Houston-bred recording artist Travis Scott is currently one of the most talked about music acts in the world. His latest album, Utopia, became a trending topic since its release on July 28.
At one point, it looked as if Travis Scott would present a historic concert experience at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt before that show got canceled. However, the Texan is now headed to another site associated with an ancient empire.
Italy’s former Roman chariot-racing stadium, Circus Maximus, will host a Utopia live event on August 7. The site, which dates back to the 6th century BCE, can reportedly accommodate more than 200,000 people. Travis Scott made the announcement on his social media accounts on Tuesday, August 1.
“FIRST STOP UTOPIA LIVE AT CIRCUS MAXIMUS. WE OUT!!!!!” wrote Scott on Instagram. Circus Maximus is also the name of the chart-topper’s new film. He presented a trailer for his self-directed movie late last month.
Travis Scott’s latest studio LP contains a star-studded lineup of guest features. Drake, Playboi Carti, Beyoncé, 21 Savage, The Weeknd, Young Thug, Westside Gunn, Kid Cudi, Bad Bunny, Future, SZA, and more acts appear on the album.
Utopia has received mostly positive reactions. It presently has a Metacritic.com score of 62/100 which signifies generally favorable reviews from professional music critics. Travis Scott also managed to gain an 8.6/10 user score on the review aggregator website.
Rapper Cardi B could be facing legal trouble. The Bronx native threw a microphone at a concertgoer in Las Vegas. As law enforcement looks into the situation, the mic in question will also be auctioned off for a good cause.
Cardi B went viral on social media over the weekend. A video of her retaliating against someone in the audience at Drai’s Beach Club spread across the internet. According to the footage, a woman doused the performer with a cup of liquid before Cardi chucked the microphone into the crowd.
Local police reportedly opened a battery investigation against Cardi B. Conflicting reports suggest the “Jealousy” rhymer may have hit the wrong person with her mic toss. Additional video also showed Cardi asking fans to cool her off with water while performing at the event.
The Microphone’s Owner Hopes To Help Children & Veterans
According to TMZ, the Las Vegas production company The Wave decided to auction off the now-infamous Shure microphone from the Drai’s Beach Club concert. Proceeds from the eBay listing will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project and Friendship Circle Las Vegas. As of press time, the current bid for the item sits at $30,100.
“I was encouraged to sell the mic but decided I would try to do something good. 100% of the profit from the sale of this mic will be evenly split among 2 charities,” reads the eBay description. “The first charity is a local Las Vegas charity called Friendship Circle Las Vegas. The friendship circle is an organization that has teens and young adults volunteers helping children, teens, and other young adults with special needs.”
The seller continued, “The 2nd charity is Wounded Warrior Project. Wounded Warrior Project helps to bring independence back to our most severely wounded veterans. While I did not serve, my father served in the USAF and my son-in-law served in the USMC.”
Lil Baby has given back to the kids in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia in a big way, teaming up with Footlocker to help out local communities for his second annual Back to School drive ahead of the upcoming school year.
In a video montage shared by the hometown hero on Instagram, Lil Baby can be seen getting hands on. He dished out sneakers and school supplies in multiple locations across the city, with the giveaways continuing until well into the night. He took pictures with kids and even manned the ice cream truck.
“No Matter How The Narrative Switch , I’m One Of The Best To Ever Do This S###,” Lil Baby captioned the video. “3 giveaways In The Same Day.” Watch the heartwarming video below.
Lil Baby reportedly gave away more than $300k worth of sneakers and other supplies in partnership with Footlocker at the brand’s store in the West End Mall. He also gave out free haircuts at a local barber shop and put on other activities for the kids on site. The drive provided meals in partnership with Goodr, a local B Corp working to combat food waste and end hunger.
Meanwhile, Lil Baby recently linked up with Dallas Mavericks budding star Jaden Hardy in Dallas. The “Go Hard” hitmaker was in town on July 29 for his It’s Only Us tour. He met up with Hardy, who gave him a rare No. 3 jersey.
The 21-year-old point guard only wore the No.3 jersey in his rookie season before switching to No.1 earlier this summer. Hardy shared a picture of their meeting on Instagram while quoting Lil Baby’s “Double Down” lyrics.
“Watch me shake the world and wake up everyone who been sleeping on me,” he penned in the caption.
Method Man has revealed how he transformed his life after battling depression to become a person who radiates happiness.
During a candid interview with Men’s Health, published August 1, the Wu-Tang Clan rapper delved into the issues he faced at the height of his fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
“I was just being irresponsible,” Method Man began. “I wasn’t taking care of my finances in a proper fashion. The admiration wasn’t the same. I didn’t think it would bother me that much, but it did — people’s opinions. I was just angry.”
The Power actor continued: “It went from this childhood joy, to this euphoric feeling of celebrity, to feeling inadequate and not good enough. That’s where the depression and stuff came in.”
He realized that he “had been depressed since I was a youngster,” before starting his music career. “A lot of PTSD I had never dealt with before started resurfacing,” he added. “But I didn’t know what it was then.”
Method Man explained he “just wasn’t a happy person,” and was surrounded by people who “were just as miserable.” He grew tired of the unhappiness and “wanted everything light,” shunning the “darkness” he had experienced.
“It had nothing to do with other people,” Method Man stated. “It was just me. What can I control? That’s what I did; I took control after that. I stopped valuing other people’s opinions, and instead of being my biggest critic, I became my biggest fan.”
In the process, Meth began practicing “Self-love” to become kinder to himself. “Looking yourself in the mirror and honestly saying that you love yourself,” he said of the process. “But it’s one thing to say and then another to go and do it. Show that you love yourself. That’s all I’ve been doing. What people see now is just happiness.”
Don’t Call Method Man A Sex Symbol
Elsewhere during the interview, Method Man doubled down on his refusal to accept being labeled a sex symbol. “Put the words together. Sex and symbol. What’s the symbol? I’m not doing anything. So what’s the symbol?” he questioned.
However, while he loves “every freaking minute” of his female fans going crazy for him, Method Man is adamant, “I don’t want to be that guy.” He added, “You get to a certain age where you just stop caring, and I think that’s the sexiest thing in the world right there.”
Meek Mill has not only accused record labels of incentivizing artists to create toxic music, he also claims he’s been playing the Devil’s advocate the whole time.
Per usual, there’s typically a headline to follow anytime Meek Mill is out in public, as is the case with his recent appearance at the 114th NAACP National Convention. Fresh off the stage from his cameo at Drake’s It’s All A Blur Tour, Meek Mill appeared to be clear and level-headed while speaking at the special panel. (I would probably feel empowered if I was sitting next to billionaire Robert Kraft, too.)
Then, seemingly out of nowhere, Meek Mill appears to put his cape on and detail how the rap game is Gotham City and how he’s been Batman the longest.
“Before, I wasn’t on stages like this,” Meek Mill said in part. “I was on rap stages rapping about violence and guns. We get paid to rap about that stuff. They actually pay us more when we rap about more ignorant stuff so I make sure I even the line and come and talk on stages like this.
He added, “The NAACP opened doors for people like me to be able to power forward. The things that fund us don’t power me forward.”
Lowkey, it seems like a bit of a stretch that Meek Mill has been the rapper to tip the scales of morality back to baseline when things get out of hand. We are talking about the same man who willingly photographed himself with french fries on his legs fresh out of the pool.
But at the end of the day, whether we are talking about a hangover toilet pic Meek Mill or his Dreamchasers rap crusader alter ego, folks have to admit he’s right.
The only real conscious projects we got last year that topped the charts were Kendrick Lamar’s Mr.Morale & The Big Steppers and Tyler, The Creator’s masterwork CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST. Aside from that, we got a toxic Future record, a 21 Savage and Drake collab album—and NBA YoungBoy somehow signed a $60 million deal after releasing seven albums of straight spin music.
On the real, though, let’s get a few more flashy mainstream rappers on the same tip Meek Mill is on. Not only because it’s on some real deal They Cloned Tyrone-ish, but because I don’t want Meek Mill influencing the entire rap game that prison reform for inmates looks like free Audemars Peugeot watches and strip clubs at back-to-school drives in Philadelphia.
Beyoncé has seemingly addressed the controversy surrounding Lizzo after three dancers accused the “About Damn Time” singer of sexual harassment in a scathing lawsuit.
Videos surfaced on social media showing the iconic songstress performing “Break My Soul (The Queens Remix)” at the Boston, Massachusetts stop of her Renaissance tour Tuesday night (August 1). In the clips, Bey switched up the lyrics to the song. Beyoncé lists multiple trailblazing Black women, but instead of naming Lizzo, she skipped over her name and repeated Erykah Badu’s name four times. Check out the video below.
Beyoncé reiterating Badu and skipping Lizzo… that’s on hitting 2 birds with 1 stone 😭😭😭https://t.co/Oneyofc8aZ
Earlier on Tuesday, news broke that Lizzo faces a lawsuit from three former dancers accusing her of sexual harassment and a hostile work environment. Arianna Davis, Noelle Rodriguez and Crystal Williams are suing the singer, her production company and dance captain, Shirlene Quigley.
They claim they were the victims of assault, false imprisonment, and sexual, racial and religious harassment, amongst other allegations.
Lizzo previously shared her joy at Beyoncé name-checking her while she was at a Renaissance show in Poland.
“In that moment I was thinking about baby me, listening to Happy Face by destiny’s child and crying myself to sleep because of bullies,” Lizzo wrote on Instagram in June. “I thought about Beyoncé jumping into the room where Tina Turner was waiting to meet her for the first time. I think of what we all mean to people and how cyclical it is. We are all so infinitesimally and maximally connected and significant. It’s an honor. Thank You @beyonce.”

Lizzo, the “Good as Hell” queen, is facing some serious heat as three of her former dancers are taking legal action against their former boss. Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez are calling her out, along with Big Grrrl Big Touring and Shirlene Quigley, in a lawsuit that just dropped like a bomb. Now some of you may have read up on this in some of our previous posts.
According to the court docs filed on Tuesday, these dancers are accusing Lizzo and her crew of some straight-up foul behavior. Weight shaming? How is somebody with a rep of celebrating all shapes and sizes get accused of weight shaming? And then there is the allegations of sexual degradation! There are reports of pressure to get down with some messed up sex shows? They are not holding back.
Arianna and Crystal allege they got the full-blown boot from their jobs, which is tied to the alleged toxic environment they were subjected to. As for Noelle, she quit because of Lizzo’s alleged jaw-dropping actions.
But wait, it gets wilder! The Amsterdam trip, back in February 2023, was no ordinary tour escapade. Lizzo invited ’em for a night out in the city, but it went way left, straight into the red light district, if you know what I’m saying.
The lawsuit says, “… things quickly got out of hand. Lizzo began inviting cast members to take turns touching the nude performers, catching d!ldos launched from the performers’ v@ginas, and eating bananas protruding from the performers’ v@ginas.” YOOOOOO! Does she not know these are employees? Even if some of the accusation are true, this could be ruinous for Lizzo!
Now, y’all know that Amsterdam is no joke—it’s infamous for sex theaters, adult shops, and all sorts of wild stuff you can imagine. These dancers found themselves in a whole different world, and it is not a good look for Lizzo and her camp. I am sure they are mounting a vigorous legal defense! She will have access to the greatest legal team.
Fly Soulja, one of the infamous Island Boys internet twins, has come out of the closet as gay—but how seriously can we take him?
I think it should be obvious that any individual’s sexual orientation shouldn’t be the butt of a joke and their preferences should be respected. This isn’t me saying I don’t respect Fly Soulja’s decision to acknowledge his status within the LGBTQ community. However, it’s me saying it’s hard to believe the sincerity of it all considering the amount of cap in Fly Soulja’s rap on a daily basis. I mean, if I’m being honest, on any given day bro will display more cap-ery than cap-fueling Erykah Badu and Beyoncé’s tour top-hat beef.
That’s partly why I find it hard to believe Fly Soulja would even come out of the closet on a live forum such as TikTok in the first place. Correct me if I am wrong, but it just feels like bro was riding the NPC badge-spamming livestreaming wave and decided to cap his viewers down a rabbit hole of faux-homosexuality. Dawg really sat there and grinned into the camera after he said he was a top. In what world is anyone taking bro seriously—including himself?
It also literally feels like just a week ago he and his brother trolled social media by hinting at their taboo p### activities with an incestuous kiss to promote their OnlyFans account. Boosie Badazz was a big fan of that stunt.
Digging deeper though, not only does Fly Soulja have a kid—a newborn, baby-child infant type kid—he had as many as two, yes two, girlfriends up until last month. There’s literally a video of him on TikTok with his alleged baby mom and ex-girlfriend, who appears to be crying because he left her for her friend. Days later they posted a TikTok kissing on each other like Fly Soulja and Kodyiakredd was in the video they made. And no, I don’t know how bro pulled two chicks, what I do know is the Island Boy Rizz is somehow working for him.
The main thing about it all, though, is the fact that Fly Soulja is quite possibly the biggest trolls I have ever seen with my own eyes. And just because I know y’all think I’m playing, I got the receipts to prove this is real spill! Buddy dropped a mixtape in April and seemingly shut down any possibility of him actually being homosexual.
In the clip he shared to, you guessed it—TikTok—Fly Soulja clearly can be heard rapping, “I got the biggest dick I ever seen/But I don’t be looking at no dick.”
Snoop Dogg added to the long list of products he’s selling with a Skechers collaboration. The Doggfather joined forces with Skechers to produce his own collection of slip-ins and sneakers, which dropped on Tuesday (August 1).
“The excellent team at Skechers took my ideas and my flavor and we created this collection for all walks of life,” Snoop Dogg said. “Step yo shoe game up with my style and swag in every pair—with Skechers you’ll be comfortable wherever you go. Wear them with a suit to a wedding or on the court with shorts, you’ll look fly either way because these shoes are for everyone.”
Snoop Dogg’s first collection includes $100 sneakers and $125 slip-ins. The shoes are available to purchase at the Skechers website and retail stores.
Skechers and Snoop Dogg dropped the collection months after he appeared in the brand’s Super Bowl commercial. Skechers president Michael Greenberg said the two were already working on the shoe collection prior to the ad.
Snoop Dogg agreed to a multi-year partnership with Skechers. More designs will be released later this year. The next drop is a limited-edition capsule featuring his NFT character Dr. Bombay, which became the face of his new ice cream brand.
After 13 years of marriage, Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys still know how to make each other laugh and laugh at themselves.
The happy couple shared a pair of videos on social media Monday (July 31), celebrating their 13th anniversary. In one, Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys play a cute couple’s challenge game, revealing what really goes on behind closed doors in their relationship.
In the adorable video, the iconic producer admitted he was the first to profess his love to his wife and is the joker in the relationship. Swizz Beatz also splashes the most cash, hilariously excusing his spending habits with “I’m from the Bronx.”
However, he refused to admit that he takes the longest to get ready, insisting, “I’m the quickest one ever!” Alicia Keys firmly disagreed, and despite their son, Genesis claiming mom is “kinda faster,” Swizz Beatz maintained, “Nobody put their clothes on faster than me!”
One thing they could all agree upon was that mom is the kid’s favorite. “13 years but it feels like 5,” Alicia Keys captioned the video. “There are no amount of words that could describe how grateful we are!!! Our life together is crazy/ fun/ real/ beautiful/ Deep/ unique/ special! One of one!!! I adore you!”
The competitive couple intends to settle their driving dispute on the road. “Set the date for this race,” the “Girl On Fire” songstress added. “We gon see who the better driver is.” Decide who you believe in the video below.
Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys tied the knot on July 31, 2010. They welcomed sons, Egypt in 2010 and Genesis in 2014 also co-parent Beatz’s three children: sons Prince Nasir, 22, and Kasseem Jr., 16, and daughter Nicole, 14.
Eight-year-old Genesis recently made headlines after playing security detail for his mom at her Keys To The Summer Tour stop in Brooklyn on Friday (July 28). Earlier in the evening, the little boy had objected to her pasties and was determined to watch over her at all times.
A grand jury reportedly indicted Donald Trump for attempting to overthrow the 2020 presidential election. Special counsel Jack Smith announced the indictment on Tuesday (August 1).
Trump was charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of/attempt to obstruct an official proceeding and conspiracy against rights. The latest indictment marked the third criminal case against Trump.
“The purpose of the conspiracy was to overturn the legitimate results of the 2020 presidential election by using knowingly false claims of election fraud to obstruct the government function by which those results are collected, counted and certified,” the indictment explained.
The former president is expected to be arraigned in Washington, D.C. on Thursday (August 3). Trump spoke out against the indictment on his Truth Social platform.
“I hear that Deranged Jack Smith, in order to interfere with the Presidential Election of 2024, will be putting out yet another Fake Indictment of your favorite President, me, at 5:00 P.M,” he wrote. “Why didn’t they do this 2.5 years ago? Why did they wait so long? Because they wanted to put it right in the middle of my campaign. Prosecutorial Misconduct!”
Trump’s presidential campaign also complained about the latest indictment in a statement.
“The lawlessness of these persecutions of President Trump and his supporters is reminiscent of Nazi Germany in the 1930s, the former Soviet Union and other authoritarian, dictatorial regimes,” the campaign said. “President Trump has always followed the law and the Constitution with advice from many highly accomplished lawyers.”
Trump was previously indicted for 37 felony counts in a classified information and obstruction of justice case. He additionally faced 34 counts of falsifying business records in a hush-money scheme.
Lil Meech tried to clarify what he was doing in a door camera video, which was cited as alleged proof of him cheating on Summer Walker. The BMF star maintained he was simply helping his cousin with groceries after the clip went viral on Tuesday (August 1).
“Damn, I can’t help my cousin bring the bags in the house?” he asked. “Went to the grocery store, man.”
The door cam video of Lil Meech circulated after Summer Walker seemingly broke up with him on Monday (July 31). The singer mentioned cheating as the reason for the apparent split.
“Tried my best to be Jayda Wayda but I couldn’t,” she wrote. “It was cute though. I wish him the best. Can’t do that cheatin’ stuff.”
Walker also posted a snippet of her interview with Yung Miami on the Caresha Please podcast. The clip featured her venting about men lying even after they get a second chance to clear the air.
Lil Meech was first accused of cheating on Summer Walker in July. A model said she was seeing Lil Meech for several months while he was dating Walker.
The model claimed Lil Meech got her pregnant. He denied even knowing her.
Three of Lizzo’s former dancers have reportedly accused her of being a nightmare boss in a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Tuesday (August 1). The dancers sued the singer, her production company and dance captain, Shirlene Quigley, for creating a hostile work environment and sexual harassment, among other allegations.
Arianna Davis, Noelle Rodriguez and Crystal Williams hired attorney Ron Zambrano to represent them in their case against Lizzo. The trio claimed they were the victims of assault, false imprisonment, racial harassment, religious harassment, disability discrimination and intentional interference with prospective economic advantage.
“The stunning nature of how Lizzo and her management team treated their performers seems to go against everything Lizzo stands for publicly, while privately she weight-shames her dancers and demeans them in ways that are not only illegal but absolutely demoralizing,” Zambrano said in a statement.
Lizzo allegedly weight-shamed Davis and pressured the dancer to touch a nude performer at a strip club in Amsterdam. The lawsuit accused Lizzo of subjecting her dancers to grueling conditions when they re-auditioned for their spots on tour. The dancers weren’t allowed to take a break, which resulted in one of the plaintiffs soiling herself during the re-audition.
The lawsuit claimed Quigley “took every opportunity to proselytize” her Christian beliefs despite objections from the dancers. Quigley was allegedly asked to stop preaching to Rodriguez, whom the dance captain regarded as a “non-believer,” but refused to quit. Quigley allegedly chastised dancers for having premarital sex and publicly discussed Davis’ virginity.
Davis and Williams were fired while Rodriguez resigned from the dance team. Lizzo’s tour manager fired Williams several days after the dancer defended her fellow dancers when Lizzo accused them of drinking before performances. Rodriguez spoke out against Williams’ firing.
According to the lawsuit, Davis was fired for recording a meeting between Lizzo and the dancers. Davis insisted she recorded it to review notes she might’ve missed due to her eye condition. But Lizzo and Quigley allegedly yelled at Davis before firing her over the recording. Rodriguez responded by resigning at the meeting. Lizzo allegedly threatened Rodriguez before leaving.
Davis, Rodriguez and Williams didn’t demand a specific amount of damages in their lawsuit. They sought compensation for unpaid wages, loss of earnings and legal fees.
Farrah Gray an unlikely champion in Hip-Hop. But is because he’s a business mogul, author, speaker, and philanthropist. Like Hip-Hop, Gray defied the odds and emerged as a self-made millionaire by the young age of fourteen. He’s been featured in INC magazine. Billionaire Oprah Winfrey praised him as an “all-star” with “priceless advice.”
Gray has inspired millions worldwide with his inspiring rise from poverty to national and international prominence. As an acclaimed bestselling author, Gray’s books have become essential reading material. His literary works, include “Reallionaire,” “Get Real Get Rich,” “The Truth Shall Make You Rich,” “Comfort is the Enemy of Achievement,” and other works.
As a high achiever, many do not realize that his beginnings were often spent under his father’s wing. Khallid Muhammad is considered a freedom fighter, activist, and “unapologetically Black,” as described by AHH’s Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur. The two talked briefly about Hip-Hop, his father, and more.
AllHipHop: Talk to me about Hip-Hop’s 50th Anniversary but 50 years forward in the future. We’re talking about the future now.
Farrah Gray: Absolutely. Hip-Hop culture has really been the foundation and really transcended beyond what they ever expected. And of course, we have the vultures and the capitalists that have taken it and perverted something that was very pure. So it’s AllHipHop.com and others on the front lines who are preserving the culture. So to see BET hopefully in the hands of our people, because if they don’t treat you right, they won’t teach you right, or, “If they don’t teach you right, they won’t treat you right,” to quote Khallid Muhammad, my father.
AllHipHop: Yeah.
Farrah Gray: I may have messed that one up, Dad, but forgive me, I was close. So therefore, it’s very important to make sure it’s in the hands of the people that will literally not only preserve the culture, but move it 50 years, and I always say beyond 50 years, generations yet unborn.
AllHipHop: Yes, absolutely. Speaking on your father, man, for the longest time, we didn’t make that connection immediately, and he’s someone who was so unapologetically Black. And I mean in the most sturdy way you can imagine. I’m reading the book. I’m still reading it, by the way.
AllHipHop: It’s a fascinating book, by the way, I should add. Talk about being his son.
Farrah Gray: Wow. As I get older, I realize the impact of him being a freedom fighter, and what he meant to people, because to me, he was just dad. So I find myself studying his speeches. Even when reading the biography, I learned things about him.
AllHipHop: Yeah.
Farrah Gray: So I chose a different path. I believe that business is warfare, as the honorable Elijah Muhammad spoke so very frequently about the importance of green power and Black power coming together. With our buying power, we’re spending at an alarming rate, and at the end of the day, we are not… I’ll put it this way, we’re the only race of people that don’t feed ourselves. If you ask us what we ate, we’re going to tell you Chinese food, Italian food, Polish sausage. So we are not feeding ourselves. We have an international stomach.
So to look at entrepreneurship, agriculture… Because where there is no culture, therefore we have no agriculture if we’re not feeding our own. So entrepreneurship was the path that I chose, economic evangelism, and my father always supported that. So to have Khallid Muhammad as a father, who I believe is still with us here spiritually, it’s definitely an honor. So as I learn more about my father’s impact… And many of the speeches, I was right there with him.
But now I’m really like, wow. The wow factor.
AllHipHop: He has a line, something along the lines of saying, “Somebody has to hold the line.”
Farrah Gray: “Somebody has to hold the line, man.”
AllHipHop: That always rings out as being a Black-owned property.
Farrah Gray: Absolutely, and that actual quote came from a man that trained him, Captain Ali Rashid. He would always say, “Man, hold the line.”
AllHipHop: Yeah.
Farrah Gray: So whatever it was, no matter what you went through… My father faced assassination attempts over and over and over and over again. There wasn’t a day where he was not told that there was a bomb threat or that someone wanted to kill him. So check out The Book of Khallid. Also, check out farrahgray.com, and always stay tuned to AllHipHop.com.
Kanye West’s 2020 presidential committee has reportedly taken action against the rapper’s personal lawyer and campaign manager, filing a complaint of “obstruction of justice” with the federal government.
According to reports, the complaint specifically targets West’s personal lawyer and campaign manager. As previously reported, West ran for the president of the United States in the last election and failed miserably.
Last week, an alleged hacking incident occurred on the Federal Election Commission’s (FEC) website, which removed Devin White from his role as treasurer of the campaign. The action took place shortly after it was reported White was concerned about significant “fraud and malfeasance” within Ye’s campaign finances.
In response to this incident, the campaign’s “Statement of Organization,” White and committee lawyer Bruce Fein have jointly lodged a complaint with both the FBI and FEC.
Now, they’re accusing West’s lawyer Bruce Marks and his associates of impeding their internal investigation to find out if there are fraudulent activities (or the potential of fraudulent activities) related to campaign finances.
“They are changing (the FEC treasurer) because they are now the subject of a federal probe, so they are all scurrying away with the life preservers,” White said, nothing his office had “already notified the FBI about the obstruction of justice. “There is no way of covering it up—it was already in the news.”
Fein and White revealed discrepancies in Ye’s campaign finances, warning him about his campaign manager, Milo Yiannopoulos, an alt-right provocateur. They said he was engaging in potential criminal actions and claimed violated the Federal Election Campaign Act by working on the campaign.
Fein and White said West allegedly provided improper receipts for $13.5 million in campaign expenses. West’s lawyers have denied these allegations, suggesting Fein and White are seeking revenge due to unpaid fees.
“Ye categorically denies that he violated federal election law,” Marks said. “Period! It is irresponsible for Mr. White or Mr. Fein to make those allegations. I would note these allegations were made to the media after Ye refused to pay them hundreds of thousands of dollars that they requested. Period.”
He added, “We are going to investigate those allegations, most of which we think are false and to the extent there is any merit in them we will resolve them with the FEC.”
When directly questioned about Yiannopoulos’ immigration status, Marks downplayed his involvement in West’s election campaign. He reportedly danced around the fact they called him a “campaign manager” and submitted consulting bills to the committee that hit over six figures.
Reality TV personality Joseline Hernandez has found herself in legal trouble after allegedly beating the breaks off Big Lex, a former contestant on her show “Joseline’s Cabaret.”
As previously reported, the incident occurred backstage at Floyd Mayweather’s exhibition fight with John Gotti III in June. A video captured Hernandez viciously attacking Big Lex, leading to her arrest.
Florida prosecutors reportedly filed several charges against Hernandez, including felony resisting officers with violence, felony battery on a law enforcement officer, misdemeanor battery, misdemeanor battery causing bodily harm and misdemeanor trespassing. A warrant for her arrest was issued by the court.
According to the arrest report, officers encountered Hernandez in the backstage dressing room at the FLA Live arena. She was leaving the dressing room when she began verbally assaulting the law enforcement officers, who’d instructed her to leave the property. Hernandez’s involvement in the brawl led to severe legal consequences, highlighting the seriousness of the incident.
The report said Hernandez continued to argue with officers, “ignoring all orders to leave.”
“In an attempt to calm down the defendant, Victim (1) [redacted name] shouted to her, ‘Please calm down,'” the report read. “The defendant began to verbally assault the victim (w) before throwing a cell phone at him, which struck him in the head. Officers then took the defendant into custody.”
The “Puerto Rican Princess” resisted arrest aggressively, pushing, pulling, bracing and tensing to avoid getting into the patrol vehicle. She even tried to kick officers and yelled racial slurs. Later, she refused to provide any identification in the patrol car.
Officers said they spoke to a second female victim “who advised that while sitting on the event level of FLA Live Arena the defendant walked up to her, threw a cardboard box at her head, and then began to strike her about her face and head with closed fists.”
A former juror from the YNW Melly murder trial has come forward with explosive allegations, claiming that the jury was manipulated into a mistrial.
The juror, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Local 10 News that the majority of the jury wanted to convict the Florida rapper, whose real name is Jamell Demons, for the 2018 murders of his fellow YNW Collective rappers, Christopher “Juvy” Thomas Jr. and Anthony “Sakchaser” Williams.
The juror alleges that a single woman on the jury, who was determined to acquit Demons, was the cause of the chaos.
“From day one, she had issues with the foreperson selected, at one point crossing her arms and saying she was ‘Done!’ When another juror asked to not shut down and set her feelings aside, she exploded… She was explosive, manipulative, she was rude, she yelled insults at anyone who had a different opinion,” the former juror said.
The mistrial, declared on July 22 by Broward County Circuit Judge John J. Murphy, shocked many, especially given the evidence presented during the trial.
The juror’s allegations paint a picture of a jury room in turmoil, with the woman in question allegedly pulling two other jurors aside on the last day of deliberation, convincing them to change their minds. When questioned about her actions, she reportedly exploded, hurling insults at the man who questioned her.
The juror’s decision to speak up was prompted by reports that Demons’s mother, Jamie Demons-King, claimed the jury was deadlocked at 9-3 in favor of acquittal.
The former juror insists that it was actually the opposite, with nine of the jurors believing Demons was guilty.
YNW Melly, who rose to fame with his single “Murder On My Mind,” was arrested alongside YNW Bortlen in February 2019.
He pleaded not guilty to two charges of first-degree murder the following month and was facing the death penalty.
Despite the mistrial, the case is far from over. According to AllHipHop, Demons’s defense team and prosecutors have agreed to start jury selection for the second trial on October 2.
