Ryan Garcia Expelled By WBC After Racist Rant As Boxer’s Family Distance Themselves

Ryan Garcia was expelled by the World Boxing Council (WBC) after repeatedly making racist, Islamophobic and bigoted remarks during a Twitter rant

On Thursday (July 4), the WBC president, Mauricio Sulaiman, issued a statement via X (Twitter).

“Exercising my authority as president of the WBC, I am hereby expelling Ryan Garcia from any activity with our organization,” he wrote. “We reject any form of discrimination. I fear for Ryan well being as he has declined multiple attempts for our help with mental health and substance abuse.”

During his unhinged rant, Ryan Garcia frequently dropped the n-word and said he was “anti-Black.” He hosted a Twitter Spaces chat titled, “George Floyd is a b####,” and said he wanted to bring him back to life to kill him again. The boxer also made other racist and disparaging comments about Mexicans, Christians, Muslims and other minorities.

Garcia was widely condemned online and tried to smooth things over with another post. “I was trolling I want all the killing to stop,” Garcia wrote following the backlash. “I love everyone sorry if I offended you.”

He has since deleted his apology and many of the offensive tweets.

Ryan Garcia’s parents issued a statement distancing themselves from his remarks and urging him to seek help.

“Our family unequivocally does not support any statements [Garcia] has made regarding race or religion,” the statement read. “These do not reflect who Ryan truly is and how he was raised. Those who know Ryan can attest to this fact.”

The family referenced Garcia’s mental health struggles and shared their commitment to ensuring he receives the help he needs.

Gucci Mane Offers $2M For Two Artists To Launch New Label “So Icy Millionaires”

Gucci Mane is starting fresh, launching a brand new record label with the offer of $2 million for two upcoming “superstars.”

Controversy has swirled around the artists signed to his 1017 Global Music label, with a so-called “curse” said to exist because of the number of them who keep winding up in jail or worse.  Several 1017 artists are behind bars on charges including first-degree murder.

On Thursday (July 4), Gucci Mane and his wife Keyshia Ka’oir announced a new label, So Icy Millionaires. The couple are ready to hand out $1 million deals for a male and female star to join the label.

In a video, the couple showed off the cash in stacks of $100K to entice any potential prospects.

“I got a million plus I got some extras that I’m still counting up for the female artist,” Gucci began. “That’s what I’m willing to invest in my next superstar cuz I’m starting a whole new label, fresh; So Icy Millionaires. So, who want to join my new label cuz I’m looking for my next male superstar.”

Gucci Mane then turned to Ka’oir, who matched her husband’s offer. “I got a million plus some extras that I’m still counting up for the next female artist.”

The video ended with a message from Ka’oir, “F### y’all haters.”

Ka’oir recently came to her husband’s defense following the tragic death of his artist Enchanting. Gucci Mane’s tribute post was flooded with conspiracy theories suggesting he was somehow responsible for her passing.

“Leave my husband alone!” Ka’oir wrote. “He signs these artist to help them & give them a better life! I wish it wasn’t like this ! Chant we love you baby girl ! RIH.”

Ka’oir asked Mane, “Why all your 1017 artists keep going to jail?” during the debut episode of her podcast.

“I was one of those type of artists, I was always going back and forth to jail,” he explained. “I try to help those artists that I feel I see a lot of myself in.” He added, “But I feel like if I’m not helping them, who else gone’ help them? Nobody says that part of the story.”

Kendrick Lamar Shouts “OV-HO” With Half Of Compton In “Not Like Us” Video

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” has been a major talking point due to the song’s pointed diss at Drake—and now, the video has arrived. Shot in Compton on June 22, the video drew large crowds eager to catch a glimpse of Lamar performing the scathing track. The production, which featured appearances by artists like YG, “Not Like Us” producer Mustard and other prominent figures from the Los Angeles rap scene, highlighted the unity among various artists and communities in the city.

The anticipation for the “Not Like Us” video was palpable, especially following Lamar’s electrifying historic Juneteenth concert, “The Pop Out: Ken & Friends.” The concert, held at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, saw Kendrick performing the diss track multiple times, further fueling his ongoing rivalry with Drake.

The video shoot itself became a community event, with locals and fans joining in, creating an atmosphere of solidarity and celebration. The event also underscored Kendrick Lamar’s influence and ability to bring together diverse elements of L.A., including Bloods and Crips.

“Not Like Us” achieved significant chart success, marking Kendrick Lamar’s fourth No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Released in May, the track quickly climbed to the top, bolstered by 70.9 million streams and 15,000 traditional sales in its opening week. The milestone follows Lamar’s previous hits like “HUMBLE.” and his collaboration with Taylor Swift on “Bad Blood” (Rap-Up).

“Not Like Us” also shattered several streaming records, including breaking the Spotify record for the most streamed rap song in a single day, surpassing Drake’s previous record. The track’s success on streaming platforms like Spotify and its dominance on the Canadian streaming charts highlight Lamar’s continued influence. Despite the ongoing debate among fans over the outcome of Lamar’s lyrical battle with Drake, “Not Like Us” has undeniably cemented its place in rap history.

Rick Ross Denies Getting Punched During Vancouver Brawl: “I Got Hit With A Drink”

Rick Ross has broken his silence on the violent brawl that erupted after he performed in Vancouver at the weekend. The MMG honcho appeared to take a blow to the face during the altercation, sparking chaos.

However, Ross downplayed the incident, claiming he threatened the man who initially approached him into backing down. He also admitted to getting hit, but only with a drink, not a fist.

On Thursday (July 4), Rick Ross shared his take on the Vancouver altercation in a video posted on his Instagram Stories.

He took to Instagram on Thursday (July 4) to share his take on the fight.

“I’m thinking about the event that happened over there. Let me tell you something. When the first dude stepped up to Rozay,” Ross said before explaining that he got in the man’s face to look him in the eyes before warning him.

“Boy, if I hit you, I’m a see everything you ate for the last two days,” Ross recalled telling the man. “His balls dropped out of his ass. He never said another word, he never did nothing, he was a straight buster.”

He continued, “Then the n#### behind him said, “I know MMA!” And then I got hit with a drink. I’m still convinced ain’t no n#### punch me.”

Ross said someone told him, “He hit you,” but he insisted that was not the case. “Nah, he had to throw a drink because throwing a drink would have been way more disrespectful than screaming, “I know MMA!”

Earlier this week, Rick Ross posted a close-up video of his face on Instagram. He was responding to people, including his ex, Tia Kemp, who claimed he was hiding his eye in a post-brawl photo.

Sada Baby Reveals What Happened After Squashing Doe Boy Beef, Thanks To Skilla Baby

Sada Baby appears to be ready to reach new heights in the rap game after cutting the dead weight of several beefs he had with other artists.

In a recent Instagram Story post, the Detroit native unloaded a lengthy rant detailing his reconciliation with Cleveland rapper and Future affiliate Doe Boy. In the process, the “Whole Lotta Choppas” hitmaker remarked on the progress he’s made thus far, and the ground he expects to gain as a result of the growth he’s experienced from dissolving his disputes.

“Been hashed my problems with doebeezy we just ain’t been broadcasting how much we actually been around each other recently, I’m saying this to say stop expecting me to keep crashing out off of emotions,” Sada Baby wrote.

He continued, remarking on the wealth of unreleased music he is sitting on as a reflection of his commitment to rebuilding relationships.

The feud between rappers Doe Boy and Sada Baby started in late 2021, largely fueled by social media exchanges and competitive tensions in the rap scene. The conflict escalated when Doe Boy publicly criticized Sada Baby, alleging that Sada was copying his style and flow. Sada Baby responded with a series of Instagram posts and live videos, defending his originality and firing back at Doe Boy with his own accusations.

This back-and-forth exchange included diss tracks, with both rappers using their platforms to take jabs at each other. However, last year, the pair of rappers managed to reconcile shortly after Sada Baby and Tee Grizzley reconnected.

In addition to overcoming his issues with Doe Boy, Sada Baby also recently buried the hatchet with his fellow Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley. Skilla Baby also played a significant role in arranging the end of the feud between the rappers and briefly spoke about the situation with AllHopHip at the 2024 BET Awards.

“That was very important for Sada Baby and Tee Grizzley to resolve whatever they had going on. I don’t know what they had going on, but I know they brothers and we better together,” Skilla Baby said.

Diddy Denies “Baseless” Sex Trafficking Claims In New Lawsuit, “Confident” Of Legal Win

Diddy’s legal team has denied the latest allegations made by a woman in a new lawsuit accusing him of grooming her into sex trafficking.

Former adult film star Adria English a.k.a. Omunique, has become the latest in a long line of women suing the fallen mogul. She claims he forced her to have sex with guests at his parties in the 2000s.

On Thursday (July 4), Diddy’s attorney, Jonathan Davis, continued to profess his client’s innocence. Davis said that despite the mounting lawsuits, Diddy is “confident” he will beat the cases in court.

“No matter how many lawsuits are filed it won’t change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone,” Davis said in a statement. “We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason and without any proof.”

“Fortunately, a fair and impartial judicial process exists to find the truth and Mr. Combs is confident he will prevail against these and other baseless claims in court.”

Meanwhile, it was reported on Thursday that Diddy is under criminal investigation in New York. A federal grand jury in the Southern District of New York is hearing evidence in an ongoing investigation. A source confirmed that Diddy and his legal team were formally notified of the grand jury last week.

According to NBC News, there is no indication that charges are imminent.

Cardi B Accused Of Jacking Indigenous Rapper’s Beat In $50M Lawsuit

Two artists claimed Cardi B ripped off their song “Greasy Frybread” for her single “Enough (Miami).” According to court documents obtained by Valley Central, rapper Sten Joddi and producer Kemikal956 sued the Atlantic Records artist and others for copyright infringement in Texas on Wednesday (July 3).

Joddi (real name Joshua Frausto) and Kemikal956 (Miguel Aguilar) released “Greasy Frybread” in 2021. The song was featured in the FX television series Reservation Dogs.

Cardi B dropped “Enough (Miami)” in March. The track is expected to appear on her sophomore album.

The plaintiffs accused Cardi B and her producers of using “Greasy Frybread” without permission. “Enough (Miami)” producers OG Parker and DJ SwanQo were named as co-defendants in the lawsuit.

Cardi B was sued after declaring she would “never turn Republican” when a social media user claimed she betrayed her country. The accusation likely stemmed from her saying she would not vote for President Joe Biden in the 2024 election.

“I don’t f### with both of y’all n#####,” she told Rolling Stone.

Cardi B endorsed Biden in the 2020 election. Years later, she was not pleased with his presidency.

“I feel like people got betrayed,” she said. “It’s just like, damn, y’all not caring about nobody. Then, it really gets me upset that there is solutions to it. There is a solution. I know there’s a solution because you’re spending billions of dollars on any f###### thing.”

Cardi B’s comments became a discussion point on CNN in May. Political analyst Bakari Sellers said her sentiments were a great example of how voter apathy could play a significant role in the 2024 election.

The Grammy-winning rapper had no intention of voting for Trump, who was convicted of 34 counts of falsifying business records. He was originally scheduled to be sentenced in July, but the hearing was delayed until September.

Washington DC Weed Buyers Guide [2024 Edition]

As we enter 2024, Washington DC’s cannabis market continues to evolve, offering a diverse and complex landscape for both newcomers and experienced users. This comprehensive guide aims to provide you with the most up-to-date information on navigating the capital’s cannabis scene safely and legally.

In 2024, recreational cannabis use remains legal for adults 21 and over in Washington DC. However, it’s crucial to understand the nuances of the law:

  • Possession of up to 2 ounces is legal for personal use.
  • Public consumption is still prohibited.
  • The sale and purchase of cannabis remain in a legal gray area due to the “gifting” system.

Initiative 71, passed in 2014, forms the backbone of DC’s cannabis laws. It allows adults to possess, grow, and gift small amounts of marijuana, but does not permit its sale.

Purchasing Options in The Washington D.C. Area

There are three main avenues for obtaining cannabis in DC:

1. Medical Dispensaries

Medical dispensaries operate under strict regulations, ensuring high-quality, thoroughly tested products. Benefits include rigorous quality control, consistent availability, and access to higher potency products. However, they require a valid medical marijuana card.

2. Recreational Dispensaries (I-71 Compliant Stores)

These stores operate under Initiative 71, allowing for the gifting of cannabis. They offer a wide variety of products without requiring a medical card. Note that these stores technically sell non-cannabis items and “gift” the cannabis with purchase.

3. Delivery Services

Delivery services offer convenience but require caution. They provide a wide range of products and discreet service, but professionalism and reliability can vary.

Product Types and Considerations

When exploring the offerings at Snackz DC or other providers, you’ll encounter various product types including flower, edibles, concentrates, vape cartridges, tinctures, and mushroom products. Consider factors such as THC content, CBD levels, and desired effects when choosing products.

Tips for Safe and Responsible Purchasing

  1. Always verify the legitimacy of your provider.
  2. Check product labels for potency and ingredients.
  3. Start with lower doses if you’re new to cannabis or trying a new product.
  4. Keep your purchases and consumption private.
  5. Never drive under the influence of cannabis.
  6. Be aware of federal property boundaries, as cannabis remains illegal under federal law.

Navigating the Gifting System

The gifting system in DC involves purchasing a non-cannabis item and receiving cannabis as a “gift”. While widely accepted, it operates in a legal gray area.

Medical Marijuana in DC

Obtaining a medical marijuana card can offer advantages such as access to medical-grade products, higher possession limits, and legal protection as a registered patient.

Cannabis Events and Community

DC has a vibrant cannabis community with various events throughout the year, including the annual National Cannabis Festival.

Conclusion

The Washington DC cannabis market in 2024 offers diverse options for consumers. Whether you choose a premier service like Snackz DC or explore other avenues, prioritize safety, quality, and compliance with local laws. Stay informed about the latest regulations and best practices for a safe and enjoyable experience.

A man has come forward claiming he killed rapper Foolio after Yungeen Ace put up $10,000 to have him murdered.

The rapper died in an ambush at a Holiday Inn in Tampa while celebrating his 26th birthday. The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death but are yet to identify any suspects.

However, on Thursday (July 4), a video surfaced online of a Jacksonville man confessing to the murder. The unnamed man partially covered his face with a ski mask and wore an orange beanie. The video was captioned, “I bagged Foolio for 10k.”

“I’m the one who smacked Julio Foolio that night when he got dropped at his birthday celebration,” he began. “I ain’t show my face or give my identity away or nothing like that, but I did that.”

He continued, alleging that Foolio’s longtime nemesis, Yungeen Ace, offered $10,000 to end his life.

“There was money on his head. I rock with Ace and them boys, ATK, I be in Jacksonville heavy. If you know you know,” he added. “I did that, I handled that, ‘cause Ace had that money on his head. Ace had done put that 10k up, told me to slide. Told me to smack fool ‘cause he got tired of that n#### running his mouth playing all the time.”

The man claimed he did it for the money and doesn’t feel sorry because “Foolio had it coming to him.” He also denied rumors the killing was gang-related, saying, “Ace put that bread up and whoever wanted to take it, take it, so I took that. Rest in peace Foolio.”

EXCLUSIVE: Rapsody Says Baby Tate Replaced Jill Scott On “A Ballad For Homegirls” Collab

Rapsody is giving multi-hyphenate artist Baby Tate her flowers following her heroic efforts on their collaboration featured on her recent album Please Don’t Cry.

During an exclusive interview with AllHipHop at the 2024 BET Awards, Rapsody broke down how she connected with Baby Tate for their joint-effort, “A Ballad For Homegirls.” with the help of Black Odyssey. While detailing the creative process of the song, Rapsody explained how the personal nature of the concept for the song influenced how she delivered the message.

“The concept came, it was me and Black Odyssey out in Texas working on the record,” she said. “And at the time I was going through my own relationship issues, but I would always talk to my homegirls and this album I put out is so about me. So it was like, I know I’m not the only one to talk to our home girls.

“So I was like, let me capture for all of us what that feels like. And I wanted it to feel like I was talking to you too. Right. So I did the conversation piece, but I knew I wanted a singer though. I just wanted to bring another flare and complete the story.

Rapsody also explained how Baby Tate’s duality as an artist helped fill a major void on the record after Jill Scott wasn’t able to be apart of the track.

“At first, I reached out to Joe Scott because I wanted her on the hook and then Tate on the verse, but she wasn’t available,” she said. “But I called Baby Tate. She’s humbly and graciously said yes. And I told her, I said, I know you could rap, but I know you could sing too. I don’t know if everybody else do. I’ve heard you sing. I know who your mother is, and she absolutely killed it. I am blessed to have her. So that’s how it all came together.”

Additionally, she’s delivered a number of mind-numbing freestyles which have established her as a formidable rapper. Inspired by the success of this project, she decided to showcase her vocal prowess more prominently, incorporating her singing talent into subsequent releases.

Ryan Garcia Mocks George Floyd’s Death In Unhinged Twitter Rant

Ryan Garcia is facing intense backlash following an unhinged Twitter rant where the controversial boxer dropped the n-word repeatedly, mocked George Floyd and made other racist and bigoted comments.

Early in the morning on July 4, Garcia shared a series of bizarre posts, including one alleging he was assaulted by an unnamed Black man. “So a black man raped me and it’s okay and everyone acts like it never happened,” he wrote. Garcia also claimed, “Lil Wayne said I can say the n-word.”

He spewed hateful messages about Mexicans, Muslims, Christians and other groups and ranted about Black people eating babies. He also weighed in on the Israel-Palestine conflict while making disparaging remarks.

Furthermore, Garcia hosted a series of X Spaces conversations, including one titled “George Floyd is a b####.”

At one point during the chat, Garcia stated, “Let’s go bring George Floyd back to life and kill that n##### again.”

During another chat he named, “Christians are gay,” Garcia used the n-word with the hard “r.”

“This is why I said all the Black people who were defending Ryan Garcia have little to no understanding of racial politics. Dude is making a fool out of yall in real time,” one person responded.

During a recent interview with Fight Hub TV, Ryan Garica’s father urged him to get therapy. “I haven’t spoken to Ryan in a long time,” he said. He speaks to his mother more than me. But it’s okay, he’ll call me when he wants to. I would love for him to get some type of therapy when it comes to his drinking. I’m being real. He says he can control it. I hope he can. But if he doesn’t – get that therapy so he can stop.”

However, Garcia insisted he doesn’t drink anymore and said his father “doesn’t know what he is talking about.”

Social media users blasted Ryan Garcia over his racist and bigoted remarks. Check out some of the reactions below.

Ice Spice’s Listeners Have Apparently Dropped By 32 Million

Trouble In Barbie Land: Ice Spice Sees Huge Drop in Spotify Listeners Before Debut Album Drops

Yo, what’s good, fam? We got some interesting chatter about Ice Spice and it’s not good. The Bronx rapper is facing a surprising, scary dip in her Spotify listeners. Now, she just performed at the 2024 BET Awards and it seemed to go over well. That’s a good sign she’s still popping a bit, right?

Well…it is complicated.

So, get this: between August 2023 and June 2024, Ice Spice saw her monthly listeners drop by a jaw-dropping 67 percent, according to a recent report. That’s a whopping 31,658,575 listeners gone (temporarily at least).

She hit her peak at 47,203,544 listeners August 2023, but now, a mere month before her debut album Y2K! drops hits, she’s sitting at 15,458,480. Ouch. I’m thinking they need a new single and collaboration to bring those numbers up. I should mention that he streams seem to be going up based on something I saw myself.

Her latest single, “Phat Butt,” is kinda struggling too. (By the way, she talks directly to her haters on this song.) The solo track has racked up about 1,268,649 global streams on Spotify and a little more than 2 million streams on YoutTbe. Compared to her previous bangers, this one isn’t hitting the same.

Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj co-signs were helping at one point, but it’s clear Ice Spice’s popularity has taken a hit. None of her solo hits have broken into the Top 5. That said, “Deli” is my JAM. OK, I just sounded like a 70-year old man.

Ice Spice will be fine. Between the kids, Taylor Swift and the powers-that-be, she’s got plenty of support. She’s too big to fail as they say.

Let’s rock to my favorite song.

YNW Melly Murder Case In Disarray As He Sits In Jail Awaiting Retrial

YNW Melly’s former lawyer Bradford Cohen criticized Florida prosecutors for mishandling the rapper’s murder case. Cohen reacted to an appeals court affirming a judge’s decision blocking the prosecution from cross-examining a state attorney if she’s a witness in Melly’s retrial.

“Essentially, the Broward State Attorneys Office really screwed this case up,” Cohen wrote on Instagram. “I have never seen anything like it. Literally refused to pass this case to an unconflicted state attorneys office after the defense listed one of their own state attorneys as a witness. They wanted to be able to cross examine the state attorney that was what amounted to a whistle blower and testified that a police officer lied.

The lower court ruled that the Broward State Attorney Office cannot cross examine one of their own. That means if they stay in the case, there will be no cross examination of the State Attorney that testified the lead detective lied about the service of a subpoena. The appellate court just agreed with the lower court.”

Cohen added, “A real circus over this case and mishandled from the 1st day when I was in the case. Bad investigation and even a worse trial. To think that the Broward State Attorneys Office would mishandle an important double murder case because of ego… unbelievable.”

Melly, whose real name is Jamell Demons, was arrested on first-degree murder charges in 2019. Prosecutors accuse him of killing his friends YNW Juvy and YNW Sakchaser in 2018.

The incarcerated rapper faced trial in July 2023. It ended in a mistrial.

Prosecutors sought a retrial. Jury selection began in October 2023, but the proceedings were put on hold indefinitely. Appeals and motions must be sorted out before jury selection resumes.

Melly has remained behind bars since his 2019 arrest. He faces a possible death sentence if convicted of murder.

“But I seen a few poor broke dirty fatback b###### on Instagram talking about my son and it just it just make me so angry and mad,” he continued. “But then I have to realize that my son is richer than them. He has a more successful life.”

DDG boasted about little Halo’s privileged life before threatening the trolls in no uncertain terms.

“Make sure you keep that on the internet, cuz I’ll kill you in real life,” he said. But I don’t want to come over here and be super-duper negative. It’s just I’m very protective over my son, I’m protective over family in general. But my son I’m like overly protective, like crash out protective.”

EXCLUSIVE: Trae Tha Truth Dishes On “Crowd Control” Album + New J. Cole Feature

Trae Tha Truth has peeled back additional contextual layers to reveal the meaning and ultimate motive of his upcoming album, Crowd Control.

During an exclusive interview with AllHipHop at the 2024 BET Awards, Trae Tha Truth explained how the concept of the project is indicative of more than just maintaining his post as a cross-generational rapper. In fact, the Houston lyricist said his approach to the music on the album itself is more of an ode to his ability to adapt rather than his ability to rap.

“Yeah, I have my new album Crowd Control,” Trae The Truth said. “That come out July 26. It’s a turn-up album, just summer vibes, you know. But the reason I call it Crowd Control— one is the game is more so in the festival world now. So it’s dope stuff there. And Crowd Control is also the definition of in the form of being the leader, because the slogan is ‘Control the crowd, don’t let it control you.'”

Trae Tha Truth briefly touched on his approach in his planned follow-up releases arriving after Crowd Control.

“So definitely a fun project,” he said. “Then I’m going to get back to the more lyrical music of what I know how to do.”But that and then Trae Day coming up July 19 through the 22. So everybody going to be in Houston for that, man.”

Trae Tha Truth continues to leave his mark on the Hip-Hop industry throughout his longevity, especially amid his recent string of impactful releases. In 2022, he dropped the collaborative album ABN Renegadez with Houston rap legend, Z-Ro, showcasing their enduring chemistry and addressing real-world issues.

Not to mention last year when he kept fans on their toes by releasing his “Exhale” single series highlighting his resilience and commitment to his craft. Despite being banned from Houston’s radio stations for over 15 years due to a controversial feud, Trae has successfully leveraged social media, streaming platforms, and grassroots community support to sustain his career and influence, proving that his voice can’t be silenced.

In addition to all of that, Trae Tha Truth just released the remix to J. Cole’s Might Delete Later track, “Trae Tha Truth In Ibiza,” which features his blazing new verse alongside the Dreamville MC’s lyrical handiwork.

“When we did it, if you hear me end I say, ‘Even when we fall off we don’t fall off,’ and that’s the segway as he’s getting ready for his album The Fall Off,” he explained. “Everything was calculated with that.”

Kai Cenat Blows Up His House With Fireworks Explosion But Viewers Debunk Stunt

Kai Cenat and MrBeast‘s joint stream ended with a bang after his 4th of July massive fireworks haul apparently exploded in spectacular fashion.

On Wednesday (July 3), the heavyweight streamers hooked up for a collaboration where they planned to give away $250,000 to viewers. MrBeast arrived to find Cenat surrounded by piles of fireworks, noting that he had enough to “blow up your house.”

However, Cenat insisted he only had them for defense from his fellow MPG group streamers. He told MrBeast he was especially cautious of his friend Davis following a fireworks “war” last year. The hi-jinks event included Cenat targeting his friends with an RPG-style weapon and Davis throwing a firework into Kai Cenat’s room.

While streaming with MrBeast, Cenat warned the other AMP members, “Tomorrow if you try me, I’m crashing out.”

Then, Davis joined the stream and told MrBeast that he’s been homeless since last July 4 because Cenat destroyed all his stuff during their fireworks war.

“How about I return the favor,” he said, implying he would light the room up with the giant box he arrived with. He and Cenat then tussled over the box before Davis lit the firework.

The duo rushed out of the room before the fireworks began exploding one by one. The stream continued for a while as the room filled with smoke before the camera cut out.

However, after clips of the explosion circulated online, social media users soon discovered the explosion was a stunt. Kai Cenat and MrBeast streamed from a set modeled after the streamer’s room. Eagle-eyed fans pointed to the subtle differences in the room, debunking the stunt.

From Australia To NYC: Hip-Hop Journalist Simone Jordan’s Memoir Is A Helluva Ride

When Simone Amelia Jordan sat down to write her new memoir, Tell Her She’s Dreamin’, she had an epiphany. Growing up in Australia, the former content director for The Source—once considered Hip-Hop’s “Bible”—always felt uniquely alone during her formative years. But as she went through the writing process, she realized  elements of her story could mirror the experiences of countless other women.

“I always felt that my experiences were so left of center and so individual,” she tells AllHipHop by Zoom. “And then when I sat down to write the book and I covered so much ground, I figured out, ‘Man, I know this is going to touch so many young women and women in so many different ways and make me feel that I’m not alone.’ We’re all more similar than we are different.”

Bullied at private school and labeled an outlier due to her Lebanese-Cypriot background, Jordan had to swim upstream to make a name for herself. But, as the title of the book suggests, she was able to manifest her dream of not only making the move from Down Under to the Big Apple but also working for a Hip-Hop magazine and interviewing many of her rap heroes.

Along the way, she tapped into her challenging childhood years and used them as fuel. In vibrant detail, Jordan recalled one specific incident in which she was caught shoplifting as a teen. Her mother, needless to say, was furious.

“I know we’re not supposed to say this, but my mother beat the s### out of me after that,” she says with a laugh. “I had gotten a scholarship to a private school, and I saw these all these girls with things my mother couldn’t afford. I didn’t want to ask her for money she didn’t have, so that led to my shoplifting career. That was my basically only criminal activity, and I went down in a blaze of glory.”

In hindsight, she was insulted by the police officers who caught her. She continues, “With the other part of the book, I’m chasing this Lebanese identity culturally because I’m not full Lebanese; I wanted to be more Arab. I wanted to be viewed as a person of color in Hip-Hop. So, when the police arrested me and said, ‘I bet you’re Lebanese,’ I was like, ‘Yes.’ I was so proud. But then looking back, I’m like, ‘Wait a minute, that wasn’t a nice thing for them to say.”

Tell Her She’s Dreamin’ is chock full of charming childhood anecdotes and the hard-won lessons Jordan learned throughout her journalism career. But it also digs deep into some of the challenges she faced as a woman in Hip-Hop. She was well aware of the potential not to be taken seriously as a journalist due to her gender.

“I would do everything in my power not to be seen as a flirt when I interviewed rappers on camera,” she remembers. “But I would still get all of these comments on my YouTube videos like, ‘She wants to bang Rick Ross and all this insane stuff. I had to highlight a couple of negative experiences because it’s part of my story. I wanted young female readers to hopefully take that information in and maybe remember it when they need to, but I also wanted to balance that out with the majority of experiences that I’ve had in my career have been overwhelmingly positive.”

And Jordan knows she’s lucky. From interviewing Rihanna and Aaliyah to Nicki Minaj and Kendrick Lamar, she’s enjoyed a career most only dream of (no pun intended). Making the move to New York City in 2006 afforded her  the kind of opportunities she wished for as a kid.

“I have wanted to be a Hip-Hop journalist since I was a child, which you would have read in the book,” she says. “I knew that I was living in a country where that wasn’t a job—there was no Hip-Hop journalist to speak of in Australia in the city of Sydney. I had to buy The Source and Vibe at 13 years old for $20-something each. That’s how much they were due to shipping. I spent all the money I had, any pocket money I could make, to buy these magazines that I thought were my only connection to this art form that I loved and connected with so much.

“So I always had this innate sense of, ‘This is what I was meant to do,’ and I worked hard.  I was very clear on that goal, even though it was an insane goal to have at the time. But nothing ever felt insane to me. When you’re young, you’re fearless.”

She continues, “As I say in the beginning of the book, my grandmother, who helped raise me with my mother, was a workaholic and worked multiple jobs while raising seven kids on her own. And my mother was a dreamer who didn’t like work so much, but she had these big plans and wanted to join the circus and was more creative. I am the product of both of them. So I had the dreams and then I had the work ethic to make them reality, which I guess is the magic secret recipe.”

But Jordan’s dream of being content director at The Source was cut drastically short. After one year at the helm, she was forced to vacate her position and move home in 2016. Her Crohn’s disease had flared up and she was in dire need of rest and recovery. Needless to say, she was gutted.

“It was like it was the end of the world,” she says with a sigh. “I had busted my ass for 10 years in New York and for years before that in Australia, and I felt like I had finally gotten a role that had some visibility, where I could flourish and really kind of rise to the occasion. That was ripped away from me because of this illness that had gotten so bad because the hard work I had put in and the stress I put myself under to get to that role.

“From the minute I landed in Australia, I feel like I was depressed for a very long time because I felt like I had this dream robbed. It took me a long time to understand that you have to just get back up again and keep fighting. But I didn’t listen Hip-Hop music for at least two to three years after I left. I just withdrew from music because it was too painful. And as I say in the book, my now-husband would say, ‘Let’s talk about the Joe Budden Podcast or let’s debate about what’s going on,’ and I would get mad. I was in the mix, now I’m just a spectator and it was so painful. That was an extremely tough time.”

To add insult to injury, the same day Jordan had to quit The Source, she was told she was approved for an O-1 visa that would allow her to stay in the United States for a few more years and then she’d be able to apply for a green card. While the news was devastating, the tradeoff was Jordan met her husband, had a daughter and got to be with her beloved grandmother before she passed away. Now, Jordan does consultancy for non-profit organizations, she’s plotting an essay collection and working on launching The Dream Collective, a networking and mentoring series for diverse women in the arts and entertainment.

She’s still living the dream.

“If you’re a dream chaser, that never leaves you,” she says. “No matter how much you think it does, that’s just this innate hunger for more. There was a period when I first got home where I felt like, ‘This is it for me. I have to hang up my jersey, my career is done.’ But the more that the smoke cleared and I settled down in other parts of my life, it became very clear to me that I’m always going to be a storyteller. I’m always going to be an advocate for the power of Hip-Hop to change lives.”

Her next dream? If the book ever makes it to the big screen, Jordan hopes Ava DuVernay will be behind it. “Vision board, s###!” she says.

Tell Her She’s Dreamin’ is currently available for in the U.S. Find it here (and don’t stop dreamin’).

Diddy Under Criminal Investigation In New York

Sean “Diddy” Combs is reportedly the subject of an ongoing criminal investigation in New York.

Sources revealed that a federal grand jury in the Southern District of New York is hearing evidence as part of the investigation into the rapper.

The nature of the probe has not been disclosed.

The official also confirmed that Combs, 54, and his legal team were formally notified of the grand jury last week.

According to NBC News, there is no indication that charges are imminent.

The report comes three months after the musician’s properties in Los Angeles and Miami were raided by federal agents.

The “I’ll Be Missing You” hitmaker has been accused of sexual misconduct in several lawsuits since November.

The latest complaint was filed on Wednesday by a former adult film star who is suing him for alleged sexual trafficking.

Adria English claims Combs forced her to have sex with guests at his parties in the 2000s.

The rapper’s lawyer Jonathan Davis once again denied the allegations, saying in a statement, “No matter how many lawsuits are filed, it won’t change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone.”

He continued, “We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason and without any proof. Fortunately, a fair and impartial judicial process exists to find the truth and Mr. Combs is confident he will prevail against these and other baseless claims in court.”

The Hip-Hop star’s downfall began when his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura accused him of rape and domestic violence in November 2023.

He denied the allegations via his lawyer and they settled her lawsuit days later.

However, in May, a video surfaced showing Combs punching and kicking Ventura in a hotel hallway in 2016.

Combs subsequently apologised for his “inexcusable” behaviour, saying in a social media clip that he was “disgusted” by his actions.

Kendrick Lamar Appears With Family In Teaser For “Not Like Us” Video

Kendrick Lamar is giving fans a first glimpse of his upcoming “Not Like Us” video, ramping up the excitement for the release.

While scenes from K. Dot’s Compton video shoot were plastered across social media, the new images are more direct jabs at the song’s target, Drake.

During their beef, the Canadian superstar alleged that Lamar’s children were not his and were fathered by Lamar’s manager, Dave Free. He also accused him of abusing his fiancée Whitney Alford and claimed Lamar was estranged from his family.

However, the new images include one photo of Lamar alongside Alford and their two children.

Another photo gaining traction features Kendrick Lamar striking an owl piñata with another dig at Drake OVO brand in the disclaimer. “No OVOHoes were harmed in the making of this video.”

While Kendrick Lamar is yet to share a release date for the “Not like Us” visuals, the new images only served to heighten the anticipation.

Meanwhile, although the battle has ended, its impact continues, as do the opinions. LL Cool J is the latest to address the clash, saying the feud did a lot for Hip-Hop.

“Kendrick won the battle. I mean, come on. That’s obvious,” he said during an appearance on Hot 97. “I like Drake. I love his music,” he added but said taking on K. Dot “might have been a bad choice.”

“I respect both of them,” he explained. “It was great for Hip Hop culture, don’t get it twisted. Both of their names will be etched in history because of it. Even us just talking about it now is etching it into history.”
