Cowboy Apparently Blasts Nipsey Hussle’s Homie!

Cowboy.

Salute salute to the homey Cowboy. When Nipsey Hussle was first murdered, I thought Cowboy was something else (shady) but I do actually think he is a stand up dude. Cowboy recently took the stand in the murder case against Nipsey Hussle, and a lot of people are saying that he’s some kind of a snitch. Taking a stand does not necessarily make you a snitch I am nobody’s thug, dog or criminal, but snitching is the act of telling on someone else to save your own skin. So, for example, a law abiding Citizen that tells on a criminal, is not a snitch.

Anyway, Cowboy basically said that Nipsey Hussle did not call Eric Holder a rat. Or a snitch. And therefore causing the conflict that resulted in Nipsey‘s death. They are victim blaming Nip in death. What this does is, basically removes the nature of the murder. It says that Eric Holder thought about killing Nipsey and did not do it in a sudden impulsive act of murderous aggression. The difference is roughly 11 years to life in jail. We basically need homeboy to spend the rest of his days in prison or waiting for the death penalty. He took Nip from us.

Anyway, the backstory of this all is that there’s another guy Rimpal and he is a part of the All Money In Crew but he has been ostracized apparently, because he is now seen on tape running when Nipsey was shot. Honestly, I never heard of this guy before today, and I have not seen the tape. Cowboy took the time to talk about somebody that people say is Rimpal, but he didn’t say names. Cowboy basically saw the Nipsey tape for the first time in court and went berserk! And he also seemed to address the people that regard him as some kind of a snitch for just taking the stand. Weird.

A$AP Rocky Explains How He Ended Up Wearing A Quilt To Met Fashion Gala

A$AP Rocky begged one of his go-to designers to make him an outfit for the 2021 Met Gala from a thrifted quilt.

The rapper made a splash last September when he stepped out at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City alongside his girlfriend Rihanna wearing a giant handmade quilt.
In a new interview for Dazed, A$AP Rocky revealed that he knew he wanted to wear the item to the annual fashion bash after spotting it in Eli Russell Linnetz’s studio.

“I went to Eli’s spot – Eli Russell Linnetz – he owns the label ERL – and when I walked in there was this quilt just sitting on the couch. I was like, ‘Can I have that quilt?’ And he was like, ‘Well, I actually just thrifted it.’ He had picked out a few looks for me, but I was on his a*s about that quilt,” the star recalled. “And so, he stitched it together and made it a custom piece. That’s how I decided to wear a quilt to the Met Gala.”

And while A$AP Rocky, real name Rakim Mayers, and Rihanna ended up coordinating on the red carpet, he insisted they didn’t plan out their outfits.

“I didn’t know what she was wearing, she didn’t know what I was wearing,” the 33-year-old asserted.

Luke Revyn Explains How “White Lies” ft. Lil XXEL Came To Be

Luke Revyn is only 20 years old and already finding his niche within the music industry. Bursting onto the scene with his alternative/pop/rock persona, the rising star wears his heart on his sleeve, detailing his journey from being a troubled teen to hopping on a plane in pursuit of becoming music’s next big superstar.

In describing himself, Luke states, “Honestly, I’m just a kid from Hawaii who’s chasing his dream and looking to make a difference in this crazy world.”

Growing up in Hawaii, Luke was constantly immersed in the arts, including joining the school theater, the band, chorus programs, and even playing in his own punk band around town. And while he had his bouts of mental health issues, from clinical depression to learning disabilities, music would be his saving grace.

Fast forward to today, Luke Revyn unveils his newest single and visual for “White Lies.” AllHipHop spoke with Luke Reyvn about the new song and how it all came together.

AllHipHop: You’re from Hawaii, how does that play into your life and career?

Luke Revyn: Growing up on the small Hawaiian island of Kauai has shaped me as a person in so many ways, which have naturally played huge parts in my life and career. I think the biggest thing for me is coming from a small town, I have this unrelenting need to prove to the world that I have something to offer.

AllHipHop: Biggest influences?

Luke Revyn: Classic rock bands such as Led Zeppelin, Guns N Roses, and Motley Crue. However I also really love early 2000’s hard rock like Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, and Papa Roach.

AllHipHop: At what point did you realize this music thing was for real?

Luke Revyn: When I decided to drop outta college, it’s been nothing but real to me since then.

AllHipHop: What was the inspiration behind your name?

Luke Revyn: I’m not religious, but somehow I stumbled upon the Bible verse Luke 12:24 where the Raven was talked about which gave me my original idea of “Luke Raven.” Then I combined that with the first 3 letters of my last name which is Reynolds, leaving me with Luke Reyvn.

AllHipHop: “White Lies” out now, I know you chose Lil XXEL after an “open verse challenge” on your TikTok. What was it about his submission?

Luke Revyn: Honestly, I just really loved how Xxel took into consideration the lyrics that I had written. Rather than doing his own thing, he really added to the story behind the song with his own experiences. On top of that, he’s an extremely talented artist.

AllHipHop: How did the collaborative process happen after that?

Luke Revyn: We just connected through social media and started to discuss the possibilities of doing a collaboration. After throwing some ideas back and forth, we decided we both loved the original takes. He sent me his verse which we got a super quick turn around on, then immediately shot the music video.

AllHipHop: What do you want fans to take from the record?

Luke Revyn: I hope the listeners can have as much fun listening to the song as we did making it!

AllHipHop: What is it you want fans to get from your story?

Luke Revyn: Something that’s really helped me in all aspects of my life was realizing that if I turned what I thought my biggest weaknesses were into my greatest strengths, then there was nothing that could stop me in whatever it is I wanna do.

AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio?

Luke Revyn: Caffeine, water, and good company!

AllHipHop: What can we expect from your forthcoming debut album?

Luke Revyn: My debut album is going to not only reflect my growth as an artist, but also a person. As well a variety of Luke Reyvn signature sounds displaying my genre bending versatility.

AllHipHop: Goals yourself as an artist at this point of your career?

Luke Revyn: My biggest goals as of right now are to release my debut album, get on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine, and keep growing my amazing community of supporters, friends, and family!

U.K. Top Prosecutor Says Drill Music Videos Can Be Used As Evidence Of “Modus Operandi Of An Attack”

The U.K.’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), have revealed how they use drill music videos and artists’ social media posting to help solve gang-related murders.

According to the head of the CPS, Director of Public Prosecutions Max Hill QC, while drill music is “not a crime,” music videos can be considered “admissible evidence for a jury to consider” if it sheds light on the “modus operandi of an attack.”

“Drill Music Is Not A Crime”

Hill continued, “Social media, mobile phone and drill music have been a massive recent change in crime over the last few years. The footprint a gang can leave now is massive, whether on social media or in drill music videos. Drill music is not a crime, it is meant to shock, so we cannot take it literally.”

The CPS claims videos will be used in cases where the suspects deny knowing each other despite appearing together in visuals for their music.

“However, we can use videos to show defendants – who say they do not know each other because there is no CCTV of them together and phones have been thrown away – actually do know each other because they appeared together in drill music videos,” Hill added.

Click here to read AllHipHop’s report: Is Drill Music Getting A Bad Rap?

The U.K. is increasingly citing music from the genre in prosecutions. According to a 2021 study, the BBC examined nearly 70 trials where rap and drill music was used in evidence. The findings revealed most cases were in the preceding two years, often involving rappers, with many featuring allegations of murder. The overwhelming majority of defendants in those cases were young black men and boys.

The move has caused “serious concerns” for senior academic and criminologist Dr. Mohammed Rahman. He claims specific descriptions “of violence or otherwise, is open to interpretation,” due to the “creativity behind drill.”

He explained to iNews: “Drill music has been around for 10 years. Have they been working on it since it emerged? What credentials do they have? How are they made aware of what the lyrics represent? How do they define that? It has more consequences than we can imagine.”

Max Hill made his remarks during a briefing at the CPS Serious Violence, Organised Crime and Exploitation Unit (SVOCE). The unit was established last year, focusing on gang-related violence and County Lines drugs gangs. The term is used to describe criminals who exploit children to deliver drugs into rural areas around the U.K.

Chris Brown Reveals How He Reduced 250 Songs To 23 For Upcoming “Breezy” Album

Chris Brown has another huge album coming following his previous lengthy projects with 23 songs on his upcoming project. However, he revealed his tenth studio album could have been an even bigger offering.

During an interview with Big Boy of Big Boy’s Neighborhood Breezy revealed he recorded 250 songs for Breezy before making his final selection. He explained how he came up with the 23-song track list for the project, due at the end of the week.

“It’s crazy in the album process,” Chris Brown admitted. “Let’s just say I put out an album like the Indigo album. While I was about to put that out, I was already recording songs and doing stuff for the next one. But I be having so many songs, I think for this actual project I had almost 250 songs. I was like, ‘Yeah, we gotta scale this down and figure out what to do!’”

Chris Brown continued, describing his process of elimination. “Too many of the songs sound in the same frequency. It’s like a show. You got the beginning, the climax, and then the end,” he said. “But I still want to give my audience at least two or three of the same and not [release] a whole album where every song sounds the same,” he added.

The long-awaited Breezy is due on June 24, almost three years to the day since the release of his last album, 2019’s Indigo. Both Indigo and its predecessor 2017’s Heartbreak On A Full Moon contained 45 songs, nearly double his current project.

Chris Brown tapped an all-star cast of collaborators for his upcoming release. Lil Wayne, Tory Lanez, Anderson .Paak, Jack Harlow, Fivio Foreign, EST Gee, Blxst, Yung Bleu, WizKid, H.E.R., and Ella Mai all feature on the 23-song album.

However, fans of the R&B singer won’t have to wait until Friday for new music. Last week, Chris Brown dropped a fresh new single “Call Me Everyday,” featuring Nigerian superstar Wizkid. Check it out below.

T.I. is sharing his frustrations his VH1 reality show, T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle remains on hold after the long-running series was canceled in February 2021, less than a month after it was renewed.

The network pulled the plug on the show amid a number of sexual assault allegations against T.I and his wife Tiny. The couple denies all the claims against them and maintains their innocence.

This weekend, the Atlanta rapper took to Instagram to vent, sharing a meme that had caught his attention. “I wish TI Family Hustle still came on,” read the post. T.I. then addressed the matter in the caption and with his choice of soundtrack – his 2001 single “F### ‘Em” featuring Lil Jon.

The network suspended the show due to “the serious nature” of the claims.

“We are aware of the allegations, and while they are not connected to our show, we have reached out to T.I. and Tameka Harris, as well as local and state officials,” an MTV Entertainment spokesperson said at the time. “Given the serious nature of the allegations, we have decided to suspend production in order to gather more information.

The couple’s legal issues began when Tiny’s former friend Sabrina Peterson accused T.I. of holding a gun to her head and threatening to kill her. Further sexual assault claims from several other women followed. In May 2021, the LAPD launched an investigation after an anonymous woman filed a police report. She accused the rapper and his wife of abusing, drugging, and assaulting her in 2005. However, the judge declined to hear the case citing the expiration of the statute of limitations.

“Mr. and Mrs. Harris are pleased, but not surprised, by the district attorney’s decision to dismiss these meritless allegations,” their attorney said following the ruling. “We appreciate the DA’s careful review of the case and are grateful to be able to put the matter behind us and move on.”

50 Cent Calls Out Father’s Day Double Standard: “It’s Not Really A Holiday”

50 Cent claims fathers are getting the short end of the stick when it’s time to celebrate them. According to the G Unit boss, Father’s Day isn’t “really a holiday” like Mother’s Day is. Instead, it’s a reminder for dads to “go fix some s###.”

While many fathers took to social media to share tributes from their loved ones during the annual celebrations, 50 Cent hopped on Instagram to call out the double standard he says exists.

“Listen, listen,” he began. “Father’s Day is a holiday that’s not really a holiday, you know what I’m saying? Like that s### is like… Even by the commercials, look at the commercials! Father’s Day, they’ll show you screwdrivers, muthafuckin’ power tools. Like go fix some s###.”

Furthermore, 50 Cent says advertisers encourage buying extravagant Mother’s Day gifts “because you care,” whereas fathers are reminded of their obligations.

“Like n##### don’t want diamonds? You know what I’m saying?” 50 Cent continued. “Mother’s Day come, n##### is getting flowers, cards, all kinds of s###, right? What the f### they get for Father’s Day? You get a text for Father’s Day! You get a text,” he repeated, “to make sure you still know where you should send your cheque.”

“👀I can’t believe how much i be telling the truth 🤷🏽‍♂️Lol,” Fiddy penned in the caption. “Happy Father’s day.”

To see him speak is like sitting in a theater and watching a movie. LA’s very own BOY CHAD releases his melodic, heartfelt new single “LOSING CONTROL” on all streaming platforms.

Taking the hyperpop and hip hop sound to a new level, BOY CHAD reflects on a low time in his life and tells the story of how he survived it. The musician shares, “I had to figure it out, I was battling depression. Mental pain is less dramatic than physical pain, but it is more common and also harder to bear. The frequent attempt to conceal mental pain increases the burden: it is easier to say “My tooth is aching” than to say “My heart is broken.”

It didn’t take long for the song to go viral when it was released. As an accomplished artist, BOY CHAD’S latest single skyrocketed as a result. One who is willing to put his thoughts on display for his followers to make sense of. To see him speak is like sitting in a theater and watching a movie. Aside from the narrative being BOY CHAD’s mental landscape. The same may be said for his music.

Doja Cat Explains How Nicki Minaj Is Making Her A Better Businesswoman

Doja Cat looks to Nicki Minaj for inspiration to be a fierce businesswoman.

At the end of her track, “Get Into It (Yuh),” Doja namedrops the Nicki Minaj, thanks her, and tells her she loves her, and the “Say So” star explained in a new interview that she has been looking to Nicki as a source of inspiration for years.

She told Elle magazine that she’s learning how to channel Nicki’s “lioness fierceness” and creative hustle.

“I think her as a businesswoman really inspired me,” she said. “The way Nicki can carry herself felt almost alien to me because I was kind of a little runty kid, trapped in her room, just watching YouTube videos. And back then, I was like, ‘Damn, that’s dope.'”

Doja Cat offered Nicki Minaj the opportunity to appear on her track, but she turned the feature down, saying in a Twitter Spaces conversation last year that she “didn’t think I could bring anything to it.

Elsewhere in her Elle interview, Doja Cat revealed more details about her next album, which will be predominantly rap.

“I have been getting songs and things sent to me… Oh f###, I wish I could tell people!” she exclaimed. “There’s some really cool stuff that I got sent from friends. They’re all working on beats, and I’m giving them notes, and they know what I want, so I’m excited.”
