Slaughterhouse “Couldn’t Move Forward” Because Of Joe Budden Claims KXNG Crooked

For years, Slaughterhouse fans have been clamoring for the group to make a return or at least release their vaulted Glass House album.

The group was formed in 2008 by four of the hardest pens in hip-hop: Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, KXNG Crooked, and Royce Da 5’9”. They dropped their self-titled debut studio album in 2009, and Welcome To: Our House three years later. The group dissolved when KXNG Crooked announced his departure from the group in 2018.

However, over the years fans have called for the rap supergroup to reunite. At various times, the group’s members have discussed the possibility of a Slaughterhouse comeback but to no avail. They disagree on the reasons for the split in the first place and cannot agree about any possible future.

The topic returned to the forefront recently when Crooked and Ortiz announced their new project: The Rise And Fall Of Slaughterhouse. The other half of the group were vocal about their disapproval, but Crook says they’re not telling the whole story. During a recent episode of The Bootleg Kev Podcast, Crook claimed Royce is straight-up lying.

“Put yourself in the fans shoes for a minute,” he says in the clip. “You’ve been waiting on one of your favourite groups in the world to drop an album for 10 years.”

Crook Says Royce Is Lying

He detailed the work he put in behind the scene to bring Slaughterhouse back together again. “It’s not happened in 10 years,” he declared. “So you’re telling me you want me to wait again and then I saw something where Royce said that we weren’t waiting on anybody… that’s a lie.”

He added, “So I need to address all this stuff because whenever they say that I just come back with the truth. You can attack my character my integrity, you could try to assassinate it and say that I’m a liar and I’m doing this for money and all that s###.”

“We started Slaughterhouse” Waiting On Joe Budden

He also blamed Joe Budden for delaying any new music as he was signed to another label when Slaughterhouse inked their deal with Shady Records. “We started Slaughterhouse in the early days waiting on Joe [Budden],” he said. He then explained why Budden is left off of Eminem’s “Session One,” unlike the rest of Slaughterhouse. Budden’s label called Shady, informing them they needed clearance for Budden to appear on the song. “All of us supposedly free agents to sign this deal with Shady, and come to find out Joe was on the paperwork,” he said. He added that Budden, “said that they forged his signature,” and denied it was him. The group was then “put on the shelf” during Budden’s legal dispute with Amalgam Digital Label. “We were waiting on Joe because we couldn’t move forward, and that took months,” he added. Watch the clip below.

Joe Budden and Joel Ortiz went at it on Instagram Live after the new project was announced. The argument came to a head when Budden said “Joell, that album can suck my dick, are you kidding me? You want people to listen to this clown show?” Ortiz responded, “N-gga, suck MY dick! Don’t go there, don’t do that,” and promptly left the conversation.

Coast Club, the Rise of the Next SoCal Vibration Curators

Southern California is well known as the home of great artistic talent, producing many big names in the music and entertainment industry. This includes dynamic singing duo Coast Club, which is now taking over the global music scene. Their diversity, unique sound, and energetic performances are helping them cement their place in the industry while working and performing in top clubs across the US and the globe.

Coast Club has held headlining residencies across the US and Asia over the last seven years, DJing at world-renowned clubs like Elia Beach, Las Vegas; Hakkasan, Las Vegas; Bone Club, Pattaya, Thailand; and Catwalk Disco, Guangzhou, China. They have also worked with Insomniac Records, Warner Music, and have their own radio show on Insomniac Radio titled “Beach Bass Radio.”

According to Trevor Shawn and Ace Future, the voices behind Coast Club, one of the things that inspired them to start the band was to share their love for music with the rest of the world. The two enjoyed listening to different genres growing up, which led them to music production and DJING. They have now made it their mission to spread positivity and empower others through their performances and various songs.

Trevor and Ace have composed and released many songs, including “Better Together,” “Stay Here With You,” featuring Cat Clark, and other club remixes. They also released a collaboration with Blenders Eyewear in 2020, which sold out worldwide.

“Music is a powerful tool of communication that helps us interact and connect with others,” says Trevor. Together with his friend Ace, they spread love through their songs and share their life stories with the rest of the world. Trevor says their goal as a band is to continue giving their audience timeless music, create beautiful memories, and show everyone that nothing should hold you back from your dreams and aspirations.

Initially, when they started their journey, Coast Club was a trio, and they were known to the world as DJ powerhouses. In less than a year after making their debut, they had gained worldwide recognition performing at several clubs and producing many great hits. Coast Club has released successful remixes for Hayden James, Lauv, and THEY, among others.

However, in 2018, the band faced a major challenge that threatened their journey. One of their bandmates quit to pursue a different path, and it was quite difficult for Trevor and Ace to adapt. At the time, they had an entire summer’s worth of shows booked and tons of new music, which they were preparing to release, and one of their members quitting put a significant strain on the band.

While it was challenging, Trevor and Ace didn’t let this dictate their future. They rebranded to Coast Club, and by merging their west coast/SoCal and coastal lifestyles, Coast Club gave rise to a new vibration that is now redefining the music industry. They have launched a side project, Motel Margarita, a traveling pool part series coupled with their signature margarita mix and merch line. Coast Club is also looking to expand its music careers, do more tours, and release new singles. In the coming years, Trevor says their goal is to produce and release 6–8 songs a year.

He then emerges from the back seat armed with several shoeboxes. Another clip shows the same man placing the boxes in a different vehicle and driving off. The final piece of the puzzle reveals the man delivering food to a residence.

Fabolous Says Return My Stuff Or I’m Calling The Cops

With receipts in hand, Fab warned the perpetrator to return the items or face the long arm of the law.

“Yesterday afternoon a DOOR DASH DELIVERY GUY bringing a order to someone else in NEW JERSEY decided to STEAL me & my Son’s sneakers & clothes out of my car !!!” Fabolous explained in the caption.

“I’m giving the opportunity here & now to whoever this dude is to return the stuff stolen,” he began. “I will take it back with no consequence, & let it slide. IF NOT, i have plenty of video footage, the delivery car info, the Door Dash pick up info & even will reach out to door dash & get all information involved with the driver/vehicle… If you know this guy or this is your family or friend u should holla at him to return it ASAP. YALL CAN DM ME & this will be handled & left as a mistake or opportunity.”

Lil Durk Celebrates His Metaverse Takeover On The NASDAQ But…There’s Always A But.

Lil Durk is one of the biggest stars ever at this point. And he’s only getting bigger. For today, in New York City, he made an appearance at the NASDAQ. Right there in Times Square! We were one of the outlets that was out there representing. Shout out to Slops!

There was some legit press, however, every media outlet is not a real media outlet. And every journalist is not a real journalist. Somebody decided that they were going to break complete protocol as a professional and bumrush Lil Durk in an effort to get a picture with him. She got the picture, but she disrupted the entire press conference, forcing Lil Durk‘s team to whisk him away. After she did that, other journalists decided they were going to try to get their picture as well. Most failed, but some did.

But, this is really a big moment for bro. He was announcing his foray into the metaverse and we should have been able to speak to him about more than “body counts” or “beefs.” That is what WE do. This is huge news, but we did not get a chat with Durkio. We DID get pictures and a bit of video.

Our homie T @iamcomplex got the goods before the event was ended abruptly!

Chris Catlin Is a Versatile Artist You Should Have On Your Radar

Chris Catlin is an artist who’s coming for the throne in 2022. As a versatile artist on the rise, Chris Catlin is no stranger to making good music. He knows what it takes to make music that is fun, meaningful, and easy to vibe to all at the same time. With his latest music, has been making an enticing blend of Hip-Hop and R&B with a taste of the Caribbean since 2018, and he’s back with his latest smash, ‘OtherSide.’ ‘OtherSide,’ a recounting of the story of loss through the eyes of a woman traveling the same trip, was inspired by the grief of his own father’s death.
When asked about one reason he’s passionate about music and what excites him, Catlin explained, “It speaks to your soul. I can listen to a song in a completely different language, not knowing a single word but still have that song on repeat.”

“And that song can make me feel exactly what it’s meant to, without even knowing a word,” he continued. “That’s what I love about music. it’s all about feeling for me.”

Chris is a true artist by definition. He’s able to think positively about the mourning process as a result of his profound meditation on his personal and professional experiences, resulting in a song with invitingly warm vocals and mellow beats. Chris converts the sad into good, the sadness into hope, and the agony into joy, dripping with meaning and leading to a route of escapism to liberate oneself from the mourning process.
With his latest release “OtherSide,” it’s easy to hear his influences.
“I grew up in the Caribbean so that lifestyle and the culture being so musically driven has a clear impact on my sound,” Catlin said. “My dad was also an amazing guitar player growing up so I was always influenced by that.”

Chris’ music has always had Dance/Afrobeat influences, despite the fact that he was born in the Cayman Islands and moved to Florida when he was eleven years old. On this tune, however, his style is significantly more nuanced, as the subject matter necessitates a more spiritual approach to the songwriting process than his regular work. Chris listens to jazz, country, Hip Hop, and a variety of other genres, and is influenced by dancehall singers such as Collie Buddz and Popcaanhe. He also listens to jazz, country, Hip Hop, and a variety of other genres. That is evident in all of his songs, as he explores the wide range of musicians with whom he has shared his life.
“I have a few projects in the works,” Catlin says of what’s next. “A reggae project that I’m excited about.”
It’s safe to say that Chris Catlin is working on new music this year, and if it’s anything like his recent releases, then audiences are in for a treat!

Fabdon Is the Next Biggest Hip-Hop Artist Out of New York City

Hip-hop has something about it that makes it more than just a music genre of music. Besides giving the artist the creative liberty to play with different elements, hip-hop has also managed to preserve its original magic even today. With the advent of technology and digitalization, hip-hop has been redefined by numerous contemporary artists. The name that stands out among them is Fabdon. The rapper shot to fame in 2012, storming the hip-hop scene in NYC for a couple of years until his career took a backseat. Now he is back to resume from where he left. Fabdon is now better and wiser than ever before and ready to fire up the stage again. Here’s his unique story to stardom.

Fabdon started his journey in 2012 in Southside Jamaica, Queen, in NYC, the cradle of hip-hop. Several popular hip-hop artists were blowing up on the scene back then, but Fabdon managed to stand out with his unique take on the genre and his distinct style. He soon started being recognized in the music scene, with multiple established professionals seeing his potential.

Fabdon’s career started to soar in the NYC hip-hop industry. This went on for a couple of years, and Fabdon landed a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sign with DJ self for a deal with Power 105.1 radio. Just when Fabdon thought his career would be reaching new heights, he ended up hitting rock bottom after being wrongly indicted in a criminal trial. Fabdon managed to come out clean from the trial and was set free in 2016. In the meantime, DJ Self got one of Fabdon’s contemporary rappers to sign the deal, who was also Fabdon’s long-time rival.

This loss of opportunity did not bother Fabdon much because he was confident in his talent. He was geared up to start again from where he left, but unfortunately, at the same time, Fabdon faced another trial for a fraud case, and this time he ended up in prison for three years. During this sudden break from his career, Fabdon came to know realized that he had to take the reins of his career on his own after he was released from prison.

Since then, Fabdon started honing his skills in prison. He read books, spent more time with his mother, and made every effort to be wiser and better at his craft. He wanted to refrain from making the same mistakes he initially made as a newbie in the industry who lacked experience navigating the space. After his release at the beginning of 2020, Fabdon knew he was going to return to the music scene with a vengeance. However, this time also, his luck did not favor him.

Coming out of prison, Fabdon had to deal with the restrictions imposed due to the onset of the pandemic. Even under such challenging circumstances, Fabdon managed to shine. He signed a deal with DJ Self in the second week of his release and appeared on Power 105. By the third week, he was kicking freestyle with King of Brooklyn. Fabdon has more to offer the industry, so he shaped his long-awaited dream of starting a record label into reality.

Currently, Fabdon is the owner of TDF (The Don Familia), a new record label that intends to introduce more budding talents to the industry. Apart from this, Fabdon has more exciting plans for the future, and this time, he is all set to accomplish them.

Jay-Z & Damon Dash Working On Settlement In ‘Reasonable Doubt’ Legal Beef

Jay-Z might settle his lawsuit against former business partner Damon Dash.

According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Jay-Z’s lawyer Alex Spiro informed a judge about the two sides discussing a settlement. Hov sued Dame Dash for allegedly trying to mint the legendary rapper’s Reasonable Doubt album as an NFT.

“The parties are in the process of meeting and conferring to determine whether they can reach an agreement that would obviate the need for [Roc-A-Fella Records, Inc.] to file the motion [for a permanent injunction],” Spiro wrote. “And the parties are also in the process of meeting and conferring to determine whether they can reach a settlement agreement that would resolve this case.”

Spiro noted he was authorized to send the letter on behalf of Dame Dash and GoDigital Records, LLC. If Jay-Z and his Roc-A-Fella co-founder can’t reach a settlement, Hov plans to pursue a permanent injunction against Dame Dash.

“Plaintiff Roc-A-Fella Records, Inc. intends to file a post-discovery motion for summary judgment seeking entry of a permanent injunction preventing defendant Damon Dash from altering in any way, selling, assigning, pledging, encumbering, contracting with regard to, or in any way disposing of any property interest in the album Reasonable Doubt, including its copyright and including through any means, such as auctioning a non-fungible token (NFT) reflecting, referring, or directing such interest,” Spiro wrote.

Jay-Z, Dame Dash and Kareem “Biggs” Burke founded Roc-A-Fella in 1995. Dame Dash has been trying to sell his stake in the label, which he claimed was the real reason for Hov’s lawsuit.

Loco Ink on How Digitalization has Impacted Music Industry

Records, cassettes, and CDs are becoming sentimental tokens of the past as digitalization shapes the future of music. The limitless world of digitalization has transformed music not just for listeners but also for artists and the music industry as a whole. Here, musician Loco Ink (Evan R Salinas) shares his insights on how digitalization has impacted the entire music industry.

The rise of streaming

According to Loco Ink, the power of music streaming platforms cannot be understated. The rise of Spotify and its ability to build an entire movement around the culture of digital music has shown what an immense impact digitalization can have. Streaming platforms such as Apple Music and Spotify have become dominating corporate entities thanks to the popularity of digital music.

Accessibility

Evan states that one of the greatest impacts of digitalization has been the freedom and accessibility it has afforded to music fans. No matter what device you use or where in the world you travel, digital music allows you to listen to anything, anywhere at any time. Digitalization has also allowed listeners the freedom to access various music tracks independently without having to purchase an album.

The power of the artist

Trying to catch the attention of a music label to make their music heard is becoming a thing of the past for independent musicians. Loco Ink says that music distribution platforms such as SoundCloud have put power back into the hands of artists. With the use of simple software and recording techniques, aspiring artists can release their music digitally and launch an entire music career without ever having to be contracted by a record label.

Given the lightning-fast speed with which the digital world and its advancements have changed the music industry, Loco Ink believes that the power of digitalization is still only just beginning to show us how impactful it can be.

Social Media Is The Best Way Artists Can Find New Fans, According To Iman Bashir

Social media has made it possible for people from all corners of the globe to interact. Musicians have benefitted from this substantially, making it possible to connect with fans and find new ones. Iman Bashir is an entrepreneur and musician, and she knows firsthand how much the internet can help a musician.

First, social media makes it easier for bands and solo artists to find potential listeners. Their music is no longer the only thing they create when they take their brand online. On Twitter, they might simply make tweets about their upcoming releases. However, other platforms like YouTube or TikTok can allow musicians to produce exclusive content for their fans. For example, an artist could make a cover of a popular song, create a sound to go viral on TikTok, or make videos that will appeal to the same type of people who would listen to their music. If people like an artist’s videos, they are more likely to follow them on the platform. This will grow their base, and they’ll be exposed to any new music the artist puts out. “I love finding people to engage with on social media,” said Iman Bashir. “I’m passionate about working with women, so I include this content online. I’ve found a lot of female fans this way.”

The invention of social media has made it easier for fans to connect with brands directly. In the past, it wasn’t easy to get into contact with your favorite celebrity or musician. Now, you can simply comment on their Instagram post or TikTok video. “I want to hear from my fans as often as they want to hear from me!” said Iman Bashir. “Comments make me so happy and give me the drive to keep going.” Songwriters can get feedback from their audience in real-time to figure out what to put out next.

If you’re looking to become a singer or songwriter, Iman Bashir recommends starting on social media ASAP. You never know when some of your music could go viral!

Angela Mazzanti Feels Overwhelmed by the Immense Success of Her Track “We So Mob”

American hip-hop artist and model Angela Mazzanti is setting music streaming platforms ablaze with her hit song titled “We So Mob.” The song officially passed the one billion view mark on the billboard, making Angela one of the youngest artists to reach this milestone. It has also become the artist’s most-listened song of all time across streaming platforms like Vevo, YouTube, Spotify, and others.

Born on May 6, 1991, the rapper, influencer, and model from California is currently signed with Ghostcraft Music after calling it to quits with Cleopatra Records back in 2019. It was a dream come true for Angela Mazzanti when the release of “We So Mob” put her on the music world map, receiving global appreciation from fans. This hit track has been described by listeners as “unique, contemporary, and soothing to the ear.” Another accolade the song has received is “original and born out of deep inspiration.”

When asked about her breakthrough track, Angela Mazzanti states that the song was the culmination of hours of hard work and labor. The History of Hip Hop as Told by Music Composer “Centric” Christopher Louray Mandujan

Hip Hop, there’s something in the name itself that makes you want to get up and start grooving. The cool moves and the hot lyrics make Hip Hop one of the most popular musical genres of our time. Hip Hop has a rich history, an evolutionary story that brings to the fore a picture that’s both profound and important. Hip Hop artist Christopher Louray Mandujan, aka Centric shares his insights.

Hip Hop is a category of music in itself today. But back when it first came into the picture, it was far from the revered form it is today. Centric says, “You have probably heard a lot of people say that hip hop has its soul in the streets. They are right because hip hop was first heard, raw, and free on the American streets in the 70s. It was a moment of the musical zeitgeist. People were beginning to understand their rights and standing up more courageously against the wrongs done to them. It was the time of a cultural revolution, and Hip Hop was at the dead center of it all and driving it to its goal. The economically impoverished classes began to understand that their lack of talent or desire kept them from flourishing. A planned propaganda focused against their growth was required. Artists like DJ Kool Herc, Afrika Bambaataa, Grandmaster Flash, and pioneering recording label EMT (Early Music Technology) took up the cause and set it to music. And the rest, as they say, is history.”

Once out in the open, the free spirit of Hip Hop could not be fettered. And throughout the 80s and the 90s, it continued to cover new ground. Centric says, “More and more people were beginning to connect with hip hop. It was as if it was recording the clarion call of a generation to be free. Free, not from responsibilities but oppression. Hip Hop stood true to its origins and gave people a common ground to vent their angst and find release. The earlier stars gave hope to people like me. They paved the path for us, and all we can do is keep their struggles and goals in our hearts and create music that celebrates freedom.”

Today, the Hip Hop industry brings in several billion dollars, and with artists like Centric, it continues to touch new hearts.

“James Rosemond Story” Podcast Unravels The Controversial Life Of Jimmy Henchman

A new podcast explores the life of former Hip Hop mogul and current inmate James Rosemond, who’s better known as “Jimmy Henchman.”

Unjust Justice: The James Rosemond Story officially launched with the release of two episodes on Tuesday (March 15). The late Michael K. Williams hosts the crime podcast, which will drop episodes on a weekly basis.

Donald J. Sikorski serves as the podcast’s director. Sikorski previously directed the documentary RAP SHEET: Hip Hop and the Cops, which covered the NYPD and FBI’s infamous surveillance of the Hip Hop industry.

Unjust Justice traces its story back to James Rosemond’s days in the streets that led to serving time at Rikers Island as a youth. It also tackles his efforts to go legitimate in the world of Hip Hop, which saw him managing stars such as The Game and Gucci Mane.

“Success rolled in, putting Jimmy firmly at the top of his game,” the Unjust Justice podcast notes. “Jimmy had made it, he had fought back against his tough childhood to become a respectable businessman making millions of dollars a year.”

But Unjust Justice largely delves into the criminal justice system and the drama that surrounded Jimmy Henchman throughout his life. It remembers his role in Hip Hop’s notorious East Coast vs. West Coast feud and 50 Cent’s beef with The Game. And most notably, the podcast examines the legal troubles that resulted in multiple life sentences for James Rosemond.

“In June of 2011, Jimmy was arrested by DEA Agents and US Marshalls, after being on the run for months,” the podcast recalls in a press release. “Jimmy was charged in the Eastern District of New York with what is called The Kingpin Statute. This 13-count indictment alleged that Jimmy was the leader of a nationwide drug organization that was using the cover of his Hip Hop music business and recording studios to transport close to 30 kilos of cocaine a month.”

James Rosemond is currently behind bars serving nine life sentences. He was convicted for running for a drug trafficking organization and ordering the murder of 50 Cent’s associate Lowell Fletcher a.k.a. Lodi Mack.

The mogul-turned-inmate still aims to get out of prison as he claims he was granted clemency by Donald Trump. Although James Rosemond wasn’t on the official list of people pardoned by the former president, Jimmy Henchman contends a president merely must mention the person’s name in public to be granted clemency.

A judge refused to dismiss James Rosemond’s argument in January, so the door remains open for his possible release. His reasoning is unprecedented, but he will be allowed to explore it further in court.

Learn all about the case and much more on Unjust Justice: The James Rosemond Story hosted by the late Michael K. Williams. Episodes are now available to download and stream on platforms such as Amazon Music, Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Stitcher.

Young Dolph Autopsy Report Reveals He Was Shot 22 Times

Young Dolph suffered almost two dozen gunshot wounds in the deadly shooting that claimed his life.

The West Tennessee Regional Forensic Center released an autopsy report for Young Dolph on Tuesday (March 15). The medical examiner found 22 gunshot wounds on the late rapper’s body.

According to FOX 13 in Memphis, the medical examiner identified entrance and exit wounds throughout Young Dolph’s body. The gunshot locations included his abdomen, both arms, chest, chin, face, forehead, right shoulder, right wrist, temple and multiple spots on his back.

Young Dolph, whose real name was Adolph Thornton Jr., was shot and killed in Memphis on November 17, 2021. He was 36.

Cornelius Smith and Justin Johnson face multiple charges, including first-degree murder, for their alleged roles in the shooting death of Young Dolph. Both men pleaded not guilty to the charges in February.

A third man, Shundale Barnett, remains at large after he was mistakenly released from an Indiana jail instead of being extradited to Memphis. Barnett is accused of accessory after the fact for allegedly helping Johnson evade authorities.

Two other men, Devin Burns and Joshua Taylor, have been named persons of interest in the Young Dolph murder case. Police apprehended Burns in February. Taylor hasn’t been arrested.
