Janet Jackson On MJ’s Alleged Verbal Abuse: “It Would Hurt”

The Jacksons are American royalty. As with any iconic family, many of its relationships are complicated. Recently, Janet Jackson speaks out on the alleged verbal abuse she endured. She claims that, her older brother MJ — Michael Jackson, The King of Pop — of the teasing “it would hurt.”

First off, Ms. Jackson readily asserts that one of her cherished family nicknames is “Dunk.” In particular, it is short for donkey. Furthermore, this euphemistic phrase once describes the physical build of the youngest Jackson prodigy.

However, as time progresses she shares that her older brother’s constant criticism causes her pain. Specifically, “there were times when Mike used to tease me and call me names,” she confesses. Then the “Control” crooner adds more to her explanation.

Soon, she describes more of the nasty names. These monikers include “Pig, Horse, Slaughter hog [and] cow.” Moreover, within the upcoming documentary, JANET JACKSON, the Pop princess offers up more insight. “He would laugh about it and I’d laugh, too. But, then there was somewhere down inside that it would hurt.”

Ultimately, the anticipated expose will debut in two-parts. Additionally, besides her strained relationship with Mike Jack, an array of other subjects will be covered. Besides her relationship with her legendary brother, Ms. Unbreakable will give unprecedented access into her life.

Nick Cannon Explains Why He Doesn’t Use Sex Toys: I See That As Competition

Television personality/part-time rapper Nick Cannon is well-established as a lover of women. The Drumline star has six children with multiple mothers, and he openly discusses sex on his daily daytime talk show.

On a recent episode of The Nick Cannon Show, the outspoken comedian presented a “Man Panel.” Cannon used the segment to speak about why he is not into using adult products in the bedroom.

“If a woman wants to bring a toy to the bed, I see that as competition. Just me, personally,” said Nick Cannon. “I’m a pleaser and if I’m not the one pleasing, then I don’t need another object in the room because I’m trying to be as sensual and as connected as possible. That, to me, is a distraction.”

Previously, Nick Cannon admitted during another edition of the “Man Panel” that he feels anxious about being completely naked while being intimate. The 41-year-old Howard University graduate confessed his life-long skinny frame led to body insecurity.

Cannon is also set to be part of the forthcoming sixth season of Kevin Hart’s Real Husbands Of Hollywood. The six-installment limited series will premiere on Tyler Perry Studios and the BET network’s BET+ streaming platform.

Earlier this week, Nick Cannon went viral for his unique #MoneyChallenge post. The Masked Singer host warned the Internal Revenue Service is paying attention to anyone sharing photos of their cash money on social media.

Gucci Mane Fires Shots at Jeezy’s Dead Homie On “Rumors”

Through his actions, as a man, Gucci Mane, continues to evolve. Be that as it may, Big Guwop, still remembers. Countless experiences — both right and wrong — continue to mold his character. In fact, on his new track, “Rumors,” Gucci Mane Fires Shots. Jeezy’s late homeboy, Pookie Loc, is still in the line of fire.

In the past, there has been many acrimonious interactions between Gucci Mane and Jeezy. Ultimately, a creative clash lead to a loss of life. Although, back in 2020, the pair reunited with an epic Verzuz battle. However, the lingering angst is still alive.

Even though, Lil Durk hops on the song to expand its insight, Mr. Zone 6, vehemently speaks his mind. With “Rumors,” the Trap God offers relentless wordplay. Matter-of-factly he mentions, “D.A. dropped my murder, didn’t have evidence to prove it (Nah) / I think my house is haunted, yeah, by who? The ghost of Pookie (Woah).”

For instance, many Hip-Hop critics may cite this an example of Black-on-Black Violence; or, even genocide. Even, Tupac explains, “genocide is when we ride on our own kind.” Still, the “Lemonade” rhymer possesses the God-given right to defend his life.

Thus, he proves that he is more Malcolm than Martin.

Smokey Robinson Co-Signs Gunna’s “Pushin P” Movement

Gunna’s new DS4Ever album reached the top of the Billboard 200 chart. The project hosts the “Pushin P” collaboration with Future and Young Thug.

“Pushin P” not only peaked at #7 on the Hot 100 chart, but the song also sparked an internet meme using the 🅿️ emoji. R&B legend Smokey Robinson jumped on the craze as well.

On Tuesday evening, Smokey Robinson tweeted, “Keepin’ it 🅿️.” The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer also posted a 2-second clip from his own viral “Gang Banging” music video.

Smokey Robinson is widely considered a music legend. His career began as part of the celebrated Motown Records group known as The Miracles. Robinson’s solo career included releasing classic tunes like “Cruisin'” and “Being with You.”

While Gunna is still striving to reach legendary status, the Atlanta-bred rapper continues to add major accomplishments to his legacy. The YSL Records representative already racked up 61 entries on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart.

Last week saw Gunna place 15 DS4Ever tracks on the Hot 100. “Pushin P” led the way by peaking at #7, giving Gunna his third Top 10 single following 2018’s “Drip Too Hard” (#4) and 2020’s “Lemonade” (#6).

U.K Rapper Ghetts Claims Music Fans “No Longer Know What Greatness Is”

Ghetts expressed his frustrations at the current standards of greatness in the music industry

The U.K rap pioneer linked with the NFL U.K and podcaster Chuckie for an episode of the new show, “Overtime.”

Ghetts explained to the co-hosts, NFL pundits Osi Umenyiora and Jason Bell exactly why he believes standards have declined.

He complained about “people that control the narrative of how the herd thinks” and how consumers compare artists’ accolades. Fans argue that stats like sales figures rather than music determines the caliber of an artist.

Ghetts acknowledged that achieving the number two spot on the U.K Album Charts with his critically acclaimed album, “Conflict of Interest” has changed how his fans discuss his position in the industry.

“This is the argument people use,” he continued. “So now in my argument when people say that – someone tries to argue against Ghetts – the person goes, ‘yeah but my man went number two.’ Do you get it?” he asked. “So, it keeps the argument going on for longer.”

Ghetts Says Artists Are “Getting Away With Murder.”

However, Ghetts is frustrated that the conversation has veered from discussing talent and has created an environment where mediocrity is the norm. “It’s sad because it comes away from the music. It’s how people are getting away with murder. It’s how people are able to go to a show and spit over the album version of the track and not the pa.”

Ghetts questioned who is responsible for the current state of affairs, asking, “Is it the artists fault or is it the people that allow this fuckery?”

He continued as the hosts of the show laughed in agreement. “You’re going to a show to watch an artist spit over his album version of the track, and you think you can have an argument with me about music? You enjoyed that s###,” he said. “You f###### enjoyed that s### and you want to talk to me about music?”

Exasperated, Ghetts exclaimed, “That’s mental to me.” However, he has accepted the situation although he is unhappy with it. He concluded, “Now we no longer know what greatness is when we see it.”

Cardi B Releases Statement About The Death Of Fashion Icon Thierry Mugler

Famous French fashion designer Thierry Mugler passed away on January 23 at the age of 73. Hip Hop star Cardi B is often seen wearing Mugler designs at red carpet events.

Cardi B even name-dropped Thierry Mugler in her featured verse on Normani’s Top 20 hit “Wild Side.” The 2021 single included the Grammy winner rapping, “Come take me out this Mugler.”

After Thierry Mugler’s death, Cardi B posted a touching tribute to the brand’s late creative director and creative adviser on Instagram. She also uploaded several photos of herself with Mugler.

Cardi B wrote:

Mr. Mugler was one of the FIRST designers to take a major chance on me, allowing me to wear one of his ICONIC archive pieces for my Grammy red carpet look in 2019. Over the years me, him and Kollin created even more fashion moments but nothing tops being able to finally meet him in person last year in Paris at his museum exhibit. It’s so crazy because I was second-guessing if I should go the whole time leading up to that trip. I had just given birth to my son like three weeks prior and wasn’t feeling 100% like myself but something in my spirit kept saying “GO.” Maybe God knew that if I didn’t go then I may have never had the opportunity to thank him for everything he did and the doors he opened for me. Mr. Mugler was still putting his foot on necks at 73 years old!!! A true inspiration for all of us.

Rest in Paradise Manfred Thierry Mugler 🕊🙏🏼

❤️,
Cardi

“That’s the part that I’m still just so overwhelmed with,” she said in a preview clip for the Wednesday episode. “I can’t explain to you how many visions jumped into my head this moment I put that little girl into my hands. I thought about my relationship with Mama Mai. That already, I can’t wait to have that bond with Monaco.”

She adds, “I also thought about all the things that I didn’t learn as a little girl, that I can’t wait to teach my daughter now. There’s just so many reasons why raising a little girl is such an honor to me. I would have been happy with anything, but to have Monaco, I can’t tell you, I feel chosen. It’s emotional, and I can’t wait to raise a really strong, loving, empathetic, humorous, fashionable, fly, little girl.”

“I thought Baby J’s name should be a J name because obviously Jeannie and Jeezy, makes sense, but that wasn’t the name that came to us,” Mai Jenkins explained. “What really came to us was how baby J came to fruition for us when we were dating.”

She and Jeezy planned out their future and “established what was going on for us” during a trip to Monaco.

“That’s really the theme of the nursery: what Monaco is about. Family, moments, traveling, discussions, important key points in my life and Jeezy’s life that brought Monaco here,” she added.

Chuck D Links With MLB Network For New Song

The Public Enemy legend name-checks some of the high-profile names on this year’s ballot, including Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Andruw Jones, David Ortiz, Manny Ramirez, Alex Rodriguez, Jimmy Rollins, Gary Sheffield, Curt Schilling, and Sammy Sosa.

Chuck D spoke to HipHopDX about how the project emerged from his love of baseball.

“I’ve been involved with Major League Baseball for the last year and a half,” he said. “It all started from my relationship with Harold Reynolds. He’s a baseball analyst, commentator and former Major League Baseball star. C-Doc and I look at rap music and Hip Hop like new folk music, telling stories that probably are rarely told and bringing back music that has been left alone to the side and even forgotten. We like to bring a resurgence to it.’”

He continued, “2020 was unprecedented. But in following major league sports, I think it was the year that it lost more notable names than ever before. And not necessarily just COVID but an adjustment to how the world was changing. I wrote a song about it because every month or every other week, somebody of note passed away, somebody I grew up with and collected their baseball cards.

“So the first song I did with Major League Baseball, I told Harold about it and Harold said, ‘Well, we could get involved with this and make this a thing, man.’ He was blown away. That was my first relationship with Major League Baseball.”

Check out the track below. The results will be announced on Tuesday (Jan. 25) at 6 p.m. EST.

LisaRaye McCoy Says Playing a Stripper In “The Players Club” Led To An “identity Crisis”

LisaRaye McCoy was every man’s dream girl back in the 1990s following her role as Diamond, the single mother and college student turned stripper in the movie “The Players Club.”

During a recent interview, the actress and television personality revealed that the experience caused her to doubt herself.

“I had an identity crisis after ‘Players Club,’” she told Page Six. “I felt like I had to have the long hair and look like my character, ‘Diamond,’ in order to be recognized.”

LisaRaye continued and said the movie, “put me on the map… it made me a bona fide sex symbol, and when you are a sex symbol people think that you’re sexy all the time, and that stigma follows you,” she added. “So I am forever Diamond.”

She recalled how she prepared to get mentally and physically ready for the 1998 film.

“They gave me a trainer for a good six weeks so that helped me feel more confident about my body. So when it was time to do a striptease, Ice Cube was so great, and [was] there for me as a new actress.”

LisaRaye McCoy reflected on her experience working with Ice Cube, who wrote and directed the classic 90’s movie. She broke down how he delicately handled the intimate scenes.

“He was so professional,” she said. “I didn’t even see the rapper then. I saw the father, the businessman, the director. He was gracious enough to set up multiple cameras, and I did the strip scene maybe twice. So he allowed me to what I needed for a green new actress.”

Watch LisaRaye McCoy In “The Players Club” Below

However, at age 54, she is glad how the experience played out. “I’m an older ‘Diamond’ now,” she offered. “But diamonds always shine, so I am here for it. I did not know what sexy was at the time… I think it was best for me not to really know, because I probably would’ve tried to play it up in my role and messed it up.”

Snoop Dogg Is Going Back On Death Row!

Snoop!

If you know like I know, Snoop Dogg is back! Recently, he released a compilation album with a whole assortment of people. And that compilation album was pretty darn good. However, it was not a Snoop Dogg album!

If you know the big dog like I know the big dog, you know that he has never really missed a step. He has remained as consistent as anybody in the game. Lyrically, he still on point and you know he is a force in just about every facet of life. He is a money making machine!

Now that he is on Def Jam records I am thinking that he is really and truly something to behold. The big boss!

Anyway, back to the music. It appears the Snoop Dogg is going back to his roots with this new album that he’s announcing for February 13, 2022. Bacc on Death Row. The rapper seems to be suggesting that he is going to be like the old Snoop Dogg.

We already know what that means. What I find to be most interesting is that right now we don’t know anything about what else we will be bringing to the table. Will we be seeing Kurupt, Daz, the Lady of Rage or Dre? Will Suge Knight do the intro?

This is weird though…an album about Death Row being released on Def Jam.

So many questions!

The “Shotta Flow” hitmaker explained what happened to DJ Akademiks during an episode of the Off The Record podcast.

NLE Choppa began by saying he was confronted by the man while he was on his way out of the bathroom. The guy was agitated because he had been calling his name, though Choppa failed to hear him. He told Ak he was listening to music at the time.

NLE Choppa Explains Really What Went Down

“So he walk up,” NLE offered. “But by the time I look up to see him I guess he had already called my name a few times or something so…I didn’t hear s###,” the 19-year-old said.

He continued and claimed the man was not an NBA YoungBoy fan as speculation suggested. Rather, he was a disgruntled NLE Choppa fan who felt frustrated at being ignored.

“I could tell he was a fan though like I could really tell that’s why I was finna deescalate,” he said. “I was feeling like ‘my man I have my earphones in, I just can’t hear you bruh.’ It was just crazy and like, he jumped at me and I’m like, ‘What the f###?’ and I just look at him I’m like, in a split second of me thinking, I’m like, ‘Man, should I pop on this n#### man?’

However, NLE Choppa said, “And I just went ahead and fired on him, ’cause I just feel like If I would have turned my back and walked off, he woulda sucker-punched me, or did whatever bruh, like. So I just went ahead and popped it off.”

OG Calls Out Wack100 And Calls Him The Superhead Of Hip-Hop!?!

Wack 100 has been called a number of things, but the “Superhead of Hip-Hop” is a new one!

First of all, let us establish a few things. Superhead is the alias of a woman Karrine Steffans. She is an incredible woman in so many ways, namely those of an oral sort. She is also an actress and some of you may have seen some of her films. She is also, most importantly, an author. She wrote the seminal work:

Amazon.com: Confessions of a Video Vixen: 9780060892487: Steffans, Karrine: Books

Do you remember this masterpiece of content that shook up the entire world of R&B and Hip-Hop? And yet…not a single lawsuit. It holds up over time as one of the craziest moments in the game. Rappers were exposed, homes were broken and she was “out there” before you all thought of the word “thot.”

READ ALSO: AllHipHop EXCLUSIVE: Wack 100 Explains How He Stopped The War Between Game And 50 Cent

So, for Big Court to call Wack 100 the “Superhead of Hip-Hop,” he gotta ask the question: WHY?

For the record, Big Court is down with Master P and is a certified, verified and undenied OG! In fact, as far as I am concerned, there’s only a few people that can speak about Wack in that way. Soooooo….here we go with “Holdin’ Court,” the podcast where the big dogs chop it up.

Around the 14 minutes mark, he talks about Master P and some of the stuff they did in the community. So, in this video I was told that he called him a “Superhead,” but I am not so sure he does. Also, they chastise the media for fanning the flames, but they need to check their homies and peers with the BS. The media mostly repeats or reports what is already going on. They cannot create what is not there. Check ya homies and yo’ self! And for the record, we have covered everything positive, Master P and the banking stuff, P and the sneakers, P and the food and more! Same with T.I., Dame, Killer Mike and so on and so on!! Lets get back to the music and the culture!

I gotta say the podcast was cool, but I am not certain I can say its cool to mislead me on what that long convo was about!

On another note, Wack 100 got into it with some dude Meme100 (Lil Durk homie), but they just…doing too much on Clubhouse!

New Black Rob Album On The Way!

It looks like Black Rob has something to say even in death.

If you know like I know, the former Bad Boy rapper had a classic on his hand – 2000’s Life Story. And that opus helped prepare Bad Boy Records to great heights after Biggie Smalls was murdered.

The album yielded a number of hits and street hits (BANGERS!) and kept Diddy in the game.

Well, Deric “D-Dot” Angelettie a.k.a. the mad rapper a.k.a. one of Diddy’s Hitmen (legendary music production team) has made a stunning announcement! He has revealed That Black Rob will be releasing another album posthumously.

There aren’t a lot of details but he did reveal that it will be a sequel to the classic – Life Story.

He also revealed that his character, The Mad Rapper, which was very popular in the 90s into the 2000s, will be dropping another album as well! So we can all expect to be highly entertained in the upcoming months.

What does this all mean to us?

READ NEXT: Black Rob’s Last Days: What Happened? Kal Dawson Talks!

I am not so sure, but I do know that it means that things are about to get very interesting. I am very hopeful that the “building” (Diddy is the building) gets behind the effort. In his death, Black Rob deserved so much more.

He had some issues, but he didn’t deserve that type of death with all that he gave us.

Life isn’t fair and nobody owes us anything, and yet it just seems like he got a raw deal.

Rest in peace Black Rob!

Warren G’s Son Has Been Drafted To The Buffalo Bills

Former Def Jam artist and West Coast pioneer Warren G has some pretty exciting news.  His son has been drafted to the NFL.

According to 247 Sports,  the rapper’s son, Olaijah Griffin just signed a two-year contract designed as a futures deal with The Buffalo Bills. After spending a great deal of the 2021 season on the team’s practice squad, this push up elevates him on the team’s roster.

With this futures deal, Griffin will immediately be placed on Buffalo’s active team roll call, and come this fall, when the contract goes into place, Dr. Dre’s nephew will get some time on the professional field.

The athlete nixed the last two years of collegiate eligibility and undergraduate career to enter into the NFL Draft in 2021. He was not picked up and signed with a free agent contract with Bills.

He said, “I have a big chip on my shoulder because my dream was to make it to the NFL, but my dream was also to hear my name being called. Now I have to show why I deserve to be here.”

Despite his chip, he has the eye of the tiger.

“When I’m on the island, I feel like I can’t be beat,” Griffin said. “So I mean, he put me in the right position and I really am blessed to have Todd Orlando as a defensive coordinator because I just got a whole new knowledge about everything.”

Let’s sit back and check to see if he “REGULATES” the NFL.

The diamond-selling rapper is investing in the brand and starting a new gig as CLEAN Cause’s first creative director. Macklemore, who has battled addiction, is joining a company that donates 50 percent of its net profits to funding sober living scholarships.

“I chose to align with and endorse a brand that is at the forefront of creating awareness for addiction and actively supporting the recovery community,” Macklemore said in a press release. “As creative director and a new investor of the already impactful brand, I am excited to combine my creative passions with a great product in an effort to save lives. Together, our goal is to inspire and educate individuals on addiction and support those who are in recovery.”

For his first project as creative director, Macklemore has produced a series featuring stories of recovery. The Grammy winner will also be involved in the artistic direction of a new limited edition CLEAN Cause can.

“We are grateful to be able to partner with one of the most iconic entertainers of our time who shares a similar passion to bring awareness and activism to the world on the epidemic of addiction,” CLEAN Cause founder and CEO Wes Hurt said. “As creative director, investor and a person in recovery, Macklemore will bring fresh ideas and knowledge to our brand to further spread awareness on the epidemic. While we both have different experiences with addiction, we are committed to fighting addiction. We’re just two men on a mission.”
