DaBaby Blesses Indigent Individual, Overpays For This Item?

As with most people, DaBaby possesses a complex array of characteristics and experiences. Together, they help to fortify his moral compass and to reinforce his perspective. So, recently on Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 13), the “Sticked Up” rapper actually blesses an indigent individual. Moreover, he actually overpays for an item.

Of course, Billion Dollar Baby was dripping in Los Angeles Rams attire. Perhaps, it is the compelling charisma that Baby Jesus exudes which encourages the curious man. Or, maybe God’s favor was too astounding to ignore. Whatever the reason, the determined solicitor approaches a somewhat receptive audience.

Above all, it is the Divine timing which appears to resonate with the “HIT” entertainer. Although, a simple radio is up for sale. In fact, it appears as though, the notorious narrator is moved by the Spirit. Truly, the “BOP” brawler exercises patience and intently listens to the determined man.

Following, a test of its volume the matter of price rises to the surface. Soon, for the affordable item, the coy character merely suggests five bucks. To this, DaBaby quickly contemplates the idea. Next, the following exchange amazes the unsuspecting man.

Although, DaBaby, often earns headlines from his previous acrimonious interactions, this situation demonstrates more of the depth of his character. Just think, if the cameras were not there to capture the moment, would the world believe his generosity?

Julia Fox Says Kanye West’s Behavior And Fame Led To Break Up

Julia Fox has indicated that Kanye West’s spontaneous lifestyle and his fame led to their split.

The rapper and “Uncut Gems” actress started dating in early January, but after a whirlwind romance, Julia’s representative confirmed the pair had parted ways on Monday.

In an article for The Cut, published shortly after the breakup was announced, the 32-year-old indicated Kanye’s “hectic” schedule wasn’t sustainable for her.

“When I’m with Ye… But even when I’m with my son, it’s also very difficult,” Julia Fox commented. “It feels like you’re just going with the flow, but the flow is very hectic if that makes sense. It’s a lot of last-minute decisions or deciding to go somewhere at the last minute and activating when needed.”

Julia Fox went on to share that she was stunned by Kanye’s level of fame and grappled with the concept of celebrity.

“I’ve never been operating at the level that Ye is,” the star continued. “I never wanted to be super-mega-famous. It’s a life-ender for some celebrities. They become reclusive and paranoid and hide. I refuse to not live authentically.”

Julia shares a 13-month-old son named Valentino with her ex-husband Peter Artemiev.

Meanwhile, Kanye, 44, is going through divorce proceedings with his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian, with whom he has four children.

Roddy Ricch Refutes Meek Mill Rumor, Shows Love To Nipsey!

Recently, Roddy Ricch stops by and chops it up with DJ Akademiks. While visiting the, Off The Record podcast, the Left Coast lyricist readily refutes a Meek Mill rumor. In fact, he shows both love and respect to the late and great, Nipsey Hussle.

Accordingly, Meek vents his utter annoyance with Atlantic Records. As a matter of fact, the Philly native harbors angst towards the established label. Therefore, he insists that its responsible for the discourse which is currently eroding his relationships with Rick Ross and the “Project Dreams” poet. Above all, for helping to acquire “The Box” artist, he believes Atlantic owes him.

In addition, the Dream Chasers CEO, overwhelmingly insists that he’s responsible for connecting the Compton wordsmith with Atlantic. So, this is where their respective recollections collides with reality. Moreover, each man boasts differing accounts.

Truthfully, Meek maintains that he holds an instrumental part in introducing the Antisocial MC to the majors and to the masses. Whereas, the “Late At Night” rhymer vehemently denies these assertions. In fact, he fully credits Nip for breaking down and delivering the business of Hip-Hop.

Furthermore, Roddy recalls, “My situation with Atlantic was already solidified due to Nipsey Hussle walking me into the building.” As the conversation continues, the Live Life Fast entertainer does affirm Meek’s “good heart.” So, when does the philanthropic advice end and does the actual business begin?

Press play; Roddy Ricch definitely describes his perspective.

The Game’s Supporters Feel He Should Have Played The Super Bowl, Not 50 Cent

The Game is not playing! First of all, the new music sounds amazing so there’s that. The legendary rapper from the West Coast, Bompton, is making a bit of a stink right. As you all know, over the weekend, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Mary J Blige, 50 Cent, and Snoop Dogg performed at the Super Bowl halftime show. Even the young bull Kendrick Lamar got in the mix and gave a stellar performance. It was a historic moment, where Hip-Hop was was the headliner of the whole thing. Before that, we were the side dish, not the main meal.

But, The Game was not meant to be. I do think it would’ve been pretty cool to see Snoop, a known Crip, and The Game, a known blood, performing on stage together in peace and harmony. It would’ve been a dope act of solidarity. It wasn’t like Snoop Dogg was hiding his affiliation. He threw it way up! Also, some people erroneously noted that it was some kind of all West Coast show. It was not, even though it was the dominating vibe. Neither Mary J Blige or Eminem hail from the West Coast.

So, the supporters of The Game expressed their discontent with the decision to include 50 Cent and not him. (Some say they should have had both, but the halftime show is onlin 12 minutes!) I think there’s something there, but I also think that 50 Cent is the bigger draw at the moment. That is not to take anything away from The Game. He is extremely dope and I think he’s on the verge of a major comeback. But, in a world of relationships and camaraderie, it just seems like those guys and gals all work best together. I don’t know if they’ll ever be another opportunity for something like this, but maybe he can get in on the next one.

Here are some of the comments I saw on Boxden.

$NOT – “ALONE” ft. Trippie Redd

$NOT was misunderstood with the Doja Cat line in his last song and she called him out for it online, but this song isn’t going to give him any issues. This is a emo banger and he’s joined by the goth inspired Ohio rapper Trippie Redd for this laid back cut. Check it out as $NOT and Trippie Redd join forces for “ALONE.”

Huey Newton – Born Leader And Founder Of The Black Panther Party

Huey Newton created possibly the most defining historical movement ever seen in the Black community.

Newton was the co-founder of the Black Panther Party, along with Bobby Seale. Their organization spearheaded a number of community support programs such as medical clinics, clothing banks, and food banks.

Huey Newton was born on February 17th, 1942 in Monroe, Louisiana.

After moving to Oakland, California as a youth, Huey Newton was arrested numerous times for criminal offenses. He faced a number of obstacles in his life and specifically learned the importance of having to question everything during these tough times.

After learning to read by deciphering Plato’s Republic (a major influential work during his early years) Newton soon became a force to be reckoned with.

After attending Merritt College in 1966 and studying at San Francisco Law School and the University of California at Santa Cruz, he co-founded the Black Panther Party for Self Defense (BPP), a left-wing organization advocating the right to self-defense for Black people in the US.

Hugely influenced by Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin, and Malcolm X’s teachings, the party achieved international recognition through their involvement in the Black Power movements throughout the 1960s and 70s.

Newton was at the center of a number of controversies, including the fatal shooting of Oakland Police Department officer John Frey in 1967. A court dismissed the charges in 1970, and Newton was released on August 5th, 1970.

From here, he worked hard to develop the tenets of the Black Panther Party as a way to support the American people and go against imperialist systems, such as the Nixon administration of the time.

After a trip to Asia, the Black Panther Party started incorporating North Korean ideology Juche thought into its teachings, such as the idea of man being the master of his destiny and masses working towards self-reliance towards socialism.

During the 1970s, Newton experienced a number of allegations of assault which partly forced him to flee with his wife Gwen Fontaine to Havana, Cuba.

Upon returning in 1977, he stood trial for the murder of Kathleen Smith and assault on his tailor Preston Callins, who he was accused of calling Newton “baby.”

Newton was later acquitted of the assault and the trial for Smith’s murder was not retried after two trials.

By the end of the 1970s, the Black Panthers were not considered the same political force they once were. It was during this time he earned a Ph.D. in the Social philosophy program of History of Consciousness from the University of California at Santa Cruz, graduating in 1980.

On August 22nd, 1989 Huey Newton was murdered in West Oakland California by Tyrone Robinson, who stated that his motive was to advance in a prison gang he was a member of.

His funeral was attended by 1,300 where his towering achievements were celebrated.

His influence has been seen in so many areas of popular culture. Huey Newton has been name-checked by Public Enemy, Tupac, and Kendrick Lamar. He is considered one of the defining figures in the Black History movement, and his presence can be felt everywhere today.

Tyrese Gibson Reveals His Mother Has Passed Away

Tyrese Gibson’s mother passed away in hospital following a battle with pneumonia and Covid-19 on Monday.

In early February, the “Fast and Furious” actor revealed his mother, Priscilla Murray, had been placed into an induced coma and asked his followers to pray for her recovery.

He kept sharing updates on her health from the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital, and on Monday, he announced that she had passed away.

“On behalf of my family and everyone who ever spent anytime praying tor (sic) my mother This is the saddest moment of my life………. My sweet Valentine just passed away,” Tyrese wrote beside a video. “May the lord Jesus Christ and his angels open the doors of heavens and embrace her………. Is Verzuz To Be Paid With Anthony Hamilton And Musiq Soulchild?

It looks like Verzuz is going to be a paid program starting now. As you know, the highly beloved virtual concert series started on Instagram and then made its way into our collective hearts, thanks to Swiss beats and timberland. The brand is grown tremendously and the last one they did was an incredible display of talent and vitriol, between Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and the Three 6 Mafia.

That was then, and in the words of Fat Joe, “Yesterday’s price is not today’s price.” So, it appears that the free model has expired. At least for now!

Some fans have balked at the fact that Triller has made it clear that this Verzuz, between Anthony Hamilton and Musiq Soulchild, will not be free. It will be paid – kinda! At least you have to sign up for a 14-day trial run of Triller to get it. People seem to be really angry about it, especially the cesspool of social media! I think we all knew this was going to happen. Tim and Swizz sold it a minute ago!

I don’t see what the big deal is. I do think they’ll go back to the Instagram and Triller hybrid model with some bigger names and higher-level Hip-Hop and come together. It’s highly likely that the sponsorship on this one was low and they decided to find a way to get their money back on the back in with subscriptions. Remember, the ones that are going to be seen by zillions of people always had a huge sponsor attached. I don’t know who the sponsor is for this, but I do know it’s after Valentine’s Day. Has it been before Valentine’s Day or on Valentine’s Day, maybe there could have been Hallmark or I’ll chocolate company as a sponsor? Afterward, not so much. I guess we’ll see how this goes.

Vince Staples Breaks Down ‘Ramona Park Broke My Heart’ Concept Album

California’s Vince Staples has been one of the most critically-acclaimed rappers of the last decade. Following his self-titled studio LP in 2021, the West Coaster is ready to return with Ramona Park Broke My Heart.

“It’s symbolic of home,” explains Staples about the album’s title. “And everyone has a home. Even though it’s very personal to me, everyone can relate to it. That’s why I thought it would work for this chapter.”

Vince Staples released the Ramona Park Broke My Heart lead single “Magic” on Valentine’s Day. The Mustard-produced track came out via Blacksmith Recordings/Motown Records.

“I think [‘Magic’ will] put the listener in a good state of mind,” says the 28-year-old Odd Future associate. “The mood of it defines the project.”

Vince Staples peaked at #21 on the Billboard 200 chart, #14 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and #12 on the Top Rap Albums chart. Kenny Beats provided production for the entire album.

“There’s a direct correlation,” Staples points out on the connection between 2021’s Vince Staples and 2022’s Ramona Park Broke My Heart. “They were kind of created at the same time.”

The North Long Beach native adds, “I was in a similar state of mind. I’m still working through things and the questions that life poses. This album will make even more sense if you heard the previous one… This one has more answers.”

Vince Staples presently serves as a supporting act on Tyler, The Creator’s 34-date “Call Me If You Get Lost” tour. The North American trek kicked off on February 8 in San Diego. Staples will also be back on the Coachella Festival stage on April 17 and 24.

Additionally, Vince Staples is the author of a graphic novel titled Limbo Beach. The book was co-written by Bryan Edward Hill (Batman & the Outsiders) and Chris Robinson (Children of the Atom). Buster Moody (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) worked as the illustrator.

Nick Cannon Drops “Alone” Single As An Ode To Ex-Wife Mariah Carey

It appears Nick Cannon still has feelings for his former wife Mariah Carey. The daytime television talk show presenter released a new song titled “Alone” on Valentine’s Day.

“Alone” samples Mariah Carey’s “Love Takes Time” off the award-winning vocalist’s self-titled 1990 album. On the single, Cannon sings about wanting his love interest back.

Nick Cannon is preparing to drop a 12-track R&B mixtape in the very near future. Raw N B: The Explicit Tape is scheduled to arrive on DSPs on February 18.

“This is the gospel of my broken soul – this is as raw as it gets,” says Nick Cannon about Raw N B The Explicit Tape. This will be Cannon’s first project since 2020’s The Miseducation of the Negro You Love to Hate.

In addition to being a recording artist, Nick Cannon is known as a veteran television personality. The 41-year-old comedian/actor serves as the host for The Masked Singer and Wild ‘N Out.

Nick Cannon also wrote and directed VH1’s Miracles Across 125th Street. The NCredible Entertainment founder tapped Lil Kim, DC Young Fly, Jim Jones, Rickey Smiley, Teyana Taylor, and more stars for the 2021 movie.

“I’m excited to bring all the uplifting elements of Gospel, Hip Hop, and comedy together with such an inspiring and talented cast,” stated Cannon about Miracles Across 125th Street.

U.K Rapper Digga D Delivers “Toxic Pt.2” In Time For Valentine’s Day

Digga D underestimated his fans’ willingness to hear new music when he issued them with a challenge on Monday (Feb. 14).

The West London drill rapper was feeling the love on Valentine’s Day and offered his fans a gift. “50k comments I’ll drop toxic 2.0 today,” he told his Instagram followers.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CZ9fKqEO9nS/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Digga D then followed up with some snippets of the song, which he also shared on social media, further teasing his fans.

However, just a few hours later, eager fans had left more than the 50,000 comments Digga D asked for. The “Pump 101” hitmaker had no alternative but to release the track.

“Man of my word but I hate you lot for making me drop this😐,” he wrote, announcing the release of the song.

“Toxic Pt.2” is the follow-up to 2021’s “Toxic,” also released on Valentine’s Day. Digga D stuck to the script from the first song, boasting about his less than romantic ways with women. He opens the melodic track with, “You know I still pay for v#####? So bust down watch is a minor.”

The unfinished song was first previewed earlier this month. Digga D hopped on Instagram Live to share a snippet with fans as he read the lyrics from his phone. He also hinted to fans that he was on the remix to Hazey’s viral hit “Packs & Potions,” which was confirmed the following day.

Digga D joined Liverpool’s rising drill star, Hazey along with Unknown T and M1llionz on the remix. Check it out below.

Meek Mill Reacts To Lil Mama Wanting To Give Him His Flowers

Muni Long’s “Hrs And Hrs” provided a lot of inspiration for this year’s Valentine’s Day. For example, Lil Mama quoted the song on her Instagram Story as she gave a special shout-out to Meek Mill.

“I wanna give you your flowers,” wrote Lil Mama in an IG caption as “Hrs And Hrs” played in the background. The post also featured a photo of Meek Mill surrounded by pink hearts, pink flowers, and red flowers emojis.

The Shade Room uploaded Lil Mama’s tribute to the Philadelphia-raised emcee to its own Instagram page. Both Mama and Meek added comments under the image.

“😂😂😂😂Ahhhhhhhhh This GOT IT… ‘I Wanna Give You Yah Flowerrrrrrs’🤣. 💎💦,” stated New York City-bred Lil Mama. In addition, Meek Mill commented, “Ok mammaaa lol 😘.”

It is not clear if these social media interactions are a sign of a new celebrity couple. Meek Mill has dated another female performer in the past. The Expensive Pain album creator was in a two-year relationship with Nicki Minaj.

On a 2018 episode of Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta, Bow Wow attempted to set up Lil Mama with his friend BT. The blind date apparently did not work out well. Mama even blasted Bow Wow for suggesting she and BT would be “f###### in a week.”

Dr. Dre Dominates iTunes Chart Following Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show

On February 13, Dr. Dre and his friends took over the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. This year’s halftime show for Super Bowl LVI earned widespread praise for its 1990s/2000s nostalgic feel.

Fellow headliners Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, and Kendrick Lamar joined Dr. Dre for the live televised performance. 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak also appeared as special guests.

The Super Bowl LVI mid-game concert turned into a commercial boom for Dr. Dre. At the moment, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer is dominating the iTunes all-genre chart.

Dr. Dre’s “The Next Episode” featuring Snoop Dogg currently sits at #1 on iTunes. Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s “Still D.R.E.” is the #2 song on the rankings.

“California Love” by 2Pac featuring Dr. Dre and Roger Troutman, “Forgot About Dre” by Dr. Dre featuring Eminem, and “Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang” by Dr. Dre featuring Snoop Dogg are also in the Top 10.

Additionally, Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” is the #4 song on the iTunes chart. Mary J. Blige’s “Family Affair” is in the Top 5 too at #5. A 50 Cent single made the cut as well. “In da Club” is the #9 track on iTunes.

Wendy Williams “Strenuously Denies” Claims About Her Mental Health

Wendy Williams has spoken out about concerns for her mental health amid her legal battle with Wells Fargo and absence from her show.

The Jasmine Brand shared a statement from LaShawn Thomas, Esq., attorney for Wendy Williams.

Wendy Williams “wants the world to know that she strenuously denies all allegations about her mental health and well-being,” the statement began. “During this hiatus from the show, Wendy has employed holistic health professionals to help her reach optimal health during her treatment of Graves’ disease and thyroid concerns.”

The attorney revealed that Wendy Williams is saddened by Wells Fargo’s decision to “believe the allegations of a former employee” who has a grudge. She claims the employee is “upset because she no longer has direct and unfettered access” to Wendy’s finances.

Moreover, Wendy’s rep states that Wells Fargo left her with no alternative after they refused to “honor her Power of Attorney, granting her son authority to make inquiries to the bank on Wendy’s behalf.” Wendy Williams blamed the former employee for spreading rumors and “believes that all of the false narratives,” come from the person she once considered “a friend.”

The attorney continued, “Wendy can’t believe that Wells Fargo has wrongly denied her access to her funds without justification.” Furthermore, Thomas states Wells Fargo only raised suspicions when “Wendy made it known that she no longer wanted to bank” with them.

Wendy Williams “Is On The Mend”

The attorney says Wendy wants to reassure her fans that she is of sound mind. She also expressed her disappointment at the rumors circulating about her. She thanked fans for “the love and the outpouring of support” and is looking forward to returning to her show.

The statement concluded with a request to send Wendy Williams “positive messages, energy, and affirmations to her social media,” so she can read them daily.

Rapper Arsonal Da Rebel Gets Roughed Up And Arrested By Mexican Cops

Police-involved violence against Black men are not only an American issue. Just ask Newark rapper Arsonal da Rebel. Recently, while vacationing in Mexico, he was harassed, beat up, and locked up by the country’s local police.

Arsonal went live as soon as he got out of the jail in Cancun, Quintana Roo.

The first thing the artist did was introduced to his fans, his new best friend, Mike Monte. Mike allegedly is the only person that intervened when the officers started to assault the battler.

“He is the only decent person out here, the police was whopping my ass. I am out here telling people to pull their phones out, they whopping my ass and he is the only person decent enough to pull his phone out.”

As a result, Mike also got locked up.

The rapper sustained no serious injuries and was able to walk away with a banged-up face, scuffed up Gucci sneakers, dirty clothes, and scrapes on his body. He may have sustained a bruised ego also.

The Grape Street Crip took to his Instagram Live to detail the ordeal as he watched the Super Bowl in the resort’s club.

“The beat me up last night. I’m not going to lie. They hit me all in my face and they hit me all in my stomach and I am out here… Big Jersey,” he said to about 75 fans.

“I don’t care about nothing of that. I got bail money. I’m outside,” he continued. “I was in a Mexican jail for like seven or eight hours.”

When a fan says that he doesn’t look like anything happened, the King of Disrespect said, “I know I don’t look like it because the Mexican police hands are little as hell. Them n##gas is b##ches. They punched me in my face and that sh#t felt like my daughter hit me.”

“They p##sy! I just want y’all to know that,” he said in a way that punctuated the violation.

In addition to trying to relax, Ars is promoting his new project called, “The Chic Tape.” The eight-track mixtape features production from Cedes, Jiggy Made it, Kountdown, Arum Beats, Lilz, Dreccy, and R&B Rose. He also highlights three other artists: C4Musiq, Cheeks Bossman, and Jermayn.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CZ92zJLLWXv/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

The lead single is a joint called, “Baddie.” The video, produced, directed, and written by Ars, dropped right before his altercation.

It is good to see that the cops didn’t go too far and not only is the rapper still here to talk about it … but he is still about making his moves.

Mary J. Blige Reveals New Song Inspired By Ex-Husband Who Left Her So Broke She Couldn’t Pay Rent

Mary J. Blige recently discussed not getting paid for performing in the epic Super Bowl Halftime Show on Sunday (Feb. 13). She called the show “an opportunity of a lifetime” that ensures “you’re gonna be paid,” for life.

However, there was a time when life was not going so well for the Queen of Hip-Hop/ Soul, in fact, she couldn’t even make rent.

Mary J. Blige spoke candidly about the financial difficulties she endured following her separation from her husband Martin ‘Kendu’ Isaacs in 2016. The pair had an acrimonious split, and their divorce was finalized two years later.

However, Mary J. Blige put her pain into her art writing about her experiences in her new album, “Good Morning Gorgeous,” released on Feb. 11. The nine-time Grammy Award winner made some eye-opening revelations during a recent interview. She admitted her new song “Rent Money,” featuring Dave East, was inspired by her split with her ex-husband.

“‘Rent Money’ is about when I first got the divorce, Mary J told Angie Martinez. “I had to give up all this alimony, and I didn’t have no more money to give because he had spent it all.”

“I Was Drained Of Everything”

Mary continued and explained how she had to bring in extra money to make the court-ordered payments to her ex-husband. “So I had to go and, you know, I had to go on tour and make all the money back to pay the alimony,” she said. “I didn’t have no money to pay my rent and all this other stuff. But it’s also a metaphor, I didn’t have my soul – like, I was just drained of everything. So it was time for somebody to pay,” she added.

Furthermore, Mary J. Blige admitted, “Sometimes you just feel like somebody gotta pay. I was very angry when I made that song and I was like, rent money due. Period,” she concluded.

Meanwhile, Dr. Dre revealed on Monday (Feb. 15) that he is working with Mary J. Blige on her next album. The West Coast legend disclosed that Mary joined him at his home studio following Sunday’s Super Bowl. We went downstairs to the studio, and she was playing me samples, and we were just vibing out,” Dre said.

He let slip, “we’re talking about working together on her next project,” before apologizing to Mary for leaking the news!
