Young Dolph’s Alleged Killers Learn New Start Date For Murder Trial

Shelby County Judge Jennifer Mitchell rescheduled the trial for two defendants in the Young Dolph murder case on Monday (June 3). According to multiple reports, Justin Johnson and Cornelius Smith will stand trial on September 23.

Johnson and Smith’s trial was previously scheduled to begin on Monday. Prosecutors and defense attorneys filed a joint motion seeking a delay on May 14. Both sides needed more time to litigate a technical issue requiring expert testimony. The court granted the motion.

Mia Jaye, Young Dolph’s longtime partner and the mother of his children, criticized the delay on social media. She explained her frustration with the legal system.

“It is truly hurtful that my family was robbed of a future,” she wrote in May. “My love’s life was taken… and to be left behind to see NO ONE be held accountable in the court of law for the act… is INSANE…. Our family has witnessed lenient bonds being granted, absurd requests approved for the defendants to get a [change of] venue motion, freedom, more time to build a stronger defense… witnessed songs be made, defendants enjoying life while on [house arrest]… all while our loved one is 6feet deep, waiting for JUSTICE to be served… talk about disheartening, unfair, triggering and hurtful.”

She continued, “For everyone who is like ‘trust the process’ our family has for 3 years, but the process & system is BROKEN (which is evident across ALL of Black America LBH… check the stats) and continuing to sit back allowing people to PLAY in your face isn’t trusting the process it is ignoring the process and giving room for any and everything wrong to happen, overlooking ACCOUNTABILITY.”

Young Dolph was shot and killed at a Memphis bakery in 2021. Four men were charged in connection to his murder.

Johnson, Smith and Hernandez Govan were hit with multiple charges, including first-degree murder. Govan allegedly ordered the hit on Young Dolph. Prosecutors accused Johnson and Smith of carrying out the attack.

Govan was released on bond. Johnson and Smith remain in jail. Johnson’s brother Jermarcus pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact in the case.

What Is Going On With Martin Lawrence?

Fans are buzzing with concern over Martin Lawrence’s health following some recent public appearances while promoting “Bad Boys: Ride or Die.” My first thought was, “Nothing could be going on with ol’ Marty Mar,” but let us unpack this.

Earlier this month, Martin and Will Smith teamed up for an interview with Extra to promote the movie. During the interview, fans noticed that Martin seemed to be speaking slower and slurring his words, which set off alarms.

Take a look at that:

The worries grew bigger after another promotional event for Bad Boys at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood last Thursday (May 30). It was a massive event. Will, wife Jada Pinkett Smith, and their kids Trey, Jaden, and Willow made a grand entrance on a double-decker bus. It seemed like Will was guiding Marty Mar by holding his hand, guiding him to the front of the bus. This added to the rumors that something was awry. What is going on with our dear brother?

“Did Will just help Martin walk? The way it looks Martin seems off,” one Instagram user commented. “Something is definitely happening with Martin 😮,” another user added. Some fans mentioned that Martin had recently lost his brother and also recall that he had a stroke a few years ago. In 1999, he suffered an apparent heat stroke and fell into a three-day coma. Could this be what is going on? We’ll just pray he’s ok as he rounds out 60 years of age.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die” is set to hit theaters on June 5.

Michael Rainey Jr. Admits He Wasn’t Blindsided By “Power Book II” Cancelation

The fourth season of Power Book II: Ghost will be the show’s last. The program centered around the Tariq St. Patrick character played by Michael Rainey Jr.

In March, Rainey claimed he found out about Power Book II: Ghost coming to an end at the same time as the public. The 23-year-old actor blamed the “higher-ups” for the decision in a viral video.

Michael Rainey Jr. stopped by The Breakfast Club to talk about the 50 Cent-produced crime drama. Host DJ Envy asked Rainey about allegedly getting blindsided about the cancelation.

“Nah, I was trolling. I took a page out of 50’s book with that one,” Rainey admitted. “I just knew it was going to stir the pot, I knew people were going to react to it.”

Additionally, the film/television veteran said, “They told me before everyone knew. But I just wanted to troll everybody, and I knew it was going to get a reaction out of people.”

Michael Rainey Jr. began playing Tariq St. Patrick on the original Power which ran for six seasons from 2014 to 2020. The spinoff, Power Book II: Ghost, debuted in September 2020.

In March 2024, Rainey stated, “Portraying Tariq St. Patrick in the Power Universe has been an amazing platform, opening doors for young actors like myself, and I’m truly grateful for that.”

He continued, “While the ending of Book II may feel abrupt and disappointing, I choose to view it as a stepping stone for many of us as we transition into the next chapter of our careers.”

The final season of Power Book II: Ghost premieres on Friday, June 7. In addition to Michael Rainey Jr., the cast features Mary J. Blige, Method Man, Gianni Paolo, Woody McClain, Larenz Tate, Michael Ealy and more.

Rainey’s filmography includes appearances in movies such as 2012’s LUV with Common and 2016’s Barbershop: The Next Cut with Ice Cube. He also had a recurring role on the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black.

Sukihana Explains Saying She Sold Her Soul To The Devil

Sukihana rose to prominence as a cast member of the Love & Hip Hop: Miami reality show. At one point, the Delaware-born entertainer complained about supposedly selling her soul for success in the music business.

“I won’t be doing this music stuff anymore. I started this because this was my dream,” Sukihana stated in a 2019 social media video. “And I wanted to make sure I could get me and my kids outta the hood.”

Suki also said, “I had signed a contract, and I didn’t know nothing about the business or this game out here. Just right now, I realized, I sold my soul to the devil.” She then broke down in tears.

Math Hoffa recently connected with Sukihana for an episode of his My Expert Opinion podcast. The conversation included Suki addressing her previous comments about record deals in the industry.

“I was in a street, hood contract,” she explained. “I was in a bad contract. That’s what I meant, but people take it out of proportion. I feel like if you do sign a contract and you don’t own a lot of your stuff, I feel like that’s selling out, that’s selling your sold.”

Sukihana has released numerous singles such as “No One” and “Casamigos (Pour It In My Cup)” with Afro B. The Wolf P#### mixtape creator also collaborated with acts like Saucy Santana, Sexyy Red, NLE Choppa and Juicy J.

“I’m done. I’m completely out,” Suki answered when asked if she was still under her original record contract. Additionally, she said, “I would never do [a 50-50 deal] with nobody.”

Beyoncé Collaborator Shaboozey Talks Using “Confusion” & “Mystique” To Draw New Fans

Shaboozey recently released the Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going album. Before his latest project dropped, the country recording artist appeared on Beyoncé’s chart-topping Cowboy Carter.

NPR’s Juana Summers interviewed Shaboozey to promote his new body of work. The 29-year-old performer spoke about the Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going trailer posted on YouTube and social media.

“I think, to me, when the concept came, it was just like there’s this man, and he’s noticing change. And he doesn’t like the change that he’s seeing,” Boozey explained. “And music needs to change, and it needs to progress into different things.”

He also said, “When you see my name and you see me, you’re kind of confused. I think the confusion and the mystique and just how interesting it is draws people to it. You got this guy named Shaboozey with the hair, and he’s tall. And he’s dark-skinned and has this style and this swag about him.”

Shaboozey showed up twice on Cowboy Carter. Music megastar Beyoncé recruited the Virginia native for the “Spaghettii” and “Sweet Honey Buckiin’” tracks.

In addition, Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” topped the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The record also peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard all-genre Hot 100 rankings.

NFL Player C.J. Stroud Checks Gillie Da King For Being Biased Against Kendrick Lamar

Gillie Da King became one of the side characters of the Kendrick Lamar versus Drake battle. The rapper-turned-podcaster’s support for Drake led to people accusing Gillie of being biased.

During the latest Million Dollaz Worth Of Game episode, NFL quarterback C.J. Stroud confronted Gillie Da King declaring Toronto’s Drake the winner over Compton’s Kendrick Lamar. The consensus view of the general public had Lamar as the victor.

“When Kendrick beat Drake, you said that last diss wasn’t better. You!” C.J. Stroud told Gillie, referring to Lamar’s Mustard-produced, chart-topping “Not Like Us” record.

Stroud continued, “I’m gonna check you right now, Unc. You’re tripping. We know you want the [Drake] interview.” The California native and his Texans teammate, Tank Dell, then laughed.

In response, Gillie Da King said, “This is a misconception. Bro, whether we interview somebody or not, our checks still the same.” The Philadelphia native also praised “Not Like Us” before C.J. Stroud replied, “But after it came out, you said [Drake] won.”

The years-long rivalry between Kendrick Lamar and Drake peaked in 2024 with the rap superstars collectively dropping nine diss songs in three months. Lamar’s “Not Like Us” turned into the breakout hit of the beef by debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Bobby Shmurda Claims He Doesn’t Get Streaming Service Support Because He Won’t Paint His Nails

Bobby Shmurda became one of the hottest young rappers in 2014 with his “Hot N####” single. After serving time in prison, Shmurda has not recreated the impact of his 5x-platinum record.

The Brooklyn native released his Bodboy project in 2022, but fans of Bobby Shmurda may not get any new music anytime soon. The 29-year-old rapper took to social media to explain why he fell back from dropping tracks.

“Stop asking me to drop music American DSP don’t allow real Bodman on playlists because I don’t paint my fingers so it’s pointless so until something is done with the people who own, runs, and manages these platforms,” Shmurda tweeted.

Numerous Hip-Hop artists, including Drake and Lil Yachty, have embraced painting their fingernails. Despite Shurmda’s statement, there is no evidence of streaming platforms playlisting songs based on nail polish usage.

Some critics consider male rappers painting their nails as feminine and a sign of homosexuality. Bobby Shmurda also faced accusations of being gay or bisexual during his career.

However, Shmurda has denied being part of the LGBTQ community. The GS9 member also responded to gay rumors in 2022 after promoting the polarizing “Hoochie Daddy” shorts for men.

“The people who are saying about the shorts and stuff, I feel like they got insecurities or some s###, they might even be insecure about some s###,” Bobby Shmurda stated. “Because I don’t know how you don’t want to wear no shorts for no girls.”

Cardi B Alleges Bia Tried To Silence Her With Video Proof She Cheated On Offset

Cardi B claims she learned Bia was shopping a sex tape of her and somebody other than her husband, Offset, to force the NYC rapper not to respond to her diss track.

During an Instagram Live over the weekend, Cardi claimed that a mutual friend of hers and Offset’s contacted her team, warning about a salacious gossip. “There’s this rumor going around that there’s a sex tape of Cardi,” she recalled before denying the existence of any such recording.

“I’ll pay somebody a million dollars cash,” Cardi B added. “Don’t even send it to my phone, put it on social media, put it out.”

Cardi B was told the rumor came from Bia, who “showed the video” to a producer who’s close friends with Offset, and another rapper.

The producer denied seeing the video but claimed “she’s gonna post the video,” if Cardi B responds to her diss track. The producer confirmed it was Bia making the claims.

Cardi B Said She Discovered It Was Bia “All Along”

Nonetheless, Cardi B still wasn’t convinced and thought somebody was “trying to be messy between me and her” by stirring up the existing tension. “Something ain’t adding up,” she explained.

However, the Grammy Award winner said the penny finally dropped after she subbed Bia on the “Wanna Be” remix. Cardi claimed Bia “felt some type of way” after hearing the song and said a friend sent her an unreleased diss from Bia. Cardi played a snippet of the track, which repeated the cheating allegations.

“So you was going around telling people that is close to my n#### that I’m f###### on n#####,” Cardi exclaimed. “I thought that it was somebody trying to be messy, trying to start some s### between me and you. But now that I see the fake diss record that you trying to put out, that was you all along.”

Furious about the cheating allegations, Cari B threatened to sue Bia. “I will get every little f###### red penny that you ever f###### make b####. Every money that you make off your publishing. So find something safe to do,” she added.

Meanwhile, Bia dropped a different Cardi B diss just hours after the Instagram Live. “’SUE ME’ ??? That’s not hip hop,” Bia captioned her post.

Rick Ross Laughs Off Car Show Complaints As Fans Demand Refunds: “We Made History”

Rick Ross may be celebrating the success of his third annual car show, but many unhappy attendees are demanding a refund.

The event on Saturday (June 1), reportedly drew more than 12,000 people to his sprawling estate in Georgia, dubbed “The Promised Land.” However, despite the acreage, fans complained about hours-long queues, while others said they couldn’t get in at all.

Nonetheless, Ross laughed off the criticisms via Instagram on Sunday (June 2), posting a TMZ report of the complaints. According to the MMG honcho, the event was historic, and he looks forward to repeating the feat in 2025.

“We made history!! 300 acres but everyone couldn’t make it ha,” he wrote alongside the report. “See everyone next year.”

Meanwhile, disgruntled car show ticket holders flooded Rick Ross’ comment section with complaints.

One user accused Ross of doing “bad business” and “said they “will never support this AGAIN” after traveling for seven hours only to be turned away at the entrance.

Another person who refused to return said, “This whole process was a zoo.” The user claimed they waited “five hours to get on a bus,” but couldn’t get in because organizers ran out of wristbands.

A third person said they “loved the show once I got in.” However, they spent three hours waiting for a shuttle and another hour to leave, even after skipping the line. “There was no crowd control at all, not enough restrooms,” they added. “No organization what so ever, hardly any medical support, no water stands… the list goes on. This could have been done much better.”

Chrisean Rock & Blueface “Beefing” Over Cheating Accusations

Chrisean Rock revealed she hung up on Blueface after he chastised her for staying out all night while he’s in jail

The reality TV star and rapper took to Instagram Live over the weekend to recap her jail call with the “House Arrest” rapper. She claimed Blueface was being “evil” and berated her for not coming home after a night out.

“This n#### so sensitive,” she began, recalling that she returned to her own home where a friend was babysitting her son rather than going back to Blueface’s house.

“Long story short, I didn’t go home, because I just really couldn’t. I just went to sleep after I threw up. Blue called this morning,” she said.

Chrisean Rock said that she’s on “lock down,” and doesn’t go out while Blueface is in the slammer. “It’s annoying sometimes, so when I do go out, I do be wanting to just cut loose and just be myself,” she explained.

“I got drunk, and I did go home, I went to where my son was at,” she added. “I could have went home and just left my son with the babysitter and he would have been fine. But I just wanted to go straight to my son.”

Chrisean Rock Claims She’s Paying Blueface’s Bills

Despite Blueface’s suspicions, Chrisean insisted she isn’t cheating and said she’s “sacrificed a lot” to be with him.

“I’m holding you down bro, I’m paying your bills,’ she added. “I’m not benefitting from this s###.”

Chrisean went on to claim that she’s paying thousands of dollars of bills on his behalf, including his legal fees and $15,000 every two months to pay rent on his restaurant amid renovations.

“You’re winning from the situation more than I am so why are you making it seem like you’re not?” she questioned. “You’re not my trick, like I’m actually your teammate that’s actually helping you win.”

Chrisean Rock previously insisted things were back on track with Blueface, and they were repairing their relationship.

Megan Thee Stallion unveiled several surprises during her concert over the weekend, bringing out Latto, previewing their new collab and revealing the release date for her next album.

On Sunday night (June 2) the Hot Girl Summer Tour finally arrived at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena after a water leak forced Meg to postpone two dates. Latto joined the H-Town Hottie to debut the “Sunday Service” remix.

Megan Thee Stallion also announced her third album, Megan, will arrive later this month. After the show, Meg shared the cover art of her self-titled project on social media.

Megan Thee Stallion has released a string of serpent-themed songs in the run-up to her album release, “Cobra,” “Hiss” and “Boa.” She previously described her upcoming project as a “rebirth” and was inspired by snakes shedding their skin. Her new cover art continues the theme, showing Megan Thee Stallion emerging from a chrysalis.

Earlier this year, Megan Thee Stallion shared that her next album will show a different side of her.

“I’ve always struggled to figure out how to be vulnerable and still make music that is going hard at the same time,” she explained during an April interview with Women’s Health. “I’m getting into a better space with making music that is still true to myself but also true to my message. I am very much a flower, but my flower has thorns.”

50 Cent Predicts World Is Ending As Donald Trump Raises $200M In Three Days Since Guilty Verdict

Donald Trump has reportedly racked up $200 million in donations in three days after being found guilty of 34 felonies, prompting 50 Cent to jokingly predict the end of days.

On Sunday (June 2), the entertainment mogul shared his reaction alongside a report of the former president’s fundraising efforts.

“SMH don’t worry the world’s almost over,” he wrote in the caption. “Just enjoy the moment and be happy.”

Trump’s campaign donations were revealed by his son, Eric Trump, during an appearance on Fox News Sunday.

“We’re well over $70 million,” he wrote. “This is $21 donations, $43 donations, right, small dollar donations. If you add the large dollar donations to it, you’re over $200 million.”

Last week, 50 Cent admitted he was surprised at vitriolic Trump supporters venting after the guilty verdict in the hush money trial. Trump is the first U.S. president to ever be convicted of a crime following his conviction on all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records.

Meanwhile, Trump joined TikTok this weekend, despite his attempts to ban the platform on national security grounds during his presidency. He posted a video to launch his account, showing his arrival at a recent UFC fight. The video attracted more than three million likes and followers since Saturday (June 1).

Common Reveals Drake’s Father Helped Squash Their Rap Beef Fueled By Serena Williams

Common has confirmed Drake’s father Dennis Graham was the real reason why his rap beef with Drizzy fizzled out so quickly while also admitting Serena Williams was at the center of their disagreement.

During a recent interview in promotion of his upcoming album, Common spoke about both his beef with Drake and the Toronto rapper’s recent rap beef with West Coast MC Kendrick Lamar.

While speaking on the subject, Common explained that much like the beef between Drake and Kendrick, his beef with Drizzy began after he was on the receiving end of what he perceived as sneak disses.

“I felt like Drake was sending me a couple of shots, subliminals,” Common said in part.

Common then revealed he wasn’t sure at first would the issue between them could be, outside of the fact they were both romantically involved with Williams.

“I don’t know what motivated him to send me some shots, but I think what for sure had me, if I’m just being real, like you know, we mess with one of the same girls….You know wars happen over women,” he said. “That’s just what it is.

“But I ain’t going to get at you if you with somebody I was with. But if you start throwing me a couple little, you know, you trying to throw some jabs, you know, and I’m like, ‘Come on man, OK.'”

Common delved into the process of making his diss records “Sweet” along with “Canada Dry” and his remix of French Montana’s “Stay Schemin” track featuring Drake and Rick Ross. Even though the record shows Common did his thing on the diss, he reportedly was advised to tame the verbal assault by none other than producer No ID.

“Shoutout to No ID ‘cause I had all of these bars, and he was like, ‘Bro, you can’t go that hard. Just wait, ‘cause it might be another round,” he said. “The younger generation don’t go that hard.’ When he told me that, I was like, ‘OK,’ so I took out a few lines.”

In the end, Common describes how a face-to-face encounter with Drake and his father, Dennis Graham, was the end-all-be-all to the beef due to messages he says Drizzy’s father conveyed to him during the interaction.

“I eventually saw Drake face-to-face, and I was at a point where I was like, ‘What’s up?’” he said. “And we had little words and then his father was there, and he was like, ‘Y’all need to squash this.’ And I was like, ‘Man, this is an elder talking to me, this is this man’s father, let me chill out’. And then Drake was just like, ‘I ain’t on this’ and we just squashed it.”

In the end, Common holds no bad blood about the rap beef with Drake and even holds a certain level of respect for their dust-up because of how it honors the longstanding tradition of competition in Hip-Hop.

“It’s over, but it was all in the art of Hip-Hop,” he said before concluding, “He said some things to me, so I had to say some things back. I wouldn’t say [he started it], but I know I heard something that I felt was directed to me, so I addressed it. That’s all. But you know, thank God we were able to move forward from it, and all is good.”

Steve Harvey Co-Host’s Husband Indicted By Fani Willis In RICO Case

The personal life of the “Steve Harvey Morning Show” co-host Shirley Strawberry is in the headlines thanks to her scamming hubby and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

Willis’ office has indicted Strawberry’s husband, Earnest Williams, on RICO charges for an elaborate scheme aimed at defrauding numerous victims over more than a decade.

Williams allegedly built a house of cards around his marriage to Strawberry, a well-known figure on the morning radio with Steve Harvey, to create an illusion of legitimacy while orchestrating his fraud.

According to the 39-count indictment, Williams used his purported union with Strawberry to orchestrate scams from 2009 to 2022, amassing over $750,000 in cash, vehicles, and various assets from at least 25 individuals.

“We believe she met a man, fell in love, and married him, but the truth is at the time he was already married to someone else,” District Attorney Fani Willis stated.

In a twisted tale of deception, Williams posed as a trustworthy entrepreneur while allegedly embezzling from unsuspecting victims.

“He would pretend to be a legitimate businessman, but he was stealing from people, in United States currency, vehicles, and really just taking advantage of people,” said Willis, who is also prosecuting RICO trials against former President Donald Trump and rap star Young Thug.

The indictment also names Ericka King as a co-conspirator, accusing her of misrepresenting Williams in judicial proceedings.

This development suggests further layers of duplicity within Williams’ operations, which were meticulously designed to maintain his ruse.

The DA’s office is actively seeking information regarding additional victims, believing the true extent of Williams’ fraudulent activities may be even more extensive.

Cardi B Fan Might Have Perfect Idea For A Response To BIA’s Diss Track “SUE MEEE?”

Cardi B may want to take the advice of her legions of fans on Twitter (X) amid her brewing rap beef with BIA, considering they’re offering her some pretty choice ideas on how to respond to her op’s diss track.

BIA dropped “SUE MEEE?” aimed at Cardi B following the “Bodak Yellow” rapper’s alleged subliminal on GloRilla’s “Wanna Be(Remix)” featuring Megan Thee Stallion. Soon after, the pair was involved in a disagreement that played out on social media after BIA posted remarks from Cardi B’s husband, Offset, suggesting infidelity in their marriage. The title of the diss itself is actually a reference to Cardi B’s threats to sue BIA for spreading the rumors about her and Offset.

And as far as “SUE MEEE?” Is confirmed, BIA took her insults to another level by suggesting Cardi B doesn’t actually write her raps and, instead, uses Megan’s ex-boyfriend Pardi Fontaine as a ghostwriter.

“C-A-R-D cryin’ on I-G (Cryin’ on I-G)/Catch another tude ’cause she couldn’t catch a beat (Couldn’t catch a beat)/Do I beef with you or do I beef with Pardi? (Huh)/You been scrapping projects since 2019 (Haha),” BIA raps on the track.

Even though it appears the rappers had words with each other, it’s clear BIA isn’t nearly as pressed as Cardi, considering she jumped on social media to address each and every claim alleged on “SUE MEEE?”

Instead of spinning her wheels, Twitter (X) users think Cardi B should get into the studio with the assistance of an old Lil Jon and The Eastside Boyz song.

“If Cardi B don’t sample this on her diss back to Bia it’s an L! It’s right by the rim! Bia! Bia!,” a user wrote in a tweet featuring a clip of Lil Jon’s 2000s hit “Bia Bia.”

Aside from the obvious hilarious implications, this could actually be a strong strategy for Cardi B, should she decide to respond.

Given that it appears BIA interpolated melodies and composition form Rodney O and Joe Cooley’s “Everlasting Bass” (as Metro Boomin and Future did on their Kendrick Lamar-assisted “Like That”), Cardi could certainly gain an edge by doing the same with Lil Jon’s anthem.

Check out Bia’s dis record below.

Cher Defends Boyfriend’s Role in Travis Scott & Tyga Cannes Brawl

Cher is coming to the defense of her boyfriend Alexander “AE” Edwards, who was recently involved in a fight between Tyga and Travis Scott’s respective crews.

The dust-up happened at the Cannes Film Festival in France, where promoter Richie Akiva was holding a star-studded party. Edwards was filmed pummeling 808 Mafia producer Southside before Scott pulled him off.

On Saturday (June 1), Cher tweeted in defense of her 38-year-old man, “I’m Proud of Alexander. He Didn’t Start The fight. Against 2 Men,… He finished it, Gotta Love Him.”

The incident took place on May 24 during Akiva’s event. Travis Scott was reportedly  upset when Akiva shouted out Tyga and Edwards at the event. Tyga is the ex-boyfriend of Kylie Jenner, the mother of Scott’s children. Scott allegedly snatched the mic from Akiva, leading to a confrontation with Edwards.

“Travis was the aggressor,” a source said. “He and his team were being neurotic, erratic and crazy. He was there looking for a fight with anyone to be honest.”

Scott allegedly threatened Tyga’s security and returned with Southside, leading to the melee. A witness claimed Edwards “and Tyga’s assistant began to beat up Travis,” but security was eventually able to restore some order. Tyga, meanwhile, stayed off to the side of the DJ booth. Tyga, Edwards and their entourage stayed at the party, while Scott and Southside left the event.

TMZ caught up with Edwards a few days after the fight and asked if he and Scott had a chance to talk it out. He replied, “It’s all good. He [his bodyguard] ain’t have to work that nigh. But shout out Southside, that’s my n####. I know he was just defending his boy and doing what he was supposed to be doing as his boy.”

Edwards added there’s “no hard feelings,” between them, saying, “It is what it is, it went how it went. I don’t wann fight. I don’t initiate that s###. I’m a protect myself and my people.”

When asked if he had a message for Scott, he replied, “No message. They got the message. It’s just n##### being n#####, at the end of the day. It’s a healthy fade, that’s what it is.”

Little Simz Calls For Better Resources For Young Creatives

Little Simz has shared her vision of breaking down barriers in the industry.

As Little Simz approaches her 30th birthday, she reflects on her mission to inspire the next generation and emphasizes her efforts to be more present in local communities.

“Allowing people to see me and know that their dreams are achievable is crucial,” she told Elle in a recent interview. “I’m working on being more visible, visiting schools and youth centers,” Simz said.

She hopes these experiences will stay with young people long after the encounters, making them believe in the possibility of success.

She explained, “Picture me at the youth club today and on the catwalk tomorrow. I want people to look at me and think, ‘Yes, that’s something I can do.'”

Simz also voiced her concerns about the cuts to youth clubs and the arts in the UK, stressing how vital these resources were to her development.

“It’s frustrating,” she said. “I can’t imagine my life without those opportunities. Growing up, there’s not much to do in our environments, and kids naturally end up on the streets. Cutting their creativity at such a young age is tremendously detrimental.”

The London-born rapper’s influence extends beyond music, shaping a broader cultural conversation about accessibility and mentorship in the arts.

Simz’s words ring a challenging note for policymakers and educators.

“Creativity is a way of life. When nurtured, it teaches problem-solving and creation, skills that are essential for the future. It’s not just about making a painting.”

Yung Gravy Trades Mic For Bat With St. Louis Cardinals

Yung Gravy is swapping his microphone for a baseball bat—at least for one day.

The St. Louis Cardinals signed the multi-platinum artist to a one-day contract, bringing a touch of Hip-Hop flair to Busch Stadium.

Yung Gravy, known for hits like “Mr. Clean” and “1 Thot 2 Thot Red Thot Blue Thot,” Yung Gravy accepted the Cardinals’ offer with enthusiasm, donning a custom jersey.

Yung Gravy’s journey to the big leagues started when podcast host Bobbi Althoff asked him if he played for the Cardinals—a question that led him to post a humorous plea on TikTok.

“Any teams out there willing to have Yung Gravy? Cardinals are my first pick!”

Shortly after that, the Cardinals responded affirmatively, and fans can watch him unbox his custom jersey on social media.

While the one-day stint with the Cardinals is grabbing headlines, it’s not the only exciting venture for Gravy in 2024.
