Soulja Boy Apologizes To J. Cole After Nicki Minaj Intervenes

A conversation with Nicki Minaj stopped Soulja Boy from attacking J. Cole on social media. Soulja Boy issued an apology less than an hour after harshly criticizing the Dreamville co-founder on Monday (November 6).

“Nicki just told me I took what he said wrong,” the outspoken rapper wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter). “And that he was showing love. So I’m gonna let it go. My bad y’all I really thought dude was hating on me.”

He added, “My bad dawg. @JColeNC sorry for the confusion. keep doing your s### we from two different worlds. I stand on what I stand on, it’s hard coming from where I did man. I dealt with a lot of hate my whole career so it was just messed to think it would come from you.”

Soulja Boy was upset over comments made by J. Cole on Lil Yachty’s A Safe Place Podcast. The “Crank That” creator mistakenly thought J. Cole dissed him. In actuality, J. Cole recalled how he was initially resistant to artists such as Soulja Boy before developing an appreciation for them. Soulja Boy apparently missed the full context of the story and assumed he got insulted, resulting in a multi-day tirade on social media.

“You a b#### @JColeNC f### you and ya fans,” he wrote on Monday. “N##### will slap the s### out you, f### your opinion dirty stank dreads having ass b#### @JColeNC. P#### n#### I wrote and produced a #1 record at 17 in 2006 drake just gave you your first #1 this year sit the f### down n#### u not all that @JColeNC u don’t got a #1 solo record I do.”

He continued, “F### clout. F### fame. F### streams. Don’t want me replying to s### don’t speak on me @JColeNC you a b#### and it’s stamped keep my name out your mouth. I’m not one of them. I don’t care what you was trying to say.”

Soulja Boy realized his anger was misguided thanks to his chat with Nicki Minaj. The two talked on Instagram Live, clearing up his confusion over J. Cole’s remarks.

Travis Scott Faces More Legal Trouble With Another Astroworld Tragedy Lawsuit

A company joined the various families and victims suing Travis Scott over the 2021 Astroworld tragedy. According to The Blast, Ceremony of Roses filed a lawsuit against the rapper for the “substantial financial harm” it allegedly suffered from the infamous festival.

Ceremony of Roses claimed it sustained a significant loss from its investment in the festival. The company provided carnival games and amusements for the event, which ended in chaos when a crowd crush left 10 people dead and hundreds injured. Ceremony of Roses blamed Travis Scott for the event’s lack of safety, leaving the company with no way to recoup $700,000 in out-of-pocket expenses.

“At the very minimum, Defendants owed COR a duty to exercise ordinary care in maintaining a safe and secure environment for COR’s business activities and Festival attendees,” the lawsuit argued. “Defendants negligently and willfully breached this duty in numerous respects.”

Live Nation was also named as a defendant in the lawsuit. Ceremony of Roses sought an undisclosed amount in damages.

Ceremony of Roses’ lawsuit added to the legal woes of Travis Scott, who’s dealing with multiple civil cases stemming from the Astroworld tragedy. He avoided criminal charges in connection to the deadly event when a Texas grand jury declined to indict him in June.

Joe Budden’s Alleged Attacker Claims He Was Trolling After Taxstone Rumor Spreads

The man who took credit for punching Joe Budden stirred up the rumor mill by suggesting Taxstone played a role in the attack. Instagram user @jj_selfmade_cpm tried to downplay his insinuations of Taxstone’s involvement after the alleged attacker’s posts caught the attention of social media bloggers and websites on Monday (November 6).

“I was trolling y’all lol,” Joe Budden’s supposed attacker wrote on Instagram Stories. “Free my brothers tho! Now leave me alone.”

He added, “I ain’t talk to no one. Idk where them n****s getting [their] story from! Free my brothers tho.”

The alleged assailant fanned the flames of the Taxstone rumor by reacting to a video posted by Zip With The Trip, who claimed multiple people jumped Budden at a club. The self-professed culprit responded by saying he was Budden’s lone attacker and shouted out to Taxstone, who’s serving a 35-year prison sentence for the infamous 2016 shooting that left Troy Ave’s bodyguard dead.

“I beat on him dolo we ain’t jump him,” the man wrote. “Free Taxstone!”

He also hinted at Taxstone orchestrating the attack on Budden. The alleged attacker referenced past comments by Budden, who called Taxstone a “worker.”

“When a WORKER could get a BOSS touch that’s tough!” the man wrote in an Instagram post. “#FreeMyBrothers.”

Several social media accounts connected the dots and assumed the man was saying he attacked Budden on Taxstone’s behalf. The alleged attacker attempted to dispel the rumor after seeing it gain traction online.

E.P. the Dreamer: An Independent Force in the Music Industry

In a world where the music industry constantly evolves, independent artists carve their own path to bring unique sounds to the ears of listeners. Among such artists is Los Angeles native, E.P. the Dreamer, who under the umbrella of his own label, Digital Metronome Entertainment LLC, has been crafting a distinctive blend of experimental and commercial hip-hop. With a Spotify presence, this artist’s work is a click away for anyone seeking a fresh yet rooted hip-hop sound.

E.P. the Dreamer isn’t just a rapper but a fully-fledged professional audio engineer, songwriter, and producer. His ability to create music from scratch, record his own vocals, and master tracks to a commercial level sets him apart in a crowded scene. This multi-faceted approach to music production, paired with his lyrical prowess, embodies the modern hip-hop artist’s spirit.

His music journey reflects a perpetual grind and an undying passion for the art. E.P. recounts the early days when rhythm eluded him, and production skills were a distant dream. His narrative is a testament to what relentless effort can achieve, metamorphosing from a budding artist to an adept music creator. The journey saw him through the halls of SAE Institute for audio engineering, which he credits for broadening his horizons in the music industry.

Drawing inspiration from hip-hop moguls like Eminem, J. Cole, and Kendrick Lamar, E.P. the Dreamer’s sound resonates with the giants’ influence yet carves out its own niche. His recent single “Empty” exemplifies this, delving into the emotional turbulence of depression, a topic that holds a universal resonance.

In the spirit of collaboration, a cornerstone in hip-hop culture, E.P. has joined forces with his long-time friend and producer Willis on two new projects set to release this fall. This collaborative venture highlights the communal essence of hip-hop, where artists come together to brew something exhilarating.

E.P. the Dreamer’s future shines bright with plans of touring the world, selling out shows, and influencing positive change in the music industry, especially for the unrecognized heroes – the producers and audio engineers. His upcoming showcases this summer and festivals are the stepping stones toward a grander vision, where his music, a blend of lyrical wisdom and catchy beats, reverberates through arenas filled with fans from across the globe.

His message to the listeners is clear – be inspired, feel powerful, and chase your dreams relentlessly. As E.P. puts it, the essence of living is to harbor no regrets and go after one’s biggest goals. This ethos is palpably felt in his music, urging listeners to seize the reins of their destiny.

As the autumn leaves herald the arrival of new music from E.P. the Dreamer, the anticipation builds up among the hip-hop community. The upcoming releases and show dates, to be announced on his social media and Alien Circle Community, promise a continued journey of inspiring beats, compelling narratives, and a closer connection between the artist and his audience. Through his music, E.P. the Dreamer extends an invitation to be part of a larger narrative, one where dreams are the seeds to a reality full of musical resonance.

What Else Does Joe Budden Have To Say After Being Attacked Over The Weekend?

Budden hopped on Instagram Live with co-host QueenzFlip after he was reportedly attacked in a NYC strip club over the weekend.

This is QueenzFlip – LOL!

He elaborated on what happened to him. He told us the basics, but he stressed that there was MORE. He would not allow IG to make that money, because it will only be see on the Monday episode of The Joe Budden Podcast.

He said, “Never believe the internet rumor. Ni##a popped back and socked me one time. But that’s all you gon’ get. I keep telling y’all, I eat a punch well. Now we gotta go. Now we gotta get it on. I don’t like this internet stuff. Don’t believe none of that.”

Joe looked fine, but does this this mean he is. There was no swollen eye, but is he ok? I don’t know how I would feel going out and multiple people either pull up or attack me. He seems ok, and I know he is used to this sort of thing career-wise.

As we reported, Joe Budden WAS attacked.

The rapper-turned-podcaster dispelled rumors of a New York City attack over the weekend, refuting speculation that he was involved in an altercation tied to his commentary on DJ Envy and Cesar Piña’s alleged “Ponzi scheme” real estate business.

On Sunday, one of Budden’s associates, Tony “The Closer” Robinson (who has been a thorn in the side of Envy and Peña), took to Twitter to address these rumors. He basically told everyone that Joey was unharmed. He said people were too quick to jump to conclusions regarding any alleged altercation. The Closer stated, “I just heard from Joe Budden, he’s fine, and some of y’all are overly excited to claim he was jumped. Celebrating altercations is not something we should endorse. There wasn’t a scratch on his face, and although he had a disagreement with someone, it certainly didn’t look like a situation where he was jumped.”

In another tweet, Mr. Closer clarified that the incident was unrelated to Cesar and his associates, emphasizing the importance of not believing internet rumors. Remember, Peña’s brother pulled up on Joe, but it was so weak that he got clowned over it.

Budden himself acknowledged the incident but downplayed it, but admitted that he had been punched during a night out in New York City. “Someone threw a punch at me, but that’s as far as it got. I’ve said it before; I can take a hit. Now, we can move on from this. I’m not a fan of this internet drama. Don’t put too much stock in these stories,” he said. Not a fan of “internet drama?” What Joe Budden is this!?

Then he poked the bear, stating his attackers needed to “send another one.”

Ray J & Brandy’s Mother Reportedly Rushed To The Hospital

The mother of William Ray Norwood Jr. and Brandy Norwood recently needed medical attention, according to a new report. Sonja Norwood is said to be recovering from the ordeal.

An article on TMZ claimed Sonja Norwood had an emergency situation. Apparently, she felt light-headed and experienced sudden rapid breathing after receiving an in-home IV treatment.

That reaction reportedly led Ray J and other family members to call an ambulance. Sonja Norwood went to the hospital to get checked out and medical officials apparently deemed she was “okay” following the scare.

Overnight, Brandy posted a photo with her younger brother, Ray J, on her Instagram Story. The award-winning songstress simply captioned the image, “Adore you @rayj.” Hours earlier, Ray used his Instagram Story to promote his Raycon wireless audio brand.

Last year, Brandy also found herself in the hospital. She eventually informed her social media followers that doctors ordered her to get more rest due to dehydration and low amounts of nutrition. Some outlets claimed the “Have You Ever?” vocalist suffered a seizure.

In addition to being part of the entertainment world since the 1990s for their music, both Brandy and Ray J have appeared on several television programs. The Norwood family also starred in the Brandy & Ray J: A Family Business reality show.

Rick Ross Mocks Dee-1 After Recent Criticism: Go Viral Feeding Them Kids In Your Hood”

Rick Ross has fired back after Dee-1 recently criticized him for glorifying violence in his lyrics.

The New Orleans native recently called out The MMG honcho alongside Meek Mill and Jim Jones during a recent appearance on Sway In The Morning

However, Rick Ross claims Dee-1 is only talking about them in the hopes of going viral. According to Rozay, Dee-1 needs to “shut up” and go viral by giving back to the community.

He took to his Instagram Story over the weekend to address the criticism while mocking Dee-1.

“Lil’ man, whoever you is, until you feed the kids where you’re from for 20 years straight, don’t question Rozay,” he said after mimicking him. “Wait until you buy 10,000 bikes.”

He continued, “You heard me, lil’ man? Get that basket off your head, so you could think clear, lil’ man. You going viral for speaking on n##### names. Not ‘cause of your talent, not ‘cause of your gift. Since you wanna go viral, I’m gonna show you how to go viral, lil’ man.”

Rick Ross said Dee-1 should be going viral for “feeding them kids in your hood,” and “giving them bikes away,” before addressing his remarks to the Dipset member. “Don’t be sayin’, ‘Jim Jones,’” he added. “Jim Jones just gave away g###### six figures worth of clothes in his hood. And you a n#### who talkin’.”

Dee-1 said although he loves both Rick Ross and Meek Mill, he believes they need to do better.

“Oh, you the face of prison reform?” he questioned on Sway In The Morning. “Or are you sitting here on your new song with Ross talking about getting somebody murked, and shot at the red light? Which one is it, bro?”

Meek Mill also responded to Dee-1 last week. “I was rapping this way when I became the face of reform,” he said before adding, “That’s how I got there, y’all forgot that fast.”

He continued, “But that’s all he’s going to get. I keep telling y’all I eat a punch well. Now we got to get it on. Now we got to go.”

According to Joe Budden, his assailant was saved by a slippery floor. Both men lost their footing during the struggle, but Budden said he got to his feet first.

“Wet floor saved that boy life,” he added. “He wasn’t big enough or strong enough. Can’t send no n#### like that at me. It’s gonna end bad. When the floor is wet, it’s about who gets up first.”

Ultimately, Budden brushed off the incident but said he came out on top. “They should have jumped me,” he said.  Check out the clip below.

“I remember Mary coming up to me, and she was like, ‘You’re a superstar,'” Missy told the publication. “And at the time, I didn’t pay it no mind because I really didn’t think that at all. But she kept telling me that, and me and her became really close.”

Missy and Mary have collaborated on multiple hits, including 2001’s “”Never Been” and 2005’s “My Struggles.”

“She was the first one,” Missy said of her collaborator and friend. “Back then, you didn’t even want to play with Mary! And I personally didn’t think that I fit the mold because, you know, there was a certain look back then.”

Megan Thee Stallion’s latest video, “Cobra,” has made a splash on YouTube, quickly becoming the most-watched debut by a solo female rap artist within 24 hours. Released on November 3, the video racked up more than 2.15 million views by the following day, outpacing hits by artists like Doja Cat and Ice Spice. As of Sunday (November 5), the video was approaching four million views.

The “Cobra” video has sparked widespread discussion, with fans dissecting its lyrics and speculating about potential references to Megan’s personal life and relationships, specifically her involvement with Pardison Fontaine. People immediately assumed he was unfaithful due to Megan’s lines on “Cobra.”

“Pulled up/caught him cheating,” she raps. “Getting his dick sucked/In the same spot I’m sleeping.”

The song has quickly trended on social media and eventually elicited a response from Pardison Fontaine, who posted images of well-known cheaters, Tristan Thompson, and rapper Future.

“Cobra” isn’t just a hit for its views but also for what it represents in Megan Thee Stallion’s evolving career as an artist and entrepreneur. The video’s release marks Megan’s first project under her own label, Hot Girl Productions, following her split from 1501 Certified Entertainment. The move to independence is underscored by her direct investment in her music, with plans to self-fund her future projects.
