See Ashanti’s Post That Left Jaws Dropped And The Net In Flames

Ashanti became a trending topic on Twitter without much effort.

Social media users marveled over the singer after she posted a bikini-clad video on her Instagram Stories. The footage featured Ashanti riding a quadski into the ocean.

“This what we doing – it’s the Amphibian,” she said in the clip. “We hit the sand, we hit the water, we come back to the sand. All in one. We don’t need just the regular jet skis. It’s the Amphibian!”

Ashanti’s beauty has become a frequent point of discussion online. Fans often gush about her looks when she shares a new picture or clip of herself on social media. The 42-year-old artist spoke about her willingness to show off her body in a recent interview with Byrdie.

“As you evolve and age, you become more comfortable in your skin,” Ashanti explained. “I might put on a bikini a little more often now than when I first came out. A lot of the confidence comes from within, and obviously, you stay stylish because you’ve got to give the girls a little something. For me, it’s just about staying true to myself and accentuating the good things I love about myself. I’m proud to be happy with who I am.”

Snoop Dogg Says Dionne Warwick Dared Him To Call Her B##ch And Punked Suge Knight

Snoop Dogg recalled Dionne Warwick calling out his misogynistic lyrics.

In CNN’s “Dionne Warwick: Don’t Make Me Over,” Snoop recounted a time when Dionne invited himself, Suge Knight, and others to her house at 7 o’clock in the morning.

The prospect of meeting Warwick was so intimidating Snoop, and his peers were all in her driveway by 6:52 a.m.

“We were kind of, like, scared and shook up,” Snoop admitted. “We’re powerful right now, but she’s been powerful forever. Thirty-some years in the game, in the big home with a lot of money and success.”

Once they arrived, Dionne insisted the rappers call her “b***h” to her face, as they referred to women in their songs.

“You’re going to have children. You’re going to have little girls, and one day that little girl is going to look at you and say, ‘Daddy, did you really say that? Is that really you?'” Dionne told them. “What are you going to say?”

Snoop summarized, “She was checking me at a time when I thought we couldn’t be checked… We were the most gangsta as you could be, but that day at Dionne Warwick’s house, I believe we got out-gangstered that day.”

The rapper went on to welcome a daughter as well as three sons, and told CNN that his conversation with Dionne inspired him to change his musical approach, starting with his 1996 record Tha Doggfather.

Doggface On Smoking With Snoop Dogg & Acting In ‘Reservation Dogs’ On Hulu

Doggface is proof that no dream is ever too big, and that life can take a turn for the better at any given moment. Hailing from Idaho originally, real name Nathan Apodaca could hardly predict what would transpire next: a viral moment on TikTok that would turn him into a celebrity and social media sensation.

Anyone who has the app probably saw his video skateboarding, while drinking cranberry juice and listening to Fleetwood Mac’s timeless smash “Dreams.” Since then, Doggface’s numbers have skyrocketed, peaking to seven million followers on TikTok and 2.6 million on Instagram.

Now, Doggface continues to bless the world with his positive, free-spirited energy. In addition to endless endorsements, Doggface made his debut on the small screen, acting in FX’s Reservation Dogs on Hulu. Additionally, he released his first single as a recording artist, collaborating with Klypso, War and Snoop Dogg, and even enlisting Cheech & Chong as cameos in the music video.

On the 46th episode of Shirley’s Temple, Doggface discusses working with Snoop Dogg, life before fame, working with Beatbox, meeting Fleetwood Mac, acting and more.

AllHipHop: How are you feeling?

Doggface: I’m chillin’, just living life. Riding that wave still and everything. Just living life.

AllHipHop: Do you still dab every morning?

Doggface: Every time. We got questioned the other day, my brothers and everybody. “How do you guys smoke all day?”

AllHipHop: Who’s questioning you all?

Doggface: Some females. The filmmakers that were filming our video we did with me and my new group, the 208 Natives. Shout out D.R.G. and Dino in the building. It was crazy.

AllHipHop: When you were smoking with Snoop, how high did you get with him?

Doggface: Same thing. It’s cool smoking with Snoop, because he comes in respectively and he gives me a blunt. I don’t smoke blunts. The only time I smoked a blunt was two times: with my brothers obviously, then the other one with Snoop. It’s cool because he has someone roll them. I seen his little cap and they have the little lipstick mark on the top. OK cool, that’s what’s up. [laughs] I saved the little cap. I smoked all the way to the roach.

AllHipHop: I really do like how I feel after I hit a Backwood though.

Doggface: Oh, not me. Hell no. I’m Vibes all day. I’m something paper. Yes, straight up.

AllHipHop: What was life before Doggface? I know the name was inspired by Nate Dogg.

Doggface: It was straight up work work work, everywhere. I was at a potato warehouse. It wasn’t 9 to 5, it was straight up 7am, then we wouldn’t get off until 7pm or 8pm sometimes. All the way Monday through Friday. We had our weekends to ourselves and whatnot. It’s crazy. After that, I’d just chill. Do wildland firefighting in the summers. Shout out to Fort Hall and Wildland Firefighters out there. I did Camp Crew with them, I took my crew out.

AllHipHop: How was that?

Doggface: It was insane. It was dope going out there, seeing a lot of the country. Seeing fires so up close and personal, it was dope. It was an adventure. I did that in the summers, then I’d go back and do my regular self at the potato warehouse in the winter. Alongside my pops, shouts out to my dad.

AllHipHop: Shout out to pops.

Doggface: No doubt. He was crazy, but yeah.

AllHipHop: Shout out to Beatbox, this is your company?

Doggface: This is not my company, but I’m on as a co-person. This is my drink though. 11.1 percent. We got a zero sugar one as well that’s only 6.0 percent, so I look at it as the female drink for the females. This is 11.1 percent for the dogs out there that want to get rough.

AllHipHop: Do you be getting lit off these?

Doggface: We just had a whole bunch not too long ago, I’m still chill. It’s good. I love the flavor. They always had their thing coming out on Shark Tank, it’s how they started off. Mark Cuban invested, Rob Dyrdek. They had all the flavors except cranberry. When I popped off, they said, “hey: Doggface, cranberry. Let’s see if he wants to team up.” They went to my team, shout out Gina and everybody. We made this together. We’re making it shine right now. I went to 4 stores today, they’re sold out at each store. It took 5 stores to finally get it, but that’s what’s up.

AllHipHop: How’s this little promo world?

Doggface: It’s dope. It’s what pays the bills now, so I’m loving it. Still riding the wave, getting into the acting game. Reservation Dogs, I’m out on Hulu right now. FX Networks. Stepping into the acting game, it’s crazy but I’m living my childhood dreams. I used to always want to act. I used to always f### around, making my family laugh. Now, I’m living it out. Stepping into music as well with my new group, 208 Natives.

AllHipHop: I was at your release party in LA.

Doggface: Oh hell yeah. We tore that up at that party. It was dope. War performed, then Cheech telling us to come out. That was dope.

AllHipHop: How was it doing that music video with Snoop Dogg?

Doggface: That was insane. The process of it all was insane. When we started filming, I was with Cheech & Chong. The kings on both sides, then legends of everything. We’re sitting there, they’re like, “well, we can’t pass the joint because of Covid.” I’m like aw s###. I don’t get to smoke with them, but I’ll smoke in their circle. I’m sitting there, then Cheech keeps puffing and puffing. I think it hit him too much because it was a big ass joint they gave him. He’s like “dude! I can’t.” So he goes like that. [passes joint] Dude, I puffed that s### up. Boom. Blew it out like hell yeah, I’m smoking all this s###.

It was cool as f###. It was insane. It was like passing the torch to me because now I got added to people’s list of people they want to smoke with. That’s insane. I get people telling me all the time: “all I want to do is smoke with you.” Hell yeah.

AllHipHop: You got seven million on TikTok, 2.6 million on Instagram. Do you catch all your messages?

Doggface: I missed them for a long time. But now, I have management. Mick Fleetwood reached straight out to me. I got their numbers. Shout out Mick Fleetwood all the way. He gave me a little signed drum set, drum top, drumsticks. Hell yeah, he showed love. Shouts out to him, no doubt.

AllHipHop: What was your biggest fanboy moment?

Doggface: I’m trying to think about it right now. It had to be Snoop. Being in a song with all them, but when I seen Cheech & Chong. Everybody always says, “who’s your best person you smoked with?” Obviously Snoop, but to be sitting between two legends, Cheech & Chong — an ’80s baby, that’s my legends right there. Straight up no doubt. Even though growing up with Snoop, listening to his stuff, joking around, saying I’m going to be on a song with Snoop one of these days, then now I’m sitting here in reality where I actually have that s###. It’s a trip.

AllHipHop: What a beautiful moment. I feel like good people deserve good things, you must be a good person. You deserve these blessings.

Doggface: Hell yeah, it was dope. It’s crazy how the video touched so many people’s lives, then how it reached so many people around the world. It was instant, it was crazy. Blew my mind. I’m just a regular Idaho native, Native Mexican mix. For this to happen, it’s crazy. It’s insane. I thought I was going to be living out my life working in the warehouse.

AllHipHop: You were in there for what, 18 years?

Doggface: I worked there from 2000 to 2020. In the summers, I went off and on doing the wildland stuff, the Camp Crew. I was over there for a grip. My dad was there for 35 years.

AllHipHop: How does it feel to be able to act, if that was your dream? Congrats on Reservation Dogs.

Doggface: It’s dope, beyond words. I can’t even explain it. Seeing myself on TV…

AllHipHop: Did that just come to you?

Doggface: No, I had an audition like everybody else. I got denied the first season. I got heartbreak, I felt it already and everything. But I didn’t know they had something in mind for me for the next season. I didn’t know if I was going to get it, then I got a call back. They’re like, “you gotta re-audition,” so I went back.

I was studying some Ralph Macchio stuff on YouTube, checking it out. How he used to do his stuff, just trying to get up on it. I did it again, I got the role for one of the lead characters’ uncles. It could be a recurring role, who knows? Shouts out if it is, and if not, I had fun.

AllHipHop: I bet that set life was nice.

Doggface: Oh yeah, it’s crazy. Especially after they got picked up from Disney for the next one. Because on Season 2, I’m pretty sure they got picked up by Disney. There were a lot of perks added to that, it was cool. The setting, just chillin’ with everybody. Shout out to everybody on the cast, the directors, everybody. It’s all Native based, we got everybody else just chilling’.

It’s dope we can step on the Hollywood scene, representing ourselves as Natives. Instead of everything that’s going on right now, people trying to set other actors as roles that they shouldn’t be portraying. We’re bringing our stuff back. Natives are here, we can act our own ways. There’s a lot of Mexicans who act their own ways. Everybody can do their own s###.

AllHipHop: That’s amazing because so many people probably look up to you. How does that feel?

Doggface: It’s insane, and that’s what keeps me going. The comments, except people don’t read their comments half the time. I do all the time. I feed back to the good, delete the negative at most. But I’ll even let the haters say some s### sometimes. If they get all crazy, I’m like okay well you’re gone.

AllHipHop: I saw in the interview you said your mom caught you stealing an Eazy-E CD?

Doggface: Yeah, the first time I got caught stealing. I stole it, then I got to the Burger King across the street from the mall. I’m sitting there opening — you know they have those old CD cases that hold it? I’m sitting there trying to open it, then we have an off duty cop over there sitting there.

Captain Save Them All Day, he comes over like, “yo, don’t they open those before you buy them?” I’m like um yeah, but I told them to leave it.

“Why are you going to tell them that?” Oh, I just want to learn how to open them. “OK well, where’d you get it?”

Me sitting there all scared, I spilled the beans. Over here at Sam Goody at the mall. He’s like, “okay well let’s call him, see what’s up.” Called them: “did these guys come in there?” “Yeah, we seen them.” “Did they buy this?” “They didn’t buy s###.”

He’s like “OK boom. “We’re going to take you in,” this and that. I’m like this m###########. He waited there, called an on duty officer. If I would’ve known that, I would have peaced out and ran. I was 14, I was all scared and s###. S###, busted. My mom had to come pick me up, got a whooping and s###. Old school style. Teach us well [laughs].

Julia Fox Implies She Cuddled With Drake On A Private Jet

Julia Fox has hinted she once went on an extravagant date with Drake.

During an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” with Andy Cohen on Wednesday, host Andy asked the “Uncut Gems” actress about the best date she has ever been on.

“I flew on a private jet, cuddled on the jet, landed, got some Chanel bags, it was just great,” she replied.

“Who was the person?” queried Andy, to which the 32-year-old responded: “I can’t say. I really can’t say but it was obviously an A-lister.”

Later in the episode, the presenter asked Julia about the topic again after she began to trend on social media.

“Was it Drake that took you on that date?” he asked, to which she smiled, “Maybe.” After letting out a dramatic sigh, Julia added, “(You) shouldn’t have given me that shot!”

During a previous episode of her Forbidden Fruits podcast, Julia revealed that she briefly dated Drake in 2020.

“He’s a great guy and a gentleman and that was it,” she said at the time. “Nothing really happened, we were just, like, friends hanging out. I wouldn’t say that we were dating.”

Has John “Boonk Gang” Gabbana’s Been Lying All This Time? Vicky Whoa Pulls Up With The Assist

They say, “Mama knowns best.” In this case, I wonder if that’s true. Who out there remembers Boonk Gang? I sure do! My dude was crazy af. He used to do stupid stuff like steal on camera and run away. Basically “doing it for the ‘Gram” before that was a thing. Here you see him talking to somebody about a lobster, then just stealing it and running away.

His Mama is on his bumper!

First of all, Boonk is now going by John Gabbana and his mother, Simona Ariel, is calling him a liar.  I don’t follow dude that closely anymore, but he turned to God and apparently cleaned up his life. That has gotten him some great will in the world. His mom is calling him a fraud. She maintains he’s been telling duck tales about his life as an abused kid.

First of all, I need Ma to get out of Wawa when she goes at a her son in public. She’s literally yelling in her phone inside of a Wawa. LOL! I need her to relax. She looks like Faith Evans’ sister.

On top of that,  Victoria Rose says she isn’t lying. The woman known as WoahVicky said Boonk was abusive to her as well, but in the physical form. Hot off the presses:

They have a kid together. He’s cute. I hope he does not start tattooing his face.

Waka Flocka Flame Explains Why He Thanks God For Getting Shot

Three-time Super Bowl champion Shannon Sharpe invited Hip Hop artist Waka Flocka Flame to sit down with him for the Club Shay Shay podcast. At one point, Waka reflected on a traumatic moment from his past.

In January 2010, news broke that a gunman shot Waka Flocka Flame (born Juaquin Malphurs) in the arm. The shooting/robbery took place while the then-23-year-old rapper cleaned his vehicle at a car wash in his hometown.

Shannon Sharpe asked Waka Flocka Flame about that alarming incident from twelve years ago. The “Hard in da Paint” rhymer’s answer focused on how getting injured that day in 2010 changed the direction of his life.

“I still go to the car wash. Yeah, I know what happened, definitely, 100 percent,” said Waka Flocka Flame. “I thank God for that, too. That was a blessing, because that weekend, I was making like a quarter million [dollars].”

The now-36-year-old businessman also stated, “I was going to buy some bricks and some pounds. And that’s God that stopped me. I thank God because I was arrogant as f###. It turned me dark all the way… That Waka died that day, too.”

Waka Flocka Flame went on to release the Flockaveli album in October 2010. Two years later, the BET Hip Hop Awards Rookie Of The Year nominee dropped Triple F Life: Fans, Friends & Family. Both of those albums peaked in the Billboard 200’s Top 10.

Waka Flocka Flame also partnered with his 1017 Brick Squad brethren Gucci Mane for 2011’s Ferrari Boyz collaborative project. As a soloist, Waka scored Billboard Hot 100 hits with songs like “O Let’s Do It” and “No Hands” featuring Roscoe Dash and Wale.

In addition, Waka appeared on the VH1 network’s Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta reality show. His television résumé also features starring roles on Marriage Boot Camp: Hip Hop Edition as well as Waka & Tammy with his longtime partner Tammy Rivera.

Tony Yayo Believes Tory Lanez Could Be A Target In Jail

Daystar “Tory Lanez” Peterson awaits sentencing for his Los Angeles County case. A jury found the Canadian musician guilty of assault with a semiautomatic handgun, having a loaded and unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and gross negligence in discharging his firearm.

The criminal case centered around the shooting of Hip Hop star Megan Thee Stallion in July 2020. Authorities immediately took Tory Lanez into custody following the announcement of the guilty verdict. Lanez’s sentencing hearing is currently set for January 27.

New York City-bred rapper Tony Yayo weighed in on the idea of Tory Lanez spend time behind bars. The 30-year-old Sorry 4 What album creator reportedly faces over 20 years in state prison.

VladTV caught up with Tony Yayo for an interview. The conversation included the G-Unit representative foreshadowing consequential trouble for Tory Lanez during his jail stint. Yayo even compares Lanez’s situation to other celebrities who have spent time in a correctional facility.

Tony Yayo: Everybody In The County Jail Will Be Talking About Tory Lanez

“It could be rough. People are not used to the conditions. You’re nobody. You’re just a number. They gonna make you feel like you’re not R. Kelly or Bill Cosby. They’re trying to make you feel like you’re just a number, and that’s what you are, just like everybody else,” said Tony Yayo.

The “So Seductive” rhymer also stated, “M############ don’t care. If you get out of line, a m########### will get out of line with you too. And then you’re more of a target. C’mon, L.A. County? You seen they put up his meal. ‘Yo, Tory Lanez in here.’ That’s the talk of the jail, and now everybody in the jail got something to talk about.”

Megan Thee Stallion publicly accused Tory Lanez of shooting her in the feet following a party at Kylie Jenner’s home. After two years of the she-said, he-said speculation playing out in the court of public opinion, the court of law convicted Lanez of all three counts filed against him.

Black Sheep Sues Universal Music Group For Unpaid Royalties

Back in 1991, Black Sheep burst onto the mainstream Hip Hop scene with “The Choice Is Yours (Revisited).” Fast forward 31 years, the New York-bred duo seeks compensation from Universal Music Group.

According to reports, Black Sheep filed a federal class action lawsuit against the multinational music corporation. Andres “Dres” Titus and William “Mista Lawnge” McLean claim Universal Music Group owes nearly $750 million to the label’s artist roster.

Black Sheep accuses Universal Music Group of breaching contracts by agreeing to an “undisclosed, sweetheart” deal with a streaming service. The plaintiffs allege UMG knowingly negotiated lower royalty payments from Spotify for UMG’s own financial benefit.

“For approximately a decade, Universal omitted from the royalty statements Universal issued to plaintiffs that it had received Spotify stock in connection with the ‘use or exploitation’ of Black Sheep recordings,” reads a section of the legal filing.

The lawsuit paperwork also states, “As a result of its continuing contractual breaches, Universal has unlawfully retained approximately $750 million in royalties that should have been paid to plaintiffs and the class.”

Black Sheep’s “The Choice Is Yours (Revisited)” peaked at #1 on Billboard‘s Hot Rap Singles chart. The track lives on the A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing album from 1991. That project hosts the “Flavor of the Month” and “Strobelite Honey” singles too.

A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing earned a Gold Award from the RIAA. Black Sheep’s album catalog also includes 1994’s Non-Fiction. Both A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing and Non-Fiction came out via Mercury Records, a subsidiary of Universal Music Group.

RIAA Announces GloRilla, Muni Long & More For #RIAAClassOf 2022

Armani White’s “BILLIE EILISH” also picked up a Gold Award from the RIAA in 2022. SleazyWorld secured a Platinum Award for “Sleazy Flow” as well. “BILLIE EILISH” rose to #58 on the Hot 100, and “Sleazy Flow” topped off at #47.

“Whenever a Gold, Platinum or Diamond certification is earned, it represents massive engagement from an artist’s fans, and a remarkable achievement by the artist, their creative teams, and their record label,” states Michele Ballantyne, RIAA COO.

Ballantyne continues, “And when it is your very first RIAA award, it’s even more special. We are so encouraged by the success of this #RIAAClassOf 2022 and are honored to help celebrate their immense talents.”

2022 also saw other Hip Hop acts surpass major Recording Industry Association of America milestones. Drake became the highest-selling RIAA singles artist of all time by eclipsing Eminem. Additionally, Post Malone and Swae Lee’s “Sunflower” is now the highest charting RIAA-certified single in history (17x-Platinum).

D. L. Hughley Calls Out The Media For Not Covering Dana White’s Scandal Like Black Men

Recently, footage of a physical altercation between Ultimate Fighting Championship president Dana White and his wife surfaced. Comedian D.L. Hughley believes the UFC boss is not receiving the same public scrutiny as Black celebrities.

The viral video shows Anne White slapping her husband inside a nightclub. Dana White then hits his spouse in the face as someone filmed the incident. Later, Dana addressed the situation while appearing on TMZ.

“You’ve heard me say for years, ‘There is never, ever an excuse for a guy to put his hands on a woman.’ And now here I am on TMZ talking about it,” said Dana White. “My wife and I have been married for almost thirty years. We’ve known each other since we were 12 years old. We’ve obviously been through some s### together.”

The 53-year-old MMA promoter also said, “I’m literally making no excuses for this thing at all. It’s never happened before. It’s the first time it’s ever happened. People are going to say what they’re going to say and it is what it is. Whatever people do say is deserved. I deserve it… My wife and I have apologized to each other.”

D.L. Hughley Mentions Chris Brown, Bobby Brown & Antonio Brown

Outspoken cultural critic D.L. Hughley had some things to say about Dana White and the media’s reaction to the news of his domestic dispute. The radio host shared his thoughts about the controversy on Twitter.

“If one of #DanaWhite’s fighters had beat his wife like that, he’d already have been arrested! #TeamDl,” tweeted D.L. Hughley on Wednesday. Plus, Hughley mentioned Black men that experienced a significant backlash in the past.

He added, “If #ChrisBrown, #BobbyBrown, or #AntonioBrown did what #DanaWhite did, the media wouldn’t stop talking about it!! What can Brown do for you?……… Be White!!” Chris Brown, Bobby Brown, and Antonio Brown have all faced abuse accusations during their respective careers.

D.L. Suggests Dana White Benefits From White Privilege

In addition, D.L. Hughley wrote about Dana White on his Instagram page. Additionally, The Original Kings of Comedy stand-up star pointed out that White built his estimated $500 million net worth by selling fights for two decades.

“‘What can BROWN do for you?’ Apparently not a damn thing! If that had been a brotha, it’d be NONSTOP coverage, dredging up a playground fight from the 3rd grade, scouring old tweets, you name it,” wrote D.L. Hughley on IG.

He concluded, “#DanaWhite‘s ENTIRE LIFE is immersed in brutal, physical violence, he’s amassed a fortune from it. Where are the salacious headlines?? Where’s the pressure?? Ohhhhh, he apologized🙄 #WhitePrivilege (PUN INTENDED) scores a 1st round knockout yet again.”

Noel thanked those that had helped find his cousin and shared his gratitude for all those that rallied around.

Takeoff Murder Suspect Reportedly Released on $1 Million Bond

The man accused of fatally shooting Migos rapper Takeoff has been released on bail, according to court records.

According to ABC affiliate station KTRK in Houston, Texas, Patrick Clark posted a $1,000,000 bond and was released on Wednesday (Jan. 4).

As reported by AllHipHop.com, Clark has repeatedly attempted to have his bail lowered after his arrest on Dec. 1. His attorney argued the DJ could not afford the bond, which was originally set at $2 million.

The judge lowered the bond to $1 million on Dec. 14, after attorneys argued that the original amount was excessive and goes against the Texas Constitution. Clark’s lawyers then unsuccessfully sought another reduction.

He again attempted on Dec. 28. However, the judge denied bond, deeming Clark to be a flight risk.

“Although we respect Judge Hill as well as his decision today, we disagree with it and to be honest we’re very surprised by it,” said Clark’s attorney, Letitia Quinones.

Additionally, Clark said they complied with other conditions, including a financial affidavit of Clark handing over his passport card.

“So it just leaves us puzzled what other factors are there other than the high profile nature of this case that would cause the judge not to reduce it to something that is reasonable,” Quinones added.

The judge did not rule out potentially changing the bond amount if new matters were raised by attorneys.

R. Kelly Silenced Aaliyah & Her Family With NDAs In Exchange For Rights To 3 Of His Albums, Docuseries Reveals

R. Kelly silenced Aaliyah and her family using non-disclosure agreements following his marriage to the 15-year-old R&B singer and the subsequent annulment, according to the latest installment of Lifetime’s Surviving R. Kelly: The Final Chapter

The docu-series, which aired on Jan. 2 and Jan. 3, focused on the disgraced singer’s 2022 federal trial where the NDA was put forward as evidence. Court documents state Aaliyah, who was Jane Doe #1, secretly married R. Kelly in 1994 when she was just 15, and he was 27.

The wedding used falsified documents showing the “One in a Million” singer to be 18 years old. Aaliyah’s parents forced her to annul the marriage six months later, in Feb. 1995.

In the new episodes, Kelly’s childhood friend and former security guard Gem Pratt claimed Aaliyah’s father reacted furiously to the illegal union and forced his daughter to annul the marriage. According to Pratt, the family came to an agreement with Kelly and signed an NDA stating they would not pursue legal action in exchange for the rights to his first three albums.

“It’s a harrowing document,” Journalist Jim DeRogatis, who broke the news of R. Kelly’s abuse back in the 90s, said of the NDA. “A non-disclosure agreement on both her part and Kelly’s, vowing not to pursue further legal claims for physical abuse. So, it wasn’t just an underage sexual relationship, he hit her, allegedly, according to that court document.”

The final parts of Surviving R. Kelly examines the enablers in the Chicago singer’s camp who ignored his abuse and helped facilitate his meetings with underage girls.

Pratt said that Aliyah’s father “didn’t want her anywhere near [R. Kelly],” before adding, “This was not a one-man operation. Most people in that camp knew that a lot of these girls were underage. They had to.”

R. Kelly is currently behind bars serving a 30-year sentence after being convicted of racketeering and sex trafficking.

Cardi B Responds To Backlash After Complaining About “Ridiculous” Grocery Prices

Cardi B responded to the criticism she received for voicing her concerns about the rising cost of living, after she commented on the “ridiculous” price of groceries.

On Tuesday evening (Jan. 3), the “Tomorrow 2” hitmaker took to Twitter to share her frustration over food costs.

“Naaaaaa grocery shopping prices are ridiculous right now,” Cardi B penned. “You might as well eat outside !!” She also complained about paying $6 for lettuce, but some fans criticized her, suggesting she can more than afford it.

However, a day later, Cardi B defended herself, explaining why she uses her voice and platform to talk about issues concerning the economy.

She posted a video titled “PSA,” responding to those who ask, “Ain’t you rich? Why you complaining about lettuce?”

According to Cardi, “That just goes to show me when you become successful, when you have money, you’re going to go broke soon because you’re not budgeting.”

She went on to explain that she keeps track of her spending and receives a weekly summary of her household expenses. Cardi stated that the prices of some items tripled, causing her to wonder how lower-income families are surviving.

“So yes, I’m going to say something,” she continued. “And I have a big platform. So I do want anybody that’s responsible for these f###### prices to put that s### the f### down. They gone see my s### they might put it down.” Check out her comments in the video below.

The NYC native also explained that she uses her platform to bring “awareness” in the hopes of making a difference.

Cardi B Says She Has Always Used her Platform To Raise Awareness

Cardi B shared a similar sentiment during her interview with David Letterman on the Netflix series My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.

“I don’t really put a lot of political things in my music, but I used the f### out of my platform,” she stated. “And I have used my platform even when I was a dancer. Because you might think that people are not looking, but they are.”

Cardi continued, “I mean, I’m a hood chick, and I’m from the Bronx. A lot of people relate to me and follow me because they want to see how I’m dressed, they want to see my lifestyle. I feel like I have a responsibility to also share to them like, ‘Hey, while you here and you’re checking my outfit and checking my music, check out what’s going on over here in this part of the world.’”

Cool Boy Bobby Connects With Project Pat & Gangsta Boo For “Bounce”

Nashville producer Cool Boy Bobby has collaborated with Scotty ATL, Lil Flip, and even Jellyroll. If you aren’t familiar with his music catalog, you’re missing out and probably in the majority. You can never have too many strip club anthems in your music library, right? If you need to add a brand new one to your library, I highly recommend it be Cool Boy Bobby’s “BOUNCE” featuring Project Pat & Gangsta Boo.

This is easily one of the dopest beats I’ve heard; It is mean and as dynamic as it will get. Gangsta Boo provides a nonchalant sound that exemplifies the personality of an experienced trapper. Pat has one of the best rap styles ever! Project Pat still has the same flow as in the old days. Follow his Instagram: @yapcampaign

EXCLUSIVE: Fetty Wap To Learn His Fate In Drug Case In March

Fetty Wap won’t find out his punishment for a federal drug charge until March.

According to documents obtained by AllHipHop, Judge Joanna Seybert issued a court order delaying Fetty Wap’s sentencing on Wednesday (January 4). The sentencing was rescheduled for March 9.

Fetty Wap was originally scheduled to be sentenced on January 18. The U.S. Probation Department asked Judge Seybert to postpone the proceedings.

Last year, Fetty Wap pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess and distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine. He avoided a potential life sentence by pleading guilty to the charge, which comes with a mandatory minimum of five years in prison.

Fetty Wap, whose real name is Willie Junior Maxwell II, faces a maximum of 40 years in prison. He waved the right to appeal if he’s sentenced to 10 years and a month behind bars or less.

The 31-year-old rapper was one of six men indicted for their involvement in a drug trafficking ring. He was arrested in October 2021.

“These defendants ran a multimillion-dollar bicoastal drug distribution organization with Suffolk County as their home base,” District Attorney Timothy D. Sini said. “They were wholesale drug dealers who pumped massive quantities of narcotics into our communities. As our investigation revealed, they would frequently use cutting agents to process just one of those kilograms of drugs into as many as four even before it was distributed to lower-level dealers, so the magnitude of this operation was enormous. Thanks to law enforcement’s efforts, this prolific supply chain has been cut off.”

Fetty Wap was released on a $500,000 bond in November 2021, but a judge revoked his bond in August 2022. He allegedly violated the terms of his release. Prosecutors said he waved a gun around and threatened to kill someone on a FaceTime call in December 2021.

Brawl At Finesse2Tymes Concert Leads To Shootout & Arrests

Two people face charges following a shooting at a Finesse2Tymes concert in Knoxville.

According to multiple reports, 22-year-old Jackie Netterville and 20-year-old Gino Mickens have each been charged with one count of reckless endangerment. Netterville is still at large. Mickens was taken into custody after the shooting on Monday (January 2).

Three people suffered non-life-threatening injuries after shots were fired during Finesse2Tymes’ show at a cannabis store. One victim remains in the hospital. Two were released.

Finesse2Tymes was booked to perform at My Canna Buds on Sunday night (January 1). A fight broke out at the show, leading to the shooting. Police said the altercation involved Finesse2Tymes, the owner of My Canna Buds and their security teams.

Knoxville Police Department spokesperson Scott Erland said police were aware of the potential for violence at the event. Several officers were in the area for the concert, allowing them to quickly respond to the shooting.

“I am incredibly thankful for our officers who were deployed in the area and responded immediately after shots were fired,” Chief Paul Noel said. “We are not going to tolerate violence that impacts our community, especially from those who come from outside of our community to perpetrate it.”

Finesse2Tymes spoke about the shooting on social media. He blamed the promoter for the incident.

“My whole team being investigated because this lame ass promoter n#### … wanna stand beside me intoxicated,” he said. “Bruh, you intoxicated. What is you even doing running a business right now?”

Finesse2Tymes added, “What is you standing by me, trying to reach at me and touch. Whatcha wanna be by me for? I ain’t that, respectfully … We ain’t friends, n####. The f### you trying to put my hands around my neck for?”

Police are still investigating the shooting. Officers recovered at least seven firearms from the scene.

Lil Keed Died Of Possible Parasitic Infection

Lil Keed’s official cause of death has been revealed.

According to PEOPLE, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner determined Lil Keed died of natural causes due to eosinophilia. The 24-year-old rapper passed away in May 2022.

The Mayo Clinic says eosinophilia is “a higher than normal level of eosinophils,” which are disease-fighting white blood cells. The condition can be caused by a parasitic infection, cancer or an allergic reaction.

Lil Keed’s autopsy didn’t clarify how he developed eosinophilia. He was feeling sick for several days prior to his death.

“He had been sick in bed for 4 days with complaints of stomach and back pains,” the coroner’s report explained. “His brother noted that the decedent’s eyes were jaundiced and drove him to the hospital in a private vehicle.”

Lil Keed suffered a seizure en route to the hospital. The YSL artist became unresponsive and later died at the hospital.

Days before Lil Keed’s death, Young Thug and more than two dozen YSL members were indicted in a sweeping RICO case. Prosecutors claim YSL is a criminal street gang.

Young Thug and 13 co-defendants await trial on RICO charges. Eight men – including Gunna and Young Thug’s brother Unfoonk – accepted plea deals in the case.
