JR Apparel, the owner of the Members Only brand, filed a lawsuit against Drake’s company Away From Home Touring in New York on Tuesday (June 11). According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, JR Apparel sued the OVO star for using the phrase “Members Only” on his tour merchandise. Billboard was the first to report on the case.
“Away From Home sold, offered for sale and/or advertised a t-shirt bearing JR Apparel’s MEMBERS ONLY mark on the front of the t-shirt at Drake’s ‘It’s All A Blur Tour’ (the ‘Infringing T-shirt’), including in this judicial district,” JR Apparel’s lawyers wrote.
JR Apparel accused Drake of trademark infringement, unfair competition and trademark dilution. The company sent a letter to Live Nation about the infringing t-shirts on April 1.
“Between April 3, 2024, and June 6, 2024, JR Apparel and Away From Home attempted to resolve their differences amicably,” the lawsuit noted. “However, no resolution was achieved.”
Drake released a track titled “Members Only” in 2023. JR Apparel claimed he created confusion by putting the song’s title on his tour merch.
“JR Apparel also asserted in the April 1st Letter that ‘the fact that ‘Members Only’ is a song on Drake’s album ‘For All the Dogs’ does not obviate the likelihood of confusion or give Live Nation and/or Drake license to use our client’s MEMBERS ONLY Marks in such a confusing manner, particularly on or in connection with apparel items,” the company’s lawyers argued.

Kai Cenat’s June 10 broadcast broke the record for North American viewership with 712,600 peak concurrent viewers. The livestream had 4.95 million unique viewers across 11.5 hours.
Previously, Ninja’s Fortnite stream with Drake in 2018 peaked with 644,800 concurrent viewers. Spanish streamer Ibai Llanos holds the all-time record with 3.44 million viewers for his boxing event in 2022.
In addition to Kevin Hart and Druski, Kai Cenat’s “Sleepover Stream” also featured a surprise FaceTime appearance by NBA legend LeBron James. Clips from the livestream have amassed over 7 million views on Cenat’s YouTube channel.

Ray J recently sat down with Shannon Sharpe for the ex-NFL player’s Club Shay Shay podcast. One part of the conversation included Ray reflecting on his early sexual experiences.
The official Club Shay Shay social media accounts shared a clip of Ray J talking about “dating” older women as a teenager. Shannon Sharpe questioned the now-43-year-old entertainer about those encounters.
“Was it the allure of an older woman, it was the fact that somebody was like 15, 20, 30 years older than you? What was your attraction?” Sharpe asked.
Ray J admitted to being with a 34-year-old woman when he was only 14 years old. Shannon Sharpe then laughed as Ray recalled an adult woman bathing him at the time.
In response, journalist Ernest Owens blasted Shannon Sharpe for promoting that segment. Owens accused the First Take commentator of trivializing the sexual assault of a minor.
“I’ll say this and move on, but I seriously can’t stand to watch or hear another thing about this Club Shay Shay show again,” Ernest Owens tweeted.
He also wrote, “Shannon Sharpe doesn’t address this with concern, and instead marketed this clip on the show’s Instagram as ‘dating older women – Ray J shares his experience.’ A 14-year-old isn’t ‘dating’ a 30-year-old. It’s called grooming. It’s called molestation. It’s called sexual abuse.”
A media war is brewing between Stephen A. Smith and Peter Rosenberg. The public spat stems from commentary about WNBA star Caitlin Clark.
“That’s why Stephen A. is catching the button because he is jumping in on this train of Caitlin Clark’s not being treated fairly by the world,” Peter Rosenberg stated on Hot 97. “This whole idea that if Caitlin Clark isn’t propped up the right way then it’s not right for the sport. If that’s your take, maybe you don’t really care about the sport and shouldn’t be giving an opinion about it.”
Stephen A. Smith got wind of Peter Rosenberg’s comments and fired back at theEbro in the Morning co-host on his YouTube channel.
“What? You the White boy now that’s gravitating to Black folks?” Smith asked. “You’re on a station, they playing Hip-Hop music, that makes you down now? You think you know us better than me?”
The First Take commentator also questioned why Rosenberg didn’t call him directly to discuss the situation. Smith then claimed Rosenberg’s Hot 97 colleague Ebro Darden as well as his radio rivals DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God would’ve picked up the phone.
“What kind of b####### is that?” Smith continued. “You trying to gain favor with a different community? What is it? When did I sit up there and try to prop Caitlin Clark up as some victim? I’m talking about the marketing of women’s basketball across the globe.”
Kodak Black fans think he’s returned to heavy drug use, just months after claiming he dramatically reduced his Percocet intake.
The Pompano Beach, Florida rapper turned 27 on Tuesday (June 11). He hopped on Instagram Live to celebrate with his fans. He thanked them for their “undying unwavering” support throughout his “constant b#######,” his legal issues and jail spells.
“I love my fans ‘cause y’all special as f###,” he said. “Thank you for all the love.”
However, fans in the live chat were concerned for his health, with Black bizarrely panting, making other odd sounds and rambling incoherently. Some debated whether he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol, while others felt certain he was “tweaking.”
“Y’all watching a man self-destruct,” one person wrote, while another shared,” This is actually sad.”
At one point, fans questioned if Black had fallen asleep after he appeared to doze off. He turned the camera off but continued streaming while snoring could be heard in the background.
In another Instagram Live, Kodak Black dropped abruptly to knock out some push-ups. He also read fans’ comments about him being on drugs, although he didn’t say whether he was using. “Whatever he on I don’t want none,” a fan said while another person questioned if he was on cocaine.
In April, Kodak Black announced, “I never been this happy in my life,” after reducing his Percocet dosage. “I remember a point in my life when I was doing a lot of Percs. I’m proud of myself.”
According to Kodak Black, he was a much heavier user before he went to jail. “I was taking bro at least 100 Percs. Bro my average was 40 Percocets.”
Juvenile is being celebrated for one of his biggest hits as New Orleans officially declared June 11, 2024, as “Back That Azz Up” Day.
The recognition of the iconic anthem coincided with the 25th anniversary and a nationwide tour. New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell issued a proclamation to mark the significance of the song.
“I really wasn’t keeping up with the dates until one of my guys educated me,” Juvenile said. “It’s crazy. It’s great to have all these accolades but it’s better to enjoy it with your family and the guys who made it happen. I really wasn’t expecting it.

Karlissa Saffold is calling on Kim Kardashian to intervene and get Blueface and Chrisean Rock out of jail.
Rock was dramatically arrested earlier this week on a felony warrant while supporting Blueface in court. Blue’s mother, Karlissa Saffold, took to Instagram on Tuesday, pleading with Kim Kardashian to use her platform to free the incarcerated couple.
“Can you please get my grandson parents out of Jail!!!” Saffold wrote on her IG Story.
In a follow-up post, Saffold denied responsibility for Chrisean Rock’s arrest. “My son and his BM know dam well I ain’t called no cops,” she wrote. “So if that was your reason for calling them God will definitely show the world you playing with the right one.”
In an Instagram Live, Saffold addressed her heated row with Blueface’s father about who should look after their grandchild following Rock’s arrest.
“If Chrisean wouldn’t have left the order for Marsh to get the baby, I do not believe that Jonathan would have left the baby there,” Saffold said. “But he did show his ass, like he didn’t feel like babysitting.”
According to Saffold, Blueface’s dad should have stepped up, knowing both Chrisean Rock Jr.’s parents were behind bars.
