Budden has been speaking on the Kendrick Lamar and Drake feud since it intensified last week. On May 1, just a day after Kendrick unleashed “euphoria,” he unapologetically told Kanye West to stay out of it. West, of course, remixed Future & Metro Boomin’s single “Like That” featuring Kendrick Lamar that essentially kicked off the entire back-and-forth.

“Kanye, sit your f###### ass down somewhere,” Budden said.. “Mind your f###### business. This is not about you. This is some attention-seeking s### that you’re doing.

He went on to say, “Kanye has been trying to insert himself in this since the beginning. You had your shot. That n#### was gunning for you. Y’all all ran except for Pusha. It’s not smooth when it’s not your beef,” he added. “You are making this all about you when you had a shot already. Move! You are taking attention away from our main event.”

Kendrick Lamar and Drake have been dormant since the latter dropped “The Heart Part 6” on Sunday (May 5). Publications like Rolling Stone and Vulture have also declared Kendrick the “winner,” meanwhile Questlove begs to differ.

As The Roots drummer posted on Instagram, “Nobody won the war. This wasn’t about skill. This was a wrestling match level mudslinging and takedown by any means necessary—women & children (& actual facts) be damned. Same audience wanting blood will soon put up ‘rip’ posts like they weren’t part of the problem. Hip Hop is truly dead.”

Sukihana Says JT Looks Like “A Trans” On “Cocaine” Diss Track

Sukihana escalated her beef with JT by releasing a diss track titled “Cocaine” on Wednesday (May 8). The song reiterated cocaine abuse allegations against JT and bashed the City Girls rapper’s appearance.

“You a crunchy black long t#### b####, you got scabies/All that eczema you hiding under that coat, I know you hate it/You been hating on Caresha since a baby/You got booked three years, you was stealing out of Macy’s/I ain’t arguing with no hoe that’s f###### punks, hoe you crazy?/Girl, you foaming out your mouth, is it rabies?/I can tell by that white tongue, you eat booty gravy/Everybody in Miami say you suck dick lazy,” Sukihana rapped.

Sukihana accused JT of worshipping the devil and being jealous of Ice Spice. The controversial rapper/reality TV star referenced JT’s “pretty like a transgender” line from the song “No Bars” to troll JT’s relationship with Lil Uzi Vert.

“Demonic ass hoe, tell ’em how you worship Satan/Prayed to God through your bid, now you come home and you hate him?/Ol’ thieving ass angry beaver looking m###########/You was mad at Ice Spice ’cause your n#### wanna f### her/B####, you ain’t no scammer, you was boosting outta TJ Maxx/Coochie hole so wide, you gotta use your ass/You ain’t lying when you say you look like a trans/Your n#### only f### with you because you look like a man,” Sukihana rapped.

The diss track included a break in the raps in which Sukihana went on a scathing rant about JT.

“I don’t give a f### what these hoes gotta say about me, b####,” Sukihana said. “I know who I am. Y’all hoes be coked out and sucking dick right after it came out of another n#### ass. Cockeyed nipple deformed armadillo looking m########### thinking I don’t know your n####, b####. Yo n#### wanted to eat this sewer p#### right through my pants, hoe.”

Sukihana resumed rapping with more insults and threats in the second verse.

“When you was in the pen, you was f###### on a fiend/Eating coochie like a mukbang/You a m############ lie, talking ’bout who? Me?/Nah, b####, you gon’ see/P#### hoe, I’m right in these streets/With a cat this good, I keep a pistol on me/I got a beam for every bump on your lip/Got ’em stressed out, I am under their skin/Ol’ botched body bald eagle looking ass b####/With that 5 o’clock shadow, girl, shave that chin,” she rapped.

Sukihana closed out the song by repeating, “You ain’t no City Girl, you a s##### girl, and your man wanna come to the coochie world.” The diss track dropped days after JT bashed Sukihana on TikTok.

Metro Boomin Shows Original Creator Of “BBL Drizzy” Hella Sample Love

Live Nation Reveals Settlements In Wrongful Death Lawsuits Against Travis Scott & More

Nine of the 10 wrongful death lawsuits against Travis Scott, Live Nation and others were settled out of court. According to the Associated Press, Live Nation’s attorney Neal Manne informed a Texas court of the settlements at a hearing on Wednesday (May 8).

The settlements included a lawsuit filed by the family of 23-year-old Madison Dubiski, one of the 10 people killed in the Astroworld tragedy. Her family’s case was the first scheduled to go to trial. Jury selection was set to begin in May, but her family’s lawyer Noah Wexler said the case was “resolved in its entirety” at Wednesday’s hearing.

Terms of the settlements weren’t disclosed. Deals were reached after a judge denied Scott’s motion to be missed from the lawsuits. His lawyers claimed he wasn’t responsible for crowd safety at the 2021 Astroworld Festival.

“No one disputes that tragedy struck the Astroworld Festival,” his attorneys argued. “But promoting and performing at a concert do not equate to the power to control a crowd or to design a venue safely. Basic tort principles prevent imposing liability on the Scott Defendants for a tragedy arising from forces legally controlled by others.”

The family of 9-year-old Ezra Blount was the lone holdout in settling the wrongful death lawsuits against Scott and others involved in the Astroworld Festival. Blount was the youngest victim killed in the crowd crush at the infamous event.

“This case is ready for trial,” the Blount family’s lawyer Scott West told the court.

Live Nation and its fellow defendants claimed they weren’t ready for trial. Attorneys for both sides were scheduled to meet next week to determine a potential trial start date.

Scott and Live Nation still faced roughly 2,400 cases regarding injuries from the Astroworld tragedy. A grand jury declined to indict Scott on criminal charges over the deadly event in 2023.

It appears the general public has chosen a winner in the Kendrick Lamar versus Drake battle through streaming numbers. Lamar’s “Not Like Us” diss track continues to rack up monumental plays on Spotify.

According to ChartData, “Not Like Us” surpassed its own record for the biggest single-day U.S. Spotify streams for a Hip-Hop song. The Mustard-produced hit added another 6.81 million streams on Tuesday (May 7).

“Not Like Us” dropped on Saturday (May 4). Kendrick Lamar’s club-friendly single arrived at the tail-end of a week-long lyrical back-and-forth between the Pulitzer Prize winner and Drake. The track quickly shot to No. 1 on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs USA chart.

Kendrick Lamar also has the No. 3, No. 6 and No. 7 entries on the Daily Top Songs USA rankings. Additional Drake-directed diss songs titled “euphoria,” “Like That” and “meet the grahams” hold those Top 10 positions, respectively.

The 36-year-old Californian has gained traction outside the United States, too. “Not Like Us” controls the No. 1 slot on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global chart with 11.85 million streams. Plus, “euphoria” amassed 7.43 million streams to take No. 4.

Veteran boxing reporter Dan Rafael reported on Wednesday that controversial boxer Ryan Garcia has been cleared of a potential positive drug test for 19-Norandrosterone, a metabolite derived from the banned substance nandrolone. Initially, Garcia tested positive for the metabolite, but subsequent analysis using Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry (IRMS) confirmed the results to be negative.

However, Garcia faced further scrutiny as he also tested positive for the banned substance ostarine in samples collected on April 19 and April 20, surrounding his recent victory over Devin Haney. Garcia’s team disputed these findings and requested a test of a B-sample, with the results still pending. According to Rafael, these samples are scheduled to be tested on May 22.

Garcia has publicly denied using any performance-enhancing drugs. On Twitter, he responded to the allegations, claiming his innocence and attributing the accusations to a misunderstanding. “THEY TRIED BUT NO LIE STANDS,” he said on Twitter,” “PRAISE GOD.”

Ryan Garcia Boasts He Was “High As F*ck” During Devin Haney Fight 

Despite the controversy, Garcia defeated Haney by majority decision, marking Haney’s first professional loss in 32 bouts. The fight, which was for Haney’s WBC super lightweight title, saw Garcia ineligible to win the belt after missing weight by three pounds.

In response to the drug test findings, Garcia provocatively stated that he would allow his next opponent to use performance-enhancing drugs. “I will let the next man I fight fight me with steroids,” he said. “I will eat only oranges for a month straight and destroy him.”

Drake & Kendrick Lamar Battle For Rap Supremacy As Their Boss Fights For $149M Bonus

While Drake and Kendrick Lamar are embroiled in a vicious lyrical battle their boss is fighting for a whopping $149 million payout. 

Both artists’ labels are under the umbrella of Universal Music Group whose CEO Lucian Grainge is under the microscope. An influential advisory firm is reportedly scruitinzing his bonus and look set to urge shareholders to reject his “excessive” compensation package. 

Grainge, whom Kanye West referred to as Drake’s “rich baby daddy,” in a recent interview, is at risk of losing the package, which included a share-based bonus of almost $100 million.  

Glass Lewis says such bonuses “undermine the integrity of a company’s incentive system.” Grainge’s payout will be on the agenda for shareholders at the annual meeting on May 16. 

Meanwhile, UMG responded to a rumor that they intervened in the beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. A viral blind report circulating online claimed UMG asked K. Dot and The Weeknd to squash the beef, fearing Drake was losing the battle. However, a source rejected the rumor, insisting the label would never intervene in rapper beef. 

However, as Grainge fights to keep his multimillion-dollar bonus, Drake and Kendrick continue to dominate the charts. Their respective diss tracks are set to rack up a combined 250 million streams across all platforms in the United States alone. The numbers reportedly account for around 20 percent of all streams on the Billboard Hot 100. 

Fat Joe Responds To Chris Broussard Dissing Him On FS1

Fat Joe’s name came up during a conversation about the New York Knicks on FS1’s First Things First. Sports commentator Chris Broussard used the Bronx native in an analogy to downplay Knicks guard Jalen Brunson’s star power.

“I’m not falling for this because he does it in New York versus Sacramento, that he’s going to be a superstar,” Chris Broussard stated about Jalen Brunson. 

Additionally, Broussard said, “That’s like saying Fat Joe is a top 5 rapper of all time. Fat Joe is dope. Fat Joe has some anthems and classics, but he’s not Top 5. Jalen Brunson is dope, but he’s not a superstar yet.”

A clip of Chris Broussard’s rant made its way to the X social media platform. Joe got wind of what the TV personality had to say. In response, he tweeted, “I think I caught a stray [face with tears of joy emoji].”

Last week, Joe declared Jalen Brunson is close to being the greatest New York Knicks player ever. The “All the Way Up” hitmaker has been a vocal, diehard Knicks fan for a long time.

Future Teases New Mixtape Set To Drop Following Kendrick Lamar Vs Drake Battle

The historic three-month rap battle between Kendrick Lamar and Drake began with a verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s We Don’t Trust You. The rapper/producer duo followed that album with We Still Don’t Trust You.

It appears Future will release another project soon. The Atlanta-raised Freebandz frontman took to X to tease that another body of work could arrive this Friday (May 10).

“F### yo album s### ain’t slappin like my MIXTAPE,” Future tweeted on Wednesday (May 8). A short time later, the 40-year-old rhymer added, “MAY TENTH [sneezing face emoji]… MIXTAPE PLUTO.”

Future and Metro Boomin dropped We Don’t Trust You on March 22. We Still Don’t Trust You then hit DSPs on April 12. Both albums contained shots at Drake from multiple artists, including Kendrick Lamar.

Drake fired back at his foes on April 19’s “Push Ups” record. Eleven days later, Kendrick Lamar blasted the OVO leader with “Euphoria.” The two Grammy winners exchanged more diss tracks from May 3 through May 5.
 
Future’s longtime production partner, Metro Boomin, has also aimed at Drake with the #bbldrizzybeatgiveaway challenge. Unsigned rappers and musicians from around the world performed over Metro’s “BBL DRIZZY” for a chance to win $10,000.

News Anchor Accidentally Calls Drake “R####” On Live TV

ABC7 New York’s Bill Ritter covered the news story of a shooting near Drake’s Toronto home. The newscaster likely made a huge Freudian slip. The gaffe quickly spread across social media.

“Lots of questions tonight about a security guard who was shot outside the mansion of the r####… rapper, I should say, Drake, in Toronto,” Bill Ritter told the TV audience.

The battle between Kendrick Lamar and Drake led to Lamar referring to the Canadian entertainer and his OVO crew as sex offenders. In addition, Lamar warned other celebrities to stay away from Drake for safety reasons.

Jim Jones Escapes Charges Following Airport Escalator Brawl

Jim Jones won’t be facing legal action after a wild brawl on an airport escalator left a man covered in blood. 

Capo claimed he acted in self-defense after being outnumbered by two men during the altercation at Miami airport earlier this month. Cops say surveillance video confirms his account, according to TMZ. Furthermore, none of the men wish to press charges.  

Despite the viral footage, Jones claims the incident began while they were still on the plane, per the police report via TMZ. Jones accused one of the men, James Dos Santos, of pushing him after he removed his belongings from the overhead compartment before the plane stopped.

Jones told cops Dos Santos apologized after he grabbed his arm and warned him about his behavior. Meanwhile, another passenger, Alexander Lekht, began screaming at the rapper, but Jones declined to take the matter further.
