50 Cent has been known to troll Lil Kim over her iconic dance moves, but he spared fans his slick commentary for once after a woman claimed the Brooklyn native’s trademark bounce saved her from a tragedy.
An Alabama woman has gone viral after a video of her describing how she escaped a terrifying drive-by shooting by mimicking Lil Kim’s signature dance.
Shariah Taylor explained to local news that she was outside her apartment complex when bullets started flying. She had to think quickly to protect her child from gunfire and save their lives.
Taylor claims she bust out the Queen Bee’s famous bob-and-weave from the classic “Quiet Storm (Remix)” video to help her escape.
“I hear pop, pop, pop, about 7 rounds,” Taylor said, recounting the WTVY. “So I’m dodging, I’m ducking, I’m dodging, I’m ducking, I’m dodging, doing my Lil Kim. I’m trying to get my baby in the car, then I threw my baby in the backseat and we just sped off.”
Luckily Taylor and her child were able to flee the dramatic encounter, although she still feels unsafe.
50 Cent shared a clip of the news report but passed up the opportunity to troll Lil Kim. However, he did see the funny side of the frightening encounter.
“IM DOING THE LITTLE KIM !!!” he wrote in the caption before adding a laughing emoji. “LOL.”
Back in 2021, Lil Kim claimed 50 Cent was “obsessed” with her after he mocked her moves. Fiddy compared her dancing to the title character from the 1993 horror film, The Leprechaun.
“Ur so Obsessed wit me this is getting creepy,” she wrote before calling him “lame” and “corny.”
The Game refuses to be drawn into rap beef even though fans are calling for him to come outside.
The battle between Hip-Hop’s “big three” has seen multiple diss tracks from Drake, Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole with several other rappers also jumping into the mix. R&B singers aren’t exempt, with Chris Brown sparring against Quavo.
The Game has had his fair share of rap beef, including a long-standing rivalry with G-Unit honcho 50 Cent and he’s facing calls to get in the mix once again.
The Joe Budden Podcast co-host Ice took to X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday (May 1) calling on a rapper to diss the Compton native.
“I want one of these rap n##### to diss Game,” he wrote. “Just so y’all can see what a proper diss record looks like.”
However, The Game says his peers know better than to say his name. He responded to Ice via Instagram, sharing his post alongside an explanation.
“My level of disrespect has no limit & I can actually rap rap,” he began. “Fans gone choose up with whatever artist is currently safe for the culture to love as a whole but every real rap n#### in this s### KNOW who to play with & who not to.”
Furthermore, The Game claims rap beef has become “watered down” and J. Cole’s apology to Kendrick Lamar made it even weaker.
“Hip hop/Rap or whatever yall calling it these days was already watered down,” he added. “Then Cole apologized and turned this s### into Kool-Aid wit no sugar.”
Earlier this week, Fat Joe shared his take on this generation of rappers battling.
“I don’t really like the present status of rap beef because I’m loyal to a fault,” he explained. “I can’t be your friend and make songs with you and make albums with you and then start exposing your secrets later and start dissing you. It just ain’t in me.”
Ryan Garcia Reportedly Tested Positive for Banned Substance Ahead of Haney Fight
In a shocking turn of events that’s sending ripples through the boxing world, Ryan Garcia has reportedly tested positive for the banned performance-enhancing drug Ostarine. This revelation comes in the aftermath of the brutal fight against champion Devin Haney. This has been confirmed by multiple sources familiar with the results of the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) testing. Boxing reporter Dan Rafael broke the news and it has already sent shockwaves in the sport!
Ostarine is one of the banned athletic substances due to its muscle-building and fat-cutting benefits. It was originally used for people suffering from osteoporosis and other degenerative diseases. It been on the World Anti-Doping Agency‘s (WADA) prohibited list for years! Using it in the sports arena is a serious offense.
There’s been a history of boxers using performance-enhancing drugs in boxing, but Garcia feels different. He beat the crap out of Devin Haney and also popped a lot of trash afterward. I feel he may need to face more serious repercussions because that man’s life was on the line in the ring! On top of it all, he did not make weight. So he went in there bigger and also on that dope? NASTY WORK! Garcia also started lining up other foes to beat. I am now wondering what the punishment will be for the self-proclaimed “face of boxing.” Will he now be forced to rematch Haney to restore his reputation?
An email has purportedly confirmed an allegation made by Kendrick Lamar on his recent Drake diss track, “euphoria.” The former Top Dawg artist accused Drake of trying to interfere with Future and Metro Boomin’s smash hit “Like That,” which famously featured K. Dot dissing the Canadian star.
“Try cease and desist on the ‘Like That’ record?/Hoe, what? You ain’t like that record?” Kendrick rapped on “euphoria.”
Lamar’s allegation was seemingly corroborated in a leaked email, which surfaced on Discord. The unauthenticated email showed one of Drake’s labels, Republic Records, attempting to block the release of “Like That” for radio play.
A Discord user claimed they obtained the email from a friend who works at Republic. Universal Music Group’s Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs Corey Williams supposedly sent the email to Epic Records executive Bekah Connoly.
“Per our conversation last week, we are not granting radio rights for ‘Like That,” the message read. “Epic does not have the right to release this song at radio. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.”
Drake and Metro both have deals with Republic, a subsidiary of UMG. Future and Metro released their We Don’t Trust You album, which featured “Like That,” under exclusive license to Epic in conjunction with Republic.
If the email is legitimate, efforts to hamper “Like That” were unsuccessful. The song received plenty of radio play and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Drake responded to “Like That” by releasing the diss tracks “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made Freestyle.” Kendrick Lamar fired back with “euphoria” on Tuesday (April 30).

Russell Simmons is being accused of forging a woman’s signature on a document that supposedly dates back nearly 30 years. A lawsuit filed by “Jane Doe,” a former Def Jam Recordings employee who claims to be another one of Simmons’ sexual assault victims, suggests the Def Jam co-founder falsified a document.
Court docs explain Ms. Doe felt appalled when Simmons, without remorse, failed to acknowledge the gravity of his alleged assault on her. Only after learning of potential legal action in November 2023 as part of the Adult Survivors Act did he express a vague apology through a friend. Later, during legal proceedings, it emerged that a document purportedly settling their dispute existed. However, this document raised several red flags: inconsistencies in dates, handwriting and company letterhead.
“The document is an Adobe pdf file titled ‘Agreement – Jane Doe v. Russell Simmons,’ although the words ‘[Doe] – Executed Document.pdf’ also appear in the body of the file at the top of each page,” the docs state. “The metadata for the file states ‘Created: March 24, 2024.’ The document is dated ‘January 9, 1997’ at the top of each page, but states ‘[Jane Doe] 1-6-97′ at the bottom of each page.”
Ms. Doe denies ever signing it and contests its authenticity. Even if genuine, the document’s scope doesn’t cover her rape claim against Simmons, focusing instead on her departure from Def Jam and minor financial matters. Simmons’ behavior post-dating the alleged agreement, including confrontational actions, undermines its validity. Thus, even if the document were authentic—which Doe’s attorneys insist isn’t—it wouldn’t release Doe’s claims of rape against Simmons.
Doe is requesting “general, punitive and economic damages for loss of employment, loss of business opportunities, loss of wages.” She also wants Simmons and to compensate her “for injuries suffered as a result of the unlawful conduct alleged herein.”
Simmons has been hit with multiple lawsuits since 2017. Doe is one of 20 women who allege abuse at the hands of Simmons, who vehemently denies the allegations. In 2023, he sat down for an interview on “In Depth with Graham Bensinger” in which he discussed the controversy.
“I’ve never been violent to anybody,” Simmons said. “Of course I’ve been insensitive, but certainly never been forceful in any of my relationships, all of which I’ve had have been consensual.”
Simmons revealed he also had “thousands” of sexual partners, adding, “I was in so many compromising situations that people can have a recollection from 30 or 40 years ago, and it can be different from my recollection.” He said the number of women he slept with was in part due to the culture at the time.
“I think that the culture and the climate was different, and the way people interacted was different,” he said. “I think to judge 40 years ago as if it was today, we get in trouble. We have to accept where we were and move on and be somewhere else in the future if we don’t like where we were. And I think we’re doing that now. And I think that’s the good that comes with Me Too.”
He also said he’d taken “nine lie detector tests,” in which he attested to having “never done this to anyone.”
Authorities arrested Lil Tjay on a warrant at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport on Tuesday (April 30), which happened to be his birthday. The 23-year-old rapper reacted to reports of his arrest on Wednesday (May 1).
“I AINT HEAR NUN THE BLOGS SAID CAUSE WHERE IM AT IT AINT NO SERVICE,” he wrote on Instagram. “500 ON MY BDAY S### BOUT NUN I DESERVE IT.”
Lil Tjay, whose real name is Tione Jayden Merritt, was reportedly arrested due to a missed court date. He was released on a $500 bond.
Last year, the NYPD arrested Lil Tjay while he livestreamed the confrontation on Instagram. Cops took him into custody after catching him waving a fake gun out of the sunroof of a moving vehicle. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, reckless endangerment and obstructing governmental administration.
Details of Lil Tjay’s latest arrest emerged around the same time rumors spread about him supposedly dating Brittni Mealy, the mother of Future’s son Prince. Mealy denied the rumors on Wednesday.
“Let’s be clear cause yall blogs love a made up story let me clear this up immediately,” Mealy wrote on Instagram Stories. “TJAY is like my lil brother damn near my son age!! Yall are reaching to think it’s giving dating! Do yall know how old I am!! Absolutely nothing like that At all!”
She added, “It’s hella people around to try and single me out for some clicks is crazyyyyy! When I pop out yall won’t have to piece some s### together.”

Coi Leray cut ties with her father Benzino on Wednesday (May 1). The Island Records artist reached a breaking point as she became sick and tired of their association.
“I want everybody to know I want nothing to do with anything my father has going on,” she wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter). “I haven’t spoken to him in over a year and I don’t condone or respect any of them interviews he got going on. I don’t respect his decisions and I really want nothing to do with him please dont even think of me when you see him.”
Coi Leray voiced frustration with her father’s antics in the past. The 26-year-old rapper possibly wanted to distance herself from Benzino because he recently defended R. Kelly on the We in Miami podcast.
“Sharing the same DNA and blood DOESN’T make us FAMILY,” she wrote. “Loyalty, boundaries, respect, teaching, guidance, love, patience, encouragement MAKES US FAMILY.”
Last year, Benzino accused his daughter of trying to ruin his reputation. The controversial rapper denied being a bad father after Coi Leray discussed their relationship on Angie Martinez’s IRL podcast. Coi Leray clarified her remarks in response to her dad’s outrage.
“It just seems like every single time, instead of you congratulating me and being happy for me, you want to go online and try to use me to prove yourself to these people and this industry on why you feel like you didn’t get the respect or whatever it is that you deserve,” she said on Instagram Live. “I don’t want to be your clout kid.”
Coi Leray was often the main topic when Benzino received media attention over the past few years. That changed when Eminem injected new life into their old feud in January. Eminem dissed Benzino on the song “Doomsday Pt. 2,” leading to Benzino dropping two diss tracks.
Denzel Curry is convinced lyricism will see a resurgence in Hip-Hop thanks to Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s ongoing rap beef.
Amid the aftermath of K. Dot’s incendiary “euphoria” diss track, Curry has opted to make his opinion clear before the dust cloud settles. In part, he’s revealed to some degree that he thinks the tooth and nail battle Drake and Kendrick are engaged will end up being beneficial for the entire rap game, rather than just for the sole benefit of top dawg bragging rights.
“It took two of the biggest artist in the world to diss each other for people to appreciate lyricism,” Curry wrote in his initial retort.
In a follow-up remark, Denzel Curry laid out both sides of the the beef, based on a summery of the vantage points Drake and Kendrick Lamar appear to be sizing up and eyeing each other from.
“One rapper claims the other rapper needs features from pop stars to be on his level,” he wrote in part before adding, “While one rapper claims the other rapper needs street artist to justify that he’s Black.
One rapper claims the other rapper needs features from pop stars to be on his on level
While the one rapper claims the other rapper needs street artist to justify that he’s black
Curry also suggested “Cole definitely knew what was gonna happen,” alluding to the idea that it’s part of the reason he removed his “7-Minute Drill” diss from streaming—even though the record debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100 Chart.
What do y’all think? Is lyrical rap back on the rise or is Curry being overly optimistic?
Check out the posts featuring Curry’s tweets above.
Dallas Penn, former co-host of TheCombat Jack Show and longtime writer, has died. His wife, who goes by Chocolate Snowflake (C.S.), made the announcement on his personal Facebook page Wednesday morning (May 1).
“Dallas has ascended to the music that was waiting for him,” she wrote. “From September 1970 to April 2024, he always said it don’t stop, it won’t stop, and he’s waiting for us all at the Funkadelic Stevie Wonder Sean Price party in the sky. Rest my love and see you in our other lifetimes. Love you always, for all time.”
Upon further exploration of Penn’s page, it’s clear how sick he was. On April 18, Penn, who was diabetic, revealed he was typing from a hospital bed and being moved to the intensive care unit. He also noted he’d been enrolled in the World Trade Center Health Program and the latest health issue he was facing.
“I’m enrolled in the WTC health program which tracks the various acute ailments being suffered by the folks exposed within the pit,” he explained. “In the last few days I experienced what should have been a fatal bowel perforation. The opening was larger than a quarter and leaking gas, fluids and waste material thru my gutular setup. The old man on the street whom we castigate for being homeless would at least be honest when he says I’m filled with s###. My kidneys shut down. They stopped completely. My blood pressure sank and my heart was packing it’s bag.”
He continued, “I looked towards my wife one last time and I promised her I would find her in the multiverse. C.S. said eff the MCU, I’m going to see you in the ICU. Then she put me in the care of a trusted physician who held my hand as I crossed thru the dark side. I confronted many Dallas’ on this journey. The Dallas Who Remains is the one sending the shout to the Internets. Thank you for your love and your concern. I’m still standing. Better than I’ve ever been. Feeling like a true survivor. Smiling like a little kid. We’ll chat sooner than later!”
Sadly, Penn wasn’t able to bounce back. A plethora of posts have flooded Twitter (X) with memories of Penn. Eric and Jeff Rosenthal of ItsTheReal touched on Penn’s contributions to New York City, fashion and Hip-Hop culture.
“Our hearts are heavy with the Dallas Penn news,” they wrote. “For the best part of the past two decades, our NYC/hip-hop/internets lives have been intertwined. We’re grateful for the time we had and so sorry it was this limited. May the Polo discounts fly wherever you are, Dallas. RIP.”
Penn talked about his love for Polo and other fashion brands in a 2014 piece he wrote for Complex. He wrote, “Polo, Guess, Reebok, and Timberland were basically my high school staples, especially in my junior and senior years. The Polo rugby was harder than anything anyone has ever made. The color palette just popped off the shirt and those crests just signified luxury to a working class kid like myself. I really haven’t deviated from the brand too much since the mid-’80s. Yeah, I’ve bought all kinds of crap that fell under the auspices of hip-hop clothing but none of that s### was as timeless as Polo RL was/is.”
DJ Rob Swift of the X-ecutioners was also moved to pen a tribute, writing, “RIP @Dallas_Penn. Some who come across this tweet won’t realize how much of a trailblazer you were in Hip Hop. It was you who introduced me and many of my peers to internet streaming in the ‘90s. Thank you for your contributions to our culture. I’ll always remember your smile.”
The Combat Jack Show was launched in 2010 by former managing editor of The Source, Reginald Joseph Ossé (Combat Jack). In addition to Penn, co-hosts included Premium Pete, DJ Benhameen, AKing and Just Blaze. In 2013, The Combat Jack Show became the flagship of a network of podcasts founded by Ossé known as the Loud Speakers Network. Ossé died in 2017 from colon cancer at the age of 48.
Around the 11-minute mark of the below YouTube video, Penn talks about needing a toe removed due to diabetes-related complications.
Brittni Mealy, the mother of Future’s son Prince, denied rumors she’s romantically involved with rapper Lil Tjay on Wednesday (May 1). Mealy scoffed at the speculation after amateur sleuths thought they found proof of them dating on Instagram Stories. The “evidence” was Mealy and Lil Tjay posting videos of what appeared to be the same plane.
“Let’s be clear cause yall blogs love a made up story let me clear this up immediately,” Mealy wrote on social media. “TJAY is like my lil brother damn near my son age!! Yall are reaching to think it’s giving dating! Do yall know how old I am!! Absolutely nothing like that At all!”
Mealy was surprised to see herself as the subject of such rumors. Mealy insisted she wasn’t interested in being coy about her love life, so there was no need for guessing games.
“It’s hella people around to try and single me out for some clicks is crazyyyyy!” she wrote. “When I pop out yall won’t have to piece some s### together.”
Mealy specifically called out the Instagram account IG Model Tea Room. The private page has almost 130,000 followers.
“Very much fake news!” she wrote on a screenshot of the account. “Stop it!!!!!”
Lil Tjay previously complained about lies spreading online in 2023. The Columbia Records co-signed comments made by Rod Wave, who criticized blogs for posting infidelity rumors.
“Internet dead lieeee on my name about mad s###,” Lil Tjay wrote on Instagram Stories. “fr [and] it’s neverrrrr positive smh.”
Lil Tjay released his latest album 222 in 2023. It peaked at No. 24 on the Billboard 200.
Fulton County prosecutors unsuccessfully attempted to introduce videos of Lil Wayne talking about Young Thug as evidence in the YSL RICO trial on Wednesday (May 1). Judge Ural Glanville refused to let the prosecution introduce the videos unless Lil Wayne testified.
Chief Deputy District Attorney Adriane Love repeatedly argued for the videos on a day when Judge Glanville heard motions outside of the jury’s presence. Love failed to convince the judge why the videos should be introduced if Lil Wayne did not testify.
“It seems like you all are trying really hard not to call [Lil Wayne] and that’s your choice,” Glanville told Love, per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Jozsef Papp. “If you don’t call him, my ruling will stand on these particular exhibits that you are trying to introduce.”
The possibility of Lil Wayne testifying was related to a 2015 shooting involving his tour bus. Young Thug affiliate PeeWee Roscoe was accused of shooting Lil Wayne’s tour bus in Georgia.
PeeWee Roscoe, whose real name is Jimmy Winfrey, pleaded guilty to six of the 27 charges he faced for the shooting in 2015. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison and 10 years of probation. His conviction was overturned in 2018.
Winfrey entered an Alford plea for two of the charges in 2020. An Alford plea treats the defendant like they pleaded guilty but allows the person to maintain their innocence.
Lil Wayne will not testify in the Young Thug trial, but the Young Money founder’s tour bus driver Alvin Lewis is expected to take the stand on Monday (May 6). Lewis sued Young Thug, Birdman and Winfrey over the shooting in 2016.
Young Thug’s trial began in November 2023. It is already the longest trial in Georgia history. Young Thug has remained in jail since his 2022 arrest.
Alicia Keys’s Hell’s Kitchenheads into the 77th Annual Tony Awards with 13 nominations. The semi-biographical musical tied Stereophonic for the most noms in 2024.
Hell’s Kitchen made it into the Best Musical category. Three performers from the show also earned acting nods. Additionally, Michael Greif scored a Best Direction of a Musical nomination.
Alicia Keys took to the X social media platform to celebrate the Tony Awards recognition. On Tuesday (April 30), the R&B legend tweeted, “13 TONY Nominations is worthy of popping a bottle at 7 am.”
Swizz Beatz, the husband of Alicia Keys, also filmed the 16-time Grammy Award winner’s reaction to the news of Hell’s Kitchen receiving 13 Tony noinations.
In addition, the couple’s two children also took part in the celebration. 13-year-old Egypt and 9-year-old Genesis predict their mother will walk away from Tony Award night as a big winner.
Swizz Beatz also posted on Instagram, “13 MF Tony nominations. This is a nomination for each [year] I witnessed you work on your magical musical Hells Kitchen. Congrats. Tory Lanez has become a lightning rod for many music fans. The currently incarcerated R&B performer’s legacy got tainted after being convicted of firearm and assault charges.
However, one of Tory Lanez’s musical peers still showed support for the Canadian-born Daystar Peterson. “Favorite Song” singer Toosii shared his opinion of Lanez on X.
“Love or hate him Tory Lanez [is] one of the most talented [artists] of this generation,” Toosii tweeted on Tuesday (April 30). That post amassed more than 5,000 likes.

In December 2022, a California jury found Peterson guilty of assault with a semiautomatic handgun, having a loaded and unregistered firearm in a vehicle and gross negligence in discharging his firearm.
“If I could change it, I would, but I can’t,” Lanez stated after finding out his fate in the trial. “Everything I did that night, I take full responsibility.”
Before being sent to prison, Tory Lanez put out several studio albums. His catalog includes 2016’s I Told You, 2018’s Memories Don’t Die, 2021’s Alone at Prom and 2020’s Sorry 4 What.
GloRilla has women twerking to her “Wanna Be” single featuring Megan Thee Stallion. The Tennessee native wants the world to know her body control abilities go beyond just sexually suggestive dancing.
“Mfs luv talking about sex appeal baby f### da sex appeal I got DA SEX dats what’s gone get ya n#### took in real life, P#### GOOD CHECK,” GloRilla tweeted on Monday (April 29).
The Ehhthang Ehhthang mixtape creator wrote, “Ion gotta do allat extra s### Fym you hoes be sexy ash with no walls coochie dry asf f### outta here.”

Big Glo also got into a highly publicized, heated back-and-forth with City Girls member JT in April. The Memphis representative and the Miami representative fired blatant shots at each other on social media.
The Ehhhthang Ehhhthang track “Aite” kicked off the latest round of tension between GloRilla and JT. That song came after rumors suggested that Glo initiated a physical altercation. The confrontation allegedly happened backstage at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.
Drake and Nicki Minaj rose to superstardom as part of the Young Money crew. As Drake engages in a lyrical battle with Kendrick Lamar, the Canadian’s “Needle” collaborator showed him love on social media.
Nicki Minaj brought out Drake during her Pink Friday 2 Tour stop in Drizzy’s hometown of Toronto. The surprise appearance made news because the OVO boss told the crowd, “You know what time it is, you know what I gotta do.”
Many Hip-Hop fans assumed that Drake delivered that message in response to Kendrick Lamar’s “Euphoria” diss track which dropped on Tuesday (April 30). Lamar blasted his adversary on multiple fronts throughout the six-minute record.
In addition to dissing Drake on the “Euphoria” song, Kendrick Lamar also warned, “Field goal, punt y’all n#####, they punk y’all n#####, nobody never took my food. Whoever that’s f#####’ with him, f### you n#####, and f### the industry too.”
Apparently, Nicki Minaj did not take Lamar’s warnings on “Euphoria” too seriously. The Pink Friday 2 album creator still shouted out Drake on the X platform following his pop-up at her Tuesday night show in Canada.
“Looking through my DRICKI pics & they came out so cute. Awwwwwwwww. He made me so happy tonight by coming out. Them screams be REAL different when the boy touch down chi. Posting some IG content shortly,” Nicki Minaj tweeted.

Kendrick Lamar apparently has another 13 minutes of material that he omitted from his bombshell Drake diss “Euphoria.”
K. Dot surprised fans on Tuesday morning (April 30), with a six-minute-long track bombing on Drizzy. Fans ate up the highly anticipated response to Drake’s “Push Ups (Drop & Give Me 50)” and “Taylor Made Freestyle,” with many declaring him the winner of the first round.
However, despite debatably beating both of Drake’s first-round entries, Lamar dropped a version of “Euphoria” allegedly less than half the length of the original.
According to his former labelmate Daylyt, who’s signed to TDE, Lamar has a version of “Euphoria” that clocks in at nearly 20 minutes long.
Daylyt spilled the beans on X (formerly Twitter), claiming K. Dot has plenty more in the tank. “Crazy part is this not even the full song smh,” he shared. “S### I herd was like 19 mins smh.”
If Daylyt is to be believed, Lamar might be planning to drop another diss before Drake can respond, which looks set to be soon. Drake ended his surprise set at Nicki Minaj’s Toronto tour stop with a message. “You know what time it is. You know what I got to do,” he stated before exiting the stage.
Nonetheless, it’s worth noting that Daylyt recently suggested K. Dot wouldn’t respond unless Drake got his “weak” bars up. He even urged the OVO honcho to “go off” on K. Dot in a 10-minute Funk Flex or LA Leakers freestyle to draw him out.
“I’m saying this to Drake,” he said in an Instagram Live chat before “Euphoria” dropped. “If y’all want that man Kendrick to reply, tell Drake to drop a song where he rapping for real. From a lyricist’s standpoint. To where people say, ‘Oh my God! This is Crazy.’ And that man will have to reply. Because then you tap into the lyrical side of it. You tap into the rapper side of it.”
He added, “If a n#### threatening your rap position, that man ain’t got no other choice but to reply. Because now he’s got n##### saying, ‘Yo, Kendrick. Drake might be lyrically better than you.’ And that’s the last thing he wants anybody to say.”

Kendrick Lamar dropped a bomb on the Hip-Hop world on Tuesday (April 30). The West Coast MC released his “Euphoria” response track directed at Drake, and many people on social media have weighed in on the record.
“Ain’t twenty-v-one, it’s one-v-twenty if I gotta smack n##### that write with you. Yeah, bring ’em out too, I’ll clean ’em out too,” Kendrick Lamar rapped about Drake’s alleged ghostwriters on “Euphoria.”
Drake was not the only person to catch direct shots on Lamar’s internet-breaking song. The OVO Sound leader’s frequent collaborator, Lil Yachty, also got a mention from the pgLang founder.
“I’m allergic to the lame s###, only you like bein’ famous. Yachty can’t give you no swag neither. I don’t give a f### ’bout who you hang with,” Kendrick Lamar rhymed on the diss record.
After “Euphoria” hit the internet, eagle-eyed X users noticed Lil Yachty liked a tweet dissing K. Dot. The post by @drizzyys read, “So who was raising your child while you were out cheating on your wife with white women? @kendricklamar.”
Screenshots of Lil Yachty liking that Drake fan’s tweet spread across the X platform. The Atlanta, Georgia-bred songwriter responded by tweeting, “S### was an accident lmao.”
Veteran battle rapper Ness Lee has come forward claiming he is the ghostwriter who penned Benzino’s Eminem diss “Rap Elvis.”
Rumors that Lee was the mystery writer began after a video from the studio had been leaked featuring Benzino and Lee crafting the diss. However, Lee remained silent on the rumors until now.
During a recent interview with Trap Newz Daily, Ness Lee confirmed he wrote “Rap Elvis” for Benzino but insisted he had nothing to do with dissing the late Proof on his earlier diss “Vulturius.”
“I just wanted to do something historic,’ Less said, explaining why he agreed to be Benzino’s ghostwriter. “I felt like I could accomplish writing the greatest diss song toward Eminem. That’s all I wanted to do.”
However, he’s unhappy the studio video leaked revealing him as the writer. “It was never supposed to be public that it was me. This is my first interview and probably my only interview about it,” Lee asserted.
Nonetheless, Lee worries his reputation in Detroit may already be ruined because of Benzino’s Proof diss, despite him having nothing to do with “Vulturius.” Additionally, Lee called the late Detroit rapper “my big brother,” and claimed Benzino left his “rest in peace” to Proof on “Rap Elvis” on the cutting room floor.
“He was eventually going to sign me back in ‘03,” he was the first person to show me love in the industry, battle rap or whatever,” Lee added. “I would never disrespect that man like that.”
Ness Lee explained that he only came forward to clear the air following the aftermath.
“I’ve been getting some concerned messages from some of my brothers from Detroit,” Lee explained. “I had to tell them that I had nothing to do with that one. I physically do not write that basic.”
Benzino Rejects Ghostwriter Allegations
Meanwhile, Benzino denied having a ghostwriter during an Instagram chat with fans earlier this year.
“This is Hip Hop, bro. I don’t wanna hear that ghostwriter s###,” he snapped. “Shut the f### up, bro. You mad because I’m spitting. I wrote that s###.”
Joe Budden has been closely following the battle between Hip-Hop’s “big three” and says Kanye West needs to stay out of it.
On the latest episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, he shared his take on Kanye West dissing Drake on his “Like That” remix. According to Budden, Ye missed his chance and needs to stop interfering.
“Kanye, sit your f###### ass down somewhere,” Budden boomed. “Mind your f###### business. This is not about you. This is some attention-seeking s### that you’re doing.
He claimed that “Kanye has been trying to insert himself in this since the beginning,” after ignoring Drake when he should have dissed him.
“You had your shot. That n#### was gunning for you,” he continued. “Y’all all ran except for Pusha.”
Furthermore, Joe Budden said the only person in Kanye West’s camp he wants to hear diss Drake is Pusha T.
“It’s not smooth when it’s not your beef,” he added. “You are making this all about you when you had a shot already. Move! You are taking attention away from our main event.”
Elsewhere on the podcast, Budden also reacted to West’s appearance on Justin LaBoy’s The Download podcast.

T.I. had some practical advice for an aspiring rapper who hoped he would change her life.
An artist who goes by the name Tropicana approached T.I. asking to rap for him, hoping to sign to his label. She began spitting aggressively before asking his opinion.
“Listen,” he began. “Let me tell you something. Stop running up to n##### think they gone change your life. Ain’t nobody gone change your life but you.”
When Trapicana asked if he wouldn’t change her life, T.I. responded with an emphatic “Hell naw,” insisting she holds her destiny in her hands.
“I’m helping you by telling you don’t look for a n#### like me to change your life. You got everything you need already. It’s in you, don’t look to me,” he stated.
Nonetheless, Trapicana was undeterred. “I feel like it’s in you, though,” she persisted.
“NO! If you do what you need to do, I’m gone come find you. You ain’t got to come find me. You could reach all your fans right there,” he told her, pointing into the camera to indicate where her audience lies.”
Trapicana tried rapping for T.I. one more time but he stood firm and eventually his message hit home.
“Appreciate it. I needed that talk,” she told T.I. before they hugged it out.
She posted a video of the exchange on Instagram, joking that she took dinner with T.I. over $500K. “No food but atleast im full of knowledge,” she captioned the clip. ‘Thanks TIP.”
During a recent appearance on Shaquille O’Neal’s podcast, The Big Podcast with Shaq, T.I. shared his take on the current generation of rappers.
“I feel that, actually, what they’ve done with music is equivalent to if they were to open up the doors of the arena and say, ‘anybody think you can play basketball?” he explained. “Come on out the stands out here to the floor. Here go you a jersey, man. Get in the game”
