Drake & PARTYNEXTDOOR Accused Of Hijacking Freddie Gibbs

Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR are being accused of highjacking portions of the intellectual property for their upcoming collaborative project on the eve of its release.

In a string of tweets Freddie Gibbs shared on Thursday (February 13), he alluded to Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR stealing the idea for the title of their collaborative project, $ome $exy $ongs 4u from his 2022 project $oul $old $eparately. Though it was clear he was bothered, Gibbs appeared to downplay his apparent outrage over the move in the initial tweets he shared.

”Damn they even stole the rabbits too,” Freddie Gibbs wrote, adding, “I’m flattered.”

In a follow up tweet, he shared a trailer for his 2022 album, further trolling Drake and PND, writing “$$$4u.” Additionally, in another tweet, Gibbs wrote “Shout out @souljaboy,” seemingly referencing the “Crank That” hitmaker because previously accused Drake of copying his whole flow in a viral interview with The Breakfast Club.

While there were users who were skeptical of Gibbs’ claims, a number of users also supported him in expressing his belief his creative ideas were ripped off.

“I f### with you Gibbs but nah lol keep up the great rapping tho,” one user wrote in a tweet quoting a separate tweet Drake shared in 2013 which read, “$$$…the green persuader.”

“This apart of his playbook,” another user wrote in a reply to Gibbs tweet which featured a photo of the two rappers together.

Believe it or not, Gibbs isn’t the only artist Drake and PND are being accused of jacking swag from for this project. A Twitter Hip-Hop fan page has also began floating around the theory that the pair of OVO artists also stole the idea for the cover art for their project from a smaller act who also hails from Canada.

Apparently, John River is also an artist from Mississauga, which is PND’s hometown. According to a tweet from the platform, John River has a lead that he conducted multiple meetings with PND and other OVO members to discuss the creative process for his music video “Hope City II.” In particular, the conversations were apparently about the Marilyn Monroe Towers in Mississauga, which were featured in both John Rivers, music video and the cover artwork for Drake and PND’s album.

Check out the tweet below to see the references social media users allege link Drake and PND to the Mississauga artist.

50 Cent’s Prediction Comes True—Big Meech’s “Welcome Home” Concert Axed

50 Cent is denying he has anything to do with the cancelation of the Big Meech “Welcome Back” Legacy Concert that was supposed to take place in Miami this month.

On Thursday (February 13), the Power exec hopped on Instagram and shared a flyer for the show that read: “Big Meech’s ‘Welcome Back’ Concert in Miami canceled due to unforeseen circumstances.” No other details were provided.

50 Cent wrote in the caption, “I had nothing to with this, please stop calling my phone. I sincerely hope you have a nice day today Happy Valentine’s Day. I’m stronger then you think I am.”

Per the flyer, the show—scheduled to take place February 13 at the Amerant Bank Arena—featured Lil Baby, Rick Ross, 21 Savage, Sexyy Red, Kodak Black, 42 Dugg, EST Gee and Moneybagg Yo, among others.

Tensions arose between 50 Cent and Big Meech after the latter teamed up with 50 Cent’s longtime nemesis Rick Ross in a video promoting the concert. The Get Rich or Die Tryin’ rapper implied Big Meech was a snitch, which soon erupted into a contentious back-and-forth.

On Monday (February 10), 50 Cent took to Instagram to repost Meech’s statement, denying that he cooperated with authorities. 50 Cent snapped back, “I’m not trying to let nobody trick me off the streets. You tricked Cuff off the street. You told Tammy to tell, b####.”

50 Cent was referring to St. Louis drug lord Dionne “Cuffy” Gatling, who accused Big Meech of indirectly cooperating with authorities through BMF associate Tammy Cowins.

Cuffy claims Cowins, a producer on Fif’s BMF series, acted as a government informant and played a key role in facilitating Meech’s alleged cooperation, ultimately leading to his prison sentence.  50 Cent continued, taunting Big Meech over the now-canceled concert.

“Y’all gone be disappointed when Lil Baby don’t show up?” he added, suggesting the Atlanta rapper and others will be a no-show at the gig. “He can’t even go. He on house arrest.”

But, according to 50 Cent, it was canceled without any interjection from him.

Scarlett Johansson Issues Furious Response To AI Video Linking Her To Kanye West

Scarlett Johansson is speaking out against artificial intelligence after a manipulated video surfaced online showing her and other Jewish celebrities condemning Kanye West.

The deepfake clip, which rapidly gained attention, featured an AI-generated version of Johansson wearing a T-shirt with a raised middle finger and a Star of David, with Kanye West’s name printed below the hand.

The video, which falsely portrays Johansson and other high-profile figures taking a stand against the rapper, also includes AI-generated versions of Mila Kunis, Jack Black, Mark Zuckerberg, Lenny Kravitz, Drake, Steven Spielberg, and Jerry Seinfeld.

The clip concludes with an AI-created Adam Sandler flipping off the camera as the traditional Jewish song Hava Nagila plays in the background.

Johansson addressed the video in a statement emphasizing the dangers of artificial intelligence being misused to spread misinformation.

“It has been brought to my attention by family members and friends, that an A.I.-generated video featuring my likeness, in response to an antisemitic view, has been circulating online and gaining traction,” the Black Widow star wrote.

“I am a Jewish woman who has no tolerance for antisemitism or hate speech of any kind,” she continued. “But I also firmly believe that the potential for hate speech multiplied by A.I. is a far greater threat than any one person who takes accountability for it.”

Johansson concluded her statement by warning against normalizing the use of AI to manipulate reality.

“We must call out the misuse of A.I., no matter its messaging, or we risk losing a hold on reality,” she stated.

The controversy erupted in the wake of West, also known as Ye, selling a T-shirt featuring a s####### on his Yeezy web store.

The rapper also posted a series of antisemitic remarks on X over the weekend, even going so far as to refer to himself as a Nazi.

His website and social media account were promptly deactivated following the backlash but all of his platforms have been reactivated.

Kanye West’s Yeezy Supporters Outraged Over Missing Merch—Out Themselves At Same Time

Kanye West announced Yeezy stores are “coming soon” on his recently restored website, but some of his fans aren’t really concerned about that now. Instead, many of them have flocked to the Yeezy Instagram account to vent about their missing orders.

On Thursday (February 13), the Yeezy Supply Instagram shared the same scribbled out message on West’s website: “Yeezy Stores Coming Soon.” Comments quickly started pouring in and many of them had to do with the failed deliveries.

“What will happen to all my orders that were pending?” one person asked, while another said, “Dude just send the merch we purchased. you’re doing too much.” Other remarks included, “Waiting for an order, I just want my orders, where’s my $600 worth of orders” and “Any one who ever order from ye website will get noting he trick everyone with that 20.00 dollar trash he was selling.”

A post shared by YEEZY SUPPLY (@yeezysupplyofficial)

Some of the people commenting are likely the same people who purchased the s####### t-shirt he was selling that temporarily got his website shut down. For the uninitiated, Kanye West ran an $8 million ad during the Super Bowl on Sunday (February 9) that advertised “Yeezy.com.”

Initially when someone went to the website, it had a variety of t-shirts, hoodies and other garments to choose from, but those soon disappeared. In their place, a sole item remained: a white t-shirt with a black s####### emblazoned on the front. The shirts were listed for $20. According to reports, he sold more than 100,000 of them before Shopify shut down the website.

The stunt followed days of West spewing antisemitic and other hateful messages across his Twitter (X) platform, prompting an open letter from ex-Def Jam Recordings CEO Lyor Cohen. Cohen, who is Jewish, pleaded with West to use his power for good. But, in true Kanye West fashion, Cohen was met with more vitriol from the former Def Jam artist.

On Thursday morning, West shared a screenshot of the letter and seemed to focus on Cohen calling him “Kanye West” instead of Ye.

“You and your whole industry have promoted and got paid off songs where black people glorify killing each other But my t shirt is the worst thing ever,” he began. “All of y’all are like girls who don’t take accountability It’s a double standard. Then y’all threaten and extort people around me. People are so used to your mob.

“And to think When Tory Burch came to the door with a towel on I didn’t smash. ‘Cause I looked at you as a friend. You start by apologizing and taking accountability for the massive promotion of black death that you’ve got paid off of for years. Also you too broke to speak to me in the first place. And you know what Irv [Gotti] said to you before he passed and since he not here. I’ll say it Suuuuck Myyyy Diiiick.”

It’s worth noting Cohen is the global head of YouTube.

Stormzy Accused Of Selling Out Amid New McDonald’s Partnership

Stormzy is coming under fire from fans accusing him of “selling out” by partnering with McDonald’s, as a grassroots boycott grows over the fast-food giant’s perceived support of Israel.

Adding fuel to the fire, fans of the British rap icon allege he also deleted a pro-Palestine post ahead of the collaboration.

Earlier this week, McDonald’s launched “The Stormzy Meal,” temporarily rebranding their store in his hometown of Croydon to “Big Mike’s” in honor of the rapper whose real name is Michael.

Stormzy faced intense backlash after unveiling his McDonald’s meal on Instagram.

A post shared by STORMZY (@stormzy)

The comment section was flooded with cries of “Free Palestine” and fans branding him a “sell out.”

McDonald’s has faced ongoing boycotts from pro-Palestine activists since its Israeli franchise provided thousands of free meals to Israeli forces following Hamas’ attack on October 7.

In January 2024, the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement called for an “escalating global boycott” of McDonald’s, citing its ties to the Israeli franchisee and the Malaysian branch’s actions against pro-Palestinian activists.

Although McDonald’s announced in April that it would buy back its Israeli restaurants following a boycott-driven sales decline, many consumers remain committed to the boycott.

Stormzy took a stance on the conflict back in October 2023, choosing neither side but aligning himself with the people of Palestine.

“Free Palestine,” he wrote on Instagram. “In the future, if there is ever a clear injustice in the world, no matter how big or small, 100 times out of 100 I will be on the side of the oppressed. Unequivocally. As I always have been. Social media is a brilliant way to stand up for what is right, there are also a whole load of other ways to do this.”

Azealia Banks’ Scathing Super Bowl Rant Gets Response From TDE’s Punch

Azealia Banks got herself involved in a fairly one-sided, Twitter beef with one of the most notable executives at the West Coast record label Top Dog Entertainment (TDE).

The entire situation began on Thursday (February 13), when Banks decided to respond to a tweet TDE President Punch shared remarking on the ongoing discourse surrounding Kendrick Lamar’s performance during the halftime show at Super Bowl LIX. Punch’s remarks follow a wave of criticism from fans, celebrities and media personalities, such as streamer Kai Cenat, which allege Kendrick’s performance wasn’t received well.

A post shared by AllHipHop (@allhiphopcom)

Punch’s tweet addressed the apparent disconnect between the goals of the culture and desires of fans that he feels Kendrick’s performance exposed.

”Seeing all of the commentary surrounding the Super Bowl performance it’s showing that we lost sight of what we always fought for… to be who WE ARE as artist of Hip-Hop culture,” Punch wrote. “Since when did we want to fit in with the mainstream?? lol. Sure we want mainstream platforms, but only to do US. Authentically us. That’s what always made Hip-Hop so appealing.”

Banks appeared to find Punch’s tweet to be disingenuous and teed off on him in a quoted reply to his statement.

“You guys are actually super pathetic,” Azealia Banks wrote in the tweet. “And quite possibly the most HERB music collective hip-hop has seen. You guys are all super uncharismatic misfits. Regardless of how good you guys are at choosing cows at the Industry songwriting cattle corral.”

Banks continued, “(Because you guys are great at finding excellent songwriters/producers for all of the f###### herb dork ass absolute real life nobodies dressed up as ‘artists’ on TDE) ….. this whole debacle demonstrated how you all are such like, non – stars and completely desperate impostors. You either are or your not famous. And no matter what you lot do, you’ll always be f###### dweebs.”

Punch seemingly found Banks rant to be hilarious and reposted her response in an Instagram Story in which he mocked and trolled her as if she were a fan.

“Appreciate the love she thinks we’re great,” Punch wrote in the IG Story.

But Banks didn’t stop there and proceeded to hurl, scathing and offensive insult at punch and TDE as a whole in a string of subsequent tweets.

“F###### corn ball hoe ass N####‘s gossiping and creeping, shaking ass for Grammys in tight pants lmaooo. Ur f###### cooked,” she wrote in one tweet before following up in another, writing, “You always on here, trying to sound deep about the s### y’all do… not saying others don’t… but TDE is not fly. Like at all.”

Banks proceeded to call Punch a “f###### monkey” while dragging actress Amber Heard into the mix as she began alluding to him virtually sexually assaulting her.

Prior to her latest Twitter assault on Punch, Banks lashed out at Doechii, calling her as a “DEI hire” and accusing the Tampa native of snorting cocaine.

See the images below for additional tweets a part of Banks’ rant.

Boosie Badazz Could Be Heading For Legal Showdown With Two Bay Area Club Promoters Over Deposits

Boosie Badazz is usually the one telling his fans to watch out for scammers who try to take money on behalf of the rapper, but now he is being accused of some shady business himself!

https://youtu.be/XUuYt7lSlMg

Boosie might be heading to court again after he supposedly accepted deposits from two Bay Area venues in 2024—Yolo and Pure in San Jose—as well as promoter Bigdavepresent and rapper Budda Mack, but allegedly failed to honor his commitments.

Both clubs claim to have wired the rapper’s money via bank transfers to secure Boosie’s performance, but despite numerous attempts to resolve the issue, no refund has been made and they are fuming and ready to take action.

The clubs and promoters say they have substantial evidence, including wire transfer confirmations, payment records and Instagram DMs in which Boosie or his team allegedly promised to return the money, but nothing has materialized.

In one message, Boosie Badazz is quoted as saying he was “going to the bank to pay the money back” yet no payment was ever sent.

The frustrated parties have suggested they may release all receipts, wire transfer details and conversations with Boosie and his team to shed light on the situation if it remains unresolved. They are calling for accountability and warning others in the industry to be vigilant.

Boosie seems like he has his business together, and we doubt he needs the money, so hopefully everyone is made whole before the whole damn issue explodes into a nasty court battle!

Kanye West Reboots Yeezy Site After Shopify Ban Over Hate Symbol

Kanye West revived his Yeezy.com website Thursday (February 13) with a message that signals his next move, just days after e-commerce giant Shopify pulled the plug on his online store.

The homepage now features graffiti-style text reading “Yeezy stores coming soon,” with the letters “I” and “N” in “coming soon” appearing to be shaped to resemble a s#######.

The rapper, embroiled in controversy over antisemitic remarks, made headlines during Super Bowl LVIX when he aired a self-filmed 30-second commercial urging viewers to visit Yeezy.com.

At the time, the website sold an array of unbranded clothing, but the spotlight quickly turned to a single $20 white T-shirt bearing a black s#######.

The ad, recorded on an iPhone, fueled widespread criticism, leading Shopify to disable the store entirely, preventing further sales of the offensive shirt. Despite the backlash, Kanye West has doubled down by resurfacing online with his rebranded website.

The controversy is the latest chapter in a series of highly publicized incidents involving the Grammy winner, who has frequently used social media as a platform for inflammatory rhetoric.

Before the Super Bowl, he took to social media to express admiration for Adolf Hitler, declaring his “love” for the Nazi leader while referring to himself as a Nazi. As brands continue to distance themselves from him, West appears undeterred.

His latest website revamp hints at physical Yeezy stores, an idea he initially explored in 2016 under a partnership with Adidas.

That collaboration dissolved in October 2022 when the sportswear giant cut ties with West following his outbursts.

Kanye West has yet to comment on Shopify’s decision to remove his online store, but his actions suggest he’s pushing forward with or without the backing of major platforms.

Ben Crump Touts Multi-Million Dollar Settlement In Sonya Massey Shooting Case

The massive settlement linked to the case of the 2024 officer-involved shooting death of Sonya Massey has been finalized.

According to a report from NBC News, officials in Sangamon County, Illinois, have reached a $10 million settlement with the family of the late 36-year-old Black woman who was fatally shot in her home after calling the police for help. The agreement was unanimously approved by the Sangamon County Board last Tuesday. Civil rights attorney Ben Crump, representing Massey’s family, addressed the media on what would have been her 37th birthday.

“We want civil accountability, criminal culpability and we want legislative changes,” Ben Crump said. “We want the laws to prevent something like this from happening again.”

Crump also issued a call to action for police reform in an Instagram post he shared about the news of the settlement.

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Ben Crump (@attorneycrump)

Attorney Antonio Romanucci, who is also representing the family, called the settlement historic.

“It’s our understanding that this, by far, is the largest settlement reached in Sangamon County of any kind, let alone a civil rights case such as this one,” Romanucci said.

Some have questioned if the $10 million settlement is enough, but Romanucci defended the amount, pointing out that it equaled half of the sheriff’s office’s annual budget.

“This settlement is magnanimous and it’s very relevant and it’s very significant because, as Ben knows, we’re not in Minneapolis, we’re not in Memphis, we’re not in Louisville,” he said before adding, “We’re in Sangamon County.”

According to county administrator Brian McFadden, this is the largest settlement in the county’s history. The funds will come from a settlement fund and other county reserves. Romanucci noted that the money would go to Massey’s two children, with a court deciding how attorneys would be compensated.

Massey’s death happened after she called 911 on July 6 to report a suspected prowler outside her home. Then-Sangamon County Sheriff’s Deputy Sean Grayson and another deputy arrived at the scene, according to body-camera footage. Grayson, who is white, pointed out a pot of boiling water on the stove. As Massey handled the pot, she twice said, “I rebuke you in the name of Jesus.” Grayson ordered her to drop the pot and, as she ducked, he fired three shots, one of which struck her beneath her left eye.

Grayson later claimed he feared “great bodily harm” or death because of what Massey had said. Records obtained by NBC News show he had worked for six different law enforcement agencies in central Illinois over a four year span. Just weeks after Massey’s death, he was fired and charged with first-degree murder, aggravated battery with a firearm and official misconduct. He has pleaded not guilty and remains in jail.

Massey’s father, James Wilburn, believes that Sangamon County and the agencies that previously employed Grayson share responsibility for his daughter’s death. “I think he should have never been hired,” he said.

The case led to the early retirement of Sangamon County Sheriff Jack Campbell, who had hired Grayson despite his documented performance issues. The situation also resulted in a memorandum of agreement between the U.S. Justice Department and the sheriff’s office, which introduced reforms including better training, policy updates and improved use-of-force data reporting.

Will Trump Try To Make Kendrick Lamar “Pay” For Super Bowl Show?

Well, guys, everything has consequences and repercussions, but I think we’re ready for it. JAY-Z receives a lot of hatred simply because he’s JAY-Z. But let’s take a moment to consider how his impact flows into the things that we love and respect. Take the Super Bowl, for example. The halftime show was one for the ages. A lot of people hated it, but I’m getting the impression that even more people loved it. And “hate” is relative.

Here’s the thing: we are in an era where Donald Trump and his cronies are rolling back just about every advance that people of color—specifically Black people—have made. On top of that, they are creating a hostile environment for us to live in. We are in America, supposedly the “United States,” but it feels more like an oppressive regime.

I don’t want to get too deep into this, but let’s be clear: some people are very unhappy that Black artists are performing at the Super Bowl halftime show. Last time I checked, y’all liked when we performed, danced and entertained you. Now it’s a problem?

The real issue isn’t about entertainment—it’s about control. They don’t mind when we’re shucking and jiving, playing the role they want us to play. But when there’s commentary, when there’s intellectual discourse attached to the performance, suddenly it’s an issue. That’s where the discomfort sets in.

But guess what? That day is over. Kendrick Lamar’s performance was a powerful moment of cultural resistance. In times of hostility, we have many ways to fight back—and art is one of our most enduring weapons.

Now, here’s the rumor: they’re already talking about payback for Kendrick’s performance. And I wouldn’t be surprised if JAY-Z faces repercussions too, simply because he played a role in making it happen. We’ve already seen attempts to attach him to the allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs. That’s how the playbook works. First, they try to discredit you. Then they slowly pick you apart.

I’m going to say a prayer for these guys because they’re doing great work, and they shouldn’t be persecuted for creating art. Every single halftime show has its critics. Only a few were universally praised.

For the record, they quickly hated MJ too. Now, let’s talk about the so-called “solution.” The rumor is that they want Barry Manilow to headline next year’s halftime show. First off, Barry Manilow is over 80 years old. Second, Black folks love Barry Manilow, so that’s not even the flex they think it is. And third, Barry Manilow is openly gay, which is at odds with much of the MAGA crowd’s ideology.

Here is Barry back in 1984 when he did the National Anthem at the halftime show of the big game!

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Barry Manilow (@barrymanilowofficial)

And let me be clear: nobody ever said the Super Bowl halftime show should only feature rap or R&B. All genres are welcome. The problem is, some people just can’t compete on this level. If you want to take the stage, get your weight up. Because right now, Post Malone is tired and Taylor Swift is still crying that her man lost to the Philly Eagles.

EXCLUSIVE: Game Fights To Save Mansion, But Priscilla Rainey Gets Aggressive With Renewed Push For Sale

Rap star Game is still locked in battle with former “She’s Got Game” contestant Priscilla Rainey in a high-stakes fight to keep his lavish Calabasas mansion from hitting the auction block.

Rainey, his longtime legal foe, is making power moves to seize and sell the rapper’s home to finally collect on a court judgment that has been looming over him for years.

Rainey, who won a $7.1 million judgment against Game in 2016 over a sexual battery lawsuit, is done playing games—she wants her money.

After years of dodging payments, she took her battle to the next level by pushing for the forced sale of his estate.

In the latest court filings, Rainley claims Game has been using shell companies and shady financial maneuvers with his manager, Wack100, to keep his assets out of reach.

“[Game] and his co-conspirators, who have already been found to have

acted with an intent to hinder, delay and defraud [Rainey] with respect to this Property, will take whatever position is needed to serve their purposes at any given time. [Game’s] self-serving declaration that he has continually resided at the Property should be viewed with suspicion. At best, [Game} is a monthly tenant, and is not entitled to claim the homestead exemption,” Priscilla Rainey’s lawyer, Janelle M. Dease, said.

Rainey’s legal team says they have a strategy to satisfy her judgment. According to Rainey, Game doesn’t technically own the house—it’s held under JTT Holdings, an LLC owned 100% by Wack100.

But Rainey’s lawyers argue that this is just a smoke-and-mirrors trick to keep her from collecting. A previous court ruling even called JTT Holdings Game’s “alter ego,” meaning they can go after anything tied to it.

Now, they’re asking the judge to greenlight the sale. But Game is putting up a vicious fight.

His lawyers claim he does have rights to the home and should qualify for a “homestead exemption” – meaning he’s lived there continuously, making it legally protected from full seizure.

Rainey calls that argument nonsense, saying Game has failed to prove any actual claim to the property since it’s in the name of a company controlled by Wack100.

“In the event that [Game] seeks to claim an equitable interest in the

Property under JTT Holdings, LLC, a business entity is not entitled to claim a homestead exemption,” Dease explained.

A court hearing is coming and if Rainey gets her way, Game could be waving goodbye to his multi-million dollar home.

So far, Rainey has already seized Game’s label LA Prolific, ownership of his album Born 2 Rap and publishing royalties, resulting in over $500,000 in revenue being diverted to satisfy the judgment.

Soulja Boy Threatens To Desecrate Marlon Wayans’ Mother’s Grave In Vile Rant

Soulja Boy fans are convinced the rapper is on hard drugs after he threatened to shoot followers and vowed to desecrate Marlon Wayans’ late mother’s grave in an epic crash out Wednesday morning (February 12).

The “Crank That” rapper is ramping up his feud with the multi hyphenate comedian. The tension began over Wayans remarks about Soulja’s performance at The Crypto Ball held in honor of Donald Trump.

It seems Wayans may have struck a nerve, as after days of back-and-forth—plus dropping a diss track on the comedian—Soulja Boy took things even further. He unleashed a barrage of vile tweets, threatening Wayans, mocking his transgender child and using slurs against them, and firing back at anyone who disagreed by threatening to shoot them.

Disturbingly, Soulja Boy also targeted Marlon Wayans’ mother, threatening to desecrate her grave.

After challenging Wayans to a fight and wishing death upon him, Big Draco turned his attention to the Wayans family matriarch.

“I’ll p### on yo mama grave,” he wrote, tagging Wayans. “I’ll dig ur mom up and kill that b#### again.”

Appalled social media users reacted with disgust to Soulja Boy’s posts, especially his comments about Marlon Wayans’ mother.

Despite the backlash, he doubled down. Soulja even turned on his own fans and went as far as threatening to shoot people.

He told one to “drop that [location],” urging them to stop being “scary for we come and shoot that house up.”

He told another critic, “I’ll shoot u in yo face.”

Soulja Boy then blocked the fans and deleted the worst of his tweets, including his remarks about Marlon Wayans’ mother.

“God is good,” he wrote after concluding his shocking tirade. “The devil working hard today.”

Rihanna Brings Kid To A$AP Rocky Closing Arguments, Jurors Deliberate Tomorrow

A$AP Rocky’s high-stakes felony assault trial moved into its final moments Thursday (February 13) as prosecutors delivered their closing arguments, setting the stage for a jury to determine whether the rapper used a real gun or fired blanks during a 2021 altercation in Hollywood.

A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, faces two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm stemming from accusations that he fired two real bullets at his former friend A$AP Relli, born Terell Ephron.

Defense attorneys maintain Rocky used a prop gun that only discharged blanks. Los Angeles Assistant District Attorney Paul Bradley Przelomiec urged jurors to focus on one crucial question.

“When I stood up here in opening statements, I started by telling you this case was really an easy case, not a complicated case, a very simple case. And as I stand up here now, I want to reiterate this is not a difficult case. The question for you to answer in this case boils down to really just one question… and that is, did Mr. Mayers, did he use a real gun, or did he use a fake gun?” Przelomiec told jurors.

The jury, which is expected to begin deliberations by Friday afternoon, will weigh the credibility of both accounts. Mayers could face up to 24 years in prison if convicted on both counts.

Throughout the trial, prosecutors painted the confrontation as a deliberate act of violence committed by Rocky, while the defense sought to discredit Relli’s claims, arguing he had financial motives behind his accusations.

Przelomiec addressed the potential skepticism directly, refuting any suggestion that Relli’s character or social media presence should factor into the decision.

“Now I’m sure that Mr. Tacopina [A$AP Rocky’s lawyer], when he comes up here, he’s going to stand up here, he’s going to talk about [A$AP Relli] a lot, and he’s going to talk to you about how did [A$AP Relli] earn his income. Who’s [A$AP Relli’s] girlfriend? Did [A$AP Relli] tell people he was a millionaire? Or what kind of lifestyle did [A$AP Relli] lead people to believe he had on Instagram? None of that matters. None of that matters. None of that relates to the singular question that on November 6, 2021, in Hollywood, did the defendant have a real gun? Did he have a fake gun?”

Rocky, who has remained silent throughout the trial, declined to take the stand in his own defense. Meanwhile, Judge David Herriford instructed jurors that they may consider self-defense as a possible motive when rendering their verdict.

The courtroom atmosphere grew even more charged during the closing arguments with the presence of global superstar Rihanna, alongside one of her children and Rocky’s mom.

The Grammy-winning singer, who has been in a relationship with Rocky since 2020, has been a steadfast supporter throughout the proceedings.

Irv Gotti’s Family Squashes Plans For Public Memorial

Irv Gotti’s family has provided an update on the impending services for the late Murder Inc. co-founder. Gotti died on February 5 at the age of 54, days after suffering a massive stroke.

Sources originally told AllHipHop that a funeral would be held at Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral in Jamaica, Queens, the borough where Gotti launched his career as DJ Irv.

But on Wednesday (February 11), the family told his one million Instagram followers that previous plans for a public service had been scratched.

“Please be advised that the funeral services for Irving ‘Irv Gotti’ Lorenzo will not take place on Tuesday February 18th. The Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral could have accommodated up to 2,500 people in its main sanctuary. Given Gotti’s immense impact on the music industry, his funeral was expected to draw thousands of people. After all, he was instrumental in launching the fruitful careers of Ja Rule, Ashanti, JAY-Z and more.

Ashanti, who had a complicated relationship with Gotti, expressed her shock on Instagram shortly after his death.

“I can’t believe things ended like this… and it makes me so sad,” she wrote. “We weren’t on the best terms the past few years but as I’ve always said, through our ups and downs I will forever be grateful for everything that you’ve done for me. We made history and that will remain infinite.. I’ve always respected your musical genius and ability to push me to be my best.. All the greatness and positive things that came, far outweigh the dark and negative times. I have always prayed for you to find peace. Sending love and prayers to the entire family.”

Rising R&B Trio CitiLimitz Makes Waves with Double Single Release

CitiLimitz is coming your way.

In the ever-evolving landscape of R&B, a fresh voice is emerging that bridges the gap between classic soul and contemporary sound. Meet CitiLimitz, the dynamic trio from Chattanooga, Tennessee, who are quickly becoming one of music’s most compelling new acts.

The group, consisting of twins Marion and A.T., alongside their cousin Dre, have two new singles out now: “The Most” and “If They Only Knew.” These tracks, produced by Grammy Award-winning industry veteran Troy Taylor—known for his work with legends like Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, and Boyz II Men—showcase the group’s distinctive blend of traditional soul sensibilities and modern Gen-Z R&B flair.

“We grew up in the church, where our grandfather was a preacher,” says Marion, reflecting on the group’s musical foundation. “That gospel influence, combined with the classic soul our father introduced us to, really shaped our sound.”

The trio’s journey to prominence began with a viral moment on The Ellen Show in 2019, where their stunning acapella performance caught the attention of industry heavyweights. This appearance led to a production deal with Sound of Young America and an Indie Distro contract with Press Play Records.

Fresh off their successful run on Trevor Jackson’s “It’s Complicated” Tour, where they performed in ten cities, CitiLimitz has been steadily building momentum. Their March 2024 single “Wherever You Like” has been climbing the charts, creating anticipation for their upcoming debut EP, expected later this year.

Under the guidance of an impressive management team—including industry veterans Kevin Wales, Max Gousse, and Monica Payne—the group has collaborated with some of music’s most respected producers. Grammy-winners Tricky Stewart and Hitmaka have joined Troy Taylor in helping craft the group’s signature sound.

The new singles are out via TRC/Press Play Records/Vydia, will be available across all major streaming and download platforms. For Citi Limitz, these releases represent more than just new music—they’re a statement about the future of R&B.

“What makes CitiLimitz special is their ability to honor the traditions of R&B while pushing the genre forward,” notes their manager Kevin Wales. “They’re not just making music; they’re creating a bridge between generations.”

As they continue to captivate audiences with their harmonious blend of old and new, CitiLimitz stands poised to redefine R&B for a new generation. Their upcoming releases promise to further cement their position as one of the most exciting emerging acts in contemporary music.

Ty Dolla $ign Distances Himself From Ye’s Hate Speech

Ty Dolla $ign distanced himself from Ye’s inflammatory remarks after the rapper ignited outrage with a string of antisemitic and racist posts on X and an attempt to sell s#######-branded merchandise.

“I do not condone ANY form of hate speech towards ANYBODY,” Ty Dolla $ign posted on his Instagram Stories.

Though he didn’t mention Ye by name, the statement arrived as backlash mounted against the controversial artist, whose latest online activity once again thrust him into public condemnation.

The Hip-Hop duo, known collectively as ¥$, unveiled their partnership in October 2023 and released two albums together last year, Vultures 1 and Vultures 2.

Their creative synergy had been building for nearly a decade, with their first collaboration appearing on Ye’s The Life of Pablo in 2016. However, in the wake of Ye’s four-day tirade on X—formerly Twitter—Ty Dolla $ign appeared to draw a line.

Ye’s incendiary posts, which included antisemitic content, prompted platform moderators to temporarily disable his account. While his profile has since been restored, it now carries a content warning alerting visitors to “potentially sensitive content.”

Most of the offending posts have been scrubbed from his page.

The fallout didn’t stop there. E-commerce giant Shopify swiftly pulled the plug on Ye’s Yeezy web store after he attempted to sell T-shirts emblazoned with a s#######.

As of now, the site remains inactive. Ty Dolla $ign isn’t the only public figure calling out Ye’s recent actions.

Celebrities including Isla Fisher, David Schwimmer, and Charlie Puth have all taken to social media to denounce his rhetoric, joining a chorus of voices demanding accountability.

Ye’s increasingly volatile online presence has triggered both industry and public scrutiny, threatening his already frayed reputation.

As for Ty Dolla $ign, his statement suggests a conscious effort to detach himself from the growing turmoil surrounding his collaborator.

Stephen A. Smith Refuses To Apologize To Serena Williams Amid Intense Backlash Over Super Bowl Remarks

Stephen A. Smith is doubling down on his criticism of Serena Williams’ Super Bowl appearance, refusing to apologize despite the backlash over his remarks.

The veteran sportscaster caused an uproar over his reaction to the tennis superstar crip walking during Kendrick Lamar’s Halftime Show.

He addressed the criticism on the “Stephen A. Smith Show” Wednesday night (February 12). Although he acknowledged people were “agitated” by his remarks, Smith refused to apologize.

“News flash ladies and gentlemen,” he began. “First of all, I was playing around, it was a lot of fun. Secondly I didn’t utter a disrespectful word towards Serena Williams, so I don’t know where the whole  Serena protection protocol kicks in.”

He continued, insisting, “It was more of a gender issue,” and was simply expressing the sentiments of “a lot of” men.

“What I expressed is exactly what I meant,” he asserted. “I’m not apologizing for it. I’m not condoning it either.”

According to Smith, some men feel insecure “when we see energy expressed in the direction of another dude,” even if it is  “vitriol” or “get back.”

Serena Williams Husband Hits Back At Critics

He also referenced Williams’ husband, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian’s statement explaining the significance of her performance.

“Some of y’all have no idea how criticized Serena was for this same dance at Wimbledon 13 years ago and it shows,” Ohanian tweeted. “This is bigger than the music.”

Smith continued, “Nobody was insulting Serena Williams. I’m simply saying from the male perspective because I thought the males would pick up on it.”

Check out the video below. Stephen A. Smith addresses his comments about Serena Williams around the 2:50 minute mark.

Williams jokingly contrasted her Super Bowl performance and the 2012 controversy in a video after the Super Bowl.

“Man I did not Crip Walk like that at Wimbledon,” she said, laughing. “I would’ve been fined!”

The sporting legend also revealed Kendrick Lamar was inspired by her crip walk at the 2024 Olympics.

“End of story,” she said, shutting down her critics.

Kanye West Tells Lyor Cohen “Suck My D###” Following Exec’s Open Letter

Kanye West is responding to former Def Jam Recordings CEO Lyor Cohen with a scathing rant, demanding he apologize for profiting from the “massive promotion of black death.”

Earlier this week, Cohen expressed his disappointment in an open letter to his former artist following his recent slew of antisemitic, sexist and other hateful remarks

West fired back in a scathing Instagram post Thursday morning (February 13). He shared a screenshot of the letter, highlighting Lyor Cohen addressing him as “Kanye West” and not “Ye,” and so referred to the music exec as “LEE OR.”

“You and your whole industry have promoted and got paid off songs where black people glorify killing each other But my t shirt is the worst thing ever,” He began. “All of yall are like girls who don’t take accountability It’s a double standard.”

West continued, “Then yall threaten and extort people around me,” adding “People are so used to your mob.”

Kanye West Claims Lyor Cohen’s Ex Tried To Hit On Him

The divisive rapper then turned his attention to Cohen’s ex, designer Tory Burch, implying she tried to hit on him.

“And to think When Tory Burch came to the door with a towel on I didn’t smash,” he claimed. “’Cause I looked at you as a friend.”

He then issued a demand to Cohen before signing off with a few personal attacks and name-dropping the late Irv Gotti.

“You start by apologizing and taking accountability for the massive promotion of black death that you’ve got paid off of for years,” he said. “Also you too broke to speak to me in the first place. And you know what Irv said to you before he passed and since he not here. I’ll say it Suuuuck Myyyy Diiiick.”

His confrontational statement did not directly address the concerns raised in Cohen’s letter about antisemitism and the use of Nazi symbols.

Among the precious family photos was one with Fat Joe’s father and the rapper’s firstborn son, Little Joey.

Fat Joe previously revealed his parent’s invaluable role in helping him raise Little Joey, who has Down syndrome and autism.

During a recent appearance on “Club Shay Shay” podcast, Fat Joe said that his son’s mother “never visited [Joey] again,” after learning of his diagnosis.

“His mother was like ‘Yo, I can’t do this,” he told Shannon Sharpe. “I’m going to have to give him up for adoption.”

However, Fat Joe revealed his mother refused to let her grandchild so he raised Little Joey with the support of his parents.

“We raised him,” he added. “I never seen his mother again.”

While he says Little Joey’s mother “abandoned” the infant, he refused to do the same.

“A father’s got to be a father,” Fat Joe added. “I don’t know how to be a fake father. So I got to take care of my kids regardless and do everything I can for them. I don’t know how to give up on my kids. I don’t know how to not love on my kids. That’s impossible.”
