Tory Lanez is going down. Well, he’s already down after he was proclaimed guilty by a court of law in the shooting case of Megan Thee Stallion. Newsflash! So, there is a new revelation that is damning at best. Tory has yet to be sentenced in the shooting and he is facing deportation. In the video, he says sorry to Kelsey, Meg’s best friend at the time. Kelsey, in turn, says that Meg was in the hospital and she was waiting like the doting friend she is. In the video, which us heavily tagged, Tory apologizes and says that he was drunk. In fact, he says that it wouldn’t have happened it at all if he was not drunk. He apologizes endlessly, but stops shy of saying he actually blasted the lady rapper. He makes the startling revelation that he was blessed (or cursed) with several shots of hard liquor (5 to be specific).

Kelsey says she was gone too, high off the liquor and out of it. He pretty much reveals that their relationship was over, never to speak again. He also said that he knew that he was going to get all the hell and not Meg. I am not sure why he would think she was get FLACK for a shooting HE did. Oddly enough, he admits that he does not remember what she and he were even arguing about.

Trae Tha Truth Lends Helping Hand To Elderly Woman Arrested Over $77 Trash Bill

Trae Tha Truth traveled to Alabama to meet with an 82-year-old woman who was arrested for not paying a $77 trash bill.

Martha Menefield thought police were joking when they came to arrest her at her Valley, Alabama home in November. Officers took her into custody over an unpaid bill, which she thought she paid.

The elderly woman’s arrest sparked outrage on social media. A city official claimed Menefield had a history of suspended service and ignored a citation to appear in court. But Menefield told CBS 42 she never received any notice.

A month after the arrest, Trae Tha Truth made his way to Alabama to assist Menefield. The philanthropic rapper encouraged his Instagram followers to donate to a GoFundMe page for Menefield.

“Yall Meet Mrs Martha Menefield,” Trae Tha Truth wrote. “She wanted to tell everyone who cared, Prayed or Donated Thank You… I Need all the Real Ones to Donate, She Has No Central Heat or AC, And House Floods When it rains, and many more things, it will take a lot of work but we can bless her… Donate to her directly so we can make sure they try to take her jail again and she never have to stress about simply living …. Bless Our Elders.”

YFN Lucci’s Lawyer Reveals Rapper’s Plan Regarding Nemesis Young Thug’s RICO Case

YFN Lucci’s attorney Drew Findling denied claims suggesting his client will testify in Young Thug’s upcoming trial.

Findling told TMZ his client never talked to prosecutors or law enforcement about anything regarding the YSL RICO case. YFN Lucci’s lawyer spoke out after his client’s name was mentioned in a courtroom clip that spread via social media on Thursday (December 29).

“Any party can announce for example that Abraham Lincoln is on their witness list, but those words alone are meaningless,” Findling said. “So, to be 100% clear, Rayshawn Bennett (Lucci) will not be a witness in the YSL case.”

An attorney referred to YFN Lucci as a witness during a hearing in the YSL RICO case. A video of the comment circulated online, which led to speculation that he struck some type of deal with prosecutors to alleviate his own legal issues.

YFN Lucci is in jail awaiting trial on multiple charges, including murder. But his lawyer said his client won’t take the stand in Young Thug’s RICO trial despite their longstanding beef.

“His focus, as it should be, is on his pending Fulton County case,” Findling said.

Young Thug’s trial is scheduled to begin in January 2023. He will be tried alongside 14 co-defendants who were named in the RICO indictment against YSL.

Young Thug Begins Fight For His Life In Court Next Week

Young Thug’s RICO case is scheduled to proceed to jury selection on January 4, 2023.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Young Thug will face trial with 14 co-defendants. 28 people were named in the RICO indictment against YSL members in May.

Seven of the 28 defendants accepted plea deals in the RICO case. Six more must wait to be tried at a later date.

Two men in the RICO indictment still haven’t been arrested. Four others don’t have lawyers, forcing Judge Ural Glanville to separate them from Young Thug’s upcoming trial.

“We’ve been attempting to get lawyers for them for several months,” Glanville said. “Those particular individuals, once they get attorneys, we’ll deal with them at some point in the future.”

Gunna, Lil Duke, Slimelife Shawty and Young Thug’s brother Unfoonk were among the notable names who took plea deals in the YSL RICO case. Antonio Sledge was the most recent defendant to accept a deal.

Sledge pleaded guilty to conspiracy to violate the RICO Act and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon on Wednesday (December 28). He was sentenced to 15 years of probation.

Three more of Young Thug’s co-defendants – Derontae Bebee, Tenquarius Mender and Trontavious Stephens – were offered plea deals. The offers were on the table until the end of Thursday (December 29).

Young Thug remains in jail after being denied bond several times. His trial is expected to begin on January 9, 2023.

Andrew Tate Arrested In Romania For Human Trafficking Following Greta Thunberg Roast

Andrew Tate, former professional kickboxer and current YouTube personality, was reportedly arrested in Romania on Thursday (December 29). According to a Twitter post from BNO News, Tate and his brother Tristan were taken into custody during a human trafficking probe.

The arrest comes roughly 24 hours after climate activist Greta Thunberg ethered Tate with a single tweet. Both quickly became trending Twitter topics as reactions poured in. It all started on December 27 when Tate tweeted: “Hello @gretathunberg I have 33 cars. My Bugatti has a w16 8.0L quad turbo. My TWO Ferrari 812 competizione have 6.5L v12s. This is just the start. Please provide your email address so I can send a complete list of my car collection and their respective enormous emissions.”

Thunberg, 19 years old, replied: “yes, please do enlighten me. email me at sm*************@******fe.com.” He mustered in response: “How dare you!?”

Thunberg’s response elicited a cascade of comments applauding her moxie. The Roots’ Questlove, in particular, couldn’t have been more proud. As he wrote alongside a re-tweet or her retort, “Y’all wanna see a dead body?”

Thousands of others were equally as impressed. Comments ranged from “Yes, Andrew Tate may own 33 gas guzzling cars, but Greta Thunberg now owns one Andrew Tate” to “Andrew Tate will now forever be known as ‘that guy who got absolutely wrecked by Greta Thunberg on Twitter’ and nothing else.”

As for the alleged arrest, Tate and his brother were raided at his home in Pipera by the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism in relation to the abduction of two young girls. The Romanian authorities are reportedly focused on a fleet of luxury cars at his residence, presumably the ones he’s been bragging about.

Tate faced allegations of human trafficking in Romania just nine months ago. However, Tate claimed the issues arose from a swatting incident: “I was not arrested. What happened is I suffered from a case of swatting. It’s very popular with people who are large on the internet.”

Nick Cannon’s 12th child arrived before the end of 2022.

Alyssa Scott gave birth to Nick Cannon’s baby girl Halo Marie Cannon on December 14. Scott revealed their newborn daughter to the public in an Instagram post on Thursday (December 29).

Scott mentioned her and Nick Cannon’s late son Zen Cannon in her social media announcement. Their 5-month-old son died of brain cancer in 2021.

“Our lives are forever changed,” Scott wrote. “Zen is in every breath I take. I know his spirit was with us in the room that morning. I know he is watching down on us, he shows me signs everyday. I will hold onto this memory forever. I will remember the sound of Nick’s voice saying ‘it’s a girl’ and the look of everything we’ve been through flash across his face. I will remember the sound of her crying out with her first breath and feeling her heartbeat against mine. My sweet girl, I got my surprise!! We love you Halo Marie Cannon!”

Halo Marie Cannon is Nick Cannon’s fifth child born in 2022. He also fathered children with Abby De La Rosa, Bre Tiesi, Brittany Bell and LaNisha Cole.

Last month, the 42-year-old entertainer welcomed his third child with De La Rosa. Bell gave birth to her third child with The Masked Singer host in September.

EXCLUSIVE: White Employee Sues Verizon After He’s Caught Using “N-Word” While Discussing DMX On Company Phone

A Caucasian man named Peter Kelly is suing Verizon for wrongful termination. Kelly, who worked for the company for more than 20 years, alleges management fired him in May 2021 for using the word “n-gga” while discussing DMX on a company phone. According to documents obtained by AllHipHop, Kelly is attempting to recover damages for Verizon’s “unlawful discrimination” against Kelly “in violation of the National Labor Relations Act.”

It continues: “This action also arises out of the breach by Plaintiff’s union, Defendant Communications Workers of America, AFL-CIO (the ‘Union’), of the duty to provide fair representation, and of the breach by Plaintiff’s employer, Defendant Verizon New York Inc. (“Verizon”), of the collective bargaining agreement.”

As explained in the docs, Verizon hired Kelly as a Field Technician in 2000. After many years of exemplary employment, the native New Yorker says he was fired “without cause” following a conversation he had the month prior. Kelly says on April 6, 2021—three days before DMX died—he took a personal call while on his lunch break.

“In discussing DMX’s music Plaintiff used the word ‘n####,’ which is a word commonly used by the artist himself in his lyrics,” the docs read. “Unbeknownst to Plaintiff, he had inadvertently answered a call on his company cellular phone, and a Verizon employee who listened to his private call for approximately forty-five seconds overheard him say the word ‘n-gga.'”

Subsequently, Kelly was suspended pending an internal investigation for discrimination and harassment. He was fired less than a month later for “for violating Verizon’s discrimination and harassment policy.” Kelly and his attorney argue, “Despite this alleged zero-tolerance policy, certain employees routinely use words like ‘b####,’ ‘c###,’ ‘n-gger,’ ‘n-gga’ and ‘s###’ in the workplace.

“Such language is used in the presence of management-level employees, yet when it is used by a female employee, an African American employee, and/or a Hispanic employee, none is reprimanded or disciplined in any way.”

As a result, Kelly is seeking ” all forms of relief recoverable under the statutes sued hereunder including compensatory damages, back pay, and reinstatement; an award of statutory attorneys’ fees; a judicial declaration that the Union, by virtue of its conduct, is precluded from representing Plaintiff’s interests, and Plaintiff is therefore entitled to pursue all rights in this Court in his own place and stead; an award of pre-judgment interest and costs; and such further and additional relief as the Court deems just and proper.”

Comedian Tracy Morgan experienced a life-changing accident in June 2014. In addition to recovering from the physical pain caused by that wreck, Morgan also has to fight decades-old internal demons.

The former Saturday Night Live cast member sat down with Maino for the rapper-turned-host’s Kitchen Talk show. During the Fox Soul program, Tracy Morgan discussed his long-time battle with substance abuse.

“When you’re famous and funny every time you go into the club there is always somebody going, ‘Can I get you a drink? Can I get you a drink?’ Because they think when you’re drunk you’re going to make them laugh, but being drunk has nothing to do with your sense of humor,” explained Morgan.

The star of 30 Rock added, “You’re not even focused when you’re inebriated. So, I’m an alcoholic. I started drinking and I got two DUIs in one year. I thank the Lord I didn’t lose my legs and I didn’t kill nobody and I ain’t go to jail.”

Morgan went on to say that he has been clean for 25 years. The 54-year-old stand-up comic also described himself as an advocate against alcoholism. He stated, “You know what I do, I say I’m an alcoholic and the minute I can’t say that I’m doomed.”

Tracy Morgan Gives Back To His Community During The Holiday Season

Eight years ago, Tracy Morgan was involved in a six-vehicle crash in New Jersey. His friend, James McNair, lost his life as a result of the traffic collision caused by a Walmart truck driver. Morgan sued Walmart for negligence before the company settled the lawsuit out of court.

“I’m just living life, but I still go back home, but when I go back home to Tompkins I don’t go back empty-handed. We just gave out food this past Saturday in Bed-Stuy; food and toys cause we want everyone to have a great Christmas like us,” Morgan told Maino.

The Last O.G. lead actor added, “Why can’t these kids have a good Christmas like mine? So, I try to do something with my Walmart money or whatever and my prestige and I take back to my community.”

Top Dawg Entertainment songstress SZA currently has the most popular album in America. SOS holds the #1 position on the Billboard 200 chart for the second straight week.

SZA’s fans waited five years for her sophomore studio LP. Throughout that time between albums, the New Jersey-bred singer-songwriter repeatedly clashed with TDE President Terrence “Punch” Henderson Jr. 

Last year, SZA blasted her record label after the “Good Days” single fell off the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Then this year saw the Grammy winner blamed Punch and RCA Records for SOS not coming out over the summer.

“You gotta understand the context, and you have to know the person,” said Punch in response to SZA’s comments about her project’s delay. “You have to know how something was said. If it was lighthearted, if it was serious, like what it was.”

Punch Puts Over The Sales Numbers For SZA’s SOS

Despite those apparent conflicts, Punch seems pleased with SOS‘s commercial performance so far. He took to Twitter to gloat about his artist putting up impressive sales numbers over the last two weeks.

“I never really focus on the numbers too much. Of course, I pay attention to them, [but] the quality of the art is always at the forefront for me. But these SOS numbers aren’t too shabby. Lol,” tweeted Punch.

One Hollywood legend apparently has a motion picture project for Cardi B. Veteran actress Pam Grier revealed her still-subdued plans for the Invasion of Privacy album creator during an interview with Rolling Stone.

Pam Grier, 73, rose to prominence as one of the blaxploitation subgenre’s biggest heroes. Roles in films such as Coffy (1973), Foxy Brown (1974), and Sheba, Baby (1975) made her a bona fide star in the 1970s.

Additionally, Grier had a successful comeback in 1997 by playing the titular character in Quentin Tarantino’s Jackie Brown. The North Carolina-born leading lady showed up on numerous television programs throughout her career as well.

Cardi B made her feature film debut in 2019’s Hustlers alongside a cast that featured Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart, Julia Stiles, and Lizzo. The Diamond-selling rapper also entered the Fast & Furious universe with an appearance in 2021’s F9.

ABC Apologizes For Using Quavo Photo For Takeoff Tribute

The ABC network found itself under fire for its “The Year: 2022” video. Many Migos fans were upset to see the tribute package feature Quavo instead of the late Takeoff.

Viewers noticed ABC accidentally used a photo of Quavo when recognizing the passing of Takeoff. The Georgia-bred rapper, born Kirsnick Khari Ball, passed away on November 1 following a shooting in Texas.

One Twitter user wrote, “So I’m watching #TheYear on @abc and was caught off guard by the disrespect and ignorance of the programming. All Black people don’t look the same and y’all got this one wrong, the person [in] the picture is clearly, clearly [Quavo], do better @abc.”

ABC issued a public apology for mixing up Migos members Quavo and Takeoff. A tweet from the @abcnewsstudios Twitter account read, “We apologize for the unfortunate error in a previous version of ‘The Year: 2022.’ It has been corrected.”

Takeoff lost his life in Houston. A gunman reportedly shot and killed the 28-year-old entertainer outside the 810 Billiards & Bowling alley. Local police officials do not believe Takeoff was the attended target of the gunfire.

Prior to his death, Takeoff helped the Migos become one of the most successful Hip Hop groups in history. The trio, which also includes Offset, scored two #1 albums on the Billboard 200 chart. Takeoff also released his solo album, The Last Rocket, in 2018.

Remy Ma continues to shake up the battle rap culture, announcing an epic main event battle to headline her one-year anniversary card. 

The Bronx rapper launched her Chrome 23 league earlier this year and has gone from strength to strength. After throwing a run of successful events, she went on to host a historic all-women battle rap tournament. 

Titled The Tournament the competition is now down to the final two battlers who will face off on The Anniversary Card in February. 

Remy Ma dropped a bombshell announcement earlier this week revealing battle rap legend and Wild ‘N Out star Hitman Holla will make his debut appearance on Chrome 23 in 2023. The St Louis artist will battle Eazy The Block Captain in an epic clash of the generations.

Remy Ma Said Things Are Getting Heated between Hitman & Eazy

During a Twitter Spaces talk with Black Compass Media, Remy Ma revealed “the tension is rising” between Hitman and Eazy  

“I’m scared because this is getting spicy. Every time I heard them message each other, the tension is rising,” she said. “I don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes. I don’t know if it’s because people is picking sides or whatever, but I think that’s what’s getting them a little high. Megan Thee Stallion Scores Legal Win In Contract Dispute With 1501 Certified Entertainment

Megan Thee Stallion scored an important early victory in her court battle with her record label, 1501 Certified Entertainment. 

The label entered a request for a pre-trial ruling that Something for Thee Hotties doesn’t qualify as an album under Megan’s contract. However, a Texas judge rejected 1501 Certified Entertainment’s motion, according to a Rolling Stone report.  

In September 1501 filed a motion arguing that Something for Thee Hotties was not an “album” under Megan’s contract. They requested the court forgo the trial and rule the project failed to meet the contract’s definition of an album because it included previously shared songs and purportedly “failed to follow the proper approval procedures.” 

Megan Thee Stallion replied in December, arguing that she complied with her contract and should be given the chance to fight the case at trial. The Grammy Award-winning rapper claimed the freestyles and skits included on Something for Thee Hotties do not qualify as “previously-unreleased,” as they were never sold commercially.  

“If there is any ambiguity around the term ‘previously-unreleased,’ it should be reserved as a question of fact for the jury,” her response reads. 

Furthermore, Megan Thee Stallion claims 300 Entertainment bought the exclusive distribution rights for her albums in 2018. She also states 1501 were kept “apprised of developments” ahead of the album’s release, and 300 Entertainment gave the label a link to Something for Thee Hotties at least three days prior to its release. According to Megan, 1501 “asserted no objection” until the album had been out for two months.  

Following the judge’s ruling, Megan Thee Stallion’s $1 million lawsuit against 1501 will now proceed to trial.  

R. Kelly Denies He Had A Baby With Joycelyn Savage In New Jailhouse Call

R. Kelly has broken his silence on the rumor that he fathered a baby with his fiancé Joycelyn Savage. 

The disgraced singer spoke out from federal prison to deny the gossip after an Instagram account claiming to be Joycelyn Savage announced that she welcomed daughter “Ava Lee Kelly” on December 12.  

R. Kelly addressed the rumored baby during an exclusive interview with radio host and producer Rick Party. He also spoke on the alleged new R. Kelly album that appeared recently on streaming platforms.  

According to the show host, Natasha Simona, R. Kelly said he wants his “voice to be heard” ahead of the upcoming documentary Surviving R. Kelly: The Final Chapter.  

“I can’t name names,” Kelly said in reference to his alleged victims. “I can just say Joycelyn is my fiancé, and I love her, and she loves me, and we’re together. She is not in my case or none of that, she’s not against me.  

When asked if he has a baby with Joycelyn Savage, R. Kelly replied, “Hell naw! She didn’t have a child.” 

The 55-year-old singer also denied releasing new music earlier this month. “I didn’t put out an album. If I would have put out an album It wouldn’t have been called, ‘I Admit It.’ We have to start using our common sense at some point,” he added. Check out what R. Elsewhere during the conversation, R. Kelly revealed that he is feeling “terrible” behind bars while serving his 30-year sentence following his conviction in a sex trafficking and racketeering case.

A different flow on every track! Epic Pompano Beach rapper Loe Shimmy shares ‘Fallin’ – the new track is fire and shows off the artist’s mad skills. It’s all about Shimmy’s life, experiences, and what they want. It’s just as real as their previous bangers “Wake Em Up” and “Playboi Carti.” Shimmy keeps it short and sweet but doesn’t hold back on the realness, spitting bars like: “I’m sick of hustlin’ and causin’ trouble/ I’m tryna get rich like Roddy/ this chick says she’ll leave me, over my dead body,” in the chorus.

Shimmy is a young, talented rapper from Pompano Beach, Florida who has gained the support and collaborations of top artists such as Kodak Black (a release called ‘Bounty’ almost @ 1M views on YouTube) and many more – even a Drake co-sign.  He’s been making music since he was a kid and grew up listening to Old School hits. He’s one of the hottest up-and-coming artists of his generation and can rap over any beat and adapt to any sound. Music is his way of expressing himself and his fans have big expectations for him, which he always exceeds.
