Kanye West Renounces Antisemitism Hours After D.C. Shooting Then Promotes “Heil Hitler”

Kanye West declared he was “done with antisemitism” on Wednesday (May 22), just hours after two Israeli Embassy staffers were murdered outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C.

The victims, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim, were a couple planning to get engaged. They were gunned down near 3rd and F streets NW around 9 p.m. local time after leaving an event hosted by the American Jewish Committee.

The suspect, 30-year-old Elias Rodriguez from West’ s hometown of Chicago, was arrested at the scene and reportedly shouted, “Free, free Palestine” during his capture, according to ABC News.

Just hours later, West posted a string of messages on X, formerly Twitter, suggesting a spiritual awakening.

“I am done with antisemitism,” he wrote. “I love all people.”

In another post, he added, “TRUE PEACE COMES FROM GOD’S TRUTH TURN AWAY FROM FAME’S ILLUSION AND FIND THE REAL LOVE IS THE BRIDGE BETWEEN ALL PEOPLE CROSS IT AND LEAVE DIVISION IN THE DUST.”

He followed that with, “God forgive me for the pain I’ve caused.”

But the apparent change of heart didn’t last.

Roughly an hour after his public renunciation, West reposted a video showing a group of men from his “choir” chanting lyrics from his banned track “Heil Hitler” while standing on Diddy’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The antisemitic shooting and West’s posts came within hours of each other, drawing attention to the timing of his sudden apology.

The rapper, who has repeatedly made inflammatory remarks about Jewish people, previously said in February, “I love Hitler,” “I’m a Nazi” and “IM NEVER APOLOGIZING FOR MY JEWISH COMMENTS (sic).”

West’s latest song, “Heil Hitler,” has been removed from nearly all major streaming platforms except for Twitter (X), where he continues to share antisemitic content.

His concert in South Korea was also canceled in response to the controversy over the song, but he believes is art.

Kash Doll brushed off cheating whispers and relationship drama Tuesday (May 14) after a photo of Za’Darius Smith in what looked like a hotel room with a woman’s feet nearby made the rounds online.

The image, allegedly taken in April 2025, sparked speculation that the Detroit rapper was being played.

But Smith quickly fired back on social media, calling out the timing and motives behind the post. “Uploading something from last year to try and break us up is crazy,” he wrote.

He doubled down on his loyalty to Kash Doll with a message referring to her by her real name.

“Arkeisha Knight isn’t going anywhere!” he insisted. “So y’all need to stop trying.”

The NFL star later deleted the posts, but not before the message landed. While Kash Doll hasn’t directly addressed the rumors, she posted a photo of Smith backstage at one of her recent performances, clearly showing support. Smith then shared the same image on his Instagram Story.

He also commented on Kash Doll’s post: “Now I see why these h**s mad.”

The couple’s relationship first caught attention when they were seen together at an event in Ghana.

During an April interview, Kash later confirmed the romance, revealing they met during a night out when Smith approached her in person instead of sliding into her DMs. “He came over with that energy. I said, ‘Oh, wow,'” she said.

Kim Kardashian marked a major milestone in her legal journey with a backyard graduation bash celebrating the end of six years of studies and her eligibility to sit for the California bar exam.

The SKIM’s founder turned aspiring attorney completed the state’s Law Office Study Program, a non-traditional route that allows students to train under a licensed lawyer instead of attending law school.

Kardashian logged more than 5,100 hours of legal study while juggling four kids, multiple businesses, a hit Hulu series and her ongoing work in criminal justice reform.

“All of you guys have been on this journey with me,” she said during her speech. “It did start with Van and I. Well, it started with the Twitter video that I saw that popped up.”

The intimate ceremony was held in her backyard and included family, friends and mentors like Van Jones and Jessica Jackson.

Her youngest son Psalm, 5, wore a suit in tribute to her late father, attorney Robert Kardashian Sr., while daughter Chicago, 7, dressed in a look inspired by her mom’s 2023 Harvard appearance.

Kid Cudi testified Thursday (May 22) as the ninth day of Diddy’s federal trial got underway. On the stand, he recounted a series of events that followed after Diddy allegedly learned of Cudi’s relationship with Cassie Ventura.

Kid Cudi described receiving a panicked phone call from Ventura in December 2011, informing him that Diddy had discovered their relationship. Cudi said Ventura was “really shook” that day. Shortly after, Kid Cudi was notified by a Diddy employee that he was inside his home unexpectedly.

Upon returning, Kid Cudi found his dog locked in his bedroom, though Diddy had already left the premises. Cudi said he called Diddy, confronted him, and was told, “I’m over here waiting for you.” He also contacted police after the incident.

Tensions escalated the following month, when Kid Cudi’s Porsche was set on fire in his driveway. He testified that his dog’s caretaker alerted him to the blaze while he was away. Jurors were shown images of the destroyed car, which Kid Cudi said was damaged by a Molotov cocktail. Ventura, who testified the previous week, stated that Diddy had threatened to blow up Kid Cudi’s car after discovering her relationship with the rapper.

When asked why his relationship with Ventura ended, he replied, “The drama. It was getting out of hand. I wanted to give space.” The prosecutor asked, “What drama?,” to which Cudi replied, “The break in. For my safety, her safety…”

Prosecutors argued that the act of arson was part of a broader pattern of violent and intimidating conduct by Diddy, which they claim supports their case for racketeering and sex trafficking charges. The video referenced online debate over the 2020 shooting involving Megan Thee Stallion, who was shot in the foot after leaving a party in Los Angeles.

Lanez was convicted in 2022 and is currently serving a 10-year sentence. however, his legal team recently claimed they have new material suggesting Megan’s former friend Kelsey Harris was the shooter and that Lanez tried to intervene.

The claims were accompanied by alleged ring camera footage and were backed by Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, who called the case “politically motivated” and urged California Gov. Gavin Newsom to issue a pardon.

The Memphis rapper caught heat after sharing a Lanez track with a post that read, “I’m forever grateful for the heart I have, the way I love, the way I treat people, my pure intent. It’s all a blessing.”

Given Lanez’s 2022 conviction for shooting Megan in 2020, the post quickly raised eyebrows.

Dave Portnoy didn’t mince words when he torched Kanye West during an appearance on Club Shay Shay, calling out the rapper’s history of antisemitism and public disrespect.

The show, initially set for May 31, 2025, at Incheon Munhak Main Stadium, was officially canceled by Interpark Global and Coupang, according to Reuters.

The controversy centers around West’s song “Heil Hitler,” which dropped on May 8—Victory in Europe Day—and includes repeated pro-Nazi lyrics and a sample of a 1935 Adolf Hitler speech.

The track was quickly pulled from major streaming platforms after widespread backlash. Kanye West has also faced mounting criticism for antisemitic and anti-LGBTQ posts on social media in recent months.

Chris Brown walked free from a British jail on Wednesday (May 22) after posting over $6 million in bail following charges tied to an alleged bottle attack at a London nightclub that left a music producer hospitalized.

The bail was granted by Southwark Crown Court less than a week after Brown was formally charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.

Chris Brown celebrated his freedom with a brief, poignant all-caps message: “FROM THE CAGE TO THE STAGE!!!! BREEZYBOWL.”

His legal troubles stem from a February 19, 2023, incident at Tape, an upscale venue in London’s Mayfair neighborhood, where Brown is alleged to have struck producer Abe Diaw with a bottle.

Chris Brown, who was not in court for the bail hearing, had been in custody since his arrest at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester on Wednesday (May 15).

That arrest marked his first return to the United Kingdom since the alleged assault. A judge denied bail at his initial court appearance on Friday (May 17).

Judge Tony Baumgartner approved Brown’s release under strict conditions. The court ordered him to immediately pay a $5.4 million security bond, with an additional $1.3 million due within a week.

He must also surrender his passport when not touring, avoid any contact with Diaw and stay away from Tape nightclub. The decision allows Brown to proceed with his Breezy Bowl XX tour, which launches June 8 in the Netherlands.

He is scheduled to perform in Manchester on June 15 as part of the tour’s UK leg.

50 Cent took a jab at Kid Cudi on Instagram Tuesday (May 21) by reposting a photo of the rapper in a wedding dress, just one day before Cudi is expected to testify in Diddy’s federal sex trafficking and racketeering case.

Kid Cudi is scheduled to testify Thursday (May 22) in the ongoing federal case against Combs. Prosecutors allege the Hip-Hop mogul ran a criminal enterprise that sexually exploited women and used threats and violence to keep them quiet.

Federal prosecutor Maureen Comey confirmed Cudi’s upcoming testimony during court proceedings last week.

His name surfaced during testimony from Cassie Ventura, who told jurors she had a brief relationship with Cudi in 2011 while still involved with Combs.

“We weren’t in the greatest place,” Ventura said of her relationship with Combs at the time. She described being emotionally unstable and said she met Cudi in December 2011.

According to Ventura, Combs became enraged after learning about her involvement with the “Day’ n’ Nite” rapper. “Sean wanted Scott’s friends to see Scott’s car get blown up,” she testified.

Soon after, Cudi’s Porsche exploded in his driveway.

Prosecutors believe Cudi’s testimony could support claims that Combs used intimidation and violence to control those around him.

The government alleges Combs orchestrated “freak offs” — drug-fueled sex parties involving male sex workers and coerced women — as part of a larger criminal operation.

Combs has denied the trafficking allegations, saying all sexual encounters were consensual.

He has admitted to domestic violence in past relationships but maintains he was not involved in organized criminal activity.

Kneecap rapper Mo Chara has been charged with a terrorism offense in the United Kingdom after displaying a Hezbollah flag during a live performance in London.

Authorities allege the flag was shown “in such a way or in such circumstances as to arouse reasonable suspicion that he is a supporter of a proscribed organisation, namely Hezbollah,” according to a statement from police.

The incident occurred at a Kneecap concert on November 21, 2024, but charges were filed after video footage of the event surfaced online in April 2025.

Tom Cruise bought a ticket to see Michael B. Jordan’s supernatural thriller Sinners at the movies and now he’s ready to share the screen with him too.

While walking the red carpet at the Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning premiere in New York on Sunday (May 18), Cruise told Extra he’s been eyeing a collaboration with Jordan for years.

“(I’m a) huge fan of his, huge fan of what he and (director Ryan) Coogler do together. Great film, great film. I recommend everyone go and see that picture many, many times. You know, you want to see it on the big screen,” Cruise said. “He’s enormously talented, very charismatic, great actor. I look forward to… I’d love to make a movie with him.”

When the interviewer pointed out he was manifesting the idea, Cruise didn’t hesitate.

“I’ve already put it out there,” he said. “Years ago, when I first met him, I was like, ‘This guy, I’d like to make movies with him.'”

The mutual admiration between the two actors has been fully displayed in recent weeks. Cruise publicly endorsed Sinners last month, posting a photo of himself inside a movie theater holding a ticket to the film.

Mystikal appeared in an Ascension Parish courtroom Tuesday (May 14) as his long-stalled rape case entered its third year without resolution.

The 53-year-old rapper, born Michael Tyler, has been held without bond since a July 2022 arrest on multiple felony charges, including first-degree rape, domestic abuse battery by strangulation, simple robbery and false imprisonment.

He has pleaded not guilty.

The hearing lasted most of the day but ended without a ruling. A gag order remains in effect, limiting what attorneys can say publicly. Legal teams are expected to meet again next week to determine next steps, though no trial date has been set.

Mystikal’s family was present in court but avoided speaking to reporters. His mother only commented briefly, saying, “I’m praying for him.”

The charges stem from an alleged assault at Mystikal’s home in Prairieville, Louisiana. According to police reports cited by USA Today, the victim claimed she was attacked during a dispute over money.

She told investigators Mystikal punched, choked and pulled out her hair before forcing her to pray with him to “remove bad spirits,” then allegedly raped her.

Mystikal, a registered sex offender, previously served six years in prison after pleading guilty to sexual battery and extortion in 2003. He has consistently denied the current allegations through his attorney.

A Louisiana State District Judge denied him bail shortly after his 2022 arrest. He remains in custody at the Ascension Parish Jail.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know there’s been an ongoing battle involving Daylyt, Joey Bada$$, Ray Vaughn, and a few others. It’s largely shaping up as a coastal war—Joey Bada$$, the Brooklyn don, going toe-to-toe with these West Coast cats. And to be clear, this is a battle Joey chose, but he’s earning a lot of respect for holding it down mostly solo. Sure, Loaded Lux and a few others have jumped in here and there, but for the most part, Joey’s standing on his own. And I think he wants it that way.

Now, the name that keeps coming up throughout this whole back-and-forth? Kendrick Lamar. People keep dropping his name, and Joey himself continues to mention both Kendrick and Top Dawg. It’s always exciting when there’s even a hint of a bigger battle looming in the distance. But let’s be real—is that actually going to happen?

I doubt it.

Right now, Kendrick is on tour with SZA, and he’s crushing it. Reports say he’s pulling in about $20 million per show. He’s not thinking about this little lyrical “skirmish”—at least not in a public way. I’m sure he’s aware of it; after all, we’ve seen nearly 14 diss tracks drop in a single week. It’s almost too much. We barely get time to digest the bars before another track drops. Yes, we’re loving the competitive energy, but I’d really like to sit with the lyrics and appreciate the craftsmanship behind them. Writing these raps isn’t easy.

But let’s not forget what Kendrick pulled off last year with the whole Drake situation. That was a masterclass—straight-up surgical. “Not Like Us” is still charting, still breaking records. It recently became the only rap song (or one of the few) to hit certain milestones—some even say it’s the highest-charting diss track ever. I haven’t verified that myself, but reputable outlets are reporting it. If that’s true, there’s no way Kendrick is going to descend from that level of success and hop into the mud with Joey Bada$$, Daylyt and the rest battling at street level.

People really don’t understand what it took for Kendrick to do what he did. It wasn’t just the music—it was the strategy, the timing, the rollout, the artistry. He dismantled Drake with precision.
