A Twitter user suggested “there really isn’t a single suitable matchup” for The Roots. Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson, the drummer for the Philadelphia-bred band, responded to the fan.
“Actually: we got a nice offer—and a somewhat nice unexpected ‘not capn obvious’ matchup that even I didn’t think about (so obvious) time didn’t allow & I want this album out & see what the temperature is first,” tweeted Questlove.
Actually: we got a nice offer—and a somewhat nice unexpected “not capn obvious” matchup that even I didn’t think about (so obvious) time didn’t allow & I want this album out & see what the temperature is first.
It has been seven years since The Roots dropped the …And Then You Shoot Your Cousin studio LP. A deluxe version of their classic second album, Do You Want More?!!!??!, was re-released earlier this year.
So far, Verzuz organizers have put together 2021 battles such as Ashanti vs Keyshia Cole, Raekwon vs Ghostface, Redman vs Method Man, Eve vs Trina, Bow Wow vs Soulja Boy, The Lox vs Dipset, and Fat Joe vs Ja Rule.
“The Advocate” is reporting that JayDaYoungan has been arrested for accessory to second-degree murder and obstruction of justice in connection to a deadly altercation at a trail ride last year.
They report that the rapper sheriff deputies booked into Tangipahoa Parish Jail last Thursday (September 16).
In an email to “The Advocate” sheriff’s spokesman Jimmy Travis confirmed that the warrant stemmed from a deadly altercation at a trail ride in northern Tangipahoa Parish more than a year ago that left one person dead and two more injured. It is not yet known what role JaDaYoungan played in the incident, authorities have yet to confirm this.
Scott’s bond was set at $175,000, which he posted Monday, Travis said.
It was reported earlier this year in April that the August 2020 shooting stemmed from an altercation between two rival gangs and resulted in the arrest of seven people law enforcement say were involved in the incident.
The shooting happened Aug. 8, 2020, around 7:30 p.m. in Roseland, where a crowd of around 100 people gathered and multiple gunmen opened fire, officials said at the time.
Zion Hutcherson, 21, was killed in the shooting although officials do not believe she was the intended target.
The rapper was arrested twice in 2020 on unrelated domestic violence charges. He was arrested in February on charges of hitting a pregnant woman and again in October on charges that he punched and grabbed a different woman.
In March of this year, JayDaYoungan’s ex-girlfriend also accused him of assaulting her while she was heavily pregnant.
Nelly is being given his flowers while he can still smell them, picking up the most prestigious award of the night at the upcoming “BET Hip-Hop Awards.” The rapper and country music star will receive BET’s 2021 “I Am Hip Hop” Award in recognition of his distinguished career and contributions going back to the early 2000s.
“I am honored to receive this award and humbled to be in such great company of past artists who have received this award,” said Nelly in a statement. “I have been blessed to work with some incredible people in my career, making twenty-two years go by in the blink of an eye. This award isn’t just about Nelly; it is about my fans, BET, and the people that continue to support me and allow me to do what I love to do.”
The award comes 22 years into Nelly’s career and will celebrate all his career accomplishments. Nelly hasn’t actually won a BET award in all his time in the game, one of the few accolades he was missing out on. Nelly joins an exclusive club of previous award winners including KRS-One, Ice Cube, Salt-n-Pepa, Rakim, MC Lyte, LL Cool J, Snoop Dogg, and Lil Wayne. Last year’s recipient of the award was rapper, record executive, actor, and entrepreneur, Master P.
Also up for awards on the night are Cardi B, Lil Durk, and Megan Thee Stallion who are in the lead for most nominations with an incredible 9 each followed by Drake who has to settle for 8. Tyler the Creator and Metro Boomin are almost among some of the most nominated acts.
The 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards go down on October 5. Have a look at some of the event’s best cyphers over the years.
Drake, Fat Joe, and DJ Khaled linked up together on Monday night (September 20) for a dinner feast fit for a king, or three!
In footage that is being widely circulated on social media, the three hitmakers can be seen sitting down at a banquet hall-sized table covered with food.
Standing at the head of the table addressing his chef, Khaled asks “Melissa what do we have for dinner tonight?” Amid laughter from the guests, Chef Melissa goes on to list off a menu of food from around the world including lobster, king crab, curry goat, homemade beef patties, calamari, mascarpone roasted cherries, a leg of lamb, and various other delicious sounding dishes!
Fat Joe, looking and sounding a little tipsy interrupts Chef Melissa’s description of her charred Chinese long beans as the table once again descends into laughter.
Among the images being shared from the get-together is one of Khaled showing something on his phone to Drake and Fat Joe. Whatever it is, the three are staring intently.
Fat Joe recently sparked a debate following his comments likening his “Verzuz” opponent, Ja Rule to Canadian rapper, Drake.
“No disrespect to your Hip Hop roots, you’re a pop star,” Joe told Ja Rule. “I always tell everybody you was the Drake before Drake. You had hit after hit after hit after hit.”
The success of Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy” album has led to comparisons with The King of Pop himself, the late, great Michael Jackson. Billboard sparked the debate by posting a Tweet on Saturday (September 18) asking, “Is Drake in 2021 now as big as Michael Jackson or The Beatles at their peaks?”
Is Drake in 2021 is now as big as Michael Jackson or The Beatles at their peaks? Let's look at some of the factors behind Drake's incredible chart bow.https://t.co/CE6oM8pN5D
50 Cent has spoken out following this year’s Emmys after white actors took home all the major acting awards despite a record number of nominations this year for people of color.
All 12 awards for the lead and supporting actor in the comedy, drama, and limited series categories went to white actors. 49 people were nominated across the acting and reality categories, a record high for the awards show. Notable nominees included the late Michael K. Williams and “Pose” star Mj Rodriguez. Soon after the show the hashtag #EmmySoWhite was revived and quickly became a trending topic.
50 wasn’t at all happy about this and took to his Instagram to share a screenshot of a “Variety” article titled “No actors of color win at Emmys despite record nominee lineup.” He captioned the since-deleted post with: “Listen the Emmys still has a separate bathroom for colored folks. I’m gonna put the NAACP Awards on the air at the same time and f### up there numbers. No, they really should be afraid of me. I’m different.”
50 has been a vocal critic of the Emmys in recent years blasting them back in 20019 for the lack of recognition for his crime drama series, “Power.” “The EMMY’S can kiss my Black ass in slow motion. F### em I’m #1 they a bunch of Bengay my back hurt smelling ass old people anyway.”
He clearly felt the same way a year later saying, “Ok here it is Emmy’s. My Black ass for your consideration to kiss. F### your organization I only care about NAACP awards.”
At the same time a man who says “Power” is the story of his life is suing 50 Cent. According to him, Fiddy is now bullying him and is asking the court to intervene before he takes matters in his own hands!
Continuing his mission for police reform, Jay-Z’s team Roc sued the Kansas City Police Department for allegedly covering up instances of police misconduct.
ABC News report that the lawsuit was filed in Wyandotte County, Kansas’s district court on Monday (September 20) with Team Roc suing for access to records including those related to the training and supervision of KCKPD officers.
Team Roc’s attorney, Alex Spiro says that the documents previously provided by the KCKPD were “not sufficient,” and that “the government has attempted to block our access to those files, and so we’re suing to see what they don’t want us to see.”
Nancy Chartrand, public information officer of the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department, told ABC News in a statement that The Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City have provided some but not all of the records previously requested. “Once the petition has been thoroughly reviewed, the Unified Government will follow-up by filing a response.”
Team Roc, the philanthropic arm of the hip-hop mogul’s record label, Roc Nation allege that although KCKPD has agreed to provide documents “pertaining to the complaints made against members of the Investigative Division,” they “refused to produce documents pertaining to any steps that the City has taken in response to those Complaints, including any investigations or disciplinary proceedings initiated as a result of the complaints.”
The lawsuit comes amid requests from local activists for a probe of the KCKPD by the U.S Department of Justice following a spate of recent incidents accusing the Kansas City, Kansas police of alleged misconduct and discrimination.
According to ABC News, the lawsuit details several of these incidents including an officer who is charged with committing sex crimes involving a minor, two officers charged with a felony and misdemeanor assault over the mistreatment of an inmate, officers indicted on charges of stealing from homes where they were serving search warrants as well as a federal lawsuit in which a Black female KCKPD officer sued the department for alleged race and gender discrimination.”
Team Roc says “These documents will help identify the scope of the problem, any potential evidence of a cover-up, and also the potential causes.”
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation says that the exceptions include ‘most personnel records’ as well as records of criminal probes and intelligence information. Team Roc says they want to see whether “complaints are being seriously addressed and whether there is sufficient oversight and supervision over the KCKPD.”
The trapper turned rapper/CEO delivers a harsh reminder, ‘’Sometimes you gotta remind these n#####!’’ Gasman raps and then adlibs in agreement with the popular cultural and social media catchphrase ‘’ON GOD’’. Anyone who has endured the environment and adversity of the streets and risen to success to provide, make money, and a name for themselves can relate ‘’ON GOD‘’.
Karen Civil is facing another scamming allegation, this time accusing her of defrauding a nonprofit organization in Haiti.
In a series of Twitter posts, a woman named Melissah Prato detailed how Karen Civil allegedly deceived her and a nonprofit called Sow A Seed in 2014. Prato said Civil was brought in to be an ambassador for the organization yet attempted to “thoroughly profit” from its work in Haiti.
According to Prato, Karen Civil was contacted to be an ambassador for Sow A Seed as it was planning to break ground on a playground and help a school in Croix-des-Bouquets. But instead of contributing an expected $41,000 to the project and promoting the organization, Civil allegedly exploited Sow A Seed and used photo ops to make it look like she was responsible for the nonprofit’s work on the playground.
“So here we are, with all @SAScharity members – on nonstop calls planning this trip for her,” Prato explained. “In between visiting orphanages, the school where the playground is, we incorporated fun stuff (i.e. wahoo, mupanah, observatoire) – gave her security, blende cars, full service.”
She noted, “So all of this is at the expense of @SAScharity &sponsors (she only covered her flight and 1,500 for the groundbreaking). We send her the contract &the information for the first part of her payment (so called 41k) The dates are getting closer to travel date (Nov 3-7).”
Now do you see @SAScharity anywhere in the caption? Photo? Playground name? Title? NO. She was given a list of hashtags to follow (that she agreed on) and she was supposed to tag us as our ambassador. So here we are with all there red flags. It gets better … #KarenCivil
Prato said Civil continually avoided Sow A Seed’s attempts to obtain the $41,000. Civil also promised to provide computers to the children, but nothing was ever delivered to the kids in Haiti.
“Everytime we talk about the first half of the payment, she gives us the run around. Meanwhile, we’re planning &we’ve never been ‘scammed’ so we’re riding off of ‘good intent at this point,” Prato wrote. “Still waiting for 1st half of this 41k. Basically her date for travel arrives.”
She added, “At this point contract is signed but no money out of the 41k has been sent and in the back and forth, she had requested we print a big check for her photo opp during the groundbreaking – since we’re used to honest people, we’re still riding off good intent.”
The situation got worse at the groundbreaking. Civil brought out “Live Civil” shirts for kids to wear in photo ops, which included a picture of her with a $41,000 novelty check, and avoided promoting Sow A Seed in social media posts about its work in Haiti.
So again out of us trusting her on good intent, we allowed this whole photo op to happen. Including a photo with a said 41k check – which at that point we had not received 1$ from (she had only paid the 1,500 for the groundbreaking ceremony). #KarenCivilpic.twitter.com/TDTQG9XN4O
Once Civil’s trip was over, she began a media campaign for the trip that didn’t mention Sow A Seed. Prato said Civil even edited one of the organization’s press releases and put out her own version.
Civil allegedly ignored Sow A Seed throughout this campaign. As this happened, news articles claimed she donated $41,000 to break ground on the playground.
“So the @SAScharity board meets and decides enough is enough,” Prato wrote. “They wait until December 15th – 3pm to see if said funds would arrive. NADA. So then the attorney sends her a letter to terminate the partnership. At this point, she takes the lead.
She continued, “because she has access to more media and publishes that she’s cutting ties with @SAScharity – WHERE? Unamused face meanwhile, she leaves on her page, all over the internet, photos/videos/press releases of those kids who got no money, no playground, no laptops.”
Civil issued the following statement to AllHipHop.com:
“8 yrs ago, I tried to partner with an organization to give back to my home country. The trip was a beautiful experience, however the initial org I was working with had crafted efforts that would have been inaccessible to the children aimed to serve. Unwilling to make the playground more accessible to the people who would use it, I regrouped with aternative (sic) community leaders & local organizations.
Another organization (formerly known as JBF Worldwide) helped me fulfill my initial want to bring STEM equipment to serve the Haitian youth. I was able to built our own Live Civil computer lab at an orphanage, provided computers and Beats by Dre headphones for active learning w/ assistance of Lunion Suite.
I have since done other activations including post-earthquake relief in partnership with Hope for Haiti for the last three years.
I know it’s really easy to project and vilify me at this time, but what I will not allow is for anyone to discredit or diminish the incredible work I have done and continue to do in Haiti.
Right now my Haitian brothers and sisters need our help. As we speak, thousands of Haitian people are being deported without being offered their legal opportunity to file for asylum. The deportation to Haiti must be stopped. Please visit HaitianBridge.org for more information.
T.I. is firing back at his accusers, his critics and many more on the single “F### Em” featuring Lil Jon.
Less than a week after T.I. and his wife Tiny avoided charges in a sexual assault case, the veteran rapper has lots to say to his detractors on his new song “F### Em.” The track is anchored by a sample of the Lil Jon and the Eastside Boyz hit “I Don’t Give A F###” as Tip goes off on the allegations against him, among other topics.
“Lying ass hoe better shut that/Upset cause they ass ain’t up yet/Listen ain never gave no f### bout a b####/If I did hoe gimme my f### back/Listen never gave a f### about them/Pretty hoes stay in my DM/Ain never had a problem getting trim, lil’ mama/Yo p#### ain’t worth per diem,” he raps.
T.I.’s opening verse includes a jab at VH1, which suspended production on his reality show when sexual abuse allegations against him and his wife emerged. Tip continues to insist all the accusations are false.
“On my life me and my wife/Run this city can’t snatch these stripes/We don’t care what they talking bout f### them lies/Just mad ‘cause they bankroll ain’t this size/Mask on, mask off, we outside/Tell VH1, shawty, we gon’ slide/Anything we can ever lose over lies people told on us, then it never was ours,” he spits.
T.I. also has words for anyone criticizing his defense of DaBaby’s homophobic comments at Rolling Loud Miami. Tip reiterates he has no issue with someone being gay, but he’s got a problem with people trying to “cancel” him over his opinions.
“Aye, listen, I don’t hate you if you gay/But n#### I’ma say what the f### I wanna say/Listen, really all I care bout is my family and the city of Atlanta/Been the s### with dealers, dancers/Ain’t no way for you to cancel/In my comments with that dumb s###/To be honest, you can vanish/And no back and forth, no banter/I’m not here for you to handle/You don’t like me change the channel/On there too, suck to be you/N#### what I care you don’t like what I do/N#### ain’t tryna be nothing like you,” he raps in the second verse.

The Kid LAROI’s “Stay” collaboration with Justin Bieber is back at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Two weeks after losing its top spot to BTS’ “Butter,” The Kid LAROI’s popular single regained its position atop the chart. The Justin Bieber-assisted song also became the biggest radio hit of the week, reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s Radio Songs chart.
According to MRC Data, “Stay” received 79.3 million radio airplay audience impressions in the week ending September 16. It also racked up 27.1 million streams and 12,500 downloads in the U.S. during this time period.
The Kid LAROI’s “Stay” initially ascended to No. 1 on the Hot 100 in August. It spent four weeks at the top of the chart before dropping to No. 2 behind BTS’ “Butter.” Last week, the track fell to No. 6 as Drake’s “Way 2 Sexy” featuring Future and Young Thug debuted at No. 1.
“Stay” is the first Hot 100 No. 1 hit of The Kid LAROI’s career. Last month, the Australian artist celebrated the achievement by thanking his fans via social media.
“Thank you to every single one of you mfs for streaming, buying and supporting the fuuuuck out of this record & thank you to my brother @justinbieber for being apart of this and going so hard for me constantly,” he wrote on Instagram. “This is not only a big moment for me, but a really big moment for Australia. growing up all I ever wanted to do was “make it big” in America and show everyone what we have to offer.”
The Kid LAROI’s “Stay” appears on the deluxe edition of his F*ck Love mixtape, which was originally released in 2020. Over the past year, he’s added 20 songs to the project in a strategy that helped score him a No. 1 album on the Billboard 200.
Kanye West spent $57.3 million to purchase a lavish new home in Malibu, California.
According to TMZ, Kanye West paid the hefty price to own a nearly 4,000 square-foot property designed by Tadao Ando. The Japanese architect was the 1995 winner of the Pritzker Architecture Prize, which is considered to be the Nobel Prize of architecture.
Kanye West’s house is located on the beach and overlooks the Pacific Ocean, but it is described as resembling a military bunker due to its abundance of concrete and reinforced steel. The three-story home includes four bedrooms, four full bathrooms and a half bath.
The Ando-designed home spent well over a year on the market before Yeezy decided to buy it. The unique property was first listed in May 2020 and didn’t generate widespread demand.
A real estate source told TMZ the Malibu house only appealed “to a very specific buyer.” The spot is just a 30-minute drive away from where Kanye West and his estranged wife Kim Kardashian built a residence in Hidden Hills. Kardashian and their children still live in the Hidden Hills home.
Kanye West is coming off the release of his 10th studio album, Donda. After multiple delays, ‘Ye finally dropped the LP in August.
Donda debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, becoming the G.O.O.D. Music founder’s 10th LP to reach the top of the chart. His latest project accomplished the feat by selling 309,000 equivalent album units in its first week.
There’s a ton of talent that comes out of Queens, New York, and Cream Da Villain is next up.
On his latest single and visual titled “Mirages,” Cream spits, “opened up a couple businesses, b#### we enterprising. I be in the studio, bad b#### gives me massages. Hopped out on a n#### b####, she think she seeing mirages. So many trap phones think I pay rent Verizon. When it comes to beef, my n##### never hide we slidin.”
Cream represents that hard-hitting, gritty hip-hop we all know and love, straight from the streets into the studio. His lyrics are inspired by real-life experiences and events, exuding nothing short of confidence, authenticity, and a spitfire flow that does not go unnoticed. With his previous single “No Number,” which began as a freestyle, Cream talks his s### while wearing his heart on his sleeve.
Immigrating from the DR to the States is a journey in itself, and Cream gives hope to the masses that they too can make their wildest dreams come true. The true definition of a hustler, the rising star isn’t just a recording artist, but he proudly owns multiple businesses. Last year, Cream created his own Thriller Recording Studio NYC, serving as a hub for artists, engineers and producers to record and access all their musical needs.
AllHipHop: Talk about immigrating from the DR to New York, how old were you?
Cream Da Villain: I went to the Bronx first when I came from the DR, I was 7 years old. I went to the Bronx for 3 years, it was crazy up there so we went to Queens. Which wasn’t too much better, but it was a little more calm. Queens got everything: all races, everybody. I grew up around everybody.
AllHipHop: What was the reality of your upbringing there?
Cream Da Villain: S### man, just trying to make a name for yourself like everybody. I’ve been Cream since I was a little kid.
AllHipHop: How’d you get that name?
Cream Da Villain: Some older dude gave it to me when I was little. I guess that’s when the whole “Cash Rules Everything Around Me” was poppin’. I didn’t even understand it. I ran with it and started tagging it up, started doing graffiti. I got arrested for graffiti when I was 12 for tagging up Cream, so I couldn’t tag it up no more. But everybody knew me as Cream, so I started rapping in high school. Regular s### like everybody.
AllHipHop: Biggest influences coming up?
Cream Da Villain: In high school, I was bumping Cam’ron and Dipset, 50 Cent for sure, G-Unit. My school was split between 2 groups. It was Dipset and G-Unit, we used to beef. I was G-Unit, we were a little more thorough.
AllHipHop: Favorite 50 Cent song?
Cream Da Villain: S###, “Many Men.” That s### gives me the chills, not going to lie.
AllHipHop: When did you decide to get into music?
Cream Da Villain: I wanted to do music forever, since I was in high school. That’s it, that’s all I wanted to do. I didn’t want to do anything else. I said “I can’t be at no desk, I’m too jittery for a desk job.” I move around too much. I wanted to be a rapper, be in the studio. Got me some money, built the studio. [laughs]
AllHipHop: “Mirages” out now, who or what inspired this record?
Cream Da Villain: We was in my studio. My producer Dave Supreme, he just played the beat. I said “Yo, what the f### is that?” I heard that f###### beat, I said “man, lemme go in right now.” That was it, I didn’t even think about it. I just went in.
AllHipHop: You say you’re making music for the dope boys, why does your music resonate with them?
Cream Da Villain: For some reason, I feel like I can talk to them. Probably because of my past. I used to deal here and there, a couple things back in the day. I feel like I could talk to them, you know?
AllHipHop: How would you describe your sound?
Cream Da Villain: It’s New York mixed with a whole bunch of sh-t, because I’ve been everywhere. I’ve been down South in the A for a while, I’m out here in LA now. I f### with Detroit n#####. It’s mixed with a whole gumbo of sh-t. I don’t really try to keep it too lyrically New York type s###, but I still keep it New York. You can hear I’m from New York when I speak.
AllHipHop: Where was the video shot?
Cream Da Villain: The video was shot in my hood, on my block. I brought the Rolls Royce out, n##### was driving it. Everybody was driving it but me. I rented it for 2 or 3 days from my man.
AllHipHop: Why didn’t you get to drive it?!
Cream Da Villain: I wanted to drive it. I wanted everybody to drive it. I was sitting in the back, chillin’. Smoking weed and s###. N##### was hyped, n##### never seen a f###### Rolls Royce in person. Not in New York, you know? It’s different out there. LA, you see that s### everywhere.
AllHipHop: Best memory from the video shoot?
Cream Da Villain: Just watching all my n##### enjoy it, watching everybody enjoy the fact that the car was out there. We had the whole cameras, lights, and everything. Everybody came out, it was pretty cool.
AllHipHop: What’s the reality of the independent grind?
Cream Da Villain: It’s dope, I ain’t gon’ front. I could do whatever I want. I could drop when I want, work with who I want. I’m about to sign a distribution deal right now.
AllHipHop: What is it you want fans to get from your story?
Cream Da Villain: S### man, you can make it too. Even if you’re not born here, I wasn’t born here. I didn’t know English. I speak Spanish, I just came from DR. Everybody’s like, “Man, you gotta do DR music. You gotta do Spanish music!” I’m like “Alright.” I f### with it, I’ve tried. But coming from nothing and having your own s###, your own label, people f###### with you.
AllHipHop: What inspired “No Number”?
Cream Da Villain: That was a freestyle. The same way, it was the beat. Some dude sent me from the beat, I think he’s from Canada. I just liked the beat. Whenever I like a beat, I throw it on automatically and I go in. I don’t even think about it. I don’t do too much, I don’t write. It gotta be the beat. If you hear me on a song, it’s because I like the beat.
AllHipHop: What producers do you like?
Cream Da Villain: Mainstream, I like a bunch of n##### man. I like 808 Mafia, I like Southside. TM88, that’s my mans. I f### with him. His s### is crazy. I f### with AnonXmous, he did “Anaconda” for Nicki Minaj. I like a lot of people’s s###. Underground, I f### with all my n#####. My producers. I signed a bunch of producers.
AllHipHop: What’s the Gastronauts?
Cream Da Villain: Oh yeah, this is my weed company: Gastronauts. That’s why I’m out here in the West, getting the weed up. Meeting with growers, trying to get the best smoke. Now, it’s legal over there in New York. That’s crazy to me. I’m smoking in front of the cops and they don’t even say nothing, I for sure thought it was a goner. Trying to get some good smoke. I like weed, and it makes money.
AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio?
Cream Da Villain: Weed. I need either water or Gatorade, I’ll be good with that. I don’t sip lean no more. I used to fall asleep sipping lean. S###, my homies forreal. I don’t really like girls in the studio like that. They distract me, I start talking to them. And good beats. I hate when I’m in the studio, I’ll be in a session and I can’t find no good beats for 2 or 3 hours. I wasted my whole time, I don’t even want to be there.
AllHipHop: Do you usually record back in Queens?
Cream Da Villain: I record everywhere. I got a mobile studio too so I take it everywhere, on vacation. I did some songs on the album in Florida. I really record everywhere, I could record in a f###### bedroom.
AllHipHop: What can we expect from your new album Business As Usual?
Cream Da Villain: A bunch of bangers. Some heat, some real heat. I picked out the best beats I feel right now that I like, s### I would listen to. Car music type s###, makes you speed. A bunch of heat man, real s###. Nothing fabricated. Everything I used to do, I don’t do it any more. [laughs]
AllHipHop: Are you talking about you moving on from it? Or…
Cream Da Villain: Oh nah, I talk about it like I’m in there. It’s for people who are in it to really [feel it], but I really don’t do nothing anymore.
AllHipHop: What does it mean to have Thriller Recording Studio?
Cream Da Villain: It helped me out a lot in my career because I can record wherever I want. I got a good team around me. I built a good team in there and it’s profitable, it’s making money. It’s always booked out, I gotta cancel sessions to record. Everybody in the studio told me they’re real grateful for it. I gave them a home to be in, work, and build their craft. It’s a good thing, probably keeps them out of trouble too. They’re in the studio instead of being outside.
AllHipHop: Goals yourself as an artist at this point of your career?
Cream Da Villain: S###, I’m trying to hit a couple M’s forreal. A couple millions. If it’s a hit record? Cool. If it’s through my peoples? Even better. All my producers get a hit or something, that’s great. I’m trying to get some M’s and really build some sh-t. Be on some Young Dolph sh-t.
AllHipHop: What’re you most excited for next?
Cream Da Villain: I’m really actually excited for this lil deal. I want to see what they can do for me, marketing-wise. Because I didn’t really have anybody doing marketing for me, or putting it out. I don’t even market it good for myself. People say “Yo, you gotta post more.” I’m like, “Yo I posted twice, that’s it.” If it did what it did, it got it. I ain’t gonna lie, my sh-t’s been going up right now so I keep posting. I’ve been dropping consistently, that’s what people want to see.
AllHipHop: Anything else you’d like to let us know?
Cream Da Villain: Sh-t, follow me on everything! @CreamDaVillain.

Jeannie Mai also spoke exclusively to Women’s Health and told them that this was an actual decision to manifest a child.
“It was not easy,” she said. “We both needed a bit of assistance, especially with me being 41 at the time.”
To the magazine, she also shared that the two had a miscarriage before being married.
“I wondered if I was being punished,” she shared. “I wondered if I’d jinxed myself or cursed myself… [because] my entire life, I never wanted children. When I say never, I’m talking a hard-stop never.”
The reality is that women over the age of 40 have a low chance of becoming pregnant. Chiquita Lockley, the director of Eggs Over Easy, makes note of that in her new film.
The director, a Black woman in her 40s, is also the executive producer with her Delta Sigma Theta sorority sister, Phylicia Fant, the Head of Urban Music at Columbia Records. Their film which is narrated by Keshia Knight Pulliam, privately screened by several New York chapters of the sisterhood this week, talks about the many struggles women having with a) choosing their career over motherhood, b) infertility and c) the pressure that society puts on them to be moms.
Jeezy and Jeannie Mai not only had resources for the very expensive process to get pregnant after 40 but also had the love.
“Falling in love with Jeezy made me see life differently for myself,” she explained. “Our love is honest, pure, and safe… something I hadn’t felt as a child…[Becomign pregnant] was the most beautiful sign that anything’s possible, that you’re not in control and God has a plan.”
The streets are talking, and the word is, one of the City Girls is allegedly pregnant.
An eagle-eyed fan recently spotted JT sporting a motion-sickness bracelet in one of her Instagram Live broadcasts. You can check out the evidence below.
Later that same day, the Neighborhood Talk reported that JT was spotted with what looked like a “baby bump” onstage during a live performance. Check out their evidence below.
While some fans are excited about the prospect of the City Girls adding a City Baby to the lineup, some celebrities are calling shenanigans.
“I look like that every time I eat Chipotle. Stop playin’,” commented celebrity matchmaker Devyn Simone.
“Now what if she Juss Bloated?” commented Instagram model K. Goddess. “Pls let ppl reveal their own pregnancy especially if it’s their 1st.”
So far, neither of the City Girls have issued a comment about JT’s alleged pregnancy status. Personally, I wouldn’t be surprised if JT starts cussin’ everyone out for speculating about her uterus.
On the other hand, she just might take to IG to sport yet another “food baby” just to keep the Internet streets talkin’.
Either way, if she is expecting a baby, congratulations are in order.

If you think that Drake is not trying to be a billionaire before 2025, you are not paying attention. As the Certified Lover Boy chart-topper enjoys sitting on the top of all the music lists, he also is investing in businesses that will surely be profitable for him. One such move is his investment in Dave’s Hot Chicken.
The world’s Champagne Papi is known to have top-shelf taste, so jumping into a fast-food franchise might seem odd. Well, after seeing how lucrative commercial chicken has been for people like Rick Ross, why wouldn’t Drizzy cluck for a few bucks. He is not alone.
He also joins Boston Red Sox Chairman Tom Werner and actor Samuel L. Jackson as investors in the chain. However, it is thought that he is a “significant ownership stake” in the Los Angeles-based restaurant chain. He will own less than 50% of Dave’s Hot Chicken.
In a statement, Drake shared, “I tried the food, and it was amazing.”

Cam’ron says that he told people years ago that Karen Civil was robbing clients out of their money. However, he alleges no one believed him. After this weekend’s Joyner Lucas debacle, the Harlem native has revived his mission to assert that the Hip-Hop media maven is a crook.
It seems to be Killa Season once again, as the Dipset founder took to social media to join the chorus of people alleging that the public relations executive is dishonest. He captioned on his Instagram, “Y’all gonna apologize or nah?! I figured y’all wouldn’t 🤷🏾♂️ “
“For those that don’t understand,” he continued. “I told people Karin civil been robbing people, they said I was lying. Now she just lost a court case to another female, now they say Karin is foul. When I said it…I was hating.. she also robbed Joyner Lucas for the same exact amount she did my guy @darealdukedagod 60k.. what a co-winky-d###.”
About five years ago, Cam did put Karen on blast. After she went on a podcast to talk about Jay-Z throwing the Dipset out of the Def Jam office because Cam would not move his car, Cam took to IG to set the matter straight.
“I haven’t went in on Karen ever and been proud of what she’s accomplished.. Even if she’s lied and stole to get there.. But u not gonna put me in ya b#######,” Cam’ron wrote in 2016.
Camron’s 2016 Now Deleted Instagram Post
“Despite what people think Jay-Z and I were not enemies.. He signed off on mad projects we did.. When he didn’t have too.. And showed my crew love.. It wasn’t till I Left DefJam (not kicked out) till we fell out..and I still respect his hustle and business savvy,” he continued.
The “Hey Ma” rapper concluded, “This story Karen is telling is just another one of her lies..she stole 60k from my cousin @darealdukedagod (and we still have all the bank statements if u wanna Pursue this KAREN) and has yet to pay him back.. And it’s my money as well cause it was from my company.. I don’t want or need ya money.. But u should have payed duke back by now.. But since u wanna lie.. I pull everything out.. And put u on blast!! Stop lying and stealing.”
Cam then posted a video of him barking on Karen on Instagram.
Cam wasn’t alone. Joyner Lucas, who broke big with the controversial song “I’m Not Racist” in 2017, also complained about Civil’s uncivilized business ways.
A now-deleted post on his Twitter from 2016 says, “She was supposed to brand me and help with a bunch of s### & after that 50k she went on vacation & made it a issue to have any convos wit me. How I pay @KarenCivil 50 racks and she gonna tell me that she can’t have a conversation with me because she’s on Vaca?”
Cam’ron has not said that he was taken advantage of by Karen Civil but consistently has stood up for people who have.
The R Kelly trial continues in New York, and now, disturbing testimony from an acclaimed producer’s mother has come to light.
Reuters was on hand as Cheryl Mack shared her harrowing testimony with the court. Mack testified that she saw a young girl trying to get intimate with the disgraced R&B singer in Connecticut, and she beat feet before she could see what came next.
“That was kind of my cue to leave,” Mack said. “I was very uncomfortable.”
Mack said that the last thing she saw before she left was the young girl’s head moving towards R Kelly. She said that the young girl looked to be performing oral sex on Kelly.
Mack also reiterated claims made by other former Kelly staffers. According to Mack, Kelly lost his temper with her when she allegedly ruined a surprise birthday party for former stylist Kash Howard in 2015 and forced her to sign an apology letter riddled with false claims. Mack’s testimony is consistent with the testimony of other former R Kelly associates, who made similar claims about the apology letters signed under duress.
“I apologized out of fear,” she said.
It’s unclear whether Mack was cross-examined in the case. Prosecutors are expected to continue the case today, with testimony expected from clinical psychologist Dawn Howard, who will speak about how underaged victims of sexual assault cope with the trauma.
R Kelly has pleaded not guilty to all the charges. His lawyers claim that these charges are being brought by disgruntled fans who are desperate for fame and feel jilted by the R&B singer.
