Rumors Swirl Around Lil Poppa’s Alleged Death in Jacksonville

His Instagram caption might be an indication of the worst:

“First We’re Born, Next We Suffer, Then We Die… The End!!”

Rumors are moving faster than facts today, and the name at the center of it all is Lil Poppa. Social media timelines are flooding with posts claiming the Jacksonville rapper has died by suicide, and the city is reportedly in shock. But here is the complicated part. As of this writing, there has been no official confirmation from law enforcement, major news outlets, family, or his verified team. We have tried to reach out in the news section, but nothing definite.

Here is the crazy part.

There are obituary-style write-ups circulating online…polished and definitive. They describe a 25-year-old rising talent gone too soon, praise his talent and even mention privacy requests from the family. Yikes. Prayers up to him, as I was not fully into him musically.

In situations like this, verification matters, but I am not getting a good vibe. I saw a social media comment where somebody purportedly talked to his mom. So far, we have not gotten a definite. Here is what a source told me via text. (It is unedited.)

Yeah bro, pretty solid man he do you know the singing singer rap type stuff but I like him because he was from Jacksonville and he from the same area Foolio from, but he never really got into the beef and he never dissed anything like that you know. To the point where a lot of people don’t even know he’s from Jacksonville…he was affected by the murderers and stuff. he even did a song they wanted to females that got shot and I miss a beef. He did a song like dedicated to her stuff so I like the man. He was signed early on so he was more commercial than the rest of those guys he was saying because he didn’t have a beef and all that extra stuff attached to him so yeah man, sad man rest in peace

Fans are posting broken heart emojis and commenting in the past tense.

Lil Poppa has long been known for vulnerability in his music and, as I just noted, he’s rapped about it. He spoke openly about struggle, pressure, and the weight of circumstances in Jacksonville’s environment. People felt connected to him.

Hopefully this is just another painful reminder of how quickly misinformation spreads. But it is looking like a devastating loss for Florida Hip-Hop.

For now, we wait.

Izolan: The Hip-Hop Voice Turning Music Into a Movement

In a world where artists often chase charts and headlines, Izolan has built something bigger — a legacy rooted in culture, community, and real-world impact. Known for helping shape Haiti’s Rap Kreyòl movement, the rapper has evolved into far more than a music star. Today, he stands as a symbol of leadership, resilience, and action — proving that hip-hop can be both a soundtrack and a solution.

From Rap Kreyòl Pioneer to Cultural Powerhouse

Long before Haitian hip-hop gained global attention, Izolan was already laying its foundation. Rising in the early 2000s as a standout member of Barikad Crew, he helped bring Haitian Creole rap into the mainstream by blending raw street storytelling with powerful social commentary.

The group’s success wasn’t just about music — it was about representation. Their lyrics captured the realities of everyday Haitians navigating economic hardship, political tension, and the hope for something better. For many fans, Izolan’s voice wasn’t just entertainment; it was reflection, truth, and motivation.

As his solo career expanded, so did his influence. His albums showcased sharp lyricism and deep cultural pride, reinforcing his reputation as one of Haiti’s most authentic and respected voices.

More Than Music: Turning Fame Into Action

While many artists talk about giving back, Izolan built a reputation for quietly making real change.

Over the years, his community-focused efforts have touched multiple areas of life in Haiti — from health care to safety to economic support. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he helped organize fundraising efforts for a health center in his hometown of Arcahaie and donated an ambulance to strengthen emergency response. He has also supported local law enforcement by donating motorcycles, improving mobility and response times in communities that often lack resources.

Even smaller gestures made headlines: in moments of unrest, he stepped in to help struggling street vendors and everyday citizens, showing that his commitment isn’t about image — it’s about impact.

A Million-Gourde Mission: Fighting for Haiti’s Children

His latest initiative may be one of his most powerful yet.

Izolan recently donated one million gourdes to support the rehabilitation of the Haiti Christian Orphanage through the Fondation Cœur et Amour. The funding is helping renovate facilities, improve safety, and create better living conditions for children facing some of Haiti’s toughest realities.

But the donation wasn’t just a one-time gesture. Izolan has publicly called on fellow artists, citizens, and members of the Haitian diaspora to join the movement — pushing for collective action to ensure the orphanage’s transformation becomes lasting and meaningful.

In a nation where children are often the most vulnerable to instability and poverty, efforts like this carry weight far beyond headlines.

Why the World Is Paying Attention

For international audiences — especially in the U.S. — Haiti is often seen through the lens of crisis. Izolan flips that narrative. His story highlights something different: the power of culture to mobilize change.

By connecting music with philanthropy, he shows how artists can become bridges between local struggles and global support. His influence resonates not only inside Haiti but across diaspora communities who see him as proof that success doesn’t mean leaving your people behind — it means lifting them with you.

Beyond the Stage

Izolan’s evolution from rapper to community leader reflects a larger shift happening in global hip-hop. Artists today are expected to stand for something — and Izolan delivers on that expectation with consistency and authenticity.

His music tells the story of Haiti’s challenges and triumphs. His actions help shape what comes next.

And as his influence continues to grow, one thing is clear: Izolan isn’t just making hits — he’s helping rewrite the future of a nation.

Hip-Hop Stars in Dubai: Supercars, Hypercars, and Statement Arrivals

For hip-hop fans, the lifestyle matters just as much as the music. The cars. The entrances. The hotel suites. The backstage moments. Every detail becomes part of the story. When global rap stars land in Dubai, the spotlight doesn’t fade  –  it intensifies.

Dubai has become a recurring destination for international hip-hop artists, whether for headline concerts, exclusive club appearances, brand partnerships, or private escapes. In a genre where automotive culture is deeply woven into lyrics, visuals, and identity, the vehicle an artist chooses in Dubai is never random. It is intentional. It is branding. It is part of the statement.

In recent years, the city has also become globally associated with premium mobility services, including Dubai exotic car rental, giving visiting artists access to the same Lamborghinis, Ferraris, McLarens, and Rolls-Royce models they reference in their music  –  often within hours of landing.

What makes Dubai different is scale. The skyline of Downtown, the ultra-modern highways, the palm-shaped islands, and the grand entrances of five-star resorts create a setting where a supercar doesn’t feel staged  –  it feels natural. For fans tracking every Instagram story or paparazzi frame, the automotive choices become part of the narrative: Which model? Which spec? Chauffeur-driven or self-driven? Hypercar or ultra-luxury SUV?

Below are documented examples based on public appearances, media coverage, and verified social media content that illustrate how hip-hop culture and Dubai’s automotive luxury intersect in real life.

Travis Scott

Travis Scott has visited Dubai multiple times for performances and private events. During his appearances in the UAE, he has been seen around high-end supercars, consistent with his known automotive preferences, which include Lamborghinis and Bugattis. His Dubai visits  –  particularly during major entertainment events  –  have generated significant social media coverage featuring exotic cars set against the city’s iconic skyline.

French Montana

French Montana frequently travels to Dubai and regularly shares content from the city on his verified social media accounts. During his stays, he has been photographed arriving at upscale venues in Rolls-Royce and other luxury vehicles. Montana is widely known for his appreciation of ultra-luxury SUVs such as the Rolls-Royce Cullinan  –  a model strongly associated with VIP mobility in Dubai.

50 Cent

50 Cent has performed in Dubai and attended private events in the emirate. Media coverage of his visits highlights his use of high-end, chauffeur-driven luxury transport consistent with his global image. As an artist whose brand has long been connected to automotive prestige, his Dubai appearances naturally align with that identity.

Rick Ross

Rick Ross  –  an artist whose lyrics frequently reference luxury cars and wealth  –  has visited Dubai for performances and exclusive engagements. Publicly shared content from his trips reflects his affinity for Rolls-Royce and Bentley models. Vehicles such as the Rolls-Royce Phantom and Cullinan are closely tied to his personal brand and have appeared in various international settings connected to his image.

Why Hip-Hop Artists Choose Supercars in Dubai

In hip-hop culture, a car has never been just transportation. It represents success earned, status achieved, and ambition realized. From classic American muscle cars to modern hypercars, automotive symbolism remains central to the genre’s visual language.

Dubai amplifies that connection.

The city offers something few destinations can match: immediate access to some of the world’s rarest supercars and hypercars without long waiting lists or exclusivity barriers. For an artist arriving for a concert or private event, this means stepping off a plane and into a Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren, or Rolls-Royce the same day.

Beyond availability, Dubai provides a cinematic backdrop. The skyline of Downtown Dubai, the waterfront of Dubai Marina, the curves of Palm Jumeirah, and the grand entrances of resorts like Atlantis The Palm create a visual scale that perfectly complements the bold aesthetics of hip-hop culture. A supercar here does not feel excessive  –  it feels proportionate to the environment.

There is also a practical layer. Many artists prioritize privacy and controlled movement. Dubai’s high-end hospitality infrastructure allows VIP guests to travel discreetly while maintaining prestige. Chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royce models are often chosen for formal appearances, while Lamborghinis and Ferraris are preferred for lifestyle shoots, promotional content, or personal enjoyment.

Whether arriving at Coca-Cola Arena for a headline show or attending an invitation-only after-party, hip-hop artists select vehicles that reflect their brand identity. In Dubai, the automotive choice becomes part of the narrative  –  amplified across social media, followed by fans, and embedded into the larger lifestyle story.

For many global rap stars, Dubai is not just a tour stop. It is a stage where music, image, and automotive luxury converge  –  and where the car becomes part of the performance itself.

Top Cars Hip-Hop Stars Choose in Dubai

When hip-hop artists arrive in Dubai, their automotive choices typically follow a clear pattern. The cars are bold, instantly recognizable, and aligned with the larger-than-life image that defines the culture. Based on public appearances, music videos, social media posts, and media coverage, the following models consistently stand out.

1. Lamborghini Aventador

Few cars capture hip-hop energy like the Lamborghini Aventador. Aggressive design, dramatic scissor doors, and a naturally aspirated V12 make it a favorite for artists who want impact. In Dubai’s futuristic setting, the Aventador feels perfectly at home  –  especially for lifestyle shoots and nightlife arrivals.

2. Rolls-Royce Cullinan

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan has become a symbol of modern success in hip-hop culture. Spacious, ultra-luxurious, and imposing, it offers both presence and comfort. Many artists choose the Cullinan for VIP transport between hotels, venues, and private events.

3. Ferrari SF90 Stradale

The hybrid Ferrari SF90 Stradale represents cutting-edge performance combined with prestige. For artists who appreciate speed and technology, this model delivers both visual drama and extreme acceleration  –  ideal for content creation in Downtown Dubai or along Jumeirah’s coastal roads.

4. Bugatti Chiron

The Bugatti Chiron sits at the very top of automotive exclusivity. While not as commonly seen as Lamborghinis or Rolls-Royces, it represents the ultimate flex. In hip-hop culture, where success is often expressed through rarity and scale, the Chiron embodies peak status.

5. Bentley Bentayga

The Bentley Bentayga blends executive refinement with performance. It is often chosen for its understated yet unmistakable luxury appeal. For artists seeking comfort without sacrificing brand power, the Bentayga remains a strong option.

Why These Models Dominate

The cars hip-hop stars select in Dubai typically share three characteristics:

  • Immediate brand recognition
  • Strong visual presence
  • A clear connection to luxury and achievement

In a city built around ambition and scale, these vehicles don’t just complement the environment  –  they amplify it. For fans following every move, the car becomes another headline detail in the story of success.

In Dubai, the music may bring the crowd  –  but the car often sets the tone.

What to Consider When Buying an AirPods Case

Selecting the right AirPods case comes down to how you use your earbuds and what matters most to you.

Protection Level

If your AirPods frequently travel in gym bags or luggage, consider reinforced corners or shock-absorbing materials. For daily commuting and casual use, slim everyday protection is often sufficient.

Design Durability

Look for finishes that are designed to resist everyday wear. Long-lasting prints and coatings can help prevent premature fading or peeling—especially if style is a priority.

Slim vs. Rugged Build

Heavier cases may offer more drop resistance but can feel bulky. Many shoppers prefer a slim, durable profile that preserves portability.

Fit and Accessibility

A secure fit, responsive hinge, and unobstructed charging access are essential. A poorly fitted case can loosen over time or interfere with functionality.

Return Policies and Warranty

Brands that offer straightforward returns and clear warranty coverage reduce purchase uncertainty. Transparent policies reflect confidence in long-term product performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is the Most Protective AirPods Case?

The most protective cases typically use reinforced corners or impact-absorbing materials. Brands focused on engineered drop protection may offer higher impact resistance, though they can add slight bulk.

Are Slim AirPods Cases Protective Enough?

For everyday use—like commuting, office work, or campus life—slim cases are generally sufficient. They’re designed to protect against routine drops and scratches without making your AirPods harder to carry.

Should You Match Your AirPods Case to Your Phone Case?

Matching isn’t required, but many shoppers enjoy coordinating their accessories. Brands with wide design selections and seasonal drops make it easier to create a cohesive look.

Style and Protection Should Work Together

The best AirPods case brands in 2026 combine thoughtful design with dependable everyday protection. Some lean toward rugged engineering, while others focus on premium materials or budget-friendly practicality.

For shoppers who want protection without bulk, aesthetic-forward design, and a wide variety of seasonal styles, Casely continues to stand out as the most well-rounded option. With long-lasting prints, a slim durable profile, and a customer-friendly experience backed by straightforward returns and clear warranty coverage, it offers a balanced approach to style and reliability.

Ultimately, the right AirPods case is one that protects your device, complements your style, and performs consistently in everyday life.

JID Teams With Frosted Flakes To Re-Create Tony The Tiger Jingle

JID turned childhood breakfast memories into his latest track. The Atlanta rapper dropped “HEY TONY!” today, transforming Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes classic jingle into a full Hip-Hop anthem.

The collaboration pairs JID’s signature flow with Tony the Tiger’s motivational energy. Kellogg’s picked the rapper to reimagine their iconic ’90s commercial theme for a new generation of teens.

“Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes and Tony the Tiger were a real staple in our house growing up,” JID said. “It was just part of the routine.”

The track blends JID’s rhythmic style with verses that mirror Tony the Tiger’s encouraging message. His affirmational Hip-Hop approach aligns with the brand’s focus on confidence and potential.

“So, reimagining the iconic ‘Hey Tony’ jingle felt like a no-brainer,” JID explained. “I still remember catching the commercials as a kid, and that nostalgia is real.”

View this post on Instagram

Laura Newman, Vice President of Brand Marketing at WK Kellogg Co, said the partnership made sense. “Hip-Hop is a culture built on that same energy, so teaming up with J.I.D. was a natural connection for us.”

The song comes with limited-edition merchandise and a special cereal box featuring JID alongside Tony the Tiger. The collectible box includes a QR code that links to the track on Spotify and a crossword puzzle celebrating JID’s wordplay.

Fans can buy the exclusive items through JID’s official store. The collaboration extends beyond music into fashion with jerseys and t-shirts branded with both the rapper and the cereal mascot.

JID will perform “HEY TONY!” live for the first time at the Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes “Day Ones” Bowl Game on February 22. The event features four teams playing 7×7 football, with each team receiving donations from the Kellogg’s Mission Tiger Foundation.

The showcase includes a pep rally by JID’s alma mater, Stephenson High School “Sonic Sound” Marching Band from Stone Mountain, Georgia. All participating athletes will receive the limited-edition merchandise and cereal boxes.

The track is available on all streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music. JID’s childhood connection to the cereal made the project personal rather than just another brand deal.

“This is also a chance to bring that energy forward and help hype up the next generation with a soundtrack that motivates them to show up, stay focused, and unlock their potential,” JID said.

iHeartMemphis Arrested Again After Outrageous Police Chase

iHeartMemphis was arrested Tuesday night again in Plantation after he ran from cops and jumped through people’s houses before getting caught.

Plantation police were called to Gatehouse Road to report that the troubled rapper was causing problems. When officers showed up, he took off running.

The 33-year-old Memphis native sprinted through the neighborhood and went inside several private homes while trying to get away. Cops set up a perimeter to catch him.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office provided assistance with its helicopter and K-9 units. The search covered multiple blocks as iHeartMemphis kept moving through residential areas.

The whole chase lasted several hours before they got him in handcuffs.

Police said iHeartMemphis was using his phone during the incident and was posting on social media while they were trying to arrest him. That breaks the rules from his release last week.

This marks his second arrest in eight days. Last Monday, SWAT officers had to get him out of his own house after a standoff that lasted hours.

During that first incident, Colbert barricaded himself inside his Plantation home. He livestreamed the whole thing on Instagram while talking to police through a loudspeaker.

He made strange claims during the broadcast. “I don’t got no guns, just my eye. I can prove, I don’t got nothing. If they kill me, bro, they was trying to stop me from making their movie because it was going to be the best movie ya’ll ever seen.”

iHeartMemphis’s godbrother told Local 10 News that the rapper might have been having a mental health episode. He said he’d never seen him act this way before.

The rapper became famous in 2015 with his dance track Hit the Quan. The song reached number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 and made him a viral sensation.

Before his recent troubles, iHeartMemphis was known as a father of three children and did charity work in his community. His family described him as someone who helped others.

Cardi B Has Sore Booty, Plans Hiatus To Remove Butt Implants After Tour

Cardi B just dropped major news about her body. The Bronx rapper plans to remove more of her butt implants after her “Little Miss Drama” tour wraps up.

The confession happened backstage at her Los Angeles show. Kehlani was feeling Cardi’s curves after their surprise performance of “Safe.”

f”You have so much ass!” Kehlani told Cardi B in a video captured by Real 92.3’s Big Boy’s Neighborhood. The R&B singer playfully tapped Cardi’s behind while laughing.

Cardi B didn’t hesitate with her response. She told the crowd of people around them exactly what she’s planning.

The 33-year-old rapper has been open about her plastic surgery journey for years. She got biopolymer injections at age 21 in a Queens basement for $800. The procedure wasn’t FDA-approved and caused her serious pain.

“They don’t numb your ass with anything,” Cardi told GQ in 2018. “It was the craziest pain ever. I felt like I was gonna pass out. I felt a little dizzy. And it leaks for, like, five days.”

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DU2b9ILE\_\_K/

Cardi has been removing the dangerous injections since 2022. She had 95% of her biopolymers taken out in August 2022. The mom of four got another round removed in January 2024.

During her appearance on Call Her Daddy last year, Cardi explained why more surgery is needed.

“Yeah, I would like my butt to be smaller, but I already did a reduction already,” she said. “For me to reduce my butt, I have to literally sit on a table, get cut from the bottom, get cut from the top, and be in bed rest for like three months.”

The process requires serious recovery time. Cardi plans to disappear completely after her tour ends in mid-April 2026.

“I don’t want to hear nobody for nobody for three months,” she repeated in the backstage video. “I’m going to Columbia. Nobody hit me up. Nobody nothing.”

Cardi’s “Little Miss Drama” tour supports her second album, Am I The Drama?. The North American run includes major stops in New York, Chicago and other cities through April.

Cardi B Gives BBL Update After Her Junk Pops Out The Trunk

Cardi B is plotting a post-tour transformation, but it ain’t what you think. The Bronx rapper says she plans to remove her BBL in Colombia once she wraps her upcoming tour run.

Yes, you read that correctly. While the rumor mill is usually chewing on who she is beef with or her relationships. During a recent social media moment, Cardi revealed she fully intends to get her BBL removed in Colombia after the tour is done. She said it in a joking tone, but anybody watching closely could there’s likely some facts there.

View this post on Instagram

Let us be honest.

Over the last year, fans have noticed that Cardi has been carrying what looks like a very substantial silhouette. She has always been curvy, but the junk is coming out the trunk at this point. She is pretty small so you can imagine that kind of enhancement comes with literal weight. Touring is no joke. That donkey is a lot to manage.

Now here is where it gets interesting. Cardi choosing Colombia is not random. The country has become a global hub for cosmetic procedures, drawing clients from all over the world. Some swear by the expertise. Others raise eyebrows at the risks. Either way, she seems comfortable with the idea.

The bigger question is whether she will actually go through with it.

Cardi is known for speaking first and deciding later. However, she has been transparent about cosmetic work. Her body is her business so we’ll see.

So what do you think?

Usher Reveals Father Issues Nearly Ruined His Music Career

Usher just dropped some real talk about his career during a sit-down with ABC News and got deep about almost walking away from music right after his biggest success.

The Confessions superstar told Linsey Davis that he seriously considered quitting music in 2004. That’s wild timing since Confessions had just sold 1.1 million copies in its first week and went on to move 10 million albums worldwide.

“You sell 1.1 million units in the first week. You sell 10 million albums, you’re like, I don’t even know if I want the pressure of trying to beat that again,” Usher said during the interview.

But the pressure wasn’t the only thing eating at him. Usher opened up about missing his father during the most important time of his career. He said not having that relationship weighed heavily on his mind as he was becoming a husband and father himself.

“I did not have a relationship with my father at the time. And I was moving into a new maturity and a new level which then I would have children, I would be married,” he explained. “So all of my everything that mattered changed. My perspective changed.”

The Atlanta native said those personal struggles made him question everything. His whole world was shifting while he was at the top of the music game.

That disconnect between his public success and private pain had him thinking it might be time to step back.

“That’s kind of where that came from,” Usher said about considering retirement. “But obviously I wasn’t finished because there was more to offer. There was more to do.”

That mindset comes from his spiritual foundation. Usher talked about starting in the church choir at age 6, with his mom as the youth director. That early connection to faith shaped how he sees his whole career.

“The faith in the unseen and the fact that we’re all blessed to be vessels for some greater purpose is part of everything that we’re doing,” he said. “While faced with adversity, you could look at life as an obstacle and opportunity or an opportunity. I’ve always looked at life as an opportunity to do something no matter what I’m going through.”

Usher’s grandmother, Tina, played a huge role in shaping that giving spirit. He said she and other elders in his family taught him that being blessed means being a blessing to others.

“They wanted better for us. As a result of what they knew they offered, they wanted to bring joy,” he said about his grandmother and other family elders. “It was my nanny who instilled these moral values to help those in need. It was my mother reminding me that is who I am innately underneath all of my admiration and ambition.”

The eight-time Grammy winner said his approach to adversity comes from that foundation. Instead of seeing problems as roadblocks, he views them as chances to grow and help others.

Applebee’s Launches Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg’s Cocktails With Collectable Tattoos

Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg just made dining at Applebee’s way cooler. The Hip-Hop legends teamed up with the restaurant chain to bring their award-winning Still G.I.N. to tables nationwide.

Applebee’s just rolled out two new cocktails called Still Together Sips. The drinks feature the duo’s ultra-premium gin that won a Masters Medal at the 2025 Gin Masters Awards.

“For 20 years, I drank the same gin,” Dre said. “I challenged our team to beat that standard, to create something better than what I’d been loyal to for two decades. They delivered.”

The first drink is the $7 Young, Wild & Free Fruit Punch. Snoop calls this his go-to cocktail. It mixes Still G.I.N. with grenadine, lemon sour and pineapple juice. The name comes from Snoop’s 2011 hit with Wiz Khalifa.

The second option is the $10 Rollin’ On The Beach. This laid-back drink combines Still G.I.N. with peach schnapps, prickly pear, orange juice and cranberry juice. Servers pour it tableside from a chilled shaker tin for multiple servings.

Both cocktails come with original temporary tattoos. Three collectible designs are available. Applebee’s wants guests to make every sip memorable with these fun additions.

Still G.I.N. pays tribute to “Still D.R.E.” from Dre’s 2001 album. The gin also connects to Snoop’s classic “Gin and Juice” from his 1994 debut Doggystyle. Dre produced that track.

Michelle Chin, Applebee’s chief marketing officer, called the drinks perfect for toasting real friendships. The temporary tattoos add a shareable element designed for social media buzz.

The partnership makes sense for both sides. Applebee’s regularly runs celebrity drink promotions. The chain operates over 1,500 locations in the US and 16 countries.

This collaboration puts Still G.I.N. in front of millions of diners who might not find it at liquor stores.

Shyne Blasts Diddy, Praises 50 Cent & Re-Addressed Old Wounds In New Interview

Shyne says he wished he had someone like 50 Cent in his corner during his legal troubles involving Sean “Diddy” Combs.

“I just don’t enter the chat randomly. But in private conversations, I’ve defended 50. I wish I had a 50 when Diddy did me dirty and sent me to prison for all that time,” Shyne said during a recent sitdown with AllHipHop’s Chuck Jigsaw Creekmur and DJ Thoro.

The former Bad Boy Records artist turned Belizean politician is speaking with renewed candor about the chapter that altered his life. In a conversation that, chiefly promoted his upcoming headlining performance in Brooklyn on May 2, he blended reflection with emotion. Shyne made it clear he still carries the weight of his 2001 conviction tied to the 1999 Club New York shooting in Manhattan that left three bystanders injured.

The remarks land at a moment when several former associates have begun reassessing their ties to Combs. For Shyne, this is not a trending topic but a lived experience that resulted in a 10 year prison sentence and eventual deportation to Belize for over another decade. He was convicted of assault reckless endangerment and gun possession following the nightclub dispute involving Combs. He has long maintained his innocence.

“Yes, there was a moment where I was larger than life while incarcerated… I was giving them the work. Every opportunity I get, I let people know how terrible a human being I thought he was,” he said. “But after that, when I got out, people kind of got over it. I was deported and lost my voice. And so people didn’t really want to hear about Diddy. They had kind of gotten over it at that point. But he’s the reason I’m deported.”

He also professed that he has not watched the Netflix docu-series Sean Combs: The Reckoning because it would force him to relive his trauma.

Shyne’s public support of 50 Cent is especially striking given 50’s long running rivalry with Combs.

That tension escalated when 50 Cent executive produced the Netflix series, which examined the long-running allegations surrounding the Bad Boy founder. Despite backing 50’s stance, Shyne said he deliberately avoided watching the project.

“I didn’t watch it because that’s my trauma,” he said during an interview with The Breakfast Club. “Without getting into what he did to Cassie and all the other people that accused him, I know what he did to me as far as sending me to prison.”

Shyne conducted an entire interview with AllHipHop, where he explains his new ventures, new music and his thoughts on politics.

Ray J Manager Says: Clients “Gotta Do Their Job” Despite Singer’s Bloody-Eyed Performance

Ray J‘s manager just delivered the coldest response to his bloody Valentine’s Day performance.

Melinda Santiago told PEOPLE her artists “gotta do their job whether they are bleeding or not.” She said this after Ray J performed in Shreveport with blood streaming from his eyes and a heart monitor strapped to his chest.

The 45-year-old R&B singer hit the stage on February 14 looking like he belonged in a hospital. Blood dripped down his face during the entire show.

He wore black sunglasses that couldn’t hide the red mess underneath.

Video footage shows Ray J passing out roses to fans while blood ran down his cheeks. He pulled off his orange shirt to reveal the heart monitor attached to his chest.

The crowd watched him interact with fans while medical equipment tracked his failing heart.

“We all know that Ray J has been under the weather, but all my artists that work with me gotta do their job whether they are bleeding or not,” Santiago told the outlet.

Ray J backed up his manager’s harsh stance. He posted an Instagram photo on February 17 showing him and Santiago at an airport runway.

The caption read “WHATEVER MELINDA SAYS GOES” with a blood drop emoji.

The “One Wish” singer looked cheerful in the photo, pointing at the camera while standing next to a black car. Santiago covered her face while sitting inside the vehicle.

Before the Shreveport show, Ray J posted a Facebook video saying, “I’m putting my life on the line for this show!!” He wasn’t exaggerating.

Doctors told Ray J his heart only functions at 25 percent capacity. Normal heart function ranges between 50 and 70 percent.

The singer was hospitalized on January 7 in Las Vegas with severe pneumonia and heart complications. This marked his second pneumonia battle in four years.

His first case happened during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021.

Ray J blamed his heart problems on excessive drinking and drug use during Instagram Live sessions. He claimed doctors told him he wouldn’t live past 2027 and his heart had turned “black” from substance abuse.

Ray J has upcoming tour dates scheduled for Houston on February 26, Minneapolis on March 28, Kansas City on June 13 and Detroit on June 26.

Skrilla Watches “6-7” Explode At NBA & College Games As Trend Continues

Philadelphia rapper Skrilla can’t believe what he’s watching on TV these days. His viral “6-7” chant has taken over basketball games across America.

“That’s crazy,” Skrilla said in a recent FOX54 News interview. “I’d be so amazed seeing that though. I’ve never seen nothing like that in sports.”

The 26-year-old artist created the phenomenon with his 2024 track “Doot Doot (6-7).” He leaked the song on Instagram without much expectation. It was Dictionary.com’s 2025 Word of the Year.

Fans pack arenas waiting for teams to hit 67 points. When it happens, the crowd erupts, players make the hand gesture, and coaches join in. Even grandparents know the drill.

“I wanted to be an NBA player, NFL player, cross-country player when I grew up,” Skrilla said. “But I feel as though ‘6-7’ made me that. Just off of a song.”

The Charlotte Hornets and New Orleans Pelicans now feature “6-7” cameras during timeouts.

The craze started with 6’7″ Charlotte star LaMelo Ball and prep standout Taylen Kinney driving TikTok popularity. Basketball highlight reels featuring the song went viral throughout 2025.

No one knows what “6-7” actually means. Skrilla keeps it mysterious on purpose.

“Everybody created their own meaning,” he told The Associated Press. “The teachers created their own meaning. The football teams created their own, and the basketball players. ‘6-7’ is global. It’s bigger than me now.”

Megan Thee Stallion Gets $275K Bentley From Klay Thompson As B-Day Present

Some people get flowers for their birthday. Others get dinner and a movie. But when you’re dating an NBA star who’s earned nearly $300 million in his career, you get a quarter-million-dollar Bentley wrapped in a bow.

Klay Thompson just proved he’s not playing games when it comes to spoiling Megan Thee Stallion.

The Dallas Mavericks guard dropped serious cash on a brand-new blue Bentley Flying Spur for his girlfriend’s 31st birthday.

The “WAP” rapper shared glimpses of her birthday celebration on Instagram, showing off the stunning blue luxury vehicle complete with a matching ribbon.

“Aww man I was not ready for this birthday trip to be over. A time was definitely had. THANK YOU BABY,” Megan Thee Stallion wrote.

Blue is Megan’s favorite color, which means Thompson was paying attention to the little details that matter. The car starts at around $275,000 before any custom work, but when you’re making $16.7 million a year like Thompson, that’s basically pocket change.

https://www.instagram.com/p/DU3aL\_0EUu\_

This wasn’t just any random Tuesday either. Thompson planned the whole thing during the NBA All-Star break, whisking Megan away to a tropical paradise where he surprised her with the keys.

The timing was perfect since their birthdays are only a week apart. Megan had just thrown Thompson an epic 36th birthday bash, and he clearly wanted to return the favor in a big way.

But here’s the thing that has everyone feeling a little envious: this is just the latest in a series of over-the-top gestures between these two.

Back in December, Megan shocked Thompson by gifting him a $300,000 Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch. That’s right, she dropped three hundred grand on a timepiece.

The couple has been trading luxury gifts like they’re playing some kind of expensive game of one-upmanship.

To put Thompson’s spending power in perspective, the man has earned $298.7 million throughout his NBA career. He spent 13 seasons with the Golden State Warriors before signing a three-year, $50 million deal with Dallas in 2024.

His current net worth sits around $140 million, so a $275,000 car is less than 0.2% of his total wealth. For comparison, that’s like someone with $50,000 in the bank spending $100.

The relationship between Thompson and Megan became public in July 2025, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Thompson even renamed his boat the “S.S. Stallion” in November, which should tell you everything about how serious he is.

His father, former NBA player Mychal Thompson, has already given his stamp of approval, praising Megan and her cooking skills on his podcast.

These two don’t just exchange expensive gifts either. They’re constantly showing each other off on social media, from mini golf dates to cuddling sessions that make single people everywhere feel lonely.

What makes this relationship particularly sweet is how they celebrate each other’s successes. Thompson has been spotted at Megan’s concerts, while she’s been seen supporting him at Mavericks games.

They’re not just dating; they’re each other’s biggest fans.

Tsu Surf Went From Free Man, Back To Prison, Rumors Say

This is a rumor that is going to read like a news article. The rumors and the talk is now at a fever pitch with our dude Tsu Surf! Here is what we are hearing:

Tsu Surf completed his federal RICO sentence this week but instead of walking free he was transferred to a Michigan jail to serve time on an older gun conviction.

The New Jersey Battle rap standout, born Rahjon Cox, had been scheduled for release from federal custody on February 16, 2026, according to Federal Bureau of Prisons records. People in the culture had been anticipating his return. But, that may not be the case.

Surf was arrested in October 2022 in New Jersey as part of a federal indictment tied to alleged gang activity. In November 2023, he pleaded guilty to racketeering conspiracy and possession of firearms and ammunition as a convicted felon. A federal judge in Newark sentenced him to five years in prison, imposed a $15,000 fine and ordered three years of supervised release following his incarceration. Under federal guidelines, there is no traditional parole, though inmates may receive credit for good behavior or qualify for halfway house placement.

As his federal term concluded, expectations mounted that the esteemed battle MC would return home. However, records indicate that immediately upon completion of the federal sentence, he was transferred to Michigan authorities to begin serving a separate sentence stemming from a 2011 firearm case. That sentence reportedly carries a term of 12 to 30 months. That is a long time ago. I am wondering what happened here. Did they have an outstanding warrant and caught up with him after he was arrested? Or something else?

It remains unclear whether the Michigan sentence will run concurrently with time already served or consecutively, which could extend his incarceration. Publicly available records have not yet clarified how much credit, if any, Surf may receive toward the 12 to 30 month term. This is all speculation.

Legal experts note that transfers like this are common when an individual has unresolved or outstanding state matters. Once a federal sentence concludes, authorities often release the inmate directly into the custody of another jurisdiction if a detainer has been lodged.

As of now, neither Surf nor his representatives have issued a public statement addressing the transfer. The development has sparked renewed conversation within the Battle rap and broader Hip-Hop communities.

For now, the celebration is postponed. Now, I know why my source on Tsu Surf was so tight-lipped about the case.

Kanye West Confirms First India Concert After Tour Bans

Kanye West just dropped major news for Indian Hip-Hop fans. The Chicago rapper confirmed his first-ever India concert for March 29 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.

District by Zomato broke the news on Monday with an Instagram post featuring West’s concert poster. The announcement reads, “IT’S TIME. YE LIVE. 29 MARCH | JAWAHARLAL NEHRU STADIUM, NEW DELHI.”

Tickets go on sale Wednesday at 4 P.M. through District Updates. White Fox India, Wizcraft Global and Plush Entertainment are organizing the show.

West has visited India twice before for non-performance reasons. He came in 2009 for a spiritual retreat at an ashram and returned in 2012 to promote his women’s fashion line in Mumbai.

India’s Hip-Hop scene has exploded in recent years with massive international shows. Travis Scott and Post Malone both performed successful tours in India, drawing huge crowds.

West’s timing appears strategic, as India is becoming a major market for international rap acts. The country’s young population has embraced Hip-Hop culture and Western music.

The Delhi show also coincides with West’s planned European return. He’s scheduled to perform July 18, 2026, at RCF Arena in Reggio Emilia, Italy – his first European show since 2014.

West announced a concert in the Netherlands for June 6, 2026, at GelreDome in Arnhem. These dates mark his gradual return to international markets after the 2025 cancellations.

View this post on Instagram

The concerts marks West’s return to international touring after a brutal 2025. Multiple venues across Europe and Asia canceled his shows over antisemitic controversies.

Australia banned West entirely after he released “Heil Hitler,” a track glorifying Nazi ideology. Immigration Minister Tony Burke canceled West’s visa, calling his content “revolting anti-Jewish propaganda.”

West’s wife, Bianca Censori, is Australian, making the ban particularly personal. The couple had visited Australia regularly before the restrictions.

Slovakia’s Rubicon Festival dropped West from their July 2025 lineup after protest groups organized petitions. Festival organizers canceled the entire event rather than proceed with West as the headliner.

South Korea pulled the plug on the West’s planned May 2025 Seoul concert. Organizers cited “external pressure and logistical challenges” when they scrapped the show.

Prague’s mayor publicly refused to host any West concerts. The Czech official said there was “no room for antisemitism” in the capital city.

West later claimed he was “done with antisemitism” and re-released the controversial track as “Hallelujah.” The new version replaced Nazi references with Christian lyrics.

He also sat down with a Rabbi to seek forgiveness and placed a full-page ad in the Wall Street Journal to apologize for his antisemitic behavior.

The India announcement comes as West prepares his comeback album Bully. The project drops on March 20, 2026, through Gamma after multiple delays.ff

R Kelly Prison Investigation: Warden Phone Number Lands Singer in Hole

Earlier this week, AllHipHop exclusively reported that R. Kelly is back in the hole at his North Carolina federal prison. Now we know why: a phone number that belonged to a retired warden.

Prison officials at FCI Butner Medium 1 placed the R&B singer in the Special Housing Unit while they investigate how he got the contact info. His lawyer, Beau Brindley, claimed the whole thing is a misunderstanding.

The drama started when Kelly joined a mentor program at the prison. The program was designed to help inmates guide other prisoners. The warden who ran the program gave Kelly his personal cell phone number before retiring.

“He gave Kelly his cell phone number in case the convicted felon needed to reach out to him to seek advice about the mentor program,” Brindley said.

But Kelly’s cellmate got busted with a contraband mobile phone. That’s when everything went sideways. Prison guards searched their shared cell after finding the illegal phone.

They discovered the retired warden’s number written in Kelly’s notebook. Officials immediately moved Kelly to solitary confinement.

The Special Housing Unit is prison slang for “the hole.” Inmates spend up to 23 hours a day locked in a cell with severe restrictions.

R. Kelly is serving 30 years in 2021 for racketeering, bribery and illegal sex with minors in New York. Then Chicago federal court hit him with 20 more years in 2022 for child pornography and enticing a minor.

The 58-year-old singer maintains his innocence. His legal team continues fighting both convictions through appeals.

The timing disrupted preparation for R. Kelly’s motion for a new trial in Chicago federal court. His legal team accuses prosecutors of misconduct in that case.

Big Sean Discusses Therapy Journey After Nipsey Hussle Died

Big Sean never planned to become a mental health advocate. The Detroit rapper just wanted to share his truth about the dark period that followed Nipsey Hussle‘s death in 2019.

“I was just sharing what was going on in my life,” Big Sean told ABC News’ Linsey Davis. “I didn’t realize that I was being so vulnerable. I wasn’t trying to be a spokesperson for mental health per se.”

The rapper’s honesty came after he experienced what he calls “heavy ups and downs” following the loss of his close friend and collaborator. Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed outside his Marathon Clothing store in Los Angeles on March 31, 2019.

“I was just expressing how I was going into therapy and experiencing a time of heavy ups and downs, a time of depression,” Big Sean explained during the interview.

The mental health struggle hit Big Sean harder than anything he’d faced before. He described the experience as hitting a wall that threatened to crush him completely.

“It felt like I hit a wall… and I either had to climb over it, or it was gonna fall on me and crush me,” he said. “I had been so about my work that I lost touch with the person that I was.”

This disconnect from himself led to what Big Sean calls “a very deep battle of depression, deeper than I experienced when I was like a teenager.”

The weight of grief, combined with years of putting work before personal well-being, created a perfect storm.

Big Sean and Nipsey Hussle had developed a strong friendship through their shared passion for Hip-Hop and community building.

The two collaborated on “Deep Reverence,” a track that appeared on Big Sean’s 2020 album Detroit 2. The song featured posthumous vocals from Nipsey Hussle and served as a tribute to their bond.

The loss forced Big Sean to make a difficult decision about his career priorities. He realized that continuing to put music first would only deepen his depression.

“I had to take time away from the music industry being my first obligation, and I had to put myself first,” he revealed.

This decision led to a four-year gap between Detroit 2 and his most recent album, Better Me Than You, which dropped in August 2024. The extended break allowed Big Sean to focus on therapy and personal healing.

During his time away from music, Big Sean learned valuable lessons about balance and self-care. He discovered the importance of making time for joy and fun, not just work and obligations.

“You got to be serious about having fun, because as fast as time goes, we’re here for a limited amount of time,” he said with a laugh.

Therapy became a crucial tool in Big Sean’s recovery process. He credits professional help with giving him the skills to navigate his depression and rebuild his relationship with himself.

Nicki Minaj To Speak At Donald Trump’s $2 Trillion Crypto Forum

Nicki Minaj is heading to Mar-a-Lago this week to speak at the Trump family’s World Liberty Forum. The rapper will join 300 global leaders at the crypto event on February 18.

The World Liberty Forum will bring together CEOs from Coinbase, BitGo, Franklin Templeton and Goldman Sachs. FIFA president Gianni Infantino and celebrity investor Kevin O’Leary will also attend the Mar-a-Lago gathering.

Donald Trump Jr. co-founded World Liberty Financial, the crypto company hosting the event. The venture has raised $550 million through its WLFI token sales, though investors cannot sell their holdings yet.

The World Liberty Forum represents the Trump family’s latest crypto initiative. The company has announced plans for foreign exchange platforms, digital asset treasuries and federal banking licenses.

The event aims to define “what the next century of American innovation, leadership, and economic influence will look like,” according to Donald Trump Jr.

The gathering will focus on the future of finance and technology.

However, World Liberty Financial has faced criticism from investors who bought WLFI tokens. The token price has dropped 69% from its peak while holders remain unable to sell their investments.

The crypto market has lost $2 trillion since October, raising questions about Trump’s impact on digital assets. Some crypto influencers have turned against the president over the market decline.

The forum comes as Nicki Minaj faces heavy criticism for her recent support of Trump.

Minaj’s Trump support started with her backing his claims about Christian persecution in Nigeria. She publicly endorsed his allegations that Christians face attacks in the African nation.

Next, she appeared at the Trump Accounts Summit in January and declared herself the president’s biggest fan. Minaj pledged her own money to support the government savings program for children.

Nicki Minaj has brushed off criticism of her support for Trump. She told interviewer Erika Kirk that she doesn’t care about the backlash from her industry.

“I’m a Sagittarius and I care but if I’m doing right I don’t care,” Nick Minaj said when asked about the negative response. She maintained her support won’t waver despite the attacks.

The rapper said the treatment of Trump is what made her support him in the first place. She described feeling sympathy for how he was being “bullied” by his opponents and the media.
