Kendrick Lamar is reportedly shooting a video for the song that ended his epic battle with Drake, “Not Like Us.”
On Monday (June 17), Reggie Wright of the Bomb 1st podcast claimed that Kendrick Lamar is doing “something big, big in Compton.”
Wright added, “If I was y’all I would hang around Compton. I might get in trouble for saying that but they doing something major in Compton this Saturday.”
Although he gave little away, Wright hinted K. Dot will be filming a music video. “Y’all might get to be a star. Especially the young ladies that like to be in videos,” he said. pgLang’s Euro Luxxk is said to have confirmed the shoot.

Earlier this month, Lamar explained the significance of his hometown during his surprise appearance at the 2024 commencement ceremony at Compton College.
“This is where I’m from.’ I still believe in Compton, Compton always been a future for me,” the Grammy-winning rapper told the crowd. “I think we breed some of the most incredible individuals: creatives, intellectuals, talent. We had it since day one, that’s why I always screamed this city. I traveled the world, there’s no place like this one right here. No place.”
Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” debuted at No. 1 and has surpassed 300 million streams since its release. The song was arguably the biggest to come out of his feud with Drake and has had fans quoting lines like “freaky-ass n####, he a 69 God” and “OV-ho,” ever since.
Meanwhile, Lamar is gearing up to take to the stage for The Pop Out: Kendrick and Friends. The show is a special Juneteenth concert at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, on June 19.
Tickets are now sold out, but fans can watch the concert live on Prime Video and the Amazon Music Twitch channel. The livestream will start at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
Rick Ross had more than one reason to celebrate this past Father’s Day weekend as his child support commitment came to an end. However, the mother of his eldest son claims he will be making payments into his seventies.
On Monday (June 17), the MMG honcho took to Instagram Live to rejoice over his final payment.
“What would you rather celebrate, Father’s Day or the date of your last child support payment?” Ross questioned. “Or, what if your last child support payment was on Father’s Day weekend? That’s what you call divine divinity.”
However, his son William Roberts III’s mother, Tia Kemp, received a message from a friend informing her of Rick Ross’s celebrations, prompting Kemp to rain on his parade.
“I came over here to cuss a b#### out,” she began. “You stupid silly muthafucka. Who the f### give a f### about your child support payments, b####. And if I want some more, I’ll take my ass over to family court and get some while he going to college.”
Furthermore, Kemp implied Ross has multiple other children and will be paying child support for decades. “You got to worry about them eight or nine over there you got,” she added. “You going to be paying child support for [them] ‘tlll you about 70.”
Earlier this year, Ross called Kemp his “biggest op” in his verse on Future and Metro Boomin‘s “Everyday Hustle.” Kemp clapped back, claiming Ross was hiding a secret love child who looks like Drake.
“You oughta rap about your muthafuckin children you around here hiding,” she said. “I want to see my stepson that look like Drake.”
50 Cent may be following in Tyler Perry’s footsteps, expanding his entertainment empire with his G-Unit film and television studios, but Fiddy’s making clear they aren’t rivals.
G-Unit Studios in Shreveport, Louisiana, reportedly became the second-largest Black-owned production studio in the world after Perry’s Atlanta studio. However, this doesn’t mean the executives are at odds. In fact, according to 50 Cent, it’s the opposite.
On Monday (June 17) 50 Cent took to Instagram with a clarification after The Root published a headline that read, “50 Cent Gearing Up To Be A Tyler Perry Rival?” he shut down the notion in no uncertain terms.
“Yes,” he began before adding a trio of clapping emojis. “I’m doing great but you’re getting it fvcked up, if you think me and Tyler will be at odds at any point. He’s helping me, already going out of his way to aid my progress. So in the nicest way cut the s### !”
Earlier this month, 50 Cent opened up about his relationship with Perry during a celebration of the 10-year anniversary of the original Power show in New York.
“So I talked to Tyler on my way here,” 50 Cent told the crowd. “Tyler is no joke. He’ll f### you up if you think he ‘Madea.’ He don’t talk to me like that. I don’t know if he’s tougher when I’m he’s talking to me, but it just feels like I can learn some things from him.”
Furthermore, 50 Cent revealed his plans to work with Perry to help elevate into a “premium space,” in the industry.

Lil Yachty may have just brought the “art imitates reality” fallacy to life based on one of the wildest episodes of Donald Glover’s Atlanta series and his recent decision to bring viral rapper Ian to the stage.
A number of memorable moments came out of Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash in Chicago over the weekend. One of the biggest takeaways from the festival, outside of Chief Keef’s return to The Windy City, was Lil Yachty’s apparent co-sign of newcomer Ian.
Brought to the stage to perform his trending single “Figure It Out,” Ian paid homage to the Concrete Boys leading man by recreating the walkout Lil Yachty went viral for at the 2021 iteration of the festival. Apparently, Lil Yachty was feeling it, too, because he even stopped Ian mid-verse and made him run the record back once more. Not to mention, the clip went viral on social media, garnering more than three million views on one of the clips shared on Twitter (X) alone.
And while it all seemed like a definitive passing of the torch moment, a fan theory floating around on the platform has likened the occurrence to the infamous “Young White Avatar (YWA)” episode from Glover’s thrilling dramedy, Atlanta.
“Yachty really got himself a Young White Avatar Donald Glover called this on ‘Atlanta’ a couple years ago lmao,” the Twitter (X) user wrote in the post.
As explained in the season four episode of the series, the “YWA” is essentially a young white artist that successful Black artists are expected to pivot and leverage toward the latter half of their careers.
The main idea driving the literary device of tragic irony at the core of the plot of this episode is that even though the Black artist is authentically a student of the game, the cycle of pop culture will dictate that they will need to embrace a YWA—or young white avatar—to reach broader mainstream audiences as the grow older.
It’s either that or become obsolete, as the sobering yet humorous scene from Atlanta attempts to explain as Paper Boy sits in on a YWA info session led by an older Black male music industry executive.
“Everybody in this room can rap their ass off, but if rapping meant you made money, Cassidy would be a millionaire,” the instructor barks at Paper Boy and the other rappers in the scene.
While it could be too deep, the theory does shed an interesting light on Lil Yachty’s iconic walk-out video and his influence, overall. The original clip of Lil Yachty has collectively amassed millions of views since it began circulating on the internet over three years ago. One primary upload alone has garnered over four million views on YouTube. And the video has also gone viral on TikTok and Instagram, and as of late, has bled into the stratosphere of professional sports with multiple edits and memes adding to its popularity.
The latest trend, being AI-generated remakes of the clip, has featured the likeness of several major public figures such as Deion Sanders and more. However, it is without a doubt that Ian’s remake, no matter how uncoordinated and or unseasoned it may have been, has undoubtedly breathed new life into the lore of the clip.
Russ is confident rising Virginia artist Tommy Richman is more than just a one-hit wonder and recently laid out his opinion on why he believes his take.
Taking to Twitter (X) on Monday (June 17), Russ broke down why he believes the “Million Dollar Baby” architect will transcend his hallmark hit despite criticism circulating about his authenticity as an artist. In his initial remark—sparked by his reaction to the announcement of his upcoming debut album COYOTE—Russ cites Richman’s decisiveness as a factor that he feels is important to longevity for any artist with a viral hit on their hands.

Russ’s comments come after audio of Funkmaster Flex slamming “Million Dollar Baby” during a radio broadcast made its way to social media. In the clip, the 56-year-old New Yorker also blasted Richman’s fans.
“If you’re someone that likes this song, you are a clown,” Funkmaster Flex said. “I don’t know what the rest of his songs sound like. I don’t even know who Tommy Richman is. Sounds like a shoe store.
“Now we’re gonna document this hot garbage. We’re gonna play it now, I know you want to hear it. I wonder if this is big in the club. See this part is deceiving like it might be a good song.”
With or without the approval of either Russ or Funkmaster Flex, it’s clear Richman is making good use of the momentum he’s snowballed into since his hit single began taking over airwaves. Richman’s “Million Dollar Baby” peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 chart.
The track amassed more than 372 million Spotify streams. Richman’s latest release, “Devil Is A Lie,” has already racked up more than four million Spotify streams since its June 14 release and underscored his meteoric rise as his monthly listeners on the streaming platform currently topples more than 48 million users.
Playboi Carti stirred up dating rumors by posting Yung Miami on his Instagram Stories. Playboi Carti fans flooded Yung Miami’s Instagram account with comments after he shared her photo on Monday (June 17).
Fans wildly speculated about a romance between the two. Social media users tried to connect the dots to Playboi Carti’s collaborator Lil Uzi Vert, who’s in a relationship with City Girls member JT.
Yung Miami’s name was dragged back into the rumor mill after she faced months of backlash for her past romance with Diddy. She was named in one of the many lawsuits against the disgraced mogul. Producer Lil Rod accused her of being a sex worker and transporting pink cocaine for Diddy.
Playboi Carti was no stranger to dating a fellow rapper. He was previously in a relationship with Iggy Azalea, the mother of his first child. They broke up in 2020. Years later, Iggy Azalea claimed her ex was a serial abuser.
“Imagine having a pregnant girlfriend and pretending they don’t exist until it comes out you like to abuse them too – & rarely visiting your actual son unless [it’s] because you’re running from whatever problems ya got going on in Atlanta & the press with your serial abuse of [women],” Iggy Azalea wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter).
Iggy Azalea discussed her “volatile” relationship with Playboi Carti in a 2023 interview with Emily Ratajkowski. The Australian rapper recalled one dispute that resulted in her leaving him for good.

Wiz Khalifa celebrated Father’s Day with a major announcement on Sunday (June 16). The 36-year-old rapper revealed his girlfriend Aimee Aguilar is pregnant with a baby girl.
“Baby Girl On The Way,” he wrote on Instagram.
Aguilar used the same caption to share several maternity photos on her Instagram account. Wiz Khalifa’s ex-girlfriend Amber Rose, the mother of his son Sebastian, showed her support in the comments of both posts.
“We can’t wait to meet her!” Rose wrote on Wiz Khalifa’s post.
Rose praised Aguilar as a “gorgeous mama” in a comment on the maternity photos.
Wiz Khalifa’s baby girl will be his first child with Aguilar, whom he’s been dating for roughly five years. The baby will be his second child.
Earlier this year, Wiz Khalifa discussed fatherhood on the Call Her Daddy podcast. The weed-loving artist admitted he got high before attending his son’s parent-teacher conferences.

Chrisean Rock was sentenced to 30 days in jail for assault with a deadly weapon without a firearm on Friday (June 14). The reality TV star/rapper learned her fate for the misdemeanor charge in California while awaiting extradition to Oklahoma.
Police arrested Chrisean at a Los Angeles County court on June 10. She went to the courthouse to support Blueface, the father of her child, as he dealt with his own legal issues.
Chrisean was apprehended on a felony fugitive warrant out of Oklahoma. She was wanted for a probation violation in a drug case. An Oklahoma judge sentenced her to a few years of probation for drug charges in 2023.
Blueface’s manager Wack 100 told fans he could not post bail for Chrisean. Authorities placed a no bail hold on her in the Oklahoma case. Chrisean remained in a waiting game until her extradition to Oklahoma.
“I think within the next 30 days, they got 45 days to transport her,” Wack 100 said in an Instagram video. “If they come get her … they’ll fly her over there. So, the faster she gets over there, the faster she’ll be home. It’s not like she’s gonna do some years, be incarcerated for a long time.”
He continued, “The minute you hear Rock is in Oklahoma, [she’s in] custody. Probably within 10 days of that, best case, she’ll be home. Or the judge might give her a little time: months, couple of months, whatever they do. Either way, we’ll see her before Christmas. We’ll see her before the summer’s up. She’ll be alright … She’s in the same situation Blueface is in.”
According to Los Angeles County jail records, Chrisean was placed in the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California. Blueface landed behind bars at the Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles.
A New York judge sentenced Bishop Lamor Whitehead to nine years in prison plus three years of supervised release on Monday (June 17). The so-called “Bling Bishop” was ordered to pay $85,000 in restitution and forfeit $95,000.
Whitehead was convicted of wire fraud, attempted wire fraud, attempted extortion and making false statements to federal law enforcement agents in March. Prosecutors sought a 12-year sentence.
“I don’t see any remorse for your conduct,” Judge Lorna Schofield told Whitehead at his sentencing.
Whitehead, a controversial preacher with ties to New York City Mayor Eric Adams, scammed one of his parishioners and extorted a businessman. The “Bling Bishop” convinced a woman to give him $90,000 by promising to help her buy a home. Instead, he used the money for luxury items and personal expenses. He extorted $5,000 from a businessman and tried swindling another $500,000 from the same person by touting his connections to Adams.
“As the U.S. Attorney’s office said when they brought this case, the defendant ‘knew he could not obtain’ favors from city government,” a spokesperson for the mayor’s office told CNN in March. “With [his conviction], that was proven right.”
Whitehead first gained notoriety as the victim of a robbery at his church in July 2022. He was arrested on fraud charges in December 2022.
“Lamor Whitehead is a con man who stole millions of dollars in a string of financial frauds and even stole from one of his own parishioners,” Manhattan U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said in a statement. “He lied to federal agents, and again to the Court at his trial. Today’s sentence puts an end to Whitehead’s various schemes and reflects this Office’s commitment to bring accountability to those who abuse their positions of trust.”

Latto is opening up about her decision to get a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) early in her career, claiming she felt pressured after receiving hateful comments from internet trolls.
The “Sunday Service” hitmaker has been upfront about her surgical procedures over the years. Latto admitted to getting a BBL and liposuction in 2020 as well as breast enhancement. However, she now sees things differently with the benefit of hindsight and wishes she could turn back the clock.
“Girl I don’t even f###### know. My body was so tea,” she replied to a fan who asked why she got a BBL. “I was 20 about to be 21 when I signed my deal and I was just having money and living a whole new life.”
With her new deal, Latto had “the funds to feed this foodie in me,” and “gained a little weight.” However, after putting on a few pounds, Latto began receiving cruel comments from trolls online, which “played a role” in her decision to get a BBL.
“I started being a little insecure about my body I guess,” she explained. “I was just young and impressionable.”
However, Latto now feels the surgery was unnecessary. “Looking back like, ‘B####, I didn’t need that.’ Now them same people mad I got a BBL, so it’s like you can’t win,” she added. Latto also admitted that she “hates” her boob job, calling the procedure “my biggest regret.” Ultimately, Latto believes people should “love your natural body.”

AllHipHop.com: Tell me about your movement and what made you start it?
Doc: Financial Literacy has been a lifelong journey for me. I may be Dr. Marlon “Doc” Fuller now, but I wasn’t always. I started with very humble beginnings and was living in the inner city below the poverty line for much of my childhood. When I graduated high school I was living in a trailer park outside of Houston, Texas with only the money I had saved from working odd jobs since the age of 10 to support myself. I am one of 13 siblings and was the first to graduate college, let alone get my Doctorate, which I received in 2004 from the University of Connecticut. I had my first child at 21 years old while I was still in college, but I was determined to never go back to being poor again.
Most importantly, I wanted the same for my newborn girl, Autumn, as well as my future family, so I spent a lot of time educating myself on financial literacy and surrounding myself with mentors and experts in the field. It was always important for me to show up in the community as someone I wish I had growing up because I lacked so much guidance that could have set me up better in life. Not having a father in my life for 9 years and losing 3 brothers before graduating college truly impacted me. I wanted to make those life circumstances have meaning by using that pain for purpose. Fast forward to today, my 4 kids, my wife Christina, and I now teach young people about saving, investing, real estate, budgeting, wealth creation and money management through our non-profit, Coolkids.org.
AllHipHop: Give me your elevator pitch to a Gen Z or Gen Alpha on why financial literacy is important.
Doc: Financial literacy is something they don’t teach you in most schools but will be one of the most important factors in your future success and security, as well as the future success and security of your children’s children. Financial literacy is about being an owner and not a consumer. It’s about owning Nike stock over Nike shoes. It’s the difference between playing Xbox games or owning Microsoft stock which makes Xbox.
Being financially literate is just as much about owning real estate and businesses as it is about giving back to the community and leaving a legacy. It’s knowing the more you learn, the more you earn and understating compound interest which Einstein called the 8th wonder of the world. Financial literacy is making $1.1 million from investing $1 per day in stocks at 10 percent for 60 years versus having $25,000 saved in the bank doing the same thing but only making 0.5 percent interest on your money. Being financially independent as an adult starts with making wise decisions as a kid. This gives the youth the advantage of time which puts them leaps and bounds above the rest.
AllHipHop: Why did you decide to use Hip-Hop as a vehicle? Why not pop or another genre?
Doc: I utilize Hip-Hop predominantly in my music as it is cross-cultural and culturally influential. I wanted to impact millions to decrease the wealth gap and it’s the perfect vehicle for my target audience. I have been a hip-hop fan and music lover my whole life, and I felt it was time for a melodic renaissance to uplift the messages that the youth are ingesting. I believe what we watch and listen to is just as important as what we eat or drink and I got tired of waiting for someone else to create what I knew was needed. I also wanted to partner with seasoned musicians and give them a platform to showcase their Hip-Hop talents, and their knowledge of finance and business, while also making a positive impact on culture and communities. To my knowledge, I’m the first person in history with their doctorate to put out a Hip-Hop album, or any album for that matter. I hope that in itself inspires the youth to dream big and never stop making progress towards their goals especially when walking in their purpose.
AllHipHop: You are working with some real rappers. King Los is an incredible talent and phenomenal lyricist. He really shows the vision of how to balance corny versus educational in “How I Do That.” Were you conscious of that balance?
Doc: King Los is one of the goats and to have him on the project is an honor. I told him what the goal of the project was and he was like let’s make it happen. He will be on my upcoming album, The Syllabus – Sophomore Year, along with features from Kap G, Jadakiss, The Game, Shyheim, and more. My first album, The Syllabus – Freshman Year which I released in November 2022 had some legends too with features from T.I., Keith Murray, Mickey Factz, Translee, PBD Grey, WBNA champion Essence Carson and more. A lot of today’s music has been hijacked by low frequency content that is many times negative and counterproductive. I think much of the content being pushed by record labels is corny and lacks originality or purpose but negativity and drama sells so labels and artist run with it. Fans are increasingly questioning what’s in it for them. The movement is happening and The Syllabus albums are foundational when we look at changing the paradigm and creating a new genre of financially empowering music called EduTainment. Shout out to KRS One who was the first person I ever heard say that word.
AllHipHop: You include your daughter as well. How does that work? Does she want to rap?
Doc: My 11 year old daughter, Layla Sol, is a beast! She is brave, very business-minded, and has a heart of gold. She is very personable and enjoys being in front of people. Naturally, she enjoys talking about Financial Literacy work and has represented CoolKids.org and Jar TV at financial literacy events and festivals around the country. My 13-year-old son Dylan and 8-year-old daughter Charlotte, were also really interested in the music when we started recording the first Syllabus album and would memorize all of the lyrics. They wanted to get involved with the music too, so they did background vocals on the first album and have features on the second. You can hear their solo debut on Stand on Business which is the first single from my album coming this spring called The Syllabus- Sophomore Year. I’m biased but I truly believe their track is the greatest kids song of all time as it’s entertaining, educational, and empowering.
AllHipHop: Who else are you working with?
Doc: Outside of music, we still educate kids virtually on CoolKids.org. Sometimes, we collaborate with celebrities to help us teach. Our biggest class was with T.I. which had almost 1,000 kids on Zoom getting financial literacy gems from him for almost an hour. If you listen to my song, Time, Effort & Energy featuring T.I. then you’ll hear a snippet of that virtual Zoom call. To date, my wife Christina and I have educated over 22K kids nationwide on financial literacy.
We also have the world’s first youth-based financial literacy TV app called JAR which streams over 600 videos in both English and Spanish. We launched it in 2022 and it is allowing us to reach the masses. Think NetFlix but financial literacy for kids in Kindergarten through college.
AllHipHop: Tell me about the album and what’s the next look like.
Doc: My second album is called The Syllabus – Sophomore Year and it will go deeper into financial literacy but keeps at its core the G-rated lessons that listeners can learn from. We are bringing this new genre of music to schools, businesses, churches, after-school programs, and households worldwide. Our goal is to reach millions of kids worldwide and plant seeds that will reap benefits for generations to come. I’ve been listening to music for decades and I can honestly say that my songs are some of the greatest music ever created especially from an educational perspective.
There are no curse words, negative imagery, or drama on the album. It’s something new that you have to experience to understand. I will eventually put out four albums total all the way to The Syllabus – Senior Year.
Diddy’s son, Christian Combs, is getting roasted over his Father’s Day post after waiting until late into the night to celebrate the fallen mogul.
On Sunday (June 16), families across the country paid tribute to fathers for the annual celebration. However, Christian Combs held back his tribute until the wee hours, posting a Father’s Day message to Diddy in the middle of the night.
He posted a carousel of images with his father alongside a brief caption. “HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO THE GREATEST!! Love you pops !” he wrote.
Many in the comment section clowned Christian for posting Diddy so late on Father’s Day.
“Bro had to sneak this s### in there a day later during grave shift,” one person wrote while another joked, “You thought everybody was sleep.”
Some shared their surprise that Christian kept the comments enabled, while others defended him.
“Diddy is dad to him, not Diddy,” another person said. “He is Diddy to you all but to him he is just a father. As bad as he could be, he will remain a father to King Combs. Even serial killer dads still get love from their kids.”
Meanwhile, Diddy faced fresh assault allegations last week. Singer-songwriter Niykee Heaton accused both Diddy and Kanye West of sexually assaulting her in 2014.
Last month, Christian Combs, who also faces a sexual assault lawsuit, fired back at Diddy’s critics, including 50 Cent, on a diss track. Fiddy responded, trolling Combs over the lawsuit, prompting Meek Mill to defend the 26-year-old.
Kai Cenat slammed fans criticizing his appearance at North West’s birthday party over the weekend.
The daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian turned 11 on June 15 and celebrated with a party at the American Dream mall in New Jersey. In addition to the rollercoasters, swimming pools and ski slopes at the bash, partygoers were treated to a special guest appearance from the Twitch streamer.
However, some objected to the 22-year-old’s presence at the party, suggesting it was inappropriate. Cenat caught wind of the backlash and rejected the criticism in a livestream on Sunday (June 16). Addressing “everybody who made yesterday weird,” Cenat hit back at the critics.
“Here’s the thing, first things first bro…I am North’s favorite streamer bro, okay? So, yesterday, all she wanted to do was meet me, bro. That was it. Literally,” he began. “So, anybody who’s making it weird like, that’s the weirdest thing ever.”
He continued, claiming he has lots of young fans, and would meet them all if he could. “You feel what I am saying? We had a great time yesterday,” he added. “She’s great, bro. She has a good group of friends around her, like, everything was great.”
Kai Cenat also met Kim Kardashian at North’s birthday and said the event was “epic.”

While Kai Cenat had a great time with North West, he recently got into a spat with her famous father over a pair of Yeezy sweatpants. Ye was furious and branded Cenat an “industry plant” after Cenat unboxed the pants live on his stream and joked over the size he received. Nonetheless, they eventually made amends following a tense exchange after West sent him a pair that fit.
Icewear Vezzo and Peezy supported Donald Trump on his visit to Detroit over the weekend as he campaigned in the city he once called a “living hell.”
Trump surprised the pastor of 180 Church, a predominantly Black church on the outskirts of the city, staging a roundtable to court Black voters. Footage showed Sada Baby, Peezy and Icewear Vezzo supporting Trump at the event, which attracted a majority white crowd.
During a speech, Trump said crime was “most rampant here, in African-American communities,” per Reuters. He also claimed that the “Black population wants law enforcement more than any other.”
Peezy and Icewear Vezzo faced backlash after posting photos with Donald Trump on Instagram.
“Can anybody explain why they so mad?” Peezy wrote on Instagram alongside a pic with Trump. “I thought we was free to vote for whoever we want?? What’s the problem? Does everybody have to be a follower? Do yall hate free thinkers?”
One person replied with a list of all the reasons to be mad about Donald Trump, including his ties to white supremacists.
Meanwhile, Icewear Vezzo explained the controversial meeting, claiming, ”not many of us will ever have the chance to really speak up for us.” He added, “the only way to attempt change things is to address things.”
Peezy previously voiced his support for Donald Trump earlier this year. He tried to get his hands on a pair of Trump’s$400 gold sneakers while blasting President Joe Biden.
“I’m tying to find my n#### Donald Trump’s gym shoes, man,” he said in an Instagram video. “The Trump 1s, man. If anybody got them b###### in 13, call me. F### Joe Biden, I’m rocking with Trump. F### Kamala Harris.”
Fat Joe is continuing to heap praise on Chris Brown, likening him to Michael Jackson while questioning why the singer is still stigmatized for violently assaulting Rhianna in 2009.
“If Chris Brown never got into the controversy with Rihanna we would be calling him Michael Jackson right now,” Fat Joe declared during an Instagram Live chat over the weekend. “He is the most talented singer, artist, performer, hit maker of our time. There’s nobody even close to Chris Brown, and it’s time we move past it.”
According to Fat Joe, who recently likened Breezy to Tupac Shakur, while fans are “scared” to support Brown, “the streets” are on his side.
“When the truth is an unpopular decision, everybody gets scared to say it. They get canceled, especially famous people. But you know the streets they know what it is. Streets always know, they tell you the truth,” he added. “The streets still bumping R Kelly. He’s in jail, he did terrible things.”
“It’s a shame that we lying and we not giving it up to the king of R&B … We be thinking he could battle Michael Jackson, that’s all I’m trying to say. I’m not lying. If you really look at his body of work and you look at all his hits you see what he does.”
Although Fat Joe claimed “there’s no more incidents” of violence surrounding the singer, Brown’s former partner Karrueche Tran sought a restraining order against him in 2017, accusing him of domestic abuse. Brown has also faced other accusations of violence and sexual assault.
Fat Joe insisted he does not “condone” Brown’s assault on Rihanna and said he is “here to protect the queens.”

While some agreed with Fat Joe, dubbing Chris Brown the “King of R&B,” others rejected the comparison to the King of Pop.

50 Cent and Busta Rhymes proved they can laugh at their own expense after playfully trolling each other.
The Hip-Hop legends showed off their playful side on Sunday (June 16), roasting each other to plug the entertainment mogul’s upcoming comedy festival. Chief troll, 50 Cent kicked off the jokes, posting a throwback photo of Busta Rhymes from the 1999 VMAs. “Busta can nor wear This to Humor Harmony,” 50 Cent wrote on the pic.
In the pic, Busta dons a yellow leather halter-top and pants set, in-keeping with the futuristic, space-inspired looks of the pre “Y2K’ era.

“You Crazy as Hell,” Busta Rhymes replied in the comment section before hitting back at 50 Cent with his own post.

Chief Keef lit up the stage on his return to Chicago at Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash, his first performance in the city in over a decade.
The Chicago rapper hasn’t performed in the city since 2012, so the anticipation was high for his headline set. On Sunday (June 16), the crowd lit up when Chief Keef returned to the stage to close out the festival.
The Summer Smash crowd was also treated to his first-ever hometown performance of his classic hit “Faneto.” Chief Keef also turned his set into a Father’s Day celebration, performing with his daughter while G Herbo and his young son joined them onstage.

Chief Keef discussed his monumental return to Chicago earlier this year, admitting, “it’s gonna be like I’m a tourist when I go there” during an interview for GRAMMY.com.
“It’s been a long, long time. It’s been like 11, 12 years since I touched the pavement in Chicago, or Illinois, period. I’m ready. I know it’s going to be a big thing. A lot of new people probably think I’m a ghost,” Chief Keef explained.
“So a lot of people are going to be excited, just knowing I’m from there and I ain’t been there in so long. People that’s not in even Chicago — all them surrounding cities gonna show up [too], because Sosa has not been home. And they know it’s gonna be big,” he added.
Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ performance of “Empire State of Mind” at the 2024 Tony Awards had fans wondering if Lil Mama was gonna show up and crash the stage like she infamously did at the 2009 VMAs.
Lil Mama was trending on Sunday (June 16) after Keys teased an upcoming Jay-Z collab. “1 Billion streams Thank you! We love you. What’s next,” Keys wrote alongside a video teaser.
However, social media users flooded the replies with Lil Mama memes. “A Lil Mama Collab???” one person wrote alongside an edit of the video featuring Lil Mama alongside Jay—Z and Alicia Keys.

While Lil Mama did not repeat the stage invasion, she responded to the trolling. The Harlem native insisted she’s “part of the reason” for the song’s success and some agree with her.
“This is Lil Mama’s song,” a fan wrote. “And she aint got a bar on it. Whenever I hear this I dont think about anything except for that Lil Mama moment. For the whole duration of the song.”

Lil Mama has spoken about the iconic television moment over the years, most recently in March this year. “I was hurt, I was depressed,” she shared. “I was like, ‘What’s going on?’ You got everybody telling you you’re doing bad. People pointing at you like, ‘What did you do?’”
Meanwhile, in 2021, Jay-Z said “That’s our sister. Man, we love her. I wouldn’t recommend people just jumping on other artists’stage, but we don’t wish her no harm.”
Nas has announced the classic 1984 Hip-Hop film Beat Street is being adapted for the Broadway stage. The news came during the 40th anniversary screening of Beat Street at the Tribeca Film Festival over the weekend, and Nas could hardly contain his enthusiasm.
“Beat Street wasn’t just a film—it spread the revolution of Hip-Hop culture throughout the country and the world,” Nas said in a statement. “It left an indelible mark, inspiring generations of young artists and creating new Hip-Hop fans alike. It’s a thrill for me to join the creative team of Beat Street, bringing the raw energy of Hip-Hop into the fabric of Broadway. It’s an honor to breathe new life into this iconic work and celebrate its enduring legacy.”
The musical adaptation is being produced by industry veterans Arthur Baker and Michael Holman, both of whom played significant roles in the original film’s creation, along with Harry Belafonte and director Stan Lathan.
According to Deadline, the production team is committed to maintaining the authenticity and spirit of the Hip-Hop culture that Beat Street depicted.
For those unfamiliar, Beat Street is a drama set in the Bronx, focusing on the emerging Hip-Hop culture of the ’80s. It highlights the art forms of rapping, breakdancing, DJing, and graffiti art, known for showcasing the early days of a movement that has since taken the world by storm.
The film’s plot centers around an aspiring DJ, a graffiti artist, breakdancer and composer, whose lives intertwine amid a backdrop of New York City’s gritty streets.
It featured performances from legendary Hip-Hop artists such as Kool Herc, Grandmaster Melle Mel and The Furious Five, The Treacherous Three, Lisa Lee, Debbie Dee and MC Sha-Rock (Us Girls), Doug E. Fresh, The New York City Breakers and The Rock Steady Crew, offering an authentic reflection of the era.
Produced by Belafonte, Beat Street aimed to elevate Hip-Hop culture to mainstream audiences—and succeeded—and drew inspiration from real-life stories and figures within the early Hip-Hop scene, even though it was fictionalized. A premiere date as yet to be announced.
Singer-songwriter Niykee Heaton has accused both Diddy and Kanye West of sexual assault, alleging bystanders watched and took no action to prevent the incident.
In a lengthy Instagram Live, Heaton recalled the alleged 2014 occurrence took place when she was 19, following the success of her song “Bad Intentions” featuring Migos and OG Parker.
According to Heaton, she soon received a late-night invite to connect with Diddy and West in the recording studio, which she accepted. Upon arriving tot he studio, Heaton claims she met Diddy and West, who were with three other men, one of which was Ye’s cousin, in addition to at least nine other women she called “studio hoes.”
She alleges she was immediately offered a drink, which she claims was laced, and says things began to take a turn for the worst when everyone except Diddy, West and the other three men left the studio. Heaton then claims the assault began once Diddy and West demanded she take her clothes off.
“They were like, ‘c’mon! It’s just us, we’re all just friends lets just see how you look,'” Heaton said in part. “I still haven’t gotten scared yet. I’m like, this is a bad situation, I’m creeped out, but there’s no reason to panic. There are other men here.”
Heaton continued, alleging that after she refused to remove her clothes, both Diddy and West forced themselves on her and began taking off her clothes without her consent.
“This is the part that for long as I live I’ll never f###ing forget,” Heaton said. “It isn’t actually the aspect of being sexually assaulted. That’s not what haunts me…i’s as these two grown men were pawing at me trying to take my clothes off, I look over to this man asking for help, and I literally mouth the word ‘help’ and we lock eyes, and he looks away.”
Heaton says the attack left her devastated, claiming that once she managed to escape, she “sat there for like 20, 25 minutes just like crying like, ‘What the f##k do I do?’ The moral of the f###### story, stay out of the industry. If you have daughters make sure to tell them that their idols they should never meet and never go to the f###### studio with anyone even if you’re invited there as an artist, unless you have a bodyguard with you.”
Heaton’s allegations follow a lawsuit filed by her former manager, Lauren Pisciotta, who was Ye’s former assistant, accusing West of sexual assault, contract breach and wrongful termination.
Heaton also alleged that Pisciotta was present during the night the alleged assault took place and claims she left the room, despite requests to stay. Heaton says she didn’t come forward with the allegations sooner due to the fact she felt as though no one believed her. She also cited Pisciotta’s recent lawsuit as part of the reason she elected to speak out now.
On the other hand, Pisciotta’s lawsuit alleges West perpetrated multiple sexually explicit crimes against her, including allegedly sending her lewd texts and masturbating while speaking to her on the phone. The lawsuit also accuses West of pleasuring himself in front of her after trapping her in a private area on his plane. Watch the full video from Heaton’s IG Live above.
