50 Cent Plans To Make TV Series About Snoop Dogg’s Murder Case

50 Cent has another television show in the works.

The G-Unit boss revealed plans to make a series about Snoop Dogg’s infamous murder case on Thursday. 50 Cent didn’t mention any network or streaming service in his Twitter announcement, but he suggested the show will be greenlit.

“I’m afraid this is going to be a problem for everything on Tv,” 50 Cent wrote. “A moment in time ( MURDER WAS THE CASE ) when the dream you have been wishing for feels like a nightmare. You think you know you have no idea. @snoopdogg story is crazy BOOM Green Light Gang I DON’T MISS.”

Snoop Dogg and his former bodyguard McKinley Lee were charged with murder in 1993. The multi-platinum selling rapper was in the driver’s seat of a car when Lee shot and killed 20-year-old Philip Woldemariam in Los Angeles.

Prosecutors claimed Snoop Dogg and Lee hunted down Woldemariam, who was allegedly a rival gang member. During the lengthy trial, defense lawyers said Lee acted in self-defense after Woldemariam reached for a gun.

Snoop Dogg and his ex-bodyguard were acquitted of murder in 1996. The Doggfather was also found not guilty of accessory after the fact.

50 Cent’s proposed series about the murder case will bolster his extensive TV lineup. He’s produced multiple hit shows, including Power and its spinoffs, for Starz.

In September, 50 Cent launched a series about the Black Mafia Family. The first season of BMF hasn’t even finished airing, but the show’s already been renewed for a second season.

Black Panther 2 In Jeopardy Due To Covid-19?

I cannot believe we are here in the world. First of all, RIP Chadwick Boseman! You have not been forgotten! As you know Brother Chadwick was the lead hero and King of “Black Panther” and several other iconic movies. He was a good man! And We know this as fact. Anyway, the movie franchise was thrown in a tizzy when he passed away from cancer. Now, the franchise is being thrown in a tizzy for another reason, according to reports. They opted not to recast the role held by Chadwick and now have different circumstances.

Letitia Wright, the actress that played Shuri (Black Panther’s spicey kid sister) has a very strong, unwavering anti-vax stance. According to rumor, this stance may indefinitely postpone Black Panther 2? HUH? Yep. See, the word is Shuri becomes the Black Panther, as she does in the comic books. The only thing is…we are in a global pandemic and in the midst of a civil war of thought right now. Letitia Wright is taking her stand and not moving.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever jumped on a hiatus and they said they would begin again in the early part of 2022. Letitia got an unspecified boo-boo on the set. She goes back to London Town, where she’s from, and we’re thinking everything is OK. WRONG. On god – you won’t believe what I saw on TheJasmineBrand. “On November 8 the CDC announced that all non-immigrant and non-U.S. citizens flying to America must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and give proof of their vaccination status prior to boarding a plane to the country.” What in the pandemic are they doing?

We do not know how long this is going to last OR if Disney money will make it all better. I don’t see why she can’t fly private to the set, take Covid tests and resume filming!! Anyway, it is bad enough that the story is permaneantly altered without King Chadwick, but now this?! We cannot have the movie fail over this mess!

Here is a Black Panther fanfilm for you.

TLC. Monica. Boyz II Men. Madonna. Michael Jackson. Janet Jackson. P!nk. Gwen Stefani. What do all of these platinum-selling acts have in common? They have all been produced by the legendary producer, Dallas Austin. The master of the super hits, he figured out the chart-topping formula that made Atlanta the genesis of the 90s Hip-Hop/ R&B Soul sound.  As an executive, launched Rowdy Records in 1992 where he dropped Hip-Hop acts, Illegal, Da King & I, and the alternative rap band, Y’all So Stupid. The classics that came from this Hip-Hop/ R&B legend are too numerous to name. But today we pause to salute his genius.

B.D.K is one of Hip-Hop’s innovators and is known for epitomizing the term “lyricist.” The pioneer was equally known as the best battle rapper in Brooklyn in the 80s and live performances that consisted of theatrics, choreography, and tailored costumes which revolutionized Hip-Hop fashion. His endless music accolades include several gold albums and a GRAMMY award. Also rocking the mic that day was your royal highness, Queen Latifah.

OG Piru Redrum, Co-Creator of ‘Bangin On Wax’ Passes Away

Recently West Coast gangsta rap pioneer O.Y.G Redrum 781, born Jermaine Carter, passed away after succumbing to a lengthy battle with bone cancer.

Redrum was a decorated Piru gang member known for his role in co-creating the collaborative project between the Bloods and the Crips called Bangin On Wax.

The project was released via Dangerous Records in 1993 and was instrumental in efforts towards counteracting the violence taking place in Los Angeles during the early 90’s.

“He was a real prolific lyricist, a battle rapper and one of the best emcees to ever come out fo Los Angeles, he was famous for Bangin on Wax and Piru Love,” friend and collaborator Big Wy explained. “Him and Tweety Bird ended up creating something that it wasn’t intended to be, but it was real big, he was one of the ones responsible for getting that out. And he was just a real helpful and beautiful soul and anyone that needed anything he helped them do it free of charge. He will be missed, he’s one of our West Coast legends, Redrum.”

Ironically Redrum was a cousin of legendary West Coast emcee Kurupt, but the two were involved in a personal dispute that was eventually squashed as both Redrum and Kurupt were pictured in interviews together in 2016.

Gangsta rap pioneer Redrum has died after a battle with bone cancer

At one point during his lengthy career Redrum shared the booth with legendary rapper 2Pac after Redrum signed to Death Row Records.

Not only was O.Y.G. Redrum 781 known for his role in the music industry creating the Bangin On Wax album and signing to Death Row, but he also spent a significant amount of time making sure Bloods across the country were following the proper protocols for their organization.

“That was one of my best friends man, he’s the one that opened the door for me to rap professionally and he called me to be on Bangin on Wax,” rapper OG Big Wy said. “He opened up the door for a lot other homies that ended up rapping and doing their thing. So we he was a really important person to the culture out here.”

Below is are several songs from Redrum’s years in the rap game spanning over 30 years. RIP Redrum.

YFN Lucci Calls Out People Not Showing Him Love

Rayshawn “YFN Lucci” Bennett is currently awaiting trial in Georgia for felony murder, assault, and racketeering charges. Prosecutors claim YFN Lucci is a gang member who is responsible for the death of his associate James Adams.

Before his upcoming trial begins next May, YFN Lucci relayed a message via his Instagram Story. The “Everyday We Lit” hitmaker had a few words for anyone that may have turned their back on him during these difficult times.

“Everybody I Ever Told I Love I SHOWED EM,” read the Instagram post on YFN Lucci’s account. “Funny How Some Never Showed Me They Only Told Me!!!!!”

Prosecutors Have Been Building A Case Against YFN Lucci

28-year-old James Adams was murdered in Atlanta on December 10, 2020. YFN Lucci surrendered to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office on May 10 of this year after first being detained in January. He was originally released on a $500,000 bond before a judge denied him a bond for the seperate racketeering indictment.

Authorities reportedly worked on the racketeering case against YFN Lucci and other alleged Blood members for six months before charges were formally filed. The prosecution is said to be based, in part, on Lucci’s rap lyrics, music videos, and social media posts.

The Atlanta-based rapper maintains his innocence. Drew Findling, YFN Lucci’s attorney, told the press, “[Lucci’s] not a gang member. What he is, is an internationally recognized musical artist that is a triple Platinum winner.”

Teyana Taylor Blasts TMZ For A Headline About Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival Tragedy

The ill-fated 2021 Astroworld Festival continues to make news. Not only is organizer Travis Scott dealing with the fallout from the casualties caused by crowd crush at the November 5 event, but other celebrities have been pulled into the situation too.

For example, R&B singer Teyana Taylor was recently asked about stopping her own show to help a person that appeared to be in distress. Additionally, Taylor told the TMZ cameraman that Travis Scott paused his performance to bring attention to an injured concertgoer.

Taylor also suggested everyone involved in organizing an event like the Astroworld Festival should make the proper precautions to ensure the fans’ safety. TMZ then published an article and a YouTube video titled: “Teyana Taylor Defends Travis Scott, Safety Falls On More Than Just Artists.”

Maxim magazine’s “Sexiest Woman Alive” was not pleased by the entertainment news website’s headline. Teyana Taylor went on Twitter and blasted TMZ to her 1.4 million followers.

She tweeted:

R U serious for this headline??? 1: i made it clear that I always stopped my shows to help my fans. 2: I made clear BOTH ARTIST & STAFF SHOULD TAKE PROPER PRECAUTION to make sure everyone’s safe. 3: I barely even wanted to talk to you motha fuckahs. Always MISLEADING headlines. Most importantly I mind my business. ALWAYS. It’s not my job to judge something I don’t have the full details on. This whole situation is a very sad and unfortunate, and my heart and prayers go out to ALL of the parties involved. But stop being f##### mess TMZ. Messy a####.

Kanye West Apologizes To Soulja Boy After Taking His Verse Off ‘Donda’ Album

The Kanye “Ye” West versus Soulja Boy drama began months ago after SB was removed from Ye’s Donda studio LP.

Apparently, Soulja Boy recorded bars for the track “Remote Control,” but the final version of the song came out without his feature. Soulja then started trolling Ye on social media.

Ye fired back at Soulja Boy during his highly-publicized interview with Drink Champs. During the sitdown with N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN, Ye called SB’s proposed Donda verse “trash.”

Soulja Boy responded to Ye while live streaming on Twitch. He screamed into the camera, “You said my verse wasn’t hard, n####? Who the f### do you think you’re talking to? Everything that comes out my mouth is hard.”

Kanye West and Soulja Boy seem to be on better terms at the moment. A screenshot of an alleged text conversation between the two rappers hit the internet.

“Love you bro. I should have told you I wasn’t gonna use the verse,” read a message supposedly written by Kanye West. Soulja appeared to reply, “Love you too bro. That’s all I wanted.”

The Swag 4 album creator also took to Twitter to provide another quote about the situation. Soulja Boy posted, “I was the first rapper to get an apology from Kanye West ☝🏾😂.”

Summer Walker Blasts London On Da Track; Claims He “Didn’t Produce” On Her Album

Summer Walker has come out to deny that her ex-partner, London On Da Track,” wrote or produced her new album despite what the credits say.

The “Ex For a Reason” singer released her second studio album, “Still Over IT’ on Friday (Nov. 5). The credits displayed the father of her child, London On Da Track, as writer and or producer of multiple songs.

However, Summer Walker says he didn’t do any of the work he’s claiming credit for and barely contributed to the project at all.

Summer took to the comments of a Shade Room post to share her side of the story:

“He didn’t WRITE s### and he didn’t PRODUCE s### either. He just handpicked the n-ggas he wanted to do all the work and attached his name to it while he was out screwin hoes while I was PREGNANT. The most he did was sprinkle a wind chime effect on a song that was already done then put his name on it.”

She continued, “The last album he actually did the work, and it was great project. He super talented, but for this album, lol no sir, but I guess the city boys is up, taking credit for ish you ain’t do and not actually having to take care of the kids you made. Lol ima go back to minding my business, this just triggered the hell out me.”

N.O.R.E Reveals He & Mally Mall Celebrated Believing He Got Probation In Pimping Case

Mally Mall is currently behind bars after being convicted of running a prostitution ring. Prior to commencing his 33-month sentence, he managed to film a reality show.

N.O.R.E and his wife Neri recently spoke about the season of “Marriage Boot Camp: The Hip Hop Edition” they filmed with Mally Mall before his imprisonment. They reveal that Mally initially thought he’d escaped conviction.

“You know what’s crazy about that?” N.O.R.E. asked during an interview with HipHopDX. “I can’t speak for somebody else, but I think he did this prior to all of that. At some point of the show, he actually comes to us and says he got probation. I guess the judge did grant him probation.

“I don’t know what happened, but then after we left the house, that’s when we got the news that he actually got the 33 months or whatever amount of time. So he was actually told on the show that he beat it and that he got probation, and we actually opened a bottle of Ace of Spades and celebrated.”

To the surprise of the cast and production, Mally Mall had to turn himself in to begin his sentence in the summer.

“Again, this is a WEtv show,” N.O.R.E. continues. “We respect them. I can’t ever tell anybody how to do they show, but it’s actually on there because there’s cameras everywhere. He truly thought he beat it. I think that he thought that he was good and then at the end, the judge just … it was a different judge or something. I don’t know.”

Neri interjected, “We didn’t really know much about what was going on. Mally kept it kind of quiet. He mentioned it a couple times in the house, but to be honest, that’s something that he kept to himself, and I didn’t even know what was going on because that was my first time being in the house with him.”

Did Mally Mall Fake His Relationship On The Show?

Furthermore, Mally Mall’s purported girlfriend on the show, Treasure, says they were never actually a couple and were just posing as one to further their careers.

“We agreed to come on this show because I would have liked to get more publicity for my career,” Treasures says. “And you wanted to get more publicity so you wouldn’t have to go to jail.”

Big Sean Share Photos Of The Movie Theatre He’s Building In Detroit

Big Sean has announced that he is building a movie theatre in his native Detroit.

Sean began construction back in 2018 but like so many pre-pandemic plans, he had to put the project on hold.  Now, as restrictions have eased, Big Sean and Emagine are back to work. The “Bounce Back” rapper took to social media to show his followers the lot where the movie theatre is currently being built.

“Building my 1st movie theatre in Detroit, pandemic slowed us down but it’s on the way!!!” He said proudly. “A dream come true, what else should I put in here? Arcade? Lounge? Bowling? A intimate Venue? Community Center? Let me know”

https://www.instagram.com/p/CWHHqP2vau6/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Back in 2018 when Big Sean first announced his plans the theatre was intended to be a multi-purpose venue. The proposal featured 10 to 12 movie screens as well as a 300-seat auditorium. Since then, Big Sean may have upgraded a few ideas. At the time, he had this to say:

“There is no major movie theater in the city of Detroit — this makes no sense to me. I feel that it is necessary to build a theater in the city, not only because of the joy and inspiration movies will bring to people’s lives, but I hope this theater will become a hub of creativity — a place for intimate concerts, lectures, meetings, and other events.”

Big Sean released a video from his surprise collaboration EP with Hit-Boy, ‘What You Expect.’ The visuals for ‘The One’ dropped on November 9. The pair have already released videos for the tracks ‘What A Life’ and ‘Loyal To A Fault’ from the EP. Watch it below.

Travis Scott Legal Rep Accuses City Officials Of ”Finger Pointing” in Astroworld Investigation

Travis Scott’s legal representative has issued a statement claiming there are inconsistencies surrounding the investigation into the tragedy at Astroworld this weekend.

Ed McPherson told TMZ, “There has been multiple finger-pointing, much of which has been by city officials, who have sent inconsistent messages and have backtracked from original statements.”

He continues, “Houston Police Chief Troy Finner was quoted in the New York Times as saying, “You cannot just close when you got 50,000 and over 50,000 individuals. We have to worry about rioting, riots, when you have a group that’s that young.” Yet, just a short time later, Chief Finner states the responsibility to stop the show falls on Travis.”

McPherson says, “It was reported that the Operations Plan designated that only the festival director and executive producers have authority to stop the show, neither of which is part of Travis’s crew. This also runs afoul of HPD’s own previous actions when it shut down the power and sound at this very festival when the performance ran over 5 minutes back in 2019.”

Travis Scott’s rep finishes, “Investigations should start proceeding over finger pointing so that together, we can identify exactly what transpired and how we can prevent anything like this from happening again.”

The statement comes following claims that members of the Houston Police Department were recording Travis Scott performing nearly half an hour after a mass casualty event had been declared. TMZ poses the question, ‘if they didn’t know … how would Travis?”

According to TMZ, the Fire Chief announced a “mass casualty event” at 9:38 PM. Timestamps on a photo of police recording the event display the time as 9:57 PM. 19 minutes after the chief made his declaration.

TMZ has obtained another video from Astroworld they say was filmed 25 minutes after the mass casualty declaration. Cops can be seen walking in file past the stage where Travis Scott is performing. Again, the suggestion is the cops were oblivious to the tragic events progressing around them.

Another Dealer Pleads Guilty In Drug Case Related To Mac Miller’s Death

A second man is pleading guilty for his role in Mac Miller’s death.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Ryan Michael Reavis will plead guilty to one count of distributing fentanyl. He is accused of supplying counterfeit pills containing fentanyl to the drug dealer who allegedly sold them to Mac Miller.

The 38-year-old man admitted he supplied counterfeit oxycodone pills to Cameron James Pettit. The feds say Pettit is the dealer who sold the drugs to Mac Miller.

Reavis is the second person in the case to reach a plea deal. His agreement was announced a few weeks after his co-defendant Stephen Andrew Walter agreed to plead guilty to one count of distribution of fentanyl.

Walter conceded he instructed Reavis to distribute fentanyl-laced pills to Pettit. As part of his plea deal, prosecutors dropped a conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance charge against the 48-year-old man.

Reavis and Walter are expected to plead guilty in front of a judge in Los Angeles in the coming weeks. Both men are facing a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

Pettit’s case is still pending.

Mac Miller, whose real name was Malcolm McCormick, died from an accidental overdose in 2018. He was 26 years old.

Is This Why Jay-Z Jumped Off IG So Fast?

A lot of people are speculating that Jay-Z got off of Instagram super fast because he was attempting to promote a movie. “The Harder They Fall” is a certified hit on Netflix and a large part of the success of the film was due to Jay-Z’s vast promotion as producer. Now, there’s new light shed on the mogul’s entrance into Instagram. As many have noted, Jay-Z put up a single post, followed by following wife Beyoncé, and then quickly departed from the app. He was literally on there for 24 hours! Everybody was tweeting him and @’ing him trying to speak to the gawd. He was literally on there 24 hours!

Now, there is a new revelation that suggests that maybe Jay-Z got off the app for another reason. According to report from Complex magazine, Jay-Z was urged by the FBI to delete his emails because a HACK of his information was definitely coming. By this time, we know a lot of rappers do get hacked by virtue of DM’s and other methods on the social media app. I think the famous DJ and producer Pete Rock was hacked took recently. I think some people tried to scam people throught his account. With Jay, we don’t know for sure, but it sure seems like there could be a connection with Feds’ warning and the IG deletion.. I am not certain as to the validity of these claims but anything is possible.

Chicago Rapper and Music Industry CEO Gustavo Bands Continues to Show Growth A Decade into his Career

“Over time, I just got better and met more people who actually took making music seriously.” Chicago rapper Gustavo Bands knew that he was going to take music seriously when he was only 15 years old. Writing and recording songs in his makeshift closet studio while still in high school, the grind for success in the music industry has been a long one for Gustavo Bands. Continued dedication and a myriad of influences have turned the once starry-eyed rap hopeful into a real artistic and entrepreneurial force in the Chicago music scene. “Before I knew it, I had developed my own sound, and here I am,” he joyfully remarks.

Now a fixture in the Chicago music scene for close to a decade, Gustavo Bands has racked up an impressive list of titles. First and foremost, as an artist, he has worked hard to perfect his pop-influenced hip-hop style. With a solid collection of his own releases, along with some feature verses, the Chicago rapper has proven his talent and says there is much more music that he is ready to share with the world. “I got over 1,000 songs in the vault,” Gustavo Bands states. “I’m thinking about dropping saga of EPs and an album in 2022.”

An ambitious feat indeed, but releasing his own music is only the start for Gustavo Bands. On top of his recording dreams, Gustavo Bands is also the CEO of his own label: ThurlBred Entertainment. When first finding his footing as an artist in Chicago, Gustavo Bands helped other local artists with their songwriting. That drive to help others only grew into what is now a vessel for artists to share their music with the world. As for his own music, the Chicago rapper recently dropped the pop-trap fusion track “Street Lights.” Once again, with this release, Gustavo Bands has shown growth as an artist, and the results of the track are promising for what is to come in 2022.

EXCLUSIVE: Casanova Charged With Attempted Murder

Rapper Casanova was just handed more bad news as he sits in jail for racketeering with the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation.

Casanova was arrested in December of 2020 and charged with conspiracy to commit racketeering, conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

Unfortunately, a grand jury has returned a new superseding indictment accused the rapper of more crimes.

Casanova has been charged with an incident on October 24th, 2020, in Miami, Florida, in front of a popular strip club. The rapper was in front of the King of Diamonds nightclub when he argued with a rival member of the Crips.

The Crip gang member took issue with Casanova flashing gang signs as he took pictures with fans. He yelled to the rap star, “yo homie, wrong sign.”

Casanova allegedly responded, “you want to die tonight?”

An associate with Casanova named Jarrett “Jayecee” Chrisler Jr. drew a gun and shot two people during the altercation.

The gang member was shot in the stomach, and another person was hit by gunfire. Both were airlifted to a local hospital and treated for their bullet wounds.

To make the case more complicated for Casanova, prosecutors seized Chrisler’s phone and caught him bragging about the shooting to another associate.

Casanova put together a $2,500,000 million package in a motion for bond, but the allegations of his involvement in the double shooting with Chrisler ruined his chance at freedom.

And now Casanova is officially facing prison time for the shooting in Miami.

The Feds charged Casanova and Chrisler with attempted murder and assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering.

The grand jury also charged Casanova and a co-defendant named DeShawn “Don” Thomas for another violent quarrel on July 5th, 2020.

According to the indictment, the pair assaulted an individual with a dangerous weapon in New York, and they also shot at rival gang members in Miami during another unrelated incident.

Casanova and Thomas are charged with assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering.

Members of the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation have been charged with murder, distributing hundreds of kilos of marijuana, 5 kilos of cocaine, 1 kilo of heroin, and more than 280 grams of crack cocaine.

Prosecutors have already secured plea deals against several high rankings members of the gang.

Brandon “Untouchable Dot” Nieves, Jamal “Trap Smoke” Trent, Shanay “Easy” Outlaw, Jordan “Flow” Ingram, Stephen “Chino” Hugh and Brinae Thornton, the alleged godmother of the Money Gang of Cave of Gorilla Stone have pleaded guilty and are awaiting sentencing.

One member, Brandon Soto, is eligible for the death penalty for his role in shooting and killing an underage teenager in Poughkeepsie, New York.

Casanova has pleaded not guilty to the crimes and maintains he is being prosecuted simply for the company he kept.

“Mr. Senior’s persona as a rap artist is not his personal persona… after seeking to debunk our claim that Mr. Senior is being prosecuted based on his career as a rap artist, the government submitted a post of a weapon with the caption ‘Gripped Up.’ ‘Gripped Up’ is a rap song that was recorded by Mr. Senior days prior to the posting.”

Casanova may have known the superseding indictment was coming, based on an Instagram post last week.

He wrote: “MIGHT DIE IN HERE BUT ALWAYS REMEMBER WHATS ‘GANGSTA’ CAUSE THIS JAIL S### AINT “GANGSTA’ AT ALL HOPE YOU YOUNG N##### BEAT THE ODDS.”

Casanova faces a minimum of 15 years and a maximum of life in prison if he is convicted.

Jay-Z Victorious In $68 Million Battle With Perfume Company

Jay-Z scored a major victory in his legal battle with Parlux Fragrances.

A jury determined Hov wasn’t liable in the perfumer’s breach of contract lawsuit against him. Parlux was seeking $67.6 million in damages.

Although Jay-Z was cleared in the breach of contract case, jurors also dismissed his $6 million countersuit. He claimed Parlux owed him unpaid royalties

“You failed to prove your case, they failed to prove their case,” New York State Supreme Court Justice Andrew Borrok told both sides, according to Law 360.

The jury ruled in Jay-Z’s favor after two hours of deliberations. The decision concluded a three-week trial, which included testimony by the Roc Nation boss.

Parlux originally sued Hov in 2016. The company accused him of failing to properly promote its Gold Jay Z fragrance.

The case finally went to trial in October. Parlux executives repeatedly testified about how Jay-Z’s alleged unwillingness to promote the fragrance cost them millions.

Jay-Z’s attorneys contended Parlux had no idea how to properly market a product with the Hip Hop superstar’s name attached to it. Hov himself said the perfumer did “crappy, lazy work” during his testimony.

“I’ve always had problems with the quality of lazy work that was coming from Parlux,” he declared during the trial.

The jury ultimately sided with Hov, allowing him to move on from a lawsuit that’s been looming over him for the past five years.
