Cardi B Asks Court To Force Tasha K To Delete Defamatory Videos & Posts

Cardi B isn’t done with her legal battle against vlogger Tasha K.

According to multiple reports, Cardi B is seeking a court order to have defamatory claims about her removed from Tasha K’s YouTube channel and social media. The Atlantic Records artist’s attorneys asked a federal judge for a permanent injunction against the vlogger in a filing on Thursday (March 3).

“Not all of the videos and posts containing the defamatory statements have been removed from defendants’ social media accounts,” her legal team noted in the court filing.

Earlier this year, Cardi B was awarded $4 million in a defamation lawsuit against Latasha Kebe a.k.a. Tasha K. Kebe was found liable of defamation, invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

But Cardi B and her lawyers want more than money for the trouble caused by Kebe. That’s why they’ve asked the court to step in and make Kebe delete what they describe as “disgusting lies” about the rapper.

“Damages alone are inadequate to address the constant ongoing threat of defendants repeating the defamatory statements,” the court filing argues. “Defendants have explicitly said that they will continue publishing the defamatory statements unless an injunction is issued.”

Kebe has accused Cardi B of having herpes and engaging in prostitution. During the defamation trial, Kebe said she’d only scrub the false allegations from her platforms if the court ordered her to do it.

Samuel L. Jackson Puts Oscars On Blast Just Before Honorary Award

Samuel L. Jackson believes he should have taken home the Oscar for his role in “Pulp Fiction.”

“The Avengers” actor has been nominated once for an Academy Award – for playing hitman Jules in Quentin Tarantino’s 1994 movie “Pulp Fiction.”

He believes the Best Supporting Actor statuette should have been his instead of “Ed Wood’s” Martin Landau.

“I should have won that one,” he told The Times, adding that he deserved a supporting actor nomination for the 1991 movie “Jungle Fever” as much as Harvey Keitel and Ben Kingsley for the gangster film “Bugsy.”

“My wife and I went to see ‘Bugsy,'” he said. “Damn! They got nominated and I didn’t? I guess Black folk usually win for doing despicable s### on screen. Like Denzel (Washington) for being a horrible cop in ‘Training Day.’ All the great stuff he did in uplifting roles like ‘Malcolm X?’ No – we’ll give it to this m###########. So maybe I should have won one.”

Washington was beaten to the Best Actor award by Al Pacino for “Scent of a Woman” in 1993, the year he was nominated for “Malcolm X.” He eventually won in 2002 for “Training Day.*

However, Jackson noted that Oscars acclaim doesn’t “move the comma on your check” as an actor’s salary is based on their box office takings – and he is the highest-grossing actor of all time.

He added that his blockbuster films are just as valid as awards season fare.

“All movies are valid,” Jackson explained. “Some go to the cinema to be moved dearly. Some like superheroes. If somebody has more butts on seats it just means your audience is not as broad. There are people who have had successful careers but nobody can recite one line of their parts. I’m the guy who says s### that’s on a T-shirt.”

The 73-year-old will receive an honorary Oscar for his impact on the film industry at the Governors Awards on March 25th.

Buffalo’s Ché Noir Has Bars And Beats For Everyone From Benny The Butcher To Nas

Ché Noir is a new breed of emcee. Young, but can spit. Old enough to have respect for the legends, but progressive enough not to be shackled by that adulation. A rapper through and through, she has spit bars with the likes of Ransom, Benny The Butcher, Armani Caesar, 38 Spesh, Rome Streetz, and more. But the Buffalo, NY native is not defined by who she raps with. She is a legit threat on her own.

Also a dope producer, the 20-something is cranking out dope beats. Right now, she has a largely self-produced project Food For Thought and Be Careful What You Wish For, an album by Jynx716 she produced exclusively. Ché Noir is big different. She was born the same day Nas’s classic Illmatic. She’s that unique.

Check out this exclusive interview between the spitter and Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur, the big dog of AllHipHop. She reveals her loves, ambitions and favorites in Hip-Hop. The pair also take time to manifest some future collaborations.

Damson Idris Tickled The Ivory, But Denies Dating Saweetie

Earlier this week, Damson Idris chopped it up with The Breakfast Club. While there, he openly admits to tickling the ivory. However, he denies that he was ever dating Saweetie.

As a matter of fact, Angela Ye strategically elicits the answer. She coyly asks, “Are you still taking piano lessons?” Soon, the Englishman squirms around in his hair. Then, before coating his throat, he jokes about Juilliard.

Of course, the relentless commentary does not cease. “It looked like you were good with your hands,” offers Ye. Soon, DJ Envy asks the Snowfall star, “Was that Saweetie’s piano?”

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by The Shade Room (@theshaderoom)

After, momentarily gathering himself, the FX stand out responds. “She’s a great piano player. And I didn’t know she could play piano,” he confesses. “I didn’t even think the world knew. So I was like, ‘Oh this is a cool moment.’”

In order, to add more context, Damson Idris explains the backstory. “She’s a huge Snowfall fan. That day we were at lunch, I think talking about how we could collaborate,” Next, he adds, “She wanted to show me her new place because I love CB2 and I was going to give her some ideas about furniture and art and then boom, we went. “

Of course, nostalgia arouses a smile. So then, the emerging entertainer declares, “She was playing the piano. That’s it. I was in there for like five minutes and I dipped out. She’s a friend of mine.”

As it stands, Saweetie’s professional and private actions continue to demand interest. For all the juicy details, skip ahead to the twenty minute mark.

Laray Da Savage- “HeartBreaks” Video

Combining his profound perspective on life with a captivating on-screen performance, Houston Texas’ Laray Da Savage returns with the visual for “HeartBreaks.”

“HeartBreaks” serves as the ‘Be Right Back’ album’s second single, and is built around beautiful melodies as well as lush uptempo instrumentation compliments of Yetty.

When detailing his thought process when creating the record, Laray states,

“I was feeling neglected by love and had a hard time dealing with heartbreak, so I channeled my emotions into the music and sang my heart out.”

Spearheaded by standout single “BBL,” ‘Be Right Back’ is composed of 15 carefully curated cuts and was executive produced by Ricky Rich & Danny Bvndz of Studio 713. Mixed as well as mastered by Ryan Mellow, the project’s production duties were handled by Yetty, RamyonTheBeat, and OH Ross.

Houston has a long list of talented artists that have risen to stardom in rap. From legend Scarface, to Travis Scott, the artists who make it out of the city always have the “it” factor.

As Hip Hop continues to grow in the H-Town music scene, there is no way to leave out Texas rising star Laray Da Savage.

As he embraces his new moniker as a voice of the streets, Laray Da Savage has the ability to take the industry by storm. Recognized as “Wavey” or “The Voice” in his community, he gives a great amount of love to his home city.

With over 5M+ views throughout his catalogue and a Trae Tha Truth co-sign, by way of inclusion on the Houston Hip Hop authority’s posse cut “It Ain’t Fair,” it’s only a matter of time before this emerging star has a core fan base outside of his stomping grounds.

Julia Fox Says Publicity She Received Dating Kanye Was “Priceless”

Julia Fox is confident her public narrative will eventually “surpass” her brief relationship with Kanye West.

The “Uncut Gems” actress met Kanye New Year’s Eve and they embarked on a highly publicized romance, which came to an end six weeks later on Valentine’s Day.

In an interview with The New York Times, Fox claimed she was the one who initiated the split but described the decision as amicable, and noted that they only spent around 15 days together during their romance due to their busy schedules.

She then insisted that her relationship with “the ultimate stunt queen” has given her career a huge boost and she won’t be defined by it forever.

“Look at the big picture,” Fox said. “That was amazing for me. The exposure was priceless… But I do think eventually I’ll surpass the Kanye narrative. Believe it or not, Kanye’s not the most interesting thing that’s ever happened to me.
“I tried my best to make it work… I already had a jam-packed life. How do I fit this really big personality into this already full life? It just wasn’t sustainable. I lost like 15 pounds in that month.”

The 32-year-old added that she didn’t think they were an exclusive couple but she felt like she was his girlfriend at the time.

“But it also felt like I was being cast in the role of his girlfriend – and he was casting me. He was the orchestrator of it all. It really did feel like a movie,” she stated.

For her birthday celebration in February, West gifted Fox and a few of her friends Hermès Birkin bags, which costs upwards of $10,000 each.

In the interview, she revealed she used it for a few days before putting it back in the box.

“I don’t know if you know about owning a Birkin when you’re not a rich person, but it’s like the most anxiety-inducing thing ever,” she shared. “You’re checking on the Birkin, making sure it’s still there, that it didn’t magically grow wings. It’s scary to have a Birkin. It’s a lot of pressure.”

Censorship Blocks Creativity – Adam Thomas Moryto

While some countries offer legal protection against censorship, others do not. Even the nations that do afford these freedoms can require a fight to exercise them. Adam Thomas Moryto has a strong message for those who wish to block any type of creativity in music: it is futile to put limitations on art and creative expression.

This goes beyond a cultural plea as it can move into the field of being illegal. After all, artists and musicians have been jailed in numerous parts of the world for speaking their minds. Whether the censor boards feel the work is obscene or threatens civil unrest, Adam Thomas Moryto believes it is not about suppressing music; they are censoring human emotions.

Music is the ultimate vehicle for sharing creative expression; thus, it is deeply personal. Whether or not people seek to censor some music can be based solely on opinion and perception, which, as we all know, can vary tremendously. While some lyrics are relatively straightforward and can raise even the most jaded eyebrows, others can be grossly misinterpreted.

Adam Thomas Moryto feels that no matter how direct or suggestive music is, it should be censored after interpreting numerous angles. The same goes for any type of art, for that matter. As he says, if you don’t like it, you don’t have to look or listen, but do not impose your disapproval on others. Saying this to civilians is one thing, but swaying censor boards is another. His explanation is simple, “I’m not going to alter my work due to draconian laws.”

The repression of speech and creativity is akin to blocking a part of our existence. It is a tactic to control and silence a population, not just a portion of that population. Adam Thomas Moryto advocates letting the creative expression flow freely and fearlessly.

Wack 100 Says Game Is A Ghostwriter On 50 Cent’s ‘GRODT!’

As of late, Wack 100 seems to be transforming himself into a Hip-Hop “news” reporter. First, the gossip involves Pooh Shiesty and now Fifty is up for discussion. Ultimately, Wack 100 claims The Game’s pen is helpful. In fact, he insists the Left Coast lyricist is a ghostwriter on 50 Cent’s, Get Rich Or Die Tryin’.

Nearly, twenty years ago, 50 dropped his mainstream debut, GRODT. Since then, the project has earned respect and critically-acclaim. As a matter of fact, this effort helped to catapult the Queens lyricist to enduring longevity. In other words, Wack 100 — who aligns himself with talent — is questioning 50’s validity.

So, as of late, the provocative personality uses a Clubhouse address and drops a bomb. There he broaches the subject of 50’s purported claims. The industry heavyweight openly discusses allegations that The Game only wrote a portion of of his debut, The Documentary.

Instantly, The Game shoots down those fables. He contends, that his former boss merely wrote “what you heard him say on the record.” Additionally, Game asserts that he did not receive any other writing assistance.

Soon, the established narrative completely changes. This is when the polarizing individual alleges a Hip-Hop taboo. “I’m going to speak on something [Game] don’t ever speak on,” he nonchalantly taunts. After, spitting the hook for “What Up Gangsta,” he chides, ” Who you think wrote that? I’m going to leave it alone.”

Virginia-bred rhymer Pusha T brought cocaine imagery to late-night television. King Push took over the stage of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Thursday.

Fake snow fell onto Pusha during his performance of “Diet Coke” on the CBS program. In addition, a large screen behind the G.O.O.D. Music recording artist displayed an arctic scene.

88 Keys and Kanye “Ye” West produced the “Diet Coke” single. Pusha T released an official music video for the track, featuring a cameo by Ye, on February 8.

Pusha T is preparing to release his fourth studio LP. The forthcoming project will follow 2018’s Daytona which received a Best Rap Album nomination at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards.

Kendrick Lamar Tapped As A Headliner For The 2022 Glastonbury Festival

One of the most celebrated American emcees is closing out one night of England’s Glastonbury Festival. Kendrick Lamar will headline the music event in Pilton, Somerset.

Glastonbury booked the To Pimp A Butterfly album creator to perform on June 26. The other announced headliners are Pop sensation Billie Eilish and Beatles legend Paul McCartney.

Motown Records icon Diana Ross will perform during June 26’s Sunday teatime slot. The Glastonbury 2022 lineup also includes Burna Boy, Doja Cat, Ghetts, Koffee, Leon Bridges, Little Simz, Megan Thee Stallion, TLC, and more.

Proceeds from this year’s Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts will support Oxfam, WaterAid, Greenpeace, Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, and other charitable causes.

In addition to topping the bill for Glastonbury, Kendrick Lamar will also join Kanye West and Future as headlining acts for Rolling Loud Miami 2022. Lamar will hit the stage for that festival on July 24.

The upcoming live performance dates, along with his Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show set in February, led to speculation that Kendrick Lamar is planning to release a new album in the near future. Lamar has not released a studio LP since 2017’s Pulitzer Prize-winning Damn.

Last year, Kendrick Lamar made two appearances on Baby Keem’s The Melodic Blue project. Their “Family Ties” single received two Grammy Award nominations. The collaboration is up for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance.

Wingstop Files Trademark To Sell Chicken In The Metaverse

For a lot of Hip Hop followers, the Wingstop restaurant chain is synonymous with Florida-bred rapper Rick Ross. The self-described “Biggest Boss That You Seen Thus Far” opened franchises in Alabama, Georgia, New York, and other states.

According to Business Insider, Wingstop filed a multi-class trademark to sell “downloadable virtual goods” in the metaverse. The application reportedly includes the creation of an online marketplace for trading NFTs, digital assets, and artwork.

Wingstop is looking to follow other restaurants, such as McDonald’s and Panera Bread, into the metaverse. Trademark lawyer Josh Gerben told Forbes, “I think you’re going to see every brand that you can think of make these filings within the next 12 months.”

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office reportedly takes eight to nine months to review trademark requests. For Wingstop, the brand’s filing signifies “an exciting public step to serve the world flavor in a virtual space.”

Numerous Hip Hop stars have embraced the metaverse. For example, Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee took on the role of Chief Entertainment Officer for the mafia blockchain-based game Syn City.

Snoop Dogg helped create a virtual mansion in the Ethereum-based metaverse game The Sandbox. In February, Nick Cannon’s Wild ‘N Out announced a partnership with Super League Gaming to produce live streams of the sketch comedy show’s Metaverse Remix.

Virtual reality and augmented reality spaces have also become regular venues for live performances. Acts such as H.E.R., Post Malone, Wiz Khalifa, Offset, Kid Cudi, The Roots, and Latto entertained computerized crowds over the last three years.

Dame Dash Creating A Football League That Rivals The NFL?

Often, audacity accompanies greatness. Dame Dash exudes boldness. It is no wonder that he plans to create a football league that rivals the NFL.

Yes, relationships change and life continues to happen. However, nothing appears capable of distracting Mr. Dash from fulfilling his purpose. Needless to say, he seems determined to bring his latest concept to fruition.

Recently, the mogul visits Shannon Sharpe’s podcast, Club Shay Shay. There, the entrepreneur unveils his unyielding motivation to buy an NFL franchise. “They don’t look like us.” insists Dame. Additionally, he matter-of-factly states, “They’re paying us. They’re laughing at us. That’s the way I see it. ”

Soon, it is Dame Dash who begs the question, “How many black men have tried to buy football teams and a white boy said, ‘No?,’ I know Ray Lewis tried.” Of course, the Hall of Famer then inquires about the required capital.

Following Sharpe’s funding questions Mr. Ambitious sounds off. Quickly he quips, “how many people, in general, put up their own money in the first place?” Next, he suggests, “We all have to come together — put our money together — make a fund and go make it. “

Nevertheless, the legendary record executive simply states, “That’s the difference between us and them. They know how to leverage.” Although this may be true, he unsuccessfully tried to purchase the Raiders. However, that situation is arousing even more opportunity.

Be that as it may, Dame’s voracious drive is apparent. So, it is only natural that he pivots and chooses to create his own football league. The Big Dreamer details, “We look forward to making sure that every single game feels like a Super Bowl.” On the positive side, he boasts that “combining” cultural elements will elevate the experience.

Above all, Damon Dash believes in his abilities. The accompanying IG caption reads, “We’re gonna show the world what it’s like when we own the land. Stay tuned.”

Marc Lamont Hill Blasts Kanye West For Harassing Kim Kardashian & Pete Davidson

Hip Hop star Kanye West and reality television star Kim Kardashian are in the process of getting a divorce. Over the last several weeks, West has lashed out at his estranged wife. He also took aim at Kim K’s new boyfriend, Pete Davidson.

This week saw a judge grant Kim Kardashian’s request to be legally single. Additionally, on March 3, Kanye West released a music video for “Eazy” featuring The Game. The visuals include depictions of a decapitated Pete Davidson.

The “Eazy” video and Kanye West’s trolling of Davidson on Instagram caused backlash from some critics, including political commentator Marc Lamont Hill. The Black News Tonight host used a segment of his show to blast the Grammy-winning rapper.

“Kanye West is a stalker. At this stage, he has officially entered ‘stalkerville.’ What he’s doing is unseemly, it’s disgusting, it’s disturbing, it’s indefensible, it’s unacceptable,” Marc Lamont Hill told his audience.

The Beats, Rhymes, and Classroom Life author continued, “Kanye West has the right to feel how he feels about his divorce. And personally, I don’t care about his divorce… none of that is our business. It only becomes our business when they start talking about it in public.”

Hill went on to say West’s actions are a way to get a restraining order, not fix his relationship with Kardashian. The former CNN contributor added, “This is unhealthy behavior, this is dangerous behavior, this is violent behavior… And if this was anybody other than Kanye West, we’d be calling it what it is, but the problem is so many of y’all want to enable this behavior because y’all like the songs he makes.”

Jadakiss Dismisses Jim Jones’ Desire For A Verzuz Rematch!

No, not with his group. Or, by himself, Jada simply has no interest. In fact, Jadakiss dismisses Jim Jones’ desire for a Verzuz rematch.

Needless to say, last year’s epic match up between Dipset and The L.O.X. proved to be timeless. As a matter of fact, the Top 5 D.O.A. candidate’s lyrical prowess steals the show. Moreover, it is the L.O.X’s lopsided victory that pesters the Harlem crew. That’s right, deflated egos are still dragging the ground.

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by VERZUZ (@verzuztv)

So, since then Jim Jones appears especially vexed. Generally speaking, Capo insists on a rematch. Well, for some reason he prefers a mano a mano type of redo.

Of course, he says as much. Almost immediately, he issues the demand. “I would want to have a Verzuz with Jada, solo. He has to deal with me on my terms,” reveals Jimmy. “He better be prepared. When it comes to a top three, I don’t really have a list. I just got real smoke with Jada.”  Nonetheless, the legendary lyricist nonchalantly ignores the summons.

For the most part, the esteemed lyricist continues to mind his business. However, he finally makes mention of the proposed battle. Although, many believe Kiss to be the safe bet, he is utterly unmoved.

All things considered, while speaking with Superstar Jay of Shade 45, the prolific poet broaches the issue. “I heard him say that but I didn’t entertain it,” he confesses. Soon, he delves deeper into his perspective. “I don’t think Verzuz would entertain it. I don’t even think the people would want to see that.”

Clearly, Jadakiss is not interested in a lyrical rematch. Should he be?

U.K Drill Artist Digga D Links With Moneybagg Yo On “G Lock”

Digga D has shown once again why he’s one of the biggest talents to emerge from the U.K. drill scene with a new transatlantic collaboration with Moneybagg Yo.

The West London and Memphis rappers joined forces on “G Lock,” released Thursday (Mar. 3). Listen to it below.

Digga D X Moneybagg Yo – G Lock

Digga D also announced his third mixtape is coming next month. “This is the first time in my life I feel free,” he wrote on his socials. “Free from all the hassle from police, p#### haters, probation & crazy entanglements. Really been living a movie & this mixtape is just a scene from it.”

The project is titled “Noughty By Nature” and is due on April, 15 and available now to pre-order.

A Criminal Behavioural Order (CBO) was imposed on Digga D in 2018 following a conviction for conspiring to commit violent disorder. Believed to be the first of its kind in the U.K., the CBO prevents him from using certain names, locations, and themes in his lyrics. His lawyers believe the order gives the police the ability to control and censor his art.

Digga D’s post alludes to the CBO coming to an end. According to his lawyer, the order was for a five-year period.

“The order determines what sorts of things Digga can talk about in his songs,” his attorney, Cecilia Goodwin explained to the BBC last year. “It tries to control who he can talk about, what he can talk about, the areas that he can talk about. And also it goes even further because, visually, there are certain things he’s also not allowed to portray. So it’s very tricky. It’s quite difficult working within those parameters when you are a drill artist.”

While Digga D has learned to adapt to the constraints of the CBO, his post suggests a weight has been lifted from his shoulders.

Jermaine Dupri Missed Out On Signing Usher and Bruno Mars

Jermaine Dupri missed out on signing Usher and Bruno Mars early in their careers, and he still feels some type of way about it. He shared a video of the superstar singers and recalled how he dropped the ball with them.

In the clip, Jermaine Dupri claims, “this is an artist I should have signed,” before pointing the camera at Usher. “But we made history,” replied Usher, although Dupri said he should have sealed the deal “from the jump.”

“( Fun Fact )” he begins in the caption to the post. “@usher came to the krisKross concert in ATL at the Fox with his manager at the time AJ to get me to sign him, this was before he signed to LAFace.” Dupri continued, “I wanted to do it but I didn’t have the bandwidth nor was my vision clear that I have a gift with working with younger artist.”

https://www.instagram.com/tv/Capu1dFAPEq/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Jermaine Dupri failing to sign Bruno Mars is something of a running joke between them. “@brunomars he reminds me of this every time we’re together 🤣 I was so young and I didn’t have all the resources and I was true to my self in knowing that.”

Bruno Mars told Dupri, “Let them know you had your shot,” when the famed producer pointed out he also missed out on him.

Jermaine Dupri Tells The Story Of “Confessions”

Jermaine Dupri may not have signed Usher but the pair have made hit songs together, including “Confessions” and “Confessions Part II.” Dupri explained to Billboard how the songs from Usher’s 2004 album, Confessions, came to be.

He revealed that “Confessions” was initially called “All Bad” and told the story of a guy fessing up to his girlfriend. However, when Usher heard it, he was convinced there was more of the story to tell.

“As soon as Usher said there’s a part two, my brain clicked and every word of “Confessions Part II” flew out of my mouth. Those lyrics for part two were something that I had actually gone through in my life; they were a reliving of a situation. I just had to put it in the right words that would make it fit for being Usher’s story.
