Metro Boomin Says Hackers Based In Drake’s City Stole His Accounts In $23K Balenciaga Scam

Metro Boomin has revealed he was involved in a not-so-elaborate hacker scam that almost cost him his accounts and nearly $23,000 in Balenciaga.

In a string of tweets, Metro made multiple bombshell claims, but the main one revolves around a would-be hacker gaining control of his iCloud and social media accounts, in addition to his Verizon cell phone number. In his initial tweet, Metro claimed he merely regained control as of the time of his Twitter (X) post.

“Jus got my phone # and accounts back today somebody hacked me the day the album dropped smh,” Metro wrote in part. “and all those corny ass tweets all my day 1s know that’s nowhere in my character All positivity always on my end We blessed It’s all love [Heart emojis].”

Things started to get juicy right afterwards though, as Metro seemingly points to Drake’s home country of Canada being involved, revealing he was receiving back-to-back calls from numbers with a (416) area code coincidently based in Toronto.

As if the story couldn’t get any more elaborate, Metro Boomin went on to layout the wildest story of how the alleged scammer attempted to finesse his Balenciaga rep for over $23,000 in goods.

He also claimed the hacker was trying to get items sent to Houston, even though he was in Atlanta. And I know what you’re thinking, “Bro you’re reaching this has nothing to do with Drake, even though he bought a house in Houston.” Nine times out of 10 I’d agree too, but this being the tenth time and Metro Boomin seemingly leaked an address in Houston on purpose makes me think otherwise. Even though I know Drake isn’t living in an apartment.

https://twitter.com/metroboomin/status/1775327230421287147?s=46&t=JlJdTKUTRsKldsKg7Vc6Ug

In the likely event Metro Boomin didn’t leak Drake’s address, it is worth noting he ended up dropping tweets confirming he tweeted the infamous “Pick a side” tweet and confirmed he wasn’t sneak dissing 21 Sabage so who cold it be.

But as GloRilla would say, at the end of the day they got to end and it appears Metro is ending his day on a semi uninhabited basis. Until then, check out the post below running down entire story chronologically.

Kim Kardashian Embroiled In Underwear Grammar Gaffe

Kim Kardashian, the icon behind the popular Skims brand, has recently been criticized by fans after a conspicuous typo was spotted on a piece of her bridal lingerie collection.

The social media mogul and businesswoman, renowned for her meticulous attention to detail in her diverse range of beauty, fashion, and lifestyle ventures, seems to have overlooked an embarrassing grammatical mistake on a pair of Skims underpants designed for brides.

The product in question, a thong featuring whimsical, wedding-themed phrases embroidered directly onto the fabric, aimed to combine Skims’ signature comfort with playful nods to marriage.

Phrases like “Foreva eva” and “Future Wifey” were intended to add a personalized touch to the bridal experience.

However, the charm was somewhat diluted for customers and fans when an incorrect version of “You’re Mine” was embroidered as “Your Mine” on the lingerie.

The error quickly attracted attention online, with a Reddit user initially pointing out the mistake.

“Omg this typo! She should be humiliated!” the user exclaimed, prompting a flurry of reactions from the community. Many expressed disbelief that such a glaring error could bypass multiple stages of review and make it into the final product.

“That is so embarrassing how does that even get past design planning?!?” commented one follower, echoing the sentiments of many who were puzzled by the oversight.

Another chimed in, highlighting the collective bemusement: “how could this get past so many people without anyone noticing?”

In a comedic turn, some followers proposed that the typo might have been an intentional, if cryptic, reference to something else entirely.

“Maybe it’s not a typo and it really means ‘your mine’ as in mine field,” joked a user, adding a playful note to the ongoing discussion.

Kim Kardashian and the Skims team responded to the typo controversy by pulling the thongs off the market.

Nonetheless, the incident has sparked a lively exchange among the brand’s followers, blending critique with humor over the unexpected slip in Skims’ typically polished image.

Jay-Z’s Made In America Festival Canceled For Second Straight Year

Jay-Z’s Made in America festival will not return in 2024. Festival organizers announced the event’s cancellation for the second year in a row on Wednesday (April 3).

“Made In America will not take place in 2024,” festival organizers wrote on social media. “Since its inception, this groundbreaking festival has celebrated music & community – from creating a space for fans to connect, to uplifting local small businesses & shining a light on important causes. It has strived for accessibility, eliminating barriers through affordable tickets and location.”

They added, “As purveyors of change, the Made In America executive production team is reimagining a live music experience that affirms our love and dedication to music and the work we do. We promise an exciting return to the festival.”

Made in America was canceled “due to severe circumstances outside of production control” weeks before it was supposed to be held in 2023. Lizzo and SZA were booked to headline last year’s festival. Ice Spice, Coi Leray and Latto were among the other notable acts scheduled to perform.

Jay-Z founded Made in America in 2012. The festival was held annually during Labor Day weekend in Philadelphia.

The COVID-19 pandemic forced the festival to be put on hold in 2020. The festivities resumed in 2021 and continued in 2022 before last year’s cancellation. Former Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney expected Made in America to return in 2024.

“We are grateful for all the partners and festival goers who have contributed to this event’s incredible success over the years, especially our partners at Roc Nation,” Kenney said in 2023. “We look forward to bringing Made in America back and bigger than ever to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway next year.”

Festival organizers never applied for a permit in 2024. Current Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker has not commented on Made in America’s latest cancellation.

Chance The Rapper & His Wife Split Causing “Big Day” Album To Age Poorly

Chance the Rapper and his wife Kirsten Corley announced their divorce on Wednesday (April 3). The two revealed they separated before deciding to end their five-year marriage.

“After a period of separation, the two of us have arrived at the decision to part ways,” they said in a joint statement. “We came to this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. God has blessed us with two beautiful daughters who we will continue to raise together. We kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate this transition. Thank you.”

Chance married Corley in 2019, the same year he released his debut album The Big Day. The album became the source of countless memes due to its focus on the couple’s marriage. The project spawned the “I love my wife” joke, which followed Chance for years.

Last year, Chance faced scrutiny for his antics at Carnival. Viral footage showed him participating in a racy dance with another woman, sparking debates about whether or not it was appropriate behavior for a married man. Corley reacted to the conversation by quoting the late Maya Angelou in an Instagram post.

“Most people don’t grow up,” Angelou said. “It’s too damn difficult. What happens is most people get older. That’s the truth of it. They honor their credit cards, they find parking spaces, they marry, they have the nerve to have children, but they don’t grow up. Not really. They get older. But to grow up costs the earth, the earth. It means you take responsibility for the time you take up, for the space you occupy. It’s serious business. And you find out what it costs us to love and to lose, to dare and to fail. And maybe more, to succeed.”

A rep for Chance claimed the couple was “all good” following the controversy. But their relationship went sour in subsequent months as the two called it quits.

Rod Wave Arrested In Florida

Rod Wave landed in a Florida jail on Wednesday (April 3). According to the Tampa Bay Times, the rapper was arrested in connection to an ongoing investigation by St. Petersburg police. He was booked by the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

The Alamo Records artist was charged with two counts of illegally possessing a firearm or ammunition as a convicted felon. He remains in custody in Manatee County.

Rod Wave’s attorneys Bradford Cohen and Mark Rankin claimed the rapper is not a convicted felon.

“The officers that made the arrest are incorrect,” they told TMZ. “He is not a convicted felon and has never been a convicted felon. We would have hoped additional research would have been done prior to them filing these charges.”

His lawyers intended to pursue legal action over what they believed was a wrongful arrest.

“As with any case we will hold those parties that made the error accountable for their actions,” they declared.

St. Petersburg police Chief Anthony Holloway planned to announce “several major arrests in an ongoing investigation” at a press conference scheduled for 4 p.m. ET. Police refused to release more details ahead of the conference.

Rod Wave, whose real name is Rodarius Marcell Green, previously caught a felony battery charge in 2022. He was accused of choking his ex-girlfriend. Prosecutors dismissed the case a few weeks after his arrest.

“We are thrilled that this misunderstanding is behind him and he can move forward with a successful career,” Cohen wrote on Instagram in 2022. “Sometimes misunderstandings can be misconstrued and it isn’t until all the evidence and witnesses are reviewed that the right decision is made by the States Attorney. We thank the Osceola State Atty for his professionalism.”

The domestic violence case was Rod Wave’s only recent run-in with the law before Wednesday’s arrest.

SIGNS: Earth Is Losing Time—Literally

In a twist that could send shockwaves through our daily lives, the very fabric of time is under threat from an unlikely culprit dubbed the “negative leap second.”

For eons, our planet has pirouetted through space, its rotation gradually slowing like a weary dancer coming to a halt. But with the advent of atomic clocks, a new player entered the stage and ushered in a cosmic clash between two conflicting measures of time, astronomical and atomic.

“The Earth’s rotation has been slowing down, largely due to the tug of the moon’s gravitational force,” explains Duncan Agnew, lead author of a groundbreaking study from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. “But atomic clocks, unfazed by celestial whims, continued ticking with unwavering precision.”

This misalignment birthed the phenomenon of leap seconds, where every few years, an extra second is added to our clocks to reconcile the growing disparity between atomic time and the Earth’s sluggish spin. But as Agnew and his team discovered, the plot thickens.

In a revelation that could send shivers down your spine, Earth’s rotation is actually picking up speed, fueled by the tumultuous churnings of its molten core. “We’re witnessing an unprecedented acceleration,” Agnew remarks, “a cosmic conundrum with potentially far-reaching consequences.”

But fear not, for Mother Nature has thrown us a lifeline in the form of melting ice at the poles, acting as a cosmic brake to slow Earth’s frenetic pace. Yet, this icy reprieve may be short-lived, as the rapid thawing of polar ice threatens to tip the scales once more, hurtling us towards a “negative leap second” scenario by 2029.

“It’s a delicate balancing act,” muses Dennis McCarthy, retired director of time for the US Naval Observatory. “We’re dancing on the edge of a temporal precipice, with the fate of our global timekeeping system hanging in the balance.”

But why should we care about a mere second lost in the annals of time? The answer lies in the intricate web of modern technology that underpins our daily lives. From global communications networks to financial transactions, our digital existence hinges on precise timekeeping to function seamlessly.

“The repercussions could be catastrophic,” warns Agnew. “Software systems designed to add time may struggle to cope with the unprecedented task of subtracting it, potentially wreaking havoc on a global scale.”

Amidst the chaos, a battle rages between traditionalists clinging to the sanctity of leap seconds and tech titans forging ahead with their own solutions. “The fights are so serious because the stakes are so small,” remarks physicist Judah Levine, encapsulating the absurdity of the situation.

As the world hurtles towards the precipice of a negative leap second, the fate of time itself hangs in the balance. Will humanity triumph over this temporal turmoil, or are we doomed to watch as the fabric of reality unravels before our very eyes? Only time will tell, literally!

50 Cent Plays Up Rumor Of Replacing Diddy At Ciroc

Sources connected to Ciroc denied rumors of the vodka brand wanting to hire 50 Cent to replace Diddy. A TMZ report citing sources with “direct knowledge” insisted there was “zero truth” to a MediaTakeOut story claiming Ciroc hoped to make 50 Cent the new leader of its brand.

Diddy was the longtime face of Ciroc before he got embroiled in a dispute with its parent company Diageo in 2023. Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, sued Diageo for racial discrimination.

Diageo responded by severing ties with Diddy. The two sides settled the lawsuit in January 2024.

“Sean Combs and Diageo have now agreed to resolve all disputes between them,” Diddy and Diageo said in a joint statement. “Mr. Combs has withdrawn all of his allegations about Diageo and will voluntarily dismiss his lawsuits against Diageo with prejudice.”

Diddy gave up ownership of the DeLeón Tequila brand in the settlement. He previously co-owned the brand with Diageo.

“Diageo and Mr. Combs have no ongoing business relationship, either with respect to Cîroc vodka or DeLeón tequila, which Diageo now solely owns,” the former business partners announced.

MediaTakeOut, an outlet with a poor reputation for reporting the truth, ran a story about Ciroc’s alleged interest in hiring Diddy’s rival 50 Cent on Tuesday (April 2). The article quoted a supposed high-level executive at Circoc.

“Back in 2007, 50 Cent was our initial top choice as brand ambassador,” the unnamed person said. “But Diddy came in and stole the deal away. Many in the company always thought that 50 would be the better fit.”

A post shared by 50 Cent (@50cent)

50 Cent, who loves to troll Diddy, shared a screenshot of the article on Wednesday (April 3). The G-Unit boss didn’t refute the story but used it to promote his Branson Cognac and Le Chemin du Roi as he always does on Instagram.

“Good morning people start the day off with positive energy, and make what your heart desires happen,” 50 Cent wrote. “QGTM.”

TMZ said 50 Cent remained focused on his Sire Spirits with no interest in Ciroc. The report seemed accurate based on his social media antics. He continued promoting his liquor brand by taking another shot at Diddy and the mogul’s allies.

“Diddy’s boy friend called me a sell out,” 50 Cent wrote. “He is correct I’m selling out BRANSON COGNAC LOL drink responsibly.”

Multiple women and producer Lil Rod sued Diddy for sexual assault, among other allegations, in recent months. The feds raided the Bad Boy Records founder’s homes as part of a sex trafficking investigation in March.

Lil Wayne To Premiere New Single At WrestleMania 40

It appears Lil Wayne will have a WrestleMania moment this year. The Young Money leader announced he will debut a brand-new song at WWE’s two-night professional wrestling event in Philadelphia.

Lil Wayne showed up on this week’s Monday Night Raw alongside former WWE tag team champion Jey Uso. The segment from the April 1 episode included Wayne confirming his WrestleMania XL appearance.

“If you’re free next week, I know you got a busy schedule, but if that thing’s clear, come through to Philly,” Jey Uso told Lil Wayne. The New Orleans native responded, “I’m gonna be there. And you know what? I’m bringing my single, world premiere.”

Lil Wayne has been teasing the Weezy vs. Wheezy collaborative project with Mississippi-born producer Wheezy. Set to arrive on Friday (April 5), the promotional artwork for Weezy vs. Wheezy features redesigned WWE and WCW logos.

Jey Uso will go one-on-one with his brother-turned-partner-turned-rival Jimmy Uso at WrestleMania XL. The card also includes matchups such as The Rock and Roman Reigns versus Cody Rhodes and Seth “Freakin” Rollins. WrestleMania XL takes place on April 6 and 7 at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field.

Flavor Flav Slams “Flavor Of Love” Reboot Reports: “I Have No Interest”

Flavor Flav has denied a report claiming he’s participating in a Flavor of Love reboot. The Public Enemy tour de force took to Instagram on Tuesday (April 2) to address a recent article published on Deadline.com that read: “We’re in the process of working with Flavor Flav to reimagine what Flavor of Love can feel like in this in this decade, which is very different. The project is really fun, a comedy in the dating space. Flav will not, however, be doing the dating this time around but will be part of the process.”

Flav, however, clearly wants nothing to do with it. He wrote: “An article was published this morning in Deadline about me that is a complete lie. I am NOT involved with a Flavor of Love reboot and have no interest. I am partnered with a new production company and together we are developing concepts that highlight where I am now as a person,,, vs where I was. You can’t get to the next chapter by staying on the same page. This clock round my neck is moving forward, not backwards.”

https://www.instagram.com/p/C5R0WStvtHE/?igsh=MXZ0YmFwYXhkcnRlYg%3D%3D

Flavor of Love initially premiered on VH1 in 2006. While not a direct spin-off, the show was a result of Brigitte Nielsen and Flavor Flav’s failed relationship on Strange Love. Twenty different ladies competed for Flavor Flav’s heart as they live together in a mansion in Encino, California. The show helped launch the ensuing I Love New York, Rock of Love and Real Chance of Love, among others.

The show catapulted Flavor Flav to another level of fame, even though he’d already found immense success with Public Enemy. The Flavor of Love 2 finale was the second highest-rated non-sports basic cable show of 2006. It lasted for one more season and officially came to a close in 2008.

Flav is a different man these days, so it’s no surprise he wants to do other things. With more than three years of sobriety under his belt, the 65-year-old has a new lease on life. Aside from his numerous appearances at the Grammys, iHeartRadio Music Awards and other Hollywood events, he recently teamed up with Chuck D for a solo single called “Everywhere Man” because, frankly, he is everywhere.

Lil Durk Offers Caitlin Clark $10 Million In Response To Ice Cube’s $5 Million Proposal

Iowa Hawkeyes guard Caitlin Clark is one of the hottest athletes in America. The NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer even has Ice Cube and Lil Durk wanting to do business with her.

Ice Cube confirmed offering Caitlin Clark a “historic” deal to play in the N.W.A member’s BIG3 three-on-three basketball league. That reported $5 million proposal created shock waves in the sports world.

Lil Durk saw a tweet about Ice Cube’s lucrative offer to Clark. On Monday (April 1), The Almost Healed album creator posted, “I got 10 million come play with my 3.”

Considering Lil Durk shared his message about a potential eight-figure agreement with the 2023 AP Women’s College Basketball Player Of The Year on April Fool’s Day, the 31-year-old rapper likely meant the response as a joke.

Ice Cube made serious considerations about signing Caitlin Clark to the BIG3. The Hip-Hop legend stated, “America’s women athletes should not be forced to spend their off-seasons playing in often dismal and dubious foreign countries just to make ends meet.”

Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes eliminated rival Angel Reese and the LSU Tigers from the 2024 NCAA women’s basketball tournament in a highly-anticipated rematch from last year. Iowa moves on to face UConn in the Final Four on April 5.

Michelle Obama Praises Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” Album: “You Have Changed The Game Once Again”

Cowboy Carter by Beyoncé has received universal acclaim from professional music critics. Former First Lady Michelle Obama also hailed the 32-time Grammy Award winner’s new country-coded studio LP.

“[Beyoncé], you are a record-breaker and history-maker. With Cowboy Carter, you have changed the game once again by helping redefine a music genre and transform our culture. I am so proud of you!” Michelle Obama tweeted on Tuesday (March 2).

Country legends Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson and Linda Martell appear on Cowboy Carter. The 27-track project has a heavy country music influence. However, Beyoncé incorporated Hip-Hop, R&B, pop, and rock into the album’s sound as well.

Cowboy Carter is a reminder that despite everything we’ve been through to be heard, seen, and recognized, we can still dance, sing, and be who we are unapologetically. This album reminds us that we ALL have power,” Michelle Obama posted.

The Light We Carry author also added, “There’s power in our history, in our joy, and in our votes — and we can each use our own gifts and talents to make our voices heard on the issues that matter most to us.”

Beyoncé endorsed the United States presidential run of Michelle Obama’s husband, Barack Obama. Following the then-Illinois senator’s 2008 election victory, the Houston-bred singer performed “At Last” at The Neighborhood Inaugural Ball in 2009.

“Together, we can stand up for what we believe in, and we must do that at the ballot box this year,” Michelle Obama promoted in her X thread about Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter.

Michelle Obama concluded, “The issues that impact us most are on the ballot across the country — from equal pay and racial justice to reproductive healthcare and climate change. And as Queen Bey says at the end of ‘Ya Ya,’ we need to ‘keep the faith’ and ‘VOTE!’”

Joe Biden, Barack Obama’s vice president from 2009-2017, is running for reelection as president in the 2024 campaign. The Democratic politician will likely face off against former Republican president Donald Trump in a rematch of 2020.

Metro Boomin Announces Concert At Egypt’s Pyramids After Claiming He Got Hacked

Metro Boomin’s chart-topping We Don’t Trust You album with Future has been a major topic in Hip-Hop since its release on March 22. The 17-track collaborative effort may have triggered some fans of Toronto rapper Drake.

Apparently, a hacker took over Metro Boomin’s X account after We Don’t Trust You came out. The St. Louis-raised, Atlanta-based record producer returned to the social media platform to address the situation.

“[Just] got my phone [number] and accounts back today. Somebody hacked me the day the album dropped, smh, and all those corny ass tweets. All my day [ones] know that’s nowhere in my character. All positivity always on my end. We blessed. It’s all love,” Metro Boomin posted on Tuesday (March 2).

Did Kendrick Lamar’s Diss Directed At Drake Lead To Metro’s Phone Problems?

We Don’t Trust You trended for several days on social media. Kendrick Lamar’s headline-generating “Like That” verse, which featured shots at Drake and J. Cole, played a huge role in elevating the buzz surrounding the project.

According to Metro Boomin, calls from the Toronto area code flooded his phone. He tweeted, “It all started 2 days before the album dropped and all these 416 numbers would call me back 2 back a million times. It got so bad I had to keep my phone on airplane mode.”

Metro also claimed someone forcibly signed him out of his iCloud account and he no longer had service on his phone. In addition, the Boominati Worldwide founder alleged the hacker attempted to purchase $23,000 worth of Balenciaga items under his name.

Kundalini Grand Pyramids Will Host Metro Boomin’s Concert

While he revealed the ordeal involving his phone being hacked, Metro Boomin also took time to announce an upcoming performance at the Kundalini Grand Pyramids in Egypt. The event will take place at the base of the Great Pyramid of Giza.

“In other news, I’m doing a show at the Pyramids in Giza,” Metro Boomin tweeted Tuesday evening. Kundalini Grand Pyramids and Live Nation Middle East confirmed the April 30th concert on their respective Instagram pages.

Ms Hustle Wins Battle Rap’s Woman of The Year Award After Heated Debate

Ms Hustle has been crowned battle rap’s 2023 Woman of the Year (WOTY) by Jay Blac’s annual panel following an intense hours-long debate that got pretty heated.

The Harlem native and Jim Jones signee was one of three favorites heading into the debate following a year that saw the talented women of battle rap showing out on some of the biggest cards and against top male and female competitors.

Brooklyn’s Jaz the Rapper and San Bernardino’s Coffee Brown completed the three-horse race with stacked 2023 resumes featuring former champions, main event placements and international battles.

On Tuesday (April 2), a panel of six battle rap aficionados hosted by Champion’s Reda debated for over three hours before crowning Ms. Hustle the 2023 Woman of the Year. After a lively discussion, the panel voted Jaz in the third spot, with Coffee placing second.

The panel cited Hustle’s dominating performances throughout the year, including winning her headlining clash against Tay Roc for the Baltimore veteran’s 50th URL battle and her battle against Casey Jay for an upcoming Netflix documentary.

QB Black Diamond and Casey Jay rounded out the Top. 5. Check out the other finalists below.

WOTY wasn’t the only award on the night, with fans voting for several categories. Rocq Lee snagged Rookie of the Year, while Casey Jay won Body of the Year for her victory over Mazi.

Her Bardashian teammate, Jaz The Rapper, won 52% of the overall WOTY fan vote. Jaz also triumphed in three other categories, with fans agreeing she had the best performance, battle and round of 2023.

AllHipHop fans also voted for the WOTY Top. 3 as their leading trio, although in a different order, with Jaz first, Hustle second and Coffee third. They also made history, placing in the COTY rankings, the first time three women have ever done so.

Ms Hustle is set to collect her WOTY belt and $10,000 prizemoney at a ceremony later this month.

Pusha T Reheats Beef With Drake, Claims No One Ever Touched Him

Drake has a lot of foes at the moment. As the Canadian superstar deals with the fallout from Kendrick Lamar and Future throwing shots his way, longtime rival Pusha T surfaced again.

Pusha T and Drake have been feuding for years. Their rivalry peaked in 2018 with the release of King Push’s now-classic “The Story of Adidon” diss track. However, the Virginia native recently had more to say about the beef.

On Tuesday (March 2), an X user tweeted, “I just wanted to point out that after all these years of mob talk from Drake, nobody ever laid a finger on @PUSHA_T.” The Clipse member replied, “Not a pinky nail… [rolling on the floor laughing emoji].”

Drake eventually admitted to taking a loss in his battle with Pusha T. After “The Story of Adidon” shocked the system, the OVO Sound leader continued to attack Pusha T with subliminal bars in his music.

“Every time I hear a subliminal in one of his songs, it just lets me know how deep it hurt him,” Pusha T stated in 2022. He also said, “But every time it’s a subliminal, I’m like, ‘Yes.’ It burns. It still burns. It lets me know. I love it.”

Some Hip-Hop fans believe Drake aimed at Pusha again on Travis Scott’s “Meltdown” off the 2023 album Utopia. Ironically, Scott appears on Future and Metro Boomin’s new LP, We Don’t Trust You, which includes disses directed at Drake.

Fat Joe Claims He Hasn’t Recouped On 23-Year-Old Album Despite 2M Sales

Fat Joe doubled down on accusing major labels of running a Ponzi scheme, claiming he still owes money on a 23-year-old album that sold over two million copies.

The Terror Squad rapper recently took to Instagram Live to clarify his remarks about labels at the Wall Street Journal‘s The Future of Everything Festival last year.

“I said major record labels are a Ponzi scheme,” he began. “You realise it’s just like a bank.”

He continued, accusing record labels of plucking talented kids from the projects and giving them an album advance only to take the lion’s share of the profits.

“They make the profits off the records. They charge you whatever they spent on the video. It ain’t like we 50/50 partners, they pay half off the video we pay half of the video,” he added.

“So it’s robbery. All the way through. So that’s why I say it’s a Ponzi scheme,” Fat Joe said.

He went on to claim he sold 2 million copies of his sophomore solo album, J.O.S.E (Jealous Ones Still Envy), yet has not recouped over two decades later.

“When I get my statement from the major label 20 years later, I still owe them money,” Fat Joe stated. “I put out an album independently on Empire and get distribution, my album might sell 250 to 300,000 records, I make millions of dollars off of it. What’s the difference?”

Stevie J Defends Diddy, Slams 50 Cent: “This Is Another Crucifixion Of A Black Man”

Stevie J has broken his silence to defend Diddy after being caught up in the recent Homeland Security raids on the embattled Hip-Hop mogul’s home.

The former Bad Boy Records producer is speaking out in multiple interviews, condemning the force used in the raids. He also addressed 50 Cent, who he repeatedly called an “Uncle Tom,” accusing him of attempting to “bring down” the Black community for spreading lies about Diddy.

“Whatever someone does in their bedroom, that’s what they do,” he said during an interview with TMZ Tuesday (April 2). “I don’t got nothing to do with that, I’m just here to say that I’ve never seen my man doing anything foul like they talking about.”

He also assured Diddy is in good spirits despite the mounting legal issues, and is spending time with family.

Stevie J then moved on to 50 Cent, who he recently challenged to a fight. He brought up past allegations levied against the G-Unit founder before urging, “stop being a girl and talking about dudes.”

The veteran producer was at Diddy’s Star Island home in Miami when federal agents executed their search.

“I was sitting outside the studio door, and I heard a big boom,” he recalled. “I’ve witnessed some historical events of excessive force but none like this since Saddam Hussein or El Chapo or Pablo Escobar. Even Osama Bin Laden.”

Stevie J claimed feds aimed lasers at him and shouted at him to get on the ground.

“Three big armored vehicles come, dudes jump out. I got 50 dots on my shirt,” he added.

In another interview Tuesday, Stevie J repeated his defense of Diddy.

“My man would never break the law,” he told FOX 5 NY‘s Lisa Evers. “We’re law-abiding citizens. That’s what we do. You know this is another crucifixion of a black man.”

Kodak Black’s Shocking Response To Diddy Comparison: “Might Kill Me A Kid But I Ain’t Raping”

Kodak Black didn’t appreciate people comparing him to Diddy after debuting a new look, but his attempt to distance himself from the embattled Hip-Hop mogul’s alleged crimes horrified fans.

The controversial rapper recently linked up with Twitch streamer Adin Ross. The pair chatted with fans on Instagram Live when a commenter remarked on his mustache and goatee combo.

“Kodak look like Florida Diddy lmao,” the Pompano Beach native said, reading the chat. “B#### you got me f##### up. No Diddy. Take that Take it.”

Kodak Black then said he would never “rape” anybody, as Diddy is accused of, but ended up confessing he would commit other crimes.

“I’ll smack me a elderly b####, I even might kill me a kid but I aint raping,” he declared. “I mean kill him as a baby, but I ain’t raping. I ain’t doing that.”

Clips of the Instagram Live circulated online, with many fans shocked at Kodak Black’s remarks. Others shared concerns over possible substance abuse.

“Am I the only one who caught him saying might even ki.. me a kid!? I’m not tripping,” said one person. “Did he just say he would take a child life?” said another, while a third added, “This man sick.”

Kodak Black is currently battling his own legal issues. He recently spent two months behind bars for oxycodone possession and got into an altercation with a photographer upon release. He was also sued earlier this year for allegedly ripping off a transportation company.

She’s BACK: Lizzo Not Quitting Music

Lizzo has clarified she’s not giving up making music after a despairing Instagram post.

The “About Damn Time” singer posted a video explainer on her Instagram to clear up any confusion created by a recent post in which she had said, “I quit.”

While many had interpreted her previous post to mean she was leaving the music industry, Lizzo, 35, said she was merely going to stop caring about public criticism.

“I wanted to make this video because I just need to clarify when I say, ‘I quit,’ I mean I quit giving any negative energy attention,” she explained in the new video.

“What I’m not going to quit is the joy of my life, which is making music and connecting to people. And I know I’m not alone. In no way, shape, or form am I the only person experiencing that negative voice that’s louder than the positive.”

She went on to declare she wanted to inspire others to ignore negative feedback.

“If I can just give one person the inspiration or motivation to stand up for themselves and say they quit letting negative people, negative comments win, then I’ve done even more than I could’ve hoped for,” Lizzo said.

“I’m going to keep moving forward and keep being me.”
