Eddie Murphy Marries Paige Butcher In Anguilla

Eddie Murphy has married Paige Butcher.

The Oscar nominee and Australian model exchanged vows on the Caribbean island of Anguilla in an intimate ceremony with loved ones.

Butcher donned a lace corseted gown by Mira Zwillinger, while Murphy opted for a white suit from Brioni. This union marks Murphy’s second marriage and Butcher’s first.

The couple’s romance began in 2012, and they have two children together: Izzy Oona, born May 3, 2016, and Max Charles, welcomed on November 30, 2018, just two months after their engagement.

Their recent nuptials follow closely on their joint appearance at the “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F” premiere in Los Angeles on June 20.

At the Netflix event, Eddie Murphy and Butcher were accompanied by Murphy’s daughters from his previous marriage to Nicole Mitchell: Bria, 34, Shayne Audra, 29, and Bella Zahra, 22.

Eddie Murphy, who stars in the “Beverly Hills Cop” series, received warm praise from his co-star Judge Reinhold.

“He’s crazy about his kids and his family,” Reinhold told People. “He’s a family guy at heart. Truly is. He really is.”

Last month, Boosie Badazz cut off his ankle monitor and hurled it into his swimming pool when learning the federal charges were set to be dropped.

“My P.O. say the charges terminated,” Boosie declared as his guests whooped and cheered. “And I can cut my ankle monitor off.”

Boosie’s legal issues stemmed from a traffic stop in May 2023 when police found two loaded handguns in his car. Cops charged him with being a felon in possession of a firearm. A judge dismissed the case weeks later, but Federal agents nabbed him moments after the dismissal. The feds also charged him with being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Desiigner Appears To Blame Veganism For Indecent Exposure Incident On Plane

Desiigner has opened up about his physical and mental state during his indecent exposure incident on an international flight in 2023.

During his recent interview, the “Panda” hitmaker addressed in detail the incident that occurred last year in April after he was arrested for exposing his genitals and a flight from Tokyo to Minneapolis. While recounting the events that unfolded while he was on the flight, Desiigner explained that he believes his diet, coupled with a drastic change in his medication regimen were partially to blame for the incident.

“I didn’t know what I was doing,” Desiigner said.

“Yeah, didn’t know what I was doing. I was fully tweaked out of my mind. This is when I was vegan. I didn’t have enough sugars and and s##t. Stuff like that. Yeah. So it was like, I was kind like out of my body. It was a OBE [Outer Body] experience, word. It really wasn’t who my character was. And it’s just like word bro. I was on medication, I took medication and Word and just went to sleep on the plane.”

Desiigner, whose real name is Sidney Selby, was sentenced to two years of probation and ordered to pay a $5,000 fine. His sentence included 120 hours of community service and an order to undergo a psychological, psychiatric or mental health evaluation.

As a result of taking his plea deal, Desiigner avoided jail time, which could’ve landed him behind bars for up to 90 days. Though he has managed to deal with the legal repercussions of his actions, Desiigner went on to explain that he’s focused on rebuilding his image as a result of his worries people may label him a predator.

“I’m just like, yo, just thinking like, damn, I hope nobody thinks I’m, I’m a pervert or anything,” he said. “That’s not what I’m all about. You feel me? I’m all about just love and just keeping things going and stuff.”

Authorities said Desiigner exposed his genitals multiple times and masturbated at least once on a flight from Tokyo to Minneapolis. As a result, he was charged with indecent exposure on an aircraft. Desiigner previously made a statement on the matter on his personal Instagram account following the occurrence.

“For the past few months I have not been OK, and I have been struggling to come to terms with what is going on,” he wrote on Instagram Stories. “While overseas for a concert I performed at, I had to be admitted into a hospital, I was not thinking clearly.

“They gave me meds, and I had to hop on a plane home. I am ashamed of my actions that happened on that plane. I landed back to the States and am admitting myself in a facility to help me.”

Multi-Hyphenate Social Impact MC Nikki Lynette Rises Out Of Rap To Make Moves With Spike Lee And Jamie Foxx

Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur catches up with an old friend to discover how much things have truly changed with Nikki Lynette.

You’ll never forget Nikki Lynette. She’s such an interesting, weird, and genuine person that any contact with her becomes a permanent instant impression. We became friends a little over 13 years ago in a period when there was an entirely new community emerging within Hip-Hop. Nikki, a native of Chicago, was one of those active participants. Very much counterculture, even within Hip-Hop, she stood out. After that period, often regarded as “The Blog Era,” things changed.

Nikki Lynette’s film “Happy Songs About Unhappy Things” recently had a sold-out screening in Los Angeles in front of a decidedly Hollywood crowd. Nikki reveals the movie’s premise and how a mental health crisis had her face to face with death in an attempted suicide after the mixtapes, parties, and events subsided. A multifaceted performer, writer, and visual artist, Nikki has fought on numerous fronts for equity and inclusion, but now finds real purpose as a mental health advocate. Transitioning from an indie artist to a playwright and film director, she has “Get Out Alive” and “Happy Songs About Unhappy Things,” both of which deal with depression and mental health. Nikki serves on the board of directors for the Chicago chapter of NAMI, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization. Her work is being developed with the support of the Tony Award-winning production company Octopus Theatricals.

AllHipHop: So tell people about it and what prompted you to create this visual work of art.

Nikki Lynette: Again, my name is Nikki Lynette. I don’t know if some of y’all remember me from the blog era where I had this really crazy mixed tape series called Roses and Guns. I was having the time…

AllHipHop: Oh, by the way, you used to call yourself the other Nikki because Nicki Minaj was out almost in a similar timeframe.

Nikki Lynette: I like the name the other Nikki. I still like it. So I had a really bad mental health crisis between 2015 and 2017 and I had a mental break and I took a long time away from performing or creating anything. One of the first things that I did when I came back was license my music to Spike Lee for “She’s Got To Have It.”

AllHipHop: That’s right. I remember that. The Netflix series

Nikki Lynette: Yes. And so when I met Spike and I went to the, she’s got to have it premiere. I told him I had this idea to create a film, but I was a little nervous because the idea was weird and I felt like it might alienate some folk, but call in others. And Spike was like, “So what? You just need to make it unapologetic. Other people don’t mind when you left out and they not unapologetic, so you shouldn’t be apologetic what you want to do.”

And so I was mad energized. Yeah. Other people ain’t apologetic and I’m going to just do it. And I didn’t realize how expensive making films was and I was poor. I was super poor because I had had a mental health crisis. I hadn’t been working in that long. And so it took from 2018 until 2023 for me to finally raise the money to do this film the way I wanted to do. And that’s partially because I have my musical about depression Get Out Alive. That started popping. And so my film had to take a backseat to the play and now I got the budget. It’s in festivals and it’s starting to get love. I’m excited.

AllHipHop: You stuck with it and I applaud you for that because it takes a lot just the creation process. But then when you start looping in funding and producers and support, and this is a very hearty piece of art. It’s not just iPhones and simple cameras. Talk about the production value and all that.

Nikki Lynette: As we know as people who consume Hip-Hop, who are in the culture, we know that our aesthetic, our style, our music has always been used to sell and further other people’s agendas. And so after my mental break, I realized I couldn’t just go back to doing art for the sake of art. It wasn’t enough to make me want to deal with the f#ck sh#t like the Hollywood stuff, the industry stuff. It wasn’t enough. And so I decided to make my work about mental health advocacy. I’m a social impact artist and in that way, it makes me a little bit better with tolerating that stuff. I have social anxiety. I don’t really like to be outside like that. I like to do it. I’m a performing artist. I like to do it on my terms and then go home. But in this piece, you see Hip-Hop used as a vehicle for communication.

We built sets, we built costumes, we created props. It was fully full-on creative. There was actual production value. And I feel like when it comes to a lot of times with black art, we don’t get to do that because we don’t get the budget. We don’t get to get our full idea out of our brains. There are people watching this right now who are just as capable as me and the only difference between them and me is they didn’t get their budget yet.

AllHipHop: What’s next for the project? And we’re going to get, you see, I don’t want you to shun Black people or give up on us because you have this Hollywood situation going on.

Nikki Lynette: I’m screening at Dream Con. Dream Con is a Black con. Yeah, that’s July 26-28.

AllHipHop: I think that the general population needs to see this. In general, I think that you’ve resonated with people, even my daughter, and people that you might not realize that you impact.

Nikki Lynette: I have no concept of my impact or my reach until I go outside. I’m an introvert, so I never know that people know me or have seen my work, or are affected by my work until I go to a screening or until I go to an event and people know who I am. I don’t assume people know me. I don’t assume anybody cares. I know that people with mental health issues know my work. And that’s what’s most important to me. Fame as a concept terrifies me. Clout as a concept terrifies me because it’s something that has to always go. You have to lose it in order for clout itself to have value. And I don’t want to shoot for those metrics. They feel like small wins. So, I never know how many people know my work, but then I get, I don’t know if you noticed, but Jamie Foxx and Datari Turner are producers.

AllHipHop: Was going to get to Jamie Foxx, but I didn’t want to lead with that.

Nikki Lynette: No, it’s because Ari has been following my work for a while. It started with him. He saw the film adaptation of my musical that I’m in the midst of optioning “Get Out Alive.” And he’s been following my work since then. And so they came on board with this project when they saw what I was doing with it. And we’re in the process of working toward actually getting a series for it. And so I never know how people react to my work until moments like that are very validating and inspiring.

AllHipHop: But I want to ask you real quick about being so vulnerable and being so open and authentic. It is refreshing on one end. And then for someone like myself, I can never put my insides out to the world the way you do and also online because then there’s an exchange. And sometimes people can be mean or judgmental or you know what I mean? And that’s something I’ve never gotten used to.

Nikki Lynette: Well, it’s okay, because I’m mean. So you know what I’m saying? I am equally as capable of being loving and warm and compassionate as I am of being a b#tch who you really shouldn’t f### with. I am not the one. And if you’re kind and sweet, I love you and I’m here for you and I’m supportive of you, but don’t f#ck with me because I’m here to do something. And it’s not to pay attention to you. You know what I’m saying? And so I don’t really mind, for me, it helps keep me accountable to my recovery because I am a suicide survivor. I do live with C-P-T-S-D (Complex post-traumatic stress disorder). I’m considered treatment resistant because f###### meds don’t work for me. So I have to stay on my wellness plan. I have to stay in therapy. I have to stay in conversation around my wellness. It’s important. And so I don’t really mind talking about it.

Another thing is I’m actually on the board of directors for NAMI Chicago, which is a pretty prominent mental health organization. I know the numbers. I see the statistics in real-time. So I understand that although there are a lot of voices online talking about mental health, not a lot has changed in terms of legislation, in terms of access to care. And the mental health numbers right now are abysmal. Suicide is the second leading cause of death for people ages 15 to 29. They are struggling. They are having a hard time Men account for 70% of all people who die by suicide. But women are half of all suicide attempts. The numbers are terrible across the board. And so I understand that the work that I do is important because I just don’t want nobody to struggle. I struggled.

I don’t want nobody to go through what I go through. Even now, I live with symptoms that are hard. I can go months without only getting two hours of sleep a night and nothing fixes it. Nothing changes it. I have to believe in wellness. I have to believe that things can get better or what the hell do I have?

AllHipHop: No, I feel you don’t understand. Yeah. But first of all, you’re not new to the entertainment or the performance. You’re a veteran.

Nikki Lynette: I’m new to theater and film in that space. They’re like, ah, nice to meet you man. You never know your worth until you go outside of your community. And then in other communities and other countries, people respect your talent and value you and put money towards stuff. Only in Hip-Hop do we downgrade the value of each other’s work.

Nikki Lynette: Yeah, I’m not available for that. I’m not available for that. And so that’s kind of the reason why I like to take this culture into other mediums. I take it into film, I take it into theater. I already got buzz as a rapper. The first money I ever made as an adult and life was off rap. I feel like if I can make it in this s###, I can make it anywhere. Can’t nobody gatekeep and treat you worse than in Hip-Hop. So I did it and I brought that hustle to film and theater and I feel welcome in those spaces and where I find closed doors, I always find a way to open. And I definitely feel like I learned that through Hip-Hop. So in that way, the culture has benefited my career.

AllHipHop: You’ve always been a bit counterculture anyway, even within Hip-Hop.

Nikki Lynette: Yeah. And now we got the people. We got Rico Nasty and we got people like Doja Cat. They know right? Back in the day, they wouldn’t have given them no play. They wouldn’t know. That’s a fact. Because I went through hell in them days to get my Ws. But they can’t keep us from getting them now. They can’t. Everybody emo now. Everybody alternative now. You know what I’m saying? Everybody got their nose pierced. I was ahead of my time.

AllHipHop: Nah, you were. That’s a fact. That’s a fact. That’s a fact. What’s next? What’s next? I mean you kind of told us, but tell us again.

Nikki Lynette: We are screening at Dream Con. I don’t know the date yet. We’re still sorting it out. I have a West Coast college tour. Well, let’s just say I’m doing a tour in September because there is a Chicago date as well. So there’s this tour in September for Suicide Awareness Month. And then I’m screening in London for World Mental Health Day. And I’m very, very excited about that. I love London. If you are a Black artist, go to London. Go, just go. Just go and check out the scene. Go to their open mics, go to their theater scene, go where you are celebrated – go.

AllHipHop: I know some incredible people in the UK. I have to make it over there.

Nikki Lynette: You do. Well, thank you so much. And for everybody that’s watching this: “Happy Songs About Unhappy Things.” You come to check it out. I’m trying to get it into New York, so hopefully. Thank you so much, and thank you for the love.

AllHipHop: Onward upward.

Young Dolph’s Alleged Murder Mastermind Catches Big Break

A Tennessee judge decided not to revoke the bond of Hernandez Govan, the man accused of ordering a hit on Young Dolph, at a court hearing on Friday (July 12). Govan avoided a return to jail despite getting arrested while out on bond in the murder case.

Judge Jennifer Mitchell allowed Govan to remain out of jail since prosecutors did not ask to revoke his bond, per FOX 13 Memphis. Govan is scheduled to face trial for Young Dolph’s 2021 murder in September.

Govan was arrested in Southaven, Mississippi on June 23. He was charged with stalking, driving with a suspended license and having an improperly mounted license tag. He secured his release from the DeSoto County Jail by posting a $2,250 bond.

Young Dolph was shot and killed at a Memphis bakery in 2021. Four men were charged in connection to his death.

Govan, Justin Johnson and Cornelius Smith faced first-degree murder charges. All three men pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Prosecutors said Govan was the man behind the plot to kill Young Dolph. Johnson and Smith allegedly carried out the hit.

Johnson and Smith remain behind bars. Govan was released on a $90,000 bond in 2023.

A fourth suspect, Johnson’s brother Jermarcus, accepted a plea deal in the murder case. He pleaded guilty to three counts of accessory after the fact. He awaits sentencing.

Trial delays and Govan’s bond upset Young Dolph’s longtime partner Mia Jaye. She said the legal process was “disheartening, unfair, triggering and hurtful.”

“My love’s life was taken… and to be left behind to see NO ONE be held accountable in the court of law for the act… is INSANE,” she wrote on social media.

Young Dolph, whose real name was Adolph Thornton Jr., is survived by Jaye and their two children. He was 36.

Diddy Allegedly Threatened To Leave Editor “Dead In The Trunk Of A Car”

Former Vibe editor-in-chief Danyel Smith grappled with her history with Sean “Diddy” Combs amid his legal issues in a New York Times Magazine essay. Smith recalled Diddy threatening her over a 1997 magazine cover.

“My assistant received a call on my line,” Smith wrote. “’It’s Puffy,’ she said. I got my mind right and picked up. He was still on message: He wanted to see the covers. I was still on message: It’s not what we do. It was then that Combs told me, as I’ve retold hundreds of times over the years, that he would see me ‘dead in the trunk of a car.’ Not missing a beat, I told him he needed to take that threat back. ‘Take it back,’ I said, sounding as if I were 10. ‘Take what back?’ Then, with a vile laugh, ‘F### you.’

She continued, “’Take it back now,’ I said. ‘Or I’m calling my lawyer, and you’re going to jail.’ He said: ‘I know where you are right now. Right on Lexington.’ I called my personal lawyer. I do not know what he said to Combs. Within two hours, Combs faxed over an apology. One of my male bosses was furious that I had not involved him. Combs had called him to complain that I sicced my lawyer on him, as if I somehow wasn’t playing fair.”

Smith detailed how she walked into work one day after the threats and discovered the magazine’s servers had been stolen. The Diddy cover issue was saved on the servers. Rumors spread claiming the theft was an “inside job.” Someone from Vibe supposedly let Bad Boy Records movers in the building. Reps for Diddy declined to comment.

Diddy is the subject of a federal investigation and faces multiple lawsuits. The disgraced mogul has been accused of sexual assault and sex trafficking.

The Bad Boy Records founder’s downfall began when his ex-girlfriend Cassie sued him for rape and years of abuse in November 2023. They settled out of court, but Cassie inspired more women to come forward and file lawsuits against Diddy. Homeland Security raided his homes as part of a federal investigation in March.

DaBaby Pleads Guilty To Sucker-Punching Senior Citizen

DaBaby accepted a plea deal in a California battery case on Thursday (July 11). The Interscope Records artist pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery for sucker-punching a man in December 2020.

Judge Ray Jurado sentenced DaBaby to one year of probation. The judge ordered the rapper to pay $10,000 in restitution and not possess, buy or sell deadly weapons. DaBaby also must stay at least 100 yards away from his victim.

Los Angeles County prosecutors charged DaBaby with felony battery in 2022. He was accused of punching 68-year-old Gary Pagar, who rented his mansion to DaBaby in 2020.

Prosecutors dropped the felony battery charge “due to problems of proof of proving serious bodily injury at trial,” per Rolling Stone. DaBaby faced up to four years in prison if convicted of felony battery.

DaBaby settled the criminal case with his plea deal but continued to battle a lawsuit over the 2020 incident. Pagar sued DaBaby for their violent confrontation, which allegedly stemmed from how many people were at the rented mansion. Pagar claimed no more than a dozen people were allowed to be at his property.

“The purpose of defendants’ trip to Los Angeles was to gather 40 people and a commercial film crew at Mr. Pagar’s house to film a music video,” Pagar’s lawsuit contended. “When Mr. Pagar asked them to stop, they beat and battered him, stole his phone by force so he couldn’t call the police and threatened him. Then they vandalized his house and left after stealing various valuable items.”

DaBaby responded to Pagar’s lawsuit by sharing purported footage of Pagar using racial slurs.

“ Y’all keep believing these type of people & helping em assassinate my character y’all might as well get a rope & help him hang my black ass on a tree,” DaBaby wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter).

LL COOL J Learned “How To Rap Again” On New Album With Nas, Eminem, Snoop Dogg & More

LL COOL J is gearing up to release his first project in over a decade, The FORCE, and he’s giving fans a taste of what’s to come with the new single “Passion” and the project’s star-studded tracklist.

On Friday (July 12), the iconic rapper-turned-actor shared the second song from his upcoming album, The FORCE. “Passion” follows lead single “Saturday Night Special” featuring Rick Ross and Fat Joe.

A Tribe Called Quest’s Q-Tip produced all 14 tracks on The FORCE, which stands for “frequencies of real creative energy.”

LL COOL J tapped a host of Hip-Hop legends alongside some talents from the younger generations on his first album in 11 years.

“It’s like a director going back to film school after he’s had blockbusters,” LL COOL J explained. “Denzel going back to acting class.”

LL COOL J told The Associated Press that crafting the project felt like “going back to the drawing board and learning how to rap again … making sure I was really inspired by the things I was saying. That’s why there isn’t a lot of fluff on this album.”

LL COOL J is set to drop The FORCE on September 6. The project includes features from Nas, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Saweetie and more.

“We’re talking 14 tracks of straight fire, all crafted by myself and the one and only Q-Tip,” LL said. “When you listen to this album, you’re not just hearing music, you’re experiencing a whole new vibe, a whole new level of artistic passion.”

No, Eminem Isn’t Dissing Kendrick Lamar On New Album

Either reading/listening comprehension is at an all-time low or netizens are engaging in selective outrage once again. Minutes after Eminem delivered his twelfth studio album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), Twitter (X) started blowing up with reactions to the opening song, “Renaissance.”

Keep in mind, The Death of Slim Shady is a concept album, so themes of duality and identity are present throughout. There’s a few lines that have some people thinking Eminem is dissing Kendrick Lamar, which if the Drake situation has proven anything, it’s not to pick on Kendrick Lamar.

“Now let’s travel inside the mind of a hater/‘Cause I don’t see no fans, all I see’s a bunch of complainers/’Kendrick’s album was cool, but it didn’t have any bangers/Wayne’s album or Ye’s, couldn’t tell you which one was lamer
Joyner’s album was corny, Shady’s new s### is way worse/Everything is either too tame or there’s too much anger/I didn’t like the beat, so I hated Might Delete Later‘/You nerdy p##### would find somethin’ wrong with 36 Chambers/It’s what they do to the greats/Pick apart a Picasso and make excuses to hate.”

Careful dissection of the lyrics will lead to the conclusion that not only is Eminem not dissing Kendrick Lamar, he’s calling him one of the “greats.” Eminem further praises Kendrick Lamar on “Lucifer,” saying, “That as far as smoke with me, I don’t think it’d be smart, so (whoah)/Might as well go lookin’ for smoke with Lamar, bro (yeah, yeah).”

Even so, Twitter (X) lit up with posts accusing Eminem of dissing the “Not Like Us” rap luminary and others encouraging them to listen to/read the lyrics. Find a few examples below.

Janelle Monáe Facing Backlash Over Cyber Pup Pet Amid Military Use In Gaza

Janelle Monáe is catching heat after showing off her robot dog in Paris as social media users brought up their reported use in the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict.

On Thursday (July 11) the multihyphenate artist caused a stir on the streets of the French capital after taking her robot dog sightseeing. The cyber pup accompanied Monáe and friends to the Eiffel Tower and dined with her in a chic restaurant.

Posting a video of “The Adventures of Atomix and The ArchAndroid,” Monáe declared, “Our time has arrived.” Janelle Monáe praised the dog, sharing her wish to use her relationship with the robot to demonstrate an ideal future.

“You are the kindest and smartest cyberpup to exist,” she wrote in the caption. “We will show humanity, cyborgs, androids, and robots a like how to live and love in peace and harmony while being the chicest to ever do it. It’s time.

While Monae fans are no strangers to her love of all things science fiction or her ArchAndroid alter ego, many were upset by her new companion.

“It’s cute till these things are patrolling you in cop city,” one person replied. Another added, “hey queen let’s not normalize these weapon dogs.”

A third fan referenced recent reports of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) use of robot dogs on the ground in Gaza.

“i love you so much but bb these machines are currently being used to kill Black and Brown people globally,” they protested. “Including their use in the genocide of Palestinians. Not a cute toy.”

Earlier this year, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported the IDF have been experimenting with robot dogs “in an effort to avoid harming soldiers and dogs.”

Ice Spice Debuts New Songs With Travis Scott & Central Cee

Ice Spice is giving fans new music for summer with collaborations with two of the biggest rap stars from opposite ends of the Atlantic, Travis Scott and Central Cee.

On Thursday (July 11), La Flame made his highly-anticipated return to London on his European Tour. Scott brought out several surprise guests, including Ice Spice, who performed hits including “Princess Diana.”

The crowd went wild for the Bronx-bred star, but Scott had another surprise, teasing a new collab with Spice.  Central Cee also made a guest appearance in his hometown, performing “BAND4BAND,” with Lil Baby.

Ice Spice and Central Cee’s performance at Travis Scott’s concert arrived at the same time as their much-hyped collab, “Did It First.”

The duo sparked dating rumors after hanging out together on several occasions. However, Ice Spice and Central Cee were busy in the studio, working on their transatlantic collab. The two-minute track is accompanied by a music video that sees Cench and Spice warn of the dangers of cheating on them.

The “Munch” hitmaker is yet to confirm where her track Travis Scott will land but the Central Cee collab is set to feature on her debut album. “Y2K!” is slated for release later this month on July 26.

Last October, Cench and Spice gave each other their flowers during an interview with Complex.

“[She] don’t really care too much about the shiny stuff; but also knows how to play the game,” he said of Ice Spice. “And you can hear that in the music, and see that in the moves that she makes.”

Meanwhile, Ice Spice revealed she became “good friends” with Central Cee when he hopped on the “Munch” remix.

Eminem Torches Diddy On New Album, References Cassie Assault Video, Kid Cudi & Aaron Hall

Eminem unleashed on Diddy on his new album, referencing everything from the recent surveillance footage of Cassie Ventura to the lawsuit against him and Aaron Hall.

On Thursday at midnight, Em dropped the highly-anticipated The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) album. The project was littered with mentions of Diddy’s sexual assault allegations. Slim Shady dissed the fallen mogul on at least three of the 19 tracks.

On “Antichrist,” Eminem targets Diddy, addressing the CCN video of him chasing his then ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura down the hallway.

“Next idiot ask me is getting his ass beat worse than Diddy did ******,” Em raps, censoring Ventura’s name. “But on the real, though/She prolly ran out the room with his f#####’ d####/He try to field goal punt her, she said to chill (No/Now put it back in my ass and get the steel toe.”

He also mentions allegations detailed in Ventura’s lawsuit against Diddy on “Bad One” featuring White Gold: “The f###### bomb with the puffy on/I’m blowing up for Kid Cudi’s car/In front of his house where all his buddies are.”

Elsewhere on “Bad One”, Eminem references Liz Gardner’s claims that Diddy and Aaron Hall took turns raping her in the early 1990s

“This sounds like something that Puff would do,” he raps. “At the party with Aaron Hall ’cause I just love to f### with you.”

Eminem calls Diddy out again over the sexual assault allegations on “Fuel” with J.I.D. He then implies the Death Row Records boss was responsible for the deaths of The Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur.

Joe Biden Mocks “Felon” Donald Trump After Kamala Harris Gaffe

Donald Trump was quick to react after Joe Biden mixed up the names of Kamala Harris and Trump but the President clapped back.

On Thursday (July 11), Biden took questions from the press at a NATO summit in Washington D.C. He was asked whether he had any doubts about Kamala Harris taking over if necessary.

“I wouldn’t have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president if she wasn’t qualified to be president,” Biden replied.

Trump immediately jumped on social media to mock his rival, quoting Biden and adding, “Great job, Joe!”

However, Biden responded with a reference to Trump’s felony convictions. He shared Trump’s post on X (Twitter), writing, “By the way: Yes, I know the difference. One’s a prosecutor, and the other’s a felon.”

During the NATO summit, Biden addressed the concerns over his age and calls to stand down, confirming he will push ahead with his re-election bid.

“I’m not in this for my legacy. I’m in this to complete the job I started,” Biden declared. “I’m determined on running, but I think it’s important that I allay fears by letting them see me out there.”

Biden also dismissed fears over his health and the claim that he goes to bed at 8 p.m.

“My schedule has been full bore,” he explained. “So if I slow down and I can’t get the job done, that’s a sign that I shouldn’t be doing it, but there’s no indication of that yet — none.”

Serena Williams Taunts Drake & Crip-Walks To “Not Like Us” At 2024 ESPYs

Serena Williams and Drake may have once enjoyed a close relationship, but that didn’t stop the tennis superstar from roasting the OVO founder at the ESPYs.

On Thursday evening (July 11), Williams delivered a rip-roaring six-minute monologue while hosting the 2024 ESPY Awards. She kicked off with a bang, taking aim at Drake and offering advice following his epic battle with Kendrick Lamar.

“If I’ve learned anything this year, it’s that none of us… not a single one of us, not even me, should ever pick a fight with Kendrick Lamar,” she began. The song “Not Like Us” began to play, and the Compton-raised sporting legend crip-walked to the track.

Williams continued with another dig at Drake and some more crip-walking. “He will make your hometown not like you,” she added. “The next time Drake sits courtside at a Raptors game, they’re gonna Forest Gump him, seats taken…”

Serena Williams heaped praise on “Not Like Us” during a panel discussion at Essence Fest in New Orleans earlier this month. “I love that song,” she said. “It’s like the hit of the summer. When they play that jam, I’m jamming. That jam is jamming.”

Drake and Serena Williams were rumored to have dated starting in 2011, although they never confirmed their relationship. The speculation ended in 2017 when Williams married Alexis Ohanian months after welcoming their first child.

In 2022, Drake dissed Williams’ husband on the song “Middle of the Ocean,” calling him a groupie. However, Ohanian took it as a compliment, declaring himself “the best groupie for my wife & daughter.”

Nonetheless, K. Dot was unimpressed and warned Drake, “Better not speak on Serena,” in “Not Like Us.”

Eminem Saved Some Surprises For “The Death Of Slim Shady” Album

Eminem‘s latest album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), has arrived. Released at the magical hour of midnight ET on Friday (July 12), the project marks a significant chapter in the Academy Award-winning MC‘s career, symbolizing a farewell to his infamous alter ego, Slim Shady.

The album delves into themes of self-reflection, growth and the duality of his identity, offering listeners a deeper understanding of the man behind the persona. With a mix of pop culture-flavored lyrics and a bevy of diverse beats, Eminem showcases his proven lyrical prowess and storytelling ability, maintaining his status as one of Hip-Hop’s most influential artists.

Hours before its release, Em tweeted some instructions for his ever-loyal Stans: “Public service announcement: the ‘death of slim shady’ is a conceptual album, therefore, if you listen to songs out of order they might not make sense. Enjoy.”

Eminem originally announced the follow-up to 2020’s Music to Be Murdered By in late April.

The first single, “Houdini,” featured Eminem’s signature rapid-fire delivery and complex rhyme schemes as he explored themes of escapism and reinvention, drawing parallels between the legendary escape artist and Eminem’s own career. “Houdini” has been praised for its clever wordplay and intricate production, demonstrating Eminem’s ability to remain relevant in an ever-evolving music landscape. The song’s energetic tempo and catchy hook make it a standout track, amassing more than 228 million streams on Spotify alone.

“Tobey,” the album’s second single, took a more reflective approach, delving into the challenges and pressures of fame. Named after Spider-Man actor Tobey Maguire, the track uses his experiences in Hollywood as a metaphor for Eminem’s own journey in the music industry. The song’s introspective lyrics and mellow beats provide a stark contrast to the more aggressive tone of “Houdini,” showcasing Eminem’s versatility as an artist. ”

The album also includes a sequel to “Guilty Conscience” featuring Dr. Dre, which appeared on 1999’s The Slim Shady LP. The song included a crude reference to former Pump It Up! host Dee Barnes, who Dr. Dre assaulted in 1991. As he rapped in 1999, “That’s what I did, be smart, don’t be a retard/You gonna take advice from somebody who slapped Dee Barnes?/What you say?/What’s wrong? Didn’t think I’d remember?”

The new version doesn’t acknowledge the assault but does address his use of the word “retarded” and finds Slim Shady and Marshall Mathers swapping conflicting verses.

Druski Skit Trends After Jonathan Majors’ Viral Reaction To Meagan Good & Michael Ealy Hug

Druski has responded to the touchy-feely interaction Michael Ealy and Meagan Good recently shared that has promptly caused social media users to compare Jonathan Majors’ reaction to one of the comedian’s skits.

The interaction between the two took place at the PowerPlayers Mix & Mingle event in Los Angeles that Good attended with Majors. Footage of a photo-op from the event went viral after social media users began reacting to Ealy greeting Good by scooping her off of her feet with a hug, to which appeared to cause her to shriek with excitement.

The video caused users to speculate further after it appears as though Ealy failed to dap-up Majors after posing for a photo with him and Good and Los Angeles artist D Smoke and his partner.

Comedian and creator of the “85 South Show,” Karlous M, also reacted to the video in a series of tweets, the first of which he wrote, “This n###a disrespectful.”

“Hug my girl, pick her up and then don’t acknowledge me… yikes,” a user on Twitter (X) wrote in a tweet containing the video.

In another followed up in another tweet he added, “I had to put my phone down and walk away when I saw it,” in response to a user suggesting they would’ve tweaked if it had been their girl.

Though sources claim that Majors and Ealy spoke for a prolonged period prior to his interaction with Good, users immediately began revisiting and comparing the clip to the insecure boyfriends skit Druski shared last year. The skit in question features comedian Ben Da Don in which the Coulda Been Records CEO looks on in a similar fashion as his girlfriend hugged on another man far little too closely.

Users even began comparing the facial expressions the two exhibited in the videos, claiming the look on Majors’ face accurately mirrored the artificial rage and jealousy Druski hilariously depicts in the skit.

And to make matters even worse, Druski even reacted to the video in a tweet of his own in which he wrote, “WE ALL BEEN THERE BROTHER.”

It’s worth noting that Good is celebrating the release of her new film Divorce In The Black streaming on Amazon, and that she starred in the 2019 film The Intruder alongside Ealy, which is why morale is likely high between the pair. Good also recently spoke highly of her partner, revealing that he makes her feel peace while also vowing to never stray from his side.

Additionally, Druski is seemingly coming out of a messy separation from his rumored girlfriend Rubi Rose, which could explain why he possibly responded to the clip the way he did. It would appear as though things aren’t as they seem, and all is well.

However, if a picture is worth 1,000 words, then the look on Majors’ face in the screenshots trending on social media tell a story that is like double the aforementioned word count.

Former Kodak Black Associate SteveWillDoIt Arrested In Fake Mustache At Universal Orlando

YouTube personality SteveWillDoIt (real name is Stephen Rocco Deleonardis) recently found himself behind bars after a run-in with the law at Universal Orlando.

According to TMZ, the internet star was arrested by the Orlando Police Department on Wednesday (July 10) for trespassing, following a previous ban from the theme park. The Orlando Police said when officers responded to the trespass complaint at Universal Studios, park security revealed Steve had been banned in August for filming content without authorization. Despite the warning, Steve returned, leading to his arrest on a misdemeanor charge of trespassing.

A representative for Steve explained that he was originally banned for bringing camera crews into the park to film videos for his social media pages. Universal Studios also allegedly caught him sneaking in cameras on two other occasions, which eventually led to his ban. Steve’s family revealed that he attempted to disguise himself, sporting an epic mustache that added a bizarre, comedic twist to his mug shot.

Law enforcement sources stated that Steve had to take two mug shots after officers realized the initial photo was taken with the fake mustache. After being released from jail, Steve took to Twitter (X), where he humorously reflected on his brief stint in jail.

“I love jail for a short time,” he posted. “Was an epic time. One day is fun. Lots of good people, good food. Reason I got caught at Universal was for being lazy. I went lazy and it f** me. I could have done what I done in the past and get professional makeup done. This was a lesson to not be a lazy piece of s##t.”

However, Steve’s recent escapades at Universal aren’t the only drama surrounding him. He had a public falling out with rapper Kodak Black after accusing Kodak of attempting to steal his $500,000 Richard Milie watch.

Steve tweeted, “Do rappers make money? Kodak Black just tried to rob me for my Richard Mille. Is every rapper broke? The guy smokes meth, probably insane. Kodak Black is 100% on drugs.”

Although Steve deleted the tweets, the damage was done, sparking a heated exchange. Kodak Black, furious at the accusations, responded vehemently on Instagram Live, denying the allegations and threatening Steve with physical harm.

“Why are you being prejudiced, sir?” Kodak said. “Have you saw me do any drugs? You made a tweet to the whole world like I wasn’t finna get on the internet and say, ‘Oh, SteveWillDoIt is a b####.’ I told you to your face and I threw your s### on the floor.”

Diddy’s Ex Misa Hylton To Release Book Amid Mogul’s Legal Troubles

Misa Hylton is set to release a book about her life. If you don’t know her, you should.

Hylton is one of the most decorated fashionistas and stylists in Hip-Hop. If you recall seeing Timberland boots in R&B videos and singers wearing clothing like the rappers, you’ve probably seen her work. She’s still out here working and kicking up dust.

She’s also one of the mothers of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ children. Justin is her first son. Recently, she revealed that she has a book about her life coming out, which stands on its own because she has an amazing testimony in the culture, I believe.

Her story is intertwined with one of the biggest moguls in music and right now, that mogul is in the midst of a federal investigation by Homeland Security about some extremely heinous crimes. Announcing a book in the middle of all this can be quite polarizing, but it appears she’s going forward with the project regardless.

So where’s the rumor? Apparently, she released an excerpt from the book. If it’s not an excerpt, it’s feeding into the promotion of the book. It reads like a book. And who is she talking about? Diddy, of course. At the bottom of her post, she added a disclaimer to keep all negative or toxic thoughts to yourself.

Will that happen? I’m not sure, to be honest. But I am certain somebody had something slick to say. But look at this part:

“My Life Story
My experience
Beside every Bad Boy was a Bad gyal!

**Please do not come here with any negativity, instead try praying for all involved.

You cannot erase history and cultural impact. This is also OUR legacy. EVERY single person whose blood, sweat, tears, talent and business acumen went into this movement.

WERE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED WERE YOU NOT INSPIRED??!

btw- I had Justin at 19years old, I turned 20yrs old 7 days later. For a while the internet had my age wrong. I said hey leave it

Stop believing everything on the internet.

Rest in Peace Craig Mack 🤍🕊️”

What do you think of that?

50 Cent’s Festival Stokes Fears Of Alcohol-Induced Chaos In Shreveport

The Shreveport City Council voted against a resolution to modify alcohol laws for 50 Cent’s Humor & Harmony festival. Council members debated Councilwoman Tabatha Taylor’s proposal at a meeting on Tuesday (July 9).

“To suspend certain provisions of Chapter 10 and any applicable provisions of the Shreveport Code of Ordinances and the Shreveport Unified Development Code relative to the sale, dispensing and consumption of alcoholic beverages in connection with the Humor & Harmony Festival, and to otherwise provide with respect thereto,” Taylor’s resolution read.

The city council rejected the resolution in a 5-2 vote. Councilman Gary Brooks was one of the members who opposed Taylor’s efforts to extend the open container zone for 50 Cent’s event.

“I have a problem with who’s gonna serve these drinks,” Brooks said. “How old are these people drinking going to be? Are we promoting them to be outside to drink? Who’s gonna clean up all the trash the next day? I just don’t see this being a good idea at all.”

Taylor and Councilman James Green questioned why Humor & Harmony created more cause for concern than Mardi Gras and other events in Shreveport. Taylor claimed she did her due diligence and spoke to law enforcement before introducing her resolution.

“I’m not going to go over here and put anything on here that has not been properly vetted,” she said. “So, you can vote it up or down. But just let the record reflect that we have done this 215+ times since 2010. And this right here is not that different. There is a proposed plan.”

Humor & Harmony is scheduled to be held on August 8-11. 50 Cent’s festival will feature comedy, music, a car show and a celebrity basketball tournament. Humor & Harmony is 50 Cent’s first major event in Shreveport since G-Unit Studios set up shop in the city.

Beastie Boys “Sabotage” Chili’s Restaurant Over Unauthorized Use Of “Ill Communication” Hit

The surviving members of the Beastie Boys—Adam “Ad-Rock” Horowitz and Michael “Mike D” Diamond”—along with the estate of the late Adam “MCA” Yauch are suing restaurant chain Chili’s.

In court docs viewed by AllHipHop, the executor of the estate, Yauch’s widow Dechen, Diamond, Horowitz and Brooklyn Dust Music are named as plaintiffs. They claim Chili’s used the 1994 Ill Communication single “Sabotage” and created characters similar to the ones in the Spike Jonze-directed video to use on its social media without their permission.

“Commencing at some time unknown to plaintiffs but, they are informed and believe, no earlier than November 2022, Brinker produced, sponsored, and encouraged the creation and posting on social media of videos to promote Brinker’s ‘Chili’s’ restaurants that included musical compositions and sound recordings that were used without the permission of the rights owners,” the court docs explain. “One such video used, without Plaintiffs’ permission or consent, significant portions of the musical composition and sound recording of ‘Sabotage’ (the ‘Unauthorized Chili’s Video’).

“Further, Brinker synchronized Plaintiffs’ ‘Sabotage’ musical composition and sound recording with other visual material in the Unauthorized Chili’s Video, in which three characters wearing obvious 70s-style wigs, fake mustaches, and sunglasses who were intended to evoke the three members of Beastie Boys performed scenes depicting them ‘robbing’ ingredients from a Chili’s restaurant intercut with fictitious opening credits, in ways obviously similar to and intended to evoke in the minds of the public scenes from Plaintiff’s well-known Official ‘Sabotage’ video.”

Before Adam “MCA” Yauch’s 2012 death, he made it clear he didn’t want Beastie Boys music used to sell products, something the suit points out as well. It continues, “Use of the ‘Sabotage’ sound recording, music composition and video was all without permission; the plaintiffs do not license ‘Sabotage’ or any of their other intellectual property for third-party product advertising purposes, and deceased Beastie Boys member Adam Yauch included a provision in his will prohibiting such uses.”

Diamond, Horowitz and the Yauch estate are seeking to block Brinker from any further infringements and collect “an award of statutory damages … pursuant to the Copyright Act in an amount in each case of not less than $150,000 for the willful infringement of the Beastie Boys Musical Composition, and the Beastie Boys Sound Recordings or … actual damages and profits with respect to each of the foregoing copyrights as permitted under the Copyright Act, in an amount to be determined at trial.”

Beastie Boys won a $1.7 million judgement against Monster Beverage in 2014 for using the band’s music without permission. As previously mentioned, a provision in Yauch’s will prevents Beastie Boys’ music to promote any third-party products in commercials.
