Juicy J Claims “GMA” Blocked Him From Wearing A Straitjacket On TV

Jordan “Juicy J” Houston III is on a media run to promote his new book Chronicles of the Juice Man: A Memoir. The 48-year-old rapper/producer stopped by Good Morning America this week.

According to Juicy J, Good Morning America prevented him from wearing a straitjacket on the television show. He spoke about the changes to his GMA appearance during an interview with TMZ.

“I’m a mental health advocate. I wear that straitjacket to let people know about mental health awareness. You don’t have to do nothing crazy. Get some help. Call 988, call a friend, call your mom, call somebody. Just don’t hurt yourself,” said Juicy J.

The Three 6 Mafia member also added, “I just did Good Morning America. They didn’t want me to wear the jacket. But it’s all good. It wasn’t no problem. I wasn’t tripping. That’s why I brought other outfits.”

In addition to releasing Chronicles of the Juice Man, Juicy J continues to create his own projects and produce songs for other artists. The Academy Award winner’s The Hustle Continues album came out in November 2020.

Juicy also let loose the Mental Trillness mixtape in March. Over the last year, he worked with Megan Thee Stallion, GloRilla, and Sexyy Red on music, too. The “Stay Fly” hitmaker recently acknowledged other acts reimagining tunes by his legendary group.

“Peace & love to Three 6 Mafia, great to witness our music still going strong like it never [left], people across the world sampling & remaking the songs. We are grateful. Thank you all. #greatestgroupofalltime,” posted Juicy J.

Curren$y’s OG Purp Plug Helped Link Chevy Woods & Wiz Khalifa To Start Taylor Gang

New York’s Grand Marshal of Marijuana—better known as Shiest Bubz—has fearlessly staked his claim as one of the founding connections between Curren$y, Chevy Woods and Wiz Khalifa and the mobilizing of said forces that created the “Taylor Gang.”

During a recent podcast appearance, Shiest Bubz, who’s a well-known cannabis entrepreneur and founder of The Smoker’s Club, spoke about the crossover between the wide worlds of weed and Hip-Hop. Throughout the conversation, Bubz spoke on his relationships with artists such as Method Man and Redman and more specifically, Curren$y and Wiz Khalifa.

“When I first met Spitta right, at that time I had the Purple Sour,” Bubz recalled. “And it was like on camera, me first meeting him. And I was kind of on some like, ‘Yeah Purple Sour,’ and he was like, ‘Oh you the Pumpkin King man h########,’ and it was just like, to go on tour with him—they Louisiana and my mother is from Louisiana so we had a connection on some family vibes some Southern vibes.”

In short, Bubz touched on how his elite strain tastemaking forged new pathways for collaboration between artists such as Curren$y, Wiz Khalifa and Chevy Woods like never before.

“The whole Jet Life, they are like Harlem—New Orleans and Harlem is like a connection to me, I don’t know,” Bubz said. “Spitta and Wiz together it was like, it was dope because I knew Wiz from Pittsburgh on some trapping s###. Taking the piff out there. Chevy was part of a whole different rap group back then he was called Kev The Hustla so I used to be f###ing with them n ####s on some Llama avenue s###, bringing the piff out there—Dipset and all that.”

Bubz continued, remarking on the moment he says tides shifted and Chevy and Wiz joined forces and never looked back. “Real talk, the conversation back then was like, ‘Yo Wiz he’s on some other vibes on the other side of town,’ and I’m like ‘Word, I should link him, like, why y’all don’t f### with him, what are y’all doing?’ and next thing you know it’s Chevy Woods and Wiz Khalifa and I’m like, ‘Yeah!'”

I mean, there literally are videos chronicling smoke sessions between notorious Hip-Hop potheads such as Bubz, Curren$y and Smoke DZA dating back more than a decade, so it’s not hard to believe he may have had some influence on this link initially. Curren$y and Fendi P shared the same manager, Mousa, before coming together and forging the Jet Life label and lifestyle brand, so why wouldn’t Chevy and Wiz share the same weedman before coming together to create bangers?

“Get his a##, get his a##. Put that b###h on his head, put that b###h on his head. F##k him!” someone can be heard yelling as Reese filmed the demeaning act. The unknown man on the street responded, “Don’t do that, man! That ain’t right, man!”

1090 Jake Faces Snitching Accusations: Tables Turned On Blogger Who Exposes Alleged Hip-Hop Rats

A blogger notorious for exposing rapper’s alleged paperwork is responding to accusations that he snitched while in jail.

1090 Jake has posted paperwork on numerous Hip-Hop players, including Boston Richey, Finesse2Tymes and Quality Control CEO Pierre “P” Thomas. However, the blogger is not facing his own snitching allegations.

On Tuesday (September 5), paperwork surfaced of 1090 Jake allegedly snitching on an inmate while he was in jail. Accusers claimed he spoke on another inmate fighting in a hand-written statement. In a hand-written statement

However, the blogger responded, denying the claims he’s a rat during a recent Instagram Live chat with No Jumper podcast’s Riem.

He claims he wrote the statement to deny there was any fight to prevent the inmates from getting beaten up by correctional officers. 1090 Jake also said he broke down the snitching claims in a blog four years ago. Check out the video below.

03 Greedo, who 1090 Jake recently accused of snitching, saw the post and clowned the blogger.

“D###### n####,” he wrote in the No Jumper comment section. “He got a lot to say. He should ghostwrite on my album.”

Back in July, 1090 Jake posted documents, allegedly paperwork of 03 Greedo snitching in his case. However, the recently freed rapper said that he did all of his time in prison on gun and drug charges, proving he didn’t tell. He also questioned the alleged paperwork, pointing out they are a police report and not official court documents.

“So you want me to believe that a n#### that got probation while I got five years, I told on him?” he asked during an Instagram Live session.

“So that’s police report,” he added in an Instagram Story post. “Real or fake that’s not paperwork. U know u done fucced up don’t u.”

Yung Bleu Publicly Apologizes To His Wife For Cheating Scandal

Yung Bleu has been in the news more frequently in recent weeks, facing accusations of cheating on his wife. A TikToker who goes by Tenom exposed Yung Bleu for flying her out to New York for a date. In response, the Love Scars II rapper claimed he never had sex with the woman because of her personal hygiene.

The entire ordeal led to Yung Bleu’s spouse, Tiemeria, suggesting a divorce from the recording artist was imminent. Bleu took to social media to offer Tiemeria a public mea culpa.

“I would like to publicly apologize to my wife,” Bleu posted. “I will never get on the internet and bash you no matter what you say out of hurt. [You’re] such a good woman. Solid. Rare. And I love and appreciate you.”

The 29-year-old entertainer continued, “It’s a lot that this industry [brings]. [It’s] a fast life. And sometimes as men, we fall short of what’s right! But I’ll never be stupid enough to lose what’s best for me!”

“Hope this message reaches you somehow,” he concluded. “Giving everything else to God from here back to the music and enjoying the love of my fans on tour! Family over everything.”

Yung Bleu’s music career has taken a backseat to the drama throughout the month of September, so far. In addition, the “Love in the Way” performer has been clashing online with his former mentor, Boosie Badazz.

Spice Questions Backlash Over Erica Mena Spat: ”It’s Okay To Receive Racism As Long As You’re Angry?”

Spice has opened up about the confrontation that got Erica Mena fired from Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta for calling the Jamaican Dancehall artist a “monkey.”

In a recent episode, the reality TV stars got into it during a verbal spat. Erica Mena flipped a table after Spice claimed that her son does not like his own mother.

“You monkey, you f###### blue monkey!” Mena fired back at the blue-haired musician.

After clips of the on-air altercation surfaced, many called out Erica Mena for using a term rooted in racism, and she was soon fired.

“The Love & Hip Hop franchise has never shied away from hard conversations in our community,” the franchise announced earlier this week.

The statement continued: “Viewers will see the impact of Erica Mena’s remarks play out in the final three episodes of the season. Effective immediately, she will not appear in the next season of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.”

Spice Says Backlash Over Erica Mena Rooted in Colorism

However, Spice also received backlash over the spat for mentioning Erica Mena’s child. She addressed the criticism during an Instagram Live Tuesday evening. During the stream, she questioned whether racism was an acceptable response to being triggered.

“I’m not being ignorant; I’m not playing victim,” Spice began. “I am taking full accountability because you said I experienced the racism because I triggered her. So, is that a new thing now in 2023? It’s okay to receive racism as long as you’re angry? I’m just asking. Feel free to let me know.”

She also pointed to her 2018 single “Black Hypocrisy,” created to draw attention to the issue of colorism within the Black community. She promoted the single by posting images of herself with considerably lighter skin.

Spice claimed she would not have garnered the backlash over the Erica Mena situation if she were lighter-skinned. She shared an image of her with an ivory tone to highlight her point.

“If I looked like this then some of the Black people who are commenting that it’s okay would not be saying what they’re saying,” Spice continued. “You can play hypocrite if you want.” Check out the IG Live below.

Janet Jackson Responds To Accusations She Shaded Nicki Minaj

After sharing a seemingly harmless photo on social media, Janet Jackson found herself on the receiving end of some criticism from Nicki Minaj’s devoted fanbase, The Barbz.

On Tuesday (September 5), the R&B icon shared a throwback photo of herself in an oversized white coat alongside a popular gif of a young Marsai Martin from Blackish putting on a pair of shades.

She captioned the photo “#fashhhionn.” Check it out below.

However, some users believed the post was an attack on Nicki Minaj. The “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” hitmaker recently unveiled one of the album covers for her upcoming Pink Friday 2 album. The image features Minaj wearing a white jacket.

That and the sassy gif was enough for the stans to go off on Janet Jackson for the perceived Nicki Minaj hate.

Nonetheless, the replies were littered with responses defending Jackson over the seemingly harmless posts.

“I need the Barbz under this tweet and in the quotes to TOUCH GRASS,” one person wrote. “What would make you think JANET JACKSON was making any reference to Nicki? A white coat??? Chile.”

Janet Jackson soon caught wind of the fuss and responded to a fan who noted the musical legend was showing off her fashion credentials.

“It’s a shame that people want to pit one artist against another,” Jackson replied. She also liked Minaj’s post of the album cover featuring the white coat.

Nicki Minaj Responds To Janet Jackson

For her part meanwhile, Nicki Minaj detected no shade and paid tribute to Janet Jackson. “Icon. Legend. Royalty,” she wrote before calling the legendary singer “The original definition of #ICanBeAllTheWayCoveredItsSTILLgivingSEXY.”

Many others refused to believe Janet Jackson shaded Nicki Minaj with her post. Check out some other responses below.

Juicy J Recalls Will Smith Dissing Three 6 Mafia When They Won Oscar

Juicy J didn’t appreciate how Will Smith reacted to Three 6 Mafia’s 2006 Oscar win for Best Original Song. The multi-platinum selling rapper/producer discussed Will Smith’s alleged disrespect at the 78th Academy Awards on the Allison Interviews podcast.

“[Will Smith] ran up, he was like, ‘Man, I’m just mad ‘cause y’all got one before me,’” Juicy J told host Allison Kugel. “It could’ve been a joke, but I don’t know him. First of all, when I seen him, I was like, ‘I grew up listening to your music, man. It’s an honor to meet you.’ And he shook my hand, but he was like, ‘Man, what the hell? Y’all got one before me?’ And like I said, he could have been joking. He’s a comedian too. But I didn’t take it like that because I’m thinking people are gonna be like, ‘Congratulations.’ But he didn’t say that.”

Juicy J believed he got dissed by Will Smith since several A-listers congratulated Three 6 Mafia. The Memphis native named a few of the stars who commended the group, but he mainly remembered how Black Hollywood seemed to ignore Three 6 Mafia.

“John Travolta walked up to me, he said, ‘Congratulations,’” Juicy J told Kugel. “Steven Spielberg said, ‘Congratulations.’ George Clooney, which he had won one, he said, ‘Congratulations.’ A lot of those actors was like, ‘Congratulations.’ Nobody Black walked up to me and said, ‘Congratulations,’ that I can remember … But a lot of that stuff was kinda weird that night.”

He continued, “I was like, ‘Damn, this is weird. Maybe this is what Hollywood is all about.’ But I don’t let things get me down because Three 6 Mafia as a group, we always been against all odds. We always had doors slammed in our faces. We always had people say, ‘Don’t mess with those guys, they’re devil worshipers,’ and all that stuff. I was used to it.”

Juicy J tells more stories from his legendary career in the new memoir Chronicles of the Juice Man, which dropped on Tuesday (September 5). Purchase the book here.

Biden’s Education Secretary Catches Hell From Right-Wingers Over Rap Playlist

United States Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona deleted a Twitter post of his rap playlist after facing backlash from right-wing figures. Moms for Liberty, which was labeled an extremist group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, and other conservatives criticized Cardona via social media on Tuesday (September 5).

Cardona shared his rap playlist in celebration of Hip-Hop’s 50th anniversary. He asked followers to pick their favorite track from his selections.

“A little-known fact about me: I love Hip-Hop,” Cardona wrote. “To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop, I’m sharing my #EdBusTour23 playlist. Here are some of the songs I’ll be listening to on the road. What’s your favorite?”

Cardona’s rap playlist featured Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre, Tupac Shakur, Nas, KRS-One, Drake and more. Moms for Liberty threw a fit over the inclusion of Big Pun’s “Still Not a Player” in particular.

“Are you serious @SecCardona?” the group complained on Twitter. “’My my, I’m big huh, I rip my pr* through your h######, I’m sick, you couldn’t measure my d* with six rulers.’ Only 1/3 of American public school students are reading on grade level and you are riding around the country promoting profanity. Resign.”

The group’s co-founder Tiffany Justice condemned Cardona in her own post. She tagged several Republican politicians, demanding oversight.

SIGNS: Spicy “One Chip Challenge” Possibly Linked To Teen Death, Family Says

A Massachusetts family is grieving the loss of a teenager who they claim died after participating in the viral Paqui “One Chip Challenge” with several of his peers.

The Paqui One Chip Challenge consists of consuming a single fried tortilla-style chip covered in a spice blend containing some of the world’s hottest peppers, including the Carolina Reaper and the Naga Viper Pepper. There are thousands of videos on TikTok of users participating in the challenge, with some videos racking up millions of views—Shaq even participated in the challenge on live TV. Popular Twitch streamer iShowSpeed also did the challenge during a stream and called the police in distress afterward claiming he couldn’t breath.

In the case of 14-year-old Harris Wolobah, though, the Paqui trend was not all fun and games and is believed to have had deadly consequences for the Worchester teen. According to reports, Wolobah reportedly participated in the One Chip Challenge with other members of the Doherty Memorial High School basketball team. His family says his death was caused by complications from eating an extremely spicy chip and alleges he should’ve been sent to the hospital rather than the nurse’s office shortly after engaging in the challenge.

Wolobah’s family alleges that the school nurse sent him home with a stomach ache and that he started to feel better later in the evening but claims the sophomore collapsed shortly while getting ready for basketball practice. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy is still pending but Wolobah’s family is almost certain the spicy chip played a roll in the death of their son.

B.G. Released After Well Over A Decade In Prison; Birdman Flies To His Side

B.G. is a free man. The platinum-selling artist was released from prison on Tuesday (September 5).

Cash Money Records co-founder Birdman was among the first people to greet B.G. home. Birdman streamed their reunion on Instagram Live.

B.G. was signed to Cash Money for many years, helping the label become a powerhouse in the music industry. Checkmate, his last solo album for Cash Money, dropped in 2000. He released several projects after leaving the label, the most recent of which was 2009’s Too Hood 2 Be Hollywood.

The New Orleans native’s criminal history and a 2009 arrest derailed his career for more than a decade. B.G. was sentenced to 14 years in prison for gun possession and witness tampering in 2012.

B.G. got out of prison a few days after celebrating his birthday. He vowed to move forward with his life in an Instagram post about his final birthday behind bars.

“This year I’m celebrating the whole Virgo cycle, matter of fact, from this year forward I’m living and celebrating like everyday is #MyBIRTHDAY,” B.G. wrote. “The main focus is to stay focused. I’m not letting nobody rob me of my productivity, prosperity, positivity and peace of mind. My dreams then got bigger and my vision is clearer.”

He added, “13 years was more then enough time for me to change the reckless path I was on.”

Juicy J Says Mac Miller Brought Box Of Drugs To Studio A Month Before Death

Juicy J reflected on the loss of Mac Miller in an interview with Allison Kugel. The Three 6 Mafia member regretted not taking a box of drugs away from Mac Miller while they were working in the studio a month before the late rapper’s death.

“We was in the recording studio and he had a party pack … it’s like every kind of drug you can take and it’s in a pack or a box or whatever,” Juicy J said. “He pulls out this box and pops a couple of things and he offers me some coke. If I could turn back the hands of time, I would have snatched that box. And I know he probably would have tried to fight me, but I would have snatched that box and I would’ve dumped it in the toilet and flushed it.”

Mac Miller died of a drug overdose in September 2018. Juicy J wished he had intervened in some way, remembering their last moments together in his new memoir Chronicles of the Juice Man. The Oscar-winning artist wondered if things would’ve turned out differently if he warned his friend/collaborator with stories of his own drug use.

“I knew Mac Miller when he was like 17,” he told Kugel. “I threw his 18th birthday party at my studio … He was like a little brother to me. I hated to see him do that. He was around 25 or 26 before he passed, so he a grown-ass man. I seen what he was doing. I didn’t say anything. I just told him, ‘I’m cool, I’m straight. Let’s just finish the music.’ I swear, if I could turn back the hands of time, I would have snatched that box and thrown that box across the street.”

Juicy J continued, “And [I should’ve] said, ‘Look, get mad if you want, but I love you, bro. I want to see you alive. Let’s talk. Let me tell you some stories about my drug use. Let me tell you some stories about growing up and Three 6 Mafia and the whole Memphis scene and what I went through and how things can turn up if you do the wrong drug or you overdose or whatever.’ I wish I could, man.”

Exclusive: Nas Prepping New Music—Without Hit-Boy

Without question rapper, Nas is one of the goats of Hip-Hop. The Queensbridge, native, and New York king has put out an inconceivably lengthy number of albums recently partnering with producer, Hit-Boy, he has gotten things done in a major way, and proven that older school artists are able to compete creatively as they get older. The old adage that it’s only a young men’s or young women’s sport is dead.

But that is not the rumor.

The rumor is that God’s Son is now working on new music already. Bro JUST released a new album with Lil Hit, Magic 2. That was a dope album, but there were some grumblings that people wanted to hear Nasir on other beats. Sources have heard this music and say it is amazing. In fact, they say it is spectacular. Beyond dope! What does that mean with a rapper like Nas? Hard to say. However, I can say this: he is not letting up. If there are any arguments about who holds the crown, Nas is changing that narrative one project at a time.

I know Jay-Z HAS to be looking at his former nemesis’s work rate in awe! I wish 50 Cent had brought the pain on that song he and Nas did. I am hoping that Nas and Hit-Boy finish the triology with a Magic 3 project. That would be a nice full-circle moment. Then, let us hear what he and Preemo and do!
