Bobby Shmurda’s dancing helped him secure a new gig.
The multi-platinum selling rapper landed a deal to teach dance lessons on an app. Bobby Shmurda discussed his future as a dance instructor during an appearance on The Amazing AllHipHop Podcast.
“I just signed a deal with this app that’s gonna have me doing dance lessons this summer,” he told hosts Chuck Creekmur and Slops. “It’s called Tilt. It’s gonna be launching this summer. I just signed with them. And it’s gonna be doing all my dance lessons.”
Bobby Shmurda frequently displayed his love of dancing following his prison release in February 2021. But his dance moves quickly became a target of criticism. Wack 100 claimed Bobby Shmurda was “losing the streets” by dancing.
Last year, Cardi B was the most prominent Hip Hop artist to defend Bobby Shmurda’s dancing after seeing people mock him on social media.
“Y’all really be trying Bobby cause he be dancing and no lie when I used to do visits in Rikers Bobby & Rowdy were always in OBC solitary confinement cause they was really getting it rockin,” she wrote on Twitter. “Them boys ain’t punked out in jail really stood on their s### unlike a lot of rappers.”
Bobby Shmurda’s interview with AllHipHop also provided an update on his debut album, which has been delayed for years. The former Epic Records artist said he plans to drop an EP before releasing his long-awaited LP.
“EP coming, then a project,” he told Chuck Creekmur and Slops. “Because I’ve really got a project, but I’ve got too much f###### songs for an album. And f###### people’s attention spans are short. I’m not trying to give [a] m########### a 30-song album. I’ll give ‘em an EP, then an album.”

Florida has been a popular brand in hip-hop for the past few years. While it’s nice to see Florida get the recognition it deserves, the genre has begun to provide the state with many musical offerings, particularly with its thriving Hip-Hop industry.
Savannah Cristina and the dynamic Twelve’len, for example, are leading the way. And renowned performers like T-Pain, Pretty Ricky, Betty Wright, and, if we’re being serious, Ray Charles have all called Florida home.
But there’s still so much to learn.
Although the Covid pandemic has kneecapped the music industry, there are still many artists to discover. And one such artist is Jeff Moss. Jeff Moss , known as Jflexxx, is a 24 years old rising artist from Florida, causing a huge scene in the music industry.
Having millions of streams, Jflexxx is being compared to Juice Wrld, which happens to be also his biggest inspiration to do music. He started doing music in December 2021, his first single “ I Done Got Rich “ had over 100,000 streams in less than a month, and his second single “ Joe Biden “ had over 100,000 streams in 2 weeks. His most-streamed song “ Fate “ has now more than 2.2M streams on Soundcloud and with over 70,000 monthly listeners, Jflexxx is working on his upcoming album “ Prolific “.
It is rare to find a song that instantly clicks the first time you play it. But with Jflexxx’s songs, you can be sure of it. He is one of those rarities. A profound introduction to the 24-year-old singer-songwriter, his tracks possess a soulful essence and prowess that will keep you replaying the songs over and over again. There are colorful grooves and feel-good rhythms in his songs.
Many labels reached out to J but as he likes to mention, he is signed to “ himself “, by that he means to his own label “ Prolific Records “, which is centered around motivational multi-faceted music & entertainment. With producers, audio engineers, videographers, editors & talent. The passion that Jflexxx has for his music is huge, his main goal is to keep making music and inspire millions of people around the world.
The internet has given many the opportunity to showcase their talents independently. Not many have been able to achieve this easily. Establishing yourself in a creative industry can be tough, but people make it happen through hard work and commitment to their art. Mohamed Rashid, who comes from the Netherlands and is only 21 years old, has made this happen.
He is a YouTuber who is slowly moving towards music production. He always knew that his true passion lay in creating beats that mattered to him. The music he’s been producing is where his true dedication lies. Rashid comes off as a very relaxed person through the videos he creates on YouTube, but there’s more to him than just that.
Rashid has two YouTube channels where he has more than 65,000 and 100,000 subscribers, respectively. This has been possible since his followers have been able to connect with his content really well. They also appreciate the music that Rashid releases.
He is someone who has been inspired to create high-quality music from a very young age. Rashid created music with his friends and didn’t know that music would become a major part of his life eventually. His work has been inspirational for many up-and-coming artists and young minds as well. In 2020, Rashid was nominated as the Best Gamer by The Best Social Awards. He did this by sharing his live game streaming videos with his audience. Once people started to show more interest in this, Rashid became a lot more confident in sharing this with the world.
He strongly believes that if he is able to find the right demographic and create remarkable videos, so can anyone else if they are determined enough. Despite everything that Rashid has been able to achieve, there is a lot more he is looking forward to going after. He aims to collaborate with bigger artists and convert these big numbers into a concrete ROI.
He takes a lot of pride in everything he’s accomplished so far, but he knows that the journey hasn’t ended yet. Rashid wants to build more for the people he loves so they can live peaceful lives. Individuals like him are very inspirational, and there is a lot to learn from their experiences as well. His advice to others is to make a successful life out of what they love. If you can stop doubting yourself, the chance of making things happen is far greater. Rashid’s accomplishments are proof that anything is possible if you put your mind and soul into it.
Rashid is inspired by many musicians and artists around him. These people are the reason why he hasn’t given up. Their journeys have taught him that the good things in life do not come easy. Surprisingly, Rashid is still a college student and aims to graduate very soon. He is indeed very mature for his age, and the goals he has set for himself allow him to become a stronger person. He is a role model for many up-and-coming artists and musicians of this generation.

Do you want to own the rights to Tupac Shakur’sDon Killuminati album art?
You might have a chance after the estate has sanctioned an NFT sale of the visual from one of his most prolific albums.
As the world prepares to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory, fans will have a chance to own a piece of history for themselves.
This project was the only album the late Death Row artist recorded under his alias Makaveli and had hits like “Hail Mary” and “To Live In Die In L.A.”
The piece being made into an NFT, according to TMZ, is the cover art that displays Shakur as Jesus the Christ, the Christian incarnate and only-begotten Son of God, on the cross with a crown of thorns during his Good Friday crucifixion.
People were outraged in 1996, two months after his death, when the picture went to market with a parental advisory sticker covering his crotch.
Ronald “Riskie Forever” Brent created the original painting, which Pac handpicked to be the album cover for the legendary album because he felt it represented him being crucified by the media.
Heritage Auctions is selling the original, physical painting to the highest bidder starting today (May 17th) through June 18th. The 1 of 1 NFT has also been created for a sweepstake being held as well.
One lucky winner will get the 1 of 1 collectible Gold NFT, 50 winners will get a Chrome NFT, and 100 winners will receive a collectible tagged NFT of the artwork.

Imagine your mom being sentenced to a life sentence and not being able to celebrate Mother’s Day for 29 years straight. This is the struggle celebrity stylist Miquelle West faces, as each year, the holiday reminds her exactly how corrupt the system is and the devastating fact that her mother has been trapped behind bars since her adolescent years.
On the beautiful Sunday in Los Angeles (May 8th), Miquelle West hosted a reception at RCNSTRCT with an art installation by HUFR in the heart of Melrose Ave, in honor of Michelle West’s clemency petition.
The petition reads, “My mom’s federal life sentence was mandatory back in the 90s. But if she were convicted of the same thing and sentenced today, a life sentence would NOT be mandatory, and a judge would get to decide what is fair. The judge who sentenced her even remarked that his hands were tied. Unfortunately, that change in the law did not apply to old cases. So my mother remains in prison, despite multiple prison staff writing in support of her character and her impressive prison record – which is full of achievements and accolades.”
Miquelle’s long list of clients includes styling for Diddy’s platform REVOLT, Blueface, NLE Choppa, and collaborating with the late Christian Audigier.
Miquelle states, “I refuse to get married or have children until my mother can be there, in person, to support me. It feels like we are both serving a life sentence every single day. Right now, only President Biden can free my mother by commuting her life sentence. I hope he will see that my mother truly has earned a second chance.”
The #FreeMichelleWest movement runs deep for Miquelle, who held back tears as she discussed her mother serving a LIFE sentence for her first and only offense. AllHipHop was present at the event. Read our conversation below.
AllHipHop: What is #FreeMichelleWest?
Miquelle West: #FreeMichelleWest was created to raise awareness for my mother. Similar to #BlackLivesMatters which began as a hashtag. The #FreeMichelleWest evolved into a movement.
AllHipHop: Why is today so significant?
Miquelle West: Today is so significant because for nearly 3 decades, my mother has been incarcerated on Mother’s Day and this year with the support of Champion, I am honoring my mother.
AllHipHop: Who is Michelle West?
Miquelle West: A mother, a daughter, sister, and mentor but most importantly she is my mother.
AllHipHop: What is the story behind the FreeMichelleWest Movement?
Miquelle West: The story behind the FreeMichelleWest movement was brought to life in a documentary produced by Mr. Sean “Puffy “Combs.
AllHipHop: What do you enjoy about styling and how has that evolved over time?
Miquelle West: I enjoy working with my clients and being a part of the creative process to bring their vision to life. My career in the fashion industry began as a teenager. In addition to my styling expertise, I have a background in luxury retail and fashion design. There are so many variables to who I am as a stylist and I continue to evolve.
AllHipHop: How did you get started in styling some of our favorite artists and celebrities?
Miquelle West: My career as a stylist began working as an intern with my mentor Patricia Field costume designer for Sex And The City. I interned with her for 5 years working for free. I learned every aspect of the styling business. My goal as an intern was to become a stylist not a personal shopper. I have always had an eye for beauty and luxury. That’s my forte.
AllHipHop: How have you used your platform to create change?
Miquelle West: I have used my platform to change the way people view prisoners and their children. My goal has always been not to become a statistic. I want my story to inspire young people with parents who are incarcerated and not let it define them. We are not the worst thing that has happen to us.
AllHipHop: What’s next for you?
Miquelle West: I can not predict the future, but what I would like to do a project with a luxury house so I am working towards my goal to achieve it. One thing my mother has taught me is to always think BIG and to dream with my eyes open.
AllHipHop: How has your mother influenced your success today?
Miquelle West: When I was in fashion design school, my goal was to become a fashion designer. My mother suggested that I launch my career as a stylist to get my name out to the world so I wouldn’t be an unknown fashion designer. My career as a stylist has been so rewarding and has given me the ability to work with amazing people. My mother pushes me to go after whatever I want in life. She quotes DJ Khaled: “they don’t want to see you win, so you have to win every way imaginable.” One of her favorite lines.
AllHipHop: Can you tell us more about the current progress in the quest for clemency?
Miquelle West: The current process is raising awareness and getting more people to sign my mom’s clemency petition on change.org. Anyone wanting to track the progress of the Free Michelle West movement should follow me on Instagram for updates.
AllHipHop: How has music and entertainment motivated you throughout all of this?
Miquelle West: Music is a motivator. Music from my favorite artists puts me in the zone when I am working, relaxing or feeling down. I can listen to music and take my mind to another place. Being in the entertainment and fashion industry is a form of escape from reality for me because it’s all about the fantasy. Music, entertainment, fashion, art are things that help me survive the adversity I deal with on a daily basis.
AllHipHop: Is there someone you’d like to style?
Miquelle West: Kanye West. I’d like to work with Kanye because I get him and I know he will get me. I am the female version of Kanye in many ways. We are both only children. We both know what it’s like to live life without our mothers. We are our mother’s only child, and we both have the same last name: West.
I’ve been wanting to work with Kanye since 2003 when I met him in NYC on an elevator on the day I arrived in New York to attend Parsons School of Fashion Design. I think working with Kanye will lead to big things with fashion and freedom. He is working to free Larry Hoover, I am working to free my mother. Why shouldn’t we be working together?
The two-story mansion is 18,923-square-foot. The palatial-like estate features nine bedrooms and 11 and a half bathrooms. It also has a chef’s kitchen, two offices, a wine cellar, an eight-car garage, and an indoor basketball court with an exercise area.
Alex Carnot of Morgan Whitney Realty said the place is massive, with parking on the property for 15 to 20 cars.
“It’s one of the biggest homes in Southwest Ranches,” he said. “If you want the seclusion and privacy, Southwest Ranches is the way to go.”
The company’s owner Elliot Grainge said Trippie Redd is the type of artist his company wants to invest in.
“We launched 10K Projects as a label where artists have completed creative freedom and the support to realize their vision,” he said in a press release. “Trippie Redd has thrived under these conditions, releasing a lifetime’s worth of music in just five short years and becoming a singular voice in contemporary music.”
This $30 million is on top of what Trippie has earned over his career. This new pad is a drop in the bucket for the young Hip-Hop money maker.
Reports reveal that the late rapper Lil Keed had complained to his inner circle about having pain in his stomach days before his unfortunate demise.
The pain intensified so much, TMZ reports, that he had to go to the hospital to seek relief. The sources say that once in the hospital, doctors told the YSL rapper his liver and kidneys were failing him.
The Atlanta native had been living a clean and sober life, a drastic lifestyle change from previous years when he battled with alcoholism and drug addiction. Those factors possibly contributed to the organ failure that took his life.
“I love you sooooo much baby,” she wrote. “what I’m post to do with out you. I can’t breathe right sleep right nothing I don’t even wanna talk to nobody. Keed I can’t take this why you leave US bru. What am I supposed to tell Naychur? What am I gone tell our new baby ? Keed I just told you the other day if you left me with these two kids I was gone loose my mind. my Mind is lost baby.”
She added, “WE LOVE U FOREVER I hope I have a son he gone be your 1st JR.”
Many have mourned Lil Keed’s death, but none probably have felt the sting as much as his flesh and blood.
His brother, Lil Gotit, posted on social media, “Can’t believe I seened u die today bro I did all my cries I know what u want me to do and that’s go hard for Mama Daddy Our Brothers Naychur and Whiteboy.”
Lil Keed was not named in the current legal trials of the YSL crew, but his death is undoubtedly complicating things for those at the label that loved him as they battle with Young Thug and Gunna’s legal drama.
Keed died days after Young Thug and Gunna were indicted on a 56-count RICO indictment, which claims YSL doubled as a gang causing havoc on the Atlanta streets by committing murders, shootings, dealing drugs and other crimes.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office is expected to do an autopsy this week.
R. Kelly has found a friend in prison, and his new buddy might just blow your mind. Reports now say the “I Believe I Can Fly” singer has gotten cool with Frank James, the Pennsylvania man that shot up the subway in Sunset Park, Brooklyn!
According to the Daily News, three sources have stated the two started their bromance after James was sent to the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center facility.
As reported by AllHipHop.com, the Chicago singer is there waiting to be sentenced on his sex trafficking conviction. For years people joked about his attraction to underage girls and boys, but a 2021 case, prompted by Dream Hampton’s “Surviving R. Kelly”docuseries, confirmed many of the rumors with a guilty verdict.
His trial starts on April 12th, and Frank James, like R. Kelly, has pleaded not guilty.
“Both do get along. They actually sit together and eat together,” said one insider said. Another person shared, “They talk about TV shows. They go out to rec together. They’re buds.”
The two are together in the same facility because they are both considered “high risk,” a status that will keep them out of the general population.
The unit the two are in also houses government cooperators. But R. Kelly is not James’ roommate. He is actually nobody’s. He has his own room.
The music video for Moneybagg Yo’s “Rocky Road” is currently trending in YouTube’s music section. The track features Florida-bred rapper Kodak Black.
Moneybagg Yo joined Eddie Francis on Apple Music 1 to discuss his latest single. The Memphis, Tennessee native talked about working with Kodak for the collaboration.
“Anytime me and Kodak link up, there be chemistry,” said Moneybagg Yo. “It be good. I wanted to come with a different tempo than ‘Lower Level,’ the other joint we have.”
The Collective Music Group representative continued, “It took us probably like two weeks to do [‘Rocky Road’]… when we went in there and did it… It came out good… I’m excited about the track… I feel like it’s the warmup.”
Previously, Moneybagg Yo and Kodak Black linked up for “Lower Level” in 2018. The Ben Billions-produced song lives on the Reset album which also features J. Cole, Future, YG, Kevin Gates, Rvssian, and Jeremih.
Moneybagg told Apple Music 1 that he plans to drop a solo single next week. He also teased a full-length surprise album will come out in the near future. That proposed project will follow 2021’s chart-topping A Gangsta’s Pain studio LP.
In addition to collaborating with Moneybagg Yo for a new record, Kodak Black also garnered a lot of attention over the last week for his contributions to Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers album. Black is credited as a feature on the “Silent Hill” track.

The BBMAs Featured A Performance By Diddy & Special Guests
Diddy also hit the stage at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards. The New York City-raised entrepreneur performed his new track “Gotta Move On” featuring Bryson Tiller.
King Combs joined his dad for the BBMA performance. In addition, Sean “Diddy” Combs recruited Louisville rapper Jack Harlow and Harlem singer Teyana Taylor for the televised set as well.
Jack Harlow ran through his own hit record “First Class” at the show. Teyana Taylor assisted Diddy with a live rendition of “Mo Money, Mo Problems” by the late Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace.
Louisville rapper Jack Harlow became a trending topic this week for reasons other than his new album. The “First Class” hitmaker admitting he did not know Brandy Norwood and Ray J Norwood are siblings ignited a lot of online conversation.
While appearing on Hot 97, Harlow said, “Brandy and Ray J are siblings? Nobody’s ever told me that in my life.” That #WhiteIshWednesday segment also included Harlow not recognizing Brandy’s “Angel in Disguise” single.
Some people took issue with a white rapper like Jack Harlow not being more knowledgeable about the popular African-American entertainers and their musical contributions. For example, R&B vocalist India. Arie slammed Harlow last week.
Brandy has now reacted to Jack Harlow’s comments on the radio program about her family. The Grammy winner tweeted, “I will murk this dude in rap at 43 on his own beats and then sing [his] ass to sleep. ♠️.”
Around fifteen minutes later, the singer/actress returned to the social media platform to let her followers know her response to Harlow was meant to be taken lightheartedly. Brandy added, “See, I can have a little fun too❤️hehe…all love❤️❤️❤️.”

The award recognizes Jamal Edwards’ outstanding contribution to the music industry as a music entrepreneur, DJ, and founder of the multifaceted music platform SB.TV.
Jamal Edwards’ family will receive the award during a November ceremony in London. The event is in aid of the BRIT Trust, Nordoff Robbins, and The Jamal Edwards Self Belief Trust, established by his family following his passing. The Trust honors and continues Jamal’s legacy, targeting three areas: combatting homelessness, supporting people with mental health issues and providing young people with essential life skills.
Jamal Edwards’ Family To Receive The Award
“It is very humbling for the family to be accepting this award on behalf of our beloved Jamal and we are delighted to have the MITS highlight the Jamal Edwards Self Belief Trust alongside The BRIT Trust and Nordoff Robbins,” Jamal’s mother, Brenda Edwards, said.
“We know that Jamal will be looking down on us on 7th November – busting with pride that his absolute love of the music industry and giving back to the less fortunate in society has been recognised in this way. Thank you MITS!”
Jamal, who passed away in February aged 31, is the youngest ever recipient of the award; and the first posthumous recipient. Previous recipients include Sir Elton John, Sir Lucian Grainge, Kylie Minogue, Pete Tong, and Annie Lennox.
Co-chair of the MITS Award committee, Toby Leighton-Pope, added: “Jamal Edwards changed the face of the music industry in his 31 years, his achievements could be on par with someone 60 years into the business. His influence on the music scene as it is today should never be underestimated, just look at some of the U.K.’s biggest artists, tours and hits today, and Jamal will have played a part in some way. That’s why he is so deserving of this year’s MITS Award.”
LeBron James is not competing for an NBA championship this year, but the Los Angeles Lakers player is on Twitter engaging with his followers. The 18-time All-Star conducted an online Q&A on Monday.
One user asked LeBron James to name his Top 5 Hip Hop albums of all time. The 37-year-old superstar athlete focused on projects from the 1990s and 2000s.
“The Chronic, Doggystyle, Black Album, Life After Death and ummm It Was Written. But I have so many more to name for real!” responded LeBron James.
The Chronic, Doggystyle, Black Album, Life After Death and ummm It Was Written. But I have so many more to name for real!
Dr. Dre released The Chronic in 1992. His protégé, Snoop Dogg, then dropped Doggystyle the following year. It Was Written by Nas hit record store shelves in 1996.
The Notorious B.I.G.’s posthumous project, Life After Death, came out in 1997. Jay-Z’s The Black Album arrived in 2003. All five LPs are widely considered classics in Hip Hop circles.
In addition, LeBron James was asked to choose between the 90s-era movies Juice and Boyz n the Hood. James selected Boyz n the Hood, John Singleton’s Academy Award-nominated masterpiece.
The 4-time NBA Most Valuable Player also mentioned The Alchemist as his favorite book. Brazilian author Paulo Coelho published the novel in 1988. The Alchemist has reportedly sold over 65 million copies.

Both rappers look set to bring their best as Diz plans to prove he is “irrefutably the best rapper on earth,” in the battle. “Time to raise the bar once again,” he declared.
“There’s no one else more equipped than these two legends,” said co-founder Lush One. I grew up inspired by KXNG Crooked, and Dizaster sets the standard in this space, plus they both also happen to be from the West. Let’s just chill, to ‘The Next Episode.’”
He also said the battle and the plans GTX is rolling out will shift the culture.
“This is not only huge for battle rap culture but also monumental for Hip Hop as a whole,” he said. “We are here to break barriers and set new precedents with this battle, creating a platform for not only battle rappers but the best lyricists in the industry to test their skills and put on incredible performances that will be seminal moments in history.”

Now the Ghanaian Diaspora Affairs Office of the President shared photos of their Deputy Director, Dr. Nadia Musah meeting with Kendrick Lamar. In A Facebook post, they note “the importance of Arts, Culture, Music and the global diaspora engaging with Ghana.”
“This visit is significant because we want the Global African & Afro Descendant family to recognize Ghana as the ‘gateway to the ‘motherland” or ”the Black Mecca” where one can reignite their passions, inspirations and connect with people; where one can launch an album, a book, an exhibition, a culinary experience and much much more. To Kendrick Lamar, his beautiful family, his team and friends, and to our Diaspora we say Akwaaba!” the Facebook post read.

The post also states, “Kendrick Lamar is in Ghana shooting a documentary,” although this is not confirmed.
