wrote. “That’s insane. I no longer see genuine pure love. This a facade it’s cute though.”
The jab appears to have landed and agitated India Royale, who then opted to throw her own counter haymaker blow in a rebuttal reply within the same tweet thread in which she seemingly references the post of Phillips and her daughter.
“The whole entire world doesn’t know a thing because it never happened,” she said. “People told her baby looked like mine so she joked about it. & Since it gave her clout she ran with it and y’all dusty ass believed her.”

A couple days after India Royale’s post, Phillip shared a tweet of her own and wound up fanning the flames of the scalding hot rumor.
“I was really trying my hardest to enjoy my vacation but yall bring this up every 3 months I can’t go another year on this topic I’ve spent the last 4 years of being attacked because I chose not to post my bd and the gag is I probably never will it’s not yall business,” she wrote in the tweet.
Lil Durk also appears to have nonchalantly swatted the validity of rumor down in a post he shared to his Instagram Story captioned with the message, “Can’t believe the rumors just go off facts.”
