Freeway Offers ‘More Freedom’ To Fans On New Tour

Philadelphia rappers Freeway is gearing up to rock a city near you on the “More Freedom Tour.”  To kick up the first leg of the concert series, the State Property bullets are stopping in the Midwest, performing at The Grog Shop in Cleveland, Ohio on Tuesday, November 9.

According to management, the duo will hit the following cities to rapid-fire ten-day run: Pittsburgh, Columbus, Lima, Toledo, and Atlanta. They are also planning to drop by a city in North Carolina on their way back to the City of Brotherly Love.

This tour comes off the heel of some life-changing news for the lyricist.

For Freeway, it is his first tour in several years. In 2015, the “What We Do” rapper was diagnosed with kidney failure. Four years later, in February 2019, he received a transplant that saved his life. Just as it seemed like he was adjusting to his new normal, he experienced the loss of his two children, Jihad in October 2020 and almost a year later to the date, his daughter Harmony in October 2021.

When asked if he was prepared to go out, so shortly after the death of his baby girl, he shared, “She would of have wanted me to keep going, that’s the type of person she is.”

This news also comes after his rematch battle was announced with the Ultimate Rap League.

There are talks that on the next leg of the tour that all of the State Property artists will reconnect and “rock the mic right.”

Something is percolating in that camp: Ye dishing out reparations, Jay-Z extends an olive branch to Dame during his speech at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and State Property is looking to link like Transformers and kill the stage.

And Hip-Hop fans get to be right up close and personal.

Sponsored by Freedom Thinkers Academy, The “More Freedom Tour” blends music, health, education, and culture. Tickets for this master class of rhyme and reason, featuring two of the most gifted emcees to bless the mic and truly represent the streets, can be purchased here.

More days to follow.

A Parade For Alpo Martinez In Harlem?

Alpo Martinez is no longer with us, but his legacy continues on. I am not from that world, but I know a few things. I know that are Alpo Martinez. He’s a flamboyant former drug dealer that was shot up execution style when he was driving in Harlem. They shot him about six times im a way that leads some to believe it was a professional hit. He killed at least 14 people, including Rich Porter. His life and times were loosely documented in the movie “Paid In Full.” Lastly, he was a snitch. When he died at the age of 55, he was in witness protection under the name Abraham Rodriquez.

So, because the man was so well-known and infamous, they are reportedly going to have a parade for Alpo in the street of Harlem, New York. At a minimum, they are going to have a horse-drawn carriage in the hood for a man that pretty much caused destruction and mayhem. I know he was a fun dude too. And apparently a decent family man. But nobody focuses on that stuff. I have nothing bad to say about this, because its not my world. HOWEVER, I do find it odd that a man that ratted, murdered and sold lots of drugs is getting a parade.

Star thinks it was somebody from the West Coast that shot him dead in the street.

Now the question is…who killed Alpo?

Snoop Dogg: I Think All Of Death Row Records Should Be In My Hands

At one point, Death Row Records was the most commercially successful Hip Hop record company on the planet. With artists like Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and 2Pac on the roster, the West Coast imprint produced classic albums and songs for years.

Snoop Dogg now wants to take control of what’s left of the once-dominant Death Row empire. During an interview with Gillie and Wallo’s Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, the D-O-DOUBLE-G spoke about wanting to run his former label home.

“I think all of Death Row should be in my hands,” said Snoop Dogg. “I should be running that s###, just like I’m [in] a position at Def Jam. Death Row means more to me because I helped create that.”

The pop culture icon continued, “I think they should give me that, let me run that s###, put the merchandise out, with the music all over the world. Find some new West Coast acts. Just look at it like this, if they had [given] it to me five years ago, I would’ve had Roddy Ricch, Ty Dolla $ign, YG. Anything coming out the West would’ve been on Death Row.”

Snoop Dogg’s Algorithm Album Is On The Way

Snoop Dogg is currently serving as an executive creative consultant for Def Jam Recordings. He will release his upcoming studio album, Algorithm, via the legendary New York City-based label.

Previously, Snoop Dogg also released projects on No Limit Records, Priority Records, Geffen Records, RCA Records, Columbia Records, eOne, and EMPIRE. However, his classic 1993 album Doggystyle came out during his Death Row era.

Snoop Dogg Presents The Algorithm will arrive on November 12. The Long Beach representative stated, “Right now, the algorithm is telling us you have to rap this way, you have to sound this way, but they’re not telling you how it’s supposed to feel. My algorithm is going to give you a feeling, not a sound.”

Dr. Dre and Suge Knight helped found Death Row Records in the early 1990s. The Blackstone Group bought the rights to Death Row’s music catalog from the Hasbro corporation in April. Earlier this year, Death Row began celebrating its 30-year anniversary with a virtual retrospective online gallery and limited-edition NFTs.

Roddy Ricch To Donate His Astroworld Festival Earnings To The Victims’ Families

The entertainment world is still reeling from the tragedy at Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival on Friday. Eight people were reportedly killed and over 300 people were injured by a crowd surge during the final set of the night.

Travis Scott is already facing civil lawsuits as a result of the disaster at the annual music event in Houston, Texas. The Astroworld album creator also faced considerable backlash for not halting the show as people were dying in the crowd.

Another Hip Hop act that was part of the Astroworld Festival lineup is stepping up to help the victims’ loved ones. Grammy-winning rapper Roddy Ricch made an altruistic announcement on his Instagram Story.

Several Celebrities Offer Condolences

“Please have the families of those who we lost yesterday reach out to @shawnholiday. I’ll [be] donating my net compensation to the families of this incident. #Pray4Houston,” wrote Roddy Ricch.

Other Astroworld Festival performers, like singer SZA and producer Metro Boomin, offered public condolences to the deceased. Hip Hop superstar Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) dedicated his Sunday Service to the people who lost their lives on Friday night.

Plus, the office of Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner posted a tweet that read, in part, “Organizers held the event to bring people together for music, but it sadly ended in tragedy. Thanks to police, fire & other agencies that responded to assist.”

Social Media Users Criticize Travis Scott’s Video Message

Travis Scott issued a written statement on Saturday about the fatal incident and later shared a video message on Instagram. The Houston native said he is working closely with local city officials, law enforcement, and the fire department to “help us figure this out.”

Many social media users criticized both responses by the 30-year-old rhymer born Jacques Bermon Webster II. In particular, Travis Scott’s on-camera reaction was called “fake,” “cringy,” “unemotional,” and “forced.”

Scott’s longtime girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, also issued a statement saying the couple was “broken and devastated” about the Astroworld Festival catastrophe. The cosmetics mogul claimed they were unaware of the fatalities until after the show despite footage showing ambulances and first responders rushing to the scene as Scott was on stage.

Nick Cannon Offers To Impregnate Saweetie

It looks like Nick Cannon wants to add another baby to his ever-growing extended family of offspring. The daytime talk show host is already the father of seven children with four women.

Will California-bred Hip Hop star Saweetie be baby mother number five for Nick Cannon? Over the weekend, Saweetie simply tweeted, “I want some babies.”

That tweet garnered a response from Nick Cannon a few hours later. The 41-year-old entertainer quote-tweeted Saweetie and added, “🤔🥷🤣🙋🏾‍♂️.”

The creator of the Wild ‘n Out sketch comedy series was likely just making fun of the negative narrative about him. Some sectors of the public criticized Nick Cannon after reports about him impregnating multiple women around the same time began circulating online.

Meanwhile, Saweetie is preparing to make her Saturday Night Live debut as a musical guest. The 28-year-old “Best Friend” hitmaker will perform on the November 20th episode of SNL which features Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings actor Simu Liu.

Nick Cannon has a special television presentation coming in the near future as well. VH1 will air the Cannon-directed Miracles Across 125th Street on December 20. The movie also stars Lil Kim, Akon, DC Young Fly, Jim Jones, Teyana Taylor, and more.

Felony Arrest Warrants Issued For Blueface Over Nightclub Fight

Earlier this year, an employee at a San Fernando Valley lounge accused Jonathan “Blueface” Porter and his entourage of unnecessary violence. The incident was captured on camera.

Law enforcement apparently investigated the matter, and felony arrest warrants were issued for Blueface and two other men. TMZ reports all three suspects are facing one assault charge and one robbery charge.

The robbery claim is the result of the bouncer accusing someone of stealing his chain. The alleged victim also supposedly suffered multiple injuries that required stitches.

Back in September, Blueface addressed the allegation against him and his crew. The “Thotiana” rapper from Los Angeles told Hollywood Unlocked that the bouncer actually incited the ordeal by calling him a “n#####.”

“He had a little racial slur, like, ‘Cause you think you’re a famous little n-word you think you can do this and do that,” said Blueface. “I’m like, ‘Damn, you went right there with it.’ I wasn’t even tripping on him, honestly… We’re not trying to do him how we did him.”

The Cash Money Records affiliate added, “If you look at the whole clip, we didn’t jump him. One person got on him. I went to facilitate then he just went down. It’s not like we were just like, ‘Let’s all get a turn on beating this dude’s ass.’”

Blxst Earns 4 Soul Train Award Nominations Including Best Song For “Chosen”

Blxst has been making a name for himself throughout 2021 and picking up the accolades to go along with it. This year, he earned himself a place in the XXL Freshman Class and picked up a BET Hip-Hop Awards nomination for Best New Hip-Hop Artist

Now, he’s adding to that receiving four nominations for the 2021 Soul Train Awards. The nominees were announced on Saturday, Blxst is in the running for Best New Artist, Album of The Year, Best R&B/Soul Male Artist, and Song of The Year.

TikTok smash and viral sensation “Chosen” nabbed a nomination for Song of the Year. The track was also certified gold recently.

Blxst received wide praise for his debut album, “No Love Lost,” which entered the Billboard charts at No. 3 when it dropped last year. The project went on to receive 200 million streams during the first few weeks of release.

Last month, during an interview with Billboard the west coast native discussed being part of “Brunch on Sundays” and filming with Nas and the superstar cast.

“That was a big moment,” Blxst noted. “I didn’t even know none of the people were going to be there. Of course, Nas and Hit-Boy, but when I pulled up, I seen LeBron [James], Russell Westbrook, [and] Swizz Beatz. I was like, ‘Damn. I’m really surrounded by legends.’ … LeBron actually walked up to me and said, ‘I respect what you’re doing. I see what you’re doing.’ I didn’t even know he knew who I was. That was a dope moment, for real.”

Snoop Dogg Shows Love

He also talked about the heavy praise west coast legend Snoop Dogg recently heaped on him, passing him the keys to the city. Blxst talked about the responsibility he feels as a result.

Yeah, that’s heavy, especially being this fresh in the game. The only two people I’ve seen get passed the keys were The Game and Kendrick Lamar. To be listed amongst those people lets me know I’m on the right trajectory, and I don’t take the craft for granted. I want to do it the right way and carry the torch in a respectable way and to represent my city in the right way.

Blxst made his TV debut performing his hit song ”Chosen” with Ty Dolla $ign on the Jimmy Fallon Show last week.

First Week Sales Projections For Summer Walker’s ‘Still Over It’ Album Are In

Summer Walker dropped her official sophomore studio LP on Friday. Still Over It contains contributions by Cardi B, JT, SZA, Ari Lennox, Lil Durk, Pharrell Williams, Omarion, and Ciara.

The LVRN-released project is dominating the Apple Music streaming service. Summer Walker currently controls the entire Top 10 of the streamer’s Top 100: USA chart.

Still Over It is also projected to do extremely well on next week’s Billboard 200 rankings. According to HitsDailyDouble, Summer Walker’s latest album is on pace to move 185,000-210,000 units in its first week.

That projection should be enough to give Summer Walker her first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200. 2019’s Over It debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 with 134,000 album-equivalent units.

HDD also reports Still Over It is likely to open with a projected 225-250 million on-demand audio streams. Still Over It is set to have the biggest sales opening by a female R&B artist since Beyoncé’s Lemonade in 2016.

In addition, Still Over It is receiving positive reactions from music fans. A lot of attention is focused on “Bitter” with narration by Cardi B, “No Love” with SZA, and “Ciara’s Prayer” with narration by Ciara.

Snoop Dogg Demands Equal Respect For Hip-Hop Legends

Snoop Dogg continues to put in work consistently after nearly three decades in the game. He’s making moves with no sign of slowing down in sight. He recently joined Def Jam as an executive creative and strategic consultant and his first album via the imprint, “Algorithm,” is expected later this week.

However, during a recent interview Snoop let it be known that Hip-Hop legends aren’t getting the reverence their peers in other genres receive. Snoop told “Rolling Stone Music Now” that the older rappers need the same respect reserved for their Rock & Roll counterparts.

“They don’t limit The Rolling Stones, they don’t limit those other groups that do it outside of our genre,” Snoop said. “You got rappers in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. You ain’t got no muthafuckin’ rock and rollers in the Rap Hall of Fame. So slow it down a little bit, and start putting some respect on our name and give us the respect for who we are.”

Additionally, Snoop Dogg pointed out he and his contemporaries helped make Hip-Hop the biggest genre in the world. For that, they should never have to beg to “stay relevant.”

“Don’t put no time limit on how old we are or what we are, because we don’t look at the rockers and say, ‘Man, he got white hair now when he used to have black hair, and it’s all grey now.’ We love their music, we love them, we respect them, we come support them, we sing their music — diehard fans.”

He added, “We should get that same love in hip-hop because we created something that’s gonna last forever, it’s generational.”

“If you grew up on this s###, we’re about to have a m############ good time,” he said as he opened the show. “We’re going down memory lane. Let’s go through this album.”

He worked his way through the project performing songs including “Palace,” “Peso,” “Bass,” “Wassup,” “Brand New Guy,” and “Purple Swag.” In between songs, he told stories of his early days in New York with A$AP Mob, who joined him on stage to perform “Trilla.”

A$AP Rocky Reminisces with Ferg

Later, A$AP Ferg performed alongside him for “Kissin’ Pink,” and the two recounted a story from back in the day. He reminded Rocky of a conversation they had while on tour with Drake. “I wanted to be a fashion designer,” Ferg recalled. “And you were like, ‘Yo, bro, we should do this rapping s###. And you told my mom, ‘Yo, I promise I’m going to make your son a millionaire and all that s###.’ And she looked at you crazy.”

A$AP Rocky told the crowd: “She kicked me out the house,” and Ferg laughed, “She said, ‘Who is this weird ass n***a with a perm in his hair’” Then Ferg got sentimental and told Rocky, “This n***a stayed true and we f###### built an empire. I appreciate you and I just want to say I love and admire you.”

Next, the pair hugged it out and homage to his Houston influences before getting into “Houston Old Head.”

Later, ahead of the penultimate track, A$AP Rocky reflected on the tragedy at Travis Scott’s Astroworld festival. Eight fans lost their lives and many more were injured at the event this weekend.

“My prayers go out to everybody who lost their lives in Texas the other day, going to Astroworld Fest,” he said. “My heart goes out to that guy, and everybody who lost their lives. Condolences. I hope everybody gets home safe tonight.”

50 Cent Blasts Starz After Episode Blunder “Now Who Getting Fired?”

50 Cent continues to see success at Starz with his latest series “BMF” continuing his stronghold in television. However, according to recent reports, the parent company is looking to sell the network.

“The Hollywood Reporter” claims that Lionsgate decided to sell the network last week. The filing reads: “On November 2, 2021, the Company’s Board of Directors authorized the Company’s management team to explore potential capital markets alternatives for its Media Networks business (STARZ) including, but not limited to, a full or partial spin-off, split-off, issuance of a tracking stock or other transaction”

Fiddy, who has been vocal in the past about his contributions to the network being overlooked, took to Instagram to address the potential sale on Friday. “WTF is this, No Raising Kanan, No BMF, what do you think made their stock jump ? I gave them two hits back to back Smh these people be crazy, smart as hell but no common sense.”

50, further enraged, says Starz aired an episode for a few hours before taking it down. This is despite them agreeing not to broadcast the show this week at all. He posted an image of a lion, mid roar, and wrote:

“Starz is a s### show, they better sell it fast. They put the f###### BMF show on, then took it down. what network does s### like that? They just ruined the anticipation of The episode i directed, I WORKED HARD ON THIS. I can’t work with these people anymore.”

Instagram: @50Cent

The New York native was particularly upset at the mishandling of the episode he directed featuring Eminem.

“Episode 7 of BMF is the best work i have done directing to date,” 50 Cent wrote in the caption. “I’m disappointed that STARZ handled this so poorly. I used my personal relationships to make things happen they couldn’t have made happen. @eminem thank you for doing this for me. I love you bro, you know i’m rolling wit you till the wheels fall off.”

50 Cent: “Now Who Getting Fired?”

Later, in another post, Fif explained why they agreed to delay airing episode 7 and said heads will roll.

“They called and told me they wanted to hold episode 7 back a week so We can roll right in GHOST Nov 21. I said cool i like that idea. Then these s### head people put the f###### episode out for 3 hours then take it down. 🤦‍♂️ This is not ok, when I get uncomfortable i make everybody uncomfortable now who getting fired? until you figure that out don’t call my phone respectfully.”

Starz has in the past acknowledged the contribution 50 Cent has brought to the network. Shows like “Raising Kanan” helped to bring in a million subscribers in just a week. Ratings have increased dramatically. The entertainment mogul’s “Power” universe and new series “BMF” have been massively popular with the viewing audience.

Travis Scott & Drake Sued Over Astroworld Tragedy

Travis Scott and Drake are being sued for over a million dollars by a man who claims he was left ‘severely injured’ at Astroworld on Friday (Nov. 5) in Houston.

This is the second lawsuit stemming from the concert, Travis is also being sued by another man who claims he was injured there.

Kristian Paredes, 23, from Austin, Texas, attended the festival and claims the rappers ‘incited the crowd’ that left eight dead and hundreds injured. Live Nation Entertainment Inc. and Harris County Sports and Convention Corporation are also named in the suit.

He is seeking $1 million for his injuries and to cover medical expenses.

The News of the World reports that the festival-goer claims Drake ‘came on stage alongside Travis Scott and helped incite the crowd.’ He alleges Drake and Travis Scott continued with their set ‘as the crowd became out of control’ and ‘while the crowd mayhem continued.’

Paredes lawyer said “There is no excuse for the events that unfolded at NRG stadium on Friday night. The crowd became chaotic and a stampede began leaving eight dead and dozens including Kristian Paredes severely injured,” said attorney Thomas J. Henry in the lawsuit.

It is further claimed that “Many begged security guards hired by Live Nation Entertainment for help, but were ignored.”

He is seeking a trial by jury and says the injuries and deaths are “negligence, carelessness and recklessness” of the “defendants, their agents, servants and employees, in the ownership, management, maintenance, operation, supervision, and the control of the subject premises.”

The filings continue:

“There is every indication that the performers, organizers, and venue were not only aware of the hectic crowd but also that injuries and potential deaths may have occurred. Still, they decided to put profits over their attendees and allowed the deadly show to go on.”

Travis Scott & Organisers Face Two Lawsuits

According to TMZ, Manuel Souza was the first festival goer to file suit against Travis Scott, Live Nation and others on Saturday.

In the lawsuit, filed in Harris County District Court, Souza claims he was injured and alleges both negligence and gross negligence. He says that the situation was “predictable and preventable” but festival organizers ignored warning signs from earlier in the day. Souza claims that though the stampedes began early on during the day, nothing was done to prevent them from happening.

Souza says organizers continued despite it being clear that people were distressed and suffering “serious obvious injury.” He says they made these choices even though they were aware of the ever-increasing risk.

The suit claims Travis Scott has a history of allegedly encouraging violence among fans at his shows and Souza says people have been hurt as a result.

It is unclear what injuries Souza has suffered. He is also suing for at least £1 million in damages.

Travis has addressed the issue via a video statement. Watch it below.

Imagine being poor, white, and from Detroit — but being obsessed with rap music. Now add to that mix that you think you can move your obsession into a career. That’s exactly the space that former battle rapper Eminem found himself in growing up. Proving that hard work and real talent can cross color lines and cultural biases.

In addition to Slim Shady getting on, landing on the top of the charts almost every time he releases a project, and making history as the first rap artist to go diamond twice, he also is a real student of his craft.

Check all the times he hopped on a beat with a Jay-Z or a Nas and arguably bested most people’s best emcee.

EXCLUSIVE: Nicki Minaj Is A Gangbanger With Ruthless NY Gang According To Lawyers In $20 Million Lawsuit

According to Tyrone Blackburn Esq., Nicki Minaj, born Onika Maraj, is a member of the violent New York-based gang known as the Makk Balla Brims.

The gang’s umbrella organization, known as the Mac Baller Brims, has been labeled the most dangerous criminal organization in New York

The Makk Balla Brims are a subset of Brims operating in Queens, New York. The gang is said to be very organized and is said to be heavily involved in drugs, guns, and the rap business.

The court documents complained that Kenneth and Nicki Minaj are part of the gang – and they pointed to her recent trip to Queens, New York as evidence submitted to judge Eric Vitaliano, who is presiding over a $20 million civil suit filed by Jennifer Hough.

“[Kenneth] Petty and Maraj were both in this district, in Jamaica Queens, New York. As seen on an Instagram live video currently up on Maraj’s Instagram page, both Maraj and Petty were seen associating with members of the Makk Ballers set of the Bloods Gang. Petty and Maraj are both members of this gang,” Tyrone Blackburn told Judge Vitaliano.

“Shortly after Petty and Maraj are spotted with their gangster colleagues, a member of the gang posted a death threat to Ms. Hough on Twitter, stating: ”Jennifer if you see this, the Makks are coming to get you.'”

Hough insists the couple supposedly unleashed a campaign of terror starting in early 2020. They wanted Hough to retract her allegations so that Kenneth could get off the National Sex Offender Registry.

Hough’s lawsuit claims Kenneth and Nicki offered up $500,000 to recant her story claiming he raped her at knife-point in 1994. Kenneth copped a plea to the crime in 1995 and was sentenced to four years in prison.

The campaign of harassment intensified after Kenneth was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender in California. He pleaded guilty to that crime and is awaiting sentencing in January of 2021.

Hough and her lawyers claim an associate of the couple known as Black threatened her life on social media after refusing his offer of $20,000 in cash. Most recently, members of the Makk Balla gang have been promising retaliation against Hough.

According to Jennifer Hough’s lawsuit, she has not been able to work since May of 2020. She has also had to relocate to different states and suffers from severe depression and paranoia.

Dr. Dre Accused Of “Decimating” Nicole Young’s Finances Out Of Revenge

Dr. Dre is hell-bent on getting revenge against his ex-wife Nicole Young – at least that’s what she claims in new court documents.

Nicole claims Dr. Dre is in contempt of court for refusing to pay her $1.2 million legal bills.

The judge has ordered Dre to pay all of Nicole’s legal bills as the couple’s divorce winds through the court system.

The rap mogul already shelled out $2 million towards the legal fees, estimated to total around $4 million.

Nicole’s lawyers sent an angry letter to the judge asking Dre to be held in contempt of court and to force him to cough up the enormous amount of money.

“Andre is doing whatever he wants to do because he is an enormously entitled and well-funded litigant who seeks to exact revenge on his former wife by decimating her financially, leaving her without legal representation in the case,” a lawyer wrote in the latest round of legal wrangling.

The legal bill is separate from the $3.5 million per year Dr. Dre must pay Nicole Young, regardless of when their divorce is settled.

According to a court order, Dr. Dre will pay the spousal support until Nicole remarries or dies.

However, the couple’s dog fight over a fortune worth $820 million will continue.

Dr. Dre claims Nicole Young signed an ironclad prenup, but she maintains she signed the agreement under a threat of violence.

EXCLUSIVE: Jam Master Jay’s Alleged Killers Escape Death Penalty

The two men accused of killing Run-DMC group member Jam Master Jay have had their own lives spared, thanks to United States Attorney General Merrick B. Garland.

AllHipHop.com can confirm that prosecutors will not seek the death penalty against Ronald “Tinard” Washington and Karl “Lil D” Jordan.

“Please be advised that United States Attorney General Merrick B. Garland has authorized and directed the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York not to seek the death penalty against defendants Karl Jordan, Jr. and Ronald Washington,” United States Attorney Breon Peace confirmed to Judge LaShann DeArcy Hall.

Jam Master Jay, born Jason William Mizell, was shot and killed on October 30th, 2002, in his recording studio in Queens, New York. Prosecutors claim Washington and Jordan murdered Jam Master Jay in cold blood because they were supposedly cut out of a drug deal.

Washington and Karl Jordan were charged with murder while engaging in drug trafficking on August 17th, 2020.

AllHipHop.com was the first source to confirm Jam Master Jay was dabbling in drug trafficking to supplement his income. His “plug” was allegedly a high-ranking member of the Black Mafia Family.

According to the indictment, Jay acquired 10 kilos of cocaine from his supplier, and Washington and Jordan would distribute the drugs in Maryland with other co-conspirators.

But Jay allegedly decided to cut Washington out of the deal, which precipitated the murder conspiracy.

On October 30th, 2002, Jam Master Jay played video games with Uriel “Pretty Tony” Rincon in the recording studio. Others present that fateful evening included Jay’s business partner Randy Allen, his sister Lydia High, Michael Bonds, and later Jay’s nephew, Rodney “Boe Scagz” Jones.

Around 7:30 PM, Washington and Jordan arrived at the recording studio armed with guns. Lydia High allegedly buzzed Washington in with Jordan in tow.

Jordan is accused of firing two shots. Jam Master Jay, 37, was killed, while Rincon was shot in the leg.

In addition to killing Jam Master Jay, Karl Jordan Jr. is also charged with trafficking large amounts of cocaine in 2017.

Kylie Jenner Defends Travis Scott As Calls For Rapper To “Be Canceled” Intensify

Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner have issued passionate statements after eight people were killed at the Astroworld Festival on Friday in Houston.

Kylie Jenner has rushed to the defense of her boyfriend, Travis Scott, after numerous people were killed at the Astroworld Festival on Friday night (November 5th).

Travis Scott is being criticized on social media for performing as a deadly crowd surged and killed eight people.

Another 300 people were injured during the deadly incident at NRG Park, where 50,000 people bought tickets to the sold-out 2-day festival.

Travis stopped to set multiple times to address people who needed attention in the crowd, but he continued with a 75-minute set featuring Drake.

Kylie, pregnant with Travis’s second child, was at the NRG Park with their 3-year-old daughter Stormi.

She posted and messaged to Instagram, saying Travis had no clue such a serious set of events were unfolding as he performed on stage.

Kylie Jenner issues statement on Astroworld Festival tragedy

“Travis and I are broken and devastated. My thoughts and prayers are with all who lost their lives, were injured, or affected in any way by yesterday’s events,” Kylie Jenner said in a statement. “And also for Travis, who I know cares deeply for his fans and the Houston community. I want to make it clear we weren’t aware of any fatalities until the news came out after the show, and in no world would have continued filming or performing. I am sending my deepest condolences to all the families during this difficult time and will be praying for the healing of everyone who has been impacted.”

Authorities are investigating the fundamental causes of what led to the crowd surge.

Reports suggested a targeted attack occurred after a man was wandering through the crowd and injecting people with an unknown drug.

Houston Police Chief Troy Finner confirmed it appeared a security officer was pricked with something and had to be revived with Narcan, which is used to treat overdoses.

“The security guard was revived in the medical staff did notice a p#### similar to what you would get if somebody was trying to inject. That is one part of it,” Chief Finner told CNN.

Travis Scott addressed the issue on his Instagram and vowed to cooperate with authorities.

“I just want to send out prayers to the to the ones that was lost last night. We’re actually working right now to identify the families so we can help assist them through this tough time. My fans really mean the world to me and I always just really want to leave them with a positive experience,” Travis Scott said.

“Anytime I can make out anything that’s going on, I stop the show, and you know, help them get to help they need. I could just never imagine the severity of the situation. We’ve been working closely with everyone to just try to get to the bottom of this,” Travis Scott continued. “The City Houston, HPD, Fire Department, you know to help us figure this out. So if you have any information please just contact your local authorities. Everybody continue to just keep your prayers. I mean I’m honestly just devastated, and I could never imagine anything like this just happening. I’m going to do everything I can to keep you guys updated and keep guys informed on what’s going on. Love you all.”

Magic Johnson Docuseries About HIV Diagnosis In Production

LFormer basketball ace Magic Johnson will share the story of his shocking 1991 HIV diagnosis and its aftermath in a new Apple TV+ documentary series.

The then-Los Angeles Lakers star was one of the first celebrities to announce he had the virus, which was viewed as a potentially fatal condition primarily affecting gay men.

Johnson not only helped raise awareness of HIV and AIDS but removed much of the stigma surrounding them.

Now, 30 years later, he is revisiting the shattering moment the LA Lakers’ team doctor gave him the terrible news.

“You just sit there and say, ‘What does this mean? Am I gonna die?'” he told U.S. TV presenter Gayle King during a joint interview with his wife, Cookie Johnson, on CBS Mornings.

“I’m asking 100 times, ‘Are you sure?’ And they say, ‘Hey, we ran the tests a couple of times, and yes, you do have HIV.’ And so I just lost it right there.”

Magic and Cookie had married only 45 days before receiving the shocking news, and she was pregnant at the time, but the sportsman’s wife was much more worried her man might die than that he may have been unfaithful to her.

“It wasn’t how he got it that was important to me. It was, ‘You’re possibly going to die.’ And that trumped everything,” she said.

Thankfully, both Cookie and the child she subsequently gave birth to, son Earvin “EJ” Johnson III, both tested negative for the virus.

Magic, meanwhile, admits he quickly got busy because he had to “really learn a lot” about HIV and Aids.

“I had to make sure that I was open-minded enough to ask a lot of questions, go get a lot of information from different people,” he explained.

The hoops legend eventually founded The Magic Johnson Foundation to raise awareness about the virus and pushed government officials to allocate funds for research.

Today, Magic’s HIV is undetectable, but he still takes a daily “cocktail” of medicines, telling King, “everything is great”.

A release date for the four-part series, which will include previously unseen interviews and an “unprecedented look at one of sport’s all-time greats”, according to a statement, has not yet been announced.

When people say Dr. Dre’s name, it is usually with reverence & respect 💯 The man who started his career as a DJ, producer, & vocalist for the World Class Wreckin’ Cru, can surely say that his name is synonymous with West Coast Hip Hop.

As a founding member of N.W.A., he helped break Gangsta Rap into the mainstream and by the time he became a solo artist (and producer), he simply became a staple on the charts.

Artists like Snoop, Eve, Eminem, and 50 Cent point to him as a major influencer in their lives and brands like his labels (Death Row, 1991-1996 & Aftermath 1996 to the present) and Beats by Dre allows him to say that he is one of the richest men in Hip Hop 💰

Fun fact: Dr. Dre’s name was inspired by the basketball player, Julius “Dr. J” Erving.

It was Saturday, November 6, 1982, D.J. O.C. and Crazy Eddie & The Fearless Four headlined a jam at the Eclipse Roller Rink in East New York, Brooklyn. Imagine paying $7.00 to see performing that night a 16-year-old Doug E. Fresh, the first recognized human beatbox, with his Get Fresh Crew brother D.J. Chill Will. Or even better a young DJ Grand Master “D,” before he joined the group that made him an international star, Whodini.

Also on that show was M.C. Tony & The Crew.

Republican Councilman Vincent Kelly Apologizes For Dressing As Flavor Flav And Wearing Blackface

New Jersey councilman is under fire dressing in blackface in 2021. Despite the civil unrest that sparked a huge racial divide across the United States in 2020, the newly elected Vincent Kelly thought it would be funny to celebrate Halloween as the dark-skinned rapper, Flavor Flav.

Yes. You read it right.

He says that he is sorry and that when he bought the costume in 2008, he didn’t know that a white man dressing up as someone he admired, was wrong.

“In 2008 I purchased and wore a Flavor Flav costume to a Halloween party where guests were expected to dress as a celebrity. At the time Flavor Flav’s yelling of ‘yeah boy’ made him incredibly popular, wearing the costume was a celebration of his fame,” he said.

On Friday, a picture from the holiday party when he wore the costume emerged on the internet dressed like the Public Enemy hype man. Judy Walker with the Pitman Anti-Racist Collective shared the photo that was posted on the Republican Councilman’s personal Facebook page to a) expose him but also b) call for an educated correction.

She said, “It’s pretty shocking, but our goal is not to cancel him, it’s to educate him.”

Loretta Winters with the Gloucester County NAACP didn’t sound as altruistic, laying it at the feet of the systemic racism birthed out of America’s lack of race-related tolerance or respect.

She informed the Philadelphia CBS local affiliate, “White folks used to dress up as a minstrel to mock Black people, to exaggerate comedy, to laugh at them. So we take it very serious and it does hurt.”

“It’s unacceptable and it shouldn’t come from our elected officials,” she said. “It tells me that the homework was not done, the homework and the research on the candidates were not done.”

Kelly must have gotten the memo. Less than a day after the picture went viral, he released a statement saying the following:

“Years later I briefly used the picture as a cover photo on my Facebook page during the Halloween season, changed the picture after the season, and frankly forgot about it until recent events.

“I do understand that we live in a very different time and today, even as a celebration of one’s fame, I would not even consider wearing a costume that included blackface. I apologize to anyone who may be hurt by my costume choice of years ago and will soon reach out to the Pitman Anti-Racist Collective so we can hopefully schedule a meeting and have some open, honest dialogue.”

The story is developing.
