A!MS Talks Name Change, “Honor” & Forthcoming Album

You may have previously seen an artist by the name of A.M. SNiPER… well now he’s officially going  A!MS. While his musical roots lie somewhere in the midst of rap and R&B, his genre-bending style allows him to thrive in his own lane on his own time, equipped with tropical accents that resonate with audiences on an international level.

With his undeniable buzz and fanbase across the UK, Europe, and his homeland Cyprus, the rising star continues to kill it independently, spearheaded by singles “Yea Yea Yea” and “Run.” With each release, A!MS spits braggadocious bars about his lavish lifestyle as both a musician and entrepreneur, here to become one of the greats.

He states, “A!MS is a vibe. A!MS is the waviest, rap artist and mogul out of Europe. Whoever’s from Europe reading this, they should know that already. On the States side, I’ll be coming soon… you wait.”

Now, he returns with his best music to date, starting with “Honor” tapping Projexx, Julian Marley, AV Allure and superproducers Cool & Dre.

AllHipHop: When did A.M. SNiPER become A!MS and why?

A!MS: I’ve got a beautiful 4-year-old daughter, her name’s Melody. The way my music evolved, ever since I became a daddy I felt I needed to remove the violent connotations that come with the word Sniper. I started with street rap so grime music, garage music, but on the more aggressive side. Mosh pits and all that beautiful stuff before social distancing. We went from that to removing the violent connotations. It felt right to get rid of the word Sniper. With A!MS always leveling up like that, it’s like putting a silencer on your rifle.

AllHipHop: Why are you the king of Ayia Napa?

A!MS: I’m not just the king of that, man they’re trying to shrink my kingdom. [laughs] Ayia Napa is a resort where a lot of people come to party. We come from pirate radio stations. I don’t know if you’re familiar with how London was set up with the music scene, but there were no platforms so we had to use pirate stations to break our music and our sound. We’d go within an estate, set up an antenna, then we’d use the pirate station to send frequencies. People were looking for the shows so that’s how London was vibing in the early start of the millennium. We come from that background, then we brought that vibe to this resort in Cyprus where I’m at.

My family had a couple clubs here, I come from the nightlife scene. I’m very familiar with setting up the parties and promoting. We set up a lot of parties. We went from that to creating all this lifestyle and entertainment resort, that’s why everyone comes to Ayia Napa. It’s a summer version of London. Now, there’s not a lot of people being able to fly due to the pandemic, but Cyprus and Ayia Napa in general has become more global so you get a lot of Russians, Italians, Americans. It’s 40 minutes from Santorini and Mykonos, but it’s more the fun side like the Queens and Harlem of the Greek Islands. Mykonos and Santorini are boujee. Ayia Napa you come here, it’s a little bit grittier. You still get the boujee spots that you get all over the world, but out here it’s more a vibe. If you love hip-hop, rap, dancehall, bashment, the whole island vibe… it’s very Mediterranean. What Jamaica is to the States, Cyprus is that to Europe. I’m an island boy.

AllHipHop: Biggest influences growing up? Who were you listening to?

A!MS: At the moment, Uncle Joe Crack the Don Fat Joe. He just dropped a new one with Remy Ma. In terms of States side, I’m vibing a lot with the whole Cool & Dre camp, DJ Khaled, also Cool & Dre are co-executive producers on my album. Cool reached out to me when I started doing music out here, they saw my ways. Cool’s always been there for me like a mentor so I’m very connected with my big bro sonically. I’m listening to Dax. That’s someone I’ve got no agenda, we know each other and we’re cool. We have conversations every now and then. We’re not homies like that, but I f### with his music because he’s a very skillful and talented rap artist. Who else? Projexx, who’s on the latest single I’ve got, “Honor.” I like his sound, he’s going to have an amazing career as well. That’s about it right now, I haven’t had a lot of time to listen to a lot of music.

AllHipHop: How would you describe your sound?

A!MS: My sound’s very exotic. When you see those people with the nice cars, the Ferraris, the Lamborghinis, they import them out of where we come from and that’s what my music is like. When you f### with A!MS, you’re listening to Lamborghini and Ferrari music. You’re not listening to a Chevy or a Ford not that there is anything wrong with a Chevy or a Ford. I really want to show you more, but I’ve only given everyone one record with Projexx, Julian Marley, and AV Allure. But when the album drops, it’s amazing. I vibe to it and it gives me goosebumps. I’ve been making music for a minute so when it gives me that type of goosebumps feeling, I know it’s going to travel a lot more than me. It’s probably going to travel a lot more than all of us until they lift these restrictions to be fair.

AllHipHop:
“Diablo” has 10 million views on YouTube, did you think it would blow up like this when you first made it?

A!MS: Hell yeah, it should have more. It should have a lot more. The same way I know “HONOR” is a vibe and the same way I know the album’s going to bang, people are not deaf. We make music. It’s like saying “do you know if a kid’s going to like ice cream?” If their flavors are strawberry, chocolate, and banana ice cream and you give them strawberry, chocolate, and banana ice cream, are they gonna like it? Yes, they will. No matter what temperature, no matter what’s going on, they’re going to love the music.

AllHipHop: Best memory from the video shoot?

A!MS: The dinner table scene because we had a naked girl and she was buff. She’s my homie, she’s got a family and all that. There wasn’t nothing cheeky or naughty, it was the idea and she had to put up with us. It was dope. Since that time, I’m still eating the grapes. [laughs] She had fruits on her and I’m still eating the grapes.

AllHipHop: How did “HONOR” come about?

A!MS: Cool & Dre made the beat with Reid Waters, Dim Crux, Nahuel. They sent me the vibe, they sent me the beat. The hook was written by BEAM, who was on Justin Bieber’s album recently. I heard the hook and Projexx was already on the record, I said “I’ma get one of my artists who’s signed to my production house/sound system to sing the hook with a more London twang on it.” I laced my parts, Cool heard it and said “Yo, this is fire. You’ve got to drop this first to rebrand with the A!MS thing because they’re gonna get that you’re coming on a more wavy, exotic sound.” We’ve got Projexx who’s a new dancehall artist who’s fire, everyone here knows him because he’s on Wizkid’s album. We’ve got AV Allure who’s brand new, this is one of his first singles. He’s going to have an amazing career through our imprint as well.

I said to Cool “you know what, I need to get Julian Marley on there man.” Everyone was new and fresh. I reached out to Julian and said “we want to hear a bit of that Marley spirit. We need a sprinkle of that reggae light,” because they represent the light. The light workers. We hit up Julian, he said “yo, I really mess with the flow.” We got a nice sprinkle there. It felt like a moment because the whole world at this point in time, everyone’s trying to find ways to segregate people. On this record, you’ve got someone praising God, someone praising Allah. You’ve got a Rasta man. At the end of the day, we’re all one people. It felt so good to have so many versatile characters on the same record and it smashed. You had the Chino guitarist, you had Cool & Dre. I like when people come together to create, it’s beautiful.

AllHipHop: What was your vision with the ski masks? What was the meaning behind that?

A!MS: The director Jay Parpworth said, “man, let’s go for stealing from the rich and giving it to the poor. Let’s do a heist, then roll through London and give away the winnings to all the people. Pull up to them and start giving all the money away, some Robin Hood flex.” I said “Yeah that’s neat, I f#### with that still.”

The sound is so summery so when the video starts with the helicopter and the masks, everybody’s expecting me to come on some grime or drill flex, because that’s what everyone’s doing in the UK at the moment. Even though I come from that environment, that’s what we wanted to do but there’s a dope twist to that story on the next video “iLIKE” and which is “Pure Summer Waves” and how the album as a hole unfolds. Everyone’s going to be like “Ah, now it all makes sense.” I’m not dropping visuals for one record, it’s the whole holistic approach to the actual full body of work. It’s all about the album, because I never dropped one. It’s my debut album so I’m gassed about it. I’m looking at that more than just one video. The previous records were just singles, they were treated differently. This one, we want to build it to the point where it all makes sense to the story when the album drops.

AllHipHop: What can we expect from the album? How have you evolved?

A!MS: Everything I’ve done in my career to date, and I’ve done a lot: multi-Platinum albums, all types of trophies that 99.9% of my peers won’t get to see because it’s not easy to achieve certain things. As a workaholic, I never like to turn back and look at a job done unless I’m happy. The next day, I wake up and I keep going forward. It’s not because I’m not grateful, it’s my personality. I’m like that. Everything you do in life, there’s always a moment where it all makes sense. You can take a few L’s along the way, you can go through some down moments, but they’re a part of the process and journey. You’ve got to trust it.

With this album, it’s the beginning of where people will understand that when you’re raised on an island and you’re far away from the scene — the ins and outs to what people do like “Oh, this is how radio works. This is how Clubland works,” we didn’t know that. We had to build everything ourselves. What I did as an artist, I went public from day one. Even when my records were wack, I said “This is what I know, I’m going to try to put this out. I’m going to try to do this.” I had done all the research and development in public with my fans and my audience rather than be a project. You know how you hear people say “Oh, I’m developing this artist.” Or “I’m A&Ring this project. In 6 months, this guy’s going to be the next big blah blah.” I didn’t have no one to do that for us, so we’ve done everything ourselves. The label, the producers, the video creators, the writers, but out of that, I know I can do everything. That’s why I’m a sound man. I know how to put the beats together. I produce, I write. I’m an artist, that’s the priority. I am a Pharrell. I am a Dr. Dre. I am a Kanye. That’s what it’s showing and it’s inevitable.

AllHipHop: Any goals for yourself at this point of your career?

A!MS: I definitely want to win a Grammy, one way or another. I don’t know how, I just know that it has to happen so hopefully pray to the Most High it comes through. I want to see health and more love with my family. I’m proud of my daughter to bits. Today I had an amazing moment with my daughter where she wanted to go in the pool, but she’s been ill over the past few days. I said “Let me go outside and check the water and see the sun.” I turned around and said “Melody, you can go,” but she was expecting a negative answer from me. Even though I said “you can go,” her initial expression was to drop her lip.

Then she went “Oh my God, thank you so much my daddy, you’re the best daddy in the world!” She’d never done that to me before. Now, it’s game over. She knows me now, she knows the tricks. She’s a smart kid, I’m so proud of her. She’s going to be 4 in August, so between her being born and before Covid hit, I’d only see her 2 times a week. My family lives on the island so I was traveling to London, Athens, Greece, Italy. I wouldn’t be on the island. I’d come back, see my family for the weekend, jet back out.

Since the whole pandemic hit, I’ve been with her so much. I stayed on the island because it feels a little bit more normal right here. You can go to the beach, jump on some waves, just be vibing and living life instead of being caught up in the restricted London madness. My goal’s to see her learn from me, then for her to carry on and do what she wants to do for herself. It’s beyond music, it’s a way of life. What we’re building is a way of life, this is my legacy for her.

AllHipHop: Anything else you want to let the people know?

A!MS: If you ain’t following me @whoisaims, make sure you do that. The audience is worldwide so I know that at least my people are going to come on here and read it. I want to wish everyone to be safe. Keep your eyes open, your ears open. Think for yourself. Make the best possible decision you want to make for yourself without jumping into the hype or the bandwagon of what other people are doing. Everyone remember that you’re beautiful and talented as much as anyone else. No one’s above someone else, love and light to everyone.

Frank Ocean Too Busy For Coachella 2022

Frank Ocean will headline Coachella in 2023 after scheduling issues forced him to pull out of a festival slot in 2022.

The singer was originally slated to front the 2020 festival with Rage Against the Machine and Travis Scott.

But after Coachella bosses had to reschedule to the spring of 2022, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Frank Ocean was not available.

Coachella boss Paul Tollett has yet to reveal full details about next spring’s event, but he has confirmed RATM and Travis Scott will be back as headliners – and Frank Ocean will be back in 2023.

Frank Ocean last performed at Coachella in 2012, just before the release of his breakthrough album, Channel Orange.

The Weeknd Reveals Just Why He Gave Up Hard Drugs

The Weeknd has toned down his drinking and drug use, but still smokes weed.

The singer is no longer a “heavy drinker” and realizes he doesn’t need mind-altering substances either.

“I like sober lite,” he told GQ when asked about his past consumption of drugs and alcohol.

Admitting he still enjoys an “occasional” drink, he adds, “I’m not a heavy drinker, as much as I used to be. The romance of drinking isn’t there.”

The star remains a marijuana fan but has sworn off harder drugs.

“Drugs were a crutch,” he explains. “It was me thinking that I needed it. And not doing the work to figure out how not to need it. And I’ve spent the last few years realizing that and thanking God that I don’t need it.

“Because for a lot of people, it’s hard to shake it. But I knew I didn’t want it.”

Biz Markie Honored By Barack And Michelle Obama

Barack Obama and his wife Michelle were among the first people to send their condolences to Biz Markie’s widow after his death last month.

The rapper’s widow, Tara Davis, thanked the former President and First Lady for their kid words during a memorial service on Monday, which was livestreamed on U.S. cable network BET.

“Biz was super special. He brought joy to everyone,” said Tara. “Barack Obama and Michelle Obama, they sent me a heartfelt letter. Averi (Tara’s daughter) and I were blown away that they took the time out to send their condolences about the loss of our loved one. That’s the kind of person Biz was.”

Civil rights leader Rev. Al Sharpton delivered the eulogy at the memorial, while stars like Fat Joe and LL Cool J made appearances at the solemn event, held at the Patchogue Theater for the Performing Arts in New York.

Biz Markie died in a Baltimore, Maryland hospital of complications from Type 2 diabetes.

Boosie’s IG Gets Deleted Again As He Gets To 1 Million Followers

Boosie Badazz cannot seem to catch a break on IG, but people seem to love him. And loathe him. He is one of he most polarizing figures in the Hip-Hop, and that has nothing to do with the music. He is out here causing all sorts of calamity for his views on a myriad of things, but most notably issues surrounding the gay community. The last time he was banished from IG, he apparently had nudity, which he denies.

Here is what he said on Twitter, a community more palatable to his brand.

Boosie is pissy!

I don’t think Boosie can win this war calling the boss a b####! OR maybe he can if the people attack him like lil digital bees! People act like Black Planet or something can help the cause, but I am not so sure of that. They are so dated at this point, even Solange couldn’t help. They still exist though, so there is some hope! I do not see Boosie creating some sort of Planet for his Azz to live on social media. He may need to be a GoodAzz instead of a BadAzz so he can stay alive. They gonna IP ban his phone! LOL!

Stop begging and get to creating!

Here is the Breakfast Club interview with the dude Boosie is mad at at!

Boosie is doing too much begging for me. “@mosseri CAN U GIVE ME ANOTHER CHANCE LIKE YALL DO THE REST OF THE WORLD SHOW THE WORLD THAT IG FAIR” he said before being banned again.

Adult Film Site Offers Kanye West VIP Account During Mercedes-Benz Stadium Stay

Kanye West has apparently been held up in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium in order to finalize his forthcoming Donda album. The billionaire musician/fashion designer recently shared photos of his modest living quarters inside the home of the Atlanta Falcons franchise.

Donda is now expected to drop on Friday, August 6. As Kanye West and his fans are seemingly counting down the final days before the project makes its way to DSPs, an adult entertainment website is offering Ye some possible personal relief from his work.

CamSoda Vice President Daryn Parker wrote a letter to Kanye West, according to Complex. The note included Parker explaining that the live streaming webcam platform wants to gift West special access to the site.

Daryn Parker wrote, in part:

Here at CamSoda we want to make sure your creative juices are flowing… literally… and you’re fully locked in your creative zone to do what you do and finish the album. That said, I’d like to set you up with an ‘Elite VIP’ CamSoda account, which comes with a dedicated host (think a 24/7 concierge) to help you find muses that won’t be gold diggers, but will help make you feel harder, better, faster and stronger. Let’s channel that sexual energy and give the world the album they have been anxiously waiting for.

CamSoda letter to Kanye West

In 2019, Kanye West admitted to once having an addiction to pornography. A year earlier, the Chicago-bred entertainer performed his divisive single “I Love It” with Lil Pump at the inaugural Pornhub Awards. The 2x-Platinum record eventually peaked in the Hot 100’s Top 10.

That Pornhub Awards performance came before Kanye West began leading Sunday Service events. The self-described born-again Christian went on to release 2019’s solo Jesus Is King and Sunday Service Choir-backed Jesus Is Born Gospel projects.

Songs promoted as part of the tracklist for Donda were first premiered at a special listening event inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium on July 22. A second Donda listening event is confirmed for Thursday, August 5 which is once again taking place in Kanye West’s 70,000-seat temporary residence.

The 52-second teaser also served as a commercial for the current Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. In particular, the spot focused on the Women’s 800m Final, Women’s 200m Final, and Women’s 400m Hurdles Final.

American track and field competitors Sydney McLaughlin, Dalilah Muhammad, Athing Mu, and Gabby Thomas starred in the “Take My Breath” ad. The video ends with a voice-over saying, “Team USA Women’s. There’s something sensational.”

Tupac Gave Actor Leon A Pass Because He Starred In “The Five Heartbeats”

During the height of his popularity, people thought that Tupac Shakur might have been an unpredictable troublemaker, but when it came down to working with people he respected, he totally got down to business.

At least that is what celebrated actor Leon believes.

In an interview with veteran journalist Allison Kugel, the man that played David Ruffin from the epic movie “The Temptations” told her that he was a true professional.

On her “Allison Interviews” podcast, he shared about meeting the Death Row artist on the set of “Above the Rim.”

He said, “Tupac had just shot at two off-duty police officers in Atlanta, and then he had some other court case going on, but I don’t know what that was. It could have been the rape charge, but I’m not sure. But the production got interrupted several times because of it.

“For me, I just never wanted to see a young talented brother hurt himself or not succeed,” he continued. “And that’s what I was seeing in Tupac. I liked him. I thought he was talented and had charisma, and everyone could see that, but his mind was on other things that were going to bring him down, and it was obvious.”

Leon, who also starred in “Cool Runnings,” “Waiting to Exhale,” “Ali,” and “Get Rich or Die Tryin’,” said, “It hurt me to see that because I wish he was here with us today. But everyone has their path. Everyone has to live their life the way they want to live it. That’s what I was seeing, just talent being wasted, is what I thought.”

At the end of this segment, Leon said that the “Hail Mary” artist was a fan and respected his cinematic work, which was reason enough for him to show up ready to work.

“[Tupac] was one hundred with me, and he told me from the beginning at the script reading, he said, ‘Listen, you’re not going to have a problem with me, because you’re in The Five Heartbeats.’ That movie was so revered by everybody. You usually get your props right off the jump (laughs,” he concluded.

Allison Kugel is a veteran entertainment journalist with more than three hundred long-form celebrity and newsmaker interviews published and syndicated, worldwide.

DaBaby Apologizes Again And Leaves Fans Divided

DaBaby has issued another apology.

This time, his “sorry” is more cohesive and rooted in regret.

He, or someone from his PR team, posted the apology for his homophobic remarks at the Rolling Loud Miami festival on a black canvas and without a caption.

It picture post read:

“Social media moves so fast that people want to demolish you before you even have the opportunity to grow, educate, and learn from your mistakes. As a man who has had to make his own way from very difficult circumstances, having people I know publicly working against me— knowing that what I needed was education on these topics and guidance— has been challenging. I appreciate the many people who came to me with kindness, who reached out to me privately to offer wisdom, education, and resources. That’s what I needed and it was received.”

https://www.instagram.com/p/CSFMMBbpc3F/

After sharing that because of how hard it was to get passed his “difficult circumstances” to get to where he is in his career, he said that it has been a “challenge” for him to receive public criticism from others that he knew personally.

He also thanked those who supported him with kindness over the last few weeks and educated him.

After stating that is what he “needed,” he then apologized.

“I want to apologize to the LGBTQ+ community for the hurtful and triggering comments I made. Again, I apologize for my misinformed comments about HIV/AIDS and I know education on this is important. Love to all. God bless. -DaBaby.”

But is his apology too late?

Some are asking for his label to drop him.

“NEXT: When will his label drop him? #DaBaby [#DababyIsOver]{https://twitter.com/hashtag/DababyIsOver?src=hashtag_click)”

Others brought up how ignorantly he responded to the backlash, asking what would have happened if he would have issued this type of apology days ago.

“the way dababy’s apology would’ve been “accepted” if he hadn’t doubled down on his statement so many times”

“NOT DABABY APOLOGIZING AFTER DOUBLING DOWN 3X”

Some believe this is a ploy because so many endorsement deals and opportunities have vanished after his rant.

“DaBaby trying to get DaBookings back”

“Dababy wanted to antagonize Megan Thee Stallion and just fumbled all his bags. Be careful of the energy you invest in.”

“why i just saw dababy rummaging in my trashcan oh it’s bad for him”

Still, many just wanted to drag him for his outlandish position that he had just yesterday, despite his recent enlightenment by taunting his delusions of grandeur.

“PSA to all the rappers like Dababy, majority of the record execs in the industry’s are dagay and want to dafuck, don’t think you’re getting your contract on pure talent!”

“DaApology from DaBaby:”

https://twitter.com/bitchit999/status/1422296203903963154?s=20

“Dababy grossly overestimated his star power, you have no classic work, you’re not Kanye West, they can literally replace you with Roddy Ricch at every show you got booked and nobody gone notice lol”

Since his weaving homophobic slurs in his hype up banter at this year’s Rolling Loud Miami show and hopping on social media in defiance to anyone who called him out, he has lost a lot of deals and a lot of money.

Most recently, he was disinvited to NYC’s Governors Ball Music Festival in September.

“Founders Entertainment does not and will not tolerate hate or discrimination of any kind,” a post from organizers stated. “We welcome and celebrate the diverse communities that make New York City the greatest city in the world. Thank you to the fans who continue to speak up for what is right. Along with you, we will continue to use our platform for good.”

There really is no industry that Travis Scott doesn’t want to conquer and it seems that the “Astroworld” rapper is eyeing Hollywood.

Somehow, “Utopia” will be connected with Scott’s upcoming fourth album.

Record Label L-Easy Music is Giving Incredible Opportunities to New Artists

Everyone is, in some way, excited to discover a brand-new artist with amazing talent. It’s even more fulfilling to watch a musician you feel has the potential to become a star in the music industry. Unfortunately, not every artist you deem to have the potential makes it to the bigger stage. Some miss out simply because they didn’t have the opportunity to showcase their talents. It is a very challenging journey for most artists, with those making their way to the top describing how tough it was to get recognition.

Some artists only need a platform to get their careers started. Lucky Obibi Oghnechawuko, or L-Easy as he’s known, is dedicated to uplifting young talents. He is a top music producer and digital entrepreneur from Port-Harcourt, Nigeria. He is a promising talent in Afro beats and is one of the most successful Nigerian artists today. He is the founder and owner of L-Easy Music Worldwide, an international record label based in Port-Harcourt.

L-Easy is passionate about helping other young artists show the world their talents. He understands the plight young artists have trying to break their way into the music industry. He was in the same situation six years ago and knows the importance of giving someone else an opportunity. He not only shows them the right direction but also positively impacts their young careers.

Lucky founded L-Easy music with the vision of launching the careers of talented people. In addition, his vision is to put Africa on the map and provide a global platform for different talents. This is while still holding to the African values of dignity for all uniting everyone through music. The record label has two talented artists signed on its roster, Hitboy Kellz and Highlife Soes.

Hitboy Kelzz is a talented singer, songwriter, and producer with a unique sound. His music sound, Afroganstar, is a hip-hop, RnB, dancehall, and Afrobeat blend. He released his debut single ‘Confused’ early in the year.

Highlife Soes is a young talented musician with a distinct musical style and genre. He is on the verge of releasing his debut single, which he promises to be nothing but the best.

The two artists remind L-Easy of his own tough background and who needed help to break through. Being able to help such artists grow their brands gives him a sense of fulfillment, and it’s just a matter of time before they are recognized by the world.

As a label, L-Easy Music looks forward to supporting and giving opportunities to the right talents in the future. His joy is to see such talents shine beyond the African continent and onto the global arena. The label is also in the process of signing other new artists.

Blac Chyna Claims “Tyga Loves Trans” And Twitter Explodes

Blac Chyna decided to troll the father of her kid today, with a pretty interesting tweet that instantly went viral.

Out of nowhere, Blac Chyna claimed Tyga “loved” transsexuals, just like she does.

“Tyga loves Trans , me 2💋 Tell the truth @Tyga !!!!!,” she wrote.

It’s not clear why Blac Chyna decided to put Tyga’s business on front street, if it’s even true, because his preferences are his business.

His latest video “Mrs. Bubblegum,” is a rework of D4L’s#### song “Laffy Taffy” and is a tribute to all the women with beautiful posteriors.

The estranged couple, who share an 8-year-old son named King.

In fact, in February, she praised Tyga for his ability to co-parent with her, although she insisted he does not pay her child support for King.

Nonetheless, Tyga instantly trended on Twitter after Blac Chyna’s salacious “revelation.”

“Oh this so messy,” one user wrote while another stated: “Not u airing yo BD out dis tew much….”

Sexuality has been a hot topic in hip-hop since July 25th, after DaBaby made homophobic comments about people with HIV/AIDS during his performance at Rolling Loud in Miami.

The rapper was forced to issue two apologies after being dropped from two major festivals – Governors Ball and Day N Vegas.

However, a debate has been raging about the fairness of canceling DaBaby.

T.I. weighed in on the issue with some controversial comments and managed to rope openly gay rapper, Lil Nas X, into the argument.

“If Lil Nas X can kick his s### in peace… so should DaBaby 🤷🏽‍♂️. #equality.”

Lil Nas X was eventually forced to reply, but not until he was threatened with assault by Boosie, who took issue with the “Old Town Road” rapper’s plan to dance naked at the VMA’s on September 12.

Boosie Says God Is Doing Back Flips Over LGBTQ’s Supposed Agenda To Turn Straight Kids Gay

Rapper Boosie has come to the defense of the baby, after the North Carolina rapper canceled by not one, but two festivals today (August 2).

This morning, organizers with The Governors Ball revealed they had dropped DaBaby from their lineup in the wake of misinformed comments about HIV/AIDS, as well as some homophobic statements.

Shortly afterward, Day N Vegas 2021 announced they too, had dropped the “Suge” rapper from their performance lineup.

“DaBaby will no longer be appearing at Day N Vegas 2021. Roddy Ricch has been added to the lineup,” Day N Vegas organizers confirmed.

Today’s news did not sit well with outspoken rapper Boosie, who claimed it was sad that “this gay stuff was being forced on the world.”

“It’s sad how y’all trying to ban artists. Y’all sad. In 10 years it ain’t going to be normal for a kid to be straight. Y’all trying to force it on these kids. You pushing it on the artists, you push it on all the biggest artists. You know why? Cause the kids love those artists. So we going to make all them promote this s### And who’s going to follow? The kids. God is doing backflips right now.”

While Boosie may be doubling down on his opinion that there is a conspiracy to push homosexuality to children, DaBaby attempted to walk back his comments once again.

The condemnations from artists like Elton John, Madonna, and Questlove, as well as the multiple festival cancellations, prompted DaBaby to issue a second apology today.

“Social media moves so fast that people want to demolish you before you even have the opportunity to grow, educate, and learn from your mistakes,” DaBaby said. “As a man who has had to make his Own way from very difficult circumstances, having people know publicly working against me— knowing that what I needed was education on these topics and guidance— has been challenging.

“I appreciate the many people who came to me with kindness, who reached out to me privately to offer wisdom, education, and resources. That’s what needed and it was received,” the rapper continued. “I want to apologize to the LGBTQ+ community for the hurtful and triggering comments I made. Again, I apologize for my misinformed comments about HIV-AIDS and know education on this is important. Love to all. God bless.”

Rolling Stone “Experts” Name Beyonce’s “Formation” Video The Best Of All-Time

Beyonce’s “Formation” video has been named the best ever made in a new expert poll.

Rolling Stone editors and contributors voted the 2016 promo, directed by Melina Matsoukas, number one on a top 100 list, ahead of Johnny Cash’s Hurt, Madonna’s Vogue and Michael Jackson’s iconic Billie Jean.

Matsoukas previously told The New Yorker that Beyonce wanted the video to show “the historical impact of slavery on black love, and what it has done to the black family.”

Critics accused the director and Beyonce of taking aim at the police in the promo – a charge Beyonce was quick to shut down, telling Elle, “I’m an artist and I think the most powerful art is usually misunderstood, but anyone who perceives my message as anti-police is completely mistaken. I have so much admiration and respect for officers and the families of officers who sacrifice themselves to keep us safe.

“But let’s be clear, I am against police brutality and injustice. Those are two separate things.”

Beyonce’s video for “Single Ladies” and the promo for “Telephone,” her collaboration with Lady Gaga, also feature on the Rolling Stone list, as does Jay-Z and her The Carters film “Apes**t,” which was shot at the Louvre Museum in Paris, France.

The top 10 is:

  1. Formation by Beyonce
  2. Hurt by Johnny Cash
  3. Vogue by Madonna
  4. This is America by Childish Gambino
  5. The Perfect Kiss by New Order
  6. Sabotage by Beastie Boys
  7. Untitled (How Does It Feel?) by D’Angelo
  8. Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel
  9. November Rain by Guns N’ Roses
  10. Billie Jean by Michael Jackson

DAX’ Drops Visuals For His Song “Child of God”

It’s been a little under two years since DAX released his internationally viral single, “Dear God”, and today, as that visual sits on over 38M views, he releases the follow-up which is also the first single from his forthcoming debut album.  Whereas “Dear God” saw DAX questioning God even as he declared himself a believer, “Child of God” finds DAX in a stronger place spiritually, having reconnected both with his faith and with his maker. “Child of God” stays true to DAX’s proclivity for releasing relatable lyrical content paired with incredibly cinematic, often film-inspired visuals and this formula has served him well. His YouTube channel averages 500K streams daily, 527M in just the past 9 months, with a subscriber base of close to 4M. Likewise, the deeply personal nature of many of his lyrics, and the expertise of his delivery has his Spotify enjoying 2.2M monthly listeners and over 550K subscribers.
