When it comes down to Hip-Hop, baseball, and who should really keep it whatever they are trying to do on the mic — few people have been worse than 50 Cent.

Until now … Chicago rapper Lil Durk has totally embarrassed himself in front of his hometown and now the world is clowning him like crazy.

The “Laugh Now Cry Later” rapper was asked to throw the first pitch at the Cubs vs. White Sox game on Sunday, August 8 at Wrigley Field.

He was all prepared to do his thing, dressed down in a custom Cubs’ jersey that said “Smurk” across his back, and prepared to razzle dazzle the crowd.

After standing on the mound, he tossed the ball left of home plate. Doesn’t sound that bad, right?

The ball then traveled way out of bounds; the club’s mascot Clark is running after the ball.

People were cracking up, but so was the controversial rapper. He laughed at the good fun, even reposting a salute from the team’s official Twitter page.

He may have needed the laugh.

Early in the next morning, on Monday, August 9, he gave a shout out to the late King Von. He tweeted at 3:17 AM, “Rip king von happy bday blooda”

He also posted on his Instagram with a series of photos, “Happy birthday blooda your name forever live on real hood legend #kingvon

On Durk’s sixth studio album, The Voice, the two were on the cover art, and on several songs, including a hit called “Still Trappin.’”

Enter Tory Lanez and Cassidy! These two dudes have being going at it for a minute now. If you remember, Tory was caught swiping a few lines from his Philly counterpart. This is in violation of Hip-Hop Code 1, section A. Cass called him out on it back in the day and called him out on it again as well!

But wait there’s more!

Tory seems to be talking trash about Megan Thee Stallion as well! Or at least those that support her and want to cancel him! He says “Where was the L. The tours got bigger. All I did was cop more cars and cop more ice. More cribs. The press got bigger.” And then he goes into the rhyme, “When Its Dark” freestyle. And, I have to admit, it goes hard. Cassidy is going to have his hands full. Megan Thee Stallion, probably wanna Chill on entering into this for Ray, but she gets some residual shrapnel from the blast. Tory Lanez is really in his bag right now, even though he kinda sounds like Meek Mill.

LeBron James Producing Drama On Native American Basketball Team

LeBron James will produce the basketball drama “Rez Ball” for Netflix.

The Los Angeles Lakers player will feature behind the camera on the new movie, which centers on a Native American basketball team and is based on Michael Powell’s novel “Canyon Dreams.”

The story follows the Chuska Warriors, a high school basketball team from New Mexico that is forced to band together after losing their best player as they try and keep their quest to win the state championship alive.

Veteran TV director Sydney Freeland will direct from a script she has written with Sterlin Harjo, who has worked with Taika Waititi on the upcoming comedy series Reservation Dogs.

The movie explores the world of ‘reservation basketball’, which has a lightning-quick pace that is said to have influenced top National Basketball Association (NBA) teams throughout the years.

Production on the film will take place in New Mexico and filming will be conducted on locations with the permission and support of local sovereign tribal nations.

LeBron and Maverick Carter are producing the flick for their SpringHill Company banner along with Wise Entertainment’s Mauricio and Kate Mara.

Megan Thee Stallion Says College Kept Her Grounded Despite Success

Megan Thee Stallion has credited studying at college while being a Grammy award-winning rap megastar for keeping her “head straight”.

Meg is due to graduate with a degree in health administration from Texas Southern University later this year and being a student has ensured she hasn’t gotten too big for her boots.

Megan told People: “School has kept me grounded. I might have an amazing night but knowing I have to finish a paper, project or my homework to graduate, keeps my head on straight.”

In February, Meghan reassured her social media followers that she’s committed to her studies despite her chart success, after one Twitter user cast doubt on her ambition.

The rapper, who eventually hopes to open an assisted living facility in Houston, wrote: “Mam Im abt to Graduate in the fall and still gone open my facility.. hope you get them retweets doe.”

Megan is thrilled that she’s managing to prove her doubters wrong by balancing her studies with her music career, adding: “They swore I wasn’t gone get that degree (laughing emojis) SIKE.”

G Herbo Defense Team Asks For More Time To Review Boatload Of Evidence In Fraud Case

Lawyers for G Herbo continue to negotiate with the Feds to strike a possible plea deal in a nationwide fraud case involving the rap star.

G Herbo, born Herbert Wright III, is one of five defendants charged with buying credit card numbers off of the dark web and then bilking businesses out of millions of dollars worth of goods and services.

Investigators claim the ring used the stolen credit card numbers to book luxury jets, stay at posh resorts, rent luxury vehicles and even purchase expensive puppy dogs.

Last week, the Feds revealed they have a mountain of evidence the Chicago rapper’s lawyers are still sifting through.

In addition to seizing two of G Herbo’s cell phones, investigators turned over 108,335 documents for the defense teams to review.

Some of the evidence includes text messages taken from the rapper’s phones, as well as numerous social media posts and direct messages from the various defendants.

Investigators have also provided Grand Jury exhibits and testimony, search warrant applications, affidavits, warrants, and reports of interviews of the defendants.

Despite the amount of evidence the government has against G Herbo and the defendants, acting United States Attorney Nathaniel R. Mendell admitted it was too soon to determine whether the case will be resolved with guilty pleas.

If the case does go to trial, the government expects it to last approximately four weeks.

In addition to G Herbo, Antonio Strong aka “T-Glo,” Joseph Williams AKA “Joe Rodeo,” Steven Hayes, and Demario Sorrells are charged in a 14 count indictment.

G Herbo pleaded not guilty to identity theft, aiding and abetting, and conspiracy to commit wire fraud charges.

The rapper is also charged with lying to the FBI and the Secret Service during an interview on November 24, 2018.

The government claims G Herbo lied when he said he had never received any money from Strong, and that he had no relationship with him at all when the pair were allegedly running their scams since 2016.

G Herbo has pleaded not guilty to those charges as well. He is currently free on a $75,000 bond.

Kanye West Distances Himself From DaBaby Ahead Of “Donda” Rollout

Kanye West has distanced himself from DaBaby after weeks of the North Carolina rapper making negative headlines.

Over the weekend, very quietly and before the release of his highly anticipated album Donda, Yeezy had his 2020 “Nah Nah Nah” remix featuring DaBaby and 2 Chainz pulled off of the major music streaming services.

Now, fans will no longer be able to listen to the song on Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, YouTube Music, or Pandora.

The move is not shocking when you consider Kanye’s very carefully crafted rollout. With a few glitches around the project already frustrating fans (the album was pushed back twice), additional controversy doesn’t seem to rock well with the Chicago native.

Also, Kanye is friendly with Lil Nas X. He produced his new single “Industry Baby” featuring Jack Harlow.

Perhaps, in addition to protecting his project and ensuring he won’t alienate a certain population within his fanbase, Kanye also is showing solidarity by distancing himself from the rapper.

Lil Nas X is a popular and openly gay rapper, whose fans attacked DaBaby for his homophobic rant at the Rolling Loud Miami festival.

Kanye West’s new project is named after his mother, Donda West, who transitioned in 2007, after suffering complications from plastic surgery.

The album has had two listening parties that were held for his fans and supporters. Both of the experiences were held in Atlanta’s Mercedes Benz stadium.

There is no real word for the release date for Donda — as there is no real word on why he disabled the play of the song.

AllHipHop discusses how T’Melle met Left Eye, the new single “Work 4 It,” her workout regime, studio essentials, forthcoming music, and more!

AllHipHop: I’m shook that you were in the car when Left Eye passed. Are you cool talking about that?

T’Melle: Yeah, it’s a part of my story. It was where I was, but I’m here now.

AllHipHop: On a positive note, how did you and Left Eye meet initially?

T’Melle: I met her when my parents split when I was 9. Me, my mother, and my sister moved into this apartment complex. We met this manager that was living in the apartment complex. Of course I’m a little singer so I was singing all through the building. He said “Yo, you need to be in my girl group!” Bam. To make a long story short, I joined this teeny bopper girl group. Shout out to Uncle Kyle, rest in peace he just passed away. Uncle Kyle was Left Eye’s uncle. They went to the same church and grew up together, the girl in my group’s uncle and Left Eye’s uncle.

We sang at the church one Sunday, Left Eye’s uncle said “You’ve got to meet these girls, oh my gosh!” She loved us ever since. She took us under her wing and we did some cool stuff.

At the time, we were shooting a reality, Making the Band type of thing. She definitely took the likes of us, that was an honor for her because she did what she did with Blaque. She was able to keep on doing what she did with TLC, then what she did with Blaque. It was going to all come down to us next, but unfortunately… that was definitely unfortunate.

AllHipHop: “Work 4 It” is a bop! When are you releasing the visual?

T’Melle: Very soon, very soon. I’m from Philly. If you know about Philly, you know about boxing, Rocky, you’re going to get all of that. You’re going to get a little twerking, you’re going to get some s### for sure with me. You’re going to get the swaggy, you’re going to get dancing. It’s a nice bop. It’s a nice vibe so stay tuned.

AllHipHop: What is your workout regimen?

T’Melle: Well I have a trainer so it changes. I ain’t gonna even lie, it changes. He always keeps me on my toes. It changes, it varies.

AllHipHop: Who do you like to listen to when you work out?

T’Melle: Besides myself, I like to listen to Meek Mill. “Dreams and Nightmares,” then I like Championships. I listen to that, I like listening to Meek. I like listening to hype music.

AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio at all times?

T’Melle: My candle, my wine and my purple light. The studio has to be completely purple, I have to have my candle and my wine.

AllHipHop: What’s the reality of launching your own clothing line? Was it difficult?

T’Melle: Actually easier than I thought. I did this during the quarantine so we were in the house doing nothing. That’s when I came up with it, I said “Look, I’ve got to be creative.” I’m in the studio, but fashion’s a big part of my lifestyle so how can I make all this come together? I can honestly say now a lot of my journey has been hard, but TPantha Athletics wasn’t too hard. I had the vision and I made it happen.

AllHipHop: What’s the best encounter you’ve had with a fan?

T’Melle: The best and the craziest was when I went on tour a few years ago. I was doing this dance with chairs and the dancers, this guy came on stage. He walked himself on stage to the point where I thought he’s security or something, then he started dancing on me. I started dancing on him, but then security got him off the stage. I’m from Philly so I wasn’t scared, but that was the craziest and funniest.

AllHipHop: What can we expect next from you music-wise?

T’Melle: I have another single dropping soon called “Where They At,” another female anthem. I have another song playing on the radio right now called “Do Me”, it’s picking up on it’s own so that’s been cool. I’ve been working man. You gotta follow me and see what wave I’m on because you might see me on TV soon. I’m talking to some movie producers right now, just working. I put in that work.

AllHipHop: What do you want to do in film?

T’Melle: Act. I took some acting classes, I learned some cool stuff.

Cardi B Delays LP Release To Avoid Postpartum Depression

Cardi B won’t be rushing to put out her new album until after her baby is born.

Cardi is expecting her second child with her husband Offset and, while she counts down to the tot’s arrival, her fans are desperately awaiting the release of her next album.

But three years since she dropped her debut Invasion of Privacy, Cardi told Cosmopolitan magazine that she wants to enjoy her new baby and not worry about releasing an album at the same time.

“I definitely want to put my album out,” she said. “After I drop my album, I automatically want to go on tour. I also want to be in the best shape that I can be and want to be mentally stable when I drop my album. I’m gonna have a baby and everything… it’s not that I don’t wanna rush, I just wanna be correct.

“I don’t wanna miss my baby’s first couple of months and be really stressed out. I don’t wanna stress myself out my first couple of months of having a baby because postpartum (depression) hit me really hard the last time, but I think I’m gonna be okay.”

Hit Hip-Hop/R&B producer Chucky Thompson has died, sources have confirmed to AllHipHop.com.

Unfortunately, the man behind hits like The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Big Poppa,” Faith Evans’ “You Used To Love Me,” and Nas’ classic track “One Mic,” died after a fight with COVID-19.

Chucky Thompson was a member of Bad Boy Entertainment’s legendary “Hitmen” production team.

Thompson was one of the founding members of the squad, which included Easy Moe Bee and Deric “D-Dot” Angelettie.

The Washington D.C. native got his start playing the congas with Go-Go music legend Chuck Brown and The Soul Searchers, before finding his way to Bad Boy. 

In addition to his hits with Diddy and Bad Boy, Thompson churned out hits for Tevin Campbell, New Edition, TLC, Busta Rhymes, Juvenile, and Mary J. Blige to name a few.

“My first real session with Bad Boy was with [producer] Easy Mo Bee. Puff asked if I wanted to go to the studio and hang out with him,” Chucky Thompson said during an interview with The Recording Academy.

“I’d never met him or anything. I showed up at the session; he had a guitar there, and I just started playing along with what Easy Mo Bee was doing. He heard it and immediately wanted to record it. That became the guitar parts on “Ready to Die.” That was always the energy,’ Chuck Thompson revealed. 

Most recently, Thompson helped produce tracks on Diddy’s upcoming album Off The Grid Volume 1 which is supposed to be released on September 24.

Off The Grid Volume 1 marks Diddy’s first album in 11 years and will be one of the first releases on his new imprint, Love Records.

Thompson made a documentary about the Tuskegee Airmen that aired on the History Channel and he was working on a film about his life and the Go-Go music scene in Washington D.C. titled “Chucky Thompson Presents D.C. Go-Go.”

Chucky Thompson’s official Instagram page is being flooded with somber messages.

Tyler the Creator Enjoyed Deflating DJ Khaled’s Ego With “Igor”

Tyler The Creator was thrilled to bump DJ Khaled from the top of the music charts in 2019 – after his rival claimed his music wasn’t real rap.

Speaking to U.S. radio show Ebro In The Morning over the weekend, Tyler recalled the pair competing for record sales when their albums, Igor and Father of Asahd were released around the same time.

And despite the diss from DJ Khaled, Tyler admits he still has “respect” for the star.

“Bro that Khaled thing was like, it was fun, it was just watching a man die inside,” Tyler said. “The weirdo was winning. I was moonwalking in a wig…

“For some guy like that to kind of indirectly be like ‘that ain’t real rap, that ain’t real black music.’ That’s what it felt like… I just let that number one speak. The ego had to deal with that.

“His whole identity is being number one. When he didn’t get that, that sat with him longer in real life time than that moment… I moved on, I did some shows, I went to London, cool. Didn’t think about it.

“When the underdog, to him, took that away from him, the ego was deflated. He’ll probably never admit it. And it’s no hard feelings towards him… I do have some sort of respect for him.”

Lupe Fiasco Promises 10 Track Project in 24 Hours

Lupe Fiasco is tired of you all playing with his name. 

The rapper, who recently came at Royce Da 5 ‘9 with the incredible “Steve Jobs: SLR 3 ½” diss, has just announced that he plans to release a 10 track album in 24 hours.  He took to social media to share the news.

“Finna do an album from scratch in 24 hours… 1 song in… 9 to go… Last time I did this Stack was alive…” he said on Twitter at 3:34 A.M. (EDT).

This task seems to be an epic undertaking and folk are wondering if those plans include not only writing and production but having the project fully mixed and mastered.

Two hours after the announcement, he shared that one more song was completed.

“8 to go…” he posted at 5:13 A.M. (EDT) two hours and 19 minutes since the first one was completed.

The third track was completed at 8:32 AM (EDT), a little over three hours from the last track.

There are no words on whether or not these songs will have special guests on them or if he will include the Steve Jobs diss track on there. 

However, it is clear he is inspired and can’t wait to translate that into hot fire. Earlier this weekend, he reviewed Nas’ King’s Disease 2 album on his Instagram Live.  

He could barely get his thoughts out about Nas’ style of writing and how he has impacted several generations of rappers for at least three decades. 

“That’s Nas!” he said.  “He’s been doing that s### since he first started.”

“So, when you see n##### is doing all these gymnastics and theatrics and jumping all over the place, just know Nasir Jones,” he informs his followers.

He also credited Nas’ lyrical lineage — Nas was inspired by Kool G Rap and Rakim, who were inspired by Melle Mel.  Lupe would say that he is a part of that same rap family tree. Do you agree?

Talib Kweli Says De La Soul Now Own The Rights To The Group’s Masters

De La Soul has one of the most-celebrated album discographies in rap history. 1989’s 3 Feet High and Rising, 1991’s De La Soul Is Dead, and 2016’s and the Anonymous Nobody… are often referred to as classics by Hip Hop aficionados.

Despite that critical success, Posdnuos, Trugoy, and Maseo did not have ownership of their back catalog. Tommy Boy Records reportedly bought the rights to the Long Island group’s masters in 2017 which led to the trio revealing they would only receive 10% of the revenue generated from music streams while the record label would receive 90%.

A 2019 statement on De La Soul’s verified Instagram page read, in part, “We are fighting for our livelihood.” Numerous Hip Hop legends like Nas, Pete Rock, and Questlove began promoting the #TommyBoycott campaign in support of De La Soul.

Reservoir Media acquired Tommy Boy for $100 million, and the music company was said to be working with De La Soul to get their music on streaming platforms. In June, a rep for Reservoir Media stated, “We have already reached out to De La Soul and will work together to bring the catalog and the music back to the fans.”

There appears to be a major update in regards to the ownership of Posdnuos, Trugoy, and Maseo’s intellectual property. Brooklyn-bred rapper/podcaster Talib Kweli took to Instagram to share some news about the “Me Myself and I” hitmakers.

According to the Javotti Media founder, the members of De La Soul are currently in “full control of the amazing music they have created.” Talib Kweli wrote:

Ladies and gentlemen, I spoke to @djmaseo from the legendary @wearedelasoul today and it’s official… after years of being taken advantage by the recording industry in the worst possible ways, De La Soul now owns all the rights to their masters and is in full control of the amazing music they have created. Let’s salute Plugs 1, 2, and 3 for sticking to their guns and showing us that we can all beat the system if we come together as a community. Let’s hear it for Black ownership of Black art! It has now become a running joke on social media that Kanye West’s Donda will never see the light of day, à la Dr. Dre’s mythical Detox. Fans of Ye expected the album to arrive twice already, but new music from the enigmatic emcee never made it to DSPs.

At first, Respectfully Justin talk show host Justin Laboy tweeted Donda would drop the week of July 18. That did not happen. Then, there were reports the project would come out on August 6. Again, Ye failed to deliver.

Kanye West did host two separate live extravaganzas inside Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium in recent weeks. Neither the July 22 album listening event nor the August 5 album listening event served as a precursor to Donda making it to streaming services.

Now one of those streamers seems to provide some clues to the time frame for Kanye West’s Donda to finally be available for listeners. According to the pre-add page on Apple Music, Donda‘s new drop day is listed as August 13. However, Apple’s iTunes Store has the expected release date presented as August 15.

While the two websites have conflicting information, there is more weight being place on Apple Music and iTunes showing proposed release dates because the Donda listening events streamed live on Apple Music. However, an official release date has not been confirmed by Kanye West or his representatives.

Kanye West is apparently living in Mercedes-Benz Stadium as he continues to tinker with Donda. According to the Tidal streaming service, Donda will feature Jay-Z, Pusha T, Kid Cudi, Young Thug, Roddy Ricch, Lil Durk, Jay Electronica, The Lox, Pop Smoke, The Weeknd, Lil Baby, and more.

Donda is set to be the tenth studio LP released by Kanye West. The Chicago-raised entertainer previously let loose Jesus Is King in 2019. That project won a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Album. West currently has 22 Grammys, one shy of his The Throne partner Jay-Z’s record-setting 23 wins for a Hip Hop artist.

New Orleans Jazz Fest Canceled Due To Surge In COVID Cases

For a while, it appeared America was on track to put the COVID-19 pandemic in the past and society would get back to normal in 2021. Even sanctioned live events returned for the first time in over a year, but the coronavirus crisis is still affecting the music industry.

Organizers of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival called off this year’s edition scheduled for October 8-10 and 15-17 at the Fair Grounds Race Course. The Louisiana-based cultural event’s official website announced the celebration is looking to start back up in April and May of 2022.

An update from Jazz Fest reads:

As a result of the current exponential growth of new COVID cases in New Orleans and the region and the ongoing public health emergency, we must sadly announce that the 2021 edition of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell, scheduled to take place October 8 –17, 2021, will not occur as planned. We now look forward to next spring, when we will present the Festival during its traditional timeframe. Next year’s dates are April 29 – May 8, 2022. Ticketholders for both Festival weekends (including those that rolled over their tickets from 2020) will receive an email this week with details about the ticket refund and rollover process.  All Wednesday, October 13 tickets will be automatically refunded. In the meantime, we urge everyone to follow the guidelines and protocols put forth by public health officials, so that we can all soon experience together the joy that is Jazz Fest.

New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival 2021 was scheduled to host Hip Hop and R&B acts like Wu-Tang Clan featuring The Soul Rebels, H.E.R., Lizzo, Ludacris, Jon Batiste, The Isley Brothers, Nile Rodgers & Chic, Ledisi, Big Freedia, PJ Morton, and more.

COVID cases in New Orleans are reportedly up 91% over the last fourteen days. Louisiana is said to be the fifth-least vaccinated state in the nation. Only around 37% of Louisiana residents are fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

Most of the entire 2020 festival season was canceled as COVID-19 spread across the country, eventually causing more than 500,000 deaths in the United States last year. Festivals such as Rolling Loud Miami and Lollapalooza took place over the last few weeks with critics complaining the outdoor concerts could have been super-spreader events for the COVID Delta variant.

DaBaby Removes Apology To LGBTQ Community From His Instagram Page

Did DaBaby walk back another mea culpa? The North Carolina-raised rapper has been in the hot seat ever since he made offensive comments about people living with HIV/AIDS and homosexual men.

“If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of [those] deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up,” said DaBaby during his performance at Rolling Loud Miami on July 25.

The Blame It on Baby album creator added, “Ladies, if your p#### smell like water, put your cellphone lighter up. Fellas, if you ain’t sucking a n####’s d### in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up.” He followed that up with an Instagram video where he claimed his LGBT supporters are not “nasty gay n##### or junkies.”

DaBaby’s comments sparked widespread negative reactions. The 29-year-old Interscope recording artist eventually offered a public apology before he began to push back against again his critics like Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson of The Roots.

As a result of the backlash, the BoohooMAN fashion brand parted ways with DaBaby. Numerous festivals removed DaBaby from their respective lineups as well.

Lollapalooza organizers reportedly canceled DaBaby’s set at their event because he failed to record a video apology that both sides apparently agreed upon. DaBaby then shared a second, longer written apology on Instagram.

He wrote:

As a man who has had to make his own way from very difficult circumstances, having people I know publicly working against me— knowing that what I needed was education on these topics and guidance— has been challenging. I appreciate the many people who came to me with kindness, who reached out to me privately to offer wisdom, education, and resources. That’s what I needed and it was received. I want to apologize to the LGBTQ+ community fr the hurtful and triggering comments I made. Again, I apologize for my misinformed comments about HIV/AIDS and I know education on this is important. Love to all. God bless.

However, that August 2 statement can no longer be found on DaBaby’s verified Instagram account. As of press time, it is not clear why the post was removed from his page.

Eleven LGBT-related and HIV/AIDS-related organizations drafted and signed an open letter directed at DaBaby. The groups requested a “private, off-the-record, virtual discussion” with the “Rockstar” performer.

The letter read, in part, “We heard your inaccurate and harmful comments at Rolling Loud and have read your Instagram apology. However, at a time when HIV continues to disproportionately impact Black Americans and queer and transgender people of color, a dialogue is critical. We must address the miseducation about HIV, expressed in your comments, and the impact it has on various communities.”

Top Dawg Entertainment emcee Isaiah Rashad dropped his third studio LP, The House Is Burning, on July 30. The project managed to open among the best-sellers of the week.

The House Is Burning debuted at #7 with 41,000 first-week units, giving Isaiah Rashad the first Top 10 album of his career. Previously, 2014’s Cilvia Demo peaked at #40 and 2016’s The Sun’s Tirade peaked at #17.

For The House Is Burning, Isaiah Rashad recruited Lil Uzi Vert, Duke Deuce, Smino, Jay Rock, Jay Worthy, SZA, 6LACK, and others as guest features. Production was provided by Devin Malik, Kal Banx, Rory Behr, Kenny Beats, and more.

“This album was difficult,” said Rashad prior to the project dropping. “I love music, but I don’t like to say s###. It’s almost like a game for me. It’s like working out. I don’t want to be redundant. Redundancy in general bothers me. Any song that I make, I usually make it in about 30 minutes to an hour, and that’s it. My ideas come to me immediately.”

The Tennessee native added, “Music is where I go to express myself. It’s what I do to close a chapter. You know what’s crazy? I’m not even ashamed to say it… I really think my albums aren’t different from each other. Eventually, one of my albums will become a classic. I just love this s###. It’s me.”

This week’s Billboard 200 chart was led by 19-year-old Pop performer Billie Eilish with her Happier Than Ever album (238,000 units.) Last week’s champion, The Kid LAROI’s F*ck Love, slipped to #2 in the rankings (65,000 units).

Prince’s Welcome 2 America debuts at #4 (55,000 units), Doja Cat’s Planet Her dropped two spots to #5 (55,000 units), Lil Baby & Lil Durk’s The Voice of the Heroes dropped two positions to #8 (30,000 units), and Polo G’s Hall of Fame fell two slots to #10 (27,000 units).

He just released a highly anticipated single titled “Move It Groove It” on August 8th on every streaming platform, along with a music video! Nice vibe and hook, you can dance all day to the track and everything. This song is really dope. You can hear his crisp vocals and change of tones, he’s really a young talented artist. Ludacris Walking To Help To Raise Awareness About AIDS

Ludacris and Sevyn Streeter will join the city of Atlanta to raise awareness for the AIDS virus.

The two stars are set to perform at the 30th annual AIDS WalkAtlanta & Music Fest – a yearly celebration that was suspended in 2020 due to the onset of the coronavirus.

Last year, organizers had to put a halt to this very important event in compliance with the city’s COVID-19 restriction.

However now, with the support of AHF Pharmacy, the advocacy work is back in full swing. Or should we say “full high-step,” as the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, the producers of the event, hopes to raise $1 million.

AIDS/HIV education is deeply needed in Atlanta, a city that has a whopping 70% of all Georgia HIV infections.

Out of that number, 79% of those diagnosed with HIV are men, 19% are women and 2% are trans. It is more than telling folk about strapping up all the time … it is about getting real information to the communities most at risk.

And that cost bread … and people are willing to help.

With misinformation being spread by people like DaBaby, who have connected AIDS/HIV with being gay, getting real facts out is paramount, especially since the numbers are starkly high.

The money raised will support ten organizations that are actually doing the work of AIDS/HIV advocacy and service in Atlanta. The funds will be unrestricted, to be used in the manner that best fits the needs of the group.

Those groups benefiting from the walk and music fest are as follows: AID Atlanta, A Vision for Hope, Center for Black Women’s Wellness, Center for Pan Asian Community Services, Jerusalem House, National AIDS Education & Services for Minorities, Open Hand, Positive Impact Health Centers, Someone Cares, and Thrive SS.

Dawn Averill, AHF Atlanta regional director said in a statement, “This annual event offers a time to create a greater awareness of the impact of HIV and AIDS on the local Atlanta community, as well as an opportunity to bring together thousands of individuals from across the region to raise critical funds for these 10 worthy organizations.”

“AHF is proud to present this event as one of the many ways that we educate and empower the local community to join the fight against HIV and AIDS,” she concluded.

AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), the largest global AIDS organization, currently provides medical care and/or services to over 1.6 million individuals in 45 countries worldwide in the US, Africa, Latin America/Caribbean, the Asia/Pacific Region, and Eastern Europe.

Barack Obama Celebrates His 60th Birthday With Rappers, Celebs, And Politicians

Barack Obama was not only America’s first Black president but is considered the nation’s first Hip-Hop top executive.

And to commemorate his 60th birthday, old Barry O threw a bash that rivaled any Diddy extravaganza.

Originally, 44 had a guest list of 600. However, with the resurgence of the COVID-19 virus (prompted by the Delta variant), he had to scale back his Martha’s Vineyard soiree a little bit.

Barack Obama hosted a comfortable 500, entertaining only a few of his close friends and families.

Some of the guests included Jay-Z and Beyoncé, Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, Oprah Winfrey, Don Cheadle, Stephen Colbert, George Clooney, and Trap Beckham.

The rapper posted some of the party to his social media feed, before deleting the images due to the event’s photography ban.

But if you think, Obama only kicked it with celebrities … you are wrong. There were even some politicians there. Former senator and US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, John Kerry was also spotted with attendees.

But where are they partying?

The Obamas have set up series of beautiful tents behind their waterfront property.

Photographers raced to get pictures and used every tool available (paparazzi, drones, etc.) to zoom in on the money shot. In good humor, the former president saw one earlier while he was playing golf at the island’s Farm Neck Club and said, “Just make sure you get a good picture of me!”
