Roddy Ricch Responds To People Saying He Fell Off

Roddy Ricch recently teased the release of a new full-length project tentatively titled The Navy Album. As he prepares to drop his next body of work, the Compton-raised rapper shared a message for his haters.

The Navy Album will follow 2019’s Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial and 2021’s Live Life Fast. Ricch’s debut studio LP became a commercial success. The Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial single “The Box” had an 11-week reign atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Plus, Roddy Ricch earned a 2x-platinum plaque from the RIAA for the Billboard 200 chart-topping Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial. However, Live Life Fast peaked at No. 4 and only remained on the Billboard 200 for 10 weeks.

The dropoff in sales from his first album to his second album caused some Hip-Hop followers to declare that Ricch has fallen off as a recording artist. The 25-year-old performer reacted to those negative comments.

“Imagine if I had a dollar for every time they said I FELL OFF, I’d be a billionaire [red anatomical heart emoji],” Roddy Ricch tweeted on Sunday (June 2). That post amassed more than 19,000 likes on the X social media platform.

Some X users pushed back on Roddy Ricch suggesting his career has not seen a significant dropoff in recent years. For instance, one person wrote, “No disrespect, but what would you call it? A subtle fade into obscurity?”

Someone else replied, “You went off for long bro… you starve your fans of new music… that’s bad… we all thought you fell off.” Another commenter tweeted, “But you really fell off [pensive face emoji]. I still love you tho.”

Roddy Ricch also received love from his more hardened supporters. A fan declared, “They could never make me hate you.” Ricch also got a reply that read, “You got this bruh. I know you boutta come with sumn crazy.”

2024 saw the arrival of Roddy Ricch’s “Survivor’s Remorse” song on May 31. In addition, the Grammy Award winner showed up on the “Let It Breathe” collaboration off Atlanta rapper Gunna’s 2024 album One of Wun.

Angel Reese Says People Watch WNBA For Her Too—Not Just Caitlin Clark

The Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) is currently the most-talked-about sports league in America, and rising stars like Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark have helped shine a light on it.

Reese and Clark became household names during the 2023 NCAA Division I women’s basketball tournament. Reese and the LSU Tigers defeated Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes to win the National Championship.

The Indiana Fever eventually drafted Caitlin Clark as the overall No. 1 pick in the 2024 WNBA draft. Angel Reese went to the Chicago Sky with the No. 7 selection.

Since arriving in the WNBA, many sportscasters and fans have credited Caitlin Clark for bringing more eyes to the product. However, Angel Reese says she also played a role in introducing a new audience to the league.

“So many people are watching women’s basketball right now. It all started from the national championship game, and I’ve been dealing with this for two years now,” Reese declared during a news conference. “The reason why we’re watching women’s basketball is not just because of one person. It’s because of me, too. I want y’all to realize that.”

Angel Reese went on to mention that many different women have elevated women’s basketball. She stated, “A lot of us have done so much for this game.”

A recent on-court incident involving Caitlin Clark made national headlines. Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky teammate Chennedy Carter received an upgraded flagrant foul for giving Clark a hard shove during Chicago’s game against the Indiana Fever.

Carter’s actions caused widespread criticism with some sports talking heads suggesting WNBA players have been bullying Caitlin Clark. In contrast, other sports commentators claimed certain media figures treat Clark with kids’ gloves.

Chuck D Calls Out Rappers Over 40 Promoting “Meaningless Dark Energy”

Chuck D has no problem sharing his opinions about Hip-Hop culture. For instance, the Public Enemy frontman had a message for unnamed rappers on Monday (June 3).

“If you over 40 and spitting meaningless dark energy in RAP you have to really think about what matters in the Hip-Hop foundation that birthed your chance at it,” Chuck D tweeted.

Around 30 minutes later, the 63-year-old MC also posted, “I didn’t say cease and desist. I said T H I N K… A over 40 mind should have a better ability to KNOW self and surroundings better. The ‘green’ days is greying.”

Chuck D helped shift rap music into a more politically and socially conscious direction. Public Enemy albums like 1988’s It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back and 1991’s Fear of a Black Planet influenced generations of recording artists.

Recently, Chuck addressed battling in Hip-Hop in response to the highly-publicized Kendrick Lamar versus Drake feud. The Prophets of Rage member offered his view on the history of lyrical clashes.

“Rap and Hip-Hop didn’t form from [diss] battle culture. It formed from party dance culture,” Chuck D tweeted in April. “The battle culture was a mutation alongside moving the crowd.”

City Girls Rapper Yung Miami Explains Parting Ways With JT

City Girls emerged as a mainstream Hip-Hop act in 2019 with songs such as “Act Up” and “Twerk” featuring Cardi B. However, Yung Miami and JT recently clashed publicly and seem to be moving forward as soloists.

In a new interview with Complex, Yung Miami discussed why the City Girls members decided to part ways. The lack of commercial success for the duo’s 2023 studio LP RAW played a role in the split.

“I think when the City Girls album just dropped and it didn’t do too well, and we was just trying to do our press run. The whole rollout of the album was just so bad because we was just in two different spaces,” Yung Miami stated.

She continued, “We older now, and she was doing her own thing. She on the West Coast, I’m in Miami. I’m doing my own thing. And I felt like naturally, when she doing her own thing, it just worked for her. And when I’m doing my own thing, it worked for me.”

JT recently released singles like “Sideways” and “Okay.” Yung Miami also put out solo tracks, including “CFWM” with Skilla Baby. Additionally, the Caresha Please podcaster has been promoting her “YAMS” era.

“When we get together as a group, it just wasn’t connecting. It just wasn’t working no more. So I think we both was at a point where we were just like, ‘We probably should just do our own s###,’” Yung Miami explained.

Patrick Beverley Puts $1M Bet On The Line For Aye Verb vs Rone Rap Battle

Patrick Beverley and Rashad McCants are betting $1 million for a rap battle between Aye Verb and Rone.

Beverley has so much faith in his podcast co-host Rone’s battle rapping ability that he offered the whopping sum to anybody who could beat him. Thankfully, the retired NBA veteran has friends with deep pockets willing to place high stakes bets and instantly found a challenger.

Pat Bev appeared on the latest episode of Gilbert Arenas’ podcast, where the discussion turned to Rone. “I’ll put a $1 million behind anybody that wanna freestyle him,” Beverly offered. “Right now.”

Without skipping a beat, former NBA athlete Rashad McCants shot back with the name of a St. Louis battle rap legend. “Aye Verb,” he replied before telling Beverley to “Just line it up.”

Despite taking a backseat from battle rap in recent years, the former King of the Dot champ isn’t ducking any wreck. “Set it up,” Rone replied.

Aye Verb, who recently hosted McCants on the debut episode of his podcast, reacted to the challenge on X (Twitter).

“I’ll be looking forward to doing that,” Verb said of battling Rone. “A million is on the floor.”

He added, “They gonna make it a big production. We might put a card together, give some people a chance to make them some money, get some visibility around some higher power s###.”

Battle rap fans shared their predictions on social media. “For a million dollars that Old Verb gone come out I can hear now ‘So it’s SHOWTIME’ and Verb gone 3-0 Rone,” one person wrote. “Rone smoking Verb,” added another.

Branding the clash “A battle I never knew I needed,” fellow former KOTD champ Real Deal said Rone is “so damn dangerous man.” He also dubbed Verb “a monster.”

Cardi B Blasts Critics Of Her “Multimillion-Dollar” Accent: “I Will Never Change The Way I Talk”

Cardi B has the internet talking about her once again. The New Yorker of Dominican and Trinidadian descent had online trolls clowning how she speaks.

“At what point does making fun of Cardi B’s speech patterns become racist?” an X user asked about the 31-year-old Hip-Hop star. That question garnered a quote-tweet by Cardi.

In response, the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker posted, “Awwwww thanks for defending me [pleading face emoji]. FCK THEM. I will never change the way I talk.”

She continued, “I became famous from that, just being myself! Then I started making music and became a millionaire out of it. THIS IS A MULTIMILLION-DOLLAR ACCENT BABBYY OKKKKRRR.”

Cardi B recently hopped on the remix of GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Wanna Be” single. The newer version of the track features Cardi taking a direct shot at Massachusetts-bred rapper Bia.

“Wanna Be Remix” led to Bia dropping her “Sue Meee?” diss track directed at Cardi B. The bad blood reportedly began when Bia accused Cardi of copying her style which the Bronx native has denied.

“You should be home with your kids ’cause b####, you speak like second grade,” Bia raps on “Sue Meee?” That line may have sparked the conversation about Cardi’s pronunciation and diction.

When an X user told Cardi B to get in the booth, the Invasion of Privacy album creator hinted that music could be coming. She clapped back, “I’m hopping in the booth after I go to the gym, do this Zoom and get my pedi… GET OFF YOUR BREAK AND MAKE ME A CHEESEBURGER.”

Murda Mook Slams “Bozo” Joe Buden For Mocking His Apartment Size After Recent Arrest

Murda Mook is hitting back at Joe Budden for mocking his living conditions following his recent arrest on Instagram Live.

“Joe is a bozo,” the Harlem battle rap legend said during an appearance on the Uppercut Podcast. “I thought me and Joe was all right. I ain’t know it was like that.”

Mook continued, “He didn’t call to check and see if a n#### was alive or not. You know, it’s crazy a n#### want to worry about how you living, and [not] worry about if you living. Think about that. That’s wild.”

Dismissing Budden’s comments as “hate,” Mook alluded to the podcaster’s initial silence over the Diddy allegations, slamming him for clowning his apartment without checking the severity of the situation.

“That’s a special kind of hate,” Mook added. “You watching something happen that we stand up and march for. Police kill muthafuckas all the time. We seen s### was going wrong. When you seen that, as a Black man, you supposed to be concerned about the person. Especially if you thought you was cool. You can roast them later. Find out if the n#### breathing first.

“That’s how real n##### do it,” he said, before adding, “But that separates who is who and where we from.”

Back in February, Murda Mook took to Instagram live during a confrontation with NYPD officers at his apartment. Cops accused him of scratching his daughter’s arm.

Joe Budden roasted Murda Mook on his podcast and said he zoomed in to see his living conditions. “Yo, Mook. You have to move,” he teased after joking about the ‘box” sized apartment.

However, in his new interview, Mook claimed, “I’ve been out. I live up a few a few places but that’s neither her nor there.”

In a recent interview with 15 Mins of Fame, Murda Mook admitted, “I need help,” and said, “My life was spiralling out of control.” He explained that he felt lost after the death of his mother and checked himself into rehab.

Kanye West Sent Lewd Texts & Explicit Videos, Ex-Assistant Alleges In Sexual Harassment Lawsuit

Kanye West is facing a sexual harassment lawsuit from a former employee who alleged the rapper fired her after sending her lewd videos and text messages.

Lauren Pisciotta also claimed West told her he masturbated during their phone conversations and questioned her about how well-endowed her boyfriends were.

In her suit, Pisciotta says she was a successful OnlyFans model earning $1M annually when she met Kanye West in 2021, per TMZ. He recruited her to work on his fashion line, and she claims she later worked with him on 3 songs on Donda

However, Pisciotta alleged West approached her the following year asking her to delete her OnlyFans account to be more “God Like.” He promised to match her seven-figure earnings if she agreed, which she did.

Pisciotta Claims West Fired Her After Sending Lewd Messages

Pisciotta claims West then began sending her increasingly explicit text messages. “See my problem is I be wanting to f***,” one message read. “But then after I f*** I want a girl to tell me how hard they been f***ed while I’m f***ing them. Then I want her to cheat on me.”

West would also allegedly describe his sexual fantasies in graphic detail and even sent at least two sex tapes featuring Kanye and a model. Furthermore, Pisciotta claimed West would ask if she could hear him masturbating during their phone calls.

In another text message, Kanye West allegedly questions, “Is my d*** racist?” before adding, “I’m going to stare at pictures of white woman with black a#### and beat the s*** out of my racist d***.”

Pisciotta claims West then promoted her to Chief of Staff and gave her a $4M salary. She claims she was fired in 2022 but never received the $3M severance payment West offered.

She sued Kanye West for breach of contract, sexual harassment, wrongful termination and a hostile work environment.

Drake Roasted Over “Wah Gwan Delilah” Remix With Toronto TikToker Snowd4y

Drake’s new “Wah Gwan Delilah” collab had fans wondering if they were listening to an AI-generated song as the Toronto megastar hopped on the remix of Snowd4y’s “Hey There Delilah” parody.

Late on Monday night (June 3), a highly autotuned version of the Plain White T’s song dripping with Toronto slang appeared on SoundCloud. However, fans were unsure whether the Drake feature was really him or yet another AI impersonation of the OVO honcho.

“Wah gwan, Delilah? Know I’m late ’cause there’s bare traffic / I just show my dog your ‘Gram / He said he knows a man that slapped it, I’m so cheesed / Your mademoiselle nights are geeked, I’m bent lowkey,” Drake raps on the song.

“Wah Gwan Delilah” began trending on X (Twitter) as users began roasting the song, doubtful the Drizzy feature was genuine.

“I refuse to believe Wah Gwan Delilah and Grippy are the first 2 tracks post the Kendrick beef,” one person wrote. “Ain’t no way.”

Nonetheless, Drake confirmed the track via Instagram hours after its release. He posted the song while urging Snowd4y to “wake up the city.”

Donald Trump Is A Hit On TikTok

Donald Trump marked his TikTok debut at a UFC event in Newark, New Jersey, amid the buzz of over 20,000 fans.

The former President, now calling himself “President Donald Trump” on his profile, shared his first post from UFC 302, capturing his entrance at the high-profile event.

The video, captioned “@realdonaldtrump Launching my TikTok at @ufc” with the tag “original sound – President Donald J Trump,” quickly amassed staggering engagement: more than 50 million views, over 109,000 comments, and 2.8 million likes.

Trump’s venture onto the popular social media platform comes just two days after a New York jury found him guilty of 34 counts related to falsifying business records.

Despite the legal turbulence, Donald Trump seemed unperturbed, mingling with long-time associate and UFC CEO Dana White.

The audience erupted in applause as White announced, “The president is now on TikTok,” and many onlookers gave Trump a standing ovation as he exited the arena.

Throughout the evening, Trump watched as Islam Makhachev successfully defended his title, sharing his in-the-moment experiences with the digital world.

The TikTok post also noted a swift rise in followers, with the account gaining nearly three million within 18 hours of its creation.

One enthused follower commented, “I’m so ready!! Now TikTok is gonna get fun!”

It’s a striking turn from Trump’s previous stance on the app, having once tried to ban TikTok on grounds of national security concerns.

“There is credible evidence that leads me to believe that ByteDance might take action that threatens to impair the national security of the United States,” Trump stated in an executive order back in August 2020.

The convergence of legal woes and social media fanfare paints a complex picture of Trump’s present moment.

His TikTok debut not only shifts attention away from his recent legal struggles but also reinvents his public persona in a landscape he once deemed hazardous.

2 Live Crew’s Uncle Luke Reveals Fellow Member Brother Marquis Has Died

2 Live Crew member Brother Marquis has died. Fellow member Uncle Luke confirmed his passing in an Instagram post on Monday (June 3). He simultaneously revealed 2 Live Crew—which consisted of Luke, Marquis, Fresh Kid Ice and Mr. Mixx—was still fighting to get its catalog back.

“My Condolence goes out to the Family of Brother Marquis and so many of his Fans from around the World after learning his passing,” he wrote. “We took on so many fights for the culture made Great music together something I would never forget .We had recently got back together to take on another fight to get back our catalog that was stolen from us.

“We will continue that fight in his name for his Family. The Brother Marquis, that I know would want us to celebrate his life that’s exactly what I’m gonna do. R.I.P My Brother.”

Uncle Luke’s post elicited plenty of comments from his fans and peers, including DJ Premier, who wrote, “My guy Marquis. Always showed Love to Gang Starr. Rest Peacefully KING.” Luke shared another Instagram post with a pair of photos of Brother Marquis but didn’t change the caption.

Brother Marquis played a pivotal role in shaping the sound of Miami bass that defined late ’80s era Hip-Hop. The raunchy and often controversial group cemented their status with the Miami bass hit “Throw the D” in 1986.
The group’s notoriety soared with their 1989 album As Nasty As They Wanna Be, which became the first album legally deemed obscene. Their struggle for free speech culminated in a Supreme Court victory in 1994, when their parody of “Oh, Pretty Woman” was ruled fair use.

Brother Marquis and Fresh Kid Ice carried forward their musical journey with new singles in 2016 and continued touring nationally even after major lineup changes. Fresh Kid Ice died in 2017 from complications related to cirrhosis.

Lil Skies Arrested After Car Accident In Pennsylvania

Authorities arrested Lil Skies for fleeing the scene of a car accident in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. According to the Chambersburg Police Department, the 25-year-old rapper was apprehended on May 20.

Lil Skies, whose real name is Kimetrius Foose, allegedly failed to provide his information to the other driver involved in the accident. He faced charges for damage to an attended vehicle.

Roughly a month before the arrest, Lil Skies spoke to AllHipHop about fatherhood and returning to the independent scene.

“Me being there in person, that counts more than the money,” Lil Skies said regarding his son. “That’s the biggest thing for me because I can’t get that back. The money wherever, that’s gonna be what it’s gon’ be. I can’t let that determine my happiness and for my son too. So, I try to be on that type of time, hands-on with it. I’ve been like that since I had him, since he was born. It’s natural at this point, it’s part of my life.”

Lil Skies also reflected on his time at Atlantic Records.

“I definitely went through some s###, it’s not easy,” he told AllHipHop. “I was signed to a label so it’s a lot of paperwork, lawyers. Back and forth, all this. But it’s done. Luckily when I got in with the label, I got in and I did good. My s### was selling, I was doing good. I had to pay back all this f###### bread, that’s the blessing of it. But it’s all learned. I’m still learning. A lot of people look at me like I have the answers to this s###. I really don’t, I’m learning like everybody else. I’m young still too, I’m still trying to figure it out.”

Lil Skies dropped Out Ur Body Music in March. It was his first solo project since leaving Atlantic.

Sexyy Red Walks Back Donald Trump Support Ahead Of Election

Sexyy Red said she’s not endorsing anyone for president despite her past support of Donald Trump. The polarizing rapper defended herself after using a stage prop resembling Trump’s MAGA hats.

“It’s Sexyy Red 4 President,” she wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter). “I’m my own candidate I’m not endorsing anybody period.”

She followed it up with a “Make America Sexyy Again” post. It was the same slogan featured on her stage prop.

Sexyy Red discussed her affinity for Trump in a 2023 interview with comedian Theo Von. She praised Trump for approving stimulus checks during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I like Trump,” she said. “Yeah, they support him in the hood. At first, I don’t think people was f###### with him. They thought he was racist, saying little s### against women. But once he started getting Black people out of jail and giving people that free money, aww baby, we love Trump. We need him back in office. We need him back because, baby, them checks. Oooh yes, them stimulus checks. Trump, we miss you. I like Trump … I love Trump though. He funny to me … He funny! We need people like him.”

Trump was convicted of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records on May 30. He falsified documents to cover up a hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels, illegally influencing the 2016 presidential election.

A New York judge will sentence Trump on July 11. He plans to appeal his conviction.

Trump, the first U.S. president convicted of a crime, awaits trial in three more criminal cases. Two of the cases are related to election interference. One has to do with his mishandling of classified documents. Trump pleaded not guilty to all the charges. The remaining trials aren’t expected to begin before the 2024 presidential election.

Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus Tour Becomes Highest-Grossing Rap Event Of 2024

Travis Scott continues to break records in 2024. As of Monday (June 3), Scott’s Circus Maximus tour has become the highest-grossing live rap show circuit of the year. The feat alone now allows Scott to stand amongst the top ten highest-grossing touring artists, alongside giants like U2, Madonna and Depeche Mode.

To be exact, the Grammy-nominated rapper’s 44-date North American Circus Maximus tour grossed an impressive $95.7 million while attracting a whopping 686,000 attendees. The tour also broke multiple merchandise sale records across various states and also saw Scott make history as the first rapper to headline a sold-out show at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

Additionally, Scott’s UTOPIA album has surpassed 50 billion global streams amid the massive North American leg of the tour. Now, Scott looks to conquer stadiums and arenas across the pond during the upcoming European leg of the tour, set to start later this month.

Though it doesn’t kick off until June 28 at the GelreDome in the Netherlands, the European leg of the tour is already generating massive numbers and has already grossed $49.9 million with 425,271 tickets sold. Produced by Live Nation, the tour includes sold-out shows at major venues like the Rhein Energie Stadion in Cologne, Germany, and the Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt, culminating in his largest-ever U.K. headline show at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

In light of the success of the tour, the Cactus Jack Foundation has launched a philanthropic initiative to support residents in his home state of Texas. For every ticket sold, one Euro/Pound will be donated to the Cactus Jack Foundation, which aims to uplift Houston youth through toy drives, scholarship programs for HBCU college students, and funding education and creative endeavors.

Scott and Cactus Jack’s philanthropy doesn’t stop there, either. Along with the “MELTDOWN” rapper’s newly launched special-edition AJ1 Elkins Jordan Brand shoe, Scott and the Cactus Jack Foundation have partnered with the Houston Food Bank and established a relief fund to provide emergency aid to thousands of hurricane-affected residents in Houston. Proceeds from the shoe sales supporting this initiative have been funneled through donations to support the aforementioned efforts.

Method Man Reaches His Breaking Point With Summer Jam: “Not Our Crowd”

Method Man declared he’s done with Hot 97’s Summer Jam after performing with Redman at the annual Hip-Hop festival on Sunday (June 2). The Wu-Tang Clan member admitted he felt out of place at this year’s concert, citing the generation gap.

“Not our crowd at all,” Method Man commented on Instagram. “Thanks again, New York and the whole tri-state (that showed up to the event) plus Pete [Rosenberg] and Ebro [Darden] I got love for you guys, but never again.. at this point the generation gap is just too wide for me.. #nevercomingback.”

The 53-year-old rapper’s sentiments were understandable. It once seemed unfathomable to think a New York tri-state crowd would be anything but ecstatic to see Method Man and Redman perform. The legendary artists are two of the biggest Hip-Hop stars from the area.

Method Man and Redman appearing at Summer Jam made sense on paper since the event was celebrating its 30th anniversary. But Hot 97 catered to a young audience with a lineup featuring Doja Cat, Sexyy Red, Davido and Cash Cobain, among others.

Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg, whom Method Man mentioned by name, acknowledged Tical’s frustrations.

“If this was my last summer jam moment with @methodman it was a good one,” Rosenberg wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter). “thanks for killing it as always and believe me I understand how you feel.”

Rosenberg’s post sparked a dialogue with Public Enemy’s Chuck D.

“I think the mixed packages are great you don’t do them for reactions you do them for lessons,” Chuck D wrote. “Meth and Red is like witnessing Simon and Garfunkel or Sam & Dave. Icons . Something you can say you saw in your life.. if your cultural life ‘means’ something. I played with BB King ..the legend of it keeps growing on me.”

Diddy’s Downfall: More Abuse Allegations Emerge As Ex-Employees Speak Out

Diddy’s ex-employees added to his public relations nightmare in an exposé published by The Daily Beast. Former staffers at Diddy’s Sean John brand and his defunct advertising agency Blue Flame shared stories of his abusive behavior in the workplace.

The former employees requested anonymity as they still feared retribution from Diddy despite his legal woes. The Bad Boy Records founder is the subject of a federal investigation and faces multiple lawsuits accusing him of sexual assault.

One woman who worked for Sean John recalled Diddy forcefully grabbing her by the face when she disagreed with him about a creative decision. The Hip-Hop mogul claimed he should be treated like fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. He allegedly grasped the woman’s face when she didn’t respond.

“At that point, I didn’t have a response to that, and he reaches out and he grabs my face,” she said. “He puts one hand on both sides of my cheeks and says ‘Stick out your tongue,’ and then he squeezes my face harder and yells at me to stick out my tongue, forces his hands on my face.”

Diddy told the woman he wanted to see if her tongue was bleeding because she was biting it.

“I started looking for a job immediately after that moment,” she said. “I just wasn’t interested in being there to deal with that kind of treatment. You have to really idolize him and see him as an icon. I didn’t. I was just there to do my job.”

The ex-employees described a toxic work environment in which Diddy verbally abused people and instilled a “culture of fear.” A former Sean John staffer said a company director would leave the building every time Diddy showed up due to their fear of his antics. The same person noted how workers came up with the phrase “catching a brick” to describe Diddy’s rage-fueled targeting of employees.

“It was as if you’re walking down the street and someone randomly threw a brick at your head out of the blue,” the former staffer said. “Out of the blue, if he was unhappy with something that you might not have done but he thought you did, you ‘caught a brick.”

The former employee revealed what happened when he “caught a brick” for the first time.

“I was surrounded by security guards, [who] rushed over—while [Diddy’s] six inches from my face, screaming at me, telling me I f##### up,” the person said.

A former Blue Flame worker reiterated many of the Sean John staff’s allegations while emphasizing Diddy’s mistreatment of women. She mentioned how his female assistants felt the need to warn newcomers.

“Everyone was kind of cautioned that, ‘Oh, he might say something weird or something off,’ but were told they should ‘just turn the other way,’” she said. “His assistants and representatives would be like, ‘We just keep it moving.’ He has so many assistants, I can’t remember who they all were.”

Surveillance footage of Diddy assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie surfaced in May. Rolling Stone also ran a story detailing his alleged history of violence, which dates back to his time in college. Federal investigators are reportedly preparing to bring his accusers in front of a grand jury soon, paving the way for a potential indictment.

Young Dolph’s Alleged Killers Learn New Start Date For Murder Trial

Shelby County Judge Jennifer Mitchell rescheduled the trial for two defendants in the Young Dolph murder case on Monday (June 3). According to multiple reports, Justin Johnson and Cornelius Smith will stand trial on September 23.

Johnson and Smith’s trial was previously scheduled to begin on Monday. Prosecutors and defense attorneys filed a joint motion seeking a delay on May 14. Both sides needed more time to litigate a technical issue requiring expert testimony. The court granted the motion.

Mia Jaye, Young Dolph’s longtime partner and the mother of his children, criticized the delay on social media. She explained her frustration with the legal system.

“It is truly hurtful that my family was robbed of a future,” she wrote in May. “My love’s life was taken… and to be left behind to see NO ONE be held accountable in the court of law for the act… is INSANE…. Our family has witnessed lenient bonds being granted, absurd requests approved for the defendants to get a [change of] venue motion, freedom, more time to build a stronger defense… witnessed songs be made, defendants enjoying life while on [house arrest]… all while our loved one is 6feet deep, waiting for JUSTICE to be served… talk about disheartening, unfair, triggering and hurtful.”

She continued, “For everyone who is like ‘trust the process’ our family has for 3 years, but the process & system is BROKEN (which is evident across ALL of Black America LBH… check the stats) and continuing to sit back allowing people to PLAY in your face isn’t trusting the process it is ignoring the process and giving room for any and everything wrong to happen, overlooking ACCOUNTABILITY.”

Young Dolph was shot and killed at a Memphis bakery in 2021. Four men were charged in connection to his murder.

Johnson, Smith and Hernandez Govan were hit with multiple charges, including first-degree murder. Govan allegedly ordered the hit on Young Dolph. Prosecutors accused Johnson and Smith of carrying out the attack.

Govan was released on bond. Johnson and Smith remain in jail. Johnson’s brother Jermarcus pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact in the case.

What Is Going On With Martin Lawrence?

Fans are buzzing with concern over Martin Lawrence’s health following some recent public appearances while promoting “Bad Boys: Ride or Die.” My first thought was, “Nothing could be going on with ol’ Marty Mar,” but let us unpack this.

Earlier this month, Martin and Will Smith teamed up for an interview with Extra to promote the movie. During the interview, fans noticed that Martin seemed to be speaking slower and slurring his words, which set off alarms.

Take a look at that:

The worries grew bigger after another promotional event for Bad Boys at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood last Thursday (May 30). It was a massive event. Will, wife Jada Pinkett Smith, and their kids Trey, Jaden, and Willow made a grand entrance on a double-decker bus. It seemed like Will was guiding Marty Mar by holding his hand, guiding him to the front of the bus. This added to the rumors that something was awry. What is going on with our dear brother?

“Did Will just help Martin walk? The way it looks Martin seems off,” one Instagram user commented. “Something is definitely happening with Martin 😮,” another user added. Some fans mentioned that Martin had recently lost his brother and also recall that he had a stroke a few years ago. In 1999, he suffered an apparent heat stroke and fell into a three-day coma. Could this be what is going on? We’ll just pray he’s ok as he rounds out 60 years of age.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die” is set to hit theaters on June 5.

Michael Rainey Jr. Admits He Wasn’t Blindsided By “Power Book II” Cancelation

The fourth season of Power Book II: Ghost will be the show’s last. The program centered around the Tariq St. Patrick character played by Michael Rainey Jr.

In March, Rainey claimed he found out about Power Book II: Ghost coming to an end at the same time as the public. The 23-year-old actor blamed the “higher-ups” for the decision in a viral video.

Michael Rainey Jr. stopped by The Breakfast Club to talk about the 50 Cent-produced crime drama. Host DJ Envy asked Rainey about allegedly getting blindsided about the cancelation.

“Nah, I was trolling. I took a page out of 50’s book with that one,” Rainey admitted. “I just knew it was going to stir the pot, I knew people were going to react to it.”

Additionally, the film/television veteran said, “They told me before everyone knew. But I just wanted to troll everybody, and I knew it was going to get a reaction out of people.”

Michael Rainey Jr. began playing Tariq St. Patrick on the original Power which ran for six seasons from 2014 to 2020. The spinoff, Power Book II: Ghost, debuted in September 2020.

In March 2024, Rainey stated, “Portraying Tariq St. Patrick in the Power Universe has been an amazing platform, opening doors for young actors like myself, and I’m truly grateful for that.”

He continued, “While the ending of Book II may feel abrupt and disappointing, I choose to view it as a stepping stone for many of us as we transition into the next chapter of our careers.”

The final season of Power Book II: Ghost premieres on Friday, June 7. In addition to Michael Rainey Jr., the cast features Mary J. Blige, Method Man, Gianni Paolo, Woody McClain, Larenz Tate, Michael Ealy and more.

Rainey’s filmography includes appearances in movies such as 2012’s LUV with Common and 2016’s Barbershop: The Next Cut with Ice Cube. He also had a recurring role on the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black.
