Sexyy Red and Summer Walker went viral on social media after sharing some controversial dating advice that didn’t sit well with their fans.
The “Sense dat God gave you” collaborators joined forces on the debut episode of the R&B singer’s “Over It Radio” show. The ladies offered some unfiltered advice to a caller with relationship struggles. The woman explained her partner of nine years cheated on her twice, including with her best friend, and was unsure if she should forgive him.
While Summer Walker initially stated, “She don’t need to be asking us,” Sexyy Red went off.
“N##### be cheating,” she began. “Nine years, he only cheated twice? Girl, take that man back. It’s OK! A n#### gonna cheat, they gonna do that.”
Walker stood firm, stating she doesn’t want to share advice that might “send young girls down the wrong path.” Even so, she added, “But I mean, people shouldn’t be accepting that, but you are right. Two times is literally [nothing]. But friend, we can’t sound like this, we have to work on ourselves and accept better.”
They went on to express that all men cheat, regardless of whether women want to accept it. “They all act like that. Some people genuinely feel like there are men that don’t cheat,” Walker added. “But no, babe, they’re all cheating. So I say go back too, like what the f###.”
However, the conversation didn’t go down well on social media, with many condemning their advice.
“If you go to Summer Walker and Sexyy Red for relationship advice and take it, everything that follows is on you,” one fan shared.

Wack 100 claims he has a flash drive containing incriminating information that could wreck Drake’s career. The outspoken music manager warned Drizzy to cut his alleged ties with Toronto rapper Top5, who he labeled “bad news.”
Wack 100 discussed Drake and the controversial rapper during a recent conversation with the No Jumper podcast.
“Drake needs to get away from Top5,” Wack 100 began. “This is how much respect I got for you, Drake. I’m telling you. Somebody, listen. Drake hear me. No troll. On Piru, you need to get away from that dude.”
Wack 100 went on to claim he’s been safeguarding a flash drive with career-ending info on Dake for the past 90 days.
“I have made sure it hasn’t went anywhere, personally,” he asserted.
While he didn’t describe the contents of the drive, Wack 100 believes Drake knows what it contains.
“I think you know what I’m talking about,” he added. “That dude, with his mouth and the things he says, it does not support your career and how far you’ve come. I’m telling you as a brother.”
Wack continued, “Get the f### away from Top5 bro. World, remember I’m warning Drake. He’s gonna have you hemmed up, caught up and locked up. Dude is reckless with his mouth. He ties you to things and he is a d######.”
Wack 100 also addressed Top5’s remarks that he wants to kill Kendrick Lamar and his fears that Drake could be tied to the controversial rapper’s remarks.
“I’m starting to think he got something on Drake,” Wack 100 mused.
Wack 100 again held up the flash drive.
“This right here…” he added before calling someone on the phone to confirm he’s “single handedly” keeping Drake “safe” despite multiple people trying to get hold of it.
Check out the Wck 100 discussing Drake and the flash drive in the video above. The conversation begin around the 53-minute mark.
Playboi Carti gave the Rolling Loud crowd a taste of his upcoming album, but it wasn’t enough for some fans who hoped to hear the entire project.
Carti had promised to play his highly anticipated “I AM MUSIC” album during his headlining set at Rolling Loud Miami on Sunday (December 15). Clips of his performance circulated online showed he was making good on his promise, previewing several new songs, including tracks produced by F1LTHY, Mike Dean and Metro Boomin.
While the Atlanta rapper has teased the project for years, he appears to be approaching a release date. Playboi Carti’s been sharing loosies on Instagram in recent months, but fans expected to hear the album at the festival’s 10th anniversary.
In November, Playboi Carti told fans, “MIAMI TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY. I AM MUSIC WILL B PLAYED. KANT WAIT TO SEE YAL MFS NAH FR.”
The anticipation only grew stronger when Rolling Loud creator and founder Tariq Cherif repeated Carti’s claims.
“When I got back from Thailand, Playboi Carti called me,” he said in an Instagram video Sunday. “We started talking about the album. He’s like, ‘Yo I’m play that s### at Rolling Loud. You saw him post it, I don’t know what he gonna do, he told you he’s gonna play that s###.”
Cherif also revealed he heard the album via Facetime before hinting at guest appearances.
“I heard it on FaceTime,” he added. “That s### sounded amazing. He got another one, with that guy he got another song with, and OUUUUU that s### is crazy.”
Nonetheless, many Playboi Carti fans were disappointed to only hear a few cuts from the album. Check out some of the reactions below.
quick rundown of how tonight is gonna go

Real Boston Richey is being called out by his former girlfriend, who accuses the rapper of sharing an explicit video of her. She also branded him a “child molester,” in an explosive social media rant Sunday (December 15).
The 27-year-old rapper previously faced backlash over his relationship with model Tatiana Chanell, who allegedly turned 18 earlier this year.
However, the criticism intensified after Richey’s ex-girlfriend, Aire Jay, levied serious accusations against him over the weekend.
She kicked off her rant by calling him a “child molester,” and “a creep who exposes girls.” In a follow-up post, she accused the rapper’s mother of harassing her and claimed he sent explicit videos of them having sex to other girls.
Real Boston Richey Apologizes For Leaking video
She posted screenshots of their alleged DMs, with Boston Richey saying there is “Nothing to [be] mad about,” adding, “that’s my favorite video.” He also questioned how Aire could be upset that he wanted to “brag” about how good she was in bed by showing the video to other girls. Other messages show him apologizing and asking how he could make it up to Aire.
Aire claimed Boston Richey offered to pay her $5,000 to apologize for the leaking video. However, she claims he backtracked and only sent $1,000.
She also hopped on Instagram Live and claimed Boston Richey’s mother is accusing her of extortion.
“Ain’t no extorting when a n#### exposed you,” Aire said during the live. “You don’t want me to sue you, so yeah, gimme what you gone gimme. Or we could go to court about this s###. I could sue you for everything.”
Earlier this year, Boston Richey attempted to clarify his girlfriend’s age after he was accused of being a pedophile.
“This girl 23,” he said while on a boat trip with Tatiana Chanell.
Back in January, Boston Richey came under fire after Chanell celebrated her birthday. She insinuated she had only just turned 18, posting a photo with a cake that had “legal” written on it.
Chlöe Bailey and Burna Boy set tongues wagging after stepping out together in Lagos, Nigeria, over the weekend, looking very booed up.
The R&B singer touched down in the African Giant’s homeland of Nigeria on Sunday (December 15). A convoy awaited her at the airport, rumored to have been sent by Burna Boy, with one person referring to her as Odogwu’s “wife.”
“Odogwu” is a title Used in the Igbo region of Nigeria and one Burna Boy has taken on for himself, meaning a “leader,” “great man,” or “hero.”
Fans were stunned by the joint appearance, with one writing, “Lmaooo I didn’t see this coming.”
Another person mentioned Burna Boy’s famous ex, Stefflon Don, teasing, “I hope Chloe Bailey know how to rap in Patois cause Steff writing her verse as we speak.”

It’s not just Burna and Bailey out in Lagos. The singer’s ex-boyfriend Gunna is also scheduled to appear in the Nigerian city during the nation’s “Detty December” festivities. Gunna is slated to perform at a festival later this week.
Meanwhile, Chlöe Bailey recently caused a stir after revealing her past infatuation with Kendrick Lamar. She was forced to clarify her remarks when fans accused her of trying to shoot her shot with the engaged rapper.
“I’m not shooting my shot at a married man,” Bailey said on Instagram Live last month. “I was talking about years and years ago.”
There have been plenty of times when people have called Fat Joe out for being, well… less than truthful. Now, a podcaster has jumped into the mix and doubled down on the idea that the Bronx Bomber has a history of telling some tall tales.
Will Miller (WilMilz), the podcaster in question, runs a series where he challenges what he calls “Nasty Work,” and this time he went on record with the Top Five Lies Told by Fat Joe. By the way, he’s also the person that invented the term “nasty work.”
Now, I don’t even follow this guy, but I can admit he’s hilarious, and it’s clear he’s got a solid following. That said, he’s also pretty controversial. This time, his take caught the attention of none other than DJ D-Nice. And let’s be real—D-Nice is literally one of the nicest and most drama-free dudes in the game. So for him to step into the fray? Yeah, you know it’s serious. 🙂
D-Nice wasted no time stepping up to defend Fat Joe. He hopped into the comments and said:
“I usually agree with you, but this one? Not so sure. I’m Joe’s age and from the BX. I’ve been hearing about him since I was around 14. No BS. Dude was like that as a kid. And I knew so many people like that from my hood during that time. My family got into it with the neighbors and they pulled out the machete. Not that I’m confirming the story because I wasn’t there. Just saying it’s possible.”
In the story, Joe describes a 7-foot tall man…he said it twice! Was it Shaq?
Now, I don’t know what to make of all this, but I need y’all to jump into the comments and share your thoughts. Last year, Fat Joe was hit with similar accusations, but he managed to shut it down before things got out of hand. That situation faded away, and we never heard from the accuser again.
One thing we can all agree on? The truth about Fat Joe is that he’s a great dad. We love to see it.
Jamie Foxx’s birthday celebration took a startling turn Friday night (December 13), when a glass tossed across the room struck the actor in the mouth at an upscale Beverly Hills restaurant. The incident unfolded around 10 p.m. at Mr. Chow as Foxx was dining with family.
According to a statement shared with TMZ by a representative, “Jamie Foxx was at his birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth. He had to get stitches and is recovering. The police were called, and the matter is now in law enforcement’s hands.”
Witnesses at the scene reportedly claimed tensions escalated after guests at another table began acting disrespectfully toward Foxx. The actor allegedly stood up to the individuals due to the presence of his family. Moments later, a glass was hurled from across the restaurant, hitting Foxx in the face and leaving him with an injury requiring medical attention.
Despite the altercation, Foxx addressed the situation with gratitude on Instagram, where he shared an optimistic update with fans.
“The devil is busy… but I’m too blessed to be stressed,” he wrote. In the caption, he added, “The devil is a lie. Can’t win here… thank you to everybody that pray and check on me… when your light is shining bright… they try to bring you darkness… but they don’t know that you’re built for it… the lights have been shining bright.”
Foxx also took the opportunity to promote his Netflix special, What Had Happened Was, dedicated to sharing personal insights from his life, including his recovery following a stroke and brain bleed that sidelined him from acting last year.
“If you haven’t checked it out please go check it out it’s from my heart and my soul…” Foxx wrote in the same post.
The Beverly Hills Police Department is investigating the incident, though further details about the perpetrator or potential charges remain unavailable. For Foxx, the mishap appears to be another challenge met with resilience and gratitude—a reminder, perhaps, of the strength he’s relied upon throughout a career that has seen its share of highs and lows.
Chris Brown proved he was a global sensation after selling out the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, kicking off his sold-out South African concert series. The show drew a reported crowd almost 95,000 (capacity is 94,736) in the biggest South African performance venue.
Saturday night marked Breezy’s long-awaited return to South Africa, in what was regarded a flawless performance. The R&B singer performed much of his discography, 20 years of hits, including “Angel Numbers / Ten Toes,” “Heat,” “No Air,” “Don’t Judge Me,” “Ayo,” and “Back to Sleep.”
His incredible dance moves were enhanced by an insane aerial stunt that had him soaring over the audience. The 35-year old also had multiple outfit changes that paid homage to the different eras of his career.
The crowd’s energy matched the performance, singing every word and cheering loudly throughout.
Brown ended the night thanking his fans. “I love you guys so much. This night means the world to me,” he said. “I’ve been waiting my whole life for this kind of moment.”
There was some controversy, as 31,000 people signed a petition rooted in the 2009 domestic assault of Rihanna.
Former California Highway Patrol officer Gregg Musgrove stumbled upon a treasure trove of songs by the late King of Pop Michael Jackson in a storage unit somewhere in the San Fernando Valley.
Musgrove became curious after getting a call from an associate, who told him about storage unit that he’d recently purchased in Van Nuys that had previously belonged to music producer/singer Bryan Loren. As he began his dig, he discovered 12 unreleased songs Jackson recorded between 1989 to 1991, right before his Dangerous album dropped. Among them was a lost collaboration with LL COOL J.
“I’ve gone to all the fan sites. Some of them [the songs] are rumored to exist, some of them have been leaked a little bit,” Musgrove told The Hollywood Reporter. “A couple aren’t even out there in the world.”
The discovery also led to some unheard audio from Jackson.
“I’m listening to this stuff, and I would get goosebumps because nobody’s ever heard this stuff before,” Musgrove said. “To hear Michael Jackson actually talk and kind of joke back and forth, it was really, really cool.”
One of the unreleased records is named “Don’t Believe It,” which appears to address the numerous rumors circulating about Jackson at the time.
Another tape captured the pop icon explaining the meaning behind “Seven Digits,” a reference to the ID number bodies receive in a morgue. “Truth on Youth,” a rap duet between Jackson and LL COOL J, is also among the discoveries. But sadly for Jackson fans, they might never see an official release.
As The Hollywood Reporter explained, “The estate, who Musgrove says did their own research into the tapes, declined to purchase the tapes for an unknown reason but did provide him with an official letter stating that the estate does not claim ownership.”
LL COOL J spoke about the Jackson collaboration in October during an interview with 102.7 KIISFM.
“Mike didn’t… they weren’t good enough,” LL said, admitting it didn’t live up to Jackson’s standards. “Sometimes the art don’t get there.”
LL COOL J looked back on his time with Jackson fondly and recalled the time he played a hilarious prank on the Def Jam legend. During one of their conversations in the studio, LL asked about one of Jackson’s most famous stunts from the “Smooth Criminal” video: the gravity-defying forward lean.
“I’m like, yo, how’d y’all do that thing with ‘Smooth Criminal’ when you lean in and all that?” LL recalled. Jackson replied with a straight face, “Well, we brought in a shaman and had a big ceremony, burned candles and incense…” LL COOL J briefly believed his story until Jackson broke the suspense with a laugh, saying, “No, silly!”
One of LL COOL J and Jackson’s collabs, “Serious Effect,” did leak, but the other never surfaced—until now.
Drake handed out a $10,000 prize to the winner of a lookalike contest hosted by a Toronto bakery, adding his personal touch to a fan-driven event aimed at celebrating his influence.
Casuals Cakery, located in the Republic Records artist hometown, organized the competition on Saturday (December 14), drawing a crowd of eager Drake fans dressed up as their idol. Among the contenders was Makayla Chambers, dubbed “Girl Drake,” who walked away with the grand prize after winning over the crowd and judges with her striking imitation of the artist.
She mimicked a look Drake had sported earlier this year, complete with two pigtails, an oversized beige sweater and even a drawn-on goatee.
The competition turned heads online after the bakery shared a screenshot of a direct message from the “God’s Plan” rapper himself. In the message, Drake pledged to contribute “10 bands” (a colloquial term for $10,000) as the contest’s main prize, giving the event an undeniable star-studded twist.
Fans of the multi-platinum musician arrived in droves to the bakery, showcasing their best Drake-inspired outfits, from mimicking past album covers to sporting his signature style choices. Chambers’ creativity and detailed execution ultimately set her apart, earning her both the money and title of top impersonator.
The contest marks the latest in a wave of celebrity-themed competitions popping up across North America. It comes on the heels of another viral fan event—a Timothée Chalamet-inspired costume contest held earlier this year in New York City, where the actor himself unexpectedly appeared to surprise attendees.
For Drake’s fans, making their idol proud with their playful tributes was as much a reward as the cash prize. The Toronto bakery’s lighthearted celebration highlighted the outsized influence Drake holds in his hometown and far beyond, cementing the rapper’s standing as not only a music icon but a beloved cultural figure.
Travis Barker‘s daughter Alabama is apparently rapping again and just dropped a video for a song called “Vogue.” Produced by ATL Jacob, the track was released by Republic Records, home to stars like Taylor Swift, Drake and Ariana Grande.
Unsurprisingly, she recruited her famous family—including the blink-182 drummer himself and his wife/her stepmother Kourtney Kardashian—for the visual as she raps about her “hoes.” Much like the title suggests, the video revolves around a runway and models, who strut their stuff for the camera. Landon Barker, Alabama’s older brother, also makes a cameo.
Par for the course, the criticism is growing louder on Twitter (X), with many accusing her of trying to “act Black.” As one person wrote, “I wonder if people like Alabama Barker think about the backlash that will come with them putting out ‘black music.’ Like if they think about all the heat they’re about to get for it.”
Someone else added, “Like people really like that Alabama barker song and video. 1. White people have no business rapping and 2. It’s also just really bad.” Others are accusing her of using her father of pulling a few strings to get her record out, while some were shocked that they actually liked it.
Alabama Barker is the youngest daughter of Travis Barker and model Shanna Moakler. Born in December 2005, Alabama was introduced to the public through her family’s reality TV series, Meet the Barkers, as a toddler.
Over the years, she’s attempted to step out from the shadow of her famous dad, carving her own path as a social media influencer. Known for her vibrant personality and bold style, Alabama frequently shares glimpses of her life on platforms like Instagram and TikTok, where she has amassed a significant following.
Believe it or not, this isn’t her first rodeo. Alabama released her first single, “Our House,” in 2017 and has been experimenting with her sound ever since. Apparently, she’s landed on mainstream rap and her style suggests she’s taking tips from Cardi B, Bhad Bhabie and Megan Thee Stallion.
Landon has made strides in the rap community, too. He’s best known for his guest performance alongside Gunna and Young Thug on Machine Gun Kelly 2022 single “Die in California,” which entered the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart at No. 15. Barker also appeared alongside his family on the reality television show Meet the Barkers from 2005 to 2006. His debut single, “Friends With Your EX”, was released by Elektra Records in 2023.
Denzel Washington, navigating the demands of promoting both Gladiator II and The Piano Lesson, issued an apology to Ryan Coogler after inadvertently revealing that the filmmaker is working on Black Panther 3.
Washington’s revelation, which included mention of a potential role being written for him, sparked conversations about the future of the celebrated Marvel franchise despite its third installment remaining unofficial.
Speaking on Variety’sAwards Circuit Podcast, Denzel Washington reflected on the slip-up, sharing his thoughts on Coogler’s talent.
“Ryan’s a genius,” Denzel Washington said. “I called him and apologized for talking about the movie, and right there sitting with him was his beautiful wife. He’s still Ryan, humble and full of ideas. Whatever he writes, I’ll read.”
Marvel Studios has yet to confirm development on Black Panther 3, and Washington chose not to provide additional details about the project.
However, the actor did hint at his shifting priorities as he considers the twilight of his career.
In a November interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he expressed his commitment to selectively choosing his remaining projects.
“At this point in my career, I’m only interested in working with the best,” Washington said. “I don’t know how many more films I will make, probably not that many. I want to do things that I haven’t done.”
The Training Day star added that his exploration of new and ambitious roles includes reprising Othello at age 70 and reimagining historical figures like Hannibal.
Additionally, he revealed ongoing conversations with director Steve McQueen about a potential collaboration.
Washington concluded his comments by reiterating Coogler’s plans to craft a role for him in the next Black Panther chapter.
The original Black Panther, helmed by Coogler and led by the late Chadwick Boseman, debuted in 2018 and became both a critical and box-office triumph.
Its sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, arrived in 2022, showcasing Letitia Wright in the lead.
Coogler, who directed and co-wrote both films, has taken a temporary step back from the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Sinners, a horror film developed alongside frequent collaborator Michael B. Jordan, slated for release in March.
Drake fans are out here doing the absolute most. Over the weekend, a bunch of super fans decided to throw a Drake look-alike party. No, this wasn’t for Hanukkah or any special occasion—this was just a random day, where all the various Drizzy doppelgängers gathered in one spot to party the night away.
I have to admit, this is taking fandom to uncharted heights. Over the years, we’ve seen megastars like Michael Jackson, Prince and Madonna inspire this kind of devotion. But now? Drake is officially stepping into that rarefied air. Please don’t kill me for saying it. I have to give credit where it’s due.
Even more impressive? Drake actually love the party! He rewarded the winner of the look-alike contest with $10,000. That’s right, folks—10 stacks! Membership in the Drake fan club clearly has its privileges.
From a cultural standpoint, what do y’all think of this? Honestly, I can’t see this happening for any other rapper. Certainly not JAY-Z or Kendrick Lamar. Maybe MF DOOM could inspire this level of weird fandom, but even that’s a stretch. Either way, Drake throwing money at his fans is cool. I would consider dressing like him for 10k! I’m sure whoever won needed it, just like me.
One thing that had me dying laughing, though, was the dude who came dressed as Adonis. That cracked me up. It was diabolical in the best way, and it honestly made me wonder if a Kendrick Lamar or Pusha T fan snuck into the party trolling. There’s no way that didn’t get noticed but apparently, it was all love. For a second, when I saw the costume, I thought it was Ice Spice, not Drake’s son!Ha!
Anyway, what do y’all think? We are about to replace Stans with Drakes.
Outlawz rapper Young Noble recently sat down with the Art of Dialogue for his first interview in more than seven years. Naturally, his Outlawz brethren/Hip-Hop icon 2Pac was a heavy topic of discussion.
At one point during the conversation, Young Noble looked back on the 1997 shooting of The Notorious B.I.G., which took place mere months after 2Pac was gunned down in Las Vegas.
“It was crazy,” he said. “Biggie dying affected us, too […] I was almost questioning like, ‘Damn man, maybe I should have stayed in school and figured something else out.’ Like, ‘I don’t know if I made the right decision getting in the car with [Hussein] Fatal and Yaki [Kadafi] that day. This doesn’t feel good.’
“I left the hood to come to California. I was tired of death and all this b#######. Two of my friends just died back to back. It was horrible. Horrible for Hip-Hop.”
Young Noble then questioned if anyone learned anything from the deaths of 2Pac and Biggie considering the shocking number of murders in the rap community still happening.
“That’s why I haven’t done an interview in seven years,” he admitted. “2Pac said it best, I’m gonna save my f#####’ breath, spend time with my family, go on vacation.” He concluded, “It was horrible when Biggie died just all around the board.”
From there, Young Noble started reflecting on seeing 2Pac at the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada, where he ultimately died, and the numerous conspiracy theories that suggest he’s still alive.
“No, he really died,” he said. “He was really in the hospital. I saw him with tubes in his body. I saw his body full of fluid. He was real big. He wasn’t skinny with the six-pack. Body was full. He really f###### died on us.”
Despite 2Pac’s grim condition, Young Noble believes he could’ve survived, but his mother Afeni Shakur decided to take a more compassionate route for her son.
“He probably could have lived,” he added. “His mama said, ‘Nah.’ F### all that.’ I think he lost his finger. I think he was gonna lose a lung, trying to do all these surgeries. You know how strong your mama gotta be to say, ‘Damn, he probably could make it. I don’t want my son to endure no more pain in this world. Y’all tear him down.’
“That s### is devastating. She let her son go. ‘Pac ain’t die. Afeni said, ‘Let my son fly.’ That’s it. Bruh, can you imagine that? A guy as amazing as him. The world in his f###### palms. His mama like, ‘F### that. Let him go. Let him fly. Y’all don’t even f#####’ deserve him. He been gone since I was 18. I’m 46. All muthafuckas want to do is get on camera and dissect his f###### life. N#### was amazing.”
He ended with, “That n#### was everything. Died at 25” before walking off the set with tears in his eyes.
The Outlawz (also known as Outlaw Immortalz) were founded by 2Pac in 1995 and became widely known for their collaborations with him, especially on his later works. ‘Pac wanted the group to embody rebellion and resistance.
Members were chosen from his close friends and associates, many of whom he knew from his youth or through the music scene.
The group contributed significantly to 2Pac’s albums, including All Eyez on Me and The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory. Their most famous feature was on the song “Hit ‘Em Up,” a vicious diss track targeting Biggie Smalls and Bad Boy Records. After 2Pac’s death, the group continued to release music but never achieved the same level of success as they had under their mentor’s guidance.
Master P urged graduates at Grambling State University on Saturday (December 14) to embrace change and pursue their dreams with courage and determination as he delivered the keynote address during the fall 2024 commencement ceremony.
Master P stood before 365 graduates at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center, emphasizing education as a powerful tool for transformation.
“Education is so important, and I love that we can change, we can grow,” Master P said. “Today is about change. Today is about being all you can be. I’ve been through everything you could think of. I’ve seen it. I’ve been there. And when I look into your eyes, I realize why we’re about to be on time.”
Celebrating the graduates’ dedication, Master P drew a stark contrast between their accomplishments and life’s alternative paths.
“A lot of people have given four or five years to incarceration; y’all gave it to education,” he said. “A lot of people ask why people celebrate when they get out of being incarcerated. We’re going to celebrate the ones that graduate college. This is what I love to see.”
As a Hip-Hop icon whose career evolved into a multifaceted business empire, Master P used reflective wisdom to connect with the graduates, acknowledging the hardships they overcame to reach this milestone while commending their tenacity.
“There have been trials and tribulations, ups and downs, early mornings and late nights studying to take a test or complete an assignment, and it all led up to this moment. So y’all give yourselves a round of applause. I want y’all to know today is a blessing, and now it’s time to go out and show the world that all of your hard work was worth it.”
Master P encouraged the graduates to lead with purpose and integrity as they chart their futures. Invoking Proverbs 4:6-7, he reminded them to treasure wisdom as a protective and guiding force.
“Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you,” Master P read, adding, “Wisdom is supreme. When you look into the mirror, just know you are your only competition. Whatever you can dream of, you can make it come true—just have a plan and a purpose. Do what you love, operate with integrity, and hold yourself accountable. Never abandon your dream, and always be brave.”
Master P closed his remarks with, “The future is yours. It’s in your hands. Now go show the world what Grambling State greatness looks like.”

Lil’ Rod’s controversial attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, scored a huge win after a judge refused Universal Music Group’s (UMG) request for sanctions in a high-profile case marked by explosive allegations and intense corporate fallout.
The decision was handed down by U.S. District Judge J. Paul Oetken in Manhattan, clearing Blackburn of accusations that he pursued groundless claims to harm the reputations of UMG executives. The case originated with a lawsuit filed by Rodney “Lil’ Rod” Jones against Sean “Diddy” Combs, alleging a litany of misconduct, including sexual assault, trafficking and racketeering.
UMG and its senior leadership, including CEO Sir Lucian Grainge and Motown Records’ former president Ethiopia Habtemariam, were drawn into the lawsuit due to purported business links.
However, these claims were dismissed after Blackburn voluntarily retracted them during a procedural grace period, citing a lack of sufficient evidence.
UMG sought sanctions against Blackburn, accusing him of weaponizing outrageous allegations to gain leverage, but the judge rejected the motion, ruling there was no basis to conclude the lawyer acted in bad faith.
Instead, Oetken acknowledged Blackburn’s timely withdrawal of the claims reflected an effort to correct—not exploit—the situation.
“The lack of legal merit in the withdrawn claims does not establish malice or an intent to misuse the judicial process,” Judge Oetken wrote. “To impose sanctions in this context would risk discouraging attorneys from taking on sensitive cases involving serious allegations.”
The outcome represents a critical win for Blackburn and refocuses the legal battle on Lil’ Rod’s allegations against Diddy, which remain unresolved.
Blue Ivy, the 12-year-old daughter of JAY-Z and Beyoncé, debuted as the voice of lioness cub Kiara in Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King, with director Barry Jenkins firmly stating her casting came down to talent, not family connections.
In an interview with People magazine, Jenkins, known for directing the Oscar-winning drama “Moonlight,” addressed speculation about favoritism.
“Her parents weren’t involved in her booking this film,” Jenkins said unequivocally. Instead, he said it was Blue Ivy’s audiobook narration in 2020 that first caught his attention.
“You know, she had read this book, this audiobook Hair Love with my friend Matthew Cherry,” he said. “And I just really loved her voice.”
Jenkins described Blue Ivy’s voice as embodying “a wonderful innocence” paired with “the knowingness of a highly evolved child.” He credited her ability to deliver the emotional complexity required for the role.
“The children in the audience, they’re going to see themselves in the character she plays, Kiara. She just brought all the complexity that it demanded.”
He also commended her preparation and professionalism.
“It was great working with her. She came extremely prepared.”
Jenkins emphasized that her performance stood entirely on its own, separate from her status as the child of a music-industry power couple.
The young talent walked the red carpet at the film’s Monday premiere alongside her superstar parents.
The family’s public appearance occurred amid controversy surrounding JAY-Z, who a day earlier faced allegations involving a 2000 incident in which he was accused of sexual misconduct with a minor alongside music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.
JAY-Z, 55, has vehemently denied the claims, labeling them “heinous” and “idiotic.”
