Lizzo Thanks Cardi B & Chlöe Bailey For Defending Her Against Cyberbullies

Lizzo should be on a personal high at the moment as her new song “Rumors” featuring Cardi B continues to see success on various music charts. However, the Grammy-winning vocalist is now dealing with being body-shamed by some people online.

Over the weekend, Lizzo broke down in tears in a video posted on social media as she talked about being cyberbullied about her weight and appearance. Cardi B came to the defense of her “Rumors” collaborator against the digital haters.

“When you stand up for yourself they claim [you’re] problematic & sensitive. When you don’t they tear you apart until you crying like this. Whether you [are] skinny, big, plastic, they going to always try to put their insecurities on you. Remember these are nerds looking at the popular table,” posted Cardi B on Sunday. That tweet collected over 80,000 likes.

Cardi later added, “‘Rumors’ is doing great. Stop trying to say the song is flopping to dismiss a [woman’s] emotions on bullying or acting like they need sympathy. The song is top 10 on all platforms. Body shaming and [calling] her mammy is mean & racist as f###.”

Lizzo then also took to Twitter to show appreciation for Cardi B’s public support. The Cuz I Love You album creator tweeted, “Thank you @iamcardib — you’re such a champion for all people. Love you so much ❤️.”

In addition, Lizzo got the backing of singer/actress Chlöe Bailey. The Grown-ish star tweeted, “I’m so proud of you @lizzo. People are gonna talk, but you have power in your voice. Thank you for inspiring me ❤️🦋.”

Lizzo quote-tweeted Chlöe Bailey’s kind words and added, “😘Thank uuu. U know how it is out here but f### the haters. We Rise.” It appears Lizzo has now moved on from the negativity by tweeting a 4-second clip of herself laughing.

The “Rumors” is still currently the top trending music video on YouTube. Those visuals have collected over 10 million views since the song’s release on August 13. “Rumors” has also peaked in the Top 10 on the U.S. iTunes chart, U.S. Spotify Top 200 daily chart, and Apple Music Top 100: USA daily chart.

Chance The Rapper Talks Kanye West Not Being A Fan Of His Grammy Line On “Ultralight Beam”

While Chance The Rapper had gained the attention of many Hip Hop followers with the 10 Day, Acid Rap, and Surf projects, it was Chance’s verse on Kanye West’s “Ultralight Beam” that caught the ear of many mainstream music lovers.

“I made ‘Sunday Candy’ – I’m never going to hell. I met Kanye West, I’m never going to fail. He said, ‘Let’s do a good-ass job with Chance 3.’ I hear you gotta sell it to snatch the Grammy,” rapped Chance on The Life of Pablo opening track.

Apparently, Kanye West was not a fan of those specific bars. Chance The Rapper spoke to grammy.com about the five-year anniversary of the Chicago native’s Coloring Book mixtape. He also discussed his “Ultralight Beam” verse and West’s feedback.

“I rapped on Kanye’s s### right before it came out that I was working on these three Grammys, and I was like, ‘If I keep rapping like that, and just saying s###’s gonna happen, that’s just gonna happen.’ And it started happening,” said Chance The Rapper.

The 28-year-old entertainer added, “Kanye didn’t want me to say that [line] on that song. And I had to go back and forth with him about keeping my line on there. That whole experience of working on [Pablo] was very transformative for a lot of people around me, because I was 40% of the way done with Coloring Book.”

Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo was released in February 2016. Chance The Rapper’s Coloring Book arrived three months later in May 2016. Additionally, West showed up on Coloring Book‘s opener “All We Got” along with the Chicago Children’s Choir.

Many Hip Hop listeners view The Life of Pablo and Coloring Book as companion pieces because Chance The Rapper was heavily involved in the creation of the two projects. Plus, both bodies of work have elements of Gospel music incorporated into the projects’ sound.

“I do remember being sad in the first couple of nights because I was receiving some negative tweets around it. There were a lot of people saying, ‘Oh my god, it’s a f###### Gospel album,'” admitted Chance The Rapper about the initial reactions to Coloring Book. “That was the main conversation around it, like, ‘This dude tricked us and made a Gospel project.’ That wasn’t really my intention. I never wanted to make a Gospel album.”

The 3-time Grammy winner continued, “I like all my projects to talk about some realistic stuff, whatever I’m going through at the moment. Within 24 or 48 hours—I don’t remember what it was or if it started receiving positive press, or if I started going outside and seeing actual people tell me how they felt about the project, but I remember at a certain point, just getting past that and feeling loved and well-received. A lot of people wrote about how it brought them back to church on Sunday when they were kids, or brought them closer to Jesus or their faith. And I just remember feeling like, ‘Damn.'”

The Rap Game UK is Back With New Talent!

The latest season of The Rap Game UK is underway and has gotten off to a great start! Based on the US reality show of the same name, the UK version is now in its third season. The rappers competing in the UK contest are all adult artists unlike its US counterpart, fronted by Jermaine Dupri.

The series is hosted by UK artists DJ Target and rappers Krept and Konan. Each week, six emcees from across the UK battle it out to win a £25,000 prize. Also on hand for the winner is a mentoring scheme. The program is designed to help them to create, launch and promote new music once the competition has ended.

Like the US show, the unsigned rappers take part in a series of weekly challenges. Each trial is designed to test whether they have what it takes to break into the music industry.

Each week one unlucky rapper is sent home from the show’s luxury Manchester apartments where the contestants are staying for the duration of their time on the show.

Hosts DJ Target, Krept, and Konan also double up as judges in the talent contest. Each episode features guests from the UK rap scene to mentor the hopefuls.

Hoping to make it to the end of the competition and the £25k prize are contenders Kay Rico, Saidu, Pocaa, Oakzy B, BrynBP, and KayDizzy. Manchester rapper Meduulla makes an introduction to the show midway through the series.
Standout moments from the series so far include a hairpiece brought out mid-battle in an all-female clash and a rapper called out for spitting in an American accent, unacceptable in 2021!

The show is currently halfway through this first series giving you plenty of time to binge-watch the first few episodes to catch up! Out now on BBC iPlayer.

Lizzo Breaks Down Over Trolls Calling Her “Mammy”; Cardi B Rushes To Her Defense

Lizzo should be on top of the world this weekend because she has a hit record with Cardi B titled “Rumors.”

But instead of celebrating “Rumors” chart success thus far, Lizzo broke down in tears, due to trolls’ incessant body shaming of her.

Cardi and Lizzo dropped the video for “Rumors” on Friday, and the visual showcases lots of skin from both of the rap stars.

Lizzo has been subjected to insults that go beyond cruel ever since the video dropped.

Earlier today, Lizzo hopped on IG live to address the issue and broke down in tears over the hateful comments.

Some accused Lizzo of putting on a minstrel show, and others compared her to the character “Mammy” from the movie “Gone With The Wind” (Hattie McDaniel was actually the first black woman to win an Oscar for the role).

“For the most part, it doesn’t hurt my feelings. I don’t care,” Lizzo said through her tears. I just think when I’m working this hard my tolerance gets lower. My patience is lower, I am more sensitive, and it gets to me.”

The rapper also addressed the issue on Twitter stating “Loving yourself in a world that don’t love u back takes an incredible amount of self awareness & a b####### detector that can see through ass backwards societal standards…if u managed to love yourself today I’m proud of u. If u haven’t, I’m still proud of u. This s#### hard.”

Lizzo, who vowed to do a better job at ignoring her haters on social media and only focusing on the positive, received some support from her “Rumors” collaborator, Cardi B.

“Rumors is doing great. Stop trying to say the song is flopping to dismiss a woman emotions on bullying or acting like they need sympathy,” Cardi B snapped. “The song is top 10 on all platforms. Body shaming and callin her mammy is mean & racist as f###.”

Cardi B called out Twitter’s CEO Jack Dorsey, and told him he needed to do a better job of policing the hateful comments on his platform.

Not only was she defending Lizzo, but she was also referring to a troll who kept making songs threatening to rape her daughter Kulture.

“Get the f### of my page .You literally have a song pin up on your page about raping my daughter.Ya do this every week until ya get deleted,” Cardi told the troll. “Demented mental illness sick weirdos @jack ya need to start not only suspending but blocking these sickos IP adress (sic).”

Cardi B $5 Million Battle Over Back Tattoo – Settlement Talks BACK ON

Rap star Cardi B is hoping to come out on top of another lawsuit that has been dogging her for years, later this month.

Cardi B has been fighting a man named Kevin Michael Brophy Jr., whom she claims has been attempting to extort her out of $5 million – over a tattoo.

Brophy claims the rap superstar stole his distinctive back tattoo and used it on the cover of her mixtape “Gangsta B#### Music Vol. 1” without the proper permission.

Cardi hired a graphic designer named Timm Gooden to create the cover for “Gangsta B#### Music Vol. 1” for $50. But her management wasn’t happy with the results, so he Googled the words “back tattoo” and came across Brophy’s back tattoo of a snake and a tiger.

Brophy says the cover art, which features Cardi drinking a 40 ounce of malt liquor while receiving oral sex, helped launch her career, so he sued her in October of 2017.

Brophy says the cover art ruined his life, humiliated him, and caused him to suffer mental anguish due to the attention Cardi has received since her career skyrocketed into the stratosphere.

He is asking for a cut of everything Cardi has earned since the release of “Gangsta B#### Music, Vol. 1.” The Bronx beauty said the lawsuit was nothing but a money grab.

“You [Brophy] haven’t, like, gone to no damn psychiatrist. How is this affecting your life? I want to know how is your client’s live [sic] is being affected,” Cardi snapped during a deposition. “How? It’s ridiculous. It’s wasting my time. It’s wasting my money. Like, I could really be with my kid right now. Like, I’m really upset because I really have to be with my kid…All because of some bulls##t, trying to get money, and then $5,000,000. Are you f##king kidding me?”

Cardi attempted to have the case tossed, saying the artwork for “Gangsta B#### Music, Vol. 1” fell under fair use laws, but the judge presiding over the case disagreed and rejected Cardi’s motion to dismiss the lawsuit.

Cardi and Brophy have tried to resolve the case before. They attempted to come to a settlement in August of 2020, and once again in March of 2021. However, neither party could reach an agreement.

The third round of settlement talks between Cardi B and Kevin Michael Brophy Jr. will take place on August 20 at 1:30 PM in Los Angeles.

Jay-Z Has Left New York Permanently To Live In Los Angeles

Rap mogul Jay-Z is one of the most famous celebrities New York has ever produced.

The Brooklyn native is well known for the love he has for his borough and even hit big with Alicia Keys on the duet “Empire State of Mind,” an ode to the city, taken from his classic album The Blueprint 3.

However, Jay is no longer a resident of the “Empire State” aka New York.

Jay-Z is an official resident of California. He has no plans of moving from the state, where he resides with his superstar wife Beyonce and their three children, Blue Ivy, Sir, and Rumi.

“I intend to keep my primary residence in Los Angeles, California, and do not intend to move my primary residence to another state. I pay California state taxes. In light of these facts, I consider myself to be domiciled in Los Angeles, California,” Jay-Z confirmed.

Jay-Z, born Sean Carter, made the declaration in his ongoing lawsuit with photographer Jonathan Mannion.

Mannion, who shot the cover for Jay-Z’s epic 1996 debut album Reasonable Doubt, is being sued by the rap star for using his name image, and likeness without permission.

Jay-Z says he asked Mannion to stop selling his image on prints, shirts turntable mats, and other merchandise, but the photographer demanded tens of millions of dollars to stop.

Mannion claims that the First Amendment protects his rights to sell the photography since he owns the copyrights to the images.

As for his living situation, Jay-Z still maintains a footprint in the state of New York.

In September of 2017, Jay-Z and Beyonce dropped a whopping $26 million on a seven-bedroom seven and a half bathroom home in East Hampton, New York.

The same year, the couple bought a mansion in Bel Air, California for an astounding $88 million. The Bel-Air estate is Jay-Z’s primary residence.

They also own a mansion in New Orleans, which recently caught on fire, and a 25,000 square-foot mansion in Houston.

Jay-Z also owns the largest cannabis company in the state he now calls home, with the launch of The Parent Company, which owns his cannabis brand, Monogram.

In May of 2021, The Parent Company revealed they were ramping up to produce 900,000 pounds of “high-quality, low-cost, California-grown cannabis” for use across the company’s portfolio of products.

And his Roc Nation business has offices in Los Angeles, New York, and London.

Baby Jungle Taps Slimelife Shawty In “Do It Some Mo”

Rising Atlanta rapper (by way of Macon) Baby Jungle has a new hit on his hands with “Do It Some Mo,” featuring fellow ATL rapper Slimelife Shawty, who is a part of Lil Durk’s camp.

Produced by Florida hitmaker CorMill (Quando Rondo, Ty Dolla $ign), the certified
banger finds the duo spitting lyrically raw bars about hood politics and street codes over a bass-heavy and piano-laced track. The cinematic visual, directed by Cinema Sultan and Ray, reflects a “no new friends” loyalty that’s both menacing and motivating.

“Do It Some Mo” builds on the momentum of Baby Jungle’s previously released singles and collabs including “Jungle Fever,” “The Purge” featuring Lil Keed and “4 Real.” The Guap Records artist continues to make it known through his music that he plans on being king of the hip hop jungle.

Polo G In Shock Over Shooting Death Of Best Friend BMoney 1300

Another weekend of violence in Chicago has claimed the life of a close associate of rapper Polo G.

The rap star’s childhood friend BMoney 1300 was shot and killed.

According to reports, B Money had relocated to Los Angeles to avoid the pitfalls of street life in the Windy City.

He returned home to attend an event, but he was tragically gunned down during his brief time in the city.

BMoney 1300’s murder had a big impact on Polo G.

He was frequently on stage alongside Polo G acting as a hype man, and traveled around the world with the rapper.

Polo G eulogized his childhood friend in a post on social media.

“My Lil Brotha Man on Gucci I can’t see myself doin this s### w out you broski Ik I’ll neva meet a n#### like u again one of the realest n##### I eva met in my life I always made sure I reminded u of that you was,” Polo G somberly said.

440 Florida Students Sent Home From School After The First Day And 3 Teachers Dead In 24 hours COVID-19

Three Broward County, Florida educators have died within about 24 hours of each other from complications related to Covid-19. The deaths come just a week before classes are due to begin in Broward County, one of the country’s largest school districts.

Local educations officials report that two teachers and a teaching assistant, all women, have died from Covid-19 related complications. All the deaths occurred between Monday night and Wednesday morning, the president of Broward Teachers Union, Anna Fusco, told CNN. According to Fusco, all three of the educators were unvaccinated.

Broward County School Board was aware of several deaths. Chair Rosalind Good told CNN “We got information on Tuesday that was reported to us. I know of three of those teachers that passed away from Covid in Broward County. I was also told that they were unvaccinated.”

Coronavirus cases are experiencing a surge in Florida and across the country resulting from low vaccination rates and the Delta variant. A worrying 138 Broward County Public Schools employees tested positive for Covid-19 since August 1.

Osgood is concerned. “You need to get vaccinated. This disease will kill you or leave with you a lifelong complication that not only impacts you but also impacts your family and the people that you love and care about.”

The school district has directed funds to incentivize staff to get vaccinated Osgood said.

Last month, Gov. Ron DeSantis issued an executive order. The order requires the state’s health and education departments to make rules giving parents, not schools, the power to choose whether their children wear masks.

Broward County school district voted to maintain the mask mandate approved late last month in direct opposition to Gov. DeSantis’s executive order. The order is the subject of several lawsuits

Osgood told CNN: “The eight of us on our board are adamant that we cannot have people in schools without masks because we are living backlash of people dying with Covid.”

She continued “You can’t take a risk with peoples’ lives. We feel strongly that the lives of our students and staff are invaluable,” She says: “We’re not willing to play Russian roulette with their lives or take a risk of losing people because we have people in schools without masks.”

Palm Beach County School District has asked 440 students to quarantine just 2 days into the school year. The request comes after 51 students and faculty confirmed cases of Covid-19.

Though students and staff in the district are required to wear masks Interim School District Superintendent Michael Burke said in an interview with MSNBC that 5,700 Palm Beach students have opted out as per DeSantis’s executive order.

Burkes places the blame on the opt-out rule for the spike in cases. “The governor has got to take responsibility for establishing the ground rules we’re operating under,” Burke said. “This ability for families to opt-out is leading to more cases, which will ultimately send more kids home and deprive them of that traditional classroom experience. I think if we really are committed to keeping kids in school, we should reassess the situation.”

Happy Birthday, Nipsey Hussle! Journalist Rob Kenner Offers Update On Nip’s Legacy

It has not been long since Nipsey Hussle died, but during that time, we saw an incredibly unique person that had the ability to reach the hood as well as the upper echelons of urban society. His unique personality and path made him a lightning rod for change. Sadly, he was taken from us all in 2019, even though we have a bevy of albums, mixtapes, interviews, and other precious assets. One of those gems is the new book by Rob Kenner, a veteran journalist that is now a successful author. “The Marathon Don’t Stop: The Life and Times of Nipsey Hussle” is the first in-depth biography of Hussle Tha Great, as a blossoming mogul, activist, and motivationalist without peer. Kenner looks at the life and tragic death only a staple of the culture can – with respect, honor, and reverence. This interview with Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur shows why Kenner is the right person for the job. A white guy that gets it – he even includes all the subtle, oft-missed nuances of South Central life. Ermias Joseph Asghedom was a one-of-one, deserving of this book that pays homage to a life worth analyzing.

As we celebrate his life and legacy, Rob Kenner offers a glimpse into the newest developments and setbacks in the ongoing saga of one Nipsey Hussle.

Ermias Joseph Asghedom would have, could have, and should have celebrated his 36th birthday today. Despite Nipsey Hussle’s untimely transition from the physical realm, his family, friends, and fans are keeping his legacy alive and proving that ‘The Marathon Continues’ is more than a hashtag or a brand—it’s a mantra and a movement. Just last night, two of Nip’s day ones, J Stone and Killa Twan, performed a tribute in his honor at the Regent in L.A. Today Hussle’s homie Cobby Supreme drops his album, ‘Street Legend.’

Meanwhile The Marathon Clothing’s latest collab with Puma, ‘Miami Story,’ has  damn near sold out within days, and Nip’s posthumous collab with Jay Z, “What it Feels Like,” was a highlight of the award-winning film ‘Judas and the Black Messiah.’ And just last week, Hussle’s business partner David A. Gross went public with his plan to purchase the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Mall with a community crowdsourcing fund called Own Our Own which would allow South L.A. residents to invest in the largest asset in Los Angeles’ last Black neighborhood for as little as $1000. Their bid has not been accepted, and funny business continues behind the scenes but as Hussle always said at times like these, “it’s a speed bump, not a brick wall.”

Keep it going. The Marathon Don’t Stop.

Eminem’s Child Stevie Implies Rapper Never Told Them They Were Adopted

Eminem’s child Stevie took to TikTok to share with the world that the rap god lied about being her father. In their minds, he robbed them of the last moments with their biological father.

Stevie, 19, recently shared to the world that they are considered non-binary, a term that recognizes that someone’s gender identity isn’t exclusively male or female.

In the new TikTok video she posts a video about how frustrating it was for her to learn the truth about her birth father, a man named Eric Hartter who died in 2020.

In the video, they are mouthing the words to an experience where others told them that they were adopted.

“hes not your real dad,” the first quote reads. “youre adopted.”

They then mouthed, “Youre my real dad right? am i adopted [sic]?’

They then lip sync’s as if they’s presumed father, Eminem said, “I am your real dad.”

After this, a slide reads, “gets sent an article of biological dad’s death and shows grandma.” Their grandmother tells them, “im sorry ‘they’ wouldn’t tell you about him.”

The “they” in this case refers to Slim Shady and his ex-wife Kim Scott. He legally adopted Stevie in 2005. That year is significant as the couple got back together, married (by 2006) and before New Year’s Eve was divorced again.

Stevie has experienced a lot of trauma lately. Just a day ago,

AllHipHop.com reported that their mother Kim may attempt to take her life by suicide on July 30, a day after Stevie’s grandmother, Kathleen Sluck, was buried.

Stevie, who used to be addressed as Whitney, is healing. While they are disappointed in their parents (like many teenagers are), they had a grandmother that loved and adored them. In Sluck’s obituary, they were addressed by the new name.

‘Kathleen was a exceptional mom to her two daughters; Kim and Dawn; and was overjoyed to become a grandmother to her grandchildren; Alaina, Adam, Hailie, Stevie, P.J., and Parker,” the obituary for Kathleen Sluck read.

Eminem and Kim have children: Haille Jade, 25, who is indeed biologically related to the chart-topper, and Stevie, who recently discovered that their father was a different man.

He has not commented on Sluck’s death, Scott’s suicide attempt, Stevie’s gender-fluidity announcement, or their sharing about his decision to say that he is their father.

Shout out to him for accepting her wholly as his child.

Cassidy Returns Fire At Tory Lanez With Brand New Diss Track “Plagiarism”

The beef between Cassidy and Tory Lanez shows no signs of slowing down.

Earlier today (August 15) Cassidy dropped a second diss record aimed at the Canadian rapper titled “Plagiarism.”

The artwork for the single features a cartoon version of a bruised, battered, and balding Tory Lanez, who appears to be dazed and confused, presumably after attempting to battle Cassidy.

The cold war between the two rappers heated up once again in July, after Tory Lanez was accused of stealing bars from Cassidy during a freestyle on Funkmaster Flex’s show on Hot 97.

Cassidy had enough because it was the second time Tory stole some of his lines during an appearance on the radio station. Tory was also accused of the same thing in 2017.

The bar theft caused Cassidy to post a video montage of his rhymes, next to the lines Tory Lanez was accused of stealing.

Shortly afterward, Cassidy dropped his first diss track aimed at Tory Lanez titled “Perjury” for stealing his lines.

Tory Lanez initially replied with what looked to be an apology, claiming Cassidy was one of his influences.

“The first freestyle I shouted ya name out because you did inspire me. The second one I went on YOUR beat. S### is sad how you old n##### be mad at the young n##### for not showing love then when we do…we get responses like this,” Tory tweeted.

However, Tory Lanez shot back with a well-rounded diss calling out Cassidy titled  “When Its Dark (E-NFT) 8-10-21′ Freestyle.”

So far, Tory Lanez has yet to reply to Cassidy’s latest diss track. But fans are buzzing about Cass’ latest salvo.

Kay Franklin’s Journey To Superstardom

The world of the music industry is one of the toughest markets in the entertainment business, especially with the rise of modern technology. Aspiring musicians can either experience overnight success or the bitter taste of shame and humiliation from the public. Kay Franklin, a rising RnB artist, took the traditional lane instead, using just his sheer will and passion to build a career for himself.

Singer and songwriter Kay Franklins is a cross between sultry R&B and liberation. The West Los Angeles native and grandson of the illustrious John Barnes, who produced for Michael Jackson, Chaka Khan, Quincy Jones. Has spent more than half his life producing and writing records, for both himself and other artists. From Hip-hop to R&B, Trap to Pop, with his most notable penning on, “Rocket Science” for Joyce Wrice, and the recently released “4 The Low” for Problem and Grammy-nominated Wiz Khalifa. Kay considers working with these two incredible artists as the biggest achievement of his career thus far. With 60k monthly organic listeners, this melodic crooner gives an open invitation to the world of Bae Franklin, and it feels like 90’s R&B.

“Rocket Science” has elements of hip-hop, jazz, and pop, which is what propelled Kay Franklin to fame during his earlier days. This collaboration with Joyce Wrice, a singer from Southern California, became a hit on different major music platforms at the time of its release. Since then, Kay has stuck to this type of music, which he considers as a trip down memory lane with RnB music of the 90s.

Kay, since the beginning of his musical journey, wanted his music to speak for itself instead of him having to pitch his music. With his mindset, he was able to write and produce quality songs for himself and for other artists as well. So far, he has over 50,000 monthly listeners on the internet, and he promises to consistently dish out fresh, quality music.

While making a career in music, Kay is also building a strong presence in social media, as he now has over 50,000 Instagram followers. He provides updates about his music through this platform, engaging with his fans and supporters. Kay’s goal for 2021 is to release at least two Extended Plays and as well as grow his fan base even more.

To keep himself inspired and motivated, Kay always spares time for his daughter, who he considers his reason for moving forward. He once signed what he called a bad contract that made him almost give up music for good. However, Kay wanted to give the best life possible to his daughter, so he chose to pick himself up and continue the fight.

Kay is not only hard-working and passionate, but he is also a confessed perfectionist, which sometimes makes him think too much about things. The feedback his music is getting, though, inspired him to just enjoy and trust the process. Kay promises more quality music for his supporters as he continues his journey to becoming a household name in RnB music.

Nicki Minaj’s Husband’s Rape Victim Was Offered Witness Protection Over Harassment

Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty almost drove his rape victim into witness protection, according to shocking new allegations.

Yesterday, news broke that Petty’s victim Jennifer Hough was suing Nicki Minaj and her husband for emotional distress, sexual assault, sexual harassment emotional distress, and witness intimidation.

She claims the superstar rapper and her husband have been harassing her in an attempt to get him off the sex offenders registry.

Kenneth Petty’s Rape Case

Kenneth Petty raped Jennifer Hough on September 16, 1994, after he encountered her at a bus stop when she was 16-years-old.

Hough says Petty put a knife to her back and took her to a house around the corner where he raped her at knifepoint.

Hough claimed when Petty was finished his sexual assault, he stood in the mirror and beat on his chest yelling “I am the man, I am the man” repeatedly.

After managing to escape, Hough said she ran 20 blocks to John Adams High School, and she reported what happened to security guards.

Police arrived at the school and took Hough to the house where she was raped by Petty. They arrested him on the spot since he was still there.

Petty took a plea deal and was convicted of one count of attempted rape in the first degree, assault in the second degree, unlawful imprisonment in the second degree, and criminal possession of a weapon. He served four years in prison for the rape.

Hough claims rumors started circulating around their Jamaica, Queens neighborhood that something would happen to her because she did not drop the charges filed against Kenneth Petty.

Hough claims she was constantly beaten and abused inside, and outside of her home because everyone wanted her to drop the charges against him, due to the constant threat of violence.

According to Hough, Petty, his family and friends have been harassing her ever since.

Hough says she ran away from home when she was 16 years old due to the threats of violence and the mental abuse from her parents at home over the ordeal.

After years of living on the streets and moving in and out of shelters, Hough moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2016 where she met her husband. They were married in 2018.

However, the harassment started again in November of 2018 when Nicki Minaj posted a picture of herself with her future husband.

Nicki also reply to a comment and stated “Kenny was 15, she was 16 and, in a relationship, but go awf Internet.”

Jennifer Hough claims Nicki continued to spread a false narrative that Petty was wrongly accused and that Hough had written a letter to recant her statements, which was false – she never once recanted.

Kenneth Petty Gets Arrested; Victims Says Harrasment Campaign Starts

In March of 2020, Kenneth Petty was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender in the state of California.

This is when Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty supposedly hatched a plan to get Hough to issue a statement retracting the rape charge.

Hough said she was contacted by a childhood friend named “Black.” They caught up, and during a conversation, Hough told Black she wished “it could all just go away forever.”

Black revealed he could make that happen.

Hough claims shortly afterward, Nicki called her directly. During the conversation, Hough told her “I need you to know woman to woman, that this happened,” but the rap star simply hung up on her.

Within days of the discussion, Hough and her family suffered an onslaught of harassing calls and unsolicited visits.

A few days later, Hough’s brother called her to share that two people had reached out to another family member, offering $500,000 if she would just recant the rape accusation.

Hough claims she was completely distraught because Black knew where she lived, and where her kids went to school.

In April of 2020, Hough revealed that Nicki Minaj sent an investigator to her house. She claims Nicki even hired a lawyer to give her legal advice about withdrawing her statements that Petty raped her.

Additionally, Black ultimately showed up at Hough’s house and during a chat in a car, Black said nothing would “happen” to her if she signed notarized papers he produced, along with $20,000 in cash.

Hough said she became so paranoid, that she moved again in August of 2020.

US Marshals Offer To Put Jennifer Hough Into Witness Protection Program

But three days after moving, The United States Marshal Service showed up at her husband’s job. Someone had tipped them off about the harassment and said they were concerned for Hough’s safety.

The USMS even attempted to put Hough into the witness protection program after she affirmed she was being harassed, and that Nicki had called her directly.

Shortly afterward, in October of 2020, Hough said her daughter was at an event in Atlanta. The teenager was approached by a man who asked if she knew “Zoo” aka Kenneth Petty.

As a result, Hough decided to relocate her family once again – this time to Florida. She was afraid her child would be killed or kidnapped due to the threats issued by Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty.

Jennifer Hough says she has not been able to work since May of 2020, due to the constant moving, harassment, paranoia, depression, and threats from Nicki Minaj, Kenneth Petty, and their associates.

Hough said she has been living in isolation, out of fear of retaliation.

Kenneth Petty recently struck a plea deal with prosecutors, after he was charged with failing to register as a sex offender in the state of California.

However, Petty may have more problems on the horizon.

Hough’s lawyer Tyrone Blackburn, who reps T.I.’s alleged victims, claims the harassment campaign allegedly launched by Kenneth Petty and Nicki Minaj violated the terms of the 1994 plea agreement he struck with prosecutors.

Meek Mill Wants Meeting With Louis Farrakhan And Wack 100 Agrees

Meek Mill is tired of Wack 100’s recent social media stints, where he is siding with Tekashi 6’9 and pissing off him and other solidified rappers in the game like 21 Savage and Jim Jones.

One way he sees that some common ground can be achieved is by having a mediator come in and negotiate a truce.

He called on the master negotiator, the Honorable Louis Farrakhan, the spiritual leader of the National of Islam and one of the most respected voices in Hip-Hop.

He took to social media and said, “Wack 100 tryna keep that manipulative stupid mindframe in tact to control and influence the younger gangs he need protection from and to use … let’s have a real gangsta meeting in private with farakhan and other strong black men and speak as men and stop embarrassing ourself!”

Wack responded with “we can do that.”

Meek is most likely talking about his interview on DJ Akademiks podcast with the rainbow-haired rapper from Brooklyn that snitched several of his associates, who were gang related.

“TEKASHI 6IX9INE Talks Robbing Rappers In 2018 to WACK 100 | Dj Akademiks Off The Road”

“TEKASHI 6IX9IXE Speaks On J PRINCE & SNOOP DOGG WACK 100 Checks Him | Dj Akademiks Off The Record”

“TEKASHI 6IX9INE Talks SHOTTI Son Instagram DM to WACK 100 | DJ AKADEMIKS Off The Records”

Or Wack’s arguments on Clubhouse with rappers, or talking about rappers that he should simply know better than to try.

It seems like Wack is going hard for his little bro … and the only way this sit down can happen is if Minister Farrakhan is involved.

This story is developing.
