6ix9ine Arrest Footage Shows Crowd Cheering As Rapper Hauled Off In Handcuffs

A video has surfaced of 6ix9ine being hauled off by cops after the rapper was reportedly arrested for assault in the Dominican Republic. 

Local attorney Felix Portes took to Instagram Saturday (October 14), revealing that Dominican authorities are investigating the rainbow-haired rapper for a vicious attack. 6ix9ine was allegedly in an altercation with two local producers. The unidentified victims were treated in hospital for their injuries. 

Footage surfaced online on Sunday (October 16) showing law enforcement marching a handcuffed 6ix9ine out of a hotel.  Locals swarmed the building with their camera phones out, cheering as the controversial artist emerged from inside the building. Check out the video below.

According to Portes, 6ix9ine was attempting to leave the country via a private jet when he was detained. Authorities issued a warrant against the rapper for “blows and injuries, and threats.” 

The “Bori” rapper has had numerous run-ins with the law during his rap career. He cooperated with the authorities after being arrested in 2018 on RICO charges over his association with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. He testified against the notorious street gang in court, leading to the conviction of several gang members. 

In August, he was taken to Palm Beach County Jail for failing to appear in court for three traffic tickets. However, he was released from custody roughly a few hours later, after posting a $2,000 bond. 

Meanwhile, back in March, 6ix9ine was beaten up by members of the Latin Kings at an LA Fitness in Southern Florida.

Nelly rendered Ashanti speechless after icing the singer out on her birthday. 

The couple celebrated Ashanti’s 43rd birthday over the weekend after recently confirming their rekindled romance following months of social media speculation. The rapper showered the birthday girl in diamonds, leaving her barely able to speak. 

Footage shared online shows Nelly presenting Ashanti with a chain and watch covered in diamonds. Check out the video below.  

In another video, Ashanti proudly flexes her icy birthday gifts while Nelly serenades her. The couple was joined by a group of friends for a karaoke session on a party bus. Ashanti played hype man to Nelly as he crooned through some old-school slow jams.  

The songstress was left with an aching jaw after laughing so much as her man crooned his way through Jodeci’s “Freek’n You.” At one point in the video, Nelly and Ashanti held hands as they sang together before the rapper launched into another classic R&B song.

Last month, Nelly confirmed he was back with Ashanti during an appearance on Boss Moves with Rasheeda.

A recent revelation from Jada Pinkett Smith has Jim Jones asking questions.  

The “Set If Off” actress is opening up about her past ahead of her candid upcoming memoir Worthy, making some startling admissions in a series of viral interviews. Smith’s revelations have been the talk of social media, with everybody chiming in, including Jim Jones. 

The Dipset rapper took to Instagram Live over the weekend, calling on one of her old customers to speak out.  

“If you sold crack in the nineties, nine times out of ten, there’s still some crackheads in the neighbourhood that can vouch that you were selling that butter,” Jim Jones said. “I don’t know where Jada grew up at, but we need to go check and see if they got some fiends that can verify, validify that she was selling that she had that butter on the block for sale.”  Check out his comments below.

During a recent interview with PEOPLE, Jada Pinkett Smith spoke openly about her drug-dealing past as a teen growing up in Baltimore. 

“I knew that anything that I needed was something I needed to provide for,” she explained. “I decided to sell drugs.”  

“Growing up, the drug dealers were the ones that had affluence,” Smith added. “That’s what we readily saw as success. And so for me, considering my circumstances at the time, my mother was not doing well. She was a high-functioning heroin addict. We didn’t have the things that we should have. The home we lived in was not taken care of.” 

It wasn’t just Jim Jones who had something to say about Jada Pinkett Smith dealing drugs.

Drake’s Son Adonis Performs “My Man Freestyle” At His Sixth Birthday Party

Drake’s son Adonis is following in his father’s footsteps, debuting a new freestyle at his sixth birthday party. 

His famous dad posted the track on Instagram to celebrate his little boy turning six years old. The video shows Adonis having fun with his friends on the basketball court and showing off his skills while Drake makes a cameo alongside his son.  

On the track, Adonis describes an average game day: “I was waiting for this moment to arrive/ I was driving in the car and I smash my car/ I was playing in on my iPad and I broke my iPad/ I’m going to my house, seeing my dad/ I am saying hi to my dad and I have to go change/ I’m playing basketball.”

The budding rapper has already performed the song in front of a live audience. Drake shared a video of Adonis onstage with his friends, showcasing his new freestyle in front of a neon sign that read “BIG 6’ERRRRRR.” 

Adonis recently appeared in his dad’s “8AM in Charlotte” music video, which saw the little boy describe his vision behind the image Drake used on the For All the Dogs cover.

Jimmy Iovine has shared his observations on the state of music today.

During a recent interview with Consequence of Sound, the Interscope Records founder claimed that with the advent of streaming, AI, social media, and other technological shifts, “fame has replaced great” in music.

“Artists are making so much money in so many different places, which is fantastic, but after they have a hit record, they can earn a lot of money on Instagram and all this stuff,” JImmy Iovine explained. “I feel that a lot of people, a lot of artists, not all, but a lot of artists are taking their foot off the gas in the record making category. And that’s affecting the quality of the work. And I think you’re seeing that in a lot of different genres right now.”

The entrepreneur also shared that too many artists in the current landscape were “making records for TikTok.”

“They used to make records for radio, but now it’s TikTok. That’s why all these pop records sound exactly the same,” Jimmy told the publication. “So if you’re making records like that, making records with this formula, then you’re going to start seeing big hits written and recorded with AI.”

The music mogul also named some of his favourite contemporary artists, including Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, and Baltimore rock band Turnstile.

“They caught my attention,” he applauded the band. “I like what they’re doing. I think they got the right spirit and the right attitude.”

The list is a veritable who’s who of the music industry, with Atlanta rappers T.Il and Killer Mike making the cut. The Black Music Action Coalition has introduced the Restoring Artistic Protection Act (RAP Act) to Congress to protect artists from the misuse of their lyrics in court. This bill, if passed, would limit the admissibility of an artist’s creative expression against them in court. 

California has already taken a step in this direction by passing a similar law. The law was recently tested in the case of the San Bernardino man, Travon Venable Sr., who was convicted of murder five years ago because the prosecution used his rap videos as evidence against him. 

An appeals court ruled that the video should not have been admitted as evidence during the trial, suggesting that racial stereotypes and bias were introduced into the criminal proceedings by allowing rap lyrics into evidence.

Travis Scott’s Second North Carolina Show “Postponed” Without Explanation

Travis Scott is currently on his Utopia-Circus Maximus Tour in support of his chart-topping album, UTOPIA. But according to TMZ, another date has been postponed, making it the third time the rapper has had to put the breaks on a performance. Scott was scheduled to take the stage for a second consecutive night at PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he’d just played the night before.

But just hours before Scott was to head to the PNC Arena, organizers posted a statement to the venue’s doors that read: “Tonight’s Travis Scott concert at PNC Arena has been postponed. Fans are encouraged to hold on to their tickets as they will be honored for the TBD new date. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you!”

WRAL News spoke to several ticket holders, who said they were given no explanation for the postponement from the third party vendor, venue or Travis Scott. Live Nation added the second Raleigh show in response to an “popular demand” after he sold out the first date.

Scott’s tour has reportedly been struggling, leaving some concert promoters scrambling to figure out how to make their money back. In some places, fans can buy tickets for as low as $7. Popular ticket-selling platforms such as SeatGeek, StubHub, TickPick and Vivid Seats were selling tickets from $10 to $18, and one person was able to find a pair going for about $110 on Ticketmaster.

Scott has had a tumultuous couple of years. In November 2021, his Astroworld Festival ended in tragedy after 10 people ultimately lost their lives due to a crowd surge. Scott laid low for months following the incident. But, as they say, the show must go on. Scott returned with UTOPIA in July and it became one of the first albums in 2023 to land at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Last week, Pinkett Smith sat down with the TODAY Show for an extensive interview in which she admitted she and Will Smith have been separated since 2016, something she discussed in her book. Naturally, that sent social media into a frenzy and people questioned how she could continue to publicly humiliate her husband.

During an interview with PEOPLE magazine, Pinkett Smith again talked about her “friendship” with Tupac Shakur then claimed he once proposed to her while he was behind bars at Rikers Island. Her apparent obsession with the late rapper has been internet fodder for years, and her recent sit-downs have done nothing to squash the speculation that she’s been in love with Shakur the entire time she’s been married to Smith.

Mo3 Estate Wins Restraining Order Over Fear Producer Will Destroy Contested Vocal Tracks

The estate of Mo3 has secured a temporary restraining order against recording engineer Ray Gene Bollin, who is accused of trying to capitalize on the late rapper’s unreleased vocal tracks he refuses to hand over. 

Mo3 was fatally shot in broad daylight on the R.L. Thornton Freeway in Dallas, Texas, in November of 2022. The subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Kewon Dontrell White, who was charged with the rapper’s murder.

Bollin, the individual in the spotlight of this controversy, is the proprietor of the North Texas-based Absolut Production Recording Studios. Mo3 frequently visited this studio, where he recorded most of his vocals.  

The rapper’s estate says that Bollin’s participation was strictly technical, limited to tasks such as setting up microphones and initiating recordings, all under Mo3’s direct supervision.

A month before his tragic passing in October 2020, Mo3 directed his manager to collect all his musical files from Absolut Studios. 

Bollin had initially agreed. After Mo3’s death, the responsibility to retrieve these files was transferred to a court-appointed administrator, Daniel L. White, Esq, who was unable to get the tracks because Bollin claimed ownership of the unreleased vocals. 

He also demanded over $600,000 in “licensing fees” for previously released tracks, a 25% royalty interest, among other compensations.

The court’s decision to grant the restraining order is rooted in the evidence presented by MO3’s estate, highlighting the significant commercial value of Noble’s name, voice, and likeness. 

The order mandates the immediate turnover of all copies or phonorecords of the vocal tracks and related materials to MO3’s estate. It is a decisive move to prevent these works’ potential exploitation or destruction, ensuring they remain intact for possible future release.

Ice Spice Makes “Saturday Night Live” Debut With An Assist From Taylor Swift

Ice Spice made her Saturday Night Live debut on Saturday (October 14), performing the tracks “In Ha Mood” and “Pretty Girl.” The 10K Projects/Capitol Records breakout star was first introduced by SNL staple Pete Davidson, but for the second song, fans were met with a surprise appearance from Taylor Swift.

The pop megastar, who’s apparently besties with Swift now, was on deck for Travis Kelce‘s cameo in a skit about the excessive NFL coverage Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs have been getting since they started dating. Swift said simply, “Once again, Ice Spice” as the crowd cheered her on. Spice was joined by Rema, who also appears on the original song.

Ice Spice and Taylor Swift were filmed together at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. The two sat side-by-side and laughed throughout the evening. Swift walked away with nine awards but seemed to get more attention for dancing to various performers, including Demi Lovato, Lil Wayne and Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s live debut of “Bongos.”

In an email to Variety, Swift talked about why she’s so impressed with Ice Spice. Tupac Shakur’s Brother Says Diddy Needs To Be Investigated For 1996 Murder

With the recent arrest of Duane “Keefe D” Davis, there’s been a lot of chatter surrounding Tupac Shakur’s 1996 murder. In a new interview with The Art of Dialogue, Shakur’s brother, Mopreme, concluded the Las Vegas Police Department needs to talk to Diddy about his possible involvement in the case.

“That’s why I’m curious to see how they plan to deal with the case. He, in his own admissions, mentioned other people. Are they going to say what happened to these people? Yes, Puffy being one of them. I don’t know where that’s going to lead, but I do believe they were accomplices, and I don’t think all of them have been looked at. So, because of the years, it’s a lot of years. Amongst family, we talk. We want to figure it out, too. We’re thinking certain things too. We’re waiting to see if we can trust this process.”

He continued, “They brought the indictment because of his own words. Well in his own words, he said a whole bunch of s###. How much you going to hold him accountable for? […] ‘Pac’s fans are his family. They run deep and they don’t usually bulls###. They sincerely want to see what happened.”

When the interviewer mentioned Keffe D once told him Diddy was scared of Tupac Shakur and Suge Knight, Mopreme listened intently and replied it was “very interesting.” He added, “I wasn’t there. I’ve heard these stories before and if it’s true, what’s going to happen? On your own platform, he said this on your platform that he put up $1 million to get ‘Pac hit. OK. And then ‘Pac got hit. So hey man, I watch Law & Order. I ain’t no cop. I ain’t no lawyer. They way this is going, it looks like a certain type of thing is going down. We gonna see.”

Following Keefe D’s arrest, 50 Cent trolled Diddy, advising the Bad Boy Records mogul to seek legal counsel. The G-Unit leader suggested Diddy was the mastermind behind the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur in an Instagram post, writing, “Damn so pac got lined by brother love. LOL Time to Lawyer up, s### might get sticky.”

Keefe D has been charged with one count of murder with the use of a deadly weapon and with the intent to promote, further or assist a criminal gang. He’s expected back in court on Wednesday (October 19).

(UPDATE) Drake’s Losing Streak Actually Didn’t End; Takes $850K Loss Over Logan Paul

Drake has been making headlines with his extravagant sports betting habits. Recently, he placed a staggering bet of $850,000 on the highly anticipated boxing match between YouTube sensation Logan Paul and MMA fighter Dillon Danis. This wasn’t just any ordinary bet; Drake was banking on Logan Paul to win by knockout. What was the potential payout for this bet? 

A cool $1.35 million.

However, the outcome of the fight took many by surprise. Danis was disqualified due to an unexpected move. Unlike traditional boxing techniques, Danis executed an unauthorized guillotine choke, a maneuver typically seen in mixed martial arts (MMA), causing chaos in the ring.

Such actions, which deviate from the established norms of boxing and could compromise the safety of participants, led to his disqualification. 

This twist meant that Drake lost his $850,000 wager, shocking many fans.

Logan had strong words after the bizarre ending: “He’s supposed to be good at jiu-jitsu. What happened? [I] stopped the takedown, tried that, [he] tried to do a guillotine. I’m sorry it ended that way. Dillion Danis truly is a coward, just a dirty, dirty human being.”  

The fight had its share of drama, escalating tensions even before the match. Just days before the fight, during a pre-fight press conference, Danis threw a microphone at Logan Paul’s face.

This isn’t the first time Drake’s betting habits have made news. 

Known for his lavish wagers, he has often showcased his bets on his Instagram, revealing the high stakes he plays with. However, his betting history has been a mix of wins and losses, leading to the fabled “Drake Curse.”

The popular superstition insists that teams or athletes who receive Drake’s public endorsement or closely interact with him tend to face unexpected setbacks or defeats in subsequent games or events. 

This peculiar trend has been observed across various sports, from basketball to MMA, leading to a buzz on social media platforms. Many fans humorously caution sports personalities to steer clear of the rapper if they aim for victory in their upcoming matches.

While the “Drake Curse” in sports betting has become a popular narrative, his casino ventures paint a different picture. According to Casino.com, Drake ended 2022 with $29.61 million in losses and more than $46.81 million in profits.

While some might see the Logan Paul bet as a significant loss, for Drake, it’s just another day in his world of high-stakes betting.

Cher Fell In Love With Alexander A.E. Edwards Via Text

Cher has shared details about her romance with Alexander “A.E.” Edwards.

During an interview with People, the iconic singer, 77, gushed about her romance with the 37-year-old music executive.

When addressing the fact that their relationship has been fuelling headlines over the last few months, Cher said that she’s “not surprised.”

“Alexander’s got diamond teeth, tattoos, white hair, and he’s way younger. He’s a beautiful man,” Cher said. “Also, I think it’s fun to be interested in somebody else’s love life!”

The duo first met one year ago “for about 15 minutes” during Paris Fashion Week when a mutual friend gave Alexander Cher’s number.

“It was really shocking because people just don’t give out my number,” Cher stated. “I had been telling all my friends, ‘We’re too old to go out with really younger men, and I will never fall in love on text.’ So I did what I said not to do!”

Cher noted that she broke her rules for her now-boyfriend because he is “just so special.”

“I hate when people say people are special, but lots of people say I’m special, so I can say that he’s special,” she quipped. “No matter what happens, I love being with him. He makes me laugh, and we have fun. What I learned is that it’s never too late. If you wrote out all the statistics, you would go, ‘Well, this is doomed.’ But we’ve been together a year, and if it was just a year, it would’ve been worth it. I’ve had the best time.”

On top of being romantically involved, the duo are also collaborators. Alexander produced Cher’s new track Drop Top Sleigh Ride, which will be a part of her upcoming album, Christmas.

Cher said of her beau, “He’s a great producer.”

50 Cent Outraged Over Jada Pinkett Smith’s “Worthy” Interviews: “Free Will Smith”

50 Cent apparently doesn’t co-sign Jada Pinkett Smith’s recent rounds of interviews in support of her new memoir, Worthy.

On Sunday (October 15), the rapper/television executive shared an Instagram post that included a photo of Pinkett Smith and the headline: “Jada Pinkett Smith reveals she sold a lot of crack as a teenager.” He wrote in the caption: “Alright enough is an enough FREE WILL SMITH! WTF is going to on.”

Jada Pinkett Smith has made several confessions about her marriage to Will Smith while doing the press rounds. Among the most surprising was the revelation she and the blockbuster movie star have been separated since 2016. While Pinkett Smith confirmed it wasn’t “a divorce on paper,” she explained they are only married to maintain appearances.

“By the time we got to 2016, we were just exhausted with trying,” she said. “I think we were both kind of just still stuck in our fantasy of what we thought the other person should be.” When asked why the couple didn’t publicly announce the news, Pinkett Smith replied they weren’t “ready yet” and “still trying to figure out, between the two of us, how to be in partnership.”

Pinkett Smith also talked about the infamous Oscars slap at the 2022 Academy Awards, saying she was surprised to hear Will Smith call her his “wife” when it was a term that hadn’t used in years. She also talks about it in the book.

“We had been living separate lives and were there as family, not as husband and wife,” she writes. “But when I hear Will yell ‘wife’ in the chaos of the moment, an internal shift of Oh s— . . . I am his wife! happens instantly. I’m aware that I’m at the Oscars in a beautiful but very heavy forest-green dress with a high neck, a zipper bodice, and a train a thousand miles long, and I’ve had to stay seated all evening. But no matter how much growth I’ve recently experienced, my old mechanisms are driving, and my mind is racing with, Oh s###, if I have to fight or run, I’m done! I can’t even get up!”

Elsewhere in her multitude of interviews, Pinkett Smith claimed Tupac Shakur suffered from alopecia and that he once proposed to her while serving time at Rikers Island. She also said Chris Rock hit on her amid Will Smith divorce rumors and called her marriage to Smith a “divine assignment.”

Caitlyn Jenner Knew Nothing About Kim Kardashian’s Explicit Tape With Ray J

Caitlyn Jenner has opened up about her involvement in Kim Kardashian’s sex tape release. While appearing in the Sky docu-series, House of Kardashian, the reality star was asked what she knew about her step-daughter’s infamous 2007 sex tape.

Jenner, 73, recalled her reaction at the time being, “Whatever’s going on, I don’t know what it is and I’m gonna go to the golf course.”

Kardashian began dating singer Ray J before finalizing her divorce with Damon Thomas in 2003. Ray J reportedly created a sex tape featuring himself and Kardashian that year and allegedly leaked it online in 2007.

As a result of the tape, Kardashian was catapulted into the spotlight.

“To be honest with you, I just stayed out of it. Kris never talked to me about it,” Jenner continued of the incident in her interview, referring to her ex-wife and Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner. “I never talked to Kimberly about it. I don’t know what happened, why it happened.”

When asked whether Jenner and Kardashian worked together to release the tape via Ray J, Jenner replied, “I have no idea. I never, ever once had that conversation – or did I want to have that conversation.”
