Chika has startled her fans with a post that suggests that she may try taking her own life.

The Grammy-nominated singer/rapper made a lengthy post on Instagram that rang out like a precursor to suicide.

Chika has long wrestled with the rigors of the music industry. Last year, she “retired” from music due to the “mental toll” it took on her. At that time, she also expressed the cruelties of social media. She last released new music in March of 2021.

In the post, she said she is exploring her options.

“i went to the top of the intercontinental, but could not jump. not because i don’t want to, but because the metal stairs were scary,” she said, “it looks like crying wolf, but it’s not. it’s just difficult to find the right way. the quickest way. the painless way. i am tired of myself too.”

Fan and music industry types posted uplifting messages for the 25-year old creative.

Is Lola Brooke The Next Queen Of Brooklyn? Check This Interview!

Lil Kim said it best … Brooklyn is the home of the greatest rappers.

There is a legacy in the borough that has curated extraordinary emcees, some that you’ve heard of and some that will forever be lore of the streets.

Biggie. Jay-Z. Fab. AZ. Big Daddy Kane. Joey Badazz. Pop Smoke.

While we can go on and on about the dudes out of Kings County, we can’t forget the females’ impact in the space. MC Lyte. Foxy Brown. Again, Lil Kim and now Lola Brooke.

Straight out of Bedford-Stuyvesant, the pint-size emcee brings more to the table than good looks and a rugged flow. Lola is a complete artist — with a pen, versatile style, and desire to be great. No … scratch that. A desire to be extraordinary.

Just ask her, and she will tell that she is the child of DMX and Lil Kim, two of Hip-Hop’s most extraordinary artists.

Kim’s name comes up a lot with Lola because she seems to be carrying the torch in her honor. The only difference is, there is no male crew behind her.

What she does have is a whole hood, rooting for her to win.
In an exclusive interview with AllHipHop.com’s Nikki Duncan-Smith, she talks about her journey, her process in the booth, celebrates a few milestones in her career (this year she appeared on four stages at SXSW, one of the most respected music festivals in the world) and talks about scamming to get a little person’s check with Lil Nikki (who is taller than she by ¼ inch).

Rapper Ksoo Indicted By Grand Jury; Upgraded Charges For Two Murders

A grand jury has indicted rapper Ksoo for first-degree murder in two cases.

The artist, whose real name is Hakeem Robinson, is alleged to have killed Adrian Gainer (aka Bibby) in February 2019 and Charles McCormick (aka Lil Buck) in January 2020.

Police believe the Jacksonville native murdered the two men during separate gang-related events.

Ksoo has been in on locked in Duval County jail for close to two years ago in September 2020, after being charged with Buck’s death earlier in the year.

The rapper’s record label, Cinematic Music Group, stepped up to pay his bond, but while he was in jail, law enforcement hit him with a charge for Bibby’s death in 2019.

They alleged that Ksoo shot Bibby at the Hilltop Village Apartments on West 45th Street.

A week before the indictment for the two murders, Ksoo appeared for a bond hearing in a Duval Court. The question of who was going to cough up a $4 million bond to get him out of jail was raised.

Ksoo’s lawyers wanted the rapper’s bond lowered. Ksoo told the judge that he had no income because he was incarcerated.
.
The prosecution played his 2021 song and video “Been Dead,” where Ksoo brags about killing people to further justify the high bond.

Cinematic Music Group boss CEO Jonny Shipes was willing to put up some money towards the hefty bond before the indictment came down.

Abdul Robinson Jr, Ksoo’s brother, was also indicted for first-degree murder for one of the men. The two men’s father, Abdul Robinson Sr., is charged with being an accessory to at least one of the crimes.

This story is developing.

Rising Rapper/DJ/Musical Artist Behrang Khorsandian aka Understandthegame Is A Vetted Force In The Music Industry

Behrang Khorsandian, a 36-year-old American rapper, is striving to accomplish what few people have done before him:

Hip-hop music and culture were founded on bringing unvarnished awareness of oppressed groups’ challenges to a wider audience. Still, it has yet to address mental health issues, even though they disproportionately affect low-income communities and people of color. However, that may be about to differ, thanks to Generation Z. Behrang Khorsandian, a 36-year-old American rapper, is striving to accomplish what few people have done before him:

  •  Unashamedly raise the veil on mental health in the Hip Hop culture.
  •  Share his experiences.
  •  Bring hope to others.

Behrang began singing at a young age, performing at family gatherings and American community events. Behrang Khorsandian grew up in America. Behrang Khorsandian wants other young people to feel as comfortable asking for help as he did.

Behrang strives to be a forward-thinking artist who never compromises his values. He’s always paid honor to his ancestors, and it’s one of the main reasons for his influence’s success. Fans want to connect with musicians outside of their music, and Behrang does an excellent job at it. The music industry has reached saturation point. Because many companies promote new musicians weekly, producers must pay special attention to their songs’ construction to stay nuanced and visible in a fast-paced music market.

Even though many performers have had failures in recent years, Behrang Khorsandian has kept an upbeat approach from the start. This season, he honed his skills to add to his ever-growing 2022 collection. Behrang is undeniably a game-changer, a surefire talent who is quickly gaining acclaim, and one thing is certain: his star strength will continue to climb.

His recent studio endeavors have seen him explore unexplored imaginative possibilities, blending unusual sounds while staying true to his roots. He’s a huge effect on individuals in his orbit because he’s young, enthusiastic, and passionate. Behrang Khorsandian has a natural capacity to connect with audiences by purposefully integrating themes of love, nostalgia, and dreamy lyrics (yet remaining uncompromisingly nuanced) in his music that many find relatable.

Behrang Khorsandian is getting ready to break some records in 2022. He is committed to giving his readers genuine and unique stuff.

Even though Behrang appears to have appeared out of nowhere, he was not an overnight sensation. “I have worked relentlessly day in and day out to get to the place where I am now,” Behrang says. Some may believe that I acquired all this overnight, but it has been a long process of honing my trade. I consider myself to be a perfectionist. I like my music to sound a certain way, so getting the final product to sound the way I want it is a detailed process for me.”

Behrang Khorsandian has an unreleased record vault that he’s been methodically preparing for release in the new year–the long-awaited suspense has his fans on the edge of their seats–and 2022 will be a game-changer for him. Cardi B Scores Legal Victory In MAGA Defamation Lawsuit

Cardi B secured another legal victory, this time with her sister Hennessy Carolina.

According to TMZ, a judge dismissed a defamation lawsuit against the Billboard chart-topper and her sister. Three people sued the diamond-selling rapper and Hennessy Carolina for labeling the trio as racist.

Cardi B put the apparent Trump supporters on blast after they confronted her sister at Smith Point Beach in New York. Hennessy Carolina captured a video of the altercation, which involved one man wearing a MAGA hat.

Although Cardi B wasn’t present during the incident, the MAGA crew sued her for sharing the clip on social media. She said the Trump supporters harassed her sister and model Michelle Diaz since they were an “Afro/Hispanic gay couple.”

https://twitter.com/iamcardib/status/1302749388213637121

A New York judge sided with Cardi B and her sister, noting that general insults don’t constitute defamation. The court also dismissed the trio’s assault and battery claims, which they brought forth over Hennessy Carolina allegedly spitting at them. The judge determined there was no evidence to prove Hennessy Carolina intended to spit at them.

Earlier this year, Cardi B won a separate defamation lawsuit against vlogger Tasha K. A jury awarded her over $4 million in the case. Tasha K, whose real name is Latasha Kebe, filed an appeal in March.

50 Cent Mocks The Game After Jimmy Iovine Alleged Snub At Lakers Game; Compton Rapper Replies

50 Cent revisited an old beef by clowning The Game on Instagram.

The G-Unit leader dissed his former collaborator after Interscope Records co-founder Jimmy Iovine snubbed The Game at a Los Angeles Lakers game. 50 Cent trolled his friend-turned-foe by sharing a clip of Iovine avoiding The Game inside the Crypto.com Arena.

“LOL The Man didn’t even look at him,” he wrote in the caption. “Get this guy out of here 50 wrote the records. LMFAO @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi.”

The post referenced recent claims by Wack 100, who said The Game ghostwrote for 50 Cent. Wack 100, who manages The Game, insinuated the song “What Up Gangsta?” was ghostwritten in a conversation on Clubhouse.

Earlier this month, The Game warned 50 Cent about reigniting their intense feud. The West Coast rapper addressed his longtime rival after the Power executive producer scoffed at the notion of Kanye West doing more for The Game’s career than Dr. Dre.

“Last time you did this with me, G-Unit clothing got put in a casket wit the entire group & you went into television,” The Game wrote via Twitter. “I like Power n s###…. leave it alone. I’m back outside.”

The bad blood between 50 Cent and The Game has calmed down over the years, but it got violent in the past. An infamous shootout occurred outside of the Hot 97 radio station in 2005.

Gunfire erupted after 50 Cent kicked The Game out of G-Unit. Kevin Reed, who’s affiliated with The Game, was injured but survived the shooting.

So it is no surprise that Game wasted no time in clapping back with some insults of his own in 50 Cent’s comment section.

“N####, I ain’t even see Mr. Burns.. & if you wrote my records… write you one today & put it out n#### !!! Your rap career died wit them loli pop strap tank tops 🍭.. you a actor, n that’s why you ran to tv,” Game snarled. “Give us season 2 of that Tommy b####### & leave this rap s### to n##### who can spell correctly & actually got bars goofy n#### !!! #HeGoneDeleteThisCommentInTheCar.”

Just as Game predicted, 50 Cent deleted the clip.

Freddie Gibbs Thinks His N-Word Controversy Conversation With Joe Rogan Will Go Down In History

Freddie Gibbs opened up about his defense of Joe Rogan, who recently faced backlash for using the N-word and making racist comments.

In an interview with Vulture, Freddie Gibbs suggested he deserves more credit for speaking with Joe Rogan about the issue face-to-face. The veteran emcee also claimed their conversation was historic.

“I feel like n##### didn’t give me enough m############ credit for going on there and spanking Joe Rogan and telling him he can’t say n####,” he said. “People take that s### for granted. I stood up on behalf of Black people. They’re going to write that s### in the history books!”

The Grammy-nominated rapper appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast after a montage of the comedian using the N-word resurfaced and spread on social media. Freddie Gibbs defended Joe Rogan but advised the comic to do more than just apologize.

Freddie Gibbs told Vulture the podcaster will follow through by making donations to atone for the offensive remarks.

“Joe is a real dude,” Freddie Gibbs said. “He’s going to do it. I got some projects he’s going to be a part of — a basketball initiative, some art-gallery opportunities. Joe ain’t just doing this because I told him to. He really wants to redeem himself and do some good stuff in the community. And that’s the point because we could cancel Joe Rogan, but then what the f### use would we have for him? We have to have conversations and move forward with s###.”

3Fortiori Talks About Their Come Up And New Single “Start Me Up”

Today, up-and-coming pop/hip-hop duo, 3Fortiori, release new single “Start Me Up” off of their upcoming EP Jump Out The Flame, arriving end of April.

The group releases the single on the heels of their last release, “Jump Out The Flame,” also off of their forthcoming project Jump Out The Flame. On the track, Wyatt and Feek lock into a volley of hypnotic verses and drop hooks with knockout power, fusing their distinct vibes with focus and fire.

3Fortiori is an American Pop/Hip Hop duo consisting of Feek and Wyatt originating from Broward County, Florida. Best friends with the same dedication towards their craft, they channel the chemistry of a lifelong friendship into a dynamic and diverse approach to pop and hip-hop. Before landing a deal, the duo racked up 30 million-plus total streams independently and attracted a diehard following.

Their independent success caught the attention of legendary engineer Marcella Araica and GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Danja [Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Nelly Furtado]. In 2020, they were signed to NMG and hit Dream Asylum Studios.

AllHipHop: What is the story behind “Start Me Up”? What inspired you to write it?

3Fortiori: “Start Me Up” was one of those records that just came to us so naturally. I remember when we first heard the beat it reminded us of some type of jungle adventure. We wanted the song to feel fun and energetic, but also like an action scene. Definitely a vibe.

AllHipHop: You’ll be revealing your “Start Me Up” video, what can we expect from the visuals?

3Fortiori: The visuals ARE a crazy mix of simplicity, but trippy visual effects. It’s almost as if the video is in a dream and we are just going crazy. It’s one of those videos that no matter what, you want to watch it over and over again. You might notice something you didn’t see the first time.

AllHipHop: Describe your sound, what is your vibe?

3Fortiori: Our sound overall is something we don’t think can be put into a box. We’re able to be melodic, but still keep high energy vocals and witty lyrics. We definitely bring something different to the table every time. but it still always sounds like us.

AllHipHop: Who do you get inspo from?

3Fortiori: Artists that inspire us are the Kanye’s, Drake,Tyler The Creator, Travis Scott. It’s all about being creative and being different and not letting anyone tell you what you can and can’t do, I think those artist represent that at the highest level.

AllHipHop: What are your plans for the upcoming months?

3Fortiori: We want to keep putting out this music and crazy visuals. We have been super creative lately and we don’t want to hold anything back. We’re really excited about everything we’ve been working on.

AllHipHop: Any artist collaborations in the works?

3Fortiori: Not right now, we’re just focused on building the brand. The dope thing about being a duo is it feels like every song we put out always has a featuring… featuring ourselves 340GANG.

AllHipHop: How did you guys begin creating music together?

3Fortiori: We’ve been best friends since middle school and always had great chemistry, but it wasn’t till around the end of high school we started experimenting with music. Ever since then, we fell in love with the art and now here we are.

AllHipHop: What advice would you give to someone who just started their career?

3Fortiori: Be you and do you. Everyone’s always gonna have an opinion but always remember that’s just what it is: an opinion. If you believe in yourself and you believe in your art, you can literally do anything. Just put the work in and let time do its thing. You’re already great, just keep going.

AllHipHop: If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?

3Fortiori: Probably Drake. He’s the biggest artist of our generation. If anyone could collaborate with anyone , he’s probably the first on most people’s list. But we will for sure get it one day.

Soulja Boy Custom Sneakers Rejected By TMZ’s Harvey Levin!

So, is Big Draco a modernized Renaissance Man? Well, he is effectively establishing himself in an array of industries. Additionally, he is even delving into the world of Fashion. However, a pair of customized Soulja Boy sneakers were recently rejected by TMZ’s Harvey Levin!

Both, inside and outside of the booth, the ATLien readily demonstrates his passion. Thus far, his loyal approach to business proves successful. However, is the “Goin Down” entrepreneur destined for footwear prosperity?

Well, judging by Levin’s response, the rapper may have to transform his gifting technique. Or, perhaps it is the Soulja Stars marketing approach that needs a bit of assistance.

Regardless, of the reason why, Harvey hurriedly declined the present. Be that as it may, the entire exchange retains its jovial nature. Of course, one man’s opinion does not dictate the trajectory the “Goin Down” artist’s entire brand.

A post shared by 2Cool2Blog (@2cool2bl0g)

Back, on Wednesday (March 23), the failed attempt transpired. After chilling at the TMZ offices, Mr. Sneaky Link brought out the proposed present. Of course, a pair of green colorways were stashed away.

Nonetheless, no means, No. A perplexed Harvey is seen holding the shoes. “I know you got nieces and nephews or something,” suggests Soulja Boy. To which, Harvey poses the following question.

“Do you know what would happen if I wore these?” Soon, the incredulous boss matter-of-factly suggests, “They would tear me apart in here.” Regardless of his resistance, the hit-maker persists.

“You gotta put them in the closet at least,” says Soulja. Finally Levin jokes, “I’ve stopped putting sh*t in the closet a long time ago.”

Canibus Discusses New Pete Rock Produced EP “C”

This week Tim talks to Canibus about his new EP, “C”(produced by Pete Rock), lyricism, music, and his personal journey. The legendary rapper also discusses what he’s learned from his past and why we should stop living in it.

“A lot of my older stuff is a lot of ego and that’s why sometimes I hear it now and people are like ‘that was my favorite. Can you just go back to doing that?’ They don’t understand,” Canibus explained.

“No disrespect to what stages people are at in their life.. they don’t even understand, how the f### am I going to talk like that now at 48 years old?.. It’s hard for me to do a deep dive on the one material because I really don’t think like that anymore,” Canibus said.

Check out this incredible, must-see interview.

Lil Xan Hospitalized For Severe Psychiatric Breakdown?

Often, music corporations merely view Rap artists as disposable assets. So, the individual is essentially responsible to ensure one’s well-being. Recently, Lil Xan speaks about being hospitalized for a severe psychiatric breakdown.

On Wednesday (March 24), the “Betrayed’ rapper voiced his angst. Through his Instagram stories, he goes on to make a startling update. In fact, he opens up about being hospitalized on a “5150 hold.”

https://www.instagram.com/p/CbPBpQeOeFw/

Indeed, the embattled entertainer shows his vulnerability. Moreover, this type of restrictive protocol allows, “the action of a doctor, mental health professional, police officer, or even a family member, involuntarily committing someone to a mental health treatment facility,” as states FindLaw.com.

In recent past, Xanax discussed his overwhelming addiction. Anxiety lead to absolute indulgence. Additionally, he alleges that his former manager, Stat Quo, recklessly enabled his drug dependence.

A post shared by DJ Akademiks (@akademiks)

To boot, the “Slingshot” spitter says the negative ramifications eventually shattered his psyche. Unable to accept his interpretation of the public’s view of him, Lil Xan mentally unravels. “CRAZY EVER SINCE I SPOKE OUT AGAINST THE INDUSTRY SO MANY FALSE NARRATIVE VIDEOS ABOUT ME START SURFACING ON THE INTERNET LIKE WILDFIRE,” he shares.

Finally, he equates that the incessant (perhaps imagined) inquiries are “AFFECTING” his “MENTAL HEALTH. Another post offers further insight. “DIDNT WANT TO EVEN LET PEOPLE KNOW HOW BAD IT WAS AFFECTING MY MENTAL HEALTH BUT I FEEL I SHOULD BEEN IN THE HOSPITAL ON A 51/50,” it reads.

“PLEASE STOP SPEAKING ABOUT ME IF YOU DONT KNOW ME IM A HUMAN BEING JUST LIKE YOU,” begs Mr. Total Xanarchy.

Hopefully, in the near future the “Rebound” rhymer can do just that.

According to TMZ, the No Limit founder has used his resources to help families in his hometown challenged by the recent onslaught of deadly tornados that devastated New Orleans on Tuesday, March 22nd.

The twister ran through NOLA, flipped over cars, ripped the roofs of homes, injured multiple people, and killed at least one person.

“New Orleans is stronger together … it’s time to clean up and rebuild. We have done this so many times we have to be thankful for life,” P stated.

The mogul’s organization “Team Hope” has 25 people out in the area. They have already helped over 100 families in the 9th Ward.

The team is passing out supplies essential for survival and is paying particular attention to seniors who need help filling out forms.

Master P, whose real name is Percy Miller, also has his team cleaning up and salvaging wrecked homes.

This is not new to Master P. Last year, during Hurricane Ida, he was able to give out water to people in need.

The mogul owns the LA Great Water brand and was able to tap in to extend his resources to the less fortunate.

Tupac’s Poems, Rock Steady Artifacts Expected To Fetch Millions At Sotheby’s Auction

Tupac Shakur continues to cash in the big bucks.

At least, that is what is expected with the Sotheby auctioning off a collection of the artist’s poetry from his childhood and other highly sought-after hip-hop artifacts.

The auction house believes Pac’s poetry might pull in at least $300K when it puts up a book of haikus written by the rapper when he was a kid at its “The Art and Influence of Hip Hop” sale, which kicked off on Thursday (March 24th).

Other names in Sotheby’s “Art and Influence of Hip Hop” include but are not limited to Chuck D, Jazzy Jay, Ice T, Danny Hastings, and Rock Steady Crew founder Crazy Legs.

“It’s time for some of these gems to be appreciated by someone else. I hope they end up in the hands of someone who is willing to take care of them and share with others,” Crazy Legs told AllHipHop.com.

Tupac’s lot will feature an unpublished booklet of haikus written and illustrated by him when he was only 11 years old.

He gifted the book to his godfather Jamal Joseph, a filmmaker and youth advocate responsible for creating the performance group “Impact” featured in the movie August Rush when the Black Panther activist was incarcerated at Leavenworth Prison.

The pre-teen also had the vision and respect to dedicate the piece to three other revolutionaries from the Black Panther members: Chui Ferguson-El, Sekou Odinga, and Bilal Sunni Ali.

On the opening page, he explains to his baba that “Haiku is a Japanese form to write poems. The form is 5 syllables, 7 syllables, and again 5 syllables. [And] mostly about life and nature.”

The dream poem is brilliantly presented as the young poet draws himself dreaming in his bed of his Black power heroes being liberated.

He ends the collection of poems, writing, “I hoped you enjoyed my haiku.”

And he is reminding his godfather to “Be Strong” and that he loves him. He signed it “Tupac Shakur. Future Freedom Fighter.”

A few of the haikus in Tupac’s book read as follows:

Faith

Faith is what we need

It keeps us alive day by day

Faith is important

Black

Black is our color

We were born Black in Africa

I am Black and proud

A dream is lovely

You drift to another land

I dream at night
