Kanye West Gets Sued By The State Of California

Rapper Kanye West, now legally known as Ye, is being sued by the State of California for illegally delaying product shipments. The slow shipping out of his Yeezy products (sneakers, apparel, etc.) is a violation of California’s business code and the artist-turned-fashion-designer may have to face some serious penalties.

According to Yahoo! News, companies are to send products purchased by their customers within a 30-day range.  The authorities contend in their filing that the company, backed by Adidas, “repeatedly violated” this code “by failing to ship items within thirty days and failing to provide adequate delay notices to California consumers, or provide an offer of a refund.”

The law is clear.  If a store does not ship an online order within the designated 30-day timeframe, the consumer should get their money back. If they don’t get their money back from the companies via a full refund, they are to give them “equivalent or superior replacement goods,” and a written delay notice.

Fans said that they were disappointed. While they were willing to stomach the hefty price of the kicks, the prolonged way due to shipping was not an option. Especially when Yeezysupply.com, says to “allow 2-3 business days for your order to process and 3-5 days to ship.”

But is it all Yeezy/ Adidas’ fault?

No. California ports are having a supply chain crisis and it is impacting the retail market across the country.

Adidas is not named in the lawsuit as a defendant. They only want the “Ultralight Beam” billionaire.

Developing.

EST Gee Associates And Business Partners Indicted In Massive Drug Conspiracy

Earlier this week, friends of rapper EST Gee were rounded up by the Feds and arrested in Louisville, Kentucky.

A grand jury has charged ten people with running a massive drug operation throughout the state. The feds claim that Everybody Shines Together sold bulk quantities of methamphetamines, cocaine, sentinel, and heroin.

Several of those charged, including EST Gee’s business partners, were also hit with weapons violations. According to the indictment, Everybody Shines Together members face anywhere from 10 years in prison to life sentences.

Three of the men charged, Khasi Jones, Devonzo Summers, and Barry Reed, have not yet been apprehended and are considered wanted fugitives.

“The gang members arrested last week have terrorized our communities for far too long, but they will be held accountable for their actions,” said FBI Louisville Special Agent in Charge Jodi Cohen. “To those gang members who continue to operate with a blatant disregard for your fellow citizens, know that we are working tirelessly to identify, investigate, and apprehend you and your associates.”

Last month, the legal drama started for the rapper when his business partner Eric Mosley was busted in a Louisville hotel room with a kilo of cocaine, an AK-47, a stolen Zigana PX-9 handgun, and $100,000 in cash.

Scrutiny of the EST gang started in July, when Mosley, EST Gee, and an Alamo Records executive/producer named Nigel Talley posted $300,000 in cash to bail out alleged child killer, Kevon Lawless, sparking outrage.

Police accuse Lawless of breaking into a house in 2020 and killing the baby and her father.

Lawless has since been rearrested for violating the terms of probation for a different charge. He is facing the death penalty for double murder.

So far, EST Gee, who signed to Yo Gotti’s CMG imprint in January, has not been charged with any crimes.

Eric D. Mosley, 30, Zaman Taylor, 21, Khasi Jones, 28, Devonzo Summers, 24, Ricos Mosley, 33, Barry Reed, 20, Cedric Palmer, 25, Aerion Cook, 21, Dazaray Rice, 27, and Darrian Toogood, 24, all of Louisville, are charged with Conspiracy to Possess with the Intent to Distribute and Distribution of Controlled Substances, including methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and heroin.

Various members of the conspiracy are also charged with additional firearms and drug charges.

Beyonce’s Dad Reveals He Launched His Career Managing This Legendary Rapper

Mathew Knowles is a consummate entrepreneur who is best known for fathering two superstars: Beyonce and Solange Knowles.

He founded his Music World Entertainment label in 1992, and thanks to his expertise and guidance, Knowles turned his daughter Beyonce’s group Destiny’s Child into one of the most successful acts in the history of the business.

If it were not for Hip-Hop music, Destiny’s Child might not have been as popular as the group eventually became.

Before managing Destiny’s Child, Mathew Knowles had his sights on success in the rap business in the early 1990s with the first artist he signed to a major label.

During a sit-down with Allison Kugel’s Allison Interviews podcast, Mathew Knowles talked about working in the business prior to his breakout success with Destiny’s Child.

“There was this young man in Houston who had asked me a couple of times to manage him. The first artist that I got a major record deal for was not Destiny’s Child or Beyoncé. It was not Solange. It was for a rapper named Lil’ O. MCA Records was the number one urban record label at the time with Puffy, Mary J. Blige, and Jodeci.”

Lil’ O is very well respected. The rapper is an original member of DJ Screw’s Screwed Up Click, which includes notables like Big Hawk, Big Moe, E.S.G, Fat Pat, Lil’ Flip, Lil’ Keke, Big Mello, the Botany Boyz, Trae the Truth, Z-Ro, and even the late George Floyd amongst others.

Lil’ O’s early recordings even featured vocals from Destiny’s Child before they became world-famous.

Unfortunately, early on, Lil’ O’s career was derailed by stints in jail for drug dealing.

His self-titled debut album on MCA Records was shelved in early 1997 due mainly to legal problems, which prevented him from promoting the release.

Thankfully, Lil’ O got his life together. He started taking business classes at the University of Houston-Downtown and majored in business.

Lil’ O went on to release nine critically acclaimed albums independently without Knowles.

Despite the bumpy ride with Lil’ O, Mathew Knowles developed a thirst for knowledge after his first experience dealing with a major label.

“I went back to school because I believe knowledge is power. For 15 years, I’ve been a college educator, and so I went back to college and took three courses. I went to every seminar I could. I began to build every relationship that I could,” Mathew Knowles revealed.

His education and relationship-building skills led Knowles to have a deeper understanding of the music business, and he applied both with tremendous success while managing Destiny’s Child.

Mathew Knowles is currently using his wizard-like skills for marketing and promotion to promote FlexForChecks.com, a National Minority Health Association initiative to get more Americans vaccinated.

Timbaland Revolutionizing NFTs With Upcoming EP “Opera Noir”

Super producer Timbaland is aiming to revolutionize the NFT space based on his upcoming EP Opera Noir.

Timbo is teaming with Jennifer and Kevin McCoy, who invented the concept of NFTs. Together, they will introduce Mixable Music NFTs using a platform called Monegraph.

“The NFT Producer Mix Series” will feature stems, hooks, and beats from Opera Noir.

Each song from Timbaland’s EP will have five to eight different music-based NFTs comprised of each track’s musical elements, which will produce approximately 50 to 90 digital collectibles per song.

By using Monegraph’s Readymade NFT e-commerce Platform, purchasers will be provided with an online mixing board so they can also create their own versions using Timbaland’s beats.

“Music NFTs are now part of our business. They offer musicians a new way to express themselves and interact with fans,” Timbaland said. “Critical to our industry is the ability to implement the same media rights protection we have in other formats such as streaming, with what we do now in NFTs. With Monegraph’s digital rights controls, we have the intellectual protection needed to safely scale the issuance of NFTs across the music world.”

Monegraph was founded in 2014 by Kevin McCoy. The company gives creators the tools to make their digital NFT’s successful – and secure for their communities.

Timbaland will celebrate the launch of “The NFT Producer Mix Series” with a panel discussion at NeueHouse in New York City on Monday, November 1st.

Snoop Dogg Unveils “The Algorithm” And Thanks Fans For The Love As He Mourns His Mom

Snoop Dogg unveiled his new album The Algorithm to music industry insiders last night (October 26th) at a recording studio in Manhattan.

Despite losing his mother, Beverly Tate, on Sunday (October 24th) due to an undisclosed illness, the rapper was in high spirits.

Snoop, recently appointed Executive Creative Consultant at Def Jam, thanked everyone who came out to listen to his 19th album.

“I been going through some things lately, but this makes me feel good when I can come out and feel love. When I can come out and see the love that my mother instilled in me and give it back to me, so ya’ll make me feel real good tonight,” Snoop Dogg said.

As promised, The Algorithm features some all-stars ranging from Fabolous, Jadakiss, and Dave East to Benny the Butcher and Mary J. Blige.

The West Coast legend started recording the bulk of The Algorithm in New York at Invite Only Studios.

“We started making magic, we started doing what we do to create The Algorithm,” Snoop explained. “I went back to Los Angeles and got with my guys and my girls and started formulating a real project. And I started presenting it to the building and getting the (team at Def Jam) excited about what I was excited about.”

Last week, Snoop dropped the song “Big Subwoofer” by Mount Westmore (Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, E-40, and Too Short) as the first official single off The Algorithm.

“Right now, the algorithm is telling us you have to rap this way, you have to sound this way, but they’re not telling you how it’s supposed to feel. My Algorithm is going to give you a feeling, not a sound,” Snoop Dogg said of the album.

The Algorithm is set to drop on November 12th.

Shotty Horroh’s Premier Battles Reinstate U.K Battle Rap To The Big Stage

During the height of the pandemic, the U.K Battle Rap scene, crippled by COVID-19 restrictions, struggled to stay afloat. Suffering some of the tightest social distancing guidelines, events, even small-scale ones, were banned for about a year.

However, the bleak times are over. Restrictions have eased in the last few months allowing events with ever-increasing crowds. This weekend, Premier Battles held the U.K’s first big-stage event since 2018, and what a return it was!

Premier Battles AP3X

The crowd assembled at the Rebellion in Manchester on Saturday, Oct. 23 for AP3X – a card that looked great on paper and proved incredible in the building. Battle Rap legend Shotty Horroh was in league owner-mode throughout, co-hosting, even selecting battler’s “ring-walk” music.

The crowd went crazy when the co-owner, Bison Briggz, U.K Battle Rap royalty, announced a surprise battle. The revelation that two of the scene’s most promising newcomers, Slester and MOAK were battling added to the anticipation of the already stacked card.

Crow vs. Sam Hypes

Kicking off the event was the battle between exciting newcomer, Crow and Sam Hypes, who’s been putting in work on Premier Battles all year. The battle was a really close fight, Sam showed he’s elevating every battle producing an intense performance barking aggressively on his opponent consistently in all three rounds.

Crow handled his league debut with a level of experience that belies the fact he’s only had 3 prior battles, showing he’s already a problem with his witty wordplay and intricate rapping ability.

Bowski vs. Matter

Next up was UK veterans, Bowski vs. the former PB champion Matter; two incredibly entertaining battlers with the power to effectively use humor to rock the building. And boy did they rock it!

They had the crowd roaring with laughter as they dissed each other in a close back and forth. Though it’s a battle that could have happened years ago, both are now at a peak in their careers, and it proved worth the wait!

Slester v.s MOAK

Then came the style clash between the PB Academy Tournament winner, Scotland’s Slester, and MOAK, the talented poet and rapper from London. Slester was up first and showed he’s been honing his techniques since his days in the Academy. His comedic timing was perfect, his poise…impeccable, and his insults…withering.

MOAK (yes, it’s all caps and it’s “MOAK” not “MO-AK” to paraphrase his slogan) needed to bring something special out of the bag to stand any chance of making it a debatable battle. He quickly won the crowd with his rapid punching proving he was ready for the fight! Between jabs, he landed a haymaker leaving Slester to finish the battle with a new nickname!

MacKenzie vs. Rivers

Premier Battles’ first-ever champion, Rivers took on Scotland’s MacKenzie in a rollercoaster of a battle. Londoner Rivers started strong, displaying the surgical style that makes him so deadly. That is until he cut his first-round short making MacKenzie’s intense first-round look even more effective than it already was. The experienced Scot clowned Rivers effectively in the opener to his second-round, shaking the room to finish the round on a high.

However, the South Londoner was not done yet, delivering an electrifying second that the audience was calling “Round Of The Year.” The fight was far from over and the pair left everything in the ring to finish an incredible battle that will spark conversation when it drops due to the controversial subject matter.

Cojay vs. Georgie Roots

Highly skilled veteran battler, Cojay was up against Londoner Georgie Roots, currently occupying one of the top spots among the U.K’s new crop. There was gritty energy to this one from the offset, mainly due to the spicy faceoff between the pair the week prior. The battle lived up to the anticipation as they went at each other from all angles.

The experienced Cojay had a near-flawless first round that electrified the crowd and Roots delivered a steady dose of real talk in the third. The two were embroiled in a conversation that got a little personal in some places and kept the crowd engaged the whole time.

Shufflo vs. Scapegoats

Finally came the eventual “Battle Of The Night,” the two-on-two headliner. Shufflo – Shuffle-T and Marlo – the de facto U.K two-on-two champions were favorites going in. Their opposition, Raptor and Bobby Rex – Scapegoats – two of the U.K’s most-respected and most-dangerous battlers individually were battling as a duo for the first time. Whether they would get the chemistry right wasn’t up for discussion. Whether they could be good enough on their first time out to compete with the incredibly hard-to-beat Shufflo was a different story.

The result was an epic display of everything you want from a two-on-two. The levels of rapping ability, rhyming, crowd-control, and synchronization on display were exactly what you would expect from Shufflo, credited as being one of the best pairings in the world. The fact that Scapegoats rose to the level of their opponents, and maybe even surpassed it (according to Shufflo’s post-battle interview) says everything you need to know about the classic battle.

Premier Battle’s AP3X proved to be an incredible event, one that displayed the U.K battle scene is alive and well. The momentum created during the rebuild is only going to increase, bringing increasingly exciting battles.

TAP IN! Lil Nas X’s Brother Has Entered The Ring!

The brother of Lil Nas X has stepped into the fray, proving that this battle royale between the “Montero” rapper and Boosie is going to have more fighters than Wrestlemania.

We previously told you that Azealia Banks stepped into the middle of the fray to defend Lil Nas X against the homophobic attacks, proving that even the most horrible people can make the most valid points. Then, we told you that Lil Nas X’s daddy stepped into the ring to defend his son. And this caused Boosie to snap back, probably because it served as a reminder that Boosie’s own daddy wasn’t worth a sh*t and he feels a type of way about it.

And now, the “Montero” rapper’s brother has stepped into the ring, too, to defend both his brother and his daddy.

Not that I have a horse in the race, necessarily, when it comes to these folks — and there’s a conspiratorial part of my mind that wonders whether this is all for clout on everyone’s part — but I’m of the humble opinion that Boosie needs to find his nearly-40-year-old self something that’s diabetically safe to do, because this ain’t it.

I don’t care, at this point, if Lil Nas X rides through the Queen of England’s 100th birthday celebration naked on a horse like Lady F**king Godiva — although if he actually does that, he should shout us out for coming up with the idea — but he’s got five older brothers and a whole lot of friends in Bankhead that don’t play about him. Boosie needs to start researching Medicare Part B plans instead of worrying about what this guy is doing with his career.

Bia: When You Speak Of Nicki Minaj, Speak On Her Like How You Speak On Jay-Z

Nicki Minaj cemented her name among the most successful Hip Hop artists in history. Over the last decade, the New York-bred entertainer secured 119 songs on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, an all-time record for female rappers.

According to her “Whole Lotta Money (Remix)” collaborator, Nicki Minaj is on the same level as G.O.A.T. contender Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter. During an interview with Billboard, Bia shared her take on the leader of the Barbz.

“I always say to people, when you speak of Nicki, you got to speak on her like how you speak on Jay-Z and the greats that laid out the foundation for the people that’s after them,” stated Bia.

The Boston native added, “[Minaj] broke amazing records and she’s made it easier for people like me to come through and do what we do. I’m always going to give her that credit and that respect because she helped me hit another milestone in my career.”

Bia Scores A Big Hit Single, But Faces Criticism For Awards Show Performance

“Whole Lotta Money” is currently Bia’s highest-charting single. The collaboration peaked at #16 on the Hot 100 chart, #6 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, and #4 on the Hot Rap Songs chart.

Despite her commercial achievements, Bia did face criticism for her performance at the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards. Her set included a cameo by “Bia Bia” hitmaker Lil Jon, but viewers still complained that the former Sisterhood of Hip Hop cast member came off as low-energy.

“I think when you wanna be great, you have to accept criticism. Nobody really sees the behind-the-scenes of awards shows or rehearsals or all the things that make up those beautiful events that we love to watch on TV,” Bia told Billboard.

She continued, “So I don’t blame anybody for their criticism. I take it with a grain of salt and I say, ‘OK cool. Catch me next time at my live show,’ then you make your decision, but I don’t take anything too personal in this [game]. I feel like I’m just trying to grow and be better. I think that’s how you should be.”

Cordae Breaks Down Why He Removed YBN From His Stage Name

In 2020, YBN Cordae shortened his name to just Cordae. This led to fans questioning why the Maryland-raised emcee parted ways from his Young Boss N##### crew members YBN Nahmir and YBN Almighty Jay.

“First and foremost, Nahmir and Jay – those always gonna be my brothers in real life. Those are my brothers. I think the world of them cats,” said Cordae last year. “Sometimes as friends, you grow apart and you have different visions for what you want to do. And that’s okay. It’s no love lost.”

Genius recently interviewed Cordae for an episode of the outlet’s “Verified” series. During the on-camera sit-down, Cordae spoke about why he discarded the YBN from his moniker.

“I remember when I dropped YBN. It wasn’t a popular thing at the time. I was getting killed online. And I got tough skin. This is just what comes with the game. I don’t be trippin’ off anything,” said Cordae. “I can’t be talking to kids about ownership when we’re pushing this brand that we don’t even own.”

He added, “Obviously, it goes without saying, it ain’t nothing against Nahmir and Jay. Before I came to the conclusion that I was gonna drop the three letters, I called Nahmir and I asked for his blessing. That was what was most important to me, I don’t care what anybody else thinks.”

Nahmir Says YBN Was Left In The Gutter; Almighty Jay Slams Record Executive

Around the time of Cordae’s name change, it appeared that YBN Nahmir was upset about the status of the Young Boss N##### collective. Nahmir tweeted, “They left this YBN s### in the gutter. Remember that. I’ll turn it up myself.”

Earlier this year, Nahmir blamed “old people” for the YBN breakup. Then YBN Almighty Jay began blasting ART@WAR label founder James McMillan, the record executive who reportedly played a role in the YBN collective signing to Atlantic Records.

Cordae backed Almighty Jay calling out James McMillan. The Lost Boy album creator retweeted Jay’s tweet that accused McMillan of being a “fraud.” That same day Cordae also retweeted a Twitter user who posted, “Free @ybnalmightyjay smh.”

In June, Cordae announced the launch of his own record label called Hi Level. A few weeks earlier, the two-time Grammy nominee earned his first Hot 100 chart entry as a featured guest on Eminem’s “Killer (Remix)” along with Jack Harlow.

Boosie Badazz Claps Back At Lil Nas X’s Dad

The Boosie Badazz versus Lil Nas X feud continues. The online back-and-forth between the two rappers now includes LNX’s father joining the rivalry.

Over the weekend, Lil Nas X joked about making a song with Boosie in an Instagram Live video. This led to Boosie calling Lil Nas X a “f#####” and telling him to commit suicide.

Twitter removed Boosie’s hateful tweet after users reported the post as abusive and harmful. Boosie did not apologize for the homophobic rhetoric. Instead, the 38-year-old performer insisted he has widespread support from around the world.

Robert Stafford & Lil Nas X

In response to Boosie’s over-the-top tweet, Lil Nas X’s father posted an Instagram Story defending his son. Robert Stafford wrote:

How the hell you’re a gangsta rapper promoting drugs, gun violence, degrading women and getting high every video talking about you’re for the kids? Man, sit your old man looking ass down. The game has [passed] you. We real Bankhead over here. Not like the guy who claims it.

@rlstafford_sang

Boosie Badazz returned to Twitter in order to fire back at Lil Nas X’s dad. Once again, Boosie decided to attack LNX’s sexual orientation by mocking the fact that he is openly gay.

“DON’T GET MAD AT ME CAUSE YOUR SON CAME OUT LIKE THAT LOL 🤷🏽‍♂️ I KNOW IT HURTS,” tweeted Boosie. Many of the replies and quote-tweets connected to Boosie’s tweet accused him of being a “down-low” closeted gay man.

In addition, someone edited Boosie Badazz’s Wikipedia page to read, “Torrence Ivy Hatch Jr. (born November 14, 1982), better known by his stage name Bussy BadAzz or simply Bussy (formerly Lil Boosie), is a washed up American rapper who spends his free time being angry about men loving other men.”

Azealia Banks Slams Boosie Over Lil Nas X Comments

Boosie has received some heavy internet backlash after his most recent homophobic comments directed towards Lil Nas X.

He had been going at X for months, unable to deal with the “Montero” rappers’ openness regarding his sexuality. Boosie was vilified widely after his last round of remarks, now Azealia Banks has made her views known, and she did not hold back.

Now, in a series of posts, she calls out both Boosie and Dave Chappelle, branding them “highkey embarrassing.”

“Dave chappelle is also about four years late to the transphobia outrage attention grab. And Lil boosie gets no extra streets cred for antagonizing a young black kid for who he chooses to love,” wrote Banks on her Instagram Stories. “Lil nas x is not the catalyst for the generational debris left behind from centuries of psychological terrorism and the sexual exploitation of black men AND women on southern plantations via forced slave breeding/buckbreaking/bed wenching.”

Lil Nas X Is Not Responsible For Your State Of Mind

She continued adding that Lil Nas X didn’t invent “systemic oppression thru food apartheid, anti-literacy laws and the for profit prison industrial complex.” She added X is not responsible for those who continue to value those trappings and wear their “trauma & oppression as a badge of honor.”

“The fact that you have the confidence to publicly suggest he kill himself for living a life free of all the things that have completely obliterated your ability to see yourself as anything other than a ward of the state is absolutely heartbreaking.”

Then Azealia added that those with that mentality are “on your way to becoming a felon.”

She continued: “There’s a lot of corporate money invested in clandestinely and insidiously putting yoou and other black men n situations to trap you. It’s the hip-hop to prison pipeline. This is how they make their money. And keep you out of power.”

She added her belief that Chappelle is “more than obviously attracted to transwomen. And that is okay!” She ended with “Life is short, explore!”

Dealer Pleads Guilty To Supplying Drugs That Led To Mac Miller’s Death

One of the three drug dealers accused of selling counterfeit oxycodone Mac Miller pills laced with fentanyl agreed to plead guilty.

TMZ reports at the hearing on Monday (Oct. 25), Steven Miller agreed to plead guilty to federal charges of distribution of fentanyl. In exchange, an additional charge of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance was dropped.

Walter still faces up to 20 years in federal prison. Additionally, he could be subject to a lifetime of supervised release and a fine of $1 million “All parties agree that this is a just and fair disposition of the case,” Walter’s lawyer said in a statement. The prosecution recommends a sentence of 17 years in prison and 5 years supervised release.

Prosecutors highlight the fact that Walter’s guilty plea means knew he was selling Mac Miller counterfeit oxycodone pills laced with fentanyl. Furthermore, Walter was on supervised release for his involvement in a prior drug case when he sold Mac the pills.

According to the plea agreement, filed in federal court in the Central District of California, Walter “knowingly and intentionally directed Ryan Michael Reavis to distribute fentanyl in the form of counterfeit oxycodone pills, to Cameron James Pettit” on September 4th, 2018. Reavis was the runner and Walter, the dealer who went on to deliver the pills to Mac Miller.

Miller died three days later in September 2018. The toxicology results revealed Mac had fentanyl, cocaine, and alcohol in his system. He was only 26 years old at the time of his death.

Jeezy Says “Hov Got Hands” Reveals Jay-Z Refused To Leave Him Behind After Brawl

Jeezy and Jay-Z have had a longstanding relationship. During an appearance on TV One’s “Uncensored” The Snowman revealed some of the history between the pair, including an incident where hands got thrown.

“Me and Hov, mentally we was connected because even if we wasn’t doing music we would rock with each other in a sense because we both had old souls and we both came from the same struggle,” Jeezy explained. “But the only thing is, his struggle started before mine and he started walking his path before me. So, I have to look at somebody like that how I would look at somebody in the hood who was already getting money before I was.”

Jeezy revealed he wondered how Jay was able to keep progressing in business and stay out of the streets. “The craziest thing, me and Hov don’t even talk about music,” he shared. “It’s like, rare. It’s one of them one-off things.”

He recalled an incident when his team got locked up while they were on tour. “I ain’t have no stage manager, I ain’t have no manager, no nothing. Just me,” Jeezy reminisced. He went on to say Hov had done that a few times, even in serious situations where indictments were handed down and his record label “turned they back on” him.

“Hov’s Got Hands”

He Continued. “They wouldn’t pick up my calls, they wasn’t trying to hear what I was saying. Hov called me,” said Jeezy. “A lot of people don’t know, we done been in some fistfights and everything. Some things popped off in Vegas… I gotta say, Hov’s got hands, ’cause we was getting down. We was back to back. I hear his assistant say, ‘Jay, get in the car!’ and he was like ‘I ain’t leaving Jeezy!’ I was like, I rock with him.”

He sums up their relationship by saying, “For me, I just respect somebody who has enough respect for themselves not to lose their integrity to please people.”

African MegaStar Yemi Alade Talks Being “Mama Africa,” Taking On The U.S., Her New Tour & Music

Upon first meeting, Nigerian megastar Yemi Alade’s personality is instantly addictive and then there is her music. The radiance she emanates is the actual precursor to her infectious brand of Afrobeat that is so potent she’s dubbed “Mama Africa.” In the motherland, she is already a force of positive energy, all the while expanding her empire.

Inside of WonWorld Studios, Yemi engages in small talk, but her gravitational pull has her as the center of attention. The cameraman flashes numerous candid shots in her travel clothing. The 30-something came straight from the plane to the studio for this interview with Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur, who seems mildly anxious about this interview. Perhaps he knows he is interviewing a proverbial one-of-one? Or maybe, just maybe, he realizes this is a Halley’s Comet moment. Regardless, this conversation is a must-see.

“Mama Africa” is more than just a singer with over 14 million followers on Instagram alone. She is a songwriter, actress, activist, and ambassador. Signed to Effyzzie Music Group, she has scored hit after hit since her first single “Johnny” in 2014. She’s got new music for her fans, a tour, and is destined to take the United States by storm. Delve into this exclusive interview and find out why the whole world loves Yemi Alade.

Jeremiah GvG Releases Latest Single “DOING GOOD”

Based out of New Jersey, independent artist Jeremiah GvG has been popping off in the music industry starting in 2018 with his unique sound. After the passing of his older brother who was a musical artist as well, he felt inspired to start creating his own music in honor of his brother and to show the world that no matter what happens in your life to keep moving forward and to hold God close. While achieving many things throughout his life, one of his greatest is creating a new and unique sound while establishing a strong social media presence and cultivating a team around him.

When asked about who inspires him musically, he states Travis Scott, Juice WRLD, Kid Cudi, Kanye West, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and Tame Impala. Although if there were one musical artist, he would collaborate with it would be Travis Scott.

Struggling with his own mental health issues as well, it’s extremely important for Jeremiah GvG that his audience feels relieved that someone out there feels their struggles and to make people understand that God is always on their side. His latest single “DOING GOOD” produced by LilRebahh, is one of our favorite tracks so far. Jeremiah GvG is also dropping a “DOING GOOD” music video as well as another single called “Work” in the next few months.
