“Sinners” Crushes NAACP Image Awards Competition With Michael B. Jordan Leading Charge

Michael B. Jordan claimed two major honors at Saturday’s NAACP Image Awards ceremony, while Ryan Coogler’s horror film Sinners collected an impressive 13 trophies out of 18 nominations.

The Pasadena Civic Auditorium event saw Jordan take home both Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture and the coveted Entertainer of the Year award for his dual performance in the acclaimed thriller.

Miles Caton earned the Breakthrough Performance award while Delroy Lindo and Wunmi Mosaku secured Supporting Actor and Supporting Actress honors, respectively, for their roles in the Warner Brothers production.

Director Ryan Coogler swept multiple categories, including Outstanding Motion Picture, Outstanding Writing in a Motion Picture, and Outstanding Directing in a Motion Picture, with the entire cast also receiving Outstanding Ensemble Cast in a Motion Picture recognition.

The film’s soundtrack also earned recognition during the ceremony, cementing Sinners as the night’s biggest winner ahead of the upcoming Academy Awards season.

Coogler delivered a powerful acceptance speech that resonated throughout the auditorium.

“Since our people been here over four centuries, there’s always been a lot of lies told about us. And a lie, no matter how powerful the person saying it is, is still a lie and the truth, no matter how little power the person saying it has, is still the truth, and the truth is y’all are loved, y’all are beautiful and y’all are powerful and mighty. And bless y’all. Thank y’all so much.”

Jordan used his Best Actor acceptance moment to honor his late Black Panther co-star Chadwick Boseman, delivering an emotional tribute that brought the crowd to their feet.

“Y’all really don’t understand how much this means to me, being here. I used to come here when I was a kid, when I was about 15 years old, sneaking in through the back as best I could,” Jordan said during his speech.

The actor continued his heartfelt remarks, adding: “This is a place where I always felt encouraged, always felt like I was being celebrated and nourished. You told me it was OK to keep going because I felt seen here, I felt comfortable, I felt the love. That’s why I love being here, and I love you guys so much.”

Jordan concluded his acceptance speech with a dedication that moved the entire ceremony: “And I was thinking about lead actor, and I was thinking about what lead actor meant to me, and, honestly, I’ve got to dedicate this award to Chadwick Boseman. I love being Black. I love y’all.”

The horror film’s success at the NAACP Image Awards positions it as a strong contender for the upcoming Academy Awards ceremony scheduled for March 15, 2026.

Deon Cole’s Nicki Minaj & Donald Trump Jokes Ignite Death Threats From MAGA & Barbz

The world can be harsh, but this feels like a breaking point.

Death threats?

Last night, Deon Cole took the stage as host of the 2026 NAACP Image Awards, an annual celebration of Black excellence that has long balanced culture, entertainment and sometimes social commentary. The ceremony has historically blended inspiration with sharp humor. Think of past hosts who used the platform to critique politics, pop culture and even the audience itself. That tradition continued this year.

But what started as roasting turned into something darker.

View this post on Instagram

During his monologue, Cole cracked jokes about several high profile figures, including Donald Trump, Nicki Minaj and 50 Cent. The comedian leaned into satire, even framing part of his commentary as a mock prayer. We laughed.

In one segment, Cole referenced Minaj’s recent public support of Trump and her alignment with the MAGA movement. He joked, “Lord, we want you to bless our sister Nicki Minaj. She’s been going through a lot lately and hasn’t been herself, Lord. I believe whatever’s in her body is affecting her brain, Lord.” The punchline drew pure laughter from the audience.

He also addressed the recent BAFTAs controversy involving a Tourette’s activist who shouted the N-word during a presentation. Cole warned, in jest, that anyone in the audience with Tourette’s “better read the room tonight.” This is humor but definitely sensitive territory.

The NAACP Image Awards have always provided space for bold commentary like most shows of this nature. Over the years, the show has addressed racism, police brutality, political tension and cultural issues. Comedy has often been this vehicle, but the reaction is now something otherworldly. Or, it could be very Earthly in nature.

Within hours, Cole reportedly began receiving threatening messages, even death threats.

Supporters of Trump took issue with the political jabs. Some members of Nicki Minaj’s fan base expressed outrage online. Others aligned with 50 Cent criticized the comedian. A few individuals crossed the line entirely, referencing Cole’s late mother in cruel online posts.

That is where the situation moves from debate to danger.

Criticism is one thing. Death threats are another. Comedy has long operated in uncomfortable spaces. From Richard Pryor to Chris Rock, George Carlin to Sam Kinison, to Tony Hinchcliffe and Roseanne Barr…pushing buttons has been part of the art form. There have been times when racism seemingly seeps in these spaces too. The audience groans, cheers or condemns, but rarely do they face what Cole now faces.

When fans move from disagreement to intimidation, it signals something more troubling about our digital culture. Oftentimes, it is a reflection of leadership. Social media does not help as it often rewards extremism over reasonable thought. A joke can become a rallying cry for harassment instantly.

Whether you found Cole funny or offensive is subjective. But threats and personal attacks are not commentary. They are escalation.

The NAACP Image Awards were created to uplift and honor Black achievement in entertainment, politics and community leadership. They have also served as a space for reflection and critique. If comedians cannot test boundaries without fear for their safety, the space for cultural conversation shrinks.

The bigger question is not whether Deon Cole went too far. It is whether we have.

Comedy has always walked a thin line. In the age of viral clips and hyperpartisan loyalty, that line feels thinner than ever. As audiences, we have to decide whether we can separate satire from warfare.

One thing is clear. Disagreement should never turn into threats.

Krissy Yamagucci’s Passing At 35 Marks Heartbreaking Loss For Battle Rap

The battle rap community is devastated as it mourns the loss of veteran female battle rapper Krissy Yamagucci, born Christ Lee Boothe, who reportedly passed away at 35.

A respected pioneer in women’s battle rap, Krissy helped lay the foundation for Queen of the Ring, playing a vital role in solidifying it as the world’s greatest all-women’s battle rap league.

Her impact was not limited to the movement’s early years. She remained active, sharp, and dangerous on the stage, continuing to prove why she was regarded as one of the culture’s most commanding performers.

News of her passing, believed to have occurred on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, was confirmed by family on Thursday, February 26. The announcement sent shockwaves through a community she helped build.

Her family member, Lyfesize Diivadoll, shared the heartbreaking statement on Instagram.

View this post on Instagram

“It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved family member,” the post read. “She was a beautiful soul inside and out, a devoted mother of two intelligent boys, and a powerful female battle rapper whose presence commanded every stage she touched.”

The tribute continued, highlighting both her artistry and her devotion to her family.

“Her beauty radiated far beyond appearance — it lived in her confidence, her humor, and the fearless way she spoke her truth. Funny, well-spoken, and incredibly talented, she was truly the life of every show and left a lasting impression on everyone who witnessed her gift. Above all, she was a proud and loving mother who poured her strength, wisdom, and love into her sons every single day.”

A GoFundMe has been established to assist with funeral services and to provide continued support for her two sons.

Yamagucci battled across major platforms outside of QOTR, including CHROME23, Bullpen Battle League, Rare Breed Entertainment, and many other smaller leagues.

She also appeared on the Baddie Rap Show hosted by Murda Mook and was a breakout star on Baddies of Battle Rap, reaching the semifinals against Nadia Ali.

Her resume includes memorable performances against Tori Doe, Cee the Boss, Star Smilez and others.

More recently, she delivered a decisive win over rising star Yoshi G — a calculated and commanding performance that nearly shut the FAMU alum down as an emcee. It was proof that Krissy’s legacy was not frozen in nostalgia.

She was still evolving and still winning.

Beyond battle rap, Christ Lee Boothe was building a catalog as a recording artist.

Her 2024 single “Stand Out” showcased her ability to craft structured records while maintaining the confidence and sharp delivery that defined her battle persona.

She also appeared on collaborative releases, including “Heaven,” extending her reach onto streaming platforms and demonstrating that her artistry stretched beyond face-offs and crowd reactions.

For Krissy, music was not an afterthought. It was an expansion. Battle rap sharpened her pen; recording allowed her to shape it differently. She wasn’t content with viral moments alone. She was building a body of work.

Tributes from leagues and friends poured in as news spread.

Her Harlem sister and fellow battle rapper wrote, “WE LOVE YOU KRISSY!!! Forever in our hearts! Your name will live on baby.”

Battle rapper C3 shared, “I have been crying since 5 am. smh. I’m going to miss you, friend.”

Shooney Da Rapper posted, “Wow I’m hurt by this man… RIP Krissy.”

Babs Bunny wrote, “I’m extremely sad to see you go @krissyyamaguccci I took the time out to make this video for you,” later adding, “I keep coming back to your page cause I don’t want this to be true.”

Her home league, Queen of the Ring, honored her as foundational to its success: “To a true pioneer of the ring: Thank you for over a decade of brilliance on the QOTR platform. A natural-born star and gifted lyricist who helped define the world’s number-one female battle league. Rest in power, legend. Your legacy is etched in history and in our hearts forever.”

Bullpen Battle League wrote, “We send our sincere condolences to the family. It was a pleasure to have worked with her.”

Ultimate Rap League added, “Rest in Peace to Krissy Yamagucci. The culture will truly miss your unique style, charismatic presence, and upbeat attitude. Prayers to her family, friends, and the entire battle rap community.”

A candle lighting service took place on Friday, February 27, in Harlem, New York, where loved ones and supporters will gather to celebrate her life before burial.

Krissy Yamagucci leaves behind two sons, a catalog of battles, music, and moments that helped fortify women’s battle rap as a global force.

Veteran. Pioneer. Mother. Artist. Her imprint on the culture is permanent — and her voice will echo long after the stage lights dim.

Swizz Beatz Faces Double Financial Battle With IRS & 1MDB Lawsuit

Swizz Beatz owes the Internal Revenue Service more than $5.7 million in unpaid federal taxes while simultaneously battling a separate $7.3 million lawsuit connected to the 1MDB corruption scandal.

The Grammy-winning producer received his latest tax lien in January 2026 for $1,242,984 in unpaid 2024 income taxes, the New York Post reports.

Combined with outstanding liens totaling $4,482,273 for his 2022 and 2023 filings, the 47-year-old music mogul faces a staggering $5,725,257 federal tax bill.

Swizz Beatz’s business manager, Jeffrey Feinman, called the tax debt “old news” and claimed “there are certain issues under dispute” while the producer works toward resolution.

Alicia Keys remains unnamed in any of the tax liens against her husband of 14 years.

The Bronx-born producer’s financial troubles extend beyond tax issues into federal court proceedings related to the massive 1MDB Malaysian corruption scandal.

A federal judge denied Swizz Beatz’s motion to dismiss himself as a defendant in October 2025, forcing him to remain in litigation over $7.3 million allegedly connected to fugitive financier Jho Low.

Liquidators claim Swizz Beatz received the disputed funds through shell companies controlled by Low, the alleged mastermind behind the $7.65 billion 1MDB fraud.

Court documents reveal that the producer owned Andy Warhol’s “Round Jackie,” which Low allegedly gifted him in 2014 and that the Department of Justice later recovered as part of its 1MDB investigation.

The music executive has maintained his innocence regarding the 1MDB allegations, with his attorneys stating all payments were received “without actual fraudulent intent.”

This marks the producer’s third major tax crisis since 2008, when he and former wife Mashonda Tifrere accumulated $2.6 million in federal liens across New York, Georgia and California.

He previously resolved a $655,785 IRS debt in 2016 for unpaid taxes from 2009, 2014 and 2015.

The producer has continued his expensive hobbies despite mounting legal costs, reportedly spending millions on more than 50 racing camels for his “Saudi Bronx” team competing in Middle Eastern races.

Bhad Bhabie Somberly Plays With Her Toddler After Sad Cancer Update

Bhad Bhabie spent some good family time with her baby girl, Kali Love, after receiving troubling news from her medical team this week about her ongoing battle with blood cancer.

The 22-year-old rapper posted a cute video of herself on her IG stories, showing her spending time with the toddler as the two snuggled and played on the bed.

Bhad Bhabie seemed sad as the two played. The video comes after she shared a brief but powerful message on X Saturday that left supporters rallying around her with prayers and encouragement.

“Bad news from my doctor yesterday, god has the last say so not my cancer,” Bhad Bhabie wrote to her millions of followers.

The statement came without additional details about her specific diagnosis or treatment plan, but sources close to the situation confirm she continues receiving medical care for blood cancer.

The Florida native first revealed her cancer battle in November 2024 when critics questioned her noticeable weight loss after giving birth to her daughter.

She shut down speculation by explaining that cancer medication caused the physical changes people were commenting on across social media platforms.

“I’m sorry my cancer medicine made me loose weight. I’m slowly gaining it back. So stop running w the worst narratives,” she stated on Instagram Stories at the time.

The announcement prompted an outpouring of support from her dedicated fanbase, who flooded the comments with messages of hope and faith.

Bhad Bhabie rose to fame after her memorable 2016 appearance on Dr. Phil, where she coined the phrase “Cash me outside, how bout dat.”

She later transformed that viral moment into a successful rap career, becoming the youngest female rapper to appear on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

She also hit the jackpot after launching her OnlyFans account in 2021, which has since raked in over $75 million.

The young mother has been balancing her health challenges, raising her infant daughter, and maintaining her music career.

While Bhad Bhabie has been under consistent medical supervision since her diagnosis, the specific type and stage of her blood cancer have not been publicly disclosed, respecting her privacy during treatment.

50 Cent Documentary Rumors… Could T.I. & Tiny Doc Take Battle Too Far?

There’s chatter bubbling up again, and before we go any further, let’s be clear: this is rumor territory. There is no verified reporting, no official announcement, and no credible sourcing that confirms any of this. But since it is being discussed publicly, let’s unpack what is being said.

Tasha K, the controversial podcaster who previously lost a high-profile defamation lawsuit to Cardi B, recently hinted at a possible documentary involving T.I. and Tiny Harris. According to her claims, the project could allegedly be backed by 50 Cent. Again, this is speculation and rumors.

Still, the timing makes people curious.

50 Cent has built a second career as a formidable executive producer in television and film. His documentary work and crime-based storytelling have often targeted powerful figures, including his well-publicized critiques of Diddy. So the idea of him turning his lens toward the Harris family is not outside the realm of possibility. It would, however, represent a serious escalation in what has already been an intensely personal back-and-forth.

Last week, the Harris family responded aggressively to 50 Cent’s online commentary. Diss records surfaced. Memes were posted. Social media trolling reached another level. It was multi-generational and coordinated in a way we have rarely seen directed at 50. If there was ever a moment where he appeared to take more of a promotional posture and less of a combative one, it was now. He shifted attention toward his television ventures and business projects.

That pivot is what has fueled the rumor machine. If he is not sparring publicly, is he building something behind the scenes?

Here is where things get complicated. The legal matter involving T.I. and Tiny was previously settled in their favor. A documentary revisiting that chapter would have to navigate facts carefully. Settlements do not prohibit storytelling, but they do frame the narrative. Depending on perspective, the same set of facts can be presented in dramatically different ways. That is the power and danger of documentary filmmaking.

And if this were to unfold, it would not be one-sided. The Harris camp has referenced legal documents, prior allegations tied to 50 Cent, and other controversies that could be reintroduced into public discourse. A documentary war could easily become a mutually assured destruction battle.

But let’s back up…

This is Hip-Hop. It thrives on lyrical combat, cultural debate, and competitive energy. What it does not need is endless cycles of destruction that pull families, children, and old legal wounds back into the spotlight. These are RICH public figures with enormous platforms. Most people watching from the sidelines are just trying to navigate rising costs, political tension, and global instability.

If this rumor turns out to be nothing, then it fades as quickly as it appeared. If there is something brewing, then transparency will eventually surface. Until then, it remains talk.

For now, maybe cooler heads prevail. Maybe.

Deon Cole Asks God To Save Nicki Minaj’s Brain During NAACP Image Awards

Deon Cole turned the NAACP Image Awards into his personal comedy stage Saturday night when he delivered a mock prayer targeting Nicki Minaj that had the entire audience rolling with laughter.

The comedian opened his hosting duties with what started as a sincere blessing but quickly transformed into a roast that referenced Minaj’s recent political controversies.

Cole told the crowd he wanted to pray for “our sister, Nicki Minaj” because she’s “been going through a lot lately” and “hasn’t been herself.”

Then came the punchline that sent the room into hysterics. Cole suggested that whatever’s “in her ass is affecting her brain” and asked the Lord to “take it out.”

The audience erupted as cameras captured people laughing and nodding along to his preacher-style delivery.

Cole’s reference to Nicki “not being herself” clearly pointed to the backlash she’s received for supporting Donald Trump’s political agenda, which has created tension within her fanbase and drawn criticism from Hip-Hop communities nationwide.

The Insecure star made sure to spread the comedy around, also targeting Teyana Taylor and 50 Cent during his opening segment.

Nicki Minaj has consistently defended her political positions despite facing intense scrutiny from fans and fellow artists. Her public statements in support of certain policies have sparked ongoing debates about celebrity influence in politics.

Social media exploded with reactions to Cole’s performance, with many calling it one of the most memorable NAACP Image Awards opening segments in years.

The NAACP Image Awards will air on BET next weekend with additional behind-the-scenes footage.

Fatimah “Trouble Time” Mayweather Speaks On Floyd Mayweather, Celebrity Boxing Debut And more

A new name from boxing royalty is stepping into the ring, and the moniker absolutely rings a bell. Fatimah “Trouble Time” Mayweather — daughter of Floyd Mayweather Sr.and sister of Floyd Mayweather Jr. — is officially announcing her 2026 debut in boxing. She will fight in April as a co-headlining feature in the Chrisean Rock vs Zenith Zion celebrity match.

Fatimah trained early under her father and was once on the radar of Top Rank before taking a different path that included street-fight moments and even reality-TV buzz. Now she’s bringing that same intensity back to the sport that runs in her bloodline.

She’s even joked about her unrealized potential: “I would’ve been Claressa Shields before Claressa Shields’ fan base after Laila Ali… respectfully.” Stay tuned — Team Mayweather might have another headline-maker on the way. Below is an edited Q&A interview with Chuck Jigsaw Creekmur, AllHipHop boss and combat sports enthusiast. Watch the video for everything.

AllHipHop: Congratulations. This is your boxing debut, which is crazy. You teamed up with XRumble, Damon Feldman, and everybody over there. Fatimah, what made you decide to lace up and get in the ring?

Fatimah “Trouble Time” Mayweather: I used to do it when I was younger and then I had to stop for a minute. My grandmother didn’t want me to fight. Then come to find out my dad like, I don’t want you to be boxing. You’re my daughter and it’s not enough money in there. It’s just something I been want to do all my life. So I been doing it since I was young, then I got to stop and start taking it on the street. So might as well get paid for it.

AllHipHop: Training is different when it’s real structure. How’s camp been?

Fatimah: It’s been okay. I was surprised because I started cold turkey, out of nowhere, and back to it. I work out anyway. I’m very athletic anyway. I just kept it going, went to the gym and blocked my mind out of anything else.

AllHipHop: You’re co-headlining under the Chrisean Rock and Zenith Zion fight. That’s a big stage. How you feel about that?

Fatimah: I feel really excited. It’s a big deal. I feel blessed, thankful and grateful they gave me this opportunity to bring out who I am so the world can see who I am, my attitude, my s####. I want to bring it to the table up front.

AllHipHop: Preston, what gravitated you to her?

Preston: I’ve known Fatimah for a while. Friends on social media forever, like the whole Mayweather family. In 2019 one of my brands gave her father an award and she accepted it on his behalf. Watching her over the years, I knew she was a star. Fiery personality, always had hands. She’s known for the street fights as well and trained with her father young.

On January 20th, I reached out and said you need to get in celebrity boxing, you’ll be great. I had to talk her into it. I said hold on, I’m about to make you a flyer and give you a vision. We posted it on Facebook and it went viral in Grand Rapids. The city showed love, her family showed love, and it was like yeah, this is the right decision.

AllHipHop: Me and Damon Feldman go way back. He was ahead of the curve. Celebrity boxing is hotter than ever. What’s your take on where this is going?

Preston: Damon is the pioneer of celebrity boxing. It’s hotter than it’s ever been. Shout out Logan Paul, and Floyd Mayweather Jr. doing exhibitions. This is the future. When current fighters are done, they’re coming back to do exhibitions and celebrity boxing. I call it the Ice Cube Big3 of boxing. The afterlife. It’s a place for everybody.

AllHipHop: Fatimah, how was it growing up a Mayweather?

Fatimah: It was always good. I didn’t have to worry about anything. But I always had people that want to test me or try me. I hear, you Floyd sister, I hear that to this day. I’m always going to live behind that shadow no matter what it is. So I’m trying to put my own name. It can go good or bad. I always been tested though. Let me see if she got them hands like that. So I always had to fight.

AllHipHop: What made you pick the name Trouble Time?

Fatimah: That was my alter ego for Firecracker. And shout out to Jason Lee from Hollywood Unlocked, because he always called me Trouble. He kind of gave me that name, so I went with it and it stuck.

AllHipHop: What you think about your opponent, Vicious Venus?

Fatimah: I don’t think about her. I just want to put ass. I haven’t looked her up too much. But I’ll give her a shout out for giving me this opportunity, this chance to put the belt to ass. Either way, she gonna catch it.

AllHipHop: Y’all coming to Philly. Big fight town.

Fatimah: Also I’ll be at the ring girls auditions.

AllHipHop: When I put AllHipHop on the flyer, a lot of rappers started talking to me. We gonna try to get names ringside.

Fatimah: I seen Benzino said he coming. They said Freeway might be flying through. I talked to Meatball, she said she pulling up.

AllHipHop: Let’s talk the main event. Chrisean and Zenith. What do y’all think?

Fatimah: It’s good. Chrisean is very athletic. She won Ninja Warrior, played football, do track. She definitely has it in her. I’m liking how she learning to use that left hand now. She seem focused, getting the drama out her life. Big up to Chrisean. Shout out to Zenith too. It’s gonna be a good night.

AllHipHop: Preston, you were naming a lot of Grand Rapids legends. Put some respect on the city.

Preston: Grand Rapids got a lot. Fight town too. Mayweathers, of course. Shout out Kid Chocolate. Shout out Tony Tucker, James Toney, Matthew Saad Muhammad, Buster Mathis Jr. The DeBarges. Marvin Sapp. Al Green. We representing for the town.

AllHipHop: Floyd coming back, Pacquiao coming back. Thoughts?

Fatimah: I’m ready for the excitement. Ready to be ringside like usual.

Preston: Vegas economy took a hit. Floyd carried Vegas on his back for two decades. That announcement went viral everywhere. History will be made. Fatimah fights April 25 in Philadelphia, and then Tyson in Congo Africa on the same night if it go to plan. Mayweather takeover.

AllHipHop: Do you plan to do more boxing after this?

Fatimah: That’s the goal. I want to be international with it. I want to be known.

AllHipHop: Quick Hip-Hop check. Top five?

Preston: Nas. Tupac. Jay-Z. Mase. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. And I love Cam and Dipset, The LOX, Meek too.

Fatimah: Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. Do or Die. Tupac. I like The LOX, together.

AllHipHop: Women’s boxing. Do you feel part of this movement?

Fatimah: I feel like I’m in a league of my own because who I am, I’m already established with the name. Whatever venture I go in, it’s going to take off. But shout out to women because it’s hard. Watching women do 10 rounds, I applaud them. It’s a good thing for boxing right now.

Preston: Women’s division is stepping up. A lot of opportunity coming. New rising stars coming to the marketplace.

Server goes to ‘fine dining’ New England restaurant for anniversary meal. Then she notices just how many things they’re doing wrong: ‘I never get the experience I give’

A New England fine dining server went viral for explaining why her experience as a fine dining customer was so disappointing.

On Feb. 16, Leigha Fabian (@leighafabian) posted a TikTok detailing her experience, which has garnered 2.4 million views.

“So, I work in fine dining, and I’m at a very nice restaurant for my two-year anniversary with my boyfriend,” Fabian says.

What Made Her Fine Dining Experience So Disappointing?

However, Fabian explains that her experience in fine dining led to a hypercritical eye. “Instead of enjoying myself—well, simultaneously while enjoying myself—all I can think about is why were their bar fridges dirty?” she asks.

She continues, “And why did my entrees hit the table before you reset me with my proper silverware? And why did you not crumb the table in between courses? Why am I pouring my own wine? Why is my sparkling water not in a carafe like the table next to me has?”

She explains that working in that industry has made dining experiences less enjoyable. “I miss being ignorant of these kinds of things and not having them drilled in my head,” she adds.

The comments were full of other fine dining servers and customers sharing similar experiences. “I’m the best server and the worst customer,” wrote one commenter.

“People hating clearly have never spent $150+ per person on a dinner,” added another. “You have every right to an exceptional experience.”

“Restaurants love charging fine dining prices, but don’t train their staff for a fine dining experience,” said a third commenter.

What Sets Fine Dining Apart From The Typical Restaurant Experience?

A key element that sets fine dining apart from the average restaurant is the complex systems that are integral to the restaurant’s operations. True fine dining is built on consistency, ritual, and an almost invisible level of attentiveness designed to make guests feel taken care of without ever having to ask.

Institutions like the Michelin Guide emphasize that luxury dining is about “precision and harmony.” Every movement from the staff is intentional and choreographed. A reason that the server’s video resonated with so many is that none of the issues she pointed out were subjective preferences. They were violations of widely accepted service standards.

For example, resetting silverware between courses and crumbing the table are core markers of pacing and care. Fine dining service manuals and hospitality programs teach that these moments act as a psychological reset, signaling a new course and restoring a sense of order. When entrees arrive before fresh silverware, it creates friction where there should be flow. Similarly, failing to crumb a table might communicate inattentiveness, especially at restaurants charging upwards of $150 per person.

Additionally, guests are typically not expected to pour their own wine in most fine dining experiences unless explicitly invited to do so. Standards taught by organizations like the Court of Master Sommeliers stress that controlled pouring preserves temperature, pacing, and presentation, which are all part of the experience guests are paying for.

AllHipHop reached out to Fabian for comment via TikTok direct message and TikTok comment. We will update this story if she responds.

Trick Daddy Announced New Pot Line Extension Of Restaurant Business

Trick Daddy unveiled his professional cookware collection called “Trick I Got My Pots” this week in Miami after years of building his culinary reputation.

The Miami rapper-turned-restaurateur designed heavy-bottomed pots and nonstick skillets in pastel blue for everyday home cooking.

Local 10 News tested the durability claims while Trick demonstrated his signature scrambled egg technique in his kitchen.

The cookware line represents a natural progression from his established food ventures, including Sunday’s Eatery locations in Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

Trick developed recipes for his restaurants using his grandmother’s traditional methods before remixing them with assistance from his business partner.

His Facebook cooking show I Got My Pots featured celebrity guests like Fat Joe and Tamar Braxton preparing meals together.

The YouTube series showcased Trick’s authentic cooking skills with episodes featuring jerk chicken pasta and shrimp preparations that attracted hundreds of thousands of viewers.

“I’m talking about the starches, your greens, your corn bread and meats,” Trick explained about his restaurant philosophy during previous interviews.

His culinary journey began in childhood, when he cooked alongside family members before transitioning into professional kitchen management.

Sunday’s Eatery serves traditional soul food, including turkey wings, fried pork chops and homemade sides that reflect his Miami roots.

The restaurant’s success provided the foundation for expanding into retail cookware designed for home cooks seeking restaurant-quality results.

The “Trick I Got My Pots” collection focuses on functionality over celebrity branding with professional-grade construction meant for daily kitchen use.

Each piece features the distinctive pastel blue color scheme that matches his restaurant’s aesthetic while maintaining serious cooking performance standards.

The Miami native continues to balance his music career obligations with his growing food empire nearly 30 years after his Hip-Hop debut.

The cookware line will be available for purchase starting March 15 through select Miami retailers.

Nipsey Hussle’s Marathon Burger Opening Times Square Restaurant

Blacc Sam revealed Marathon Burger will open a Times Square location during his appearance on Scottie & FRNDs.

The brother of late Hip-Hop legend Nipsey Hussle confirmed the brand’s New York expansion plans while discussing its rapid growth across multiple markets.

The Times Square restaurant is Marathon’s fourth location, following successful launches in Los Angeles, Venice Beach, and Long Beach. Sam explained that the New York move honors his brother’s connection to the city during his early career.

“Hustle love New York,” Sam said during the interview. “Hustle went out there and was living out there when he was doing his mixtapes when he first got signed. New York embraced him and he always would be very vocal with us like man I love New York bro you got to get to New York.”

The Marathon brand has expanded beyond clothing into food service with remarkable success in Los Angeles. The original Melrose location opened in March 2024 and quickly became a cultural destination for Hip-Hop culture enthusiasts.

Sam detailed how the Long Beach location came together through partnerships with Snoop Dogg and the Broadus family. The collaboration brought additional investment capital, significantly accelerating the expansion timeline.

“Without them, honestly, we wouldn’t be able to get this next store open so fast,” Sam explained. “Like right now, I think when we open, it’s going to be the one-year anniversary.”

According to Sam, the Times Square location is currently undergoing renovation. He emphasized the significance of bringing Marathon Burger to Manhattan’s most famous commercial district.

“My first time in New York was with bro and we got a lot of love for New York because of that and because they always show hustle so much love and the brand so much love so I know that time square New York is gonna just go crazy,” Sam stated.

Marathon Burger operates as part of the larger Marathon lifestyle brand, which includes clothing, real estate, and entertainment ventures.

The restaurant concept maintains the brand’s commitment to community investment and to representing authentic Hip-Hop culture.

Sam stressed the importance of maintaining authenticity as the business scales nationally. He referenced lessons learned from Nipsey Hussle about prioritizing brand integrity over rapid financial gains.

“Brand over business,” Sam said, quoting his late brother’s philosophy. “We moving with authenticity we’re moving with purpose and we’re moving with thinking about the brand first.”

Marathon Burger’s expansion coincides with other Marathon brand initiatives, including the upcoming Prolific album release and a Nipsey Hussle documentary project currently in post-production.

Green Bay man’s ‘racist neighbors’ keep calling police on Puerto Rican cafe next door. Then he decides to make things right

A Green Bay, Wisconsin, content creator is asking for help after one “racist” neighbor gets the Puerto Rican cafe next door shut down. Here’s what happened and why he wants your help.

TikTok creator Bird (@urfriendbird) is a 29-year-old man who identifies as autistic. He posted a video about the situation on Feb. 14.

“Y’all want to help me p### off some racist neighbors and at the same time make another neighbor’s dreams come true?” he asks his audience to start the video.

Green Bay Man’s ‘Racist’ Neighbor Gets Puerto Rican Cafe Shut Down

Bird explains, “In my area, there is a phenomenal Puerto Rican home bakery/cafe, but unfortunately, they can no longer sell their food because a neighbor keeps calling the police on them.”

The home bakery in question is called Coqui Cafe. “When I’ve talked to them, they have mentioned that they want to open up a proper cafe within Green Bay,” Bird says. “I was thinking, ‘I have a platform; I can use my platform. Maybe I can help a little bit.’ If you guys have a dollar, this is their Cash App.”

The username he shows is $CoquiCafe2025.

Bird adds, “Don’t tell them that anyone sent you. Just tell them what it’s for. I really think that we can help them. Their food is incredible. Their prices are incredible. I really think we could make a difference in their lives.”

Viewers React to the Plight of Green Bay’s Coqui Cafe

Bird’s video reached more than 3.9 million views in the last two weeks. In the comments section of the video, viewers expressed support for Bird’s idea and Coqui Cafe’s dream of a brick-and-mortar cafe.

“Let’s make Coqui Cafe go viral,” said one viewer.

“Way to go man, I love this,” said a second person.

“We got this,” a third person wrote, accompanied by a photo of Puerto Rican pop star Bad Bunny.

Another person said, “This reached Puerto Rico!”

What Is Going on With Coqui Cafe?

In a follow-up video, Bird revealed that Coqui Cafe joined TikTok. The account posted a series of slides responding to the outpouring of love. “We want to say thank you,” the post reads. “From the bottom of our hearts and even further.”

The post says that Bird’s video caused hundreds of people to reach out on Facebook with encouragement. “We won’t let you down,” the post continues. “We will open our cafe [and] continue to push for our dreams with you all along for the ride.”

And the love goes both ways. In the comments section of Bird’s initial video, viewers shared how Coqui Cafe helped the local community.

“There was starving homeless people who didnt have blankets and Coqui Cafe gave them blankets and warm food and water when no one else would help,” one viewer said.

A second shared, “They worked with us for a community event and helped us feed almost 500 hungry friends in the community in December!”

‘To this song?’: Flight attendant goes out to the Fort Worth Stock Yards. Then a man asks her to dance

A flight attendant shares the story of her evening at the Fort Worth, Texas, Stock Yards. Here’s what happened and why she still loves spending time in the area.

TikTok creator and Dallas, Texas, flight attendant Morgan Gomez (@lifeofm.o) posted about the evening on Feb. 16. “Last night I went out with my friends, and I just had, like, the funniest experiences,” she says to start the video.

Flight Attendant Recounts Evening at the Fort Worth Stock Yards

Gomez and her friends stopped in at one bar when she had her first notable encounter of the evening. “This guy comes up to me. He was really cute,” she recalls. “He’s like, ‘Do you want to dance?’ I’m like, ‘Right now?’”

It might seem like an odd question, but Gomez was noting the song playing during his proposal. “You know what song was playing?” she asks, before playing “Get Low” by Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz. And why was that weird? “He wanted to like two-step,” she explains. “I’m like, ‘No.’”

The second experience involved Gomez being approached by an older man. “Old men always love to make comments on my legs because I have big legs,” she says. “And this old man comes up to me and says, ‘Did you play volleyball or soccer?’ I said, ‘Is it because of my legs?’ He was like, ‘Yeah, you’re stacked.’ Alright.”

The Series of Awkward Events Continues

The series of awkward events didn’t end there. “We go to this other bar, and this guy comes up to me and says, ‘Do you want to make out with me?’” she says. “Random. I wasn’t even making eye contact. I was like, ‘No, I’m good.’ Bold. I appreciate the boldness, but what is wrong with people?”

Gomez concludes the video by saying she doesn’t hold any of this against Fort Worth or the Stock Yards. “Overall, I had a good night,” she says. “I love going out in Fort Worth in the Stockyards.”

Viewers React to the Woman’s Experience at the Stock Yards

In the comments section of the video, viewers reacted to the series of events the woman experienced during a night out at the Fort Worth Stock Yards.

“What’s bad about dancing to that song?” asked one viewer. “That song is the most fun to dance to.”

A second viewer said, “It was cutting to you playing the song. Made me die.”

“Is it bad that I would’ve said yes to the make out,” asked another viewer. “Unless he was ugly.”

Someone else said, “Those experiences would’ve cured my itch to go out, but I’m an old guy.”

Can You Two-Step to ‘Get Low’?

Because “Get Low” has a 4/4 time signature, it is actually compatible with country music’s two-step dance, although the tempo is a bit faster than what a traditional two-stepper might expect. So the man’s request was not completely off base here.

AllHipHop contacted Gomez via TikTok comment and direct message for comment. We will update this story if she responds.

Siblings Demand $200 Million From Michael Jackson Estate Over Alleged Sexual Trafficking

Michael Jackson faces new sexual abuse accusations from four former family friends who filed a sex trafficking lawsuit against his estate.

Edward Cascio, Dominic Cascio, Marie Porte and Aldo Cascio claim the late pop star abused them for over a decade, starting when they were children.

The Cascio siblings allege Jackson “drugged, raped, and sexually assaulted each of the Plaintiffs, beginning when some of them were as young as seven or eight,” according to TMZ.

Their lawsuit targets The Michael Jackson Company for sex trafficking children by force, fraud or coercion across multiple states and countries.

Court documents reveal Jackson allegedly pushed his way into their lives with gifts and celebrity access before isolating each child from their families.

The siblings claim abuse occurred during “interstate and international trips” to Switzerland, Florida, South Africa and the United Kingdom.

Edward Cascio specifically alleges abuse happened at Elizabeth Taylor’s Switzerland house and Elton John’s United Kingdom home. The plaintiffs say Jackson normalized the abuse by showing them “pornography and pictures of unclothed children,” which he called “sweet.”

The documentary Leaving Neverland prompted the Cascios to initially seek compensation from Jackson’s estate. Each sibling received $690,000 per year for five years, but now considers that amount inadequate and wants $200 million total.

These allegations add to a decades-long pattern of accusations against Jackson that began in 1993 with Jordan Chandler’s claims.

Wade Robson and James Safechuck later filed similar lawsuits alleging childhood sexual abuse by the King of Pop.

The 2005 criminal trial involving Gavin Arvizo ended with Jackson’s acquittal on all charges. However, civil lawsuits from Robson and Safechuck were revived by California appeals courts after initial dismissals.

Jackson’s estate lawyer, Marty Singer, previously claimed the Cascios were attempting extortion when they sought to nullify their settlement last month.

The siblings are represented by Mark Geragos and Howard King in their current legal action. The estate faces a trial date in February 2027 for the Cascio lawsuit.

Teyana Taylor Joins Elite List as Time Magazine Woman of the Year 2026

Teyana Taylor just made history as Time Magazine’s Woman of the Year for 2026, and the multi-talented artist is still processing the magnitude of this recognition.

The 35-year-old creative powerhouse joins an elite list of women who are driving progress and creating positive change across multiple industries.

Time Magazine announced Taylor as one of 16 women selected for their 2026 Women of the Year list, celebrating her influence across music, film, fashion and activism.

The recognition comes during what can only be described as Taylor’s most successful year yet, with an Oscar nomination, Golden Globe win and Grammy nomination all under her belt.

The artist has expressed her ambitions beyond the current accolades, stating her desire to achieve EGOT status.

“I would love the EGOT,” she told Time Magazine. “And if I don’t get that Tony, guess what that T is gonna stand for? Teyana.”

The Harlem native earned her first Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Perfidia Beverly Hills in Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another.

Her performance in the political satire has been praised for bringing both revolutionary energy and emotional vulnerability to the screen, particularly in scenes dealing with postpartum depression and motherhood.

Taylor’s journey to this moment has been anything but conventional. The artist stepped away from music in 2020, saying she felt underappreciated, only to return with her Grammy-nominated album Escape Room in 2025.

“Everybody told me it was dumb,” she said. “And I was like, ‘No, I am going to be a great actress. One day, I am going to be a great director.’”

The project showcased her growth as both an artist and a person, drawing from her experiences with divorce, new love and personal healing.

Beyond entertainment, Taylor has been balancing an incredible workload, including attending culinary school, while managing her Oscar campaign circuit.

She’s also preparing for her feature directorial debut, Get Lite, set to begin filming in June, and planning to take Escape Room on tour later this summer.

The Time Magazine recognition places Taylor alongside other influential women, including filmmaker Chloé Zhao, Olympic champion Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone and author Mel Robbins.

Marcey Yates Navigates Grief, Flexes On His Competition On New “Vanilla Sky 2” Album

Marcey Yates has returned with his latest album, Vanilla Sky 2, another colorful chapter in the North Omaha native’s ever-evolving catalog. Clocking in at nine tracks, the project tackles a range of topics that encapsulate who Marcey Yates is.

From album opener “Basically Set” to “Hidden Gems” featuring Paris Jane to “Unscathed” and “4:14,” each song peels back the curtain to reveal the inner thoughts of a loving father, brother, nephew, award-winning MC, community activist and producer while showing off his fine-tuned ear for atmospheric, boom bap beats.

He expertly navigates grief on “Gift & Curse,” reflecting on the death of his mother at a young age, while touching on the struggles that come with being an independent artist. On the follow-up track, “Malnutrition,” Marcey flexes on the competition with lyrics like, “I’m the only one still making real hip-hop/They come and go/Now they look at me now, only one representing while these others is clowns.”

As the album begins to wind down, the tempo picks up with “S.A.O.D.” featuring BCS. Marcey mentions his father, who he also lost as a kid, and both MCs explore the madness of the digital world. The last track, “The Work Hour” featuring Marrque Nunley, firmly solidifies his position: “I inspired a whole city/Push comes to shove, I know who will ride with me,” a reminder of his impact on the Omaha creative community.

It’s been a rough road for Marcey Yates to get to a place of peace, where publicly ruminating on complex topics with so much vulnerability has become second nature. Growing up without his parents forced him to learn how to be independent and fend for himself. After four years at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, he left for Arizona in the 2000s to study music production at the Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences. Upon his return, he began pumping out albums and mixtapes as Marcey Yates, with his group The Dilla Kids and under his producer alias, Op2mus. In 2018, founded the creative hub Culxr House in North Omaha, where Black culture thrives.

“I care about the reputation that Black culture has in this city,” he says. “And I care about the reputation that hip-hop has in this city, right? I care about how what I do reflects on that, and I want that to be in a positive light.”

In 2025, Marcey joined Midtopia, a Wichita-based artist development nonprofit that provides him with label support, marketing and touring infrastructure. In November 2025, he dropped his first Midtopia project, a seven-track mixtape titled House Rules and a departure from what is heard on Vanilla Sky 2: “I’m talking s###, bruh.”

Both projects paint a vibrant picture of Marcey’s personality, allowing listeners to truly get to know the man behind the moniker. Vanilla Sky 2 is available all on DSPs. Vinyl copies are on sale here.

Nipsey Hussle’s Marathon Burger Opens Long Beach With Investment From Snoop Dogg

Nipsey Hussle’s brother will open Marathon Burger’s fourth Los Angeles County location in downtown Long Beach on Sunday (March 1).

Blacc Sam launched the restaurant chain to honor his late brother’s legacy after the rapper died in 2019.

The Pine Avenue location represents the brand’s expansion beyond its original Fairfax District roots. Blacc Sam partnered with Long Beach native Snoop Dogg and his son, Cordell, as investors in this new venture.

“Hard work, determination – Nothing is going to come easy,” Blacc Sam said. “Day by day, everybody is on their own marathon in their own life.”

The restaurant serves gourmet smash burgers featuring what he calls a special secret sauce. Marathon Burger continues the late rapper’s mission of community reinvestment through food service.

Nipsey Hussle built his brand around music and fashion before his death. His brother now carries forward that vision through the restaurant business in communities where they grew up.

“Snoop and his son Cordell introduced us to the mayor and made it easy to come to this space and to bring Marathon Burger to Long Beach,” Blacc Sam explained.

The Broadus family’s involvement helped secure the downtown location for the expanding burger chain. Snoop Dogg attended the restaurant’s opening weekend to support the venture.

“That was Hussle’s mission, to make sure people know and do not lose sight,” Blacc Sam said about continuing his brother’s community-focused approach.

The Long Beach location joins three other Marathon Burger restaurants across Los Angeles County. Each location aims to serve the communities where Hussle’s influence remains strong.

Sam chose Long Beach specifically to reinvest in areas that shaped both brothers during their youth. The restaurant represents more than food service for the family.

Marathon Burger operates as both a business venture and a memorial to Hussle’s lasting impact on Hip-Hop culture. The chain plans additional locations throughout Southern California.

The restaurant opens its doors on Sunday (March 1) with community celebration events planned throughout the weekend.

Lil Jon’s Son DJ Young Slade Died Accidentally While Using Psychedelic Drugs

Lil Jon lost his son, Nathan Smith, to drowning while under the influence of psilocybin mushrooms, according to new autopsy results.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner determined Smith’s death was accidental after his body was recovered from a retention pond near his Milton, Georgia, home on February 6.

Smith, who performed as DJ Young Slade, was 27 years old when he disappeared from his residence on February 3 under what police called “unusual circumstances.”

The Hip-Hop producer and NYU graduate had been missing for three days before divers found his body in Mayfield Park. The medical examiner’s report confirmed drowning in the setting of psilocybin use as the official cause of death.

Blood samples tested positive for psilocybin, the active compound found in hallucinogenic mushrooms, according to the autopsy. Police said Smith “ran out of his house and has been missing since” after leaving on foot without his phone.

Family and friends expressed concern for his safety when they reported him missing to the Milton Police Department.

The search expanded to include the pond near Smith’s home after initial efforts failed to locate him. Cherokee County Fire Department divers recovered the body at approximately 11:53 A.M. on February 6, with water-immersion wrinkling noted on his hands.

Lil Jon released a statement calling Nathan “the kindest human being you would ever meet” and praised his son’s talents as a music producer and artist. The rapper said Nathan was “immensely caring, thoughtful, polite, passionate and warmhearted” in his tribute to his only child.

Smith was the son of Lil Jon and his ex-wife, Nicole Smith, who divorced amicably in 2022 after 18 years of marriage. The “Yeah” hitmaker laid his son to rest on February 18, which coincided with the first day of Ramadan.

Lil Jon wrote “I love you, son. Life will never be the same without you. Allah, give me strength” in his final tribute.

Police found no indication of foul play during their investigation into Smith’s disappearance and death.

Lil Jon thanked supporters who “reached out with condolences, love and prayers” and promised to ensure “the world knows your talent and never forgets your name.”
