EXCLUSIVE: Cardi B Wants “Unhinged” And “Depraved” Tasha K. To Pay Up $3.8 Million Judgment NOW

Cardi B refuses to let her nemesis Tasha K. wiggle out of a $3.8 million verdict for defamation.

Earlier today (October 28th), the rap star’s legal team asked the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals to uphold the massive verdict against the YouTuber.

In January, a jury awarded Cardi a massive judgment after finding Tasha K. liable for claiming Cardi was a former prostitute with HPV and herpes.

Jurors found that Tasha K. defamed the rapper, invaded her privacy, and intentionally inflicted emotional distress on Cardi B with her lies. Tasha K. has been attempting to appeal the verdict to have the judgment reduced or overturned.

In the meantime, a judge ruled that Tasha K must put up $3.8 million in the form of what’s known as a Supersedeas bond to ensure Cardi would get the full judgment If Tasha K. loses the appeal – which seems likely.

According to Cardi’s latest legal filing, the “depraved” vlogger has no chance of winning the appeal, primarily based on Tasha’s assertion that crucial evidence was excluded.

“The totality of evidence was more than sufficient for the jury to find that [Tasha K.’s] conduct was not merely vulgar, tasteless, rude, or insulting. Rather, their unrelenting and self-described ‘campaign’ was motivated solely by greed and spite and was so abusive and obscene that any reasonable person would find that [Cardi B’s] intense feelings of humiliation, embarrassment, shame, and outrage were the natural result of [Tasha K.s] conduct,” Cardi B’s lawyer W. Andrew Pequignot explained.

In September 2020, Tasha admitted she knew the allegations that Cardi cheated on Offset while spreading HPV were fake, but she continued to publish blatant lies anyway.

Cardi B wants a judge to uphold an $3.8 million verdict against Tasha K.

“[Tasha K.] is in the business of spreading salacious rumors about celebrities for profit. In their words, they ‘sell drama,’ and they do not let the truth get in the way of putting out a story that will make money for them. Kebe admitted that she would not hesitate to publish a knowingly false story if it would attract viewers,” Pequignot said.

Tasha K.’s own statements present the biggest challenge to winning her appeal. For instance, she hopped on an IG live and admitted she was publishing bogus stories about Cardi B.

“I knew it was fake, and guess what, because I knew it was m############ fake, I still made that s### go viral, I still made it go viral, you dumb ho, and it does nothing to my credibility at all,” Tasha K. said in a video that was introduced as evidence against her.

Cardi and her lawyers said Tasha K.’s behavior grew more extreme after the lawsuit was filed, and she embarked on an ill-fated vendetta to take down the rap star by using hashtags like #herpesB in an attempt to go viral to cause maximum damage and embarrassment.

Cardi’s lawyer said Tasha K.’s conduct has been “patently outrageous and depraved” and that her behavior and statements were “repugnant.”

The rapper and her legal team want the Appeals Court to affirm the verdict.

Kyrie Irving Says “Anti-Semitic” Label Not Justified After Promoting Book And Film Claiming Powerful Jews Worship Satan

Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving has come forward to deny he is antisemitic after he promoted a movie with stereotypes about Jewish people and disinformation.

Irving promoted a movie called “Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America,” which was released in 2018 and is based on a 2015 book by the same name.

The book and movie claim that high-ranking Jewish executives and politicians worship Satan and that modern Jews, Christians, and Muslims have covered up the true identity of The Children of Israel.

The book says anti-black racism can be traced directly to Jewish religious texts.

After some intense media scrutiny, Kyrie Irving came forward to explain himself today (October 29th).

I am an OMNIST [one who respects all religions and gods] and I meant no disrespect to anyone’s religious beliefs. The ‘Anti-Semitic’ label that is being pushed on me is not justified and does not reflect the reality or truth I live in everyday. I embrace and want to learn from all walks of life and religions. Hélà,” Kyrie Irving said.

Brooklyn Nets owner Joe Tsai was also forced to issue an official statement regarding Kyrie’s comments and his own position.

“I’m disappointed that Kyrie appears to support a film based on a book full of anti-Semitic disinformation,” Tsai tweeted. “I want to sit down and make sure he understands this is hurtful to all of us, and as a man of faith, it is wrong to promote hate based on race, ethnicity or religion.”

On Friday, October 28th, the team released a statement saying, “The Brooklyn Nets strongly condemn and have no tolerance for the promotion of any form of hate speech. We believe that in these situations, our first action must be open, honest dialogue. We thank those, including the ADL (Anti-Defamation League), who have been supportive during this time.”

Kyrie’s comments come on the heels of Kanye West’s claims that Jewish people have an unusual amount of control over the music, film, and sports industries.

During an interview with Piers Morgan, Ye said he wants to have the record labels, movie companies and the NFL and NBA do a live stream to analyze the top stars’ deals to prove his point.

Elon Musk Says He Didn’t Restore Kanye’s Twitter Account

Kanye is back on Twitter but not because the businessman and its new owner Elon Musk gave the go-ahead.

Twitter’s new owner Elon Musk said he didn’t reinstate Ye’s account, which was suspended for threats against Jewish people and antisemitic statements.

Musk said the microblogging platform did that on its own … even before he took over the company on Thursday, October 27th, after paying $44 billion for the enterprise.

“Ye’s account was restored by Twitter before the acquisition. They did not consult with or inform me,” Musk said in a tweet.

He also shared a post explaining, “Ye [Kanye West] was never suspended by Twitter nor was account taken down His account was “restricted” to read-only mode two weeks ago following an antisemitic tweet. Account restriction is automatically lifted after the user deletes the offending tweet.”

The Grammy Award-winner tweeted for the first time in two years on Saturday, Oct. 8. He returned to the platform after Instagram restricted him for making antisemitic posts. At the time, Musk tweeted his guy, “Welcome back to Twitter, my friend!”

On the next day, Kanye threatened to go “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE,” while adding he can’t be anti-Semitic because Black people are actually Jew.”

Twitter removed the post and locked Kanye’s account.  Kanye is back on the platform but he is not talking about

Diddy Becomes A Billionaire, Berner Surpasses Dr. Dre As One Of The Richest Rappers On Earth

Hip-Hop mogul Sean “P. Diddy” Combs has joined the exclusive rap billionaire club, becoming the second wealthiest rapper in the world.

Months ago, that title was held by producer-turned-rapper-turned-designer Kanye West until he started floating ideas about George Floyd’s death not being a murder and spewing antisemitic rhetoric— language that alienated him from his business partners and allies.

Even Diddy, aka Brother Love, tried to curb his friend but found himself mocked and ridiculed by Yeezy.

However, now, Diddy finds himself as the second highest-ranking billionaire rapper in the world after almost 35 years of grinding in the industry.

According to ZogBlog, a publication by former Forbes journalist Zack O’Malley Greenburg, the Bad Boy’s investments and business deals have paid off.

“Diddy becomes the third billionaire minted by Hip-Hop surging past Ye on the strength of several assets that have weathered the pandemic remarkably well,” he wrote. “The value of his incredibly resilient Cîroc partnership with Diageo—which functions like an equity stake while creating cash flows for Diddy in the neighborhood of $60 million annually—continues to account for the bulk of his fortune.”

Greenburg also highlighted other businesses that have contributed to the ranking.

“The success of other assets, including DeLeón tequila (he owns half) and Revolt (he’s the majority shareholder), as well as his music catalog, startup investments, and a considerable collection of worldly possessions, have finally pushed the impresario into ten-figure territory,” O’Malley Greenburg informed.

He also shared that Ye remains one of the most financially secure artists in the culture, rocking out with half a billion based on his 5% stake in ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s $3.2 billion shapewear line, his master recordings and music publishing and the Yeezy brand.

Rap star Jay-Z topped the list with a net worth of $1.5 billion, Diddy was #2 with $1 billion, and Kanye was listed at #3 with $500 million.

A newcomer to the list was rapper/marijuana entrepreneur Berner, who overtook Dr. Dre with a net worth of $410 million, thanks to his incredibly successful Cookies brand, which has 48 stores in the U.S. and around the world.

Dr. Dre landed at #5 with $400 million thanks to his sale of Beats to Apple in August of 2014 in a cash and stock deal.

Xscape To Receive Lady Of Soul Honor At 2022 Soul Train Awards

Kandi Burruss-Tucker, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, Tamika Scott, and LaTocha Scott will be recognized at this year’s Soul Train Awards. The ceremony will present the foursome, collectively known as Xscape, with the Lady of Soul honor.

“Given how important Soul Train is to all of us, we’re so thankful to be honored with the Lady of Soul Award this year,” said the members of Xscape in a press release. “It’s going to be an amazing night, and we can’t wait to see you all there.”

Xscape became an R&B force in the 1990s. The Atlanta-bred group’s first album, 1993’s Hummin’ Comin’ at ‘Cha, hosts the Top 10 singles “Just Kickin’ It” and “Understanding.”

Latocha, Tamika, Kandi, and Tiny went on to release 1995’s Off the Hook and 1998’s Traces of My Lipstick. All three albums by Xscape earned Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America.

Xscape Left A Mark In The Music World & The Television World

Kandi Burruss-Tucker and Tameka “Tiny” Harris each won a Grammy Award for co-writing TLC’s #1 smash “No Scrubs” from 1999. All four Xscape members also appeared on reality shows like The Real Housewives of Atlanta, T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle, and R&B Divas: Atlanta.

“Xscape is one of the most notable R&B supergroups of all time. Their powerful vocal harmonies laid the foundation for ‘90s R&B and some of today’s chart-topping hits,” said Connie Orlando, EVP Specials, Music Programming & Music Strategy for BET Networks. “Their sound is undeniably unique and masterful. We look forward to honoring these multi-talented artists collectively on R&B’s biggest stage, Soul Train Awards.”

The 2022 Soul Train Awards presented by BET take place on November 27 at 8 pm ET/PT on BET and BET Her. In addition, BET Soul will dedicate a full hour to a collection of Xscape music videos on October 28 at 5 pm ET.

Renaissance album creator Beyoncé and Good Morning Gorgeous album creator Mary J. Blige lead the list of 2022 Soul Train Award nominees. Both vocalists earned 7 nods, respectively. Actor/comedian Deon Cole (Barbershop, Black-ish) will serve as the host for the show.

Kanye West Gets Banned By Stephen Colbert During Recent Funny Monologue

Another famous celebrity is distancing themselves from Kanye West after his controversial statements about Jewish People.

Stephen Colbert has banned West, whose legal name is Ye, making his announcement during his Thursday, Oct. 27 night episode’s monologue.

The late-night talk show host said, “I have a big announcement to make. After much thought and soul-searching, I, Stephen Colbert, am banning Kanye West from the Ed Sullivan Theater. I have to. Line in the sand.”

In a joking manner, he added, his “jurisdiction extends into the northern half of Times Square … coming north of Bubba Gump Shrimp.”

Colbert continued by saying, “Stay out of Times Square.”

In his skit, he said, “I have no excuses for why I didn’t do this before except perhaps that he has never been on the show, we had no plans for him to be on the show, we have never asked him to be on the show and I am not sure he is aware that I have a show.”

“I had to do it now because I was afraid, he would just show up at any moment,” the comedian continued.

While this was a joke, probably mocking the pile-on of people distancing themselves from the artist and his vile comments, the multi-Grammy Award-winner has been seriously dissed by others and it has cost him a pretty penny.

A number of brands and partners like GAP, Adidas, Vogue, Balenciaga, and more have all stepped away.

His net worth has dropped substantially too. In July, he was worth $6.6 billion and as of this week, he is worth $400 million and is being sued by a litany of people looking to knock that number down significantly also.

Do you think Colbert was serious?

Madam Tussauds Takes Down Figure Of Kanye West After Public Outcry Based On His Recent Statements

Another famous brand distanced itself from Kanye West after his controversial statements about George Floyd and Jewish People.

According to the Journal, Madame Tussauds has removed West, whose legal name is Ye, from the public view, releasing a statement to the press explaining their actions.

“Ye’s (Kanye West’s) figure has been retired from the attraction floor to our archive,” the release informs. “Each profile earns their place at Madame Tussauds London, and we listen to our guests and the public on who they expect to see at the attraction.”

The multi-Grammy Award-winner was honored with a replica in 2015 where it stood beside his then-wife Kim Kardashian.

He was also censored on social media after vowing to go “death con 3” on Jewish people.

While many brands and partners like GAP, Adidas, Vogue, Balenciaga, and more have stepped away, his music partners have not.

According to Spotify’s chief executive Daniel Ek, while West’s comments were “awful,” they will not be pulling his music from the streaming service.

He also said the decision to have his music removed would also come from Universal Music’s Def Jam label, the record company that Ye was signed to.

Watch DJ Semtex’s “Scary” Video Featuring Cozz and Twitch 4EVA

DJ Semtex is used to making big, international connections. During his epic, 15-year run with the UK’s BBC Radio 1Xtra, he gave artists like Drake, Nicki Minaj and Kanye West some of their earliest and most crucial overseas exposure. It’s no wonder these and other rap superstars have continued to sit in his hot seat long after they made themselves scarce with the media. (Semtex currently holds down rival station Capital XTRA, and hosts the podcast Hip Hop Raised Me).

Now, Semtex is bringing the same spirit to his own original music productions for his label, Seminal Sound. On the brand-new single “Scary,” he brings the underrated, L.A-based Dreamville rapper Cozz together with Twitch 4EVA, one of the most exciting new stars in Ghana’s exploding music scene, to create an epic, distinctive Trap Soul banger.

With its Halloween references and ominous bass line, “Spooky” is right on time for the season of costume parties and gloomy weather. The horror that Cozz and Twitch 4EVA speak of in their lyrics is not supernatural, however, but the thought of losing out on love. If you’ve ever been in a relationship that’s gone from smooth sailing to shaky ground, you’ll surely be able to relate.

The video, shot between Ghana and Los Angeles, is similarly full of dark shadows and existential dread. While Semtex and Twitch 4EVA encounter turbulence, fog and torrential rains on their way out to enjoy Accra’s nightlife, Cozz wakes up with the night terrors at home in L.A., where he’s haunted by the thoughts of losing his lady love.

Check out the “Scary” video below, and look out for more continent-bridging collabs from DJ Semtex and Seminal Sound.

Teen YSL Gang Member Sentenced To Four Life Sentences After Murder Conviction

One of the members of Atlanta’s YSL gang, who was arrested with rappers Young Thug and Gunner on RICO charges earlier in the year, has been convicted of murder.

According to FOX 5, on Thursday, October 27th, Jayden Myrick, 19, was found guilty of a 2018 robbery and murder at the Capital City Country Club in the historic Brookhaven neighborhood in Atlanta.

A Fulton County Superior Court sentenced Myrick to life without parole, three consecutive life sentences, and five consecutive years.

Myrick has been convicted by a jury on 16 counts, including violation of street gang terrorism and prevention, malice murder, felony murder, armed robbery, criminal attempt to commit armed robbery, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a first offender probationer.

The killing happened outside of a wedding venue.

Myrick, who also goes by “SetTrip” or “JayMan,” is said to have linked with his co-defendant Torrus Fleetwood and robbed at gunpoint four people who were waiting for an Uber or Lyft outside of the venue following a wedding.

One of the people robbed was Christian Broder, the general manager at popular DC restaurant Millie’s, who followed Myrick after the robbery trying to get at least his license back.

The then-17-year-old Myrick turned and shot the man in the stomach, killing him a week later.

During the murder case, he admitted to mocking Broder’s family on a jail call and also attempted to intimidate witnesses from testifying against him.

This is one of the first heavy convictions in the Young Slime Life RICO case that racked in dozens (28) of alleged members for various crimes. The prosecution alleges Myrick has been groomed since he was a child to be a criminal, committing acts in the name of his crew.

Deputy District Attorney Chris Sperry said, “Today’s verdict from the jury and the sentence imposed was a clear message that the city belongs to the citizens of Fulton County and not to the gangs.”

“I’m praying for Mr. Broder’s family and friends as they grieve the loss of a beloved husband, father, and brother. It is unconscionable that a 34-year-old man who had his whole life ahead of him was murdered in such a senseless act of violence,” said Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

“As the defendant’s testimony illustrated, when young people are recruited into gangs, the violent crimes they commit inflict tragedy on their victims and on themselves when they end up in prison.”

38 Spesh Talks Griselda, New Album, Benny The Butcher, TRUST Health And How Snitching Is Bad For Kids

Rochester, New York’s own 38 Spesh is one of the most elite MC’s out today. Period. The TRUST empire impresario is changing the game bar by bar. He remains true to his vision, but also original. He has aligned nicely with Benny The Butcher and the Griselda Records camp in the current, ever-growing rap landscape. But – unlike others – the 37-year old maintains a unique style, differentiating himself from his Buffalo counterparts.

Spesh also has an interesting take on how to help the hood, unlike some that seem to have one-dimension. He co-mingles conscious messages with heavy street bars, maintaining “You can’t feed a baby steak.” He has established TRUST Health, his own initiative to get the hood mentally and physically healthy. In the 10th episode of the Amazing AllHipHop Podcast with Jigsaw And Slops, Spesh gets deep. Also, at WonWorld Studios, he delves into the tragic, sudden death of his older brother and how he manages to push on. He explains how he departed the streets of Rochester “on pure faith” to getting back to music. “I was dream chasing on another level,” he admits.

Now, Spesh returns with 7 Shots, his latest opus that is already getting high praise from peers and fans alike. Check out this exclusive, must see interview and listen to 7 Shots below.

Elon Musk Takes Over Twitter And MySpace Trends

Elon Musk has taken control of Twitter and immediately fired several top executives.

According to Reuters, Musk – the world’s richest man – let go of three leadership team members, including chief executive officer Parag Agrawal, in one of his first decisions as boss of the social media giant.

In addition, chief financial officer Ned Segal and Vijaya Gadde, head of legal, policy, and trust, were reportedly let go.

Musk responded to the news by tweeting, “the bird is freed,” a reference to the social media network’s bird logo.

The 51-year-old’s purchase of the company concludes a six-month saga in which Twitter initially rejected his offer and then sued the billionaire.

This was after he indicated he would back out of the deal due to concerns about spam accounts and whistleblower claims regarding allegedly lax cybersecurity practices.

The firings have yet to be confirmed by Elon Musk or representatives at Twitter.

On Twitter, the hashtag #MySpace started to trend upon the news of the “Chief Twit” taking over the platform. Many opined for the return of MySpace, which was once the world’s largest social media platform.

The site was purchased for $500 million in 2005 by News Corp and eventually tanked upon competition from upstarts like Facebook and Twitter.

Kanye West Sued For $4.5 million By Former Business Manager

Another lawsuit targeting Kanye West, reminding him he is a rapper, has just been filed. His former business manager is now suing the star for $4.5 million.

According to The Blast, Thomas St. John, one of the people the artist placed in charge of his business affairs, is suing him because Yeezy is in breach of contract after refusing to pay him his agreed-upon monthly salary.

St. John alleges Kanye was “aggressive” with him when he broke their agreement.

The complaint states that the celebrity business manager and accountant started working with Ye at the top of 2022 and was hired to provide business management, accounting, and taxation services.

He further notes in the claim by March 30, 2022, he was being “introduced to Yeezy’s business associates as ‘Ye’s business manager,'” adding, “Mr. St. John had already developed a business strategy for Yeezy’s negotiations with one of (Kanye’s) key business partners. By April 12, 2022, representatives of Mr. West introduced Mr. St. John to business associates as the CFO of Donda, another one of Mr. West’s entities.”

St. John wanted Ye to agree to a two-year guarantee because he would be working directly with the artist-turned-businessman to ensure his needs were met.

The lawsuit says, “In addition to the economic costs and risks associated with committing to Defendants as clients, Plaintiff also needed assurance that Defendants would not simply walk away from the business relationship. Mr. St. John, however, proposed to compromise on an agreement with a minimum term of 18 months.”

St. John said his contract says he was “retained to act as Kanye’s “most senior financial advisor,” serve as the Chief Financial Officer of one of his businesses, and be compensated with a “monthly retainer fee of $300,000.”

However, at a meeting, Kanye wanted to nix the deal shortly after the agreement was made.

“At this meeting, Mr. West became heated and aggressive. He screamed at Mr. St. John and made clear he no longer wanted to work with (St. John.) When confronted by the 18-month commitment that had just been made, Mr. West stated words to the effect of ‘The 18-month term was b#######’ and ‘You’re insane for even thinking I would stick to it,” the complaint alleges.

The former multi-billionaire only paid 3-months’ worth of payments to St. John, nixing the other 15 months.

The lawsuit states, “as of the filing of this Complaint, Defendants breached the agreement by failing and refusing, despite Plaintiff’s demand, to pay the minimum $300,000 monthly payments for July, August, and September 2022, despite timely receiving invoices. And it is clear based on their statements and conduct that Defendants do not intend to make any further monthly payments.”

“As a direct and proximate result of Kanye’s breach, (the company) has been damaged in the amount of the unpaid fee balance of $900,000 as of October 12, 2022,” it continues. “It will continue to be damaged for an additional amount of $3,600,000 for fees owed from October 2022 to November 2023, through the remainder of the minimum 18-month terms of the Agreement.”

Early this week, Kanye was sued for not paying another bill, for a place he rented in Miami.

Weeks ago, after his “Drink Champs” performance, George Floyd’s daughter and mother sued him for $250 million because of the derogatory remarks he made about the deceased.

Also, two firms that previously worked with Kanye on deals and his marriage have all abandoned ways.

Ye has not responded to any of the lawsuits directly.

Did Loud Records’ Steve Rifkind Tip CNN Off To Kanye West?

At this point, it looks like Kanye West is getting jumped by several different gangs at once. I am not his biggest fan so I do not have a tremendous amount of sympathy for him. His anti-Black stance and his antisemitic remarks have turned people off so bad that it looks like he may lose it all when its all said and done. Let me pivot a bit.

Steve Rifkind got on social media and included himself in this whole thing. It struck me as odd. I paid it little mind, because this is what we are doing in a social media world. Here’s the thing: it wasn’t odd. Even though the days of Loud Records are mostly in the rearview, dude is a heavy hitter. Mobb Deep, Big Pun, Wu-Tang and so many others went through those halls of fame. And Rifkind’s impact continues today with Kanye.

You can read below, but Rifkind essentially clarifies that he and his Jewish friends that were present at the Drink Champs taping with Kanye West were NOT the reason that Nore didn’t correct Ye when he went on a antisemitic rant. Nore made the strong suggestion that this is the reason he didn’t speak up. Did he expect his Jewish friends to jump on camera and wild out? I am not sure about that.

A post shared by Steven J. Rifkind (@steverifkind)

So, that is old news. Here is the new rumor.

I am getting a strong, powerful source that told me that Steve Rifkind is the one that went to CNN and let them know that Kanye West aka Ye wanted to name his next album Hitler. Now, CNN has not directly reported that fact/rumor, but they do have several unnamed sources in a recent story on Ye’s purported fascination with Hitler. That report goes in, but my source tells me Rifkind tipped them off to it all. CNN is not going to run anything like this without verification so they did their own due diligence. They also included Van Lathan that said similar things. Lathan, a former employee of TMZ, also revealed that the media giant suppressed antisemitic comments West made at that time.

Did Rifkind get a couple licks in on Kanye while he was getting jumped? That’s the rumor. At the same time, it seems to make some sense. Just a couple of years ago, these dudes were kicking it. But, Kanye reportedly called Rifkind his “his favorite Jewish homeboy.” And that was that. I definitely wouldn’t like somebody calling me “my favorite African-American.” So, if Rifkind did this on behalf of his Jewish contingency, it is what it is.

He has said nice things about Kanye, so who knows. “Yes, I am Jewish but I have seen the brilliant, giving, and compassion side of him too,” Steve Rifkind said in his IG post. “I pray for you Ye that you get this right and you make another billion, but who ever you are mad at take it up with them.”

And to think, these guys were friends and stuff.

Lets take a trip down memory lane with the greatest hits of Loud Records.

Quentin Tarantino Says Kanye Had Idea For “Funny Slave” Video But Not “Django Unchained”

Quentin Tarantino has dismissed Kanye West’s claim that he gave the director the idea for his 2012 movie “Django Unchained.”

During an appearance on “Piers Morgan Uncensored” earlier this month, the “Stronger” rapper claimed that Tarantino and his Django leading man Jamie Foxx “got the idea” for the western from him after he pitched the concept for the Gold Digger music video, which features Foxx.

Tarantino rubbished the claim during an interview on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Thursday night.

“There’s not truth to the idea that Kanye West came up with the idea of Django and then he told that to me, and I go, ‘Hey, wow, that’s a really great idea. Let me take Kanye’s idea and make ‘Django Unchained’ out of it.’ That didn’t happen,” he said. “I’d had the idea for Django for a while before I ever met Kanye.”

The “Pulp Fiction” filmmaker explained that he met the controversial rapper when West was trying to make movies based on different songs from his debut album The College Dropout.

“He did have an idea for a video. I do think it was for the ‘Gold Digger’ video, that he would be a slave. And the whole thing was the slave narrative where he’s a slave, and he’s singing ‘Gold Digger.’ And it was very funny. It was a really, really funny idea,” Tarantino recalled. “It was meant to be ironic. And it’s like a huge musical. I mean, like no expenses spared, with him in this slave rag outfit, doing everything… But I wish he had done it. It sounded really cool. Anyway, that’s what he’s referring to.”

“Django Unchained,” which follows a freed slave as he tries to rescue his wife, starred Foxx, Christoph Waltz, and Leonardo DiCaprio.

The video for “Gold Digger,” which actually appeared on West’s second album Late Registration, was ultimately completely different, with pin-up girls and moving magazine covers appearing alongside West and Foxx.

Monica Responds To Rumors She’s Dating Kodak Black

Are R&B legend Monica Denise Arnold and Florida rapper Bill “Kodak Black” Kapri hooking up romanticly? According to Monica, the answer is a resounding no.

Monica posted several photographs of herself with Kodak Black on Instagram. Those images, dated October 4, apparently sparked rumors on social media that the two musicians were in a relationship.

Earlier this week, reports began circulating that Monica and Kodak Black recently went out together on her 42nd birthday. Once again, an Instagram post ignited the gossip.

“On a date kinda nervous… 😉,” wrote Monica in an IG Story. The Atlanta-bred Grammy winner also uploaded a picture with 25-year-old Kodak Black where she captioned the photo, “THANK YOUUUUU.”

Monica has now responded to the online chatter about her personal life. She went over to Twitter to let her followers know that she is not involved with the “Super Gremlin” performer.

“Bill & Shimmy My Heart … They know they can trust me with whatever & never have to doubt me!! Not every relationship is about messing or dating!” tweeted Monica.

The Miss Thang album creator added, “I hang with their moms because I’m their age! LOL. I’m gonna FOREVER love support & encourage them! They don’t play about me♥️💤.”

Monica has two children with her former boyfriend Rocko, a rapper also from Atlanta. In November 2010, “The Boy Is Mine” hitmaker married NBA player Shannon Brown. The couple had a daughter together before getting divorced in 2019.

T.I. Talks Gun Control In America

Clifford “T.I.” Harris has had several run-ins with the law. Perhaps his most infamous criminal case involved the rap star pleading guilty to federal gun charges in 2008.

T.I.’s conviction for possession of machine guns and possession of firearms by a convicted felon led to a one-year prison sentence and a $100,300 fine. A plea agreement reduced the possible maximum ten-year sentence and a $250,000 fine.

Fast forward to 2022, Tip is a free man. The 42-year-old rapper/actor appeared on Thursday night’s edition of Comedy Central’s Hell Of A Week with Charlamagne Tha God.

Charlamagne invited T.I. to take part in a panel discussion about current events. Republican pollster Kristen Soltis Anderson and comedian Tommy Davidson also appeared on the show.

T.I. Suggests Gun Control Is An Oxymoron

At one point, possible gun control legislation in the United States came up on Hell Of A Week. T.I. shared his personal views on the hot-button political topic that motivates many single-issue voters.

“Gun control in this country – that sounds like an oxymoron, a little bit,” stated the Grand Hustle Records co-founder. “The country was founded on firepower, who has the most ability to pose the biggest threat.”

In addition, T.I. offered, “How about more than just an ID to get [a firearm]? They already do background checks, that’s not necessarily enough because they don’t arrest for you being a crazy white person.”

Tip Addresses Gun License Policies

The Kill the King album creator seemed to be referring to the fact that Caucasians carry out the majority of large-scale gun-related tragedies in America. According to reports, white shooters conducted 53% of the mass shootings between 1982 and October 2022.

T.I. added, “As long as you have managed to bypass the legal system and you’re 21, that’s all you need. And once you get a license, with any other license you can have – whether it’s a driver’s license, a barber’s license, a CDL license – you have to renew it.”

He continued, “At a certain period of time they reevaluate whether or not you should be eligible to still have this license – are you responsible? A gun license you can get at 18 and keep it until you’re 80. And people change.”

LaKeith Stanfield Stars In SZA’s “Shirt” Music Video

Fans of SZA got new music from the R&B vocalist overnight. Additionally, the Top Dawg Entertainment recording artist dropped off a music video for her “Shirt” song.

“Shirt” also features an appearance by Academy Award nominee Lakeith Stanfield. Legendary director Dave Meyers was behind the camera for the new visual.

Lakeith Stanfield is likely best known for playing Darius Epps in Donald “Childish Gambino” Glover’s Atlanta television series. The California-bred actor also starred in films such as Get Out and Judas and the Black Messiah.

Before directing SZA’s latest clip, Dave Meyers helped create music videos for Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Nas, DMX, Britney Spears, OutKast, Missy Elliott, Usher, Aaliyah, Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and more.

SZA’s “I Hate U” became a Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hit last year by peaking at #7. LaKeith Stanfield starred in the “I Hate U” visualizer as well.

Childish Gambino and SZA have also worked as co-stars in music videos. The 32-year-old songstress popped up in Gambino’s internet-breaking “This Is America” video. Gambino returned the favor by appearing in the TDE performer’s “Garden.”

SZA gained a #3 entry in 2021 as a guest on “Kiss Me More” by Doja Cat. In 2020, “Good Days” rose to #9 on the weekly chart. “What Lovers Do” by Maroon 5 featuring SZA made it to #9. Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “All The Stars” topped off at #7.

The Recording Industry Association of America presented SZA with a 3x-Platinum Award for her 2017 album Ctrl. That body of work earned SZA five nominations at the 2018 Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist.
