Aske Returns With New Single “Never Going Back” Featuring Dave East

In today’s online landscape of “fast food” music, artists who can create timeless music with storytelling based on lived experience are exceedingly rare. They only become rarer as attention spans dwindle, with most artists sacrificing their artistry in an attempt to garner commercial success. In that regard, Aske is an outlier. Hard-hitting lyricism and delivery are his specialties. No compromise. He’s proven that with his latest single, “Never Going Back.”

The track’s instrumental sets the perfect stage as its majestic vocal sample floats above aggressive snares and sturdy kicks. Aske wastes no time getting into it, recounting the hardships of yesterday and what he has learned from them. “Say I’m switchin’ up, but I’m on better things.” His verse is loop-worthy, with new details to be discovered on every new listen.

After a brief interlude where choirs breathe, Dave East comes in with aggression. His verse delivers his own tales of grit from New York: “Kissin’ caskets I’ve been the pallbearer.” There is zero lost momentum here, and that’s evident in the title, “Never Going Back.”

Celebrity Jeweller – Lamar Berko Proves That Hard Work Never Goes Unrewarded!

Hard work is crucial to achieving greatness. With willpower and focus, you can work hard to attain your dreams of a better future. In addition, having clear goals of what you want to achieve in life will help you craft better plans to attain them.

Celebrity jeweller Lamar Berko is a reference that hard work never goes unrewarded.

The celebrity jeweller hails from the UK With a Ghanaian/Jamaica Background. He comes from a humble beginning, but his roots did not deter him from achieving his dreams. The self-motivated and meticulous young entrepreneur worked hard to succeed in the jewellery industry. The 29-year-old Lamar is the owner and CEO of LB Jewellers, a company he established in 2013.

Lamar stands out for his authentic come-up and is among the first successful young jewellers in the UK. Besides, it is amazing how he managed to build his clientele, open doors for other young entrepreneurs, and provide employment for people in other countries such as Ghana, Nigeria, and South Africa.

LB Jewellers is recognized for its innovative designs, top-notch customization, high-value watches, and jewellery maintenance. Thus, the jewellery brand has grown to attain a massive following on social media platforms. It has also established a collection of high-profile clients such as Floyd Mayweather, international superstar Wizkid, Chelsea Footballer Callum Hudson-Odoi, DJ Spinall, Andy Cole, Beenie Man, David Beckham, Russ Millions, Danny Rose, etc.

Building the LB Jewellers brand has not been an easy journey for Lamar. He shares that breaking through an industry with high entry barriers and establishing a notable brand that now surmounts over 500,000+ views a day on Snapchat has not been a walk in the park. But with a resilient and focused spirit, the astute entrepreneur has sacrificed a lot and consistently put in the work to build a leading and renowned brand.

According to Lamar, you should thoroughly research your field and capitalize on all opportunities, regardless of their magnitude. Moreover, the young CEO does not regard failures as falling but rather refusing to get up. “Man is born to work. Just like steel, he shines in use and rusts in rest,” adds Lamar.

Although most LB Jewellers’ clients are high-profile, Lamar does not put up biases with his clientele. He is always open and available to everyone and believes that most clients come knocking at his doors due to his unmatched jewellery quality. “I believe successful people seek to have the best things in life. They work hard for their money, so they believe in quality and durability,” he affirmed.

The LB Jewellers’ CEO sees himself as a brand, not just a jeweller. “Jewellery is just one of many things from the LB Brand. I have a big announcement coming up in the next few months, unveiling a multi-million-pound investment,” he concluded.

Post Malone Hospitalized With Breathing Trouble, Cancels Boston Performance

Post Malone has been hospitalized after experiencing a “very difficult time” breathing.

The “Rockstar” hitmaker took to Twitter to share that he was unwell and had to postpone his Twelve Carat Tour concert set to be staged at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, that evening.

“Boston, I love y’all so f###### much. On tour, I usually wake up around 4 o’clock PM, and today I woke up to a cracking sound on the right side of my body,” he wrote. “I felt so good last night, but today it felt so different than it has before. I’m having a very difficult time breathing, and there’s like a stabbing pain whenever I breathe or move.”

At a gig in St. Louis last month, Post tripped over an area of the stage used to lower instruments while performing his song “Circles.”

The star, real name Austin Richard Post, received attention from medics, and after taking around 15 minutes to recover, he returned to the stage to finish the gig.

While Post assured fans he was fine at the time, it seems he is still struggling with an injury from the incident.

“We’re in the hospital now, but with this pain, I can’t do the show tonight,” the 27-year-old continued. “I’m so f###### sorry. Everyone’s tickets for tonight’s show will be valid for the reschedule that we’re planning right now. Once again, I’m so f###### sorry, I love y’all so much. I feel terrible, but I promise I’m going to make this up to you. I love you Boston, I’ll see you soon. I’m so sorry.”

Post is next scheduled to perform in Cleveland on Tuesday.

Fresh Out Of Lockup, Dodi Drops New Single “Monyunn” Feat Rubberband OG

While the struggle is real, sometimes the most successful people come out of that situation. Dodi is a dope artist that has that story and uses it to motivate him to do big things within the music industry.

Dodi has had his fair share of bumps in the road, on his musical journey. He was arrested and charged with murder right after the success of his mega-hit single “Allah Akbar.” which has over 140,000 views on YouTube right now. He bonded out on that charge and then was hit with a host of other charges.

With all that being said, Dodi was released on bond in August of 2022 and has hit the ground running with his music. He just dropped a crazy record called “Monyunn” featuring Rubberband OG, and this record is nothing short of amazing. Showing that Dodi has been working hard on his craft and is growing by leaps and bounds.

Bizarre Reveals The Best Advice Eminem Gave Him That He Never Took

Bizarre once spent ‘six hours doing one verse over’ while recording with Eminem

Bizarre has recalled how collaborating with Eminem was always “a lot of work”.

During an appearance on “The Bootleg Kev Podcast,” the Detroit emcee, real name Rufus Johnson, recounted his experiences collaborating with the “Not Afraid” rapper when he was part of the rap group D12 in the late ’90s.

“It was a lot of work, man,” Bizarre said of working with Eminem. “It’s a lot of work. I think we had fun after the studio, but, s###, you know – being in the studio with Em, man, sometimes you could be in the booth for five, six hours doing one verse over.”

In response to Eminem being described as a “perfectionist,” the 46-year-old noted, “Yeah, he was on your ass.”

He recalled, “I remember one time he got so sick with it, man, I went home and he wanted me to do some ad-libs over. And I guess he couldn’t wait for me, so when I came back the next day, he had did ’em for me.

“He sounded just like me, my voice. I was like, ‘Bro, you are sick.'”

In addition, Bizarre noted that Eminem, 49, was constantly improving his rhymes.

“I remember some advice that he gave me that I never followed, but I should’ve followed this s###,” he shared. “He said, ‘Man, sometimes just go over the verses over and over again when you take it home. And ask yourself, ‘Did I say the dopest line right here? Could I have said something better right here? And if you think you could’ve, you know what I’m saying, come back and do it.'”

Mystikal Allegedy Prayed With Victim Before Raping Her

Rapper Mystikal is being accused of more disturbing behavior if the latest rape allegations against the rap star are proven true.

An unidentified woman claimed Mystikal raped her on July 30th at his Prairieville home because the rapper thought she had stolen a paltry $100 from him.

The rapper became angry over the missing money and allegedly beat the woman up, pulled the braids out of her hair, took her keys and cell phone, and prevented her from leaving his house.

At some point during the evening, Mystikal, who was allegedly high on drugs, held the woman down and raped her in a fit of rage.

The victim claims Mystikal threw rubbing alcohol on her and forced the woman to pray with him. According to prosecutors, the rapper tried to rid the woman of any “bad spirits” in her body and then raped her.

The woman eventually escaped from the house and went to the Baton Rouge General Hospital, where she was treated for multiple injuries.

Mystikal, born Michael Tyler, was arrested on Sunday, July 31st, on charges of first-degree rape, false imprisonment, domestic abuse battery (strangulation), simple robbery, and simple criminal damage to property.

He was also indicted on separate charges of possessing drugs. The cops found a stash of hard narcotics in his house, including Xanax, heroin, and methamphetamines.

Mystikal has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges. His lawyer called the allegations “bogus” and claimed the rapper was being extorted due to his criminal record.

In 2003, he pleaded guilty to sexual battery and spent six years in prison. He also spent almost two years in jail after another woman accused him of raping her at a casino in 2017, but the case was dismissed.

According to the rapper, the latest accuser went to him to ask for $1,000 and threatened to accuse him of rape if he did not pay up.

Mystikal is facing a mandatory life sentence if he is convicted of the rape charge. He is currently being held without bond in the Ascension Parish Jail.

John Legend Explains How He Got His “Presumptuous” Stage Name

John Legend bet on himself by using a “rather presumptuous” stage name before his career took off.

The musician, real name John Stephens, started calling himself John Legend even before his debut album Get Lifted was released in 2004, and he has admitted his early collaborator Kanye West and poet J. Ivy encouraged him to adopt “this rather presumptuous name.”

“(J. Ivy) started calling me the Legend, because I reminded him of some of the artists we grew up listening to, and he heard the ancestors in my voice,” he told The New Yorker. “That morphed into John Legend, and he and Kanye and a bunch of the other people around us were, like, ‘Man, that’s a stage name, John. You should go with that!’ I had already been performing around New York and Philly as John Stephens. I was selling my CDs on my Web site, john-stephens.com.”

John explained that the Legend nickname was initially used within their inner circle but then Kanye, who signed him to his G.O.O.D. Music label, started introducing him to people as John Legend and he decided to roll with it.

“Kanye started referring to me as that when he was introducing me to people: ‘Check out this artist I’ve signed! His name is John Legend.’ I was, like, F###, how am I going to tell people to call me John Legend? I don’t even have a record deal yet! What if I’m a flop?” he recalled. “I’m just going to bet on myself and spend all my energy trying to live up to this lofty stage name. And that’s what I’ve been doing ever since.”

John and Kanye worked together on their respective debut albums – Get Lifted and The College Dropout – and have collaborated many times over the years.

However, they are no longer close friends due to a falling out over political differences.

Kanye West Still Has His Eye On The White House

Kanye West is open to running for U.S. President again.

In July 2020, the “Stronger” rapper announced that he would be running in America’s presidential election.

On election day that November, he received over 70,000 votes and lost to President Joe Biden.

During an interview that aired on “Good Morning America,” Kanye revealed that he “absolutely” has plans to get involved in politics again.

“That time wasn’t in God’s time,” he stated.

Elsewhere in the discussion, Kanye opened up about his decision to dissolve his Yeezy fashion collaboration with Gap, as well as ongoing tensions between himself and Adidas executives over their lucrative partnership.

“It was all kind of a disregard for the voice of something that I co-created. I co-created the product at Adidas. I co-created the product at Gap,” the 45-year-old mused. “That means that I was there for some specific agenda, not for Yeezy Gap to be everything that it could be, or this dream that I had about what the Gap could be. It’s time for me to make my own thing.”

In light of the issues, Kanye shared that he has hired lawyers to help him learn more about running the business.

“We had to level up. Really show ’em who’s the new boss in town, that I’m the boss of me. I’m no longer just the man ridin’ atop the polo horse,” he added. “I’m not just a mascot in the middle of the games, gettin’ the crowd hyped up sayin’, ‘Hey, wear this, do this,’ but you know, just learn financial engineering. Learn how to – learn how to really run a company.”

VIDEO: Tekashi 6ix9ine Was Beaten In Dubai Club

So, Dubai is not to be messed with. Tekashi69 was out and about in Dubai and decided to ask the DJ to plays music. A new video reveals that that was probably not the best thing for him to do. A recently released video shows the Brooklyn, New York rapper was attacked and beaten right in front of club goers because he asked the DJ to play his music.

Of course, the DJ refused to play whatever song he requested. And after that, he was attacked and beaten. If you look at the video below, you see that they are putting hands and possibly feet on the rapper with the propensity for talking to law-enforcement.

HollywoodUnlocked says, “Our source also says that the DJ then hopped back on the mic and screamed, ‘We don’t like snitches,’ and proceeded to laugh while reportedly adding, ‘No way am I playing a snitch’s song.'”

Clearly, the DJ really despises snitches. At the time of his writing, Tekashi69 said something about fake news. I am sure that he will have a hair brains scheme to explain what happened and why he wasn’t really hurt too badly. He better be careful.

Just a few short months ago he was punched in another club, this time Miami. He tried to say he didn’t connect, but then the video came out showing that a man did in fact hit the rapper flush. This has to be getting old. The irony of this is that he recently had a domestic violence case with his girlfriend, so maybe they are thinking about that as they assault him.

So far, there’s no aftermath or further conversation around this.

DDG Jokes About Martin Luther King Jr. Canceling Racism

DDG raised some eyebrows with his comments about racism on The Bootleg Kev Podcast.

The 24-year-old rapper jokingly claimed Martin Luther King Jr. canceled racism in an interview with Bootleg Kev. DDG mentioned MLK while discussing the hate his girlfriend Halle Bailey received for starring in The Little Mermaid.

“She be laughing it off,” he said. “They be going a little too hard. But I feel like the people is more attacking the character rather than her personally. I feel like it’s caught in the crossfire ‘cause she’s playing the character.”

He continued, “I didn’t know people was this racist. I didn’t know this was a thing, I thought this s### was gone already … I thought Martin Luther King [Jr.] canceled that s### out. This s### is crazy.”

DDG’s MLK remark was taken at face value by one outlet, which shared the clip on social media. He responded on Instagram, saying he made the comment in jest.

“I was valedictorian in high school obviously MLK ain’t stop racism,” he wrote. “It’s called exaggeration lol see this what’s wrong with our people these days. We attack each other all day every day and no one else smh.. #BLM y’all have a blessed one.”

Check out DDG’s interview below. The Little Mermaid discussion begins around the 21-minute mark.

Questlove Will Explain “Musical Genius” Of J Dilla In Documentary

Questlove is executive producing Dilla Time, a documentary about legendary producer J Dilla.

The documentary will be based on Dan Charnas’ best-selling book Dilla Time: The Life and Afterlife of J Dilla, The Hip Hop Producer Who Reinvented Rhythm. The film marks another collaboration between Questlove and Joseph Patel, who worked together on the Oscar-winning Summer of Soul.

“Explaining musical genius is my mission,” Questlove said in a press release. “To be able to tell the world about the musician that had the most influence on me is a dream come true. Not just on me, but on an entire generation of musicians that everyone knows and loves. J Dilla was our teacher. And what he taught us was how to feel rhythm in a way we had ever felt before. I’m so honored to be a part of bringing his story to the world through this documentary.”

J Dilla’s estate endorses the documentary, citing its trust in Questlove. The Roots drummer was a collaborator and friend of the late Jay Dee.

“The estate of James Dewitt Yancey, and its wholly-owned production entity, Pay Jay Productions, Inc., which benefits J Dilla’s two children, his younger brother, and his mother, is proud to give its blessing to an amazing project created by discerning and talented filmmakers who knew J Dilla,” the estate said. “We trust the judgment of [Questlove], Joseph, Dan, and Scenario to elevate Dilla’s life, music, and legacy to their rightful place in the canon of music’s great innovators; and their film is the only documentary project we have endorsed.”

Questlove’s J Dilla documentary is described as “part biography, part musicology and part musical meditation.” It will be co-directed by Joseph Patel and Darby Wheeler.

Boosie Pleads With Artists To Help Promote His Movie After Instagram Ban

Boosie Badazz asked fellow artists to promote his upcoming movie Water Boyz, which drops on September 28.

The 39-year-old rapper sought help after facing another Instagram ban in July. Boosie begged other artists to post about his movie on social media.

“If you f### with Boosie, mane, and you an artist, mane, I need a post up, bruh,” he said. “You know y’all got all them followers. When y’all post a n####, that really help a n####’s s### get out there. You already know that. So, if you f### with Boosie, gimme a post up.”

Maribased1 “Talk Talk Talk” Ft. Yung6ix

Seattle music is real. Say it again. Seattle music is real. Such is the battle cry of Maribased1, one of the Emerald city’s most prolific hip hop artists and champion of the PNW sound.

Sure, plenty of artists will squawk about their cred, their crew, and their city, but Maribased1 doesn’t just talk the talk, he walks the walk. 7 music videos spun on BET Jams, tour dates with Blueface, West Coast Hip-Hop Award winner, Seattle Sound Music Award winner, and now a mountain of radio airplay not just in North America, but also across the Atlantic in Africa.

Out in front of this media, blitz is the new single “Talk Talk Talk,” (BJ&J Entertainment) which pairs Maribased1 with one of Nigeria’s most celebrated artists, Yung6ix. Over the past decade, Yung6ix has carved out a name for himself as one of the most prolific voices in the Nigerian music scene. Much like Maribased1 up in Seattle, Yung6ix is also walking the walk while others just talk the talk.

So goes much of the theme of “Talk Talk Talk” (produced by DJ FunkDaddy). Everybody wants to talk. Talk smack, talk money, talk wins, but most of the time that’s all it really is. Just empty platitudes with nothing to back it up. All of this served as the perfect inspiration for the new music video. With everyone blowing smoke, Maribased1 and Yung6ix decided to just start their own hotline for all of the fakers out to have a place to brag about their “wins” and learn a thing or two from the real ones.

While the lines are ringing and the commissions are rolling in, Maribased1, Yung6ix, and a cadre of their party crew are throwing down an epic party that can only be pulled off by someone that has the skills to make their dreams reality. The others can talk all they want, but until they are on the level of Maribased1 & Yung6ix, it’s all just “Talk Talk Talk.”

GloRilla Donates $25K To Her High School During Pre-Homecoming Event

Rapper GloRilla is more than just a pretty face, but an artist with a heart. Just ask her alma mater, MLK College Prep.

On Thursday, September 22nd, around 2 p.m., the “F.NF.” rapper returned to her former high school to drop off a $25,00 check to lend financial support to disadvantaged students at the institution during its pre-homecoming celebration.

The event included a live performance by the rapper and was presented by Shelby County Commissioners Charlie Caswell (District 6) and Mickell Lowery (District 8), according to FOX 13.

In an interview after the event, she said everything looks smaller since she left.

“I feel big now,” she giggled. “The classrooms look like they got smaller. That just means I got taller.”

GloRilla also said being there made her feel like she was in the 10th grade and had a “warm feeling” after seeing her former teachers.

A message she sent to the students was, “anything they put their mind to is possible. Long as they got a dream, they just got to reach for the stars. Whatever they put their mind to, they can get it.”

Commissioner Caswell said when talking about the star, “She is proof that no matter where you come from, you can defy the odds and be successful if you stay focused. She’s giving kids in Frayser and around the county hope, and we want to celebrate that.”

GloRilla has defied odds, becoming the first female to be signed to the CMG label, a record company owned by Memphis superstar Yo Gotti.

The school’s principal said her return to the school was warmly welcomed.

“We are beyond excited that our former student is returning to the halls she once walked as a student,” MLK College Prep Principal Chiquita Perry said. “We are extremely proud of Ms. Woods and thankful for her acts of service, leadership, and fellowship in her community.”

Moneybagg Yo Talks Feeling Nervous About Dropping His Fifth Album

Moneybagg Yo is back outside. The Memphis native celebrated his 31st birthday on September 22 by dropping the new single “Blow.”

The Collective Music Group recording artist appears to be working on another body of work as well. Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe spoke to Moneybagg Yo about the rapper’s latest track and his future plans.

“It was just a party, birthday club vibe. I made it probably a month ago but then I was making it intentionally for my birthday. Just trying to put out a birthday song,” explained Moneybagg about the creation of the “Blow” record.

He also told Lowe, “I feel like I’m just getting better and better with time, still hustling, still saying consistent and motivated at the same time… Y’all gonna see a lot more of this because I feel like I ain’t dropped in a little minute.”

Moneybagg Yo’s A Gangsta’s Pain came out in April 2021. The Billboard 200 chart-topping project opened with 110,000 first-week units. According to Moneybagg, he does feel some nervousness about putting out the follow-up to his breakout LP.

“It’s been like a year and three months. I ain’t dropped, but I’m just putting out songs, little 3-packs, 2-packs,” said Moneybagg Yo. “You still get butterflies sometimes. Just drilling and rushing and everything. It just be a little much, a little crazy… but I can handle it. I got it.”

In 2022, Moneybagg Yo collaborated with other rappers like NLE Choppa (“Too Hot”), YG (“Scared Money”), Kodak Black (“Rocky Road”), and Offset (“CODE”). His career studio album discography contains 2018’s Reset, 2019’s 43va Heartless, and 2020’s Time Served.

The Roc Nation affiliate also teased another collaboration will drop in the near future. Moneybagg revealed on The Zane Lowe Show, “I got another surprise for y’all in another week, I’m dropping another one. This one got a feature on it.”
