Lindsay Lohan Finally Explains How Steph and Ayesha Curry Became Godparents To Her Son

Lindsay Lohan has finally explained how Steph and Ayesha Curry were chosen as her son’s godparents in a recent sit down with Jimmy Fallon. Lindsay Lohan has finally disclosed the story behind Steph and Ayesha Curry’s roles as her son’s godparents.

The revelation came during a recent appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” where the actress entered into a conversation that gave her fans an intimate glimpse into her private life, far removed from the limelight that has followed her since her days as a child star.

Lohan, who has ventured from the Hollywood scene into more personal projects in recent years, warmly recounted the journey of how the Steph Curry and his wife, who is equally formidable in her own right, came to be an integral part of her and her son Luai’s lives.

The unexpected connection was made through a mutual friend and celebrated chef Michael Mina. While residing in Dubai, where Lohan and her husband, financier Bader Shammas, call home, an opportunity for the couples to meet materialized, leading to a swift and deep connection.

“Michael Mina kept saying to Bader, he was like, ‘You need to introduce Lindsay and Ayesha. I need them to meet.’ So she happened to be coming to Dubai and we met and we just clicked right off the bat,” Lindsay Lohan explained.

The significance of friendships forged in adulthood can often be overshadowed by the convenience of connections from younger years. However, Lindsay emphasized the swift and profound bond that developed between the two couples, crediting their shared experiences and outlook on life as parents.

“It’s so funny because, like, when you get older in life, you don’t make, like, adult friends and friendships that grow. And she’s been with me since,” Lindsay Lohan explained.

This rapid yet robust connection led to Steph and Ayesha Curry being asked to become godparents to Lohan’s child, encapsulating the warmth and trust she felt toward the couple.

Moreover, Lindsay touched on her plans for the future, including her involvement in the upcoming Netflix project, “Irish Wish,” where she not only delivers her signature brilliance on screen but also collaborates with Ayesha. The film is set to premiere on March 15.

Maxine Waters Honored With Mural In Crenshaw Next To Nipsey Hussle, Kobe Bryant

In a tribute nestled within the heart of Los Angeles’ Crenshaw neighborhood, Congresswoman Maxine Waters has found herself immortalized alongside the likes of rapper Nipsey Hussle and Kobe Bryant in a striking new mural, weaving her into the legacy of figures deeply revered by the community.

The National Urban League, an organization committed to economic empowerment in order to elevate the standard of living in historically underserved urban communities, bestowed this honor upon Waters, affirming her status as a pivotal figure in both political and community circles.

The mural, crafted by local artist Demi Lauren, was unveiled last weekend.

Waters, who has served in Congress since 1991, representing various districts in Los Angeles, expressed her profound honor at being featured on the wall, underscoring the significance of her inclusion alongside Bryant, an NBA legend, and Hussle, a Grammy-nominated rapper and community activist who was tragically killed in 2019.

“I am so honored that this community has sponsored my image on the wall in the Crenshaw area. My image joins the wall with the depictions of Kobe Bryant and Nipsey Hussle. This wonderful artistic rendering was accomplished by a young local artist. What an honor,” Maxine Waters stated.

Waters’ engagement with the mural, and by extension her visibility within the hip-hop community, is further highlighted by recent interactions with prominent figures such as Megan Thee Stallion.

Maxine Waters has praised Megan for her musical talent and advocacy, particularly in the context of the rapper’s op-ed for The New York Times where she discussed the importance of protecting Black women.

Most of the comments under her Twitter post highlighting the new mural were positive, but of course some people had issues with Waters, who can sometimes be controversial.

Dame Dash Calls Out Lyor Cohen For Exploiting Young Thug

Dame Dash is not a fan of Lyor Cohen. The Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder has criticized Cohen for years. Dash shared more unfavorable opinions about the longtime entertainment industry insider.

In particular, Dame Dash called out Lyor Cohen while recently appearing on Math Hoffa’s podcast. Their conversation included Dash discussing Young Thug’s ongoing RICO trial in Georgia.

“When I look at Young Thug, I’m like, Lyor and them just made a big check and he’s going to jail. They made money off his music,” the 52-year-old entrepreneur told Math Hoffa.

Dame Dash also said, “So if they made money off that music and he’s in jail for that, then all that money they made off the music should not go to them. How do they get to get all that money and he has to get a jail cell? And they made money off the music that’s putting him in jail.”

Young Thug (born Jeffery Williams) faces gang-related charges as the leader of the YSL crew. He remains in jail while the case plays out in a Fulton County court. A judge ruled Thug’s lyrics can be used as evidence.

300 Entertainment reportedly signed Young Thug to a record deal in 2014. Lyor Cohen, Kevin Liles, Todd Moscowitz, and Roger Gold founded the New York City-based record label two years earlier.

However, Cohen left 300 Entertainment in 2016 and became YouTube’s Global Head of Music. The former Def Jam Recordings head has clashed with Dame Dash on multiple occasions, including a 2015 dispute over “culture vulture” accusations.

Here’s our interview with Dame, where he says he wants to fight Cohen.

Cam’ron Responds To Cardi B Saying His Song Inspired Controversial Coach Lyric In “Like What”

Cardi B’s new song ignited an online conversation about Coach New York handbags. “Like What Freestyle” received a positive response from the company, but Dipset leader Cam’ron had some tongue-in-cheek concerns about his supposed role in the situation.

“Like a Coach bag, baby, this ain’t what you want,” Cardi B raps on her latest release. Some social media users questioned why the New York City native seemingly dissed the brand and its consumers.

As a result, Cardi spoke about the controversy on a livestream. She then began rapping the lyrics to Cam’ron’s “Hey Muma” off the Gunz n’ Butta joint album with Vado. That song also includes bars about Coach.

“I really am a real Dipset fan,” Cardi stated in the video. She also added, “In 2011, everybody started to get rid of their Coach s###. I assume it was really because of Cam’ron. So when I was doing [“Like What Freestyle”], that’s what I was thinking about.”

In response, Cam’ron tagged Cardi B in an Instagram post. The It Is What It Is sports podcast host jokingly delivered a message calling out the Bronx native for adding him to the conversation.

“Yo @iamcardib this ain’t ‘BardiB’ stand on them bars!! I followed you 10yrs ago cause u ain’t give a f###!! Now you copping a plea!! Lol,” Cam’ron wrote in his Instagram caption.

Plies has become one of the most outspoken Hip-Hop figures to openly talk about political matters. He recently shared his opinion about Black men and social issues.

The Florida-raised rapper/influencer did not address specific people in his social media post about the topic. However, Plies called out his unnamed peers for allegedly only speaking out for financial reasons.

“Most Black Men Don’t Speak On Black Issues (Publicly). Until The White Man [Stops] Paying Them. The Checks Have To Stop 1st B4 They Come Off Mute!!!” Plies tweeted on Monday (March 4).

Plies has publicly accused Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump of spewing racism. The “Bust It Baby (Part 2)” hitmaker also criticized Democratic politicians President Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris for not talking more about the administration’s accomplishments.

While Plies has supported Biden and Harris, numerous other Hip-Hop acts backed Donald Trump. For example, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Kodak Black, Waka Flocka Flame and Sexyy Red praised the MAGA leader.

In 2023, Buffalo-bred rapper Benny The Butcher endorsed Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. The Everybody Can’t Go album creator recently revealed he turned down a meeting with Trump, claiming rap stars have faced backlash for aligning with the former POTUS.

Meek Mill Clowned Over Plan To Apply For Ghanaian Citizenship

Meek Mill believes America is designed to “tear Black men down” and wants dual citizenship with Ghana.

The Dream Chasers Records founder has dominated headlines over the past week. He’s faced ridicule from social media users reacting to allegations in the latest lawsuit against Diddy. The suit, filed in federal court, seemingly indicated the Hip-Hop mogul confessed to having sex with producer Stevie J. as well as Meek Mill and Usher.

On Monday (March 4), after days of lashing out at trolls and denying the allegations, Meek took to social media to announce his desire for Ghanaian citizenship.

“I wanna get citizenship in Ghana!!!! America made to tear black men down if you don’t follow orders!,” he shared.

In a follow-up post, Meek declared, “Africa don’t got this s### I’m getting dual citizenship if they let me!”

Social Media Reacts To Meek Mill’s Ghana Plan

However, not everybody was as enthusiastic about the plan, with some commenters advising the Philly rapper to take a social media break.

“Stay off social media for a few days,” one fan replied. “Keep it with family and your p.r team then you come back bigger and stronger bro the last few post you been all over the place.”

Meanwhile, others used the opportunity to continue to troll Meek over the lawsuit allegations.

“Ghana would lock you up fam,” one person replied alongside a post reporting the nation’s parliament recently passed a bill to imprison members of the LGBTQ+ community for up to three years.

This isn’t the first time Meek Mill has considered a move to Ghana. He revealed his intention to buy a property there back in 2020 and has since visited the West African nation. Despite criticism over a video shoot in the presidential palace last year, the president thanked Meek Mill for coming to Ghana and “reforging the link.”

Meanwhile, Meek Mill recently shared his concerns over the dire state of safety and societal issues in America. He also vowed to investigate the “cyber attacks against black artist and leaders,” in the wake of the Diddy lawsuit controversy.

Will Smith Confirms “Bad Boys 4” Shoot Wrapped, Announces Summer Release

Bad Boys 4 filming has officially wrapped nearly three decades after Will Smith and Martin Lawrence starred in the first film in the iconic franchise.

In recent weeks, the cast has been in Miami shooting the highly anticipated movie, with Smith sharing updates from the set.

On Monday (March 4), Smith took to Instagram with the news fans have been waiting for. He shared an image of him and Lawrence fist-bumping in front of a Ferris wheel while announcing the Bad Boys 4 release date.

“WRAPPED!” he penned in the caption. “Nothin’ but Magic every time I’m with my guy. See y’all June 7 for @BADBOYS 4!!”

Lawrence reflected on the success of the franchise in a 2022 interview with Ebony.

“It was big,” he said of the 1995 movie that started it all. “For us to come together and prove that we can deliver, and we can pull people into the box office – that two Black stars, two sitcom stars, could make money at the box office [was huge]… I didn’t go to college, so I felt TV was my college years.”

He added, “I felt with movies, I had graduated; it was just different.”

Despite reports to the contrary, Sony chairman Tom Rothman denied Bad Boys 4 filming was put on hold after Smith infamously struck Chris Rock during the 94th Academy Awards.

“That was inaccurate,” he explained in 2022. “That was an example of a very good person having a very bad moment, in front of the world. I believe his apology and regret is genuine, and I believe in forgiveness and redemption.”

Last January, Smith finally confirmed filming was underway for Bad Boys 4.

“It’s about that time!” Will Smith declared in a video. “It’s official, y’all.”

Charles Barkley Threatens To Punch Any Black Person Wearing Donald Trump Mugshot Shirt

Charles Barkley was so incensed by Donald Trump’s latest remarks about Black people that he’ll put hands on any Black person wearing the former president’s mugshot.

Trump sparked controversy the day before winning the South Carolina primary last week after suggesting Black voters “embraced” him following his arrest for attempting to overturn the 2020 election.

“’When I did the mug shot in Atlanta, that mug shot is No. 1,” Trump said during a speech at the Black Conservative Federation’s annual Honors Gala. “You know who embraced it more than anyone else? The Black population. It’s incredible. Black people walking around with my mugshots! You know they do shirts.”

The NBA legend reacted to the clip on his King Charles show with co-host Gayle King on CNN

“First of all, I’m just gonna say this: if I see a Black person walking around with Trump’s mugshot, I’m [gonna] punch him in the face,” Barkley stated.

When King interjected to point out he would face arrest, Barkley remained steadfast. “I will bail myself out and go celebrate,” he added. “If I was at that conference, I would have got up and walked out. That was an insult to all Black people.”

He continued, “To compare Black history, when we’ve been discriminated against, to his plight—first of all, he’s a billionaire, and they’re prosecuting him for stuff he did wrong.”

Barkley added, “It’s not a fair comparison. He’s a billionaire, he’s had a great life. He’s been President of the United States. To insult Black people who have been discriminated against all these years, to put them in the same category. I was just offended.”

Like Charles Barkley, Plies also took offense to Trump’s comments. Read his reaction here at AllHopHip.com.

Andrew Schulz Roasts Meek Mill Over Gay Allegations: “He’s Incredibly Bad At Proving He’s Straight”

Meek Mill remains a trending topic after seemingly being implicated in the latest lawsuit against Diddy.

Equally headline-worthy was the Philly rapper’s reaction to the suit and the resulting internet chatter, a topic comedian Andrew Schulz made the butt of his jokes during a recent comedy Show in Meek’s hometown.

“I was gay happy; I was like Meek Mil,” Schulz said during his set. “I’ll be honest with you, I don’t think Meek is gay. But I do think he’s incredibly bad at proving he’s straight. He is maybe the worst in history of doing that.”

The Flagrant podcast host then referenced Meek’s social media meltdown in response to the rumors over his sexuality, including a post where the Dream Chasers Records founder declared his love for women.

“When I got a girl around me I’m f#%king her twice a day lol ask some of ya favorites … p#### don’t control me but it’s like a high,” he shared on February 28. “One love to the gay people but that juicy p#%sy do it for meeeeee I done ran red lights to get that feeling yall weird on here like devils lol.”

X/Meek Mill

Schulz joked: “When someone accuses you of being gay, you don’t get on Twitter and say, ‘I love p#### so much it’s so juicy and wet, it’s my favorite thing to put my dick in.’ Meek was like, ‘I even had sex with a girl on her period, that’s how you know I love women.’ He tweeted that, and I was like, “Oh, he thinks that’s disgusting.’ And you know who else thinks that’s this disgusting? The gays!”

He then went on to commend Meek for his social activism before joking about why the REFORM Alliance co-founder works on “getting all them gay dudes” out of prison.

The Meek Mill roast continued in the caption. “Philly I love you,” Schulz declared. “Thank you for always holding me down… just like Meek would hold down Puf… JOKING. JOKING. Meek I love you brother!”

Meek Mill Responds To Andrew Schulz

The clip soon attracted the attention of Meek, but he was able to see the funny side.

He reposted the video alongside a series of laughing emojis with a gentle warning for Schulz.

“The first time I laughed at being gay,” he wrote. “But dont wit me in real life I May swing lol.”

Megan Thee Stallion Fans Outraged Over Debut Of New Tory Lanez Shooting Film

In a move that has sparked both controversy and outright mockery online, a film inspired by the shooting incident involving Megan Thee Stallion and rapper Tory Lanez has been released, much to the discontent of some of her hardcore fans.

The film, provocatively titled “The Rapper Who Got Shot in the Heel,” has quickly become the subject of widespread criticism and jest across social media platforms, particularly on X (formerly Twitter), where the movie poster first went viral.

The production’s announcement comes amid an ongoing legal battle and public discourse concerning the July 2020 incident, where Megan Thee Stallion was shot in the foot, an event she alleges was perpetrated by Tory Lanez.

Tory Lanez has since appealed his 10-year prison sentence prison over the assault. Yet, the decision to dramatize these events into a movie has struck a nerve with many who view it as trivializing a serious matter.

On platforms such as X, fans and observers expressed their dismay through a barrage of comments and memes about the movie, which centers around the drama between Raven The Stallion (Ivy Christiana) and Cory Gainz (director, Alvin Gray).

“I really am that bored that I paid the $1.99 for that movie ‘The Rapper that Got Shot in the Heel.’ Yeah they got me 🥴🤦🏾‍♂️🫠 This s### is super trash,” one angry user wrote of the 51-minute movie, while another said: “Yes I chose to watch “the rapper who got shot in the heel..” I’m experiencing second hand embarrassment watching this.”

Critics argue that making light of the situation or seeking to profit from it disrespects Megan Thee Stallion’s experience and undermines the gravity of violence against women, especially Black women, in the entertainment industry.

Despite the backlash, the film’s production team has issued statements claiming the movie aims to bring awareness to the challenges female rappers face, including violence.

However, these intentions have done little to quell the outrage or the flood of sarcastic responses online since the full length film debuted on Amazon prime.

Meek Mill’s Warning On Gun Violence & Illegal Immigrants Sparks Discussion

In a recent public service announcement, rapper Meek Mill took to Twitter, addressing the dire state of safety and societal issues in America.

Meek, known for his activism and social commentary through music In his reform alliance with Jay-Z, painted a grim picture of the challenges facing Americans today.

“Make sure you strap up in America it’s extremely dangerous on the streets! They have no control illegal immigrants everywhere… automatic guns flooded the inner city’s … fettynal poison in most drugs … opioids melting the brains of humans .. and algorithms mind control,” Meek Mill tweeted.

His tweet highlights a range of issues from gun violence, the opioid crisis, to the influence of technology on mental health.

Meek’s words resonate with many Americans who face these realities daily. .

Recent statistics corroborate Meek Mill’s concerns about gun violence. According to the Gun Violence Archive, there have been over 5,000 gun-related deaths in the United States so far this year alone, not including suicides.

In his hometown of Philly, there have been 51 deaths, which is actually a decrease of 30% compared to 2023.

This figure starkly illustrates the prevalence of gun violence in the country.

Meanwhile, the opioid crisis remains a public health emergency. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that nearly 70,000 Americans died from opioid overdoses in 2020, a record number that underscores the deadly impact of this epidemic.

As Meek Mill shines a light on these urgent issues, it’s also noteworthy that he continues to express his creativity and activism through music.

The rapper just released his new EP titled “Heathenism” on Friday, further solidifying his role as a pivotal voice in both the music industry and social discourse.

However, some took issue with his opinions. Check out some of the replies below.

Prince’s Written Hit “Nothing Compares 2 U” At Center Of “Devil” Trump Rally Controversy

The late Prince has somehow been caught up in a battle between Sinéad O’Connor and former President Donald Trump for his unauthorized use of the song the “Purple One” wrote, the acclaimed 1990 hit, “Nothing Compares 2 U,” during his political rallies.

The action signifies not only a dispute over copyright infringement but delves deeper into matters of artistic integrity and respect for an artist’s values even after their death.

The song, originally written by Prince for one of his side projects, The Family, never gained much attention until O’Connor’s rendition catapulted it into worldwide fame.

Prince, known for his prolific songwriting and musical innovation, penned “Nothing Compares 2 U” as a deep expression of loss and longing, themes universally resonant yet deeply personal to O’Connor’s vocal delivery, which imbued the song with a raw emotional power that resonated with millions.

Sinéad O’Connor, who passed away in 2023, was a figure known not just for her musical talent but for her outspokenness, particularly on issues of politics and human rights.

Her estate, alongside Chrysalis Records, has expressed that the use of O’Connor’s version of the song by Trump—an individual whom O’Connor had explicitly criticized—contravenes the principles she stood for.

“Throughout her life, it is well known that Sinéad O’Connor lived by a fierce moral code defined by honesty, kindness, fairness, and decency towards her fellow human beings,” the estate and Chrysalis Records stated in a joint communication.

They further highlighted O’Connor’s own words from a 2020 interview with Hot Press, where she labeled Trump as a “biblical devil,” underscoring the stark opposition between O’Connor’s beliefs and the ideologies represented by Trump’s usage of her work.

In 2020, Sinead told Hot Press, “I actually do believe Donald Trump is the biblical devil, the f**ker….I know this may sound extreme – I don’t really give a flying f—k what everyone else thinks — but I am convinced the man is actually a Satanist.”

Meek Mill Seeks Help Of Investigators To Curtail “Attacks Against Black Artists & Leaders”

Meek Mill has vowed to carry out an investigation into recent “attacks” on Black artists and leaders, following his implication in one of Diddy’s recent sexual assault lawsuits.

On Monday (March 4), Meek revealed his plan on Twitter (X) in a series of tweets in which he both called out major corporations for the major power they have while also defending his sexuality.

”I just hired investigators to see to been starting these cyber attacks against black artist and leaders,” Meek wrote in part. “They making blogs post anything that destroys the black house hold and powering everything that level is down!”

In a follow-up tweet, Meek Meek alleged the same companies behind the purported cyber attacks are also responsible for Kodak Black’s issues with mental health.

“A big company powered ‘I know the perc was fake but I still ate’ now we praying for yak mental,” he wrote. “Lil bru need his people … yall think this s### a game they have our people totally distracted! I will never be gay or a rat …. Ima die like that and ima forever step!”

Prior to issuing his investigation announcement, Meek Mill reposted a video social media influencer Ariadna Jacobs created suggesting Hollywood was trying to “silence” him. The clip, which was created in response to a previous tweet Meek Mill shared, shows various media figures’ critiques of his involvement with American politics.

Nicki Minaj Didn’t Steal From Choreographer Nor Offer Him $100 Barbz Say

Nicki Minaj’s cult-leaning fanbase, The Barbz, have set their sights on a young male choreographer, who claims he was stiffed by the Pink Friday 2 (PF2) lyricist.

The choreo in question, Danté Colley, went viral last December after posting a video of the routine he created to the standout PF2 track “FTCLU.” However, Colley’s moment in the limelight was quickly dimmed as he began being overshadowed by creators staking claim to the dance he created. Additionally, Colley revealed that members from Nicki’s team attempted to offer him less than $100 for his choreography to be used in her Pink Friday 2 Tour. Now, it should be noted that Nicki Minaj tweeted about getting him the recognition he deserved for his work.

“I thought a lady Zara made it up?” Nicki questioned in the tweet. “Thought she was an artist having fun w|it…? so glad barbz brought it2 my attention in time [making me proud as always] I’ll have Casper reach out to this VERY TALENTED & seemingly VERY sweet guy ASAP to figure out the best way to make him feel seen, appreciated & paid #PinkFriday2#GagCityTOUR.”

However, Colley is now claiming nothing has been done to rectify the situation by the person Nicki Minaj left in charge to handle it.

“I was just looking for the opportunity to potentially collaborate and receive credit,” Colley said in a video addressing the incident. “Neither one of those options seemed possible and have been rejected.”

In a follow-up video posted on Monday (March 4), Colley also appears to refute the claims that he declined a meet and greet opportunity and concert tickets as a form of compensation.

On the flip side, The Barbz have begun attacking Colley, alleging he was in a similar predicament with Beyoncé’s camp prior to the current occurrence with Nicki Minaj—however, they claim he didn’t keep that same energy.

“100 dollars (if that’s even the real amount @BEAUcasperSMART and Nicki offered) is more than the amount your fav paid him,” an Twitter (X) user wrote in a tweet replying to Colley’s video. “Kelis and the Cuff It challenge people! Go start a GoFundMe since y’all care so much! Hiding behind Beyonce cuz the other two girls in your name is flopping!”

Turk Teams With Robert Kennedy Jr. For Campaign Anthem: Conservatives Clutch Their Pearls

Conservatives are aghast after learning Robert Kennedy Jr. has joined forces with Hot Boys rapper Turk for a new campaign anthem. Turk infamously served nine years in prison for the attempted murder of a New Orleans police officer and some people apparently don’t think he’s the best choice for an endorsement.

The track, titled “Standing On Bidness” also features Drumma Boy, Boosie Badazz, Jazze Pha and Angela Angela Stanton King.” According to a press release, the song is intended “unite music lovers and voters alike under a message of community empowerment and political participation.”

It opens with Kennedy saying, “I’m Robert F. Kennedy Jr. You don’t have to believe the lies. You don’t have to take sides. You can help me heal the vibe. As President of the United States, I’ll be standing on bidness and helping the community.”

Turk, formerly known as Hot Boy Turk, was arrested in 2004 after he shot two police officers during a SWAT raid in Memphis. One of Turk’s victims, Chris Harris, underwent three surgeries and had bone taken from his hip to reconstruct his jaw. Harris sued Turk in 2006 for $10 million. He was ultimately convicted of second-degree attempted murder and released in October 2012. Needless to say, he did his time.

Boosie Badazz has a well-documented criminal record as well. In 2010, he was charged with first-degree murder in a separate incident but acquitted two years later. He also served prison time on drug charges.

Republicans were quick to point out “Standing on Bidness” isn’t Kennedy’s first controversial collaboration. In 2023, he hosted convicted child sex predator Scott Ritter on his podcast to discuss their mutual opposition to the United States’ support for Ukraine in its war with Russia.

In any event, reactions to the song are mixed on social media. One person wrote, “Any candidate/incumbent that comes around Black folks with that stereotypical foolishness, and ain’t talkin’ about nothin important should be automatically disqualified. Lil Boosie & Turk should be ashamed of themselves,” while another said, ” love the track. your message was important at the beginning – Boosie and Turk both brought the heat! The truth is, music has been a part of most revolutions and political movements. You’re the first politician I’ve seen get directly involved, and it’s to push an important.”

TLC’s Chilli Gets New Title: Grandma

Chilli became a grandmother on Saturday (March 2). The TLC member’s son Tron Austin and his wife welcomed their first child, a baby girl, over the weekend.

“She was scheduled for March 6th on a Wednesday but nope she wanted to come sooner!” Austin wrote on Instagram. “This morning my wife’s water broke at 7am and we immediately got packed as soon as we could and headed to the hospital which is a hour and thirty minutes drive from where we are btw. She went into an emergency C section at 1pm our nerves were high and our anxiety was through the roof but despite all of that she powered through and gave birth to a healthy beautiful baby girl!!”

He added, “I am so beyond proud of her bravery and courage to do this so off guard we literally expected 3 more days but God always has his plan first! Eternally grateful to say we have officially started our family! This is a dream come true we started dating on September 22, 2018 fast forward almost 6 years later we are married with our first child life’s journey has now truly begun!!!”

Chill’s son and her daughter-in-law went through a difficult stretch before the two were finally able to have a child. Last year, Austin revealed everything his wife faced during the couple’s efforts to conceive a baby.

“She went through: 2 HSG procedures, 1 hysteroscopy, removal of both tubes and scar tissue’s from hernia & appendicitis surgeries, 1 egg retrieval, 1 miscarriage,” he wrote on Instagram. “And still stayed strong through the whole thing!#IVF has tested us and blessed us through a year and a half journey.”

Austin’s wife gave birth to their baby girl in South Korea. Chilli, 53, has not posted about her new granddaughter on social media.

Usher Catches Heat For Russell Simmons Bali Hang

Usher caught flack for spending time with Russell Simmons, who’s been accused of sexual assault. Fans were frustrated after Simmons shared footage and photos of the two in Bali on social media.

“Morning flow with a bunch of really happy Bali friends the generosity of spirit exuded by my friend @usher was amazing,” Simmons wrote in an Instagram post. “Fyi people were / are always so happy to be in his presence …so when i / they practice with him its a honor and privilege but the presence and attention he gives to each person is a gift its tough to be present with so many of us ‘fans’ each one of us demanding presence and focus its rare that a person can give so much w/ out it draining his energy … His quote when asked about the energy needed to accommodate so many was God ‘Its not me giving its God through me so it easy.’ this is pure yoga.”

Usher hung out with Simmons just a few weeks after Drew Dixon, one of Simmons’ alleged victims, sued the Def Jam co-founder for defamation. Dixon claimed Simmons carried out a “malicious campaign to discredit” her for accusing him of rape.

Simmons denied various allegations of sexual misconduct. He insisted his past experiences with women were consensual in a December 2023 interview with Graham Bensinger. Drew referenced the interview in her defamation lawsuit.

Usher associated with Simmons at a time when the singer’s name became attached to a shocking lawsuit against Diddy. Producer Lil Rod claimed Diddy had sex with Usher, among others, in a complaint filed on February 26. Usher’s name was redacted in the court documents, but observers quickly figured out the allegations were referencing him due to identifiers in the lawsuit. Lil Rod said Diddy had sex with an R&B singer who performed at the Super Bowl and had a successful Las Vegas residency.
