The Atlantic Records artist’s latest album debuted at No. 3 on Billboard 200. Come Home the KidsMissYou landed below Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti, which debuted at No. 1, and Future’s I Never Liked You, which slipped to No. 2.
Jack Harlow’s sophomore studio album sold 113,000 equivalent album units in its first week. The project generated 137.05 million on-demand official streams. It moved 8,000 pure album units and 2,000 track equivalent units.
Come Home the Kids Miss You marked Jack Harlow’s second Top 5 LP of his career. His debut album Thats What They All Say peaked at No. 5 in 2020.
Jack Harlow also returned to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. His hit single “First Class” reclaimed the No. 1 spot on the chart after falling to No. 3.
The song originally reached No. 1 in April. It was the second No. 1 hit of his career following 2021’s “Industry Baby” collaboration with Lil Nas X.
“First Class” made it back to No. 1 with 31.1 million streams and 8,000 downloads. It also received 47.9 million radio airplay audience impressions for the tracking week.
Payton Gendron, who killed 10 people at a Buffalo supermarket, stopped by the store two months before the deadly shooting.
Gendron showed up at the Tops Market in March, according to multiplereports. A white employee recalled an interaction with the mass shooter, who allegedly made racist comments to the woman about working in a predominantly Black neighborhood.
“He told me that I didn’t belong there,” Tops produce manager Rose Wisocki told Buffalo’s NBC affiliate. “I just don’t understand how he could have so much hatred in his heart for such wonderful people. The whole community is wonderful.”
Gendron, an 18-year-old white man, targeted Buffalo’s Tops Market in a mass shooting on Saturday (May 14). He shot 13 people, killing 10 of them. 11 of the victims were Black.
The gunman lived about 200 months away from Buffalo in Conklin, New York. Gendron cited the “Great Replacement Theory,” a racist conspiracy, in a manifesto uploaded before the attack.
Multiple members of Griselda commented on the shooting, which happened in their hometown of Buffalo. Benny The Butcher expressed disbelief on Twitter. Westside Gunn and Conway The Machine offered up prayers after learning about the tragedy.
“Pray for Buffalo,” Conway wrote. “My heart goes out to all the families and friends of the victims and everyone that was impacted by this senseless act of racism and violence. This is beyond unfathomable. Prayers up for my city!”

A second man was sentenced to prison for his role in the death of Mac Miller.
According to multiplereports, Stephen Walter received more than 17 years behind bars at his sentencing on Monday (May 16). A judge sentenced him to 210 months in federal prison.
Last year, Stephen Walter pleaded guilty to distributing fentanyl. The 49-year-old man was one of three drug dealers arrested for supplying fentanyl-laced pills, which caused Mac Miller’s fatal overdose.
Stephen Walter apologized to Mac Miller’s family at Monday’s hearing.
“My actions caused a lot of pain, and for that, I’m truly remorseful,” he said. “I’m not that type of person who wants to hurt anybody. That’s not me.”
Stephen Walter became the second dealer to be sentenced in the Mac Miller case. Ryan Reavis, who also pleaded guilty to distributing fentanyl, was sentenced to 131 months in federal prison in April.
The case against the third dealer, Cameron Pettit, is still pending.
Stephen Walter said he thought Cameron Pettit obtained the drugs for personal use. He claimed he was never told anything about the pills being sold to Mac Miller.
“I’m still taking responsibility for everything that happened, but [Cameron Pettit] never told me it was for another person,” he explained. “He was experienced in using those pills. I thought it was for him … And then he delivered them to [Mac Miller] with cocaine and Xanax, or whatever.”
He continued, “I was not willing to do that and had no intent to do anything else other than [sell to] Cameron Pettit. And then two days later, when there was an overdose, Cameron never called me and told me about it, that he had anything to do with him. So, I had no idea that somebody had passed.”
You gotta be extra careful going to the town of the man you beefing with. People talk. And there’s a high probability that somebody is out to get you. For Freddie Gibbs, this seems to be especially true.
We were the first media outlet to have something up on this alleged assault of Freddie Gibbs. Well, now more pictures have emerged on the attack. First of all, Gibbs has spoken out on it and he basically said it was about 20 people. And he continued on with his show later on in the night.
Also, these new pictures show that he wore a ski mask to partially cover up some of the wounds he incurred. I’m surprise he didn’t wear sunglasses because a lot of the swelling is around his eyes and upper face. It doesn’t look like anybody broke skin or anything.

Also, Gibbs outright refuted that his chain was stolen. He did seem to produce some evidence that he still had it. I mean, I just wish these guys would stop with the madness. It just is counterproductive out here.
By the way, Benny the Butcher was not a participant in this beat down, at least according to sources. Most people that I have seen talk about this online, have said that he was completely out of town at the time this all happened. This has led to speculation that it was his Black Soprano Family that actually did the deed. There’s no confirmation on that at all, but that is just what people are saying.
People that don’t like Freddie Gibbs are now making jokes. And then there are others that are saying that his wounds are pretty minor for someone that may have been “stomped out” or was just fighting 20 people.

I do not know what just happened, but a digital fight broke out on Twitter. This time, it’s between two veterans: Canibus and DJ Pete Rock. As you already know, both of these men are legends beyond measure. Pete Rock is the architect of the New York sound, along with numerous others including DJ Premier. And Bis is one of the fiercest battle rappers that the rap game has ever seen.
Recently, Canibus has seen a resurgence. He’s done a few albums and he’s done some feature appearances with people like RJ Payne. That said, he did a project, C, with Pete Rock or so we thought. On Twitter today Pete Rock said outright that he had nothing to do with the latest songs Canibus and his team put out into the marketplace. He really put the songs down completely and even explicitly stated that he has finished all interactions with the rapper. Pete’s exact words were, ““This right here sealed your fate with me.” Strong words.
Before I continue, Canibus spoke very highly of Pete Rock in our exclusive interview rooted in this new album.
So, why the big beef?
As far as I know Canibus has not responded in any way shape or form. He definitely has not said anything on Twitter regarding this issue. But his manager M80 has. This may be where the beef really lies. He refuted just about everything that Pete Rock had to say about the matter. He produced, on Twitter, receipts and correspondence between him and Pete Rock. Mainly, he shot at Pete Rock’s assertion that he had nothing to do with it. He showed that Pete Rock was paid money for his involvement with the project.
Now whether or not those are authentic, will be shown at some point I am sure.
Why? Because M 80 has now confirmed a lawsuit is on the way. He plans to sue for libel and defamation, because he says Pete has made it sound like they were nefariously misrepresenting his involvement in this latest album.
LIBEL: a published false statement that is damaging to a person’s reputation; a written defamation.
DEFAMATION: the action of damaging the good reputation of someone; slander or libel.
You might be familiar with that law. Shoot, this is what Johnny Depp is alleging in his lawsuit. It basically says you cannot maliciously disparage someone in good standing in print or verbally. Anyway this is explosive news and I hope it doesn’t take away from what Canibus has going on because he really is making some impressive strides forward with his career and his comeback. He’s a good guy!
However, Pete seems really upset that his name is attached to this project and I’m wondering why it took so long because it has been out for quite some time so we’ll have to see more. I’m just here with the popcorn at this point.

A jury has found rapper French Montana responsible for the actions of his dog, Zane. The Bad Boy recording artist lost the almost four-year lawsuit against him regarding an altercation between his German Shepherd and a man.
According to TMZ, Juan Lomeli filed a complaint against the chart-topper after being bit by the canine. Lomeli, who was working for the artist at the time, said the dog lunged at him before biting his arm — causing severe pain.
The man said his injuries were so substantial that he missed work and the big money that comes from the type of work he does and the clients he services.
A jury awarded Lomeli $129,500 in damages, breaking down his award to $60k in non-economic loss (pain/suffering, etc.), $39,500 in past economic loss, and another $30k for future non-economic loss.
This comes after French Montana has released new music.
Snoop Dogg’s suggestion that he might buy Twitter hasn’t gone unnoticed by the platform’s soon-to-be owner Elon Musk.

Last night the Billboard Awards was an amazing affair, hosted by Diddy aka Brother Love. Love had more wardrobe changes than a Broadway musical. My dude brought out all the stops last night. Even French Montana got some time in front of the millions of viewers.

Machine Gun Kelly sparked Megan Fox pregnancy speculation at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night when he dedicated his performance to “their unborn child.”

While Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers is almost certain to become Kendrick Lamar’s fourth #1 album, the initial sales for the project are below 2017’s Damn. That Pulitzer Prize-winning collection debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 with 603,000 units.

Additionally, the 53-year-old political commentator laughed at a New York Times article covering his connection to white nationalism before the shooting.
The Death Toll From Racially-Motivated Mass Shootings In The U.S. Keeps Rising
Numerous racially-motivated mass shootings have taken place in America over the last several years. In 2015, another admitted white supremacist killed 9 African-American worshippers at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in South Carolina.
In 2018, a gunman killed 11 worshippers in Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life synagogue which is believed to be the deadliest attack on the Jewish community in American history. Authorities claim the suspect spouted anti-Semitic comments during the shooting.
A year later, a man killed 23 people at a Walmart store in El Paso, Texas. That 2019 shooting is considered the deadliest attack on Latinos in modern American history. Last year, eight people, six of whom were Asian women, were gunned down at three spas or massage parlors in the Atlanta metropolitan area.

Last night, Billboard held its annual Billboard Music Awards, and Doja Cat walked out of the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas with multiple R&B awards. Those victories did not sit well with Summer Walker’s current boyfriend, LVRD Pharoh.
Summer Walker lost the Top R&B Artist, Top R&B Female, and Top R&B Album honors to Doja Cat. LVRD Pharoh took to social media to voice his frustration over Doja being in the R&B section of the ceremony.

Since her arrival on the mainstream music scene, there have been a lot of debates about how Doja Cat’s music should be categorized. Billboard has placed her songs on Pop, R&B, and rap charts. However, Apple Music lists Doja’s Planet Her album as Pop.
LVRD Pharoh returned to Instagram to add more comments about the Billboard Music Awards. He accused award shows of being rigged and posted the hashtag #quitrobbingourblackqueens.”
Apparently, that post by Pharoh riled up some Doja Cat fans. In addition to questions about her specific genre, there have also been a lot of conversations about Doja’s ethnicity. Especially, after the mixed-race performer faced backlash for taking part in alleged white supremacist chat rooms.

LVRD Pharoh Praises Doja Cat As A Pop Act
“No one is knocking [Doja Cat’s] artistry. She’s an amazing POP artist. But R&B is R&B. SZA, Summer, and Giveon should have won because they are the actual [artists] for the category!” LVRD Pharoh also argued.
He continued, “It’s not about Summer winning. It’s about respecting the culture of R&B. In the 2000s, none of this ‘pop-based music’ would have been considered R&B because it’s not that!! God bless everybody.”
For the record, RCA Records promotes Doja Cat as a multi-genre artist. A bio on the label’s website reads, “On her full-length debut album Amala [RCA Records], the Los Angeles singer, songwriter, and producer unlocks a sweetly sexy world soundtracked by wild hip-hop, twisted pop, and smoked-out R&B.”
Russ Millions has been dropping hints that a new mixtape is on the way, and now, the project is almost complete.
The U.K. chart-topping drill artist took to Instagram to give his fans the clearest hint yet that new music is imminent. Russ Millions shared a series of images, including his No.1 song plaque and MOBO Award, both of which he received for his 2021 hit song with Tion Wayne, “Body,” featuring Fivio Foreign, Bugzy Malone, Arrdee, Buni, Darkoo, E1, and ZT.
“Mixtape 99% finished🥵,” Russ Millions penned in the caption. “How many tracks do you want?” he asked his followers.
The South London rapper revealed that the success of his breakthrough hit, “Body” was his highlight of 2021. “Being number one for three weeks, going number one in the first place,” Russ millions told Viper. “The whole period of ‘Body’, 100%. Nothing’s beating that still, number one is too crazy.”
Released in March 2021, the song accumulated more than 100 million U.K. streams in a single year. Notably, it is also the first drill song to reach No. 1 in the U.K. Chart, an achievement Russ Millions saw coming for the genre. “I was happy that I was part of it, I was always doing Drill though,” he revealed. “I was never gonna stop, I always had faith in it.”
He also revealed that his debut album will follow the mixtape and is set to be a more introspective project. “I always try to make my work better than my previous work so I’m just going to try and elevate naturally. Probably with my album, I’ll tell more of a story about my life and personal things.”
Meanwhile, fans of Russ Millions don’t have to wait for the tape for new music from the drill artist. He joined Jr Choi on a transatlantic drill collaboration for the “To The Moon” Drill Remix. The song also features Chicago’s G Herbo and Brooklyn N.Y.’s Fivio Foreign, and fellow London rapper M24. Check out the visuals below.
