DaBaby Apologizes For His HIV/AIDS Comments During Rolling Loud Performance

This week, DaBaby found himself in the crosshairs of social media. The North Carolina-bred rap star born Jonathan Lyndale Kirk is facing criticism for his perceived homophobic comments at the Rolling Loud Miami festival.

“If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of [those] deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up,” said DaBaby at the Hip Hop event.

In addition, DaBaby told the Rolling Loud Miami crowd, “Ladies, if your p#### smell like water, put your cellphone lighter up. Fellas, if you ain’t sucking a n####’s dick in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up.”

The online backlash directed at DaBaby came nearly instantly. Even his “Levitating” collaborator Dua Lipa expressed being “surprised and horrified” by the rapper’s comments. Dua Lipa wrote on Instagram that she stands 100% with the LGBTQ community.

DaBaby has now offered an apology for singling out people with HIV/AIDS during his Rolling Loud Miami performance. The Blame It on Baby album creator took to Twitter to share his mea culpa while also mentioning Black Americans being assaulted by law enforcement officers.

“I tell fans to put a cellphone light in the air y’all start a Million Man March. ✊🏽I told you y’all digested that wrong 🤷🏽‍♂️but I ain’t gone lie I’m impressed. Now show this same amount of support when a racist cop [kills] one of our black ass…YA NOT 😂,” tweeted DaBaby on Tuesday afternoon.

The 29-year-old Interscope recording artist added, “Anybody who done ever been [affected] by AIDS/HIV y’all got the right to be upset, what I said was insensitive even though I have no intentions on offending anybody. So my apologies. 🙏🏽But the LGBT community… I ain’t trippin on y’all, do you. Y’all business is y’all business.”

The nonprofit’s IG gave more information, including the four dates and locations.

DaBaby Gets ROASTED By Lil Nas X’s Dad Over Homophobic Rant

After hearing DaBaby’s homophobic outburst during his Rolling Loud performance, Lil Nas X’s father snaps on the North Carolina rapper.

During his Rolling Loud Miami performance, the “ROCKSTAR” artist said, “If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up.”

He continued his rant and said, “Ladies, if your p#### smell like water, put your cellphone light in the air. Fellas, if you ain’t sucking dick in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up.”

The “Montero” artist’s pops took to social media to address the anti-gay comments. In his Instagram story, captured by @amadijuana, he said “Bruh sit down you had your time.”

https://twitter.com/amadijuana/status/1419890758476312608

The image that Daddy X posted was of his son with DaBaby and played a song that the two artists made together called “Panini.”

The LGBTQ community has taken issue with DaBaby, calling for a boycott of his music.

DaBaby posted a video on his Instagram Live that said that his fans are both gay and straight, believing that if you weren’t at the show, you shouldn’t worry about what was said.

“I wasn’t going on a rant. That’s called a call to action. That’s what that’s called, ’cause I’m a live performer,” he concluded. “I’m the best live performer.”

Mario “Wizzo” Fernandez’s Inspiration For Bitstream Audio

Bitstream Audio’s PulseTrio is an audio interface that allows producers to collaborate regardless of the digital audio workstation (DAW) that they’re using. It’s anticipated to revolutionize and dominate the global music production industry in no time. The man behind the technology is the platinum producer and mixing engineer Mario “Wizzo” Fernandez.

Many people recognize Wizzo for his contribution to the hip-hop industry as a producer and his presence on social media, specifically Instagram.

His career started in 2009 when he became an intern for Actual Eyes Media at Studio City, California. Through his experience at this post-production studio, he built his skills and gained a more thorough understanding of the work of a recording engineer.

A year later, he was given the role of producer and engineer for the Grammy-nominated American rapper Ermias Joseph Asghedom, popularly known as Nipsey Hussle. In the music artist’s mixtape “The Marathon,” Wizzo produced the track “U Don’t Got A Clue.” He also became the executive music producer for the “The Marathon Continues” mixtape, released in 2011.

Through Wizzo’s experience working with Nipsey, his career grew. This allowed him to build a network of producer colleagues, whom he gathers for different projects.

One time, he joined forces with fellow platinum producers Lil Jon and Mike Free. However, he once again had to face the issue of cross-DAW collaboration.

The DAW that Wizzo has mastered using is different from those the other two use. Traditionally, to synchronize workflow with your co-producers with different software, you do file swapping.

This means that you have to go through the rendering process first and upload the audio file to a shared cloud workspace. Other people in the team will then download it and import it to their DAW.

While file swapping works, it’s a time consuming process. Wizzo stated that the time spent on rendering and sharing audio files could be used for actual work. However, since they had different DAWs and learning another software to adjust to each other is inefficient, it’s the best they could do.

It was then that Wizzo realized that a technology that will allow them to collaborate easily regardless of their DAW could be really helpful.

The thing is, there was no such thing in the market. However, with Wizzo’s entrepreneurial mindset, he concluded that he would be the one to make that technology.

This was how the idea for Bitstream Audio came to be. He’s currently in the process of discussing the licensing of the technology with major software and hardware companies.

Thousands have shown their excitement on Instagram for the presale of Bitstream Audio’s PulseTrio. Considering how the audio interface can get audio files from three devices and allow producers to synchronize their workflow regardless of their DAW, it’s no wonder it will be a hit.

In the future, Wizzo aims to bring Bitstream Audio to the global market and create more products to revolutionize the music production industry.

Pharma Bro Martin Shkreli’s Rare Wu-Tang Clan LP Sold By The Feds

A one-of-a-kind album by the Wu-Tang Clan has been snatched from disgraced “pharma bro” Martin Shkreli who bought the album back in 2015!

After two years of being confiscated by the Feds, the United States Government has sold the Wu-Tang Clan album Once Upon a Time in Shaolin, originally purchased by the heartless businessman Martin Shkreli.

The government sold the work of art to an unknown source for an unknown amount.

Shkreli bought the one of the kind 31-track project allegedly for $2 million in 2015 in an auction, but lost it after was later convicted of securities fraud and sentenced to seven years in prison in 2018.

The album was snatched by authorities as a part of a $7.4 million forfeiture judgment from Shkreli’s assets.

Jacquelyn M. Kasulis, the Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York spoke on the sale and said, “Shkreli has been held accountable and paid the price for lying and stealing from investors to enrich himself.”

“With today’s sale of this one-of-a-kind album, his payment of the forfeiture is now complete,” she continued.

In addition to being a criminal, Shkreli is a straight-up foul dude, who has been labeled “Pharma Bro.”

After he acquired the manufacturing license for the drug Daraprim, an antiparasitic medicine for sick people to prevent them from dying from malaria.

He gouged the price from $13.50 per pill to $750 per pill, a difference of 5000 %.

With some of the money he received, he recklessly started buying fantasy gifts, which included the only copy of the seventh studio Wu-Tang album. When RZA found out that Shkreli was the person that bought the LP, he and the rest of the Clan agreed to give “a significant portion of the proceeds to charity.”

Is Royce Da 5′ 9″ Gonna Reunite With Slaughterhouse In Lupe Fiasco & Mickey Factz Battle?

We Wait.

As we wait with bated breath for Royce da 5′ 9″ to respond, the rumors go crazy. If you have been under a rock, you will know that Royce, Lupe Fiasco and Mickey Factz are in a war of words. Now, Lupe and Mickey have recorded songs dissin’ The Detroit Destroyer. Prior to those disses, there was a lot of talk on Instagram, but Royce has yet to respond lyrically. Many think that the song with Mickey, called “Wraith” will take things over the top. The cover art depicts the image of a burning Rolls Royce, specifically the Wraith, and a wraith is “a pale, thin, or insubstantial person or thing” or “a ghost or ghostlike image of someone, especially one seen shortly before or after their death.” As we reported previously, Royce made an ominous comment about nerds ganging up on him and that he had rapper friends too. But it was very sparse. Honestly, nobody quite knows what to make of it.

And this is where the rumors come in! In Mickey’s diss, he mentions the group Slaughterhouse. As you already know, Slaughterhouse composes of Royce, Joelle Ortiz, Crooked I and Joe Budden. They were a super group, a proverbial undefeatable force of lyricists. The only thing that could beat them was themselves. However, I would venture to say that Lupe and Mickey would be willing to take on all comers at this point. This is what Mickey posted to underscore this notion:

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Mickey Factz (@mickey.factz)

That’s neither here nor there, but to say that the digital streets are suggesting that maybe Royce is calling in reinforcements.

Could it be that Crooked I, whom Royce readily admits pushes him to be the best he can be, Joe Budden, who is in retirement but has a huge platform, and Joell Ortiz, the Brooklyn bomber, all reconvene, reunite in this struggle? I don’t wanna get too deep in the woods with this, but this would be amazing! I don’t know that it would be a great look, because certainly Royce is capable of dealing with his own stuff. However, such a lyrical explosion in a pop rap world would be insanity to say the least! Once again, this is all speculation and quite possibly wishful thinking. But when we don’t know anything else, this is what happens! Previously, there was a lot of talk and there was really no need to speculate. It was pretty clear that Mickey was going to say something back to Royce.

Moving right along, Mickey did a live today on Instagram and basically said he is moving on until he needs to do something else. It was a cool conversation overall, but a bit of a downer. I was getting spoiled! Not to say that I want this to be all blood and guts, but everybody in this whole conversation seem to be extremely respectful of each other. So, we understand it will not get out of control. RJ Payne and Ransom are a different story, different animals. They remind me of Clubber Lang in Rocky III.

Clubber Lang GIFs - Get the best GIF on GIPHY
My prediction…

ESPECIALLY RJ. That dude is putting out “content” at a rate and ferocity that is really intimidating. I don’t rap, and I am intimidated! So, for a rapper, I can only imagine that getting in the booth and going at him is not a feasible, or even winnable bout. I am not “super sayin” anybody is scared of them, but that’s a bloodsport nobody is into right now! LOL! I mean, we’re into it, but we do not want to see Royce in that situation. And that’s all respect due!

By the way, some suggested Eminem may be a possibility but most agreed that a pig is more likely to survive a real slaughterhouse!

Usher’s Ex-Wife Tameka Foster Raymond Releases New Memoir

Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Foster Raymond wants to clear up some misunderstandings about her relationship with the R&B star and her son’s tragic 2012 death in a new memoir.

The personal stylist’s new book, “Here I Stand… in a Beautiful State,” drops today (July 27), and features a decade of drama and her story of survival against the odds.

“After several years of contemplating writing about her life, she decided to write a book after having a conversation with three women on a beach in Bali,” a press release reads. “As they spoke, they learned who Raymond’s ex-husband was and they were insistent there was no way she could be who she said she was because his wife had died. They were referring to her near-death experience in Brazil, which has been grossly misreported in the media. After that hilarious and memorable conversation on the beach, Raymond knew she had to write a book. It was time to clear up all the rumors and outright lies about her fashion career, her marriage, and her parenting.”

Promoting the memoir, Tameka explained that “here I stand after going through all the media crap, the divorce, the loss, the grief.

“It’s not all about crying. Readers are going to laugh. Even though there are chapters about death and divorce, this is not a depressing book.”

The book features tales about her style clients, too, including Lauryn Hill, Jay-Z, Timbaland, Ciara, Aaliyah, Chris Brown, and Ginuwine.

She hopes there’s a message for readers: “You spend a little time suffering, you deal with the problem, and then you have to always convert back to a positive space,” she smiles. “Stay in a beautiful state, and the universe and God make sure it’ll all work itself out for you.”

Wack 100 And 6ix9ine Host 3-Hour Talks With Akademiks…

Weird Year

Wack 100 & Tekashi69.

What The GIFs - Get the best GIF on GIPHY

Just when you thought things couldn’t get any stranger, Wack 100 and Tekashi69 have apparently conducted a three hour interview. This interview was done by DJ Academiks, DJ named after a clothing line.

This all started when Tekashi69 trolled Wack 100 after his client and artist Blueface fought in a boxing match recently. Blueface actually won that fight in an impressive fashion for a non-Blueface actually won that fight in an impressive fashion for a non-boxer. Anyway, Wack 100 asked for a meeting with Tekashi69 and requested that his butt buddy DJ Ak facilitate that meeting. What happens next: only the twilight zone gets it. A three-hour interview has allegedly ensued in Miami for a new podcast.

At any rate, the irony was not missed by Mysonne The General. He stated that Wack is a Blood gang member, a triple OG at that, doing a meeting with someone that snitched on other Bloods, New York Bloods but Bloods nonetheless. Furthermore, Takashi is simply the biggest rat in Hip-Hop. Now for a street legend to meet with him, I guess that’s weird. I dunno.

When people say there are no rules, I think that’s what you’re talking about. Again, I really have no dog in this fight and I really truly don’t care, but it is perplexing to say the least. I suppose we just have to wait and see what happens. Either way, I will not be watching three hours of any interview, not this, not anybody!

Lizzo Warns Fans To Give Her Space As Delta Variant Of COVID Sweeps Across U.S.

Lizzo wants her enthusiasts to maintain their distance after a steep increase in COVID-19 cases in the United States thanks to the new Delta variant.

The rapper explained to her fans that she may not be willing to shake hands, hug or take pictures because she is trying to avoid getting sick.

She was clear that her decision had nothing to do with her ego, or because she is a world-famous celebrity.

“I don’t care who you are. You could be the nicest person. You could be vaccinated. You could be quadruple vaccinated,” Lizzo explained. “If you see me, please give me six feet. This s### is coming back. COVID. And people being real sloppy with personal space.

“It’s not you! It’s me. I’m not trying to catch nothing. I don’t even want to catch feelings, b####. You think I’m trying to catch COVID?”

Lizzo then joked and disinfected her phone with some Lysol to make sure COVID didn’t spread through her screen.

“Don’t think, ‘Oh she’s a celebrity, she thinks she’s all that.’ It’s not that booboo. You know what I think I am? Healthy. You know what I think I am? COVID-free. You know what I think I am? Full of vitamin D and vitamin C. You know what I think I am? Safe for my family and friends to be around, and my coworkers and teammates. That’s who I think I am.”

“So if y’all see me in the street, come up on me, want to hug, want to shake my hand, want to kiss me on the cheek, don’t do it. Don’t do it. Cause I ain’t trying to catch this m############ virus that’s coming back. It got way too m############ close. It got WAY… it got THIS m############ close. And I don’t play that. I’m about to be rude. I’m nice, you know what I’m saying? But this virus gonna have me acting up, I’m gonna be mean.”

The 33-year-old rap star got serious for a moment with her fans, begging them to protect themselves as new cases start to soar again.

“I love y’all, and I want y’all to be the same way. Protect yourselves. Wear your masks. And until this is cleared up and we know what the f### this variant is and who it affects — stay safe my friends,” Lizzo concluded.

After Retiring From Music, Logic Announces ‘Bobby Tarantino III’ Comeback Project

When Logic (born Sir Robert Bryson Hall II) dropped his No Pressure album in 2020, he told his fan base that would be his final project. The Maryland-raised rapper insisted he was ready to focus on fatherhood instead of releasing music.

“Officially announcing my retirement with the release of No Pressure executive produced by No I.D. July 24th… It’s been a great decade. Now it’s time to be a great father,” tweeted Logic on July 16, 2020.

That self-imposed withdrawal from the music scene is already done. A little over a year after claiming he was formally retired, Logic is already planning to come back with another body of work this week.

Bobby Tarantino III out everywhere Friday,” tweeted Logic on Monday afternoon. The third installment in the Bobby Tarantino series follows 2016’s Bobby Tarantino and 2018’s Bobby Tarantino II.

Logic has been teasing his official musical comeback over the last several months. He released the “Tired In Malibu” single in April which was followed by “Raddest Dad” in May and “Mafia Music” with Madlib (as MadGic) that same month. In addition, his “Vaccine” music video was published on July 20.

This is not the first time Logic walked back a declaration about his music career coming to an end. In 2017, the Def Jam recording artist claimed his fourth album, YSIV, would be his last LP. However, he went on to release additional projects like 2019’s Supermarket, 2019’s Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, and 2020’s No Pressure.

Logic did manage to secure the second-highest sales week of his career with No Pressure by marketing it as his “retirement” album. That collection debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart with 221,000 units, just behind Everybody which brought in 248,000 first-week units three years prior.

The Platinum-certified Everbody debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. Logic’s discography also includes the #1 album Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and the #1 commerical mixtape Bobby Tarantino II. Seven of his projects made it into the Billboard 200’s Top 10.

Bobby Shmurda Says ‘Shmigos’ Project With Migos Is On The Way

Back in February, Ackquille “Bobby Shmurda” Pollard was finally released from prison after serving nearly seven years. Migos member Quavious “Quavo” Marshall helped the Brooklyn-bred rapper make it home from New York State’s Clinton Correctional Facility.

“He had this dream: a jet, flooded out with his gang, his family, a couple [women] for him. It’s like his birthday today. Whatever he wants to do, we’re doing it,” said Quavo earlier this year.

The Atlanta-based rap star added, “Every time [Shmurda] called my phone, I picked up… Him and Rowdy [Rebel] would call, and whatever they needed, I was there for them.”

Bobby Shmurda, now a free man, made an appearance on Showtime’s Desus & Mero late-night talk show. The interview included the “Hot N####” hitmaker speaking about the long-delayed Shmigos joint project with Migos.

“We got all types of different music coming out,” Bobby Shmurda told Desus Nice and The Kid Mero. “We got that Shmurda s### coming out. We got the Shmigos s### coming out. We got so much s### coming out. It’s going to be a lit summer.”

Before being locked up for conspiracy and weapons possession charges, Bobby Shmurda dropped the Shmurda She Wrote EP via Epic Records in 2014. The 5-track project has since been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Last month, Bobby Shmurda provided free meals and haircuts for underprivileged families in Brooklyn’s The Win Shelter as part of a special Father’s Day charity event. The 26-year-old New Yorker also showed up at this year’s Rolling Loud Miami festival over the weekend. Plus, he is a scheduled performer for Jay-Z’s 2021 Made In America festival in Philadelphia.

Release Date For Kanye West’s ‘Donda’ Album Reportedly Confirmed

Many Kanye West fans were highly disappointed his Donda album did not arrive on Friday, July 23. The project was forecasted to hit DSPs the day after West’s listening event inside Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium on that Thursday night.

A new report by Pitchfork claims an official release date for Donda has been confirmed. A representative for Kanye West apparently informed the music outlet that the rapper’s tenth studio LP will drop on August 6.

Listeners got a taste of what to expect when Kanye West played songs recorded for Donda at the July 22 event in Atlanta. Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, Roddy Ricch, 2 Chainz, Pusha T, Jay-Z, and more artists reportedly make appearances on the album.

Respectfully Justin host Justin Laboy became an unofficial spokesman for Kanye West over the last several weeks. The internet personality was one of the first people to reveal West was close to releasing a new album. On July 23, Laboy also tweeted that Donda would come out next month.

LaBoy tweeted:

KANYE WEST WILL MOVE THE RELEASE DATE OF DONDA TO AUGUST 6TH. THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE ❤️ HE WANTS TO GIVE HIS FANS THE BEST POSSIBLE PRODUCT WITHOUT RUSHING ANYTHING. HE LOVES YALL WITH ALL OF HIS HEART. GOD BLESS 🙏🏽 #DONDA #RESPECTFULLY

@JustinLaboy Twitter

Last week, Kanye West previewed the Donda track titled “No Child Left Behind” in a Beats Studio Buds commercial. U.S. track and field star Sha’Carri Richardson starred in the ad which also announced the “Donda Listening Event” would stream on Apple Music.

Donda will be Kanye West’s first full-length LP since 2019’s Jesus Is King. That Gospel-inspired project debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart with 264,000 album-equivalent units. It went on to win a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album.

Kanye West has scored nine #1 albums on the Billboard 200 chart. His solo efforts Late Registration, Graduation, 808s & Heartbreak, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Yeezus, The Life of Pablo, Ye, and Jesus Is King each peaked in the top spot. Watch The Throne with Jay-Z also went No. 1.

T.I. Faces Backlash For Mentioning Lil Nas X In Defense Of DaBaby’s “Homophobic” Comments

This year’s Rolling Loud Miami festival will be memorable for several reasons, one being DaBaby’s highly-publicized set. The North Carolina native made headlines for what he said during his performance which eventually led to T.I. catching heat as well.

“If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of [those] deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up. Ladies, if your p#### smell like water, put your cellphone lighter up. Fellas, if you ain’t sucking a n####’s dick in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up,” DaBaby told the Rolling Loud crowd.

Critics claimed DaBaby was being homophobic because he was seemingly singling out gay men, particularly ones who may be HIV positive. He later attempted to explain his point by suggesting both heterosexual and homosexual festivalgoers were enjoying his performance at Florida’s Hard Rock Stadium.

https://twitter.com/KingSeanSwae/status/1419479369366507520?s=20

Atlanta-based rap star T.I. then jumped into the conversation. First, the Grand Hustle leader commented on Instagram, “If Lil Nas X can kick his s### in peace… so should DaBaby 🤷🏽‍♂️. #equality.”

After catching backlash online for that IG statement, T.I. took to his own Instagram account to try and add more context to his point about openly gay musician Lil Nas X. Tip’s explanation video caused even more negative reactions.

T.I. said:

Social media’s full of confusion and words are often misconstrued. And to be honest with you, if homosexuals have more rights than heterosexual people just say that. Let’s let that be the law. Is that the law? I just feel like, I respect gays, especially the ones who have the courage and bravery to step out and live in their truth, I respect that… But, I respect it the same way if you’re a heterosexual person, I respect it the same way. So I ain’t even seen what all the hoopla about, some of y’all m############ just be up in arms and fake caring about s### just cause you ain’t got s### going on in your life over here. Ain’t nothing in the world gonna make me hate nobody just because they do something different in the bedroom that I do. It ain’t none of my business.

@troubleman31 Instagram

In addition, T.I. stated:

I got a lot of respect for m############ like Lil Nas X and a m########### like Frank Ocean. A f##### who steps out there and lives their truth, honest with themselves. A lot of you m############ are hiding your truth, that’s the hoe s###… You can’t make me homophobic because I’m proud to be a heterosexual… Just because I am proud of what I am, don’t mean I hate what you are. Period… Ain’t no hate in that, bruh. If I’m proud to be Black that don’t make me hate you because you’re white. If I’m proud to be a man that don’t make me hate you because you’re a woman. Period. For instance, the Lil Nas X s###. The performances and video, man I got a lot of respect for bruh because he had the courage to live his truth, but that s### ain’t for me. I just can’t look at it. But I feel the same way, and I don’t want my children seeing it either… But I still feel the same way about [Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s] “WAP” video. I actually enjoyed the “WAP” video a little bit better, but I still feel the same way.

Normani Defends Cardi B Against Haters Of Her Appearance On “Wild Side”

Normani should be celebrating this week. The R&B singer’s new single “Wild Side” featuring Cardi B became the highest-debuting Hot 100 entry of her career when it opened at #14 on the latest chart.

However, Normani had to spend time yesterday defending Cardi B against people that had a problem with the rapper appearing on “Wild Side.” At one point, Cardi even threatened to stop promoting the collaboration in a now-deleted tweet.

One Twitter user suggested Cardi B should not have been on the original version of “Wild Side” and instead should have been used for a remix. The Bronx-raised entertainer accused those critics of not supporting the song in the first place.

“Same people that [say] this s### is the same people that didn’t buy s###, don’t request on radio, not streaming, not adding no value or numbers to the song but opinions on Twitter for a hit tweet cause hating but keeping up with Cardi [is what’s] in,” wrote Cardi B.

“Can’t imagine this record without you. THAT’S THE TWEET,” responded Normani, before adding, “I don’t think you guys understand how harddddd this woman has gone for me. you have been a champion for me throughout this whole process even when I was freaking out the night before releasing. God don’t play when it comes to His. We good sis.🙌🏾🙏🏾👑👑.”

Eventually, Cardi B backtracked on her threat to not push the song. She showed appreciation to her fans and Normani. The Invasion of Privacy album creator tweeted, “Thank you for all your support when it comes to ‘Wild Side.’ I love and support Normani and always want her to win.”

Normani posted, “I love you always and I’m sure I sound like a creep saying this. I really am forever grateful and couldn’t imagine coming outta hiding after two years with anyone else.🙏🏾🤍 Genuinely one of the sweetest human beings everrr. Thank you for being YOU.”

Waka Flocka Flame Concert Canceled By Indigenous Tribe In Canada

Rapper Waka Flocka Flame has canceled a concert in the village of Oka and is standing in solidarity with the indigenous people of Canada, First Nations of Kanehsatake.

The American chart-topping artist was supposed to perform at the inaugural Oka Kanehsatake Music and DJ Festival on July 31 but took to his social media to express his support for concert being nxed.

His team made the announcement on Ricky D Event’s Instagram with the following caption:

“Waka Flocka is canceled due to the Natives not wanting non-Natives on their territory because of the hurting they are going through. We decided to side with them in solidarity.”

Many Americans are not aware of the atrocities that the First Nation people have suffered at the hands of European settlers in Canada, specifically the Catholic church.

Most recently, there have been over 1000 Indigenous children’s dead bodies found buried on the grounds of multiple Canadian former residential schools, institutions funded and operated by The Vatican.

The children were taken from their homes and their families and forced by the government to attend these schools.

Here are some accounts of this practice that dates back centuries.

“This survivor of Canada’s Indigenous schooling system is recalling the horrors she experienced at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School, where the remains of 215 children were found in a mass grave in May.”

“Back during her time at the Marieval residential school, Carol Lavallee and the other children were not referred to by their names but were given numbers – she was number 39. Carol shared her story in our series Stories of Survival.”

“An imp. BBC film on the abuse that Canada’s indigenous peoples faced at boarding schools. Similar abuses of Native American children took place across 30 U.S. states at 350-plus boarding schools from 1869-1978. Tragically, many children never returned.”

The Atlanta native has not formally made a statement on this. But on his Twitter account, he posted over the last couple of weeks sentiments that are aligned with this decision.

“Live with action and try your best not to live with words… I once heard a saying: practice what you preach #HappySaturday”

“The words mean nothing your actions an my experience explains the truth #iWalkandRunWithGOD

Doja Cat Admits Her “Planet Her” Merchandise Is “Bad” After Backlash

Doja Cat has apologized to fans on social media after they complained about the rap star’s Planet Her merchandise line.

The rap star, real name Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, took to Twitter over the weekend to address the recent backlash after devotees complained about the design and cost of the products.

“the merch (merchandise) is bad. i’m aware. don’t worry,” she tweeted in response to the complaints.

Doja Cat doesn’t seem to have been directly involved with the branded clothing items, as she responded, “i don’t know”, when a fan asked her who had designed them.

The “Kiss Me More” hitmaker promised she will resolve the issue and insisted she “understood” if shoppers objected to paying $35 for one of her hats.

Planet Her – the name of her third studio album – is branded on hoodies, T-shirts, sweatpants, shorts, and hats are currently for sale on the rapper’s own official site, shop.dojacat.com.

Mickey Factz Fires Back At Royce Da 5′ 9″ With “Wraith”!

Mickey Factz.

Mickey Factz has dropped a bomb on Royce da 5′ 9″. These one time friends, have turned into rivals. Reminds me of that song when your idols become arrivals. At any rate, this is formidable and should elicit some kind of response from Royce. Will Royce come back with a song? I doubt it. He does not seem to feel these guys are worthy of a response and has justified it with some stuff about “checking the boxes.” From a Hip-Hop point of view, and based on the fact that both Mick and Royce have done songs together, I can’t wait to see the rationale behind it. Still, I don’t see Royce reply. I hope he does, in the name of the sport of Hip-Hop. Before I continue, give this your ear. Listen carefully like Royce’s “Silence of the Lambda.”

No I’m not about to transcribe what Mickey said in the song, but I will paraphrase. First of all he calls Royce a hypocrite, a talker, and says he skipped the beef with RJ Payne for greener pastures with Lupe. Then that got hot…and then he went over to Mickey. The interesting part is that when he put it on Instagram a lot of rappers waiting weighed in and give their opinions or flame emojis.

Well, if you have not heard it, listen up.

Lupe and Mickey talk…

And then Royce comes with some cryptic talk.

On Twitter, Royce addressed it…kinda…

Maybe Royce is referring to “Malcolm X,” his incredible diss of D12 and 50 Cent.
