EXCLUSIVE: Young Thug’s 2-Hour Conversation With Authorities About Lil Wayne Tour Bus Shooting Admissible In RICO Trial

Young Thug may find himself in a challenging position during his RICO trial, primarily due to his own statements.

In May 2022, Young Thug and 27 others were indicted under Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

The charges ranged from murder to carjacking. While many members, including Gunna, have since taken plea deals, Young Thug staunchly maintains his innocence.

He argues that YSL merely stands for “Young Stoner Life” and is a record label. However, the prosecution contends that YSL is an acronym for “Young Slime Life” and paints Young Thug as the mastermind behind a notorious drug-dealing gang in Atlanta.

To bolster their case, they’ve presented a two-hour interview with Young Thug in the months following a harrowing incident involving Lil Wayne’s tour bus.

In July of 2015, near Atlanta, Lil Wayne’s touring convoy was ambushed with gunfire. The alleged assailant, Jimmy “Peewee Roscoe” Winfrey, was later linked to the attack.

The music community was rife with rumors suggesting the shooting resulted from ongoing disputes between Lil Wayne and Birdman since the former was trying to leave Cash Money Records. Officials in Cobb County suspected Young Thug may have ordered the shooting.

Winfrey was sentenced to 10 years in prison for his role in the 2015 shooting of Lil Wayne’s tour bus. However, he was released from prison in November 2020. Just two years after his release, Peewee Roscoe faced re-indictment on RICO charges related to the YSL case.

Days after the 2015 incident involving Lil Wayne, Young Thug was detained on an unrelated charge for making terroristic threats, but the conversation with the police largely revolved around the attack on Lil Wayne.

While at the DeKalb County Jail, a detective named David Raissi from Cobb County and federal agent Tyra Cunningham visited the rapper. They wanted to talk to him about the incident involving Lil’ Wayne’s tour bus.

Before being read his rights, Detective Raissi told Young Thug that he wasn’t being charged for the shooting, and neither he nor Agent Cunningham planned to charge him for it. In fact, Young Thug was never charged for the shooting. He was only in jail for the separate threat charge from DeKalb County.

Young Thug had a lawyer, but only for the DeKalb County issue.

Even so, the detective and agent read Williams his rights. Young Thug didn’t sign the rights form but talked about the shooting with them for about two hours.

The chat was paused for 15 minutes because Williams had a hearing about the DeKalb issue. He came back and continued the conversation. He never asked for a lawyer during his talk with authorities.

Young Thug desperately tried to suppress the lengthy conversation, claiming that his right to have counsel present was violated and, thus, should not be admissible in his current RICO case.

Since Young Thug wasn’t charged for ordering the hit on Lil Wayne’s tour bus, Judge Ural Glanville decided his right to have a lawyer present during questioning wasn’t violated.

This is because the right to have a lawyer only starts when you’re charged with a specific crime. So, in this case, the court found that Williams didn’t yet have the right to a lawyer for the tour bus incident.

Judge Glanville indicated that the two-hour dialogue between Young Thug and the police would be deemed admissible evidence during the RICO trial.

“[Young Thug] o##### waived his Miranda rights before speaking with Detective Raissi and Agent Cunningham. [Young Thug’s]’ statements to them were voluntary and thus admissible. The evidence presented showed that [Young Thug] voluntarily waived his Miranda rights o#####, despite his refusal to sign the Miranda waiver form, after [Young Thug] was read his rights. An oral waiver of Miranda is a proper waiver of such rights,” Judge Glanville explained.

As previously highlighted by AllHipHop, Young Thug is gearing up to summon several renowned witnesses to vouch for him, including T.I., Killer Mike, Lyor Cohen, and Trae the Truth. The trial has yet to begin. It has been hampered by several delays as both sides attempt to pick jurors.

Firstly, the trial was postponed because some of his co-defendants needed legal representation. In another incident, a prison guard was busted for attempting to smuggle contraband into a defendant awaiting trial.

And yet another wild moment: one of the YSL defendants was accused of conducting a hand-to-hand drug deal with Young Thug in open court.

Additionally, one of the defendant’s lawyers was accused of smuggling pills into court, while several jurors were charged with taking video of the jury selection process.

Adding to these complications, Young Thug’s health became a concern when he was hospitalized for two consecutive days, causing further delays in the YSL RICO case.

Mobile Gaming: From Casual Play to eSports Dominance

Mobile gaming has come a long way since the early days of Samsung or Nokia phones. What was once seen as a pastime for casual gamers has evolved into a formidable force in the world of eSports. The transformation of this activity from a simple distraction to a competitive sport has been nothing short of remarkable.

The Evolution of Mobile Gaming

In the not-so-distant past, video games were primarily associated with consoles and PCs. PC titles are still more advanced today: one can trade cs2 skins and get money or communicate through an in-game chat on their computer. However, as technology developed and smartphones became ubiquitous, a quiet revolution was brewing.

Today, mobile gaming has emerged from the shadows of its console and PC counterparts to claim its own significant share of the gaming market. This article delves into the fascinating journey of how mobile gaming has evolved.

The Humble Beginnings

Mobile gaming started with basic titles like Snake, Tetris, and Space Impact. These games served as entertainment during downtime, but their limitations were clear.

The advent of smartphones with powerful processors, high-resolution displays, and responsive touchscreens revolutionized the niche. Games like Angry Birds and Temple Run showcased the potential of these devices.

The Rise of the Freemium Model

In-app purchases and ads allowed developers to monetize their games effectively. Freemium titles like Clash of Clans and Candy Crush Saga began dominating app stores.

The Mobile Gaming Revolution

As smartphones became more capable, developers started creating more immersive gaming experiences. Casual gamers began to take mobile gaming more seriously.

  • Multiplayer and Social Integration: The inclusion of multiplayer modes and social features allowed players to compete with friends and strangers worldwide. Mobile versions of games like PUBG and Fortnite took the world by storm.
  • Mobile eSports Emerge: The competitive scene within mobile gaming began to thrive. Titles like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Arena of Valor established themselves as eSports giants.

As the industry continues to gain momentum, staying abreast of the latest trends is essential for both players and industry enthusiasts.

  • Cross-Platform Play: Many mobile games now support cross-platform play, allowing gamers to compete against players on other devices such as consoles and PCs, breaking down traditional gaming barriers.
  • Augmented Reality (AR) Gaming: Games like Pokémon GO introduced the world to AR gaming, blending virtual elements with the real world. This trend continues to evolve with games like Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.
  • Cloud Gaming Services: Services like Xbox Cloud Gaming and NVIDIA GeForce NOW are bringing high-end PC and console games to smartphones, further blurring the lines between different gaming platforms.

The Dominance of Mobile eSports

Mobile eSports tournaments now offer substantial cash prizes, drawing in professional gamers and teams from around the world. A wide range of genres is represented in eSports, from battle royales and MOBAs to card games and racing titles, appealing to a broad audience.

Major corporations and investors are pouring money into mobile eSports, recognizing its potential for growth. This has led to increased prize pools, better infrastructure, and bigger events.

The Competitive Scene

Professional mobile gamers are now as revered as their PC and console counterparts. They train rigorously, have sponsorships, and compete in global tournaments. They are also making a name for themselves on platforms like YouTube and Twitch, creating content, and attracting audiences with their skills and personalities.

For aspiring eSports players, there are clear paths to success. Climbing the ranks in games, joining teams, and participating in qualifiers are common routes to the top.

Challenges and Future Prospects

The wide variety of Android devices can present challenges for game developers, as ensuring compatibility can be a complex task. Like any eSports scene, this niche faces issues of cheating and fair play. Developers and organizers are continually working on solutions.

Despite challenges, the future of mobile eSports looks bright. As technology advances, smartphones will become even more powerful, offering new opportunities for game developers and players.

Final Say

Mobile games have transcended their origins as a casual pastime to become a dominant force in the world of eSports. With its widespread popularity, technological advancements, and thriving competitive scene, mobile gaming has firmly established itself as a pillar of the gaming industry.

As we look ahead, the future promises even more developments in the world of mobile eSports, making it an exciting time for gamers. So whether you’re a casual gamer or an aspiring eSports champion, the world of mobile gaming has something to offer everyone. Embrace the journey and watch as it continues to evolve and dominate the gaming landscape.

Cher Vows To Flee United States If Donald Trump Gets Re-Elected

Cher has declared that she “will leave” the U.S. if Donald Trump is re-elected as president.

In a new interview with The Guardian, the music icon, who is dating rap producer Alexander Edwards, stated that if Trump returns to the Oval Office as president, she will leave the country.

“I almost got an ulcer the last time,” Cher, 77, said of Trump’s first presidency between 2017 and 2021. “If he gets in, who knows? This time I will leave (the country).”

Elsewhere in the interview, Cher discussed the laws that are being passed in the U.S. against trans people.

“It’s something like 500 bills they’re trying to pass,” Cher stated. “I was with two trans girls the other night – and of course my own child (Chaz Bono, who is trans). I was saying, ‘We’ve got to stand together.’ I don’t know what their eventual plan is for trans people. I don’t put anything past them.”

Cher has been a long-time supporter of the LGBTQ community. Her 54-year-old son Chaz, whom she shares with her ex-husband Sonny Bono, began his transition in the late 2000s.

Cher is currently gearing up to release a holiday album titled Christmas.

The album, her 27th, was released on Friday. Christmas consists of 13 tracks and features guest artists, including Stevie Wonder, Cyndi Lauper, Michael Bublé, Tyga and more.

Cher said the album “doesn’t scream Christmas every second and isn’t filled with songs you know by name.”

The album’s first single, “DJ Play a Christmas Song,” dropped earlier this month.

NLE Choppa Explains Alleged Disappearance While Slamming “Missing Narrative”

NLE Choppa is speaking out after his mother reported him missing last week.

The 19-year-old rapper explained his whereabouts in one of his recent Instagram Stories, but was clearly uncomfortable with the allegations he was “missing.” As he wrote, “I appreciate y’all showing concern but the missing narrative isn’t cool, especially knowing that people really do go missing everyday. I took a little time to myself to get back to my roots, but trust I’m all good. Apologies to anyone that was worried. We don’t run from battles we take em up chin up. IM BACK.”

NLE Choppa’s mother, Angeleta Potts, alarmed his fans on Thursday (October 19) with a social media post that read: “I haven’t heard from my son in hours, which is highly unusual for him. One thing I’ve always known about my son is that he never disappears without explanation. Another post from “management” encouraged anyone who has seen Choppa to get in touch with Potts.

Less than 24 hours later, Potts returned with a promising update, explaining, ““Thank you for the PRAYERS and SUPPORT,” she wrote. “Choppa’s ok he just needed a minute, but didn’t communicate it to his love ones. I never intended to scare anyone with my post nor did I expect for people to think he is missing But the frustrations of being the mother of a celebrity can be a bit much and overwhelming at times.”

NLE Choppa released his second studio album, Cottonwood 2, in April, which included the singles “S### Me Out” and “Do It Again” featuring 2Rare. But just days ago, some of his fans accused the Memphis-bred rapper of falling off, which perhaps explains he need for a break.

“Folks pissing me off,” he tweeted. “What NLE y’all watching bug beg it up […] Y’all keep asking for old NLE like the music I ain’t been giving y’all recently ain’t getting plaques! I’m tryna grow as [an] artist but y’all want me backtracking on BS. But bet that up. I’m on straight dirt y’all got me f##### up. One of the most streamed artists this year BUT BET.”

Jada Pinkett Smith Denies She’s Gay Despite Have Sexual Experiences With Women

Jada Pinkett Smith has addressed longstanding rumors that she is gay.

In her newly released memoir “Worthy,” the 52-year-old actress wrote of her past sexual experiences with women.

“Now, there have always been rumors that I’m gay – that I like women,” Jada Pinkett Smith wrote. “Maybe that had something to do with the clubs where I hung out, like the Catch, one of the leading LGBTQ+ spots in LA at this time that had nights for getting up and doing lip-syncs, and where I myself, on several occasions, got up onstage and lip-synched to all kind of songs.”

The “Red Table Talk” host went on to reveal that while she “had a few sexual experiences with women,” she realized that “when it comes to sex, I love men.”

“Still, I cherish the beauty of women inside and out,” Jada continued. “And I have never stopped being infatuated and in awe of women of all ages, sizes, and colors. My belief is – women are the most amazing creatures on the planet, and I hold reverence for women through my friendships.”

Previously released excerpts of the star’s memoir have detailed her relationship with late rapper Tupac Shakur, how she overcame suicidal ideation, and the revelation that she and Will Smith had been secretly separated for the last seven years.

Lucki’s Homies Used To Tax Young Thug $5,000 For Promethazine Cough Syrup? Say It Ain’t So

Lucki appears convinced that the bad karma his associates made hustling rappers like Young Thug has finally caught up to him. During his recent appearance on Lil Yachty’s podcast, Lucki spoke about a number of topics including his desire to collaborate with Lil Boat and his newfound sobriety. While remarking on their journey’s battling addictions, the pair of lyricists stumbled on the topic of lean. More specifically, tallying the likely massive dollar amount they’ve spent on Promethazine-Codeine cough syrup.

In the process, Lucki seemingly revealed he used to hang with the same type of lean re-sellers who “take pride” in taxing rappers that he complains about now.

“I don’t like thinking about that,” Lucki started off, laughing. “I remember I used to be coming up and n###s used to be like ‘I just charged Young Thug $5,000—and used to take pride in like, waxing a rapper. I just realized three months ago that I turned into that.”

Lucki and Yachty continued to go back and forth, battling about whether or not lean shortages are actually real or manufactured by dealers themselves.

Megan Thee Stallion Excited By Creative Freedom Cardi B Gives Her On Songs

Megan Thee Stallion enjoys collaborating with Cardi B because the rapper gives her creative freedom on her verses.

Megan Thee Stallion first teamed up with Cardi B for their raunchy 2020 hit “WAP,” and they reunited for their second collaboration, “Bongos,” in September.

In an interview with Billboard, Megan explained that she enjoys jumping on Cardi’s tracks because the hip-hop star lets her do whatever she wants.

“She literally just let me do me. This is the second time she’s sent me a song, and I’ll be like, ‘Friend, can I do whatever I want to do on the beat? I’m finna put two verses on here, all right?’ She always let me do whatever I want to do creatively,” Megan Thee Stallion shared. “I love the creative freedom that she gives me.”

Cardi, 31, also likes to receive suggestions for how to make a song better as a whole.

“She’ll ask me what I think about this song like, ‘OK, how you think we could make it better? What should we do next? Just do whatever you wanna do and then we’ll piece it together,'” Megan Thee Stallion explained. “She’s always open to whatever I’m saying or any suggestion, so I love that about her. She not scared to try nothing, and her ego ain’t big. She’s not a woman that’s scared to say, ‘You’re right.’ So, I really love that about her work-wise.”

The duo performed “Bongos” live for the first time at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) in September.

IShowSpeed Could Become The Bad Bunny Of Brazilian Funk, Thanks To This Producer

Popular streamer IShowSpeed just might be able to break into the world of Brazilian funk music even though he may not be fluent in Portuguese.

While Speed has crafted and released several songs in the past, including his viral “Shake” visual single, it’s a stretch to call him a rapper. Hell, even his streaming counterpart Kai Cenat has a song out with NLE Choppa—but he’s still not a rapper.

However, if there’s an archetype Speed can fit into as a musical artist, it’s that of a creators responsible for the new wave of Brazilian funk. Evidence of such clearly exists in the form of Speed’s recent video “Portuginies.” However, a producer and Instagram creator by the name of Shonci has single-handedly erased any doubts that Speed doesn’t have superstar potential in the space from my mind that whatsoever. Not even gonna cap, I thought Speed was a native after I peeped the track that he dubbed from his original vocals.

In reality, bro is saucing up Speed like he’s BNYX and bro is Yeat, and they decided to take over Brazilian airwaves one time for the one time. Sauce Walks even co-signed the above banger by liking the video. If Speed Phonk is bending genre lines to reach the CEO of TSFBidnezz, then there’s high potential it will really translate well in a native market.

Preserving Precious Memories – A Glimpse at Fall’s Most Anticipated Hip-Hop Weddings

The hip-hop world is full of glitz and glamor, and the drama seems never to stop. However, when out of the spotlight, many of our favorite celebs have day-to-day roles. They are parents and partners, get engaged, and break up.

But today, we’ll focus on the happy aspects of life and look at how celebs get married and who may finally take the step forward and say I do.

The Special Case of Celebrity Weddings

Regular weddings are happy occasions that celebrate the union of two people and their families. Most of us will go through at least one in our lifetime and have the memories to prove it.

However, celebrity weddings are a completely different species of events, especially if we’re talking A-list celebrities. Besides the obvious glitz and glamor that comes with the package, this joyous occasion brings two superhumans together, their families, and the millions of people who follow each of them.

So, it’s only natural that A-list celebrities will hire the services of an A-list wedding planner. These planners are some of the most well-connected people in this industry, with collaborations with major jewelry, fashion, and design brands. They also have teams of experienced planners working under them.

Overall, the planning of a celebrity wedding requires a small army of well-trained people who understand the importance of this event. It also involves several industries and massive budgets, but in the end, the result is absolutely stunning.

Fall’s Most Anticipated Hip-Hop Weddings

After a summer filled with fun and amazing weddings in the hip-hop world (check out Tee Grizzley’s Wedding), we’re expecting the fall will be just as filled with happy events. After all, who wouldn’t want a fall wedding?

For now, there are a few candidates on the list, but nothing has been confirmed. Big names like Post Malone, Trina, Moneybagg Yo, or Tamar Braxton have announced engagements, but no clear save the date (yet).

So, who knows, we may be blessed with a few end-of-the-year weddings.

Preserving Memories

Celebrity weddings are usually broadcast over a wide range of channels (whether it’s during the wedding or after the fact). Plus, you get to read about them in both prestigious magazines and all sorts of tabloids.

But, like almost everything in today’s world, they won’t be the headline for too long. Also, not all celebrity weddings make the first page. Luckily, due to the magic of social media, the followers will know.

If you’re looking for ideas on how to preserve your own wedding memories or those of your favorite celebrities, here are a few ideas:

Digital and Printed Photos

The best way to preserve precious memories and ensure they’ll be fully appreciated is through photos and videos. You can keep them safe in digital format, have them printed in various formats, or make photo books for yourselves and the immediate family.

The desire to preserve memories from the most important life moments is something regular humans and celebrities share. So, even though your photo book is not as fancy as Beyonce’s, chances are both of you have at least one cherished wedding photo album.

Save Memorabilia

While you can find celebrity wedding memorabilia on Amazon or eBay, your own wedding memorabilia are priceless to you. So why not keep a few, like your wedding invitation, menu card from the dinner, or some decorative pieces like table markers?

You can also preserve your wedding bouquet if you know the right technique. If not, there are services that will dry and preserve your bouquet so it remains looking close to how it did on your big day.

Extra tip: one way to keep the memory of your wedding alive year after year is to order Christmas bouquets with the same flowers you had in your bouquet as a bride. You can even request a similar arrangement. This way, you’ll enjoy the same fragrance and visuals as you did back then. Plus, it’s a great opportunity for impressive photos!

Wedding Website or Blog

The idea of a wedding website or blog is not new, but the best part is that you don’t have to take it down. As long as you pay for hosting and domain, you can keep your wedding website up and running.

We also recommend posting updates, like you would with a normal blog. This way, you’ll be able to literally scroll through your life together and remember any major events.

Wrap Up

Whether it’s the union of two regular people or the merger of two A-list celebrities, weddings are happy occasions. And, as regular people, we get to enjoy our own events and the ones of our favorite celebrities.

Post Malone Shocked By Taylor Swift’s Comment About His Music

Post Malone has recalled the “inspiring” time Taylor Swift complimented one of his songs.

During an appearance on “The Howard Stern Show,” Post Malone remembered the time the Grammy Award winner complimented his 2018 song “Better Now.”

“I was doing, I think like a radio show or something, and we were just passing by and she was like, ‘Oh my God, nice to see you. Like, ‘Better Now,’ is f###### amazing,'” Post Malone told host Howard Stern of their meeting.

“And I was like, ‘What? That’s f###### crazy. You’re a great f###### songwriter. Thank you so very much,'” the 28-year-old added.

The musician explained that he appreciates when artists acknowledge each other’s work.

“There’s so many beautiful artists in the world and for another artist to acknowledge that is a really, really, really b####### thing,” he said. “It’s a really special thing. So, I think that that was a really cool moment, and it was very inspiring.”

Kid Cudi Secretly Created Voice For His “Trolls” Character

Kid Cudi privately devised a different voice for his “Trolls Band Together” character between being hired and recording his part.

In the third “Trolls” animated movie, Branch reunites with his estranged brothers and BroZone bandmates after one of them is kidnapped and held captive.

While the actors generally stick to their own voices in the “Trolls” franchise, Kid Cudi decided to try something new after being cast as Branch’s brother Clay.

“He came up with this whole voice,” director Walt Dohrn revealed in an interview. “We hire him, we talk with him, he’s excited to be a part of the Trolls universe, and then six months later, I think it was, he came in to record for the first time, and he’s like, ‘I’ve been trying this voice.’ He developed the voice on his own, and we said, ‘Absolutely, that’s great.'”

Dohrn explained that he usually discourages his actors from putting on a voice, but Kid Cudi’s decision worked perfectly for his character.

“A lot of time, we encourage the actors to use their own voice to add some realism because the characters are so wild and the world is weird and so fantastic, but in this case, it just fit this character,” he shared. “We are all about collaboration and when he came in with that voice, we said, ‘Absolutely, this is perfect.'”

Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake lead the “Trolls” movies as the voices of Poppy and Branch. Eric André, Troye Sivan and Daveed Diggs make up the rest of BroZone in the latest edition.

“Trolls Band Together” was released in U.K. cinemas on Friday, October 20. It will be released in the United States on November 17.

Jada Pinkett Smith Says Will Smith Is No Longer “Blind” To Her Needs

Jada Pinkett Smith has insisted that her current relationship with Will Smith is “solid” now that his eyes have been opened.

During a new interview with “Extra,” the actress detailed the current state of her relationship with Will after announcing that they have been separated for seven years.

Jada shared that she and Will have been “working hard together” and that he is no longer emotionally blind to her needs.

“That’s been the beautiful part of this second half of our journey, is that we’ve really done a lot of hard work together… now we started off codependent,” the 52-year-old said. “We had to find our independence in order to come back in an interdependent way… And being able to see one another’s point of view and really respect and love each other… it’s a journey, man.”

In her new book “Worthy,” Jada has opened up about many aspects of her life, including her secret separation from Will Smith.

“The idea that we were separated for seven years and that we’re like still apart after the Oscars, we made our way back, you know, and I think that piece has been left out of the narrative,” she told the outlet, referring to the 2022 Oscars when Will slapped Chris Rock after he joked about her shaved head.

Despite the challenges in her marriage, Jada stated that she has no regrets in her life.

“I regret nothing… we think that when life gets tough or we have challenges that we’re not worthy or something’s wrong with us, as if we’re not supposed to be challenged in life,” she said. “But it’s the challenges where we find our greatest selves, and without them, we won’t.”

Explaining how she knew it was the right time to tell her story, Jada said, “I couldn’t tell my journey to self-worth without adding that part… I really needed to separate to find myself again… that was nobody’s fault. That’s on me.”

Jada added that she and Will “are talking about writing a book, together, called ‘Don’t Try This at Home.”

The Hollywood duo married in 1997 and share two children, Jaden, 25, and Willow, 22.

Beanie Sigel Endorses Robert Kennedy, Jr. For President—Not Kanye West

Kanye West isn’t the only Roc-A-Fella Records alum sticking his nose into politics. It seems Beanie Sigel, the Broad Street Bully, has followed suit, throwing his support behind presidential candidate Robert Kennedy, Jr. Kennedy, the nephew of former president John F. Kennedy and son of Robert Kennedy, Sr., posted the Philly MC on his X profile.

“Legendary rapper Beanie Sigel just endorsed me for President,” he said. “Thank you for your support, Beanie. #Kennedy24.”

The video shows Beans introducing himself and saying, “My thoughts today was very uplifting. This is actually, the first time that me, following a presidential campaign, that I believe that the person that was running was honest. I’m supporting Kennedy for this upcoming campaign.”

The “Roc the Mic” recording artist said he “had a chance to read over a lot of [Kennedy’s] policies, and the things that he wants to bring forth,” which made him believe that he would be a candidate that would try “to empower” people, specifically those who matter to Beanie Sigel.

“I’m supporting his campaign and I suggest that you support his campaign,” the rapper said.

Many may wonder if Beanie, who’s served time off and on in prison since 2006, is even eligible to vote. However, just because someone has been convicted of a crime in Philly—even a felony—doesn’t mean they can’t vote.

According to the Vote.Pa.Gov website, “You are not eligible to register and vote if you: Are currently confined in a penal institution for conviction of a felony and will not get released from confinement until after the next election. This is even if you are also incarcerated for one or more misdemeanor offenses; Are in a halfway house or other alternative correctional facility on pre-release status for conviction of a felony and who will not get released until after the date of the next election; Or got convicted of violating any provision of the Pennsylvania Election Code within the last four years.”

Another presidential candidate tried to use rap to get younger potential voters. Vivek Ramaswamy tried to use Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” during a stop. However, the Rap God ended that with a cease and desist.

Meanwhile, Waka Flocka, Lil Pump and Sexyy Red have backed Donald Trump, while Beanie’s former Roc-A-Fella labelmate Kanye West decided he won’t make a bid for the Oval Office in 2024.

Lil Rob Keeps It “All To The Bueno” As He Preps First Album In Nine Years

Lil Rob landed a Billboard Hot 100 hit in 2005 with “Summer Nights,” one of two singles from the Chicano rapper’s sixth studio album, Twelve Eighteen, Pt. 1. Released via Upstairs Records, the track would become a quintessential summer anthem for countless fans of Lil Rob’s “feel good music.” It’s nothing Lil Rob necessarily expected.

Growing up in San Diego’s La Colonia de Eden Gardens neighborhood, he became enamored by the funk stylings of Zapp & Roger, The Gap Band, S.O.S. Band and later, the electro of Egyptian Lover. His father, who left when Lil Rob was just five years old, had been in an oldies band, so his musical fabric started coming together at an early age. Rob also had another brother who was a DJ. As a teenager, Rob would go to house parties with him and he’d have the chance to jump on the decks when his brother needed a break. That’s where he started rhyming, too.

But Lil Rob really had the chance to hone his craft holed up in his bedroom, where he’d write for hours. In the early ‘90s, he began performing as Lil Rob & the Brown Crowd. His first single, “Oh, What a Night in the 619,” was later featured on his 1997 debut, Crazy Life (although the title was shortened to “Oh, What a Night”). As his career began its ascent, he signed a deal with Upstairs Records, a relationship he’s fostered since 2002. In fact, the label is behind Lil Rob’s first album in nine years, All To The Bueno.

Frankly, Lil Rob is lucky to be here. In 1994, he was shot in the jaw and his chin was shattered. If the bullet had traveled just a few inches north, the consequences could’ve been much more dire.

“My town was more family-oriented, so when one of my friends got into something, it was just like helping out part of your family,” he tells AllHipHop. “It was nothing crazy compared to what I’ve seen since I’ve grown up and out of the place where I was at. There’s a lot more dangerous places, so I was lucky enough to have it be just crazy enough to tell my stories and not too crazy not to live through it.”

Even with Lil Rob’s Chicano pride, he decided gang life wasn’t really for him. As the years ticked by, he ultimately renounced any of his gang affiliations and called for “Brown Pride” and unity among his fellow Chicanos.

“I’m proud of my heritage and proud of my culture,” he explains. “Like when I say brown and I wear a brown bandana and say I represent ‘Brown Pride,’ I don’t mean that in a derogatory way. I don’t mean it like that. Ain’t nothing racial about me. I’m just proud to be brown and that’s what it is. I am proud to represent the people I represent.”

And that’s evident in his catalog. His latest single, “Moment In Time,” is directed by famed Chicano photographer/documentarian Estevan Oriol. Much like “Neighborhood Music” and “Summer Nights,” it puts a spotlight on his heritage while pumping out that same positivity that got him noticed in the first place.

“That’s just what I want to put out there right now—feel good music, real good music, real hood music but nothing too crazy,” he says. “We said something about uniting and it’s not really uniting with just my people but just good people in general—no matter what color you are.”

Now in his late 40s, Lil Rob has clearly done some growing up. He’s a father, husband and someone who genuinely wants to see the world become a better place. Simultaneously, he knew coming back with his first new music in nearly a decade couldn’t have been better timed. Not only is it the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop, but Lil Rob’s uplifting music is also needed right now.

“We’ve been doing a lot of these shows and pretty much everybody always asked me when I got some new music,” he says. “I did a few features for Spanish Fly and some other people, then listening to the people asking me where my new music is. It was just about that time to put something out by myself. It’s just me and my producer Fingaz, who did ‘Summer Nights’ for me. It’s me on all the verses. No features. No nothing.”

All To The Bueno is scheduled for a November 3 release and features 10 tracks of quintessential West Coast lowrider raps that revel in uplifting personal narratives over an array of timeless rhythms. Watch “Moment In Time” above and stream it here.

The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan Sues ADL For $4.8 Billion Over Anti-Semitic Claims

The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, head of the Nation of Islam (NOI), has initiated a lawsuit against the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), seeking a staggering $4.8 billion in damages.

The lawsuit alleges that the ADL has consistently and falsely labeled him as anti-Semitic, causing irreparable harm to both his reputation and that of the Nation of Islam.

The roots of the lawsuit go back to 1983. Minister Louis Farrakhan, known for his eloquence and powerful oratory, delivered a speech at the 20th Anniversary of the 1963 March on Washington.

Despite speaking for only six minutes, his address was so impactful that it was lauded by The Washington Post as the most significant message of the day. During this period, Reverend Jesse Jackson informed Minister Farrakhan of his intention to run for the 1984 Presidential nomination, seeking his endorsement.

Reverend Jackson’s campaign, which advocated for a balanced foreign policy concerning Israel and Palestine, drew sharp criticism from the ADL after he referred to New York as “Hymietown” during an interview in 1984.

In a controversial move, a group named “Jews Against Jackson” published an ad in The New York Times, questioning Reverend Jackson’s suitability for Jewish and American support.

This ad led to a surge of threats against Reverend Jackson. Concerned for his safety, Minister Farrakhan provided security for Jackson and his family through the Fruit of Islam, a trained group of men from the Nation of Islam.

According to the lawsuit, the ADL’s scrutiny soon shifted from Reverend Jackson to Minister Farrakhan himself. The organization accused him of holding and promoting anti-Semitic views, a claim he has vehemently denied.

“Said plainly, the Defendant ADL uses the term ‘anti-Semitic’ as a ‘trick,’ and as a bludgeon to beat people into submitting to its will, and their actions, in this regard, are not in alignment with the will of ‘The Founding Fathers’ of the United States of America,” according to Farrakhan’s lawyer, Abdul Arif Muhammad ESQ.

The ADL’s CEO, Jonathan Greenblatt, dismissed the lawsuit. “Louis Farrakhan is an antisemite. One need look no further than his own words and statements to come away with the same conclusion,” he told The New York Post.

The lawsuit delves deep into the history of the ADL’s actions, highlighting instances where the organization has labeled individuals as “Anti-Semitic” for expressing views that diverge from its policies.

Notable figures such as Andrew Young, Ice Cube, DeSean Jackson, Marc Lamont Hill, and even comedian Dave Chapelle have faced similar accusations from the ADL. The lawsuit alleges that the ADL has used this label as a “trick” to manipulate, punish, and influence others to conform to its views, particularly regarding policies regarding the Palestinian People or criticisms of Israel’s alleged misconduct.

Furthermore, the lawsuit discusses the ADL’s purported ties with governmental agencies. Historical documents suggest that as early as the 1940s, the ADL had connections with the FBI, with evidence pointing to collaborations in espionage and sharing private information.

The lawsuit also alleges that the ADL has worked to hinder Minister Farrakhan’s ability to speak freely, especially on Black college campuses, by imposing onerous requirements and threatening repercussions.

Minister Farrakhan’s legal action is not just about seeking $4.8 billion in damages for alleged defamation and violating his First Amendment rights.

It also calls for a reevaluation of the term “antisemite,” urging the court to declare its false use as defamation per se. Additionally, the lawsuit seeks a declaration that the ADL operates as a quasi-governmental actor, given its alleged ties with government agencies.

Drake Super Fan Buys Billboard Ad To Invite Rapper To Her Sweet 16 Party

When superfan Miya Garcia invited her favorite rapper Drake to her Sweet 16, she didn’t send him a standard invite. Instead, she and her mother rented a billboard on Interstate 10 and Akron Street in Houston, TX.

Garcia, who is 15 years old now, hopes that the grand gesture will get Champagne Papi’s attention and that he will take time, now that his “All A Blur” tour is a over, to kick it with her and teenage friends.

Her goal? It is to get just “one dance” from the “Hotline Bling” chart-topper.

“I love his music. I love his style. He’s really inspiring,” Garcia said before explaining to FOX 26 that she asked her mom to help her devise a plan to get the Canadian heartthrob to her shindig.

“I said, ‘I want Drake to come to my party,’” and her mother put the plan into action.

The billboard, which is already up, reads, “Drake you’re invited to my Sweet Sixteen- Your biggest fan, Miya.”

“I was just trying to think of something that would just get his attention,” Garcia said in an interview with KVUE. While she is unsure if Drake is aware of the Billboard, Garcia says it has caught the attention of people nationwide.

The young lady says if Drake popped out at her birthday party, it “would be a day to remember forever.”

Her dream might not be that far-fetched since Houston is Drake’s home now. The Billboard historymaker has recently purchased a home in the city.

Plus, Garcia is clinging to hope, inspired by the artist’s music as she sits and waits for his call.

“He always like says never give up,” the teen reasoned, which seems reason enough for Garcia to keep dreaming of Drake being her guest.

Kim Kardashian Reveals Kanye West is Cool With Male Nanny Raising Their Kids

Kim Kardashian revealed that she has hired a new male nanny to help raise her boys, after her divorce from rap star Kanye West.

Kim Kardashian was “scared of (her) mind” to tell her ex-husband Kanye West that she had employed a male nanny.

In the latest episode of “The Kardashians,” the SKIMS founder revealed that she hired a male nanny to spend time with her seven-year-old son Saint.

“It’s really hard for me to be really strict and to discipline a lot,” Kim admitted. “My parents weren’t strict at all and sometimes because I’m really busy, it would be amazing if I had a partner who would tap me out and take over and handle it but, you know, it can’t happen like that.”

The television personality shares four children with Kanye: North, 10, Saint, seven, Chicago, five, and Psalm, four. The pair married in May 2014 and finalized their divorce in November 2022.

“I do think that my household and even our family is very female-dominated. I recently hired a manny,” Kim continued in the episode. “I really wanted a male around that would be picking them up and taking them to sports, and I was scared out of my mind to tell their dad that.”

Despite her fear, Kanye West took the news well.

“When he was dropping off the kids, Kanye introduced himself. They played two-on-two with Saint and him,” she recalled. “He’s been so nice to him, like, ‘Hey, if you’re going to help raise my son’ – because he handed him the ball really easily or something – he’s like, ‘Don’t do that, have him get it himself. It’s some of the rules I would want.’ And I was like, ‘Oh my God, okay.'”

Kanye is now believed to be married to Australian architect Bianca Censori.

NLE Choppa’s Mother Says Rapper Has Been Found Safe & Sound

NLE Choppa’s mother, Angeleta Potts, has revealed the rapper has been found. On Friday (October 20), Potts shared an Instagram update on her son, just hours after she claimed he’d been missing.

“Thank you for the PRAYERS and SUPPORT,” she wrote. “Choppa’s ok he just needed a minute, but didn’t communicate it to his love ones. I never intended to scare anyone with my post nor did I expect for people to think he is missing But the frustrations of being the mother of a celebrity can be a bit much and overwhelming at times.”

Jim Jones Flies High With “ByrdGang 2.0” Project Boasting Lots Of New Talent

Jim Jones is a Harlem legend, not just because he’s part of the Diplomats collective—he’s earned the title Capo for how he moves and the boss plays he has spearheaded over the last two decades. Now, as the top dog over at Vamp Life/ MNRK URBAN, he is introducing a new generation of spitters.

The “Ballin’” recording artist has used his notoriety to support a group of new artists on his latest project, Jim Jones & ByrdGang 2.0, released on all streaming platforms on Friday (October 20).

AllHipHop.com was able to link up with Jim Jones, Freekey Zekey, and a few of the new members of ByrdGang at a private listening party earlier this month. The energy was high, but more than that, the lyricism was top-tier. Capo has pulled artists from all over the country to give them a chance to do their thing on a major level.

When asked when he decided to be a boss, Jones replied, “Right now, I am doing my job as a boss and creating as many opportunities as possible and the fairest chances for my artists to obtain success. If I do that, I feel like I gave them a fair shot to make it in the big leagues.”

Jordan Poole Has Crowned Rap’s Next Superstar—Guess Who?

Veeze is to Jordan Poole what DaBaby was to the rap game during his 2019 run bolstered by “ROCKSTAR” with Roddy Ricch—so basically he’s the next big superstar.

Or so he says, as evidence of their recent link up in the NBA champion’s new home of Washington D.C. It appears as though their link-up was initiated by Veeze’s fanbase, who’ve consistently compared the avid NBA fan to the former Golden State Warriors guard recently—asserting the pair are actually forbidden twins. “Y’all made this happen,” he wrote in the caption of a photo he tweeted of he and Poole together.

A separate video of their interaction was shared on social media and aside from the height difference, there are definitely similarities between Poole and Veeze’s likeness. No matter the case, Poole took a moment to acknowledge what makes them unique, affirming that the Detroit lyricist is occupying the top spot as we speak rather than so to speak. “Superstar, next up—if not here, he is already here,” Poole said.

Poole may have a point though, considering Veeze has embarked on The Ganger Tour after landing a new deal with Warner Records. Additionally, the subsequent formation of his Navy Wavy label adds yet another layer of potential greatness to the mysterious shroud that represents Veeze’s ever-developing career trajectory.
