Eminem Brings Mom’s Spaghetti Pop-Up To Los Angeles For Super Bowl

Mom’s Spaghetti has arrived in Los Angeles as Eminem gets ready for his halftime performance at the Super Bowl.

Eminem launched a Mom’s Spaghetti pop-up at Uncle Paulie’s Deli in downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday (February 9). The pop-up location will be up and running through Sunday (February 13).

The Slim Shady-approved food is also available for delivery in the Los Angeles area. Eminem partnered with Postmates to offer delivery service while Mom’s Spaghetti is in L.A.

Mom’s Spaghetti began as a pop-up at The Shelter, a Detroit music venue, in 2017. Eminem eventually brought it to festivals and served it to frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last year, Eminem opened a Mom’s Spaghetti restaurant in downtown Detroit. It was created with the Union Joints restaurant group, which teamed with Slim Shady for his original pop-up.

Eminem will be performing at the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show on Sunday. He’ll be joined by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige for a star-studded set at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

The Cincinnati Bengals will face the Los Angeles Rams in the Super Bowl, which kicks off at 6:30 p.m. EST. Fans can watch the broadcast on NBC or stream it via Peacock.

Kanye West Is Trying Hard To Cancel Black History Month

Kanye West is trying to accomplish what a gang of white supremacists and anti-critical race theorists have wanted to do for years: cancel Black History month.

In an almost 6 minute stylized clip on his Instagram, the artist stands in all black with dozens of followers around him as he lectures.

Kanye opens up by saying his new name, Ye, and shared that his parents met in Atlanta in the 70s. His mother was a member of Operation P.U.S.H., and his dad was a member of the Black Panther Party.

Proudly, he says that she was the first female English chair at Chicago University.

As he has said before, Yeezy notes in this video that the job in Chicago destroyed his family — irreparable damage that remains today.

“The system,” he says, “has been separating families, in every way that it can, for years. America is made to enslave us. What they ever gave us?”

https://www.instagram.com/p/CZurDuTjXnt/

“We’ve done proved. We’ve done showed. It’s documented. Now it’s cemented,” he declared on the post.

He continues, “Black Future… it is time to invent it.”

“There is no more Black History Month. Every February reminding us that we just barely can vote,” the Donda chart-topper said. “You shouldn’t have to be a tech genius, a basketball god, a musical wizard to be able to hold down your family.”

Kanye then turns the platform into a spoken word stage, reciting a poem about his children, those who will write the history, the media’s agenda to get him, and those who have misrepresented him as arrogant because he is a strong personality.

The rapper also recounts how North found out she was Black. A teacher was talking about Martin Luther King Jr., and she pointed out that she was of the same race as the civil rights icon.

Last time, the story was around MLK Day, but in this video, Yeezy squares this transformational moment at the start of Black History Month.

He said that his daughter’s understanding of Black history is coming from her teacher, who is more inclined to frame it around Christopher Columbus than Mansa Musa — the richest man in the history of the world.

“They beat down ideas that will keep you enslaved mentally,” he informed the group, all clearly instructed to be still with their hands down and hoods over their heads.

“I’ve been waiting for us to take the power in our own hands. I’ve been waiting to control our narrative. We need to empower local leaders and that’s our focus,” Kanye exclaimed.

“Our money is being made and goes back into a white system,” the billionaire stated. “Our 44 million (Black people and their spending power) is worth is $1.8 trillion. That means the Black dollar is neck and neck with the biggest company in the world, Apple. With more focus, the Black dollar will be the biggest company in the world.”

He informed that his brand, Yeezy, is the only 100% Black-owned brand “for the culture.” He philosophically aligned himself with the late Virgil Abloh and said they “broke down” the Black belief in Black design.

“We used to hold luxury here,” he says as he motions with his hands a gesture for higher, “and Black design there.”

Kanye ended his monologue by saying that he is fine taking the criticism because he is taking back the narrative.

One way to take back the narrative, at least about Black History Month, is to first recognize some facts about the celebration.

Black History Month was not chosen by white people to give to Black people because it was the shortest month of the year.

According to History.org, the roots of the annual celebration of achievements by people from the African diaspora was started in 1915.

Harvard-trained historian Carter G. Woodson and the prominent minister Jesse E. Moorland founded the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History (ASNLH), an organization dedicated to researching and promoting achievements by Black Americans and other peoples of African descent.

However, it wasn’t until 1926 that the group decided to create the national Negro History week. They chose the second week of February to align with the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass.

The purpose of the week was to inspire Black communities to celebrate the contributions of Black people to the world on a national level.

The monthly celebration that we know now is less than 50 years old. In 1976, President Gerald Ford officially recognized Black History Month.

He pushed the country to “seize the opportunity to honor the too-often neglected accomplishments of Black Americans in every area of endeavor throughout our history.” To put this in context, Hip-Hop is older than Black History Month.

Ye, you can have Black Future Month — but BHM can’t go anywhere. BFM stands on the calendar shoulders of BHM.

Gary Chambers Jr. Discusses His Viral Campaign Ad For Louisiana Senate Bid

Politics is a whole world in itself, but there’s something about Gary Chambers that we can’t get enough of. You may recognize his face from his video that went completely viral, unofficially declaring his place as the first politician to smoke a blunt in his campaign ad.

At 36 years old, the Baton Rouge, Louisiana native lives by the motto “Do Good, Seek Justice,” and that’s exactly what he’s doing in an attempt to decriminalize marijuana laws and seek prison reform for Black people who are locked up on weed charges. Instantly sparking a new conversation surrounding cannabis, Chambers is a proud Democrat, social justice activist, and father, seeing the flower as “a beneficial drug” that can be medicinal for all.

Chambers hosted a Wake and Bake fundraiser at The Big House in Los Angeles, raising awareness for not only himself (as he aims to unseat Republican Senator John Kennedy), but also the importance of justice and social equality.

AllHipHop: What was a young Gary like growing up in Baton Rouge?

Gary Chambers Jr: I’d say a pretty normal life. I was raised in a middle class family, went to good schools, and had a pretty decent life as a kid. My parents are a huge part of my life today and they were phenomenal parents to me.

AllHipHop: How’d you get into politics?

Gary Chambers Jr: Actually by accident. I was in advocacy because some things in my community weren’t going the way I thought they should. I started speaking up on those things. When I met my politicians, I realized that I could do a little bit better and put myself up for service.

AllHipHop: Did you study? How did you get involved?

Gary Chambers Jr: Just being involved: showing up to meetings, being in the community. You learn the issues the more meetings you go to. The more you show up, the more people recognize what’s going on. The more you recognize what’s going on, you have ideas about how you fix it. That’s all being a politician is.

AllHipHop: How does it feel to be running your third time for office?

Gary Chambers Jr: It feels good, it’s different for sure. We’ve got support all over the country, and people like you showing up with the grass today. [laughs] But Free the Tree, it’s a conversation we want to help lead and getting to the point of full legalization. It impacts a lot of people, but it’s also big businesses. We need the justice side, but we also need the equity side. I want to help lead those conversations not just in cannabis, but in health care and environmental justice. Paying all other areas.

AllHipHop: It’s crazy, I just interviewed Freeway Rick Ross yesterday. We talked about how f##### up it is that people are locked up for weed. How does that make you feel and what needs to happen?

Gary Chambers Jr: It’s wrong. The feeling I have is we need to do the things necessary to get it adjusted. That’s why we made it a critical point of our policies to come out with.

AllHipHop: Talk about your ad going viral, “37 Seconds.” Did you anticipate that?

Gary Chambers Jr: We thought we’d get maybe a million views. We didn’t know we’d get 6 million on our page, then it’s been probably viewed 30 million times on social media when we looked at all the different platforms it’s been shared on. The reality is it shows you how much people are impacted by this because it’s not just “it’s such a great ad,” it connects to so many people.

AllHipHop: What was your goal in creating it? Because I saw that it only took 5 minutes to film.

Gary Chambers Jr: To cut through the noise, to try to be a part of the national conversation. To get people to pay attention to Louisiana, to get people to recognize that this race is winnable there. I think we’ve been effectively doing that.

AllHipHop: What does Louisiana mean to you?

Gary Chambers Jr: Everything. I can move anywhere in the world I want to move. I choose to live in Baton Rouge because I believe in growing where I’m planted and making that community thrive. We go to other places and we make those cities and places great. I want to see us do the same thing for Louisiana.

AllHipHop: Talk about your favorite musician. Who do you listen to?

Gary Chambers Jr: I don’t get into that game. I don’t have a favorite artist. If you ask me what I listen to all the time, it can be a mixture of Frankie Beverly, Chance the Rapper. I’m pretty eclectic.

AllHipHop: How was it getting Big Freedia to support?

Gary Chambers Jr: That was dope. It was a lot of work, but once we got Freedia, Freedia was all in and hugely supportive of the work that we do. I’m a huge fan and bounce music is huge in Louisiana, so having Freedia’s support was big.

AllHipHop: Talk about doing this fundraiser event today at The Big House. What does it mean to be in LA?

Gary Chambers Jr: I’m excited. I think we’ve got a good group of people here. Some elected officials from California are here in support of us and I’m appreciative of that. Louis and the team here have done a great job to help us get in the position. We got to raise a lot of money, we’re running against a man with 10 million dollars. California tends to be very supportive of progressive policies and so, you go where the money at. Where the money resides!

Snoop Dogg Buys Death Row Records From Previous Owner

Snoop Dogg is the new owner of Death Row Records.

The West Coast legend acquired the label from MNRK Music Group, which was formerly known as eOne Music. Snoop Dogg and Blackstone, the investment firm that manages MNRK, announced the transaction on Wednesday (February 9).

“I am thrilled and appreciative of the opportunity to acquire the iconic and culturally significant Death Row Records brand, which has immense untapped future value,” Snoop Dogg said in a press release. “It feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founding members.”

He added, “This is an extremely meaningful moment for me. I would like to personally thank the teams at Blackstone, MNRK and especially David Kestnbaum, who worked collaboratively with me over several months to make this exciting homecoming a reality. I’m looking forward to building the next chapter of Death Row Records.”

The acquisition brings Snoop Dogg’s career full circle as he now owns the label where he started his journey in the music industry. Terms of the deal haven’t been disclosed.

Death Row Records was co-founded by Dr. Dre and Suge Knight in 1991. Snoop Dogg released his classic debut Doggystyle on the label in 1993.

After a memorable run in the ‘90s, Death Row Records fell on hard times. The label filed for bankruptcy in 2006 before eventually being acquired by WIDEawake Entertainment Group in 2009.

WIDEawake’s own bankruptcy resulted in the label being sold to eOne Music in 2013. Death Row Records became a division of Hasbro at one point until eOne was bought by Blackstone in 2021.

Is a Saweetie IG Post Instantly Arousing Dating Rumors?

Seemingly, Saweetie is constantly experiencing a scathing amount of scrutiny. At times, it seems as though the public focuses more on her private life than on her emerging creativity. Be that as it may, the Bay Area Beauty’s recent social media post is instantly inciting dating rumors.

In recent past, on February 8, Icy Bae uploads an ambiguous photo. In fact, the smoldering content of that sultry picture begs the question. So, Is this an actual depiction of Ms. Control’s life? Or, is this an expressive representation of her art?

At any rate, social media sleuths are engaging their magnifying glasses. Soon, they will also be and following trails of Scooby snacks. Of course, these I-Spy detectives are whole-heartedly alleging that the “My Type” musician must be broadcasting her new bae.

Furthermore, it is the single caption of “🤫,” which apparently works to reference the Sac spitter’s mood. A velveted gloved hand, gingerly rests atop a smooth chocolate cheek. In addition, only breath separates the two. Above all, their closeness is magnetic.

However, the image may be a cunning demonstration of promotional material. Indeed, the “Tap In” entertainer does post about a recent collaboration. Within an Instagram story, she shares a link to a lyric video of Tai’Aysha’s “One Night Ting.”

Alexander Miles: The Genius Whose Invention Is Still In Use Today

Alexander Miles’ innovative ideas helped save lives and have left a lasting mark on society that can still be seen today.

Born in 1838 in Minnesota, Alexander Miles led a fascinating and varied life. Through the 1860’s he worked as a barber. After moving to Winoa from Wisconsin, Miles met his wife, Candace J.Dunlap.

His daughter was born in 1879, and shortly after, Miles moved his family to Duluth, Minnesota.

In Duluth, Miles set up and operated his own barbershop in the St. Louis Hotel. He also purchased a real estate office and eventually built a three-story brownstone building.

The area of this building quickly became known as Miles Block.

Due to his business achievements, Miles earned a spot as the first black member of the Duluth Chamber of Commerce.

During this time, Miles started to think about how to improve the way that elevators operated.

Miles became concerned about the safety features of elevators after noticing that a shaft door had been left open while riding with his daughter.

Some reports suggest that his daughter fell down an open shaft and nearly died.

Miles began to develop a new concept to improve the general function of the elevator door. Both the doors and the shaft had to be manually opened and closed until that point.

Reports of people falling into the shafts, often to their deaths, were common.

The idea was simple yet critical. When an elevator arrived or departed a given floor, the doors would open or close automatically. His design would ultimately save lives and make buildings overall far less hazardous.

To make his concept work, Miles attached a flexible belt to the elevator cage. When the belt hit the drums located along the elevator shaft, the elevator shaft doors operated at the key times.

The elevator doors worked through a series of rollers and levers.

Mile’s work paved the way for electric-powered automated doors to be used worldwide. Today they are, of course, a standard feature, and for this, Miles is directly responsible.

This wasn’t the only creation that Miles was interested in. He is also known to have toyed with the idea of creating and selling his own hair products.

However, his work to help the world and particularly black Americans, did not stop there. In 1899, Miles relocated to Chicago. It was here that he founded The United Brotherhood.

The life insurance company was set up to provide life insurance to African-Americans who were commonly unable to get coverage from other white-owned firms. Miles firmly believed that insurance companies were using discriminative rates for black Americans.

He sought to offer a more viable alternative.

Eventually, Miles relocated his family once more to Seattle due to economic concerns.

Before his death in May 1918, Miles was known as the wealthiest African-American living in the Pacific Northwest region. This was primarily due to his success as an inventor.

In 2007, he was also inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame.

Lil Durk is Flexing on IG, Pays “All CASH” For Big Ticket Item?

Seemingly, Lil Durk continues to diligently share his creativity. By the same token, his anticipated effort, 7220, is set to drop on February 22. However, until then, the Midwest musician is keeping himself occupied. Recently, he is seen flexing on IG. There, The Voice declares he pays “all cash” for this big ticket item.

Although, Mr. Banks does not include a bill-of-sale, his previous actions allow him to stand upon his fortified word. Actually, the item to which he alludes is a gleaming white Ferrari F8 Tributo. So, normally, this luxurious vehicle boasts a staggering starting price of $275,000.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CZs_kiCOId2/

However, the “Laugh Now Cry Later” lyricist boasts that he is sans a car payment. Furthermore, the social media post depicts a self-assured Senor 2X. So, to help capture the celebratory moment, Durkio uses three candid photos.

Initially, the first photo showcases the crouching Chicagoan. Albeit, he is extending both of his middle fingers. However, he is securely holding onto stacks of cash. Next, the second picture focuses on his F8 and the amount of cash he is carrying. Finally, the third photograph showcases a strategically sprawled Lil Durk.

Certainly, the rewarding red bow speaks to his accomplishment. Moreover, he matter-of-factly captions the post with, “I really paid all cash for dat n#### I’m good … 2/22/22”

Lil Wayne Picks His Top Rapper, How Does the MC Reply?

Inspiration is the highest form of human flattery. Recently, a nostalgic interview is bubbling to the surface. So, within this expose, Lil Wayne explains just who he believes is his top rapper. Of course, the gracious lyricist responds to the doting declaration.

Specifically, the admission arises from a 2020 interview with DJ Khaled. Here, the consummate producer picks Weezy F. Baby’s mind. While, hosting his Amazon Music podcast, The First One, the producer elicits the exciting answer. Soon, President Carter speaks and the world is still listening.

Moreover, as the discussion centers on the making of the Hot Boys “Block Burner.” This is when When Tunechi rattles off the reasoning on his initial inspirations, Here, Junior admits, “Missy Elliott, that was my favorite rapper.” Furthermore, he illuminates his insight. Quickly, Automatic Weezy suggests, “because that would be why I was making so many sounds.”

Next, the Hot Boy offers even more context to his commentary. Then, he recalls, “Missy was into the who [purr sound], you know what I mean? All that…’Hehehehow.’ So, when Manny Fresh would get you in the studio, he gon’ remind you, ‘Hey, you need to throw the ‘ha ha,’ in there.'”

Naturally, it is certain that the humbling comments are doubing back to Missy. In truth, Missy Elliott immediately responds to the the adoration. So, the lauded lyricist hops on Twitter. Soon, she shoots out a concise and gracious reply to Dwayne Carter, Jr. Ultimately, the illustrious MC shares, “@LilTunechi has shown me love since my 2nd album I am so humbly grateful.”

In addition, to help signify her perspective she selects both prayerful and loving emojis. Finally, she finishes her tweet by including, “love & respect back to him.”

For these reasons, amongst many others, Lil Wayne shows Missy Elliott unyielding respect.

How Jim Jones’ Fun Gucci Store Trip Went Terribly Wrong!

Jim Jones goes shopping and it all goes so wrong, so fast. Here’s how it went down.

Jim Jones and his buddy Five went shopping and it was looking like a Baller fest! The brothers were flashing money and they were joking and laughing and having quite a lot of fun. They were speaking from the insides of a Gucci store that even Jim Jones has not been to. That said, it look like they were going to have a great time.

I would have liked to attend the fest, but they probably don’t let Pro-Keds in the building.

Jim Jones posted another video, right after the happy video. In this other video, everyone’s attention was garnered. He was upset because no one came out to help them. They wanted to buy massive amounts of Gucci, but they were not treated with respect according to Jim. They didn’t even bring him sparkling water! Geez! The nerve of Gucci to treat black people with no respect in a store of such opulence. I hope you get my sarcasm.

Nevertheless, Jim Jones and Five explained that they were there for two hours and didn’t get any help! Personally, I leave if no one comes up to me within 15 minutes! Maybe that’s why I don’t have anything. Anyway that’s another story. On this post everyone from Rick Ross to Mistah FAB to Vado to Dave East and others began to comment. Some were even pushing their Black-owned businss.

And Jim Jones had a caption as well.

And just like tht s### went bad in gucci I was more hurt tht th black people was treating us like tht more thn anything

Here’s how the story ends. They were filming a rap video and wanted to do it in the Gucci Store.

On a serious note I can’t make this s### up so after eveyrhing tht happen today we go to shoot th final scene at @5ive_mics pent house and he has his whole kitchen livin room and lounge draped in gucci wall paper wich he purchased from gucci in anticipation of us wearing all th gucci S### we was gone buy for this scene wow gucci really some suckers
And for those lookin I’m from th outside sayin this is some rich privilege S### it’s really not it’s about treatin people with respect no matter th race or Wht u may think u know about a person
And for people sayin Thts spending money foolishly u never know wht a person been through so u should never worry bout Wht a person does wit his
I tell all my Nighas th same thing I hope u put some up for a rainy day and take care of ur family n responsibilities

Had a blast today haven’t had this much fun in a king time
#GoinShoppin droppin asap

First of all, I thought we stopped wearing Gucci a long time ago. They were massive boycotts and they are racism was explicitly explained by numerous people. In fact, the Hip-Hop generation was the generation that put the cease on Gucci. I don’t know how but somehow Jim Jones did not get that memo. Now he does because he got the racism firsthand. Gucci needs to spend a lot of money with black on businesses like ours and show good faith going forward. And so does Jim Jones! Spend some of that bread over here with AllHipHop and buy some ads! We love y’all brothers.

Kanye West Calls On A Higher Power To Restore His Family

Since his presidential run, which was a catalyst for the decline of his marriage, Kanye West has been spiraling with outbursts against his wife, her family, the nannies, the bodyguards, the new boyfriend, and social media.

Kanye has taken to Instagram to express his frustrations, airing out the family business and later retracting his rants.

Now, Kanye has turned to the God who led him out of the darkness before — and landed him at the top of the charts for at least three albums.

The billionaire producer and troubled star took to Instagram, again, to ask the Lord for direction. His heartfelt please read, “GOD, PLEASE BRING OUR FAMILY BACK TOGETHER.”

In addition to the prayer, he also posted six images of his wife and four children during happier times.

The artist did not say what brought on this plea, especially since things seemed to be looking up.

Over the weekend, the artist was afforded precious time with his children.

As reported by AllHipHop.com, the rapper was pictured escorting three of his children on Sunday to Jason Lee’s “The Future Brunch,” a gathering that preceded his officiating over his own Sunday Service.

But, it seems funny to me because he is apparently living his best life despite the objections of “the culture.“ By the way, that is not me speaking. I am not from that culture or any culture that they are affiliated with. One thing I am wondering about is ol’ dude’s state of mind.

Last summer, he was definitely talking about being depressed and hating life.

Nevertheless, they say the streets never forget! And that we will just have to see. Since he left, it almost feels like Kanye replaced him and his antics

Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s Widow Sues Wu-Tang Clan Productions For $1 Million In Unpaid Royalties

Russell Tyrone Jones passed away in 2004 at the age of 35. The widow of the late rapper, better known as Ol’ Dirty Bastard, claims Wu-Tang Clan Productions owes his estate at least $1 million in unpaid royalties.

Variety reports Icelene Jones is suing Wu-Tang Clan Productions for allegedly not paying royalties to the estate from 2011 to 2021. The suit also accuses Robert “RZA” Diggs’s company of failing to provide accounting statements for the past decade.

Wu-Tang Clan Productions did send a $130,000 check to the ODB estate, according to the legal documents. The estate apparently received payments from Warner-Tamerlane Publishing Corp in 2019 and 2020 as well, but the lawsuit argues the plaintiffs are owed additional money, including royalties from merchandising and videos.

Ol’ Dirty Bastard was one of the founding members of the Staten Island-based rap group Wu-Tang Clan. Rapper/producer RZA also rose in the music industry as part of the legendary Hip Hop collective.

Following their breakout moment in the early 1990s, Wu-Tang Clan presented numerous projects including the classic albums Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) and Wu-Tang Forever. Ol’ Dirty Bastard contributed to both of those releases.

In addition, Ol’ Dirty Bastard dropped solo efforts like 1995’s Return to the 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version and 1999’s N☆☆★A PLeASe. ODB is also responsible for hit singles such as “Brooklyn Zoo” and “Shimmy Shimmy Ya.”

TJ Atoms plays Russell “Ol’ Dirty Bastard” Jones on the RZA-produced Wu-Tang: An American Saga. Hulu’s fictionalized drama series about the creation of the Wu-Tang Clan was renewed for a third and final season in November 2021.

India.Arie: I Don’t Think Joe Rogan Is Racist For Using The N-Word

R&B performer India.Arie was one of the most outspoken critics of Joe Rogan. Following the lead of Neil Young, Arie announced she would remove her content from Spotify in response to Rogan allegedly spreading misinformation about COVID-19 on the platform.

India.Arie also called out The Joe Rogan Experience podcast host for his repeated use of the word n##### on his show. Spotify’s apparent low payout was a factor in Arie’s decision to take down her own music catalog and SongVersation podcast from the streaming service as well.

“I decided to pull my music and my podcast from Spotify but it’s dual. One is the Joe Rogan conversation and for me his language around race and some of the things I’ve seen and heard, but also coupled with that, there is the treatment of artists by Spotify,” said India.Arie on The Tamron Hall Show.

This week saw India.Arie make an appearance on CNN’s Don Lemon Tonight. The 4-time Grammy winner spoke about the highly-publicized Joe Rogan controversy once again.

“I knew about Joe Rogan’s insensitive comments around race before, because I’m a podcast listener, and I had heard many episodes of his podcast. When I learned of his language, I just tuned out on my own,” Arie told Don Lemon.

She continued, “As a working musician who has always had issues with Spotify, and then they bring in this Joe Rogan thing, and now it creates a thing that I can’t not speak up about. He’s not the reason, but he is the final reason.”

Eventually, the conversation on CNN focused directly on Joe Rogan’s use of the n-word. This time India.Arie offered grace to Rogan after the comedian publicly apologized. Arie added, “I don’t think Joe Rogan is racist for using [the word n#####]. I think he’s insensitive for using it. So just don’t.”
