French Montana had a little run-in with Colombian law enforcement officials during a recent visit to the country who suspected he was up to no good.
The “Good Summer” hitmaker was trying to leave the country when authorities stopped his private jet from taking off. According to French Montana, officials grounded the plane on the tarmac while they searched for drugs. He documented the incident in a video shared on Instagram on Tuesday (October 31).
“Colombia, I love ya’ll,” he began the video. “But ya’ll ain’t have to do me like this. I ain’t have to have them dogs in there like that. Know we coke boys but you ain’t coke boys for that. Streets is so f##### up, they thought I was bringing a big load.”
French also shared another video on his Instagram Story showing officials searching the jet alongside a narcotics detection dog.
Although his IG caption declared he was “TRAPPED IN COLOMBIA,” French Montana made light of the situation, joking with law enforcement about the search. While it’s unclear whether officials actually suspected the rapper of drug trafficking, they apparently walked away empty-handed.
One of the Colombian officials posed for a photo with French, although he didn’t seem too happy about it. Neither did the narcotics dog, who, like his handler, amusingly looked conflicted as French attempted to pet him.
Diddy had a surprise in store for Warner Bros. Entertainment after claiming they banned him from dressing up as the Black Joker.
His portrayal of the late Heath Ledger’s Joker from The Dark Knight movie was so eerily realistic, Power actor Michael J. Ferguson had no idea who he was when they got into a heated altercation on Halloween 2022.
The Bad Boy Records founder took to Instagram Tuesday (October 31), revealing that the film and entertainment studio squashed his Halloween plans to reprise his 2022 spooky season look as the villain from the Batman movies. Diddy explained he received multiple legal requests claiming his Joker costume broke trademark rules.
“Breaking Halloween news,” Diddy began the video update. “Last year after I did the Black Joker, I got a bunch of emails from the studio telling me to not be the Joker anymore, that I was breaching the trademark. So I don’t know what I’m going to be this year,” Diddy said.
Diddy continued, “But I will say to the m########### that took all this time… to tell me not to be the Joker, you win. I’m not going to be the Joker this year because your ass had enough time to f### up my m############ Halloween.”
While Warner Bros. allegedly banned Diddy from playing the Joker, nobody said anything about his nemesis. The NYC icon opted to troll the studio this year by dressing up as Batman. His son Christian Combs shared a teaser of his father’s costume on his Instagram Story late on Halloween night.
Beyonce is known for being a perfectionist with her craft, but it sometimes brings out a little mean streak, according to her mother.
Tina Knowles recently shed light on some behind-the-scenes details of her daughter’s iconic Renaissance Tour. During the Halloween episode of Sherri, Knowles revealed that Beyoncé can get a little out of character during the multiple costume charges she had each night on the tour.
While they are able to laugh at it now, Knowles is glad their days on the road are over.
“Girl, you get really mean back there,” she recalled telling Beyoncé. “I am really happy that I don’t have to be back there anymore.”
The mother-and-daughter duo enjoy a great bond, and Tina Knowles would poke fun at Beyoncé over her outbursts.
“We’d laugh because she used to do ‘Flaws and All,’” Knowles explained, referring to Bey’s Renaissance album cut. “She would say, ‘I’m a [b####] in the morning,’ and I’ll be like, ‘in the evening too!’”
Beyoncé Often Teared Up Apologizing To Her Team
Nonetheless, Beyoncé would always apologize for things she said while caught up in the heat of the moment and would even be brought to tears.
“She’ll be like, ‘Mama, I’m so sorry.’ Sometimes she’ll be crying, and I was like, ‘She crying because she know she just said some crazy stuff to us,’” Knowles added.
Sharing a clip from the show on Instagram Tuesday (October 31) Tina Knowles clarified her remarks.
“She is a perfectionist, because she feels like she and her fans deserve the best,”she wrote. You have to have your stuff together to work for her ? She is a boss at all times and will not hesitate to get in your stuff if you mess up.”heck out the clip below.
Beyoncé discussed the perfectionism that has become part of her mythology in her 2019 documentary, Homecoming.
“I respect things that take work,” she shared during the movie. “I respect things that are built from the ground up. I’m super specific about every detail. I personally selected each dancer, every light, the material on the steps, the height of the pyramid, the shape of the pyramid. Every patch was hand-sewn, every tiny detail had an intention.”
While Thanksgiving is still weeks away and many are still scoffing Halloween candy, Mariah Carey has begun the countdown to Christmas.
The iconic songstress, who has become synonymous with Christmas, announced it’s officially “MariahSZN,” with her annual declaration. She proclaimed the start of the holidays at the stroke of midnight on Halloween (October 31) with a spooky video that quickly turns festive.
In the visual, Mariah Carey is frozen inside an ice block as masked figures attempt to free her. However, she shatters her icy prison with her legendary voice, singing “It’s time” before playing her holiday hit “All I Want for Christmas.” Watch it below.
Last month, Mariah Carey announced she is heading off on the Merry Christmas One And All! Tour, kicking off November 15 in California. The cross-country tour runs for 13 dates, wrapping up with a finale on December 17 at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.
“Yes, the actual defrosting has begun!” Mariah Carey wrote, announcing the tour.
The unofficial “Queen of Christmas,” has become synonymous with the holiday season. However, she was unsuccessful in securing the official title. The trademark authority rejected her bid for the crown last year, ruling that she could not be the only person to use the moniker.
Khloe Kardashian is facing accusations of blackfishing after dressing up for spooky season, with fans claiming her skin tone appears significantly darker than usual.
The reality TV star and her sister Kim Kardashian donned matching Bratz doll outfits for Halloween. The siblings were joined by their two friends, who also wore plaid miniskirts and coordinating tops. They all accessorized their looks with matching berets and purses to complete the transformation.
However, fans ignored the costumes when the Good American co-founder shared photos of her Halloween costume on Instagram, focusing on her skin tone instead.
Fans in the comment section called out Khloe Kardashian for “blackfishing.” The term is used to describe white or other non-Black people darkening their skin through tanning, makeup, digital manipulation or other methods to appear Black.
While some questioned, “Is that black face?,” others were certain in their opinion: “This is most definitely blackface & I don’t appreciate it.” Another added, “Black fishing periodddd.”
One person asked, “No one’s gonna talk about her skin being 10 times darker lol.” Another user wrote, “Girl I thought this was a random black woman.” The comment has garnered more than 10,000 likes. One fan claimed it “wouldn’t be halloween without a kardashian doing some sort of black face.”
You can’t have a conversation about the new hottest drill artists without mentioning Sha Gz. Born and raised out of The Bronx, New York, where Hip-Hop was birthed, the rising star is proving exactly why he’s up next.
At only 18 years old, the rising star has been through his own fair share of trials and tribulations, using music to turn his struggle into triumph. After being locked up at 15 years old, Sha realized he had to do better with his life. Thankfully, rapping would be his saving grace.
Upon returning home, Sha released two breakout singles “Rosa” and the viral “New Opp,” which quickly turned him into a local superstar. Soon, labels would be calling, as Sha made the bold decision to sign with Signal Records/Columbia Records — which is crazy given the fact he’s only been making music since 2020.
Now, Sha is as excited as ever to be unveiling his highly-anticipated debut tape called RUTHLESS GZ. The project is spearheaded by lead singles “Why” and “Leave It At That” and features appearances from SDot and Jay Hound from hip-hop drill group The Sweepers, Kenzo B, and DThang.
AllHipHop spoke with Sha Gz who was posted in The Bronx. Read below as we discuss his meteoric rise after spending a little bit of time locked up.
AllHipHop: You were locked up for seven months. What’d you learn about yourself behind bars?
Sha Gz: Being locked up, that s### was horrible. I ain’t gon’ lie, I was saying once I come home, I’ma just do better at what I’m doing and focus on rapping. When I was writing inside, I kept focusing on staying on the right path, getting myself right. Take rapping serious.
AllHipHop: Were you rapping before you got locked up?
Sha Gz: Yea I was writing for sure but nothing serious. I was doing more singing. I was also in another space focusing on getting money. I’m glad that I’ve grown since then and am becoming a more well-rounded artist since then.
AllHipHop: The Bronx is where Hip-Hop was birthed. When did you fall in love with Hip-Hop?
Sha Gz: I’ve always been a huge hip-hop fan. Growing up, I used to watch all the award shows, read blogs, and go on the internet to check everyone out. Seeing artists like Biggie Smalls, Tupac alongside watching movies and docs like “Straight Outta Compton” were big to me. The movies me made me more interested than the music sometimes because I got to watch rapper’s lives, which was important to me.
AllHipHop: Who’s in your Top 5?
Sha Gz: I’ll say Eazy-E first. Chief Keef. Lil Durk. Lil Baby, and that’s really it. I know that’s not 5 but those are my go-to’s to listen to.
AllHipHop: How’d you get your name?
Sha Gz: My name is Shavar, NOT Shaheem, I’ve been seeing my name circulating and it’s completely off [ha]. And the GZ, everyone knows where that’s from, if you know, you know.
AllHipHop: I know “New Opp” was a big moment for you. Talk about your career going up when you dropped that.
Sha Gz: Everything changed once I dropped “New Opp.” Signal reached out the next day and put me in the studio immediately. That’s when I created “Enotti,” “Poppa Perry” and “Stay Wit Ya G.” We ended up dropping “Enotti” and “Poppa Perry,” which ended up exploding this year with “New Opp.”
AllHipHop: What made it go up?
Sha Gz: I don’t know. I don’t even really know. I think it was the sample, honestly. I remixed the “Nuketown” sample from Ski Mask The Slump God and Juice WRLD and was surprised how much people flocked to it.
AllHipHop: You signed to a major label at 18, was this always the goal?
Sha Gz: Nah being signed wasn’t my goal. Being from the place I’m from, It’s not easy making it out. Rapping definitely has showed me a lot of that. It’s shown me more of a lifetime and seeing things from a different view. Being an artist pushes me to explore more, traveling out of the country, seeing different things than what I grew up seeing and still got more to do.
AllHipHop: How’d you find your way to Signal Records/Columbia?
Sha Gz: It was my management. They had been on the phone before and said they wanted to talk to me. When I got the call, I’m like alright yeah it’s lit. I had interest with at least 6 different record labels but Signal was first. They were actually the first to take the chance with giving me sessions even before I signed to them. Made sure videos were shot and put me in the rooms with the right people.
AllHipHop: You just dropped “Why,” what inspired that record?
Sha Gz: I made that a couple months ago, but that was a big song to me. The timing of this record was perfect and more therapeutic because of my health scare. I definitely learned a life lesson from that situation for sure and want to make it a point to push health awareness to my fans. Even in the clip previewing the track, I put in footage from my seizure caught on stage from fans to show how a single moment can change so much. People were so shocked like “Nah what? Why would he even post that?.”
AllHipHop: What happened? How’d you get the seizure?
Sha Gz: I honestly think it was probably a combination of stuff. I was doing a lot of drugs, percs specifically. When I went to the doctor after it happened, they mentioned it was dehydration but I know it had to be a mix of things.
AllHipHop: How are you feeling now with your health?
Sha Gz: I’m feeling good right now. Speaking of, I’m about to get some breakfast. Even though it’s afternoon right now. [laughs] I had a late morning so I need to get something in before my runs for the day.
AllHipHop: What can we expect from your new single, “Cheeks”?
Kenzo B is a feature on there. I just say “Cheeks! Cheeks!” Expect a lot of females dancing, female vibes. Females are definitely going to jack it.
AllHipHop: Is this your first record for the females?
Sha Gz: No but it is probably the first time I’m showing my fans more of a party vibe. I made this song for the females to enjoy more. It was more of an emotional thing.
AllHipHop: What can we expect from your tape, RUTHLESS GZ?
Sha Gz: Oh yeah, you can expect that fire! I got some features on there showing love to my fellow drill and Bronx artists. It’s gonna be good for sure. RUTHLESS GZ is gonna be the one.
AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio at all times?
Sha Gz: Weed, water, and food.
AllHipHop: What kind of food?
Sha Gz: Popeyes.
AllHipHop: What do you like to do for fun when you’re not working?
Sha Gz: I like to unplug, chill, hang out with my friends, drive around, enjoy the day ya know?
AllHipHop: Any goals for yourself as an artist?
Sha Gz: I think one of my major goals is to make it to the top of the game with notoriety. Working hard on my craft and as an artist. Be more engaging and move with a plan. That’s really it.
AllHipHop: Anything else you want to let the people know?
Sha Gz: I want to thank everybody from my supporters to my haters. Thank you also for having me up here. This is Sha Gz, everyone keep running the numbers up. We gon’ keep going up.
On a recent episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” Sean “Diddy” Combs opened up about his foray into the world of psychedelic toad venom.
The music mogul, known for his adventurous spirit, candidly shared his experience and the precautions he took.
“I’m the type of guy [who’ll] try anything once… with an ambulance outside,” Diddy revealed, emphasizing the importance of safety during such an intense experience.
While he was somewhat reserved about the specifics of his trip, he did drop hints that his journey was distinct from others who have tried the substance.
https://youtu.be/uL4iH-HLcXM?feature=shared
“Eric didn’t see what I saw,” he teased, referencing Eric Andre, another celebrity who had previously discussed his own experience with the venom on the show.
Psychedelic toad venom, also known as 5-MeO-DMT, is a potent hallucinogen derived from the Colorado River toad.
When vaporized and inhaled, it can lead to powerful, albeit short-lived, psychedelic experiences.
While some advocate for its therapeutic benefits, ranging from treating depression to inducing spiritual awakenings, its intensity means it’s not suitable for everyone.
There are multiple varieties of psychedelic toad juices available.
The most well-known is sourced from the Colorado River toad, native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico.
However, other toads, like the Amazon’s Giant Monkey Frog, also produce secretions with psychoactive properties. These secretions have historically been used by indigenous communities in shamanic rituals and healing ceremonies.
Returning to Diddy’s experience, he was clear about not endorsing the substance for everyone.
“I wouldn’t advise it to anybody, but I could just speak on my experiences,” he stated, also mentioning he had a “great toad guy” for those curious about trying it.
In the same interview, Diddy also touched upon various other topics, from his recent music projects to his spiritual beliefs.
“I’m in constant conversation with God,” he shared, highlighting his deep connection to his faith and music.
Chrisean Rock appeared on Kai Cenat’s mock reality show, “7 Days In,” with a few of her girls. The show’s concept centers on Kai Cenat’s “incarceration” in a fake jail cell with his celebrity guests coming in (on fake charges) and spending the day on lockdown with him.
When Rock came on the show and into his cell, she and Ceneat read one of her newborn son’s custom-made books God Loves Chrisean, which appeared to deeply move her.
She read, “Dear Chrisean, God said let that be light on one day number one. Then he hit then he lit up the world with rays of the sun.”
Before Chrisean Rock could go on, she announced she was “high as s##t.” Kai Cenat then took over and dramatically read from the book.
As the comedian started to talk about how God crafted the baby while smoking was smoking a blunt, Chrisean Rock started to get misty-eyed and eventually broke out into full tears.
While it was unclear if the influencer-turned-rapper was playing along with the skit or if she was truly moved, the clip aligns with what the world has seen since she had her first baby—her child is at the center of all that Chrisean Rock does whether Blueface likes it or not.
Black college homecomings have at least a 35-year history of featuring some of rap music’s biggest stars. Naughty By Nature used a taping from their 1991 homecoming performance at Morris Brown for their hit song “Hip Hop Hooray.”
On October 30, 1993, Tupac Shakur attended Clark Atlanta University’s homecoming with Parental Advisory and Diamond D. The Diggin’ In The Crates (D.I.T.C.) member wrote about the concert and ensuing mayhem in a commemorative post on Instagram.
“It was 30 yrs ago last night when me, Pac and Stretch flew to ATL for his show at Clark U,” Diamond D wrote. “Afterwards as we were approaching the Sheraton hotel off 14th & Peachtree (it is now called The Starling Hotel) is where the infamous incident happened when Pac shot 2 drunk rogue plain clothed white cops who were harassing a Black man.”
According to the legendary Bronx, New York producer, Shakur “intervened to help” a Black person “he didn’t even know.” He then recalled that two police officers didn’t like that, so they came over to a car and “smashed the driver’s side window.”
“I was in the back seat watching this shyt. Pac got out the car and as the cops walked away Pac got down to one knee in a firing stance and hit em both in the ass,” he recalled, saying Shakur wound up beating the case “because both cops were drunk and both had guns, they took from the evidence room from their station.”
Diamond D added the cops were “from another county.” He added, “They were wrong all the way around. They were outside looking for trouble and they found it.”
The alleged dirty cops Diamond was referring to were two brothers, Mark and Scott Whittwell. Tupac Shakur was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, while Mark was charged with shooting at the rapper’s car and making false statements. Eventually, all of the charges were dropped when it was discovered Scott Whitwell was using a gun he’d stolen from the Henry County evidence room.
‘Pac did eventually have to pay up. He settled a civil suit with Mark Whitwell out of court, while Scott Whitwell won a $2 million default judgment against ‘Pac’s estate in 1998.
On November 3, in commemoration of the 20th Anniversary of the release of Tupac: Resurrection, the Brooklyn Academy of Music will present the film during the opening night of the “Let The Record Show: Archived Cinema” film series curated by former Hip-Hop journalist, Jessica Greene.
It’s a chance to hear who Shakur was told entirely in his own words. Following the film will be a conversation with director Lauren Lazin, AllHipHop.com writer Nicole Duncan-Smith and Shakur’s godfather, filmmaker Jamal Joseph, about his life and impact on the world.
To think that Meek Mill and Kreayshawn would ever be in a direct alliance is somewhat surprising—and not just because of their rap identities, but because their careers have taken vastly different paths.
Just in case you don’t know what is going on, Meek appeared to express his disdain for what life as a rapper has revolved into following Kodak Black’s viral Drink Champs interview. His frustrations seemed to boil over on Twitter on October 30 as he tweeted, “Being a real rapper basically is being a person who is used til their soulless!”
Being a real rapper basically is being a person who is used til their soulless!
On the flip side, less than 12 hours later, Kreayshawn opened up about how one of her recent “wins” is more like a curse from hell, underscoring Meek’s sentiments in the process. Though the record was released more than 10-years ago, Kreayshawn appeared to just receive the news herself that her viral “Gucci Gucci” has achieved platinum status from the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America). The only problem, however, seems to be that she still owes thousands of dollars to he former label Sony for the album the single eventually became apart of.
“Crazy that I will owe Sony 800k on one album… for 10+ years! But it’s platinum?,” she wrote in part.
Crazy that I will owe Sony 800k on one album… for 10+ years! But it’s platinum? it’s sounding fishy.. I know mfs eating off me till this day but PLATINUM? STILL IN THE SAME MONEY DEBT? 10 YEARS? Math not mathing. But damn wtf 😳 CRAZY! https://t.co/tCEZHS66LK
While that’s the headline, I’d be burying the lede if I failed to mention that Kreayshawn went on to say that her contract was signed before Spotify existed and streams were counted toward total plays and or album sales. Which is honestly a complete shame because if you’ll recall, Kreayshawn had the Internet and radio airwaves in a headlock when “Gucci Gucci” dropped. She even took a moment and reminded us all that Funkmaster Flex issued a looting call to action to the city of New York while Kanye West freestyled over a version of Kreayshawn’s record during a live broadcast.
here’s more numbers. i swear my debt started at 800k when I saw it 10 years ago and it has barely changed! sometimes i even swear it gets HIGHER 😂 @Sony K pic.twitter.com/fWvekFt2kg
Kreayshawn went on to reveal that even though her label had her career mapped out to match the trajectory of then fledging artists-turned-superstars such as A$AP Rocky, they eventually dropped her due to low album sales. To add insult to injury, they allegedly did so just three days after she announced her pregnancy. Talk about leaving a person uttterly soulless!
Do you guys wanna know the cherry on the cake 3 days after I announced I was pregnant on Instagram the label dropped me. Honestly I wanted them to because I hated working with them and I hated performing but when they actually did it and I was actually pregnant, I was terrified.
Miraculously enough, though, Kreayshawn says even though she is “bitter” she is also very “thankful” for the experience. She also appears to still have an appetite to work with another major label, as she seemingly revealed she is a fan of Blueface and Jaidyn Alexis’ “Barbie” banger and would consider signing to their Milf Music imprint.
Anyways, revisit “Gucci Gucci” one last time for the hell of it below.
Fulton County, Georgia, District Attorney Fanni Willis is in fear for her life due to the high profile RICO indictments of rap star Young Thug, his gang Young Slime Life, and the indictment of former President Donald Trump in 18 of his cronies.
Willis, who says she receives hundreds of threats daily and has her staff working overtime pursuing the aggressors, has taken at least one of them seriously.
An Alabama man, Arthur Ray Hansen II, has been indicted on charges related to threats made against Willis and Fulton County Sheriff Patrick “Pat” Labat.
The threats are believed to be connected to the ongoing investigation into the 2020 election meddling. Hansen, a 59-year-old resident of Huntsville, Alabama, is accused of leaving threatening voicemails for both Willis and Labat.
The indictment alleges that in one of the voicemails, Hansen warned Sheriff Labat about the consequences of taking a mugshot of former President Donald Trump, suggesting that some “bad things” would happen to him.
“If you think you gonna take a mugshot of my President Donald Trump and it’s gonna be ok, you gonna find out that after you take that mugshot, some bad s##t probably gonna happen to you,” the voicemail said, according to the indictment.
In another message directed at District Attorney Willis, Hansen ominously advised her to be cautious when going to her car at night and entering her house, hinting at potential harm.
This incident is not an isolated one.
Over the past few months, there have been multiple threats of violence directed towards Fulton County’s district attorney and sheriff due to their roles in the investigation of former President Donald Trump.
Such threats have become a concerning trend, with public servants like Willis having to resort to wearing bulletproof vests and employing armed guards for protection.
In June 2022, a man named Quartavius Mender was arrested for threatening to kill Sheriff Labat and his wife on social media over Young Thug’s legal issues.
The 18-year-old, who demanded the release of Young Thug, sent a message to Sheriff Labat which read, “#freethug or Imma sh00t u and your wife.”
You’ve packed the gear, washed your ride, and now you’re finishing up the final details of your road trip. There’s one last thing to consider, and it will make or break your journey. What’s going to be coming out of your sound system?
If the music isn’t right, the vibe is gonna be off. Worse, you’ll never hear the end of it. You’ve got to have the best songs queued up and ready to go. These song suggestions will help you get started.
California Love – Tupac
Who doesn’t turn this song up within the first two seconds or so of its familiar intro. This hip-hop classic is so widely popular that it is sure to stop any conversation in the car as your passengers take a few moments to sit and vibe.
Barbie World – Nicki Minaj & Ice Spice Featuring Aqua
The Barbie movie has earned critical acclaim in more ways than one. Even if you didn’t care for the politically-tinged comedy, you must admit the theme song is a bop. It’s also perfect for your road trip. The song is upbeat and fun. Also, everybody is going to want to sing along to the familiar hook sampled from Aqua’s#### song.
Bonus points for this song if your roadtrip has a romantic purpose. If it doesn’t, maybe it should! Check out the Hily app to find other music lovers with a deep respect for hip hop culture.
Get in My Car – 50 Cent
This one is classic 50 Cent with plenty of swagger and lyrics designed for shock value. It’s also a laid-back tune with a driving-related theme. That’s enough to add it to your list for taking a road trip or just going out on a cruise.
High Plains Drifter – Beastie Boys
Paul’s Boutique is still considered to be a seminal Hip Hop album more than 30 years after it was released. Arguably, one of the best songs from that record is High Plains Drifter. But, it’s not included here for its popularity. Instead, it earns a spot on the ultimate road trip playlist because it combines storytelling, great musical composition, and a beat that drives.
Boyz in The Hood – Eazy E
If you were lucky enough to be alive and listening to music and watching movies in 1991, you were a blessed soul. That’s the year Boyz in The Hood was released along with New Jack City. Radio stations spent the year pumping out hits from Queen Latifah, Levert, Color Me Badd, 2 Live Crew, Tony! Toni! Tone!, Ice Cube, and others.
Feel free to pull any of the songs from that soundtrack into your playlist. Every one of them stands up decades later. But, whatever you do, don’t forget to include the song that inspired the title of the John Singleton film in the first place. Boyz in The Hood was Eazy-E’s solo debut and it helped to redefine the genre. Since then, the song has been covered multiple times, and sampled in nearly 100 tunes. You definitely won’t get any complaints if you turn up the volume on this one.
How to Build Your Playlist
It’s all about variety. Unless you are traveling alone, assume that you are dealing with a wide range of musical tastes and preferences. This is even more true if your passengers are a multi-generational bunch.
Also, don’t be self-indulgent. A playlist shouldn’t be your personal lecture where you subject everybody else in the car to your musical tastes. Sure, you might be into some super underground stuff or some really specific Hip Hop genre. That doesn’t mean everybody else is. Feel free to add a few unique additions to the playlist, but don’t go overboard.
Finally, get everyone else involved. You are bound to hear fewer complaints if everyone in the car knows they have at least a couple of favorites on the list.
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed the murder of Shani Louk, who Hamas militants kidnapped from the Nova music festival on October 7. It’s believed she was beheaded.
“We are devastated to share that the body of 23-year-old German-Israeli Shani (Louk) was confirmed,” the agency tweeted on Monday (October 30). “Shani who was kidnapped from a music festival and tortured and paraded around Gaza by Hamas terrorists, experienced unfathomable horrors.”

The Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Bundeskanzler Olaf Scholz also commented, “The news of Shani Louk’s death is terrible. Like many others, she was brutally murdered. This shows the full barbarity behind the Hamas attack – who must be held accountable. This is terror, and Israel has the right to defend itself.”

According to CNN, a source said forensic examiners allegedly found a bone fragment from her skull and were able to identify it as hers based on DNA.
The bone fragment they uncovered came from the petrous part of the temporal bone, located at the skull’s base, which is near the carotid artery, a crucial blood vessel that serves as a primary supplier of blood to the brain.
The deceased woman’s mother, Ricarda Louk, spoke to CNN and said she “was a beautiful, lively person.” She added, “She just enjoyed laughing, and experiencing life, and so it was just cut too short.”
A large chunk of the United States has seemingly joined forces to fight against Mark Zuckerberg and Meta’s Facebook and Instagram—an addiction plaguing Americans.
According to a report from The Washington Post, 41 states and Washington D.C. are suing Meta, alleging the company’s brands have “addictive” features integrated into them that cause harm to younger children navigating the apps. A number of lawsuits have actually been levied against Meta following a 2021 investigation that claims the tech company “contributes to mental health issues among young people.”
More specifically, a 233-page document outlines the issues present in the lawsuit, which alleges Meta is actively engaged in “scheme to exploit young users for profit.” The federal complaint claims Meta is misleading users about their experiences on the app as they relate to safety features, how their personal data is harvested and more.
Another major prong of the lawsuit deals with what the complaint alleges is violation of federal laws regarding children’s privacy. Apparently, state officials are claiming that Meta “knowingly” enacted changes to the platform that were designed to keep children active on the site—even though it was to their “detriment” and purportedly violated consumer protection laws.
And while the lawsuit itself is fairly eyebrow raising, it’s even more shocking that this suit is one of the few Bi-Partisan efforts booth Democratic and Republican politicians actually agree on. This is certainly a moment worthy of one of those Paul Rudd “Look at us” Hot One’s memes.
Anyways, BRB, gotta go check my Facebook notifications quickly.
Latto can add another accolade to her list of accomplishments in 2023. Jung Kook’s global smash “Seven” featuring the Atlanta-bred rapper continues to rack up Spotify plays.
According to a press release, “Seven” is now the fastest song to amass more than 1 billion streams on Spotify in the history of the service. The K-pop track by the South Korean singer dropped on July 14.
“Seven” opened in the Hot 100’s top spot with 21.9 million first-week streams in the United States. Jung Kook and Latto also sold 153,000 combined digital and CD singles during that week’s tracking period.
The Watt and Cirkut-produced single also spent seven weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 chart and nine weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. US chart. It currently holds the No. 3 position on Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global chart.
Nick Grant, hailing from Walterboro, South Carolina, always stood out in a town of around 5,000 residents. His journey began with a simple challenge from friends who dared him to write a better rhyme than theirs. Grant not only won that bet but continued to dominate his neighbors and classmates, one rap battle at a time. That was a long time ago.
However, fate had other plans for Grant and his family, leading them to relocate to Atlanta, Georgia, the epicenter of rap music. This new environment provided the perfect breeding ground for his innate talent. In 9th grade, upon enrolling at Washington High School, Grant immediately immersed himself in the world of rap, skipping school to face off against college students at the nearby Clark Atlanta University, honing his lyrical skills.
Today, Grant stands in a unique space as a young rapper with the hunger of a Golden Era lyricist vying for greatness. His respect in the rap scene has been a gradual and well-deserved one, recognized by various media outlets, tastemakers, and fans for his clever wordplay. AllHipHop’s own Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur once dubbed him “The Luke Skywalker of Rap,” a reference to the iconic Star Wars hero. His success can be attributed to a myriad of things, including his “there is no try” mentality. His unwavering commitment to individuality, storytelling, diverse subject matter, and musical experimentation has carried him forward. But, it is lyrical abilities that will keep him among the elite. Possessing these qualities has set him on a path to becoming one of the industry’s most influential voices with his latest project, “Sunday Dinner.”
In this exclusive interview, Grant runs the gamut of conversation and explains the difficulty of his current path but also why the past efforts with Jason Geter and Chaka Zulu didn’t work. However, the South Cackalacky native explains why Los Angeles is home now and the life changes that have changed his perspective. The pair discuss why Sunday Dinner is really the “first album” he always wanted to make and why it might just be the best rap album of 2023. Reacquaint yourself with the Jedi Nick Grant.
Blueface wants the world to know his love for Jaidyn Alexis is genuine, at least that’s what he shared on Monday (October 30) via social media. Blueface proposed to Alexis at the Los Angeles Rams game against the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier this month. The couple have reportedly been dating on and off for years.
Not surprisingly, some social media users questioned if Jaidyn Alexis and Blueface’s engagement was just a clout-chasing moment, but he pushed back on that narrative.
“Jaidyn is the only female I would ever get on one knee for, this ain’t no publicity stunt,” he tweeted. “[The f###] I’ma marry somebody for clout for, that don’t make no [damn] sense.”

Additionally, Blueface has been involved in a rocky on-again, off-again relationship with his Crazy In Love co-star, Chrisean Rock. The Baltimore-born Blue Girls Club and Baddies cast member gave birth to Blue’s third child in September.
Blueface claims he still makes money off Chrisean Rock despite the fact they no longer appear to be together romantically. Blue also said Rock’s 18-year-old “Mr. Take Ya B*tch” collaborator, Lil Mabu, is part of his Milf Music label roster as well.
“Everyone I wanna introduce you to my newest artist on Milf Music, Lil Mabu. He’s about to blow [the f###] up,” Blueface declared. He later joked, “Mabu gotta give up some ass now he sign to me. Ima get that but.”
However, the credits for “Mr. Take Ya B*tch” do not list Milf Music as a distributor. Milf Music did release the “Barbie” single by Jaidyn Alexis. The track’s music video has amassed more than five million YouTube views since its premiere on October 2.

Popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat has grabbed the attention of the social media world with his seven-day-long livestream from a fictionalized penitentiary. Some people, like comedian Karlous Miller, questioned the move.
“N####s did a livestream in a fake jail? Why the f### would anybody wanna do some s### like that?” Karlous Miller posted on the X platform in response.
However, one X user pointed out that Miller once created comedic content about being behind bars. The @TraySold account tweeted, “This what I mean when I say y’all get on here and be fake mad. Ain’t this you in this fake jail skit?”
That X post about Karlous Miller’s jail skit collected more than 8.4 million views, 38,000 likes and 6,600 reposts. As the tweet went viral, the Wild ‘n Out regular fired back, “N#### we ain’t spend the night in that b####.”
In addition to being part of the Wild ‘n Out cast, Karlous Miller got a foothold in the podcasting space as one-third of The 85 South Show along with DC Young Fly and Chico Bean.

Although currently incarcerated, Suge Knight still finds a way to generate headlines from behind bars. The former Death Row Records CEO recently launched his Collect Call podcast and he used the program to make some serious accusations against Akon.
“I wasn’t going to bring it up,” Knight stated. “One of my homegirls, she was a hustler. She had a little sister, 13 years old. Her best friend was 12 years old. She’s in the car with him. You and Detail call her. And she said, ‘I got my little sister and her best friend with me.’ I said, ‘Well, then stop by for a second.’”
According to Knight, Akon told the woman she could leave her little sister and her friend in a hotel room with him and Grammy-winning record producer Detail. Multiple women have accused Detail of sexual assault beginning in 2018.
“Akon, you f###ed a little girl, 13,” Knight said. “Detail, you f###ed a little girl, 12 years old. Y’all basically raped them.”
Akon pushed back on Knight’s accusatory comments. The “Locked Up” hitmaker addressed those allegations by responding to a Collect Call clip on the X platform.
“The world knows a lie when they hear it,” Akon tweeted. “It’s unfortunate that this man is going out like this. It’s sad and seriously embarrassing. Regardless of our history, I’m still going to be praying for him.”
