Saweetie Classily Booty Claps Back at Haters!

Saweetie is living her best life. As with any entertainer, she is prone to receive both constructive criticism and blatant hate. So, yesterday (Dec. 15) she had the time. Through her Instagram account, she classily booty claps back at any and all haters.

Thus far, the Queen of Ice has yet to release her debut album, Pretty B#### Music. Regardless, of that the “My Type” MC is already three times platinum. Cunningly, the college-graduate combines her brainpower with her proven business-acumen.

So now, her professional success rivals that of her physical beauty. The public notices. Some even, go as far, as equating her outward beauty with her professional accomplishments. Recently, the Sac spitter has earned two highly coveted nominations.

In fact, these are for Grammy Award for Best New Artist 2022. The other being Grammy Award for Best Rap Song 2022. So, yes, the naysayers are running amuck. Especially, after the recent NYC Jingle Ball tour stop which many describe as celebration of the struggle twerk.

Therefore, Icy Bae strategically shows off another twerk session. She ensures it contains similar heel-clicking choreography as previous performances. The snide caption, “i heard i was the best twerker in da worrrrrrld,” perfectly pushes her unbothered sentiment.

Nick Cannon Explains Why He Didn’t Pursue Chemotherapy For Late Son, Zen

LNick Cannon has opened up about his decision to not pursue chemotherapy for his late son Zen.

Earlier this month, the 41-year-old talk show host announced that his five-month-old son, whom he shared with Alyssa Scott, had passed away following a battle with brain cancer.

While speaking to People, he opened up about his decision not to seek chemotherapy for the infant.

“We were having quality-of-life conversations,” he explained. “We could have had that existence where he would’ve had to live in the hospital, hooked up to machines, for the rest of the time. From someone who’s had to deal with chemotherapy before, I know that pain. To see that happen to a two-month-old, I didn’t want that. I didn’t want him to suffer.”

Nick Cannon has experience with chemotherapy as he’s undergone the treatment himself for the autoimmune disease lupus.

Zen was diagnosed with high-grade glioma, a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer when he was two months old. Doctors operated on the boy and placed a shunt in his skull to allow excess fluid to drain and alleviate pressure, but his tumors continued to grow.

That was when Cannon and Scott began having conversations about possible treatments and what was best for Zen’s quality of life.

“We started asking, ‘Is there a way to prevent this? If not, how long do we have?'” recalled Nick Cannon. “The conversations quickly turned to, ‘How can we give him the best life for the time that he does have?’ It could be weeks, could be months, it could be years.”

Dave East Announces The Hoffa Album Card NFT

Hip Hop recording artist Dave East recently announced the release of an NFT series. The HOFFA Collection is inspired by the Harlemite’s Hoffa album with producer Harry Fraud.

Previously, Dave East presented college basketball cards as non-fungible tokens. He is now releasing The HOFFA Album Card as the final NFT in the collection.

A description of The HOFFA Album Card reads:

While the NFT perpetually rotates, “Questions”, a previously unreleased song recorded by East and Harry Fraud plays along with it. You can hear the first 30 seconds of the NFT song here, but in order to listen to the entire song, fans of East and Fraud have to buy the $20.00 NFT before 5:00 pm on December 19th. After that, the NFT will no longer be available to purchase outside of individuals who want to resell the NFT through a secondary market like Open Sea or a similar platform. As it stands today, East and Fraud have no plans on releasing the song in any other formats. The new song “Questions” will be delivered to fans on Tuesday, 12-21-21 at 5 pm est.

Dave East and Harry Fraud dropped Hoffa on July 30. The 14-track project features G. Herbo, Benny The Butcher, Jim Jones, French Montana, Curren$y, and other acts. Plus, Fabolous, Maino, Nelly, and Dapper Dan appeared as a cameo in the “Just Another Rapper” music video.

“Harry and I talked about finding new ways to engage and connect with our fans,” states Dave East. “With all the buzz around NFTs, we decided that this was a perfect opportunity for us to test out this market while creating a unique product, something special that is not available every day.”

The Wu-Tang: An American Saga actor continued, “At the same time, we made the NFT affordable at $20.00 so ALL of our fans have the opportunity to purchase it and consume music in a new way. A lot of people have heard of NFTs, but don’t know what they are, just that they are very expensive. That was me before I started this process.”

Cardi B’s “Up” Leads Pandora’s 2021 Top Thumb Hundred Year-End Chart

After Cardi B dropped “Up” in February, the song eventually climbed to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Cardi’s latest solo single became the rapper’s record-extending and record-setting fifth Number One.

Apparently, a lot of Pandora users enjoyed listening to “Up” on the platform. The company revealed its Top Thumb Hundred of 2021 rankings, and Cardi sits at the pinnacle of the list.

“Up” was able to beat out Silk Sonic’s “Leave the Door Open” (#2), Adele’s “Easy On Me” (#3), Walker Hayes’s “Fancy Like” (#4), and Moneybagg Yo’s “Time Today” (#5). Songs by Saweetie, Drake, Megan Thee Stallion, The Kid LAROI, and Justin Bieber made the Top 10 too.

This is the second year in a row Cardi B scored the most-thumped song on Pandora. In 2020, the internet-breaking “WAP” collaboration featuring Megan The Stallion led the Top Thumb Hundred.

Two years ago, Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” secured the #1 position on Pandora’s Top Thumb Hundred. Cardi B just missed the pole position in 2018 when “I Like It” with Bad Bunny and J Balvin came in behind “God’s Plan” by Drake.

“Up” spent one week at #1 and a total of twenty weeks on the Hot 100 chart. Its official music video has amassed more than 200 million views and 3.3 million likes on YouTube.

Cardi B’s “Up” won Favorite Hip-Hop Song at the 2021 American Music Awards which the Bronx-bred rapstress also hosted. The track earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Performance as well.

Lil Baby Gets Icy Birthday Bling from Gunna!

The streets are watching and praising Lil Baby’s efforts. Back on December 3, the Atlanta native turned 27. It turns out that, he would go on to get icy birthday bling from Gunna.

First off, the relationship between the “Drip Too Hard” collaborators is strong. It surpasses the bond of a working relationship and is transforming into that of a familial one. They are bros. So now, it’s only right that Wunna celebrates the “Yes, Indeed” rapper’s C-day.

In fact, any birthday is definitely a blessing. That calls for celebration. Along with his Hip-Hop homie, the “My Turn” MC does just that. Yes, there is footage.

Keep in mind, that often, the internet is late. Earlier this week, on Tuesday (Dec. 13), via an IG post, the “Real As It Gets Rapper” shows off his birthday bling. The thoughtful gift grabs all the attention.

Truly, it is apparent that the “Ski” spitter invested lots of time on the gift. Both the names Loyal and Jason are intricately incorporated into the custom necklace. Of course, these being the names of The Kidd’s children.

“This the oneeee,” boasts an appreciative Baby, “@gunna come trimmmmmm.”

Also, it may be noted that the chain resembles one of Ye’s. As it goes, inspiration is the highest form of human flattery. Happy Birthday, Lil Baby! Stay blessed and may you keep them four pockets full!

Mariah Carey Declines A “Verzuz” With Beyoncé: “I’d Be Disrespecting Myself”

Mariah Carey is one of the highest-selling artists of all time with an impressive collection of awards and accolades.

Recently the five-time Grammy Award-winning chanteuse was mentioned by legendary record executive L. A Reid as an artist he would like to see featured in a “Verzuz” clash. His opponent of choice was none other than the most awarded and most nominated woman artist in Grammy history, Beyoncé.

During an interview with E! Online, Mariah Carey revealed that while she loves Beyoncé for her achievements inside and outside of the music industry, a “Verzuz” is not on the cards.

The host asked the songstress if she would consider Reid’s request and who would be victorious if the two singers were to go head-to-head. Mariah had no time for the question, interrupting the host before she could complete the question.

“Oh stop,” she said while rolling her eyes. “I love Beyoncé and I admire her so much as a performer for what she’s done for the world and everything else.” Mariah added, “I ain’t answering that question. I’d be disrespecting myself and I’m not going to do that, because it’s Christmas time.”

Carey, who was on the show to promote her new holiday Mariah Menu collaboration with McDonald’s, steered the conversation to a friendlier topic – Christmas!

While she pointed out she has 15 non-festive albums, there is a reason she is coined the “Queen of Christmas.”

“I know people are like, ‘Ah yeah, look at her making checks,’ like, whatever, Scrooges. I don’t care what you say. Honestly this is the truth. I do love the holidays.”

Earlier this month, Mariah Carey celebrated the success of her classic holiday song, “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”

“I’m freaking out!!!! 1 billion!!! ❄️🎁🎄💝 These numbers are incredible, but the love I have for the #lambily is unquantifiable. Eternally grateful and blessed ❤️❤️❤️”

Big Sean Talks His Acting Debut & Plans to Write A Movie

Big Sean admitted he was touched by the recent deaths of beloved figures such as Nipsey Hussle, Chadwick Boseman, and Virgil Abloh and has a new desire to push himself out of his comfort zone.

“We’ve been losing a lot of close people,” he said during a recent interview with TVLine. “We’ve been losing a lot of visionaries, a lot of peers, a lot of artists. You really realize how valuable your time is, so I’ve been like, ‘Man, I have to do all these things I’ve always wanted to do. II want to write a book. I want to musically explore other thing.” He added, “I want to take it to different levels. I want to write movies. Time is so not guaranteed. You just have to do it.”

The “Bounce back” rapper has been flexing his acting chops in Season 2 of the Lena Waithe comedy Twenties. The second installment of the show ended on Wednesday (Dec. 15) and Big Sean is keen to make a return as the anti-social media guy, Tristan. “I would love to return,” he said. “I would love to see how the story unfolds.”

Big Sean Talks His Role As “Tristan”

Elsewhere during the discussion, Big Sean talked about playing a live-action fictional character for the first time.

“It’s a different experience, for sure,” the “Mercy” hitmaker said. “A lot of doing it over and over again and hoping that they use the right take. There’s a lot of things you’re thinking about like, ‘Dang, I really like how I did it this way, and they might not use it because it [doesn’t] fit the director’s vision.’ It’s a different game than music, but a lot of similarities, since you have to focus and apply yourself, and the product turns out the way it does.”

Meanwhile, a preview clip of Big Sean’s upcoming Drink Champs appearance has emerged online. In the snippet, Big Sean shared his feelings on Kanye West following that infamous interview.

“I love Kanye, bro,” he told N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN. “I love him for the opportunity he gave me and all these things. But I thought what he said was some b#### ass s###.”

Question Is Making a Name for Himself as a Top Asian Artist

The music industry in the U.S has always been a close-knit space, difficult for any outsider to penetrate. Still, many talents have scaled their careers irrespective of their origin, race, and language. Musician Question is one example. Being Filipino, he has been storming the hip-hop scene in North America for quite a few years now. The young artist is known for his two hit singles, “White Maserati” and “Alone,” which have been trending tracks on various digital platforms.

The story of Question begins in Toronto, Canada, where he grew up. From a very young age, Question was passionate about music. He started composing his own songs in 2007 in the basement of his parents’ house. Back then, his only companion was his younger brother. He loved creating music that gave him a sense of fulfillment about his natural skills. Gradually, he started chasing his passion as a career.

Now, after more than a decade of honing his craft, Question has two popular songs to his name that have earned over 100K views on YouTube and Spotify. His single titled “White Maserati” has blown up the internet for its unique mix of hip hop and R&B. Within a couple of weeks of its release, Question has got loads of positive reviews on his skills from music enthusiasts across the world. In this song, Question serenades his ex-girlfriend in perfectly auto-tuned melodies that are drenched in love and passion. It has a heavy bassline that perfectly complements the flowing lyrics to make anyone fall in love.

His next release, “Alone,” is another soul-soothing melody that wonderfully blends notes of hip-hop with the harmony of R&B. The song reflects the pain of a heartbroken lover who is struggling to overcome his loneliness. The question has mesmerized the audience with his mastery over rhythm and lyrics that transport them to another world. This is where his success lies as an artist. The question has managed to connect personally with the audience, evoking deep emotions through music.

Question creates music because he loves to. The rhythm, lyrics, and sound feel like ecstasy to him. This is where his purpose for becoming a musician lies. He wants his listeners to feel the same ecstasy he feels while creating the music. For Question, music is a feel-good factor that should uplift the listener’s mood at any time. He believes in delivering quality, original music. Over the years, Question has remained true to his craft and has been focused on honing it. This is evident from the whopping number of followers he has earned globally, mainly from Asia, Europe, and North America.

His road to success was not an easy one. As an Asian, Question initially struggled to navigate the music industry. He didn’t feel accepted at the beginning of his career, but that would not deter his spirit from accomplishing his goals. With time, Question realized that original talent always finds a place in the industry. Now he feels that the industry has become more tolerant and welcoming to the talent of different origins. As a Filipino artist, the issues he faced are no longer a hurdle to scale his career.

Currently, Question is busy rolling out some promising projects. He is also looking forward to enthralling audiences from different parts of the world by going on tour. Question hopes to live the dream of performing in front of a live audience someday.
