Kiwi, a producer and artist originally from Superior, WI discovered a love for music at a young age. A natural musical talent, he taught himself to play guitar after receiving one for Christmas at the age of 10 and taught himself the basics of piano later in high school. He explained his start with music revealing, “I’ve always been into music for as long as I can remember…Growing up I listened to a variety of music, but I always liked creating my own songs.”
He started making beats in 2016 before the start of college and then began posting them on YouTube. Quick growth followed and the next two years saw him balancing school with posting and trying to connect with artists online. Talent does not go undiscovered for long and soon Kiwi was reached out to by YK Osiris and ended up making “Valentine” and “Worth It” in his dorm room. Shortly after this success, Kiwi dropped out of university and focused full-time on music.
Since then he has produced big hit songs such as “Mood Swings” by Pop Smoke and Lil Tjay and “Love Hurts” by Lil Tjay and Toosii. His accomplishments boast two triple-platinum songs, a platinum single, and a few gold and platinum albums, yet his vision and dreams are for even more.

A judge jokingly mentioned one of Drake’s biggest hits in a court order involving the OVO rapper.
According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Drake was dismissed with prejudice from a lawsuit concerning Chris Brown’s song “No Guidance.” United States District Judge Rodolfo A. Ruiz II referenced the single “Started From the Bottom” in the dismissal.
“Ordered and adjudged that Defendant Aubrey Drake Graham a/k/a Drake is dismissed with prejudice and without costs or attorneys’ fees as against any party,” Judge Ruiz wrote. “In dismissing this case, the Court notes that Mr. Graham started from the bottom — being named as a Defendant — now we’re here — a dismissal with prejudice.”
Singer Brandon Cooper and producer Timothy Valentine sued Chris Brown and Drake for copyright infringement in 2021. The lawsuit claimed Chris Brown and Drake’s collaboration “No Guidance” ripped off the plaintiffs’ song “I Love Your Dress.”
The plaintiffs, whose stage names are Mr. Cooper and Drum’n Skillz, said they dropped their track three years before the 2019 release of Chris Brown’s single. They contend the RCA Records artist’s “No Guidance” copied or was mostly derived from their song “I Love Your Dress.”
Listen to “No Guidance” and “I Love Your Dress” below.
KINGMOSTWANTED is here to put on for the Inland Empire, putting his city on the map any chance he can. At only 20 years old, the rising star has already lived through a lifetime of hardships and experiences… every reason why fans can’t help but gravitate towards his music. Injecting real-life scenarios and sentiments into his rhymes, the West Coast spitter has his eyes on being one of the greats.
In describing himself, KING states he’s “reckless, goofy, turnt up. I’ve got a soft side. I like all music, all types of music. I’m just a cool person. I’ve easy to vibe with and I’m not easy to vibe with, just complicated basically.”
Most recently, KINGMOSTWANTED unveiled his new single and visual for “Cali Lovin,” flipping one of the most timeless records in hip-hop: Ice Cube’s “Check Yo Self.” The fact he does the track justice is a talent in itself, adding a modern-day twist that audiences around the world can relate to.
He spits, “I gotta check myself before I wreck myself, I’m a 909 n*gga with a Tec under my belt. Bank account high I’m living it well, and it’s f### the police free my sharks out the cell.”
“Cali Lovin” serves as the lead single to his forthcoming EP aptly titled Notorious King, his newest project following 2020’s FRESHMAN YEAR. Currently releasing music via Vydia, KING has come a long way since the release of “In My City,” which put his name on the map.
AllHipHop: What was it like growing up in the IE?
KINGMOSTWANTED: It was fun, a lot of life learning lessons and everything. I like the IE, I love the IE actually.
AllHipHop: Who’s really from there?
KINGMOSTWANTED: From the IE, that’s big? Nobody really.
AllHipHop: I know Audio Push and Hit-Boy…
KINGMOSTWANTED: Shout out to Hit-Boy if he’s from the IE.
AllHipHop: He did Nipsey Hussle’s “Racks in the Middle.”
KINGMOSTWANTED: I don’t know that. I don’t listen to Nipsey Hussle. Rest in peace though, I pay my respects. It’s just not my type of music.
AllHipHop: What’s your type of music?
KINGMOSTWANTED: NBA Youngboy, Billie Eilish, Shawn Mendes.
AllHipHop: Billie Eilish?!
KINGMOSTWANTED: I love Billie Eilish. I don’t listen to West Coast music like that.
AllHipHop: So where do you get your bars from?
KINGMOSTWANTED: It’s all natural, it’s me. That’s just how I talk so if people consider it West Coast, then I guess it is, but I don’t listen to West Coast music honestly. There’s a lot of people and a lot of talent out here, there really is. It’s just not my style, I don’t like listening to it sometimes. No disrespect or anything, I love the West Coast.
AllHipHop: When did you fall in love with music?
KINGMOSTWANTED: Me doing it, as soon as I started. Ever since I was younger, I’ve always loved music. I loved country music, I like a lot. All types of music.
AllHipHop: When did you realize you could do music for a living?
KINGMOSTWANTED: When I was 13, I realized when I was in jail. 12, 13 years old, an officer told me… I was just rapping, playing on the homie’s head. She pulled me to the side and said “you’re talking nonsense, but you really know what you’re saying. You could put bars together, rhyme good and make sense.” Then I took it seriously at around age 15, 16.
AllHipHop: What were you doing before then?
KINGMOSTWANTED: Before music? School. Just school and turning up with the homies. Hanging out and s###, just partying.
AllHipHop: How did you get your name?
KINGMOSTWANTED: KINGMOSTWANTED, just because I was in juvi again. I was locked up. Not a lot of people know this, but I was going by BIGMONEYKING at first. Somebody from the Bay, I forget now who it was but they had that in their name and they were already poppin’. I thought “I can’t just take that name, I’m a switch it up. What can I be?” I seen a lot of people have “most hated.” Why do a lot of people want to be most hated? I’m most wanted. The cops want me, the fame, the money, the girls. I’m the most wanted. King’s my last name so KINGMOSTWANTED.
AllHipHop: How long were you locked up for?
KINGMOSTWANTED: I’ve been locked up about 12 times in juvenile hall, then I’ve been to county at 18 once.
AllHipHop: What did you learn from being behind bars?
KINGMOSTWANTED: I actually learned there’s a lot of snakes out there, and probation’s really just a set-up.
AllHipHop: It’s better than being locked up, no?
KINGMOSTWANTED: Not really. I don’t know, in my eyes you’re gon; get locked back up. Probation… I’ve only been in jail for a charge once and that’s when I was 12. Every other time, it was violations from probation. I think about it like if they never put me on probation, I never would’ve gone back to jail.
AllHipHop: Talk about “In My City,” the video has 9.2 million views on Youtube. Did you think it would blow up like this?
KINGMOSTWANTED: I did. Not really as far as it went nationwide and international. I be seeing I got plays in Germany, all different countries. I didn’t think that, but I did know that song was one of them ones because I’m not targeting strictly San Bernardino. I’m saying “In my City,” where you live you can bang that. So if you’re from the Bay, you’re from San Diego, you can say it. “In My City,” I’m not targeting one area. For surely I put my city in there though. My town. But anybody could — even if you’re from New York, whatever city you from, you can say “in my city.” I already knew it was going to be one of them ones. I didn’t expect it to blow up as much as it did, but I’m proud of it.
AllHipHop: Did that help build your following? Or was there another moment?
KINGMOSTWANTED: There were a lot of moments. There was a time where I had 5, 6 different songs going crazy at once, all at once. Different challenges to one song, they were all doing different types of things to one song. All of them helped with my following.
AllHipHop: New single and visual “Cali Lovin,” what inspired you to create this one? It’s an Ice Cube classic!
KINGMOSTWANTED: I really like Ice Cube a lot. I don’t listen to his music like that but when I heard the “check yoself” song, I said “I gotta do it, I just have to.” I already knew I had to sample and remake it, put my splash on it. That’s a good song.
AllHipHop: Was it hard to clear the sample?
KINGMOSTWANTED: Very hard. A year and a half hard. My team did it, shout out to Vydia. They worked really hard, specifically June and Saheed, all of them. June really put the pressure on them, shout out to him.
AllHipHop: What inspired the visual?
KINGMOSTWANTED: Me, my manager, and the cameraman SuperGebar, shout out to him. But my manager Ocho, they really helped. It was all a team discussion and decision type. We all came together on it, really shout out to them. They put the most effort into that video.
AllHipHop: What was the best memory from shooting?
KINGMOSTWANTED: When I was behind the bars, it gave me back memories. But I can actually walk out of these bars! Damn I could walk out and I felt good, I was with my people and everything. It just felt good. It’s a good video shoot and I like the way it looks, all of it. Super Gebar, he did his stuff on that. It’s a good video.
AllHipHop: How’s the independent grind?
KINGMOSTWANTED: I love it. I can drop whenever I want, I’m not forced to do certain things. I went on the right path because nobody owns me. I’m me and I get to be with my team. I’m still 8PETOWN.
AllHipHop: What is it you want fans to get from your story?
KINGMOSTWANTED: I’ve heard from a lot of different fans that they get certain things from a song that I didn’t even expect them to get from it. Honestly, whatever you can get from listening to it because every human being is different. I’ve been getting a whole lot of different responses from certain songs. I’m like “oh, I wasn’t even targeting that.” But if you got that from it, it’s good.
AllHipHop: Talk about your upcoming project “Notorious King,” what can we expect?
KINGMOSTWANTED: Notorious King, you can expect some big features. Something crazy, I can’t go too in on it, but it’s notorious. Notorious King, just like the name. It’s going to be spectacular.
AllHipHop: You can’t give us an exclusive on the features?
KINGMOSTWANTED: Shout out to JOP, Jesús Ortiz Paz you feel me. He’s gon be on there. He’s a Spanish artist, he’s the biggest one right now. He’s from San Bernardino too so we collaborated. He’s really blowing up in Mexico and everything, this is his first song. Oh yeah, “Cali Lovin” with King Combs too.
AllHipHop: Love King Combs! How did y’all link?
KINGMOSTWANTED: I’ve been linked with him before. Originally, I had him on another song but that one is still in the process of getting cleared so I had him get on this one. I talked to him, Facetimed him, and just told him. He heard the song and he said “yeah I’m a do it.”
AllHipHop: Did he bring that East Coast swag? Well, I guess he’s from the West Coast, technically.
KINGMOSTWANTED: Hell yeah, his first bar. He said “I’m an eastside n*gga…” [laughs]
AllHipHop: Talk about your “F### Yo Samples” mixtape with DJ Five Venoms.
KINGMOSTWANTED: “F### Yo Samples,” it’s really all in the name. because I don’t get that clearance stuff, I’m trying to bring back stuff from people. I didn’t even know about Biggie Smalls so I’m trying to recreate and put it back out there so people my generation, my age can know about it. That clearance s###: y’all don’t want me to bring them back? Certain songs will never see the light of day?. So it’s really “F### Yo Samples,” I’m a drop it anyways.
AllHipHop: What’s the vibe with Venoms? Love him!
KINGMOSTWANTED: I love Venoms man. I can say it with my whole heart, he’s dope to just jump in and be a part of it. It was a great experience what we did. He was playing my stuff at Rolling Loud and I wasn’t even there! Because I couldn’t be there. I heard he was playing my songs, shoutout to him.
AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio at all times?
KINGMOSTWANTED: I need my brothers with me, I need the music up really loud, and sometimes I need ecstasy.
Teslas, I like the Tesla slide.
AllHipHop: AZChike, he just made a song “Tesla or the X.”
KINGMOSTWANTED: Yes, I love it. I love AzChike too, that’s my brother.
AllHipHop: You’re only 20, do you feel young?
KINGMOSTWANTED: Nah, I feel like I’ve lived my life. I know there’s more that I can do, but I’ve done more than what a grown 60-year-old man could say he’s done. Way more.
AllHipHop: What do you like to do when you’re not doing music?
KINGMOSTWANTED: Man, I like to be with my brothers. I could be in the crib for a whole week with them and it feels like we went to Hawaii or something.
AllHipHop: These your brothers?
KINGMOSTWANTED: Jank Baby, TGK Splash. They have now, not next ever. They part of the team.
AllHipHop: You’ve been on TikTok?
KINGMOSTWANTED: Yeah, I’m poppin’ on TikTok. It’s really good if you want to go nationwide, international. Sometimes, I’ll see a bad female. I’ll click on it and I’ll be like “damn, but she’s from Atlannta. Show me some Cali people!” Just from that, I know that s###’s international. It’s important to some artists.
AllHipHop: What are your favorite brands?
KINGMOSTWANTED: My own clothing, Versace, and Bad News. 8PETOWN and 8K, I really love it. Also ain’t gon’ cap, that Desto Dubb: A Lot of Cough Syrup and A Lot of Percs. I like that, that’s hard.
AllHipHop: Anything you want fans to know about you?
KINGMOSTWANTED: Know I might come off aggressive sometimes, but I’m not always like that. I am like that, but I’m not always like that. Some fans, they text me and they tell me, “I seen you there, but I didn’t want to take a picture. I didn’t know if you was in the mood.” Man, you come up and take a picture with me. I love my fans and supporters.
AllHipHop: What does your face tattoo mean?
KINGMOSTWANTED: The Asian one, that’s my granny named Margaret. Rest in paradise.
AllHipHop: Do you have any goals for yourself?
KINGMOSTWANTED: Keep elevating, keep going up. More visuals, I love visuals. More performances, and just takeover. I’m coming for Mexico next. All of Mexico. JOP on there, shoutout to Fuerza Regida and all that.
AllHipHop: Anything else you want to let us know?
KINGMOSTWANTED: Shout out my brothers, TGK Splash, Jank Baby. Shout out MCM Raymond, shout out Big Ocho, shout out the whole 8K team. Shout out GQ, Bad News, and shout out my man Fake Jello. They all doing their thing, and shout out to you and your 7 gram blunt. Damn, I only put 3.5 in my Wood. I’m finna smoke that right now.

Viola Davis has addressed her critics after backlash over her portrayal of former First Lady, Michelle Obama.
Viola Davis has addressed the criticism surrounding her portrayal of Michelle Obama in the TV series “The First Lady.”
The Oscar, Emmy, and Tony Award-winning actress found herself in a rare position recently when she was criticized for her performance as the former U.S. First Lady in the series.
Many viewers took to social media to complain about her overly pursed lips and called her pout and facial expressions distracting.
Addressing the criticism in an interview with BBC News, Davis insisted that it is “incredibly hurtful when people say negative things about your work.”
She noted that criticism is an “occupational hazard” of acting and not every performance will be on par with her awards-worthy work.
“How do you move on from the hurt, from failure?” the 56-year-old asked. “But you have to. Not everything is going to be an awards-worthy performance.”
The “Fences” star went on to declare that “critics absolutely serve no purpose” and suggested their work gives them license to be mean.
“They always feel like they’re telling you something that you don’t know. Somehow that you’re living a life that you’re surrounded by people who lie to you and ‘I’m going to be the person that leans in and tells you the truth’. So it gives them an opportunity to be cruel to you,” she continued. “But ultimately I feel like it is my job as a leader to make bold choices. Win or fail it is my duty to do that.”
The TV show also stars Michelle Pfeiffer and Gillian Anderson as former First Ladies Betty Ford and Eleanor Roosevelt, whose stories took place many years ago.
In Davis’ case, she admitted playing somebody so current and familiar as Obama was “almost impossible” and added, “Either you’re doing too much or not enough.”
Davis also said that she has no “personal contact” with Obama so doesn’t know what she thinks of the show, which premiered on U.S. network Showtime earlier this month.
Travis Scott has signed on for his first public performance following the Astroworld tragedy last November.
The “Franchise” rapper will take the stage at E11EVEN in Miami on May 7th, during the city’s Formula One Grand Prix event.
It will be Travis’s first public concert since his Astroworld Festival gig in Houston, where a mass-casualty crowd crush killed 10 people and injured hundreds.
Since the tragedy, Travis Scott has pledged to work with the U.S. government to help standardize safety protocols at concerts. He currently faces multiple lawsuits from victims’ families.
The rapper has played only private VIP sets since the incident. Tables at E11even range from $5,000 to $100,000.
Show tickets listed on the club’s website range from $150 to $250.
Club owners announced show tickets on Instagram over the weekend but later deleted the post. A source said they removed it to update the marketing materials.
I am not sure that you can classify any car that costs $28 million as a car. There has to be a new name for it. At any rate, that is what the rumors are saying. Apparently, Jay-Z spent $28 million for a Rolls Royce Boat Tail.
Here’s what I think.
I think this is a big ol’ cap!
Here’s why. First of all: let’s take the source. Not to get all granular but the source of the rumor is a series of social media handles known to lie. There are times where they tell the truth and others where it is all CAP.
First of all, this has been a rumor for roughly a year. There are no reports that suggest is it fully true. Some reports say there’s evidence that support that it MAY be true. One site said the following:
[The rumor] starts with the color blue, which covers the Rolls top to bottom. The Daily Mail points out the music superstars’ fondness for blue, not the least of which extends to Blue Ivy, the name of their daughter. Perhaps more telling is the refrigerator installed in the opening rear deck. The Telegraph mentions the refrigerator is designed to chill Armand de Brignac champagne at a specific temperature. It’s the client’s favorite according to Rolls-Royce, and it just so happens that Jay-Z is part owner of the brand. There’s also the nautical theme itself, as the superstars are known to frequent the French Riveria, both on land and sea.
After that, we see that there’s little more. The reports I have seen say this is the most expensive car in the world, a one of one. I know Jay-Z is a billionaire now, but I am not sure he was allocate this much money to a singular item like a car. I also could be very wrong.
The reality star took to the witness stand in Los Angeles on Tuesday as part of Chyna’s defamation trial against the Kardashian family, who she has accused of sabotaging her career by getting the spin-off show “Rob & Chyna”.cancelled after one season.
During her testimony, Kim said she had no memory of trying to cancel the spin-off but acknowledged that she didn’t want Chyna to appear on the main show, abbreviated to “KUWTK,” after the model was allegedly violent towards her then-fiancé Rob in December 2016.
“I will not go into a toxic work environment,” Kim said of her refusal to work with Chyna, who occasionally appeared on ‘KUWTK’ before the incident, reports The Associated Press. “On my own show, I have the power to do that.”
The 41-year-old testified for an hour and spent much of that time stating, “I don’t remember.”
She was presented with a series of text messages she sent in late 2016 and early 2017 and said she didn’t recall sending them.
However, she acknowledged that one text sent to a producer at Bunim Murray, which produces both shows, sounded like something she would write.
“I think we all need to take a break from filming at this point until we figure out what’s going on. She is not going to be on our show,” the text read. “So if you guys are going to film with ‘Rob and Chyna,’ and then you are going to lose the Kardashians and Jenners.”
The beauty mogul said she and her family didn’t have the power to cancel “Rob & Chyna” but were able to withhold their own participation in “KUWTK.”
She stated, “I have a right as a cast member to say we really need a break.”
Her sister Khloé Kardashian also testified on Tuesday and some of her emails were presented in court.
She said she wanted to protect Rob from Chyna’s “outrageous” and “violent” behavior and added, “We were all considering not being a part of such toxicity.”
Khloé allegedly sent an email to an executive at the E! network expressing her concern that Chyna was bad for the family’s brand.
In another email, she allegedly wrote, “We are even considering not moving forward with our show if theirs continues, that’s how strongly we feel this is damaging to our family.”
Kim and Khloé are the defendants in Chyna’s lawsuit along with their mother Kris Jenner and half-sister Kylie Jenner. Kris and Kylie have already testified. The trial continues.
For her performance, Doja was joined by gospel artist Shonka Dukureh, who will appear in Baz Luhrmann’s film as Big Mama Thornton and is also set to contribute to the soundtrack.
“The soundtrack features Elvis’s extraordinary body of work spanning the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s, while also celebrating his diverse musical influences and enduring impact on popular artists today,” a rep for RCA Records commented.
“Vegas” is set for release on streaming platforms on May 6th.
The Drama Hour was where I used to get all my hardcore raps and saw the streets of New York for what it was. And that was Kay Slay the Drama King’s doing. The program ran for over 20 long years on Hot 97. Well, as you know, Slay died a little over a week ago from Covid-19. He fought for four long months, but ultimately died. We are continuing his legacy in a number of ways.
Papoose, the one-time young upstart MC and Kay Slay protégée, is now the host of the Drama Hour. I suppose they decided to jumpstart the important show again as a celebration. In the first show, Pap brought in Rick Ross for a chat and he made it clear they are uplifting the 55-year old Hip-Hop DJ/ magazine publisher and graffiti writer.
I am not sure if this is going to be forever or just for the here and now in-tribute show. I actually think if would be good to keep it going. New York could use that burst of energy and since energy never dies, let it be Kay Slay energy!
This new rap world is getting stranger and stranger for us lovers of the culture. The main reason is that I just love music and then come the stars of Hip-Hop. But it never lead with beef. That was just means to get to the dope music that we love. Nowadays, it is just beef. Ol illseed is no longer a seed.
Anyway, this isn’t about me. This is about Lil Durk, Tekashi69 and somebody pretending to be Lil Durk. We call the latter “Fake Lil Durk” to keep it simple. Anyway, Durk did some stuff with the Fake Lil Durk in his video. It was fun and cool.
Well, the Fake Lil Durk may have messed up his good thing. Nevertheless, he made a weird denial. He says he was ambushed.
“This was never supposed to happen. Like, never. I was literally supposed to collab with Steve Will Do It. Like I literally wanted to collab with Steve Will Do It because he hit me up first,” he said. Also, there was some weird whispering in the background as if somebody was prepping him.
Steve Will Do It said the dude knew what was going on. “I don’t even know this guy before today. We wanna see the DMS!!!!. He knew exactly what he was getting into,” he said. UH OK.
This is all pretty childish. Here is the original interaction on IG.
The kid looks like he was completely unaware of what was going on. He even looks a bit scared. And he should be. This is weird to me. How do they have time for these kiddie games? How do they get the “drop” on this kid like this? Is this a special benefit from being down with the special opps? I know! Apparently, he was blessed with $7,000 to do this and 6ix9ine has the receipts. Show them!
No word from Durk on all of this, but I would assume he wants nothing to do with anybody that has touched 6ix9ine.
Tupac Amaru Shakur (aka 2Pac) became a cultural icon worthy of being immortalized in an art installation. The Tupac Shakur Wake Me When I’m Free exhibit showcases the late emcee/actor/activist’s music, poetry, and never-before-seen artifacts.
The Shakur Estate-sanctionedWake Me When I’m Free launched in January. WMWIF planned to end its run in Los Angeles on May 1. However, organizers extended the “sensory experience” inside a 20,000-square-foot space until July 4.
Additionally, WMWIF offers free tickets to public school groups and their chaperones. Los Angeles Unified Superintendent Alberto M. Carvalho recently visited the exhibition with more than 70 students from across the L.A. district.
“Inspired, powerful, meaningful: These are just a few of the words our students used to describe the exhibit Tupac Shakur Wake Me When I’m Free after our visit,” states Superintendent Carvalho. “These students joined our test pilot for the Los Angeles Unified Cultural Arts Passport, a new program to provide all students with access to arts and cultural enrichment.”
Before his death in September 1996, 2Pac released the classic hip Hop albums Me Against the World in 1995 and All Eyez on Me in 1996. The posthumous The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory dropped in 1996 as well. Pac was just 25 years old at the time of his passing. His murder is still unsolved.
Round Room Live, CAA, Universal Music Group, and Kinfolk Management + Media partnered together to produce Tupac Shakur Wake Me When I’m Free. Nwaka Onwusa and Jeremy Hodges collaborated on curating WMWIF.

Calboy has a lot to say about Meek Mill. After parting ways with the Dream Chasers camp, the Chicago-bred rapper is now sharing his thoughts about the DC leader.
Previously, Calboy explained why he fired Dream Chasers as his management team. Cal claimed Meek Mill refused to sign off on the “Chariot” music video because the visuals would somehow tarnish his image. Chart-topping rap stars Lil Durk and Young Thug appear on the song too.
“In the label’s view, it’s like, ‘Yo, your manager’s not gonna play? They’re slowing your momentum down?’ And they really stood on that, and I blamed [Meek Mill] for that. So I fired them,” stated Calboy.
In the latest installment of his VladTV interview, Calboy recalled the last time he supposedly spoke to Meek Mill on the phone. The “Envy Me” rapper also admitted to taking a shot at Meek on social media prior to that conversation.
Calboy continued, “I think somebody made a post on it and I reacted to that post. I think Wack [100] or somebody said something, so I commented. Then I said, ‘Look at the police playing with the police.’ That’s cause I was mad at him though like I’ll just let this sneak diss off.”
The Wildboy EP creator also added, “So [Meek] called me like, ‘Cal, I know you gang, what you on?’ I said, ‘Man, stop calling me bro, you’re tweaking. You know what it is.’ Then I hung up on him. He called me back like, ‘Folk, you’re tweaking.’ He hung up on me.”
Calboy said Meek Mill is “cool,” but he suggested the Roc Nation affiliate is also “self-centered” and “inconsiderate.” In addition, Cal admitted to leaking the “Chariot” video which also hurt his business relationship with Meek and Dream Chasers.

R&B vocalist Monica took part in the 2022 Country Music Television Awards on April 11. She joined Jimmie Allen and Little Big Town for a live rendition of “Pray.”
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier star Anthony Mackie served as one of the hosts for this year’s CMT Awards, along with Kelsea Ballerini and Kane Brown. Apparently, one right-wing commentator had a problem with the amount of Black talent at the show.
Right Wing Watch reposted a clip of Patrick Howley expressing his displeasure that the CMTs featured so many African-Americans. The former Breitbart News Network reporter took specific aim at Mackie.
Progressive Groups Call Patrick Howley A Racist, White Nationalist
“I don’t know who this Black guy who’s hosting it. It’s supposed to be Country music. No offense. I mean, y’all have Hip Hop and basketball,” said Patrick Howley. “Just fly with your flock, bro.”
Howley added, “No disrespect to the funky brothers of music. I love Earth, Wind & Fire, Run DMC, etc. But Country music’s different. Country music’s different, it’s not Wakanda.”

Monica got wind of Patrick Howley’s comments and responded on Instagram. She uploaded a screenshot of an article covering the QAnon-affiliated content creator. In her caption, Monica shouted out Anthony Mackie as well.
The “Angel of Mine” singer wrote:
I’ve never been more motivated.. Patrick Howley, although your feelings are likely shared by some, it’s NOT by the masses! Singer/actor Jamie Foxx was not a fan of Stephen A. Smith’s commentary about NBA player Ben Simmons. On an episode ofFirst Take, Smith slammed Simmons for not playing for the Brooklyn Nets in the playoffs.
“Ben Simmons might also be the weakest, most pathetic excuse for a professional athlete we have ever seen in, not just American history, but the history of sports,” stated Stephen A. Smith on his ESPN show.
Jamie Foxx defended Simmons on social media. The Oscar winner blasted Smith for his takedown of the 25-year-old former Rookie of the Year winner.
“That is completely unfair @bensimmons has a family this man has people that love him and this man just plays basketball but to be dragged through the mud like this is unfair,” wrote Jamie Foxx on Instagram.
Foxx added, “Why is it @stephenasmith you only go at basketball players… You [are] completely mute when it comes to the Tom Bradys [and] the Aaron Rodgers of the world… You get where I’m going… stop it bruh it’s out of bounds.”
Stephen A. Smith Doubles Down On Calling Ben Simmons’s Actions Pathetic
Stephen A. Smith responded to Jamie Foxx on another First Take episode. After referring to Foxx as a friend and claiming he spoke to the comedian on the phone, Smith went on to fire back at his “brother” on television.
“I would caution everyone to understand Jamie Foxx has no credibility when it comes to sports,” declared Stephen A. Smith. “You do know why right? He’s a [Dallas] Cowboys fan. He has no credibility.”
The sports journalist added, “Jamie Foxx knows better. He’s just highly protective of the Black athletes, as he should be because they deserve our protection, to be quite honest with you, in a lot of situations.”
Stephen A. Smith then listed several Caucasian sports figures, such as Steve Kerr and Tim Tebow, that he has criticized. Smith also stated, “I said [Ben Simmons] ain’t gonna play Monday. Watch. And sure enough, he proved it. And then his agent and his family and himself gonna show up in Brooklyn.”
The 54-year-old outspoken NBA analyst continued, “And what is their explanation? It’s mental health, again. I thought it was his back. It’s all over the place. What I’m saying is, when you point those things out, and you talk about how egregious or pathetic it is, that’s it. It is what it is.”
Tim Westwood has spoken after he was accused of multiple allegations of groping and predatory sexual behaviour.
The veteran DJ said he “strongly rejects all allegations of wrongdoing” following an investigation led by the BBC and the Guardian. Seven young women in their late teens and early twenties claimed he abused his position in the music industry to take advantage of them. The investigations found allegations of misconduct by Tim Westwood dating back to 1992, with the most recent incident occurring in 2017.
A statement from a representative said: “Tim Westwood strongly denies all allegations of inappropriate behaviour. In a career that has spanned 40 years, there have never been any complaints made against him officially or unofficially.” The rep added, “Tim Westwood strongly rejects all allegations of wrongdoing.”
Three women accuse the 64-year-old DJ of opportunistic and predatory sexual behaviour after meeting with them on a professional basis. The alleged victims were 17, 19 and 20 at the time of the incidents.
Four other women allege Tim Westwood groped them while posing for pictures at events. The women have all chosen to remain anonymous.
The documentary Tim Westwood: Abuse of Power aired on BBC Three on Tuesday (Apr. 26). A statement from the network read: “The BBC is against all forms of inappropriate behaviour and we are shocked to hear of these allegations. The BBC has strict codes of conduct for all those engaged by the BBC, including on-air presenters.”
Tim Westwood was accused of preying on his young Black female fans back in 2020, as reported by AllHipHop. He denied the allegations and was forced to issue a statement once the allegations spread on social media.
Killer Mike said the government must do better when it comes to righting the wrongs of the war on drugs.
The entrepreneur rapper responded to the news that the Biden administration granted clemency to over 70 inmates convicted of low-level drug offenses or non-violent crimes.
President Biden has granted clemency to 78 individuals — all of whom were convicted of low-level drug offenses or nonviolent crimes. Three people were pardoned, and 75 received commutations of their sentences.
He told TMZ that they should have released “quadruple” the number of prisoners, and more needs to be done.
Killer Mike explained that he believes non-violent drug offenders “should be first priority to get the state license” to enable them to open cannabis dispensaries. He believes that’s the only way the feds can “repent for a drug war gone terribly wrong.”
He went on to say that those that will make “billions” in profit from the cannabis industry “owe the people that were outlawed and paved the way.”
Killer Mike has a new docuseries centered around the evolution of cannabis culture and legalization and believes it should be legal for adults to consume.
“You are an adult; no one can tell you what type of corn to buy or put in your mouth. Even alcohol — which is sugar and alcohol and much worse for you than marijuana,” he explained during a recent interview. “I think marijuana should be legal from day one for adult usage. It should be up to you what you put inside your body and out.
Meanwhile, Michael “Killer Mike” Render revealed he and El-P “were in the studio together,” cooking up. “We may have messed around and started ‘Run The Jewels 5’. So we’ll see what happens.”
