Bodayga Drizz Returns with Birthday Anthem “It’s Ya Birthday”

Born Juanito Ortiz of New Haven, Connecticut, he would move from simply being in the streets to making music for the streets under the alias Bodayga Drizz. His stage name combines his childhood nickname Drizze and Bodayga which he was called due to being a hustler able to sell anything for a profit. That hustler mentality has transitioned into his music career, granting him the versatility to create hits whether being hood-inspired, positive raps, party vibes, or for the females.

With his East Coast trap style being influenced by artists like Jay-Z, Nas, Tupac, Biggie, The Lox, J Cole, Lil Wayne, and Big Pun among others, Bodayga Drizz has built up a loyal following. His songs would be heard in his hometown and state on radio stations like 94.3 and hot 93.7, but Bodayga Drizz would take a step back from the music scene. After a hiatus for a few years, he has made a triumphant return with his new single “It’s Ya Birthday.”

The track came about as a song created to celebrate his birthday and the many others turning up for another year of life. “It’s Ya Birthday” has an afro type of vibe with Bodayga Drizz flowing over the beat like butter delivering catchy melodies and dope lyrics. It’s like a trance that takes control over the listener, steering their body to move with the rhythm.

Bodayga Drizz has come from the streets, enduring prison time, to return with a banger and birthday sensation. Fans have waited eagerly for this moment and have thus far only expressed compliments for the new single. Join in the celebration and stream “It’s Ya Birthday.”

Tyrone Crawford, the Christian Rapper the Industry Needed

Cleveland, Ohio native, Tyrone Crawford, came up from childhood experiences that left him with deep trauma. Living with his mother and grandmother, he was frequent to the images of the hold drugs had on his mother, while feeling the emptiness of his father’s absence. This led him down a dark path, one that nearly pushed him to commit a crime that would place him in prison for the remainder of his life. Luckily, God had other plans and used his cousin Tiffany to invite the adolescent Tyrone to church. That was the beginning of his new life. He would give his life to God and soon after adopted the stage name Yboss (Young Better Off Staying Saved) to pursue his passion for music, but with maturity, he changed his artist name to Tyrone Crawford.

His path as a Christian rapper came into being by the influences of Christian rap artist Knine and National Christian recording artist Flame. As he gained notoriety in the music scene, he would end up touring alongside Knine as his hype man and worked his way up to performing alongside national Christian rap group, The Gospel Gangstas. Tyrone Crawford would eventually enroll in the military where he served in stations like Afghanistan, Kuwait, and Honduras. This hasn’t slowed the artist’s momentum, in fact, it has given him a wider perspective on mental health which he uses to minister and uplift fans through his songs.

Fans have in turn been appreciative of his stance in the industry, charting his album at #1 on the Amazon Christian charts and on the top 100 gospel charts. Members Of Jimmy Wopo’s Gang Sent To Prison For A Long Time

Members of Jimmy Wopo’s gang are heading to prison for a long time after being accused of trying to kill rival gang members and selling drugs in Pittsburgh.

A U.S. District Judge has convicted and sentenced two members of Jimmy Wopo’s gang for committing a laundry list of crimes as a part of a federal RICO case that started in 2018.

Wopo, the rapper who was murdered three years ago, was said to have been the leader of the 11 Hunnit street gang and has been extremely influenced because of his rap career.

But despite his demise, his gang seems to have continued to break laws and terrorize, and now some will be sent away for a very long time.

Dionte Griffin and Richard Kelly, members of the Pittsburg crew were sentenced this week after pleading guilty to their charges.

The charges included racketeering that included murder, weapons/ firearms, robbery, and drug dealing.

The 26-year-old Kelly received 78 months (approximately 6.5 years) on Monday and Griffin, who is only one year younger, received a more hefty lockdown on Tuesday.

Griffin will go away for 117 months (a little under 10 years). The sentencing judge was the Honorable Cathy Bisson.According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Judge Bisson shared with the court that she had to “think long and hard” about Griffin’s sentence.

She wanted to actually give him 24 years for what she said was “breathtakingly bad” behavior. She decided not to because she believes that this will give him time to reform himself.

She said directly to Griffin, “I hope you can appreciate what a waste of time gang life has been.”

It seems that Griffin has. He told the courts that he has already started to change, claiming that he has matured in the four years since his arrest back in 2018.

He said, “I was a 21-year-old boy, now I’m a 25-year-old man.”

One proposed way to get him on the right track is for him to join a carpentry program. With this sentencing, Griffin will be in his mid-30s when he is released.

Sydney Pack, another gang member, was supposed to be sentenced along with Griffin but his date was to October. He, too, pleaded guilty. Fans wonder if had he lived, Jimmy Wopo would have been going down too.

Will Uncle Luke Run For Governor Of Florida?

Can Uncle Luke run for governor of Florida and win? That is the big question being asked all over the political sphere now. OK maybe not so much the entire political sphere, but a lot of people are asking the question. Right now, Florida is in a state of chaos! COVID-19 rates are off the charts, there seems to be no regulation in place and politically people have always given Florida the side-eye. Dare I start a list? I don’t know if the guy that coined the phrase “don’t stop / get it, get it…Let me see you doo-doo brown! “ is going to change that, but he stands a better chance than these other clowns! Can Uncle Luke of the infamous 2 Live Crew run for governor?!?

Uncle Luke made the startling claim on his IG live and asked the question: “Should I run for governor of Florida?” As you already know people that follow you on social media tend to be fans and supporters. So needless to say, everybody said he should run. Honestly? I don’t even have a problem with it. I think that Florida has been wrong on so many issues that Luke could actually do a better job than the current politicians. He also is much smarter than people give him credit for, in all reality. A true man of the people should grab the wheel and that is Uncle Luke! So I am looking forward to seeing what Unc brings to the table in the future, as it seems like our country descends into chaos, confusion, and evil!

What do you think about this?

Police Snatch Baby From Black Mother’s Hand, After Refusing To Tell Her Why

BLACK LIVES STILL MATTER!!!

A disturbing video has gone viral of a Black mother, identified as Ms. Sellers, getting her two-day-old child snatch out of her hands by at least half a dozen cops and hospital workers. As she tried to leave the hospital, the police encircled the woman and impede her exit, but were they right to use what some are calling “excessive force?”

The footage begins with a harrowing scene showing a mother in a hospital corridor attempting to leave with her newborn. In images that viewers may find distressing, the woman is surrounded and then restrained by a number of people. The video identifies them as hospital staff, law enforcement, and CPS workers.

The video shows Baby Zephaniah in his car seat being violently removed from his mother while she is not looking. As various members of the crowd restrain Ms. Sellers, one can be seen choking her. The man identified only as a “staff hospital member” places his hands around Ms. Sellers neck while she struggles to gasp for air screaming “I can’t breathe.” Ms. Sellers does not appear to be resisting restraint.  In fact, at one point, she tells them that her bag and how they are handling her is the only reason she can’t comply with one of their requests.

Once cuffed, the officers loosen their grip on Ms. Sellers, although she can still be seen with several pairs of hands holding on to her arms. The video then shows Ms. Sellers being marched down a corridor screaming, “where’s my baby?” She is then ushered into a room and told that she is being detained for being disorderly.

People are furious about the incident and have taken to social media to inform the public of the details!

“Ms. Sellers arrived at Baptist Hospital Lexington to give birth to her baby boy. Zephaniah was born without complications on May 17, 2021, at 5:06 am. She NEVER abused nor neglected her child yet, a CPS report was made by Holly Rollins, a Social Worker at Baptist Hospital,” BlackOut posted on Twitter.

“Ms. Sellers asked the CPS worker to leave her room which she was well within her right but the worker contacted security and law enforcement to detain Zephaniah at the hospital. The CPS worker had NO court order to remove Zephaniah,” the profile continued.

A petition issued on the site moveon.org, explains the details of the case. The petition is titled “Bring Zephaniah Home” and is signed by Amanda Wallace, BSW, Tafarrah J Austin, MPA, and Kimmaire Sellers.

It begins, “on May 19, 2021, at only 2 days old, Zephaniah was taken from his mother unnecessarily by the Kentucky Child Protection System (CPS).

“The events taking place in Lexington, Kentucky are alarming. A two-day-old baby was ripped from his mother’s hands without just cause by the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CPS). This mother had not abused nor neglected her child, but the Cabinet kidnapped this Newborn baby right out of his mother’s hands.”

The petition states that the reason for the removal of Baby Zephaniah stemmed from a malicious report made by hospital staff.

An update to the petition on July 19, reveals that “on July 9, 2021, CPS filed an amended petition alleging NEW grounds for the removal of Zephaniah on May 19, 2021. This proves Kentucky CPS knows their initial petition was not sufficient when it was filed on May 19. The amended petition contains more lies and fabrications in an attempt by Kentucky CPS to cover up this injustice.”

The petition details further court proceedings in the case. An adjudication hearing is set for August 13, 2021, the petition notes.

No subsequent details have been made available. The petition closes with a “Call to Action” requesting that readers, “please contact Mary Carpenter, Director of Kentucky’s Community Based Services, and demand that this child be released from custody immediately.”

“Operation Stop CPS” is documenting the case. They report that baby Zephaniah tested positive for COVID-19. They claim the baby contracted the virus while in the custody of the Fayette County Cabinet for Health and Family Services. Images also show the baby’s hair rubbed or falling out and it is alleged that the baby also has “severe diaper rash.”

This story is developing.

R. Kelly Trial Starts … His Relationship With Aaliyah Jumps Off The Trial

Court documents reveal that R. Kelly’s relationship with Aaliyah Haughton will be included in his upcoming trial.

The accused pedophile will begin his federal trial today, after years of being pushed back and delayed. The prosecution has packaged his “alleged” crimes as an enterprise, where a corporate effort (led by him and assisted by many) to undermine the liberties of young women, recruit them, exploit their labor, and much more.

The case will be held in Brooklyn, NY.

R. Kelly
R. Kelly

Maria Cruz Melendez, an assistant U.S. attorney said that “This case is about a predator.”

According to the New York Times, as she detailed how he has recruited and exploited at minimal six females (ranging from mid-teens to adulthood), she will also bring to light the deception that he underwent to marry the young singer and protégé, Aaliyah when she was 15.

The timeline that will be presented dates back to 1992, when he released his debut album, Born into the ’90s.His first single, “She’s Got That Vibe,” talks about sexy girls with an attractive vibe. One adlib says, “Little cute Aaliyah’s got it.”

Listen Here at 3:34.

Two years later, when his mentee and artist (whose name happens to be a young, small-framed, cute, and vibey 15-year-old girl named Aaliyah) released her debut album on May 24, 1994, and the title of it was called Age Ain’t Nothing But A Number. At the time, Kelly was 27 years old and actually married the minor three months later. He (and other paid associates around him) created an illegal birth certificate to receive a marriage license stating that the young lady was 18. The license stated they were married on August 30, 1994.

R. Kelly and Aaliyah’s marriage certificate, seen here in an image , was issued by Cook County, Ill., in 1994.

Once Aaliyah’s family found out about the marriage, it was annulled. Also, that was when her ties with him began to be severed. Six years later, the “Come Over” singer was killed in a tragic plane crash after leaving a video shoot in August 2001.

The other five women listed in the account are Stephanie, Sonia, Jerhonda, Zell, and Faith. The women range between 16 and 22. Only two of them appeared in the series, Surviving R. Kelly.

Kelly faces 10 years to life if convicted.

Soulja Boy Signs Chet Hanks to New Label

Soulja Boy is never out of the headlines for very long. Let him tell it and he makes history on a regular basis, and now, he’s back at it again. In his latest venture, Big Draco is teaming up with Chet Hanks after him to his record label, SODMG Records.

Chet, son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson is no stranger to going viral himself, most recently for his dangerous anti-vax rant. With the two of them teaming up, who knows what crazy viral moments they have in store!

SODMG, which stands for Stacks On Deck Money Gang, was founded by Soulja Boy way back in 2004. It looks like the rapper is focusing on the label this year and recently signed Skinnyfromthe9 and Hoodtrophy Bino. Last night, Soulja announced the addition of the controversial Chet Hanks.

In a post on his Instagram page, Soulja tells his followers, “It’s going down man. Chet Hanks man, my new artist signed to SODMG Records as the first rapper signed this year. It’s going down. Big Draco, we about to make history, you know what I’m saying? SODMG. Album on the way, just wait.”

Chet also took to his Instagram page to make the announcement. He also posted the video of him and his new boss with the caption, “JUST SIGNED TO #SODMG. JUST WAIT TO SEE WHAT WE DO NEXT @souljaboy @sodmgrecordsllc U DIGG. @stephenbelafonte1.”

The “Crank That” rapper made headlines last week after calling out “any rapper in the game” for a boxing match. Rae Sremmurd rapper Slim Jxmmi responded with “lets go run it,” prompting calls for Snoop to make it happen through his involvement with Trilla.

Drake Reveals He Secretly Had COVID-19

Everyone knows that Drake wears his heart on his sleeve, musically. Recently, he’s also taken to sporting a heart on his head or, more specifically, on his hairline.

Knowing the importance of a good haircut, the Canadian-born rapper felt the need to clarify what he viewed as a slight on his pristine image. This week, while scrolling through a Drake fan page on Instagram, Aubrey spotted a post with an image he was not a fan of!

Drake (Champagne Papi’s Official Instagram, 1/24)

A close-up image of the “Faded” rapper showed in detail the heart shape Drake had shaved into his hairline. The heart is to symbolize his upcoming album Certified Lover Boy. The account owner captioned the image with “That hair is stressed.”

Drake’s “stressed” heart

Drake didn’t take too kindly to this and responded with “I had Covid that s*it grew in weird I had to start again,” he added a “crying with laughter” emoji and said, “it’s coming back don’t diss.”

Drake asks fans not to diss his hairline.

It is unclear when the image was taken, but Drake’s hairline heart has changed shape many times since it first appeared in August last year. Any close followers of Drake’s follicles could be forgiven for thinking the rapper uses a different barber every time. Apparently not!

Drake did not say exactly when he contracted Covid-19. However, it is public knowledge that he was tested for it in March 2020.

Last week, the rap superstar was reportedly back in the studio working on his new album. Certified Lover Boy was first slated for release back in January this year. The project was delayed after the “One Dance” artist had knee surgery in fall 2020. Drake said at the time “I was planning to release my album this month but between surgery and rehab my energy has been dedicated to recovery.”

There is speculation amongst fans that Drake is waiting for Kanye West’s Donda album to drop. The two have a very public long-running feud. Some fans are convinced Drake will release his project on the same day Donda comes out.

Ludacris Talks Lil Duval Calling DaBaby “This Generation’s Ludacris”

Back in June, comedian Lil Duval sparked a lot of online discussions when he made comparisons between a prominent rap star of the 2000s and a prominent rap star of the 2020s.

“Da Baby is this [generation’s] Ludacris,” tweeted Lil Duval. Social media users had plenty to say about that hot take with many people rejecting the parallel because of the two rappers’ lyrical abilities.

Lil Duval added, “Not that I care, but when did the debate turn into who’s the most lyrical? I never compared Da [Baby’s] lyrical skills or career to Luda. That’s how y’all took it cuz that’s how y’all wanted to interpret it 😂😂😂😂😂 but continue.”

DaBaby offered his own opinion about being compared to Ludacris. Billboard caught up with the Blame It on Baby album creator at the 2021 BET Awards red carpet.

“I wouldn’t even say we’re one of the same,” said DaBaby about Ludacris. “I feel like that’s too commonly used. I think people use that too lightly. I was inspired by Ludacris’ creativity with his music videos. [I was inspired] by a lot of people. Not only people like Ludacris, but people like Nelly. I mean, everybody.”

Ludacris addressed the comparisons to DaBaby as well. The Atlanta-raised musician/actor made an appearance on The Breakfast Club, and he was asked about Lil Duval’s viral tweet.

“I saw people give him a lot of slack for that, and I was like, ‘That’s crazy.’ Because I understand where Lil Duval was coming from,” said Ludacris. “In terms of everything we’re talking about – having fun with your visuals, being playful, being slick with the lyrics, and having subliminals.”

The F9 cast member continued, “I can understand where he came from with that, but I think people were trying to compare my two decades in the game to however long DaBaby’s been in there, for like two or three years. I think he’s a great artist, and I’ve said that before, and I love the fact he said he was inspired by my videos.”

Since Lil Duval’s initial tweet, DaBaby has faced significant backlash for offensive comments he made while on stage at the Rolling Loud Miami event in July. The Charlotte-bred performer lost other festival gigs and business deals as a result of those perceived homophobic comments and his response to the backlash.

RapCaviar likes to ignite conversations about the GOATs of Hip Hop culture. This week, the popular Spotify brand questioned which production minds dominated the 2010s.

“Mike WiLL Made-It, Mustard, Metro Boomin, and ______ really ran the 2010s behind the boards. What producer is filling that 4th spot?🤔,” the @RapCaviar account tweeted on Tuesday. The post also included a photoshopped image of all three men’s imaginary jerseys hanging in the rafters.

A follow-up tweet listed Pi’erre Bourne, Wheezy, Hit-Boy, and Boi-1da as options for the final selection on the list of most-celebrated 2010s beatmakers. RapCaviar tweeted, “Locked in these top choices based on your responses. What producer do you have taking the 4th spot?👀.”

Previously, RapCaviar christened Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole as the faces of the Hip Hop Mount Rushmore for the 2010s decade. Twitter users later voted Nicki Minaj in as the fourth rapper for the accolade.

J. Cole and Drake also made the 2021 All-RapCaviar First Team along with Polo G, Lil Durk, and Lil Baby. Plus, RapCaviar picked Coi Leray, Lil Tjay, Megan Thee Stallion, Moneybagg Yo, and Pooh Shiesty for the Second Team as well as Young Thug, Tyler, The Creator, and Migos for the Third Team.

In July, RapCaviar followers bestowed another honor on J. Cole by crowning him as Hip Hop’s 2021 Most Valuable Player. “Back in Blood” rhymer Pooh Shiesty won the brand’s Rookie Of The Year award for 2021.

While he brought together a hit row of stars for his upcoming project, See You Next Wednesday is currently does not have a verse from Belly’s Roc Nation boss Jay-Z. However, the 37-year-old performer/producer did speak about the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer co-signing the album.

“I think when somebody I admired and learned from my entire life, to say something like that to me or just tell me that he’s listening, it’s not ’cause I needed validation or anything like that. This is like a full-circle moment, I really dreamt of this day. I think I manifested it about a thousand times through life, like, ‘I know Hov’s gonna hear my s###.’ And it happened, you know? That’s a special thing right there,” Belly told HipHopDX.

See You Next Wednesday follows Belly’s previous studio LPs The Revolution in 2007 and Immigrant in 2018. Over the last six years, he also released mixtapes such as Up for Days in 2015, Another Day in Paradise in 2016, Inzombia in 2016, and Mumble Rap in 2017.

DaBaby Says He Switching To R&B After Getting “Canceled” From Rap

Jonathan “DaBaby” Kirk is still dealing with the fallout from his offensive on-stage statements at Rolling Loud Miami. Numerous festivals pulled the Charlotte native from their respective lineups as a result of the backlash.

“If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of [those] deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up,” DaBaby told the Rolling Loud Miami crowd on July 25.

He added, “Ladies, if your p#### smell like water, put your cellphone lighter up. Fellas, if you ain’t sucking a n####’s d### in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up.” The 29-year-old rapper apologized twice before walking back both apologies.

DaBaby is not ignoring the negative reactions to his Rolling Loud comments. The “Rockstar” hitmaker took to his Instagram Stories on Monday to joke about the situation.

“They done canceled yo daddy twin. I’m switching to R&B, f### a rap. 😂🎤,” wrote DaBaby in the caption for the video. In the clip, DaBaby and a young girl are seen singing the chorus to J. Cole’s “Power Trip” featuring Miguel.

DaBaby was widely condemned for what he said about people living with HIV/AIDS and the LGBTQ community. Music legends Elton John and Madonna chastised him. Plus, the BoohooMan fashion brand parted ways with the Interscope recording artist.

Some other rappers came to DaBaby’s defense. Fellow southerners Boosie Badazz and T.I. backed DaBaby by mentioning openly gay performer Lil Nas X which led to some people calling both men homophobic as well.

50 Cent took a more diplomatic approach to address the situation. The Hip Hop mogul said, “[DaBaby’s] a really talented, special artist, and he just transitioned from being in that pool that everyone’s in as a rap artist… He didn’t have a publicist involved. That’s why the response took so long.”

There were reports that radio stations across the country began removing the version of Dua Lipa’s “Levitating” with DaBaby from their programming. However, the collaboration is still charting in the Top 5 of Billboard‘s weekly Hot 100 rankings.

Facebook Reportedly Deletes Hateful Comments On Lizzo’s Page

R&B/Pop singer Lizzo went viral over the last several days after she was seen crying over social media users making fun of her weight. Other artists like Cardi B and Chlöe Bailey backed up Lizzo against the online trolls.

Apparently, Facebook is stepping in to stop some of the hate directed at Lizzo. According to TMZ, negative comments are being removed from Lizzo’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

Facebook is also said to be regularly reviewing reports of hateful posts. In addition, the company is shutting down user accounts that continuously break community guidelines around hate speech, harassment, and bullying.

Lizzo became a trending topic after she talked about being cyberbullied. The digital attacks began as a response to the Grammy winner releasing her new single “Rumors” featuring Cardi B. Lizzo addressed the hate on Twitter.

“Loving yourself in a world that don’t love [you] back takes an incredible amount of self-awareness & a b####### detector that can see through ass-backwards societal standards… if u managed to love yourself today I’m proud of u. If u haven’t, I’m still proud of u. This s#### hard,” tweeted Lizzo on August 15.

Cardi B publicly supported Lizzo. The Invasion of Privacy album creator tweeted, “When you stand up for yourself they claim [you’re] problematic & sensitive. When you don’t they tear you apart until you crying like this. Whether you [are] skinny, big, plastic, they going to always try to put their insecurities on you. Remember these are nerds looking at the popular table.”

Lizzo and Cardi B’s “Rumors” is projected to debut in the Top 10 of next week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song’s music video is still the top trending content in YouTube’s music section. “Rumors” has been viewed more than 14 million times since the visuals debuted on August 13.

Lil Wayne Shares Details of Suicide Attempt Aged 12

Lil Wayne made a recent, very candid appearance on Emmanuel Acho’s “Uncomfortable Conversations’ podcast. The superstar rapper opened up about his childhood experiences and reveals a suicide attempt.

The five-time-Grammy-Winning artist told the TV host about his mental health struggles. He described an incident when he was 12 years old and shot himself in the chest.

Lil Wayne says his mental health issues go back to when he was just 10 years old. A couple of years later at the age of 12, his mother, Jacida Carter found out that he was skipping school. The fear that she would tell him to quit rapping led him to attempt to take his own life.

Wayne recounts calling the police and then getting his mother’s gun from her bedroom. He was too scared to shoot himself in the head so he shot himself in the chest, aiming for his heart. It was painless and he awoke to the police banging on the door.

He describes the relationship with his mother after his suicide attempt. “What I never said was: The mom that I knew before that day… I have never met or seen or heard that lady again in my life,” Wayne stated. “So I didn’t die that day, but somebody was gone. She’s never been that way [again].”

The rapper explains that he’s hoping to help anyone else out there who’s struggling with their mental health” by “being vulnerable” and “brave” and sharing his journey.”

Lil Wayne on “Uncomfortable Conversation with Emmanuel Acho

The New Orleans police officer who saved his life has spoken to TMZ who says the rapper has got his back for life.

Robert Hoobler, “Uncle Bob” to Lil Wayne, says he saw Weezy in 2019. Wayne told Bob if he ever needs anything all he has to do is say the word. He offered to provide Bob with financial support if he ever needed it.

Bob has never had to take up the offer. However, there is a possibility he could join Lil Wayne’s team in an administrative capacity.

Wayne says although his struggles with mental health did not disappear with money or fame, he is now in a better place, happy doing what he loves. He uses prayer to help him manage his emotions and is happiest when performing, creating, and helping people.

If you or someone you know is affected by any of the issues raised in this story or experiencing suicidal thoughts, call 911, or call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-TALK (8255) or text Crisis Text Line at 741741.

Kanye Expected to Hold Donda Listening Event in Chicago

Kanye West told us “Donda” is coming. Twice. And that was just in the last month! And yet, here we are, more than halfway through August, and the project has still not been released.

Fans initially became aware of the “Donda” project in July 2020 when Kanye first announced it. The first release date given was July 23, 2021. The album would come following both listening events at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. And though the live streams from both events broke Apple Music records, the album failed to materialize.

Now, according to Apple Music, “Donda” is coming this Sunday, August 22.

There are now signs of a third release event, this time in Ye’s hometown, Chicago. Yesterday, Fake Shore Drive founder Andrew Barber tweeted, “Donda listening party in Chicago”

The responses, presumably from disappointed fans of the rapper, were hilarious!

Another tweet this time from a user who is claiming to work at Soldier Field in Chicago has garnered a little more interest. His tweet read “I work for security at soldier field and we recently had an event added under “major concert event” and I’m very confident that it’s for Kanye’s listening party. If it’s true, then Kanye will be performing in Chicago at soldier field on the 26th.”

Fans are no doubt tired of waiting for a date that never seems to arrive. However, one fan has taken that idea to its extreme in a bizarre fan theory that is gaining traction.

The post first appeared on a subreddit page under the title “[Theory] Kanye Wants To Make The First Official Unreleased Album.” The user suggests Kanye’s concept with donda is an album that has materialized itself into existence without being officially released.”
