Sauce Walka Shows Off Damaged Car From His High-Speed Police Chase [VIDEO]

Albert “Sauce Walka” Mondane appears grateful that he survived a car crash and for being released on a $15,000 bond. The Houston-raised rapper still has to face possible legal ramifications from his alleged high-speed police chase.

News broke this week that Houston-area law enforcement arrested Sauce Walka for evading arrest. According to local authorities, the 33-year-old southerner reached 130 mph during the two-mile pursuit.

Sauce Walka has now addressed the situation. In a video shared on social media, The Sauce Factory frontman even showed off the apparent vehicle from the accident and offered thanks.

“I’m blessed highly favored and highly flavored,” Walka declared. “I don’t know how I do it every time but I come out untouched, unscathed, unblemished. That’s the god I am.”

He also added, “I want to say thank you to the universe, thank you to the stars, thank you to everything in this universe that brought me through this situation safely because I could’ve lost my life.”

The Sauce Ghetto Gospel 3 mixtape creator admitted that he has been “living wild” for a long time. Sauce Walka then said, “I’m going to try to calm down ’cause I know I’m a role model and people look up to me and follow me.”

Part of Sauce Walka’s “wild” past includes a deadly conduct conviction for a gun-related incident in 2009 as well as an alleged connection to gang activity. His first court appearance for the evading arrest with a vehicle charge is scheduled for today (December 8).

Cam’ron Threatens To Sue Melyssa Ford, Claims She Used To Have Sex In Bathrooms For Money

The beef between Cam’ron and Melyssa Ford is not over. A future round in the fight could include courtroom drama. Ford ignited the bad blood after criticizing Cam’ron for comments he and Ma$e made on the It Is What It Is sports show. Cam and Ma$e retold a story about “gang-banging” sex workers in the early 1990s.

In response, Ford suggested the two New York-bred rappers may have committed a crime. The Joe Budden Podcast co-host said, “Is there a distinct possibility that there may have been underage girls in that w#### house?”

Ford later publicly apologized to Cam and Ma$e. The popular ex-video model from Canada eventually admitted, “I apologize. I should never have made that insinuation.”

Cam’ron fired back at Melyssa Ford on It Is What It Is and on Instagram. His IG post included a photo with Ford. The caption read, “I told the b#### ‘don’t touch me’ when we took this pic. F### you and ya apology!!”

Apparently, Cam still holds some animosity towards Melyssa Ford. The Purple Haze album creator returned to social media to deliver another message for the former Blood, Sweat & Heels cast member.

Later in the Instagram Live session, Cam claimed his earlier Instagram post about Ford caused the platform to ban him from live-streaming for two days. He then seemingly threatened to file a lawsuit against Melyssa Ford and possibly The Joe Budden Podcast.

“I was going to leave it alone but then she said sorry which the sorry wasn’t even genuine. That s### was fake,” Cam’ron stated. “I don’t know who even convinced her to do the s###. But whoever did that was smart ’cause now if I sue n##### for defamation of character, I’m a sucker, right?”

The Dipset leader continued, “Now if I sue y’all n##### for defamation of character, I’m a sucker. Well, I might be a sucker, I just might be. I don’t know yet. I’m thinking about it, pause.”

Snoop Dogg Reveals Exactly How Much Money He Made From 1B Spotify Streams

Snoop Dogg is continuing to rail against the lack of transparency on streaming platforms, sharing what he made after racking up a billion Spotify streams.

Earlier this year, the Death Row Records honcho questioned why music-streaming services paid artists so little. He went viral following an “off-script” rant during a discussion about AI at The Milken Institute’s 2023 Global Conference in Beverly Hills in May.

Snoop Dogg asked, “Can someone explain to me how you can get a billion streams and not get a million dollars? That s### don’t make sense to me.

“I don’t know who the f### is running the streaming industry if you in here or not? But you need to give us some information on how to f###### track this money down,” he added, calling out the music executives in the room. “Because one plus one ain’t adding up to two.”

Snoop Dogg continued expressing his frustration over artist payouts during a recent interview. While appearing on the Business Untitled podcast, he recalled a conversation with his publisher about streaming payouts.

“They just sent me some s### from Spotify where I got a billion streams,” Snoop Dogg recalled. “My publisher hit me. I said, ‘Break that down. How much money is that?’ That s### wasn’t even $45,000.”

Snoop Dogg On Releasing Music As NFTs

He went on to explain what drew him and his son Cordell Broadus into putting out music as NFTs.

“So that was the part where me and my son was winning with the NFT metaverses. We were giving people the opportunity to say, “Give me your music. We going to take our split, but you get yours and you got your own wallet and every time it sells it shows you, so it ain’t no secrets.’ Ain’t no, ‘You got to get a billion streams to get $45,000.’ Nah, you sell a hundred, and if you selling it for $10 you do the math.”

Nicki Minaj Accused Of Dissing Latto On “Pink Friday 2”

Nicki Minaj had fans in a chokehold after finally sharing Pink Friday 2, her first full-length offering in five years.

The NYC icon’s 22-track featured packed project arrived at midnight Friday (December 8), and listeners were lapping it up. Naturally, Nicki Minaj quickly became the No. 1 trending topic in the country.

However, one Pink Friday 2 song in particular, “Falling 4 U,” gathered much of the attention, with social media users highlighting a perceived diss to Latto on the track.

“SHE JUST DISSED LATTO AND SAID HER NAME….disrespectful Nicki ain’t holding s### back omg!” wrote one Nicki Minaj fan.

The “Falling 4 You” lyric in question was highly debated on the timeline.

In the third verse, Nicki raps: “Picture not listenin’ when I said that you would dread that.” The alleged shot at Latto comes in the next line, where Nicki Minaj says something that sounds like: “I mean Latto, you-you’s a chop ho.”

However, others pointed out Nicki was continuing the “dread” wordplay, saying, “I mean loc’d hoe”

Listen to “Falling 4 U” at the end of the page and check out some of the reactions below.

Nicki Minaj and Latto engaged in a highly-publicized feud last year that began as a dispute over Grammy nominations but quickly turned heated. The insults flew back and forth, and the beef continued to simmer.

Latto discussed the perceived beef among female rappers during an XXL interview last month.

“I think it really don’t be a problem until we let fans, Stans, whatever you want to call them, like the outsiders once they get in the mix. I think that’s what stirs the pot,” she explained. “Because it’s like, we will all be fans of each other and commenting and following each other, whatever, but then once they get to comparing, they will turn us against each other, which is very weak-minded of us as female rappers.”

Nicki Minaj Finally Unleashes “Pink Friday 2” With Drake, Lil Wayne, J. Cole & More

Nicki Minaj has returned with her first full body of work in over five years, Pink Friday 2

The highly anticipated and much-delayed project arrived 13 years after the original on Friday, December 8. Less than an hour before release, Nicki Minaj shared a visual teasing the Pink Friday 2 tracklist, finally giving The Barbz a glimpse of the stars appearing on her fifth studio LP.

The 22-track project clocks in at 70 minutes and includes features from the likes of Drake, Lil Wayne, J. Cole, Lil Uzi Vert, Future, Skillibeng, Skeng. Stream Pink Friday 2 at the end of the page.

An emotional Nicki Minaj took to social media Thursday evening (December 7) to express her gratitude to one of her collaborators, Finneas. The eight-time Grammy winner, who also happens to be Billie Eilish’s brother, co-wrote the Pink Friday 2 intro.

“Welp that did it for me…crying in less than 25 seconds of the intro,” she wrote on X. “Again. Finneas, if this finds you in #GagCity, God bless you I haven’t even been able to tell you about ALL the geniuses on this project.”

During a recent interview with Vogue, Nicki Minaj explained that she took a different approach on Pink Friday 2. “When I look back at a lot of my music, I’m like, Oh, my God, where was the me in it?” she shared. “So, for this album, I went back to the old game plan.”

Young Buck Catalog To Be Sold, But 50 Cent’s Still Breathing Down His Neck

A trustee found a buyer for Young Buck’s music catalog in his bankruptcy case. According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, trustee Erica R. Johnson will sell the rapper’s catalog for $730,000 barring any objections.

“The Trustee proposes to sell all of her right, title and interest in the Catalogs to Middleton Open Season Partners I LLC (the ‘Buyer’) in consideration of payment from the Buyer to the bankruptcy estate in the amount of Seven Hundred Thirty Thousand U.S. Dollars (U.S. $730,000.00),” Johnson wrote. “The closing of the sale shall occur when the Order approving this Motion is final and non-appealable (the ‘Closing Date’). Such funds shall be paid to the Trustee within fifteen (15) days of the Closing Date.”

Johnson added, “The Trustee believes that the sales price is fair and reasonable considering the valuation of the Catalogs given by the Broker.”

Young Buck’s ASCAP, Select-O-Hits, SoundExchange and Universal Music Publishing catalogs will be sold to Middleton in the deal. Johnson secured a buyer for the catalog with the help of a royalty analyst.

“The Trustee previously obtained court approval to employ Ben Stauffer, a Royalty Analyst with RoyaltyTraders LLC dba SongVest (the ‘Broker’), to assist the Trustee in selling the Catalogs,” Johnson wrote. “See Order Authorizing Employment of Broker to Sell Catalogs entered June 28, 2023. The Broker solicited offers from its network of approximately thirty (30) investors and ultimately found a party interested in purchasing the Catalogs.”

As of Thursday (December 7), the trustee held a $193,920 deposit in Young Buck’s bankruptcy estate. The pending influx of money will help pay several creditors, including thousands of dollars owed in child support.

Young Buck filed for bankruptcy in 2020. The rapper faced intense pressure from 50 Cent, who tried to collect a $250,000 debt from the former G-Unit member.

With 14 Baby Moms, Rapper Jay Fizzle Wants 50 Children And To Walk In Young Dolph’s Footsteps

Interview by Dizzy Scott

Jay Fizzle’s latest project, “F#ck Being Famous,” has just hit the scene, delivering a raw and unfiltered flow, coupled with a blend of street bravado and social media shenanigans. As the most enduring artist under the Paper Route Empire banner, there’s no sign of him easing up on the gas pedal. It’s worth noting that he also happens to be Young Dolph’s cousin, adding a distinctive dimension to his representation of PRE. AllHipHop recently caught up with Fizzle during his promotional tour for the new album, and he proved to be as engaging and entertaining as any rapper could hope to be.

In an emotionally charged interview, the Memphis-based rapper candidly shared his ambition to father a whopping 50 children, a number that currently stands at 22. (He’s rumored to have earned envy from none other than Nick Cannon.) Amidst the laughter and anecdotes, Fizzle also delved into the profound pain of losing his beloved King Dolph, offering a glimpse into the personal stories and unique perspectives that shape his life and unconventional existence in Memphis.

AllHipHop: So let me ask you something. Who’s your favorite rapper?

Jay Fizzle: Dolph. BG.

AllHipHop: Okay. Would you like to do a song with BG?

Jay Fizzle: For sure, for sure. I did some growing up.

AllHipHop: Hopefully, we can make this happen with you, because that’ll be very dope. Since you just said Young Dolph, it sounds like you looked up to him when you was younger as a-

Jay Fizzle: He my family. They proud and the only person I probably listen to. He is the reason I’m doing it, for sure. And the paper.

AllHipHop: Okay, so also we know that you’re from Memphis. So could you tell us about the crime in Memphis?

Jay Fizzle: They racist. I mean, crazy like. Y’all heard about it. It ain’t no secret. Probably the highest rate. If we ain’t, we up there for sure, for sure.

AllHipHop: I mean, I’ve been to Memphis before. I went to the Waffle House in Memphis.

Jay Fizzle: You know what I’m saying, you ain’t been down parts of Memphis, though.

AllHipHop: I mean, it went down in the Waffle House. As soon as I walked in there, they was already fighting.

Jay Fizzle: You know what I’m saying. It goes down, down there. That was some little stuff. I can’t believe they was just fighting.

AllHipHop: You went viral for this. I am not going to talk on it long, but I want to know, are you in a relationship with all 14 of your kids’ moms?

Jay Fizzle: I got more than that right now. But no. No.

AllHipHop: You got more than that?

Jay Fizzle: After we have kids, it’s probably going to be over with, because I don’t want to have two.

AllHipHop: You want to have two more kids?

Jay Fizzle: No, I’m saying I don’t want to have two by the same person. That’s why I dip.

AllHipHop: Okay, so you single, then?

Jay Fizzle: Yeah. You got to be ready for a baby, too.

AllHipHop: Oh, my goodness. I don’t know. So let’s talk about your album, F#ck Being Famous. So how did you come up with that title?

Jay Fizzle: That how I feel. That what mode I was in. You feel me? I ain’t tripping about the find. Like I said, I’m in this for the paper. That’s all I really want. You feel me?

AllHipHop: So being that you was the first artist signed to PRE, let’s talk about that. Let’s elaborate a little on being the first artist signed to PRE and how it was at that time, being that you was the first artist Dolph put on.

Jay Fizzle: I wasn’t really taking rap this serious, you feel me? ‘Cause bro was going so crazy, you feel me? I was just really enjoying it, you feel me? Cause it was different. We was going around the world and traveling. I wasn’t really even taking it that seriously. I ain’t started taking rap really seriously until bro died. So other than that, I don’t know.

AllHipHop: So also, do you have any memorable moments that you would like the fans to know about Young Dolph?

Jay Fizzle: Man, go get the money, man. Y’all know he preached, man. Go get the money and take care of your family, man. You feel me?

No, for real, for real. I be bumping them now, you feel? For sure, for sure.

AllHipHop: So let’s talk about investments. Do you have anything that you would like to invest in?

Jay Fizzle: I already got investments.

AllHipHop: Okay, let’s talk about it. What are you invested in?

Jay Fizzle: I got a business, I got a lot of kids, so you know I got a business. I got to have a generational wealth.

AllHipHop: Okay, I like that. So how has it been a parent, especially to 22 kids?

Jay Fizzle: It’s fun. My kids, I got most of my kids living with me. It’s fun. I act like a big ass kid, so you feel me? Everybody want to be with their daddy, you feel me? All the kids want to be over daddy house, so you feel me? Got a big house, got my kids, you feel me? It’s chill. We living, having a business, we having fun over there.

AllHipHop: So how do you juggle being a parent and a rapper?

Jay Fizzle: It ain’t really that hard. Like fool be making a scene, man, you hear me? You guys got to stand on business. It ain’t even really that hard. Especially if you being the person you’re supposed to be. If you being a father like you supposed to be. If you in your kids’ life, ain’t even that hard. Everybody be making it seem like it’s hard. I got 20 some kids. Ain’t even hard. I ain’t have no problems at all. S### cool. I ain’t growing gray hair or nothing, and my kids stay with me.

AllHipHop: So are you able to get your kids ready and bringing them to school and stuff like that? Because you got a lot of kids.

Jay Fizzle: My kids be getting up theyself going to school. They like going to school. Their daddy famous. They can’t wait to go to school. They probably popular. Ain’t no telling what they doing. They like going to school. I ain’t going to lie. I don’t even got to get up and get my kids ready to school. My kids already get up theyself. I don’t even know how they do it, because I ain’t used to do it when I was young, but they get theyself up and go to school.

AllHipHop: So do some of your kids look up to you like they want to rap as well?

Jay Fizzle: Yes. All my kids. All my kids. All my boys.

AllHipHop: So all 22 of them are finna be rappers as well.

Jay Fizzle: They act like they want to be. Especially my boys. My girls, they just be under me. My boys all act just like me.

AllHipHop: Do you could see yourself in your 50s rapping?

Jay Fizzle: No, no, no. I mean, if some money coming in, yeah. If it’s the bank keep coming, yeah. Anything to get the money. But nah, I’m trying to be somewhere ducked off in a big old cabin with all my kids. I’m just going to retire and s###.

AllHipHop: So what age do you think you will be retiring?

Jay Fizzle: Soon.

Did Kanye West Design Merch For “Vultures” With Nods To Drake & World War II?

Kanye West has sparked an online debate about the origins of his latest alleged merch designs promoting his “Vultures” single featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Bump J and Lil Durk (kind of).

Images of Yeezy rocking what appear to be new t-shirt and hoodie designs featuring a logo that reads “Vultures” and iconography reminiscent of a double-headed eagle in a crest format have been spotted online. Kanye West was recently labeled an “unrepentant antisemite” for his lyrics on the single which include the controversial bars, “How I’m anti-semitic?/I just f#### a Jewish b####.” Now it appears there’s a growing outcry online that the new logo design was adopted from the same two-headed eagle that was used by Nazi Germany as its coat of arms during WWII.

However, it should also be noted that the Albanian flag also features a two headed eagle motif as the prominent design feature. Additionally, fans have pointed out that Yeezy‘s rival. Drake also recently wore a shirt with a similar to hidden eagle design in the visual for “Polar Opposites”

This isn’t the first time Kanye West has utilized iconography associated with countercultures and/or other banned motifs. One Twitter (X) user pointed out how Ye experimented with implementing the Confederate flag in his merch designs during his YEEZUS album era circa 2013-2014.

“Sign of the times … shoulda been there when he put the confederate flag on a jacket during yeezus rollout… the explosion back then should have been basically the same but ..,” the user wrote on X.

Check out images of the alleged merch designs as modeled by Yeezy himself below.

DJ Mustard’s Ex Says Women Only Want Him For His Money In Online Tirade

DJ Mustard insinuated his ex-wife Chanel Thierry is obsessed with him, which provoked a fiery response from the mother of his children. Thierry denied any desire to reconcile with her ex-husband and criticized the producer in a series of Threads posts on Thursday (December 7).

“I may not have millions to my name or a PR staff but I serve a mighty God,” she wrote. “Thy rod and thy staff comfort me. Acting like I actually care about you is a joke. Deflecting trying to make it seem like I can’t move on!? Is a joke. You’re upset I’m airing you out. I would never associate myself with a low vibrational soul like u ever again. I will give you ANYTHING to post [receipts] of me begging to be with you. The door locks from the inside not the out.”

She continued, “You only get b###### cause you got money. Let’s be f###### fr now wide back. Every time I scream out how wrong you are doing me with my kids you try to get the public to think I care about you moving on. I don’t. I truly wish y’all the best. Just stop playing with my kids man.”

Thierry lashed out on social media after DJ Mustard expressed frustration with her on Instagram Stories. He complained about her repeatedly bothering him in reaction to her airing out their divorce drama on her Instagram and Threads accounts.

“It’s been a year and a half man,” he wrote. “Everybody stop sending me these lives man. Shop Sleep Ova for all your PJ needs. It won’t stop.”

DJ Mustard filed for divorce in May 2022. He cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.

The former couple dated for many years before getting married in 2020. They share three children.

Diddy Under Fire: Women’s Rights Group Wants Grammys To Boycott Mogul

Women’s advocacy group UltraViolet urged the Grammys to rescind Diddy’s Best Progressive R&B Album nomination on Thursday (December 7). UltraViolet asked the Recording Academy to ban him from the 2024 Grammy Awards after a fourth woman accused him of sexual assault.

“We are deeply disturbed and concerned by the recent allegations of sexual abuse, sex trafficking of a minor and domestic violence made against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs over the past three weeks,” the group said in a statement. “The gravity of the allegations against Combs underscore the ongoing need for accountability — and that the #MeToo movement is relevant and badly needed more than ever.”

UltraViolet continued, “Not surprisingly, almost all of Combs’ brands have dropped him for his abusive and inexcusable behavior. But last month, the Grammys awarded Combs with his first-ever nomination as a lead artist in one of the two R&B album categories. We are calling on the Grammys to stop enabling abusers and to immediately rescind Combs’ nomination and invitation. Survivors don’t need to see that.”

Several women sued Diddy for sexual assault over the past month. His ex-girlfriend Cassie was the first to file a lawsuit against him, accusing the Hip-Hop mogul of rape and years of abuse. The former couple settled the lawsuit out of court.

Two women named Joi Dickerson-Neal and Liza Gardner filed their lawsuits against Diddy following his settlement with Cassie. They claimed the Bad Boy Records founder sexually assaulted them in the early ‘90s.

Another woman, identified as Jane Doe, sued Diddy in December. She accused him of gang rape and sex trafficking. According to the lawsuit, Diddy and his associates raped the alleged victim when she was 17 years old in 2003.

Diddy denied the various allegations in a statement released on Wednesday.

“Enough is enough,” he said. “For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy. Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”

Last month, Diddy stepped down as the chairman of REVOLT in wake of the sexual assault lawsuits. He co-founded the television network in 2013.

Chrisean Rock Turns To Bible Verses In Teary-Eyed Attempt To Address Baby Drama

Chrisean Rock sought prayers for her son following an emotional rollercoaster of drama involving the child’s father Blueface. The polarizing rapper/TV personality read bible verses to her son and thanked fans for their support in a video posted on her social media accounts.

“Thank you because it’s a lot on me ‘cause I really love my baby,” Chrisean Rock said in the video. “So, when people just love him too, it makes it easier. That’s like your main goal when you have a kid. Like, you want to make sure he’s loved properly. You just hope you have the support.”

She added, “I just want to say thank y’all for holding me down. My fans and my friends, they’re really holding me down.”

Chrisean said the only thing she could do was pray in her Instagram caption for the video. She shared the clip after worrying fans with her thoughts about dying on Wednesday (December 6).

“Dying sounds easier than living sometimes,” she wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter). “I don’t really be trynna express myself in a negative way but damn sometimes I wonder why why why why why fr.”

Chrisean vented on social media days after Blueface claimed she abandoned their son. She accused him of beating up her friend, who was babysitting their child.

Last month, Chrisean explained the importance of prayer in her child’s life amid the seemingly unending drama with Blueface.

“I pray and read the word to him every day,” she wrote. “It’s not what u can give them it’s what you can leave inside them. My child is blessed so we are thankful that this lifestyle my child won’t have to struggle like I did be hungry like I was or neglected and left behind like I was. AMEN THANK YOU JESUS.”

Kodak Black Arrested For Cocaine Possession In Florida—Three Years After Trump Pardon

Kodak Black was arrested in Broward County, Florida on Wednesday (December 7) and is currently being held at the local jail. According to inmate records, the seemingly troubled rapper was arrested for cocaine possession, tampering with or fabricating physical evidence and improper stop, stand or park.

The latest arrest continues a string of legal troubles for Kodak Black. The Pompano Beach native was arrested in July 2022 for possession of a controlled substance. Last month, he and his legal team tried to get the case dismissed. Attorney Bradford Cohen claimed the pills found on his client on the day of the arrest were Tylenol and not Oxycodone as the officers alleged.

The Florida Highway Patrol reportedly pulled him over because he was driving an SUV with tinted windows that appeared to be darker than the legal limit. The troopers allegedly smelled marijuana and found a bag with 31 white tablets and nearly $75,000 in cash.

Broward County Sheriff

Kodak Black has received numerous chances to turn his life around. In 2020, just as former president Donald Trump was leaving office, he was granted a pardon. Kodak was in the middle of serving a more than three-year sentence for weapon charges but was allowed to leave prison after Trump granted him clemency.

Kodak Black later thanked Trump via Twitter, writing at the time, “I Want To Thank The President @RealDonaldTrump For His Commitment To Justice Reform And Shortening My Sentence. I Also Want To Thank Everyone For Their Support And Love. It Means More Than You Will Ever Know. I Want To Continue Giving Back, Learning And Growing. @DanScavino.”

This is a developing story.

Playy Talks Grammy Nomination & New Single “Gold On My Lip” Featuring E.S.G.

Who remembers “My Chick Bad” by Ludacris and Nicki Minaj? The song was a moment in time, released 14 years ago in 2009. And if there’s one thing about hit songs, it’s important to pay homage to the producers and songwriters behind-the-scenes who contributed to the record. Insert Playy, who co-wrote and was featured on “My Chick Bad,” which earned him his Grammy nomination.

Hailing from Texas and representing H-Town any chance he can, Playy has been surrounded by music since he can remember. At age 16, he relocated to Atlanta and began working with Mike WiLL Made-It—and the rest was history.

To date, Playy has worked with endless greats such as Kelly Rowland on “Work it Man.” But now, he’s focused on his own artistry. Most recently, Playy unveiled his newest single and visual for “Gold On My Lip (G.O.M.L.).” The song features Houston legend E.S.G. of the Screwed Up Click and Spark Dawg, paying tribute to Grillz and his hometown of Houston.

AllHipHop spoke with Playy virtually, who was getting ready to attend 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne’s Welcome 2 ColleGrove listening party. Read below as we discuss his sound, how he contributed to “My Chick Bad,” the new release, studio essentials and more.

AllHipHop: How would you describe your sound?

Playy: I’d explain my sound as you never know what you’re gonna get. That’s the best way to explain it, because I can do so much. I can do from Afrobeat to pop to R&B to rap as a writer. You never know what you gon’ get with me.

AllHipHop: I saw I know you moved to Atlanta at 16. How’d you get tapped in with Mike WiLL?

Playy: That’s funny, man. I was going to school out here. I went to Wheeler High School for my senior year out here. I don’t know if it was the rival school, but he went to the high school nearby my school. We met from me doing parties in the area. I met him, we got cool. We did my school football team theme song, like they came out to. He did the beat, I did the song. Back in high school, so that was pretty dope.

AllHipHop: Did you get your start more behind-the-scenes, before doing your own artistry?

Playy: Yeah I’d say that, because the “My Chick Bad” record really popped it off for me. So yeah, I was behind-the-scenes more before that record popped off.

AllHipHop: “My Chick Bad” with Ludacris and Nicki Minaj is timeless. How’d that happen?

Playy: I was in a studio with Traxster, he’s the producer of the record. Real dope producer. I was in there with him, working on records for myself. He had the beat going, I laid the hook down. We screwed it. I had to leave the studio without me finishing the verses, so it was just the hook and open verses. I left and forgot about the record, to be honest. A couple months later, he called me and said “Yo, Ludacris was just in the studio. He was going through beats and the ‘My Chick Bad’ one came up and he wanted it.” I said give it to him! He can take it. He can have it. He kept me on the hook, he put Nicki on it. History from there.

AllHipHop: How’d it feel when he put Nicki Minaj on it? That’s huge.

Playy: Oh yeah, I was blown away by the whole record. Because I didn’t expect it to do anything when I made it. When I heard him on it, by itself, he smashed it and then when I heard Nicky on it, I was like, “Oh gosh.” This is gonna be crazy.

AllHipHop: How’d it feel to get a Grammy nomination for it?

Playy: It was dope. I didn’t expect nothing from “My Chick Bad.” Even for Ludaacris to pick it up, that was my blessing right there. I was blessed with that. For it to get nominated for a Grammy, that was overwhelming. I loved it.

AllHipHop: Did you celebrate?

Playy: Oh yeah. They invited me to the red carpet. I got plaques for it, it’s really dope. A lot of stuff, I don’t have to show for it. But that, I have to show for it. That was a big blessing.

AllHipHop: How was it working with Kelly Rowland?

Playy: That was back when I was signed with Rodney Jerkins. I was always in the studio writing, and Kelly Rowland came in to work with him. She was in there to work with him. He called me in the studio to introduce me, because I was just signed to him and we really clicked it off. I’m from Houston, she from Houston. We was in there vibing. I played her some of my records. She played the “Work It Man” record, I got on it and it made her album. That was super dope.

AllHipHop: What was the inspiration behind your name?

Playy: In the beginning, I was a real jokester. I’m older now, but I was a real jokester. I was real good with the ladies as well [laughs].

AllHipHop: Talk about your new song “Gold On My Lip (G.O.M.L.).” What inspired that?

Playy: I just wanted to do something to show love to the culture of Houston. We gold grills out there. Platinum grills, all types of grills. That’s the cool part of the culture. I got E.S.G. on it, he’s a legend in Houston. Shout out Swishahouse. I was in Atlanta, ran into him. He came to my hotel room. I had the studio set up in there, he heard it and he laid his verse down right there on the spot.

I reached out to Spark Dawg, which he’s from Killeen, Texas as well, but he lives in Atlanta too. He’s known as the hood dentist, so it was only right for me to get him on the second verse as well. He killed his verse, Spark is really dope. If you seen the video, he’ll pull up anywhere you want to grill and he did our grill in the club. We shot it at SXSW and he did our grills in the club.

AllHipHop: How big is the grill culture out there in Houston?

Playy: It’s huge! If you’re a rapper, you definitely got a grill or two. If you don’t, you had one. Especially in Houston. It’s a big culture, everybody rocking with it.

AllHipHop: Best memory from the video shoot?

Playy: I have to say them letting us record it in the bar, because usually they be tripping about you bringing cameras. But they let us bring the camera in. The bartenders, everybody in the club got in on it. Tat was the dope part.

AllHipHop: What do you want people to get from your story?

Playy: To never give up. Keep going, it’s never too late. No matter what people tell you, it’s never too late on your dream. Keep going no matter what nobody say. Stay at it. It’s gon’ happen eventually, especially if you want it as bad as you want it.

AllHipHop: Three things you need in the studio at all times?

Playy: I need me some good gas. I definitely need me some candles so the vibe right. And good beats [laughs]. I need some good beats in there so I can get to work.

AllHipHop: What do you like to do when you’re not working?

Playy: I’m a new father, I got a son. I love kicking it with the twin. If I’m not chillin’ with him, I’m playing basketball. Bowling. I like anything that keeps me active. I like to stay active a little bit.

AllHipHop: What can we expect next?

Playy: A whole lot of new music. I got albums ready to go, we trying to figure out the right times to drop. I got singles ready to go, we trying to figure out the right times to drop. I’m working with @DGreenFilmz, he’s filming with a lot of people out of the Houston area. A lot of people right now, but he’s really dope. I got a lot of videos on the tuck with him. I’ll be performing at SXSW this year as well.

AllHipHop: Any goals for yourself as an artist at this point in your career?

Playy: I want to get another Grammy nomination. That would be great for myself. Just to keep going and doing what I’m doing.

Cardi B Seemingly Loses Mass Following After Balenciaga Show

Balenciaga has been a very polarizing entity in the past few years. I guess you can say people have noticed recently. The infamous fashion house has been under fire since its November 2022 ad campaign, which controversially featured children with teddy bears in B### harnesses. That was so weird to me and ultimately led to the #cancelBalenciaga campaign. A few days ago, they had a show that had everybody from Kim Kardashian to Sexyy Red. Clearly, they did not get canceled for real.

Cardi B Checks Haters Who Claim Her Balenciaga Looks Were Photoshopped

But, there is a price to pay and it may not be all that important, but I think it is worth noting. Cardi B – more than most – experienced a significant drop in Instagram followers, losing 133,619. Her appearance at Balenciaga’s Fall 2024 show in Los Angeles was not the move. All she did was hit the runway! This was her biggest drop ever.

But she was not the only one.

Kim Kardashian, another celeb that is Balenciaga adjacent, had criticized the brand’s weird p###-like ads but still attended the show. She lost over 300,000 followers and Kendall Jenner lost nearly half a million people on the social media platform. Oddly, actor Nicole Kidman is now Balenciaga’s new ambassador, and saw her IG following rise, gaining 5,792 followers.

For the record, Balenciaga apologized for those ads involving kids and announced changes that included a partnership with the National Children’s Alliance (NCA). Are you following these people after this?

She has some other things going on, so I am going to say a few thousand people unfollowing won’t hurt her.

Drake’s “For All The Dogs” Single Contingent On 82-Year-Old Jazz Singer’s Email Response?

Drake’s sampling tendencies have reached an eclectic peak based on his recent interaction with 82-year-old jazz singer Norma Winstone.

According to BBC, Winstone, an elderly London-bred artist Drake sampled for his album For All The Dogs, thought his Instagram name Champagnepapi was actually the title of an expensive sparkling wine beverage. She was apparently baffled when she received a request to sample her song “The Tunnel” via email from Drake’s team some time in September. She asked her son to make sense of it all, considering it was a random request to interpolate her 1977 funk record—and his answer is what made it all happen.

“He just said, ‘Mum, he’s mega,'” Winestone said. “And I said, ‘oh right’ and started to look into it.”

The portion of “The Tunnel” sampled features Winstone’s vocals and was utilized to bring Drizzy and Yeat’s instantaneously meme-worthy hit “IDGAF” to life. Even though Winstone admits rap music isn’t her “sort of area of listening” and that’s she “often can’t understand what they’re [rappers] saying” she did enjoy Drizzy and Twizzy’s collaboration.

“It’s strange, because he [Drake] is protesting and he doesn’t give a monkey’s ### for want of a better word,” she said. “And I thought, well actually that’s how we felt when we recorded our music, because it was hardly what people were waiting for at the time, and I don’t think they were really ready for it.”

Sauce Walka Arrested After Crashing His Vehicle During High-Speed Police Chase

Sauce Walka is facing serious legal trouble. The Houston native allegedly led law enforcement on a high-speed police chase on Wednesday morning (December 6).

According to Fox 26, Houston-area police charged Sauce Walka (born Albert Walker Mondane) with evading arrest or detention. The 33-year-old Texan reportedly hit speeds of 130 mph for more than two miles before eventually crashing his vehicle.

Walka’s first court appearance is scheduled for Friday (December 8). Previously, he pleaded guilty to deadly conduct charges in 2009. Authorities claimed the rapper’s The Sauce Factory label also served as a sex-trafficking gang.

“I’m a CEO of a record label, we drop albums. I got seven artists,” Sauce Walka said in 2018. “We’re a prestigious record label of young men that give out inspiration and leadership to a lot of young people in Houston and all over Texas.”

In 2019, a federal jury convicted Jaimian Sims, an alleged member of The Sauce Factory, of conspiracy and sex trafficking of both adult and minor females. U.S. District Judge David Hittner sentenced Sims to life in prison. Co-defendants Tabbetha Mangis and Gary Shawn Haynes, Jr. pleaded guilty in the case.

Three years later, the FBI and Houston Police Department detained 14 affiliates of Sauce Walka’s The Sauce Factory on several criminal offenses. Those December 2022 charges included drug trafficking and gun possession.

Sauce Walka dropped Sauce Ghetto Gospel 3 two weeks after the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Texas announced the arrest of the Houston residents connected to the trafficking/firearm indictments.

Nicki Minaj season will officially begin tomorrow (December 8) when the Hip-Hop legend releases her fifth studio LP. Pink Friday 2 arrives 13 years after the original.

Last month, Minaj sparked interest in her album rollout with a self-confident proclamation about Pink Friday 2. The Young Money representative sent a tweet that read, “I am about to release one of the greatest albums of ALL TIME.”

To generate more buzz for her upcoming project, Nicki Minaj shared a 26-second teaser on social media. The video includes the text, “PREPARE FOR IMPACT Pink Friday 2 IS COMING.” Minaj also captioned the post, “Approaching #GagCity.”

Nicki Minaj earned two nominations for the upcoming 66th Annual Grammy Awards. “Barbie World” scored a nod for Best Song Written For Visual Media. The RiotUSA-produced track will also compete in the Best Rap Song category.

“As we begin to prepare for landing, please make sure your tray tables are put back up & your seat belts are tightly fastened. The captain has activated the ‘no bathroom’ sign. If you look out the window, you’ll begin to see the beauty… clear waters, pink dolphins… #GagCity #PF2,” Minaj tweeted on Wednesday (December 6).

Cassie’s Lawyers To Represent Another Woman Accusing Diddy Of Sexual Assault

Diddy is currently embroiled in his most troubling legal fight since his 1999 arrest on a weapons charge. Over the last few weeks, multiple women have accused Diddy of sexual and physical abuse.

Ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura became the most high-profile person to sue Diddy under New York’s Adult Survivors Act. The R&B singer accused Diddy of rape, assault and other crimes. The two sides quickly settled out of court.

Diddy still has other alleged victims filing lawsuits against him. Two more women sued the 54-year-old Bad Boy Records founder. Those separate sexual assault lawsuits were both filed on November 23 and are still pending.

Another unnamed woman claims Diddy and two other men raped her when she was 17 years old. Her lawsuit also names Harve Pierre, former Bad Boy president, as a defendant. According to court reporter Meghann Cuniff, the latest plaintiff hired the same lawyers who represented Ventura in her lawsuit.

Jane Doe’s complaint reads, “This is now the fifth lawsuit filed against Mr. Combs in the last three weeks. Incredibly, the allegations brought by Ms. Doe are in many ways even more egregious than those brought by his prior victims.”

Diddy Claims Sexual Assault Accusers Are Looking For A “Quick Payday”

Despite settling with Cassie Ventura for an undisclosed amount, Diddy has blatantly denied all of the sexual misconduct and abuse allegations. The Love Album: Off the Grid creator released a statement addressing the women’s accusations.

“ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy,” Diddy posted on social media. “Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”

Diddy temporarily stepped down as the chairman of REVOLT, a company he founded. The network stated, “Our focus has always been one that reflects our commitment to the collective journey of REVOLT— one that is not driven by any individual, but by the shared efforts and values of our entire team on behalf of advancing, elevating and championing our culture — and that continues.”
