Nicki Minaj Gives Ben Shapiro’s Viral Rap Her Seal Of Approval—People Lose It

Nicki Minaj has weighed in on Ben Shapiro and Tom McDonald’s random rap collaboration, “Facts.” McDonald and the conservative talk show host/editor of The Daily Wire released the song and accompanying video on Friday (January 26) and somehow, it became the No. 1 song on iTunes.

Shapiro, of course, can’t stop bragging about it, tweeting, “We’re now #1 overall on iTunes, too. On the way, we knocked off, among others, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Megan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj, Eminem, and Taylor Swift. @IAMTOMMACDONALD and I have officially made hip-hop great again, as was always my lifelong dream.” He also added “America’s #1 rapper” to his Twitter bio.

Upon hearing the track, Minaj tweeted, “I just listened to it @benshapiro not bad. Congrats on #1. But it def sounds like Roman’s Revenge when the beat first came in…idk.”

She added, “Ben Shapiro put out a diss record. He said his comment sections are filled with woke Karens. The song is #1 on US iTunes. what is rlly happening & whos is that other man rapping???? Is this real life??!! He said ‘Nicki take some notes’ nah AYO nah.”

Some people are disgusted by Minaj’s support of a person who has a reputation for being antisemitic, racist, transphobic and homophobic.

“Nicki Minaj really congratulated Ben Shapiro for going #1 on ITunes for that rap song with Tom Macdonald. What a bunch of clowns,” one person commented, while another said, “So Nicki Minaj is congratulating a racist bigoted white nationalist Ben Shapiro who is 100% against any black progress in America. Sis something is wrong with you but remember you was spreading disinformation about COVID.”

The comments are pouring in. Check out some of them below.

Busta Rhymes Lays Out His Retirement “Plan”

Busta Rhymes will never stop making new Hip-Hop music. The legendary rapper will never step away from creating new music privately in the studio, even if he decides to stop releasing it publicly later in his career.

“Every good thing comes to an end, but I don’t think I’d ever call it retirement,” he told The Guardian. “I love Hip-Hop culture too much. It has let me see the whole planet. Even if I am not releasing records publicly, I will always record just for me, even as an old-ass man. I love being inside those four walls of the studio.”

The 51-year-old musician, real name Trevor Smith Jr., explained that he uses his time in the studio to escape reality and doesn’t see himself letting that go.

“The studio doesn’t disrespect you or betray you; it is the place I go to escape all of that s###,” he shared. “I can be whoever I want to be in there. I can be Thanos, a dragon, a gentle giant. The passion for rapping continues to burn in my spirit and my soul, so, for now, I am going to continue on this path.”

Busta doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon – he released his eleventh studio album, Blockbusta, in November.

Ashanti Pregnancy Rumors Ramp Up Following Performance With Ja Rule

Ashanti reunited with her former beau Nelly in 2023 after roughly a decade apart. The couple sparked pregnancy rumors in recent months, but Fat Joe appeared to confirm she wasn’t carrying Nelly’s child. However, new video of Ashanti performing has ramped up the rumors once again.

In a clip of the veteran singer joining Ja Rule for their 2002 hit single “Mesmerize,” Ashanti is wearing an oversized t-shirt with thigh high boots in what looks like an attempt to hide a baby bump—at least that’s what her fans think. Social media lit up with comments about the possibility of her being pregnant.

“Ashanti is glowing, showing her most significant purpose in life just growing inside her,” one person wrote. “She’s rare and a lucky woman at 43 years old. Not many men would risk getting an older woman pregnant, especially men who already have kids. Ashanti wasn’t just a smash; she was a prize. I’m glad she won’t die alone like most women with no kids or a man her age; she has love and a legacy.”

Another added, “Ashanti might be pregnant. All these damn moomoo’s she keep wearing now,” while another said, “@ashanti obviously pregnant happy for her and Nelly.”

A source allegedly confirmed Ashanti and Nelly were expecting in December 2023, telling US Weekly, “Nelly and Ashanti are welcoming their first baby together.” That same month, Ashanti attended Nelly’s Black and White Ball in St. Louis. During the event, the “Only U” singer put her hand on her stomach while on stage with Nelly and he did the same. The couple then broke into laughter after seemingly hinting that they’re expanding their family.

If the rumors are true, the baby will be Ashanti’s first child. Nelly shares daughter Chanelle, 29, and son Cornell Haynes III, 24, with ex Channetta Valentine.

Benzino’s Daughter Coi Leray Speaks On Father’s Decades-Long Beef With Eminem

Coi Leray has shared a few thoughts on her father Benzino’s long-running feud with Eminem. Slim Shady reignited his beef with the former editor of The Source on Friday (January 26) with the track “Doomsday Pt. 2.” Armed with the same disdain he’s carried for him for more than 20 years, Em took aim at his physical appearance.

“What is the opposite of Benzino? A giraffe,” he raps. “Go at his neck, how the f### is that?/How can I go at something he doesn’t have/Arms so short he can’t even touch his hands/When they’re above his head doing jumping jacks/Sorry, I don’t mean to upset you Ben/When I talk about all the debt you in/I hear that you been creeping on the low/In them cheap hotels that they catch you in.”

Leray also caught a stray with, “Well, I guess then I regret to inform you, hate to spoil the day/But this doesn’t bring me no joy to say/Guess that Coi Leray feat’s in the toilet, ay.”

Both Leray and Benzino reacted to Eminem’s bars on Twitter (X) shortly after the song went up. But Leray circled back to remind her fans what a waste of time she thinks their beef is.

“There’s no way I’m about to entertain these grown a## men and the beef they been having for over 20years,” she wrote. “Lmao it’s so stupid all I can do is laugh. 2 decades later ?? gtfoh im grown. Move along. Go Stream my s###.”

After Coi Leray heard “Doomsday Pt. 2,” she initially tweeted, “Rap beef is so washed and tired. Exhausting. Embarrassing. Just f###ing over all corny as f###.” She added, “Man who the hell said I wanted a Eminem feature ?? . Imagine Eminem on Wanna Come thru?” then concluded, “I got no issues with no one. I’m so locked in on my grown and sexy vibes… if anybody don’t like me, that’s something they gotta take on with them selves.”

Benzino, meanwhile, challenged Eminem to a boxing match, tweeting, “Man c’mon, people are out here starving and this what he on? That nursery rhyme bs??? He can’t even come out side on his own. Nah bro sorry. That ain’t it. People in Detroit are f##### up. He got millions. Doing absolutely nothing. Why won’t he fight me? Boxing. I’ll beat the link off him. He can’t even go across the street his entire life without security. I’m too old for this rap … Bro he’s too old and nobody cares. C’mon man grow up.”

Eminem and Benzino’s issues date back to 2002, when The Source magazine gave Eminem’s critically acclaimed album The Eminem Show a 4/5 rating. He only recently admitted to blocking it from receiving a perfect score.

Blac Chyna Ready For More Children

Blac Chyna has suggested she wants more children with her current partner, Derrick Milano.

The reality star, who has had several plastic surgery features reversed, has told Entertainment Tonight the only reason she might go under the knife again is to have more children.

“I feel like the only time I’ll have to get surgery again is if I have our babies,” she said on-camera to rapper boyfriend of several months, Derrick. “I actually had two C-sections, so that’s the only surgery.”

Derrick added that he “absolutely” wants to have kids with his partner. Blac Chyna, who now goes by her birth name Angela Renee White, is already mom to son King Cairo, 11, with ex-partner Tyga, and daughter Dream seven, with Rob Kardashian.

Despite being ready to become a mom again, she admitted her kids aren’t so keen on expanding the family. “I think I said something to Dream one time, like, ‘Dream, would you want a little brother or sister?’ And Dream was like, ‘No.’ Then she’ll be like ‘Well, I would maybe want a little brother, that way he’ll be really nice to me.’”

Angela has been embroiled in messy custody battles with both of her ex-partners, but she confirmed these have been resolved.

“We have structure. I think structure’s key,” she said. “I fought my way through it. It’s done. I’m so excited. You have no idea.”

In September 2023, she announced she had been sober for a year.

“September 14 2023 marks my one-year of sobriety this year taught me a lot about myself,” she wrote on Instagram. “I made up my mind on September 14 2022 that I was done with the alcohol. This process is not easy but I did it, I plan on continuing practicing sobriety.”

Lil Nas X Talks Hellish Debut Of Latest Single “J Christ”

Lil Nas X has insisted he is not “upset” about his latest single, “J Christ,” underperforming on the charts. “J Christ,” the lead single from Lil Nas X’s upcoming album, debuted at No. 69 on Billboard’s Hot 100 over the weekend, a far cry from Nas’ usual position at the top of the charts.

However, in an interview with Variety, the “Old Town Road” hitmaker insisted he was “thankful” to be in the charts at all.

“I’m proud of my song and the video. Everyone expected me to be upset or something,” he said. “But I’m a very spiritual person. I’m thankful that I get to even be in the charts and still be in the conversation. And I’m making new music and it’s been so long. So I’m grateful for that.”

The 24-year-old sparked controversy with the religious imagery in the “J Christ” artwork and music video, which showed him affixed to a cross and playing basketball with the Devil. He later apologized for causing offense with the imagery.

Earlier this week, Nas joked about the sexual connotation behind his chart position.

“We did it boys! We reached the funny number,” he wrote on X/Twitter. “Be very proud of yourselves. this is our moment!”

He followed up “J Christ” with a new single titled “Where Do We Go Now?” As for the upcoming album, Nas is feeling no pressure to live up to the success of his debut, Montero.

“I’m a very spiritual young man. I believe that things are going to work out as long as I’m doing my part,” he stated. “I’ve never worked harder on an album or done more in my life internally to get things right. I’m excited for the outcome.”

Keke Palmer Accused Of Stalking Ex-Boyfriend’s Family

Keke Palmer has been hit with a restraining order by her ex-boyfriend Darius Jackson’s brother. Sarunas Jackson has filed restraining orders against Keke and her mother Sharon Palmer.

Sarunas, also an actor, has accused the pair of “harassment,” according to documents and is seeking protection for himself, his parents, and one of his other brothers. The “Insecure” actor alleged that Keke harassed him on January 11.

“She has made foul claims that I have sexual abuse claims on me when I do not,” Sarunas wrote, detailing the alleged harassment. “I have never done such a thing. She has gone to the media & has used her celebrity to publicly lie on (sic) my family and myself, which has resulted in death threats by the public.”

The actor has also claimed that Keke stalked his friends and family online.

“She has harassed and stalked my friends and family’s social media,” the filing claimed. “She has reached out to people in relation to me to lie on (sic) me and my family. Has caused career damage.”

According to the documents, Sarunas has demanded that Keke Palmer stay at least “150 yards” away from him, his family, his home and his workplace. The actor also claimed Sharon had threatened him and his family.

The restraining orders come weeks after Darius claimed Keke was the “primary aggressor” in their relationship following her initial domestic violence complaint.

Keke Palmer and Darius welcomed a son, Leodis, in February last year. Their relationship ended in late 2023 and they have been embroiled in legal battles ever since.

Sexyy Red Now Go-To Referral For Therapists Treating Their Patients?

Sexyy Red’s music may be being used as a coping mechanism for individuals dealing with issues managing their mental health.

Based on a new viral video circulating of a young man in distress, Big Sexyy could be coming to a therapist near you—in theory. The aforementioned man went viral earlier this week after a clip he recorded of himself breaking down in tears crying while driving and listening to Sexyy’s hook on “Rich Baby Daddy” began circulating.

“My therapist told me to listen to some happy music whenever I’m having a mental breakdown,” he wrote in the onscreen text of the video.

Granted the song is actually one of Drake’s For All The Dogs anthems and also features SZA, the man is predominantly singing Sexyy’s poignant lyrics “bring that ass over, make that Coochie breathe,” throughout the incident. It feels like Sexyy’s energy is the only thing keeping everything from falling apart at the seams.

In the end, it’s kind of sad because the guy appears to determine it’s not working and doesn’t visibly console himself on camera. Not to mention the lighthearted caption of “Me on my way to work,” further draws the sense of urgency away from the clip. But the one silver lining here is the fact that this person is trying to overcome such a debilitating condition and Sexyy’s music is apart of that process.

Mood boosting music is one thing, but are we really dealing with the root of the problem via this therapy?

Emcee N.I.C.E. Celebrates 50 Years of Hip Hop Legacy, From Chart Topping Hits to PhD

Emcee N.I.C.E. has achieved some remarkable milestones, consistently shattered boundaries, and redefined what is achievable. He has excelled as an actor, entrepreneur, author, producer, and recording artist. His journey spans secular music to Christian hip hop, and he’s even racked up impressive academic honors, including a Ph.D. in Music, Business, and Entrepreneurship in 2023 from Harvest Christian University as well as an appointment as Vice Chancellor of Harvest Christian University Extension Campus Compton/Los Angeles.

Aulsondro “Novelist” Hamilton first embarked on his musical journey in 1994 with “A Lighter Shade of Brown.” the first Latin rap group to appear on the Billboard charts, opening doors for other Latin artists also featured on the group’s greatest hits in 1999. For much of his musical career, he has operated under the moniker Emcee N.I.C.E, with N.I.C.E. standing for “Novelist Is Constantly Evolving.” Emcee N.I.C.E. helped co-produce and be a part of Tupac’s posthumous album, “Better Dayz,” which went triple Platinum. He co-produced the lead single, “Thugz Mansion – Acoustic Version” featuring Nas and J. Phoenix.

Emcee N.I.C.E. has earned plenty of other accolades, including an award from President Joe Biden recognizing his philanthropy and musical staying power. He was one of the creators of “Da Jammies,” the first African-American animated music series on Netflix, and the author of the top-selling book in Amazon’s music category, “Music Release University: The Indies’ Guide to Releasing Music.”

Emcee N.I.C.E. recently sat down to share details about his life, music, upcoming events, and other projects.

Why did you switch from traditional rap to Christian rap?

In 2017, God came in and said, “Yo, this is what I need you to do.” I was like “Alright Father, are you for real?”  I had released a record with an actress named Stacey Dash. We were really on the verge when her negative comments about Obama happened. It killed the record, backlash was intense, and I had to lay low. About eight months later I landed on the Billboard Hot Single charts with Suhana Machete and a song called “Tonight.” I was on the verge again, and that’s when God said, “I need you to come back to Christian rap; it’s your roots.” When I came into Christian hip hop I had five No. 1 records on the Billboard charts, including the No. 1 Top Gospel Album as an independent for “Praise.” I became one of seven Christian hip hop artists to accomplish that feat. The only way I could do this was to utilize what I learned in the ‘90s like street teams. Today, there are digital street teams, so I combined both.

What was it like co-producing Tupac’s “Thugz Mansion”?

It’s a good feeling to be a part of history with a couple of the greatest rappers of all time. I was in a group called KansasCali and we were starting to bubble when Kevin Black and his partner Delaine Roberts took interest in a group member who was an extremely talented producer, and brought him out to L.A.’s Skip Saylor studios for the pre-production, went well, then they stashed us away at a house in Modesto and every day an armed guard would bring in 2 Pac’s vocals and then take all the files making sure the computers and everything was deleted. “Thugz Mansion” wasn’t meant to be an acoustic version but the label was looking for different beats to complement the vocals. We had a legendary guitarist come in and play to the sample. Then we had the engineer mute all of the music except for 2 Pac’s voice and the guitar, and greatness was unearthed.

How does it feel to be honored by Joe Biden?

Receiving President Biden’s Lifetime Achievement Award, is a big deal, shout out to VZ Vonzell Washington, it’s good to be recognized for all of the work you’ve put in, look I’ve been in the music business since 1993 professionally and I’m still here. I co-own the largest faith-based hip hop radio station in the world with business partner Chanie G called God’s House of Hip Hop, partnered with Dash Radio. We became the first hip hop station in the history of gospel to win a Stellar Award, equivalent to the Grammys and 15 Spin Awards. Along with the Netflix show and being an author, I sit on the board as president of the iTL Foundation (Information, Technology & Literacy), and Urbanomics 101.

Emcee N.I.C.E. – We Will

What are some of your goals?

The first goal of 2024 was to release my album, “Iron Dove – Act II: 1919 The WAR.” My ultimate goal, though, is to be a multi-billionaire in the next 5-10 years. Not just for the money, but I want to build performing arts facilities around the U.S. independent of state funding, so they don’t get shut down when states start cutting budgets. I want to create facilities, schools that will have a pipeline to L.A., New York, Atlanta and Miami, so that once they leave school, they will have opportunities to expand their career and succeed.

Anything else you want people to know?

My book, “Music Release University” is going to help you release music, but also help in life. I apply something called SWOT, which is identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of an artist, the book has the details. I also released another book called “Songwriting Secrets – Mastering the Art of Songwriting!” In my 3 decades of music, hits have been made and I give you my secrets. I’ve understood how to maneuver and I’m still maneuvering. One lesson is for any great achievement, someone has to be the first. Why not you? Another one is to strive for perfection, so you limit mistakes. We’re not perfect people, we’re always gonna have mistakes, but if you’re striving to be the best, you’ll limit those mistakes.

He shares valuable lessons, encouraging aspiring artists to be pioneers and strive for perfection, recognizing that while makes are inevitable, aiming for excellence minimizes their impact.  We are looking forward to what 2024 continues to bring him. Keep up with him on social media @emceenicela and website emceenice.com. Also, download his new album on all digital music platforms and check out his books.

Nicki Minaj Gets Dragged Online Amid Feud With Megan Thee Stallion

Nicki Minaj is one of the top trending topics on social media at the moment. Unfortunately for the Hip-Hop superstar, many X and TikTok users have seemingly taken Megan Thee Stallion’s side in the rappers’ ongoing beef.

Fans suspect the two women have been throwing subliminal shots at each other ever since Megan Thee Stallion linked with Nicki Minaj’s longtime rival, Cardi B, for the “WAP” collaboration in 2020.

Megan’s “Thot S###” from 2021 included the line, “Man, ain’t nobody come to see you, Otis.” On 2023’s “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” track, Minaj said, “But I don’t f### with horses since Christopher Reeves.”

Megan Thee Stallion reignited the perceived bad blood with Nicki Minaj by releasing her new single “Hiss” on Friday (January 26). The track features the Hot Girl Coach rapping, “These hoes don’t be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan’s Law.”

The Megan’s Law reference appeared to be a shot at Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty. That federal law requires local authorities to make sex offenders’ information public. Petty was convicted for attempted rape by force of a then-16-year-old girl in 1995. He must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

“A Hit Dog Gonna Holler” – Megan Thee Stallion

Nicki Minaj shot back at Megan Thee Stallion in a series of Instagram Lives and X posts. Megan then called into The Breakfast Club to talk about the “Hiss” record. When asked who was the intended target of her diss, Meg answered, “A hit dog gonna holler, that’s it. Whoever feels it, feels it.”

The next 20+ hours saw Nicki Minaj constantly ranting about Megan Thee Stallion. At one point, Minaj mentioned Meg’s deceased mom. The leader of the Barbz said, “You better go conjure up your mother and apologize.”

Those comments by Minaj did not go over well with a large section of the general public. In particular, the conversation about family members brought up the fact that Minaj’s brother, Jelani Maraj, also received a 25-year prison sentence for repeatedly raping his 11-year-old stepdaughter.

TikToker Bela Delgado Blasts Nicki Minaj

“Nicki really sat on live talking about Megan’s mother that died and had the audacity to say ‘go conjure up your mother’ now if someone brings up yo dead ass daddy and sex offender brother it’s a problem,” one X account tweeted. A motorist killed Minaj’s father, Robert Maraj, during a hit-and-run incident in 2021.

X users also made fun of Nicki Minaj’s day-long tirade as Megan Thee Stallion mostly remained quiet following the uproar caused by “Hiss” and the responses. One person wrote, “Nicki over there SPIRALING like a crack head fresh outta [cocaine] and Megan prolly at home watching anime.”

Additionally, TikTokers took aim at Nicki Minaj. For example, Bela Delgado’s video about the Queens native went viral. In the clip, Delgado called the Pink Friday 2 album creator a “disgusting and reprehensible person” and “the self-proclaimed queen of rape.”

Bela Delgado, who has 1.4 million TikTok followers, also slammed Nicki Minaj for her lyrics on Lil Twist’s “Old Enough (Remix).” In the 2009 song, Minaj rapped about wanting to have sex with a “young” boy behind the bleachers.

Kalan.FrFr Taps Detroit’s Own Tay B For “Don’t Move” Video

Kalan.FrFr creates music with a therapeutic quality that snaps people out of the matrix and reminds them that there is still so much living to do.

“Don’t Move” featuring rising rapper Tay B is the second single off his latest EP Not Hard 2 Understand. The project is a special body of work that relishes in how simple the message should be. Kalan.FrFr doesn’t apologize for the ways street culture shaped his worldview but he celebrates it in sincere detail and delivers it with confidence and pride, showcasing his growth as an artist and young man.

Directed by BenMarc, the music video for “Don’t Move” gives viewers a cinematic glimpse into Kalan.FrFr’s popstar world that begins with the west coast artist backstage at a show before entertaining a packed-out crowd. From there, its quick clips of the duo trading verses in garage parking lots, while cruising the L.A. streets pushing a Maybach truck on hydraulics and generous strip club scenes. They match the energy of the collaboration including the song’s bouncy 808 beat.

Kalan.FrFr doesn’t shy away from highlighting rap’s superficiality or extravagance; he embraces it and turns it into a movie. His big dawg status is emphasized in every frame; from a fleet of exotic cars, models and dancers to icy drip, stacks of cash and celebrity cameos, the boastful lyricist is on a quest to live life beyond limits.

“Don’t Move” was produced by longtime collaborators Diego Ave, Chambers and George Jenkins and continues in Kalan’s tradition of trying to keep West Coast music alive. Meanwhile choosing Tay B for a collab during his ascent was a smart move as we hear the Detroit rapper’s next album is being executive produced by Lil Baby.

About the Cali-Mid, West collab, Kalan says “Working with Tay B was so dope, he’s the homie & bro rap fire; it was written! We didn’t have a choice but to make a banger “

Snoop Dogg Teases Unreleased Michael Jackson Collaboration: “I Think I Can Track It Down”

Snoop Dogg expressed interest in tracking down an unreleased song he recorded with the late Michael Jackson. The D-O-Double-G recalled how the collaboration came to be in a chat with Andy Cohen on SiriusXM.

“I gotta find out [what happened to it],” Snoop said. “It’s a record that was done for some sort of—you know, he did records for the world. It was like some peaceful, a whole lot of artists on it record. He called me one night and it was crazy because the way his voice came through the phone, he was like, ‘Snoop, it’s Mike. I have this song I want you to get on.’ I’m like, ‘Man, anything you want, Mike. It ain’t no problem. Talk to me.’ Then after we got past the song, he was like, ‘My mom always said that you look like someone in my family. I think we’re related.'”

Snoop said he never received any updates about the song as it remained unreleased. But the legendary rapper suggested it wouldn’t be too difficult for him to find the track and possibly share it with fans.

“I think I can find out who got it though,” he told Cohen. “I think I can track it down and figure out who has it.”

Earlier in the conversation, Snoop recounted a funny story in which he annoyed Jackson at an event in Las Vegas. The current Death Row Records owner and Jackson’s dressing rooms were next door to each other, causing a small issue. Snoop blew weed smoke into Jackson’s room, which didn’t sit well with the King of Pop.

“He’s right there looking at me,” Snoop told Cohen. “He said, ‘Snoop, don’t do that.’”

Snoop appeared on SiriusXM to promote his new movie The Underdoggs, which dropped on Friday (January 26). The film is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.

6ix9ine Granted Release Following Arrest For Assaulting Girlfriend

Tekashi 6ix9ine received a conditional release in a domestic violence case on Thursday (January 25). According to the Associated Press, a Dominican judge released him from custody a week after he was arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend Yailín la Más Viral.

Judge Fátima Veloz ordered 6ix9ine to pay $510 and undergo counseling as part of the terms of his release. He must cooperate with authorities, meeting them every two months until they conclude their investigation.

6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, was arrested on domestic violence charges in the Dominican Republic on January 17. The charges stemmed from an incident in December 2023.

Waldo Pimentel, 6ix9ine’s attorney, claimed prosecutors fabricated evidence in the case. Prosecutor Ana Andrea Villa Camacho tried to convince the judge to keep the rapper in jail.

“We know perfectly well why victims do not file a complaint, why victims recant,” she said at the hearing.

Judge Veloz granted 6ix9ine’s release but issued protective orders to him and his alleged victim. Yailín was previously arrested for battery in Florida in December 2023. 6ix9ine posted videos of her hitting him on social media.

The domestic violence case emerged a few months after 6ix9ine was accused of assaulting two producers, Cristian Anthony Rojas and Nelson Alfonso Hilario García, in the Dominican Republic. He allegedly attacked them for spending time with Yailín.

6ix9ine secured bail in October 2023. A judge issued a restraining order and required him to participate in anger management.

The controversial rapper’s alleged assaults in the Dominican Republic added to his already extensive list of legal troubles. Before his rise to fame, 6ix9ine pleaded guilty to the use of a child in a sexual performance in 2015. He notoriously pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods and testified against the gang in 2019.

HoneyKomb Brazy Faces More Than Decade In Prison In Federal Gun Case

A grand jury indicted HoneyKomb Brazy and two other men, Miguel Hall and Mason Fuller, on federal gun charges in Alabama. According to Mobile’s FOX affiliate, the three defendants faced up to 15 years in prison for the charges. They are scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday (January 31).

HoneyKomb Brazy, whose real name is Nashon Jones, and his bodyguards were arrested on felon in possession of firearms charges in December 2023. Mobile County sheriff’s deputies pulled the trio’s vehicle for alleged traffic violations. Brazy was a passenger.

Authorities discovered two guns in the vehicle during the traffic stop. Hall, the driver, was wearing a bulletproof vest.

All three men were barred from possessing firearms due to past convictions. Brazy was previously convicted of first-degree robbery, first-degree assault, first-degree possession of marijuana and illegal possession of firearms.

Brazy’s lawyer Josh Briskman believed the rapper was unfairly targeted by authorities. Briskman claimed the guns did not belong to his client. Brazy allegedly did not know his bodyguards were felons.

“I think they’re ganging up on him,” he said. “I really do. I think this is a guy that a tried to do everything the right way. His management team hired the security detail.”

Briskman added, “Mr. Jones’ safety was at everybody’s forefront concern. And they tried to do this in a way where this would be outside the bounds of anything questionable. And it hasn’t worked out that way.”

Brazy was busted for felony gun possession less than a week after he avoided prosecution for indecent exposure. Last November, Brazy was arrested for indecent exposure stemming from a 2021 incident in jail.

The rapper was accused of exposing himself to a corrections officer while he was in custody. The alleged victim did not want the case to move forward, so the charge was dropped.

Eminem Flames Benzino On “Doomsday Pt. 2” Diss Track—Gets Response

Eminem dissed his old foe Benzino on Lyrical Lemonade’s All Is Yellow album, which dropped on Friday (January 26). Slim Shady reignited their beef on a track titled “Doomsday Pt. 2.”

“What is the opposite of Benzino? A giraffe/Go at his neck, how the f### is that?/How can I go at something he doesn’t have/Arms so short he can’t even touch his hands/When they’re above his head doing jumping jacks/Sorry, I don’t mean to upset you Ben/When I talk about all the debt you in/I hear that you been creeping on the low/In them cheap hotels that they catch you in,” Eminem rapped.

The verse included a reference to Benzino’s daughter Coi Leray. Eminem hinted at Benzino ruining any chance of Em collaborating with Leray.

“Jesus Christ, dog, when you said 210/Never guessed you meant at the Red Roof Inn/In a room with one single bed, two men/Shady, man, you can’t, yes, you can/Well, I guess then I regret to inform you, hate to spoil the day/But this doesn’t bring me no joy to say/Guess that Coi Leray feat’s in the toilet, ay,” Eminem rapped.

Benzino responded to the diss via Instagram. He sent multiple messages to Southpawer, an Eminem fan page.

“Man c’mon, people are out here starving and this what he on?” Benzino wrote. “That nursery rhyme bs??? He can’t even come out side on his own. Nah bro sorry. That ain’t it. People in Detroit are f##### up. He got millions. Doing absolutely nothing.”

He continued, “Why won’t he fight me? Boxing. I’ll beat the link off him. He can’t even go across the street his entire life without security. I’m too old for this rap … Bro he’s too old and nobody cares. C’mon man grow up.”

Leray reacted to Eminem name-dropping her on X (formerly known as Twitter). She criticized rap beef and brushed off the track.

“Rap beef is so washed and tired,” she wrote. “Exhausting. Embarrassing. Just f###### over all corny as f###. I got no issues with no one. I’m so locked in on my grown and sexy vibes… if anybody don’t like me, that’s something they gotta take on with them selves.”

Benny The Butcher Shouts Out MSNBC’s Ari Melber—Rap’s Favorite Anchor

Benny The Butcher and Jadakiss teamed up for a new single called “Pillow Talk & Slander” featuring Babyface Ray. Taken from Benny’s Def Jam debut Everybody Can’t Go, the track comes with a shoutout for MSNBC anchor Ari Melber, Hip-Hop’s chosen one. While Melber was flattered by the mention, it wasn’t the first time. Dave East also mentioned Melber in November 2022 on the track “Eyes Can See.”

By now, Melber has grown accustom to being embraced by the rap community—and “Pillow Talk & Slander” is no exception. In a clip shared with AllHipHop, MSNBC producers highlight the line: “They know my body/I’m on MSNBC talking politics with Ari.” They also include a clip of Benny’s appearance on The Beat with Ari Melber.

“Benny and Jadakiss are as real, independent and dope as MCs get, so this shoutout means a ton,” Melber tells AllHipHop. “Benny has said it don’t always feel as good as it looks — but this did! Bananas. And real Hip-Hop has always been about truth. Same for real journalism, so there can be a mutual respect there.”

Melber has fully ingrained himself in Hip-Hop culture. In 2022, JAY-Z turned Melber’s 11-minute dissection of the “GOD DID” verse into an official track on TIDAL called “HOV DID.” In the original clip, Melber explored how JAY-Z’s verse encapsulated America’s failed drug war. He highlighted several portions of Hov’s lyrics, exploring everything from the legalization of marijuana to Roc Nation’s Emory Jones serving 10 years for drug dealing.

“Those lines quickly go from prohibition to a war on street drugs associated with minorities … to fentanyl, a huge driver of drug problems and deaths, which politicians do not treat criminally the same way they attack the drugs that Jay or others once sold,” Melber said. “I can tell you corporations have made over $10 billion selling addictive painkillers legally, so that’s a contrast.”

Melber concluded his breakdown with a callback to the Louis Farrakhan interview. He mentioned a straightforward reading of JAY-Z’s bars before pointing out his interpretation regarding the hypocrisy of the war on drugs.

“Decades in, this billionaire entrepreneur with proven success – measurable success – in music, media, sports, business, law and politics still finds he must explain basic facts about American corruption and racism to elite and white society,” he said said. “And many leaders and people still don’t see or refuse to face it. That kind of entitled ignorance, which can cause real damage to real people’s lives, well that might raise your ire. It might get your passion talking.”

Something tells us Benny The Butcher’s mention won’t be the last time we hear about Ari Melber in a song. Check out “Pillow Talk & Slander” below.

Nicki Minaj & Megan Thee Stallion Are Throwing Low Blow After Low Blow

Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion are back at it, and their fans are tossing gas on the fire. It’s getting intense. It all started last Friday (January 19) when Megan dropped “Hiss,” where she’s clearly clapping back at her critics. Megan went hard at her ex-man Pardison Fontaine but cast some serious shade at Nicki Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty.

The verse about “Megan’s Law” is a low blow (unless you are a fan of hers). Honestly, it’s some next-level wordplay, a proverbial bar.  “These h##s don’t be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan’s Law/I don’t really know what the problem is, but I guarantee y’all don’t want me to start/B####, you a p#$$y!!!” Basically she’s referencing the law about publicizing registered sex offenders, and the internet is reading it as a direct strike at Nicki’s man. There’s even a mysterious R. Kelly mention and people that know feel it’s a jab at Ms. Minaj.

Now, we know Nicki wasn’t just gonna sit there and take it. She clapped back hard with a preview of a new diss song. It says, “Bad b#tch she like 6 foot, I call her bigfoot/The b#### fell off, I said get up on your good foot.” Then Nicki struck with a bunch of horse memes and foot mockery. All of a sudden, the internet’s on fire right now with the hashtag #Bigfoot thanks to Nicki’s jabs at Megan’s feet. This won’t end soon, but I’m glad to hear them battling on wax.

It ain’t “The Takeover” or “Ether,” but I appreciate the energy. Let wait and hear what Nicki has for us. Maybe Petty will bust a rap. LOL!

Here’s some of the gas I mentioned in the beginning.

Charlamagne Tha God & DJ Envy Duck Questions About Jess Hilarious Joining “Breakfast Club”

Will Jess Hilarious become the official third host of The Breakfast Club? At one point, online speculation suggested the comedian would join DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God on the iHeartMedia-backed show.

However, there could be conflict brewing between Jess Hilarious and The Breakfast Club team. Former NFL players Brandon Marshall and Cam Newton appeared on the program this week, and the topic of Jess With The Mess came up.

“What happened?” Cam Newton asked DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God. “Before we get out of here, the people… I want to know… What happened with Jess Hilarious on The Breakfast Club?”

Both DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God ignored Cam Newton’s question about Jess Hilarious, and they attempted to end the interview. Earlier this month, Charlamagne expressed being upset that a permanent third host had not been hired.

“We said we were gonna start 2024 off with a new host and that hasn’t happened yet,” Charlamagne Tha God told TMZ. The Radio Hall of Fame inductee also stated, “I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know. But I’m not happy. We’ll find out soon enough though.”

Cam Newton’s line of questioning on The Breakfast Club came after Jess Hilarious blasted Charlamagne and Envy on her Instagram Story. On Tuesday (January 23), the Baltimore-bred internet personality called out the Power 105.1 stars for comparing SZA to Mary J. Blige.

Meek Mill Claims He Made $100M In His Life

Meek Mill once again has social media reacting to one of his posts. On Wednesday (January 24), the Philadelphia-bred rapper insisted his career earnings topped nine figures, stirring up a conversation online.

“Play dumb to dumb people… and act smart around smart people!” Meek Mill tweeted. A Twitter (X) user quote-tweeted the rapper and added, “Don’t listen to this n#### [man facepalming emoji]. Be yourself and get a better circle so you won’t be around some dumb n####.”

In response, Meek wrote, “I made over [$100 million] in my life… I feed my community my family and change laws that send black and brown men to prison systematically… and I [have] been on a 10-year success rate of the 1% of black men… why should they listen to you lol.”

Meek Mill first broke out as a recording artist with the Rick Ross-assisted singles “Tupac Back” and “Ima Boss” in 2011. He went on to earn multiple platinum plaques for tracks such as “R.I.C.O.” and “Going Bad” featuring Drake.

The studio albums Dreams Worth More Than Money from 2015 and Championships from 2018 topped the Billboard 200 chart. Meek also made his way into the film industry as an actor in HBO Max’s Charm City Kings drama.

As a founding partner of REFORM Alliance, Meek Mill played a role in passing criminal justice reform laws in several states, including Michigan and California. Last December, the 36-year-old Hip-Hop star got emotional during a probation reform bill signing ceremony in Pennsylvania.
