The fallout from the apparent female rap war brewing behind-the-scenes continues to play out publicly. Nicki Minaj recently took aim at several women with some observers believing Minaj aimed at least one of those shots at her “Blick Blick” collaborator Coi Leray.
The drama began with the release of Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl (Queen Mix)” featuring Katie Got Bandz, Akbar V, Maliibu Miitch, JT, and BIA. It appeared some of the rappers that did not make the cut felt a certain way about being omitted from the track.
“Industry so weird… only if y’all know the half… yuck… Anyways FLY SH!T OUT NOW 🆑😍💘🔥🏆,” tweeted Leray on the same day the “Super Freaky Girl (Queen Mix)” arrived on DSPs. She also added, “Be careful from fake smiles.”
Industry so weird .. only if y’all know the half … yuck …. Anyways FLY SH!T OUT NOW 🆑😍💘🔥🏆
This week, another interesting tweet from Coi Leray raised eyebrows. Yesterday, the Trendsetter album creator made accusations about the media’s relationship with an alleged, unknown tormenter.
“Paying blogs not to post me is sad,” tweeted Coi Leray. Moments later, she added, “What’s in the dark always comes to light! Stay prayed up! Stay focused!!” Leray also tweeted, “Hurt people hurt people.”
Coi Leray then tried to stir the conversation in a more positive direction. The Republic recording artist wrote, “Don’t come over here looking for problems. The world got plenty of them already so let’s promote positivity as much as we can.”
Following the “Queen Mix” turmoil, many social media users assumed Coi Leray’s September 18th tweets were a subliminal message about Nicki Minaj. That assumption also stems from other celebrities accusing Minaj of pulling political moves out of public view in the past.
The bad blood between Lil Tjay and Don Q reportedly involved a disagreement over who is the real “King Of New York” for this era. Back in 2020, Tjay downplayed Don’s labelmate, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, as the holder of the NYC crown.
Apparently, Don Q did not forget the back-and-forth from two years ago. The fellow Bronx native recently tweeted, “God b letting the wrong n##### survive smh.” That statement came after news of Lil Tjay’s recovery from the shooting.
Then Lil Tjay dropped “Faceshot (Many Men Freestyle)” on September 17. On the 50 Cent-inspired track, Tjay repeated that he is the king of his city. He also seemed to reference Don Q and A Boogie’s Highbridge The Label associate Trap Manny.
“This what ya wanted lmaoo. 😂😂 Guess it’s time to shake sh## up,” wrote Tjay on Instagram. “I woke up feeling like @50cent, [you know] what that means .🤧 After this ima just go mainstream on ya.”
He added, “‘Many Men Freestyle’ out now but I named this one #FACESHOTTTTTTTTTT Cause [you know] yeahhh 🤷🏾♂️🫢😌😉😉 but spam these comments if ya waiting on some more hot sh## 👀.”
On Sunday, Don Q released a track titled “IDK.” While Don did not mention Lil Tjay by name, some of the bars on the song appeared to be directed at the Destined 2 Win album creator.
“IDK” opens with Don declaring, “I don’t know who shot you.” In addition, he raps about his target of the diss track wanting to act like 50 Cent for clout. The Don Season emcee also mentions someone taking seven shots.
“You must gotta death wish, you trying to mention the squad. Got shot, now you’re saying names all over your raps. P#### boy, I could imagine what you told the detective. Got out the hospital, now you’re over-aggressive,” spit Don Q. The 32-year-old New Yorker also said he is happy his opponent is still alive.
Florida-bred rap duo City Girls scored Top 40 hits in 2019 with “Act Up” and “Twerk” featuring Cardi B. One half of the group, Yung Miami, is apparently ready to leave the rap game already.
On Sunday, Yung Miami tweeted her reactions to the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons versus Los Angeles Rams game. Another Twitter user asked the woman born Caresha Brownlee if she understood football.
The Quality Control representative responded, “Yes I cheered up until high school I know football very well!!!!!!!” This led to a different Twitter user telling Yung Miami to make better music.
“B#### I don’t even rap no more! Eat this P#### hoe I retired!” Yung Miami shot back at her online critic. Many of the rapper’s fans then began questioning if she was really walking away from the recording studio.
If Yung Miami does retire from making music, she will likely lean more toward her role as a new media figure. Miami’s Caresha Please podcast launched on the Revolt network earlier this year. So far, the show has featured interviews with Kevin Gates, Megan Thee Stallion, Saweetie, and others.
“Revolt is about giving a platform to the most authentic and disruptive voices in Hip Hop that move the culture,” stated Revolt founder Sean “Diddy” Combs in June. “Yung Miami is not only a superstar artist, she’s also unapologetically herself and brings a perspective women around the world can relate to, which is why I’m excited to bring her podcast to life.”
Caresha Please earned a Best Hip Hop Platform nomination at the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards. City Girls have also picked up nods at the BET Awards and Billboard Music Awards over the last three years. Yung Miami and JT’s song “Good Love” featuring Usher peaked at #70 on the Hot 100 chart in July.
It seems that every second active Internet user (and especially on social networks) has at least once thought about creating his own blog and becoming a famous author. And this is not surprising, because the development of new technologies has led to the fact that people spend most of their free time online and even build businesses on various platforms. For many creators, Insta has become a platform through which they were able to gain fame, monetize content, and great advertising offers.
But along with the development of the site, competition increases. About 500 million people log into the app every day to check the feed of posts, upload a new post or take down stories. The amount of content is difficult to count and it becomes more difficult to surprise users. But this does not mean that it is impossible to achieve the desired result. In this article, we will tell you what steps you need to take to get closer to your goal and become more visible and competitive on the site.
Filling out all of the details.
Before you learn how to attract the attention of the audience, make sure that your page is ready for this. Optimize your account and make it competitive.
Come up with a memorable and catchy nickname that will set you apart from the crowd. You can use your first name, last name, or funny nickname as the account name. The main requirement is that it should be readable and understandable. Do not use double letters and avoid using punctuation marks such as dots, spaces, or hyphens. This will complicate the search for your profile in the future.
Create a subscriber base. It may not be obvious, but the second thing that the person who visited your page pays attention to is the number of followers. Why? Because this is an indicator of the success and popularity of the author of the blog. The higher this number, the more attractive you look in the eyes of users, and competitors take you seriously. Take the opportunity to buy real Instagram followers, with which you will increase the activity on the page.
Your description and bright avatar can have a big impact on potential readers. Do not ignore these sections and fill in each of them. As an avatar, choose a successful portrait or a creative blog logo. It is important that it be unusual and memorable. In the “about yourself” section, write a couple of suggestions about the blog, its advantages, and interesting headings. Your goal is to capture the viewer’s attention and encourage them to click on the “follow” button.
Don’t forget to optimize the profile header to make your blog easier to find. In this section, you need to give concise information about the account and write about the niche in one sentence.
Posting at the right time.
So, after you have made sure that the profile is ready, it’s time to publish the first posts. The audience of each blogger is unique, and each of them studies his audience to understand which time period is comfortable for them. Some promotion specialists claim that there is a universal time from 7 to 10 pm, at which most users rest after work or study. But in fact, this is a misconception. Your subscribers may be busy in the evenings and not be able to go online to evaluate your content.
The best thing is an experiment. Start posting posts at different times and monitor the dynamics and coverage using statistics (it is free and available for professional accounts). This way you will increase the visibility of publications and get more views and likes, which means that posts will be able to get into recommendations to attract the attention of potential subscribers.
Collaboration with other authors. The path to success is a long and time-consuming process, but you can simplify it if you do it together. Many novice bloggers are looking for support from colleagues, and most manage to find it. Do not wait for a newcomer to write to you and offer to create joint content, sometimes they hesitate to offer mutually beneficial cooperation. Don’t take an example from them, have the courage and write to them yourself.
Find a blogger who has the same statistics and publishes posts on similar topics. Do you have a few subscribers and do you want to collaborate with more successful authors? This is not a problem just buy Instagram followers so that a popular blogger does not refuse the offer. In this case, you will significantly grow subscribers, increase activity on your account and become more famous in the thematic community.
Cross-promotion. After your posts have started to collect a lot of likes and comments, and the page looks solid, you can use the possibility of cross-promotion. According to statistics, most Internet users have accounts in at least 3 major networks: Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram. And you can use them to attract an audience to the IG page.
To do this, you do not need special knowledge and skills – post several publications and attach a link to the account. Tell your readers that you have decided to become a blog author and ask for support. A loyal audience will show activity and subscribe to the page, especially if you offer a nice bonus.
The magic of following trends. Trends disappear as quickly as they appear. But if your goal is to get as many subscribers as possible and become famous, you need to know which posts and topics are in demand and are at the peak of fame.
Study the accounts of fashion houses to study the stylish design of the page, go to the pages of popular influencers, and analyze which formats and topics have gained the maximum number of likes and comments. This way you will have an understanding of which publications will be able to get large coverage, and which of them are no longer relevant.
Communicate with subscribers. Anyway, social networks are created so that people can communicate with each other more. As a blogger, you need to pay attention to your readers, answer their questions, give valuable advice (if they ask) and ask for an opinion about your work. This will bring you closer to your followers and create an image of a friendly person who is ready to enter into a dialogue despite the number of subscribers. Users began to appreciate sincerity, naturalness, and openness more. We advise you not to put on “masks” and be frank with your viewers, otherwise, they will feel the falsity of your answers and may leave.
Be creative. If you want to identify yourself as a unique person, you have to come up with your own “highlight” that will distinguish you from others. You can show your talents when it comes to creating Reels or IGTV. Create a vivid image, generate unique ideas, and style successful stories to suit your theme. Together, these actions will lead to the fact that users will recognize your style and publications, distinguishing them from millions of others.
Conclusion
That’s it! In this text, we have written the most important steps, following which you will be able to achieve the desired result and become a popular blogger. Do not forget about the quality of publications, post only good photos or videos, write interesting posts and use different formats for submitting information. Go to your goal and act wisely, then everything will work out. Good luck!
Tell us a little bit more about your background, where were you born/raised, and how you got into music.
I was raised in Deerfield Beach, FL. It’s about 45 mins north of Miami. I wasn’t raised in the nicest neighborhood and I was always different from the people around me but I learned early on to embrace that. It’s not about where you’re from it’s about where you’re going.
Some familiar artists from my area are XXXTENTACION, Ace Hood, and Kodak Black. I used to make these really annoying noises as a kid and they drove everyone in my family crazy. Those “noises” eventually became words and those words became melodies. Still, singing was just something that I would do for fun. It wasn’t until I went to The Mango Festival where that would change.
The Mango Festival was my first live show experience. There were two stages, one for local talent and one for the headliners. Pretty Ricky was really big at the time so it was jam-packed with people from all over. One of the local dance groups had just got off stage and this one girl caught my eye.
She was the prettiest girl in the world too so I made sure I introduced myself and got her number. We were only like 11 at the time so it was a house phone and talking after 9 pm on school nights wasn’t gonna fly [Laughs]. I wanted to see and talk to her more but she lived in a
different city. She was a dance student at Parkway, a performing arts school in Fort Lauderdale, Fl and told me that if I got accepted into one of the magnet programs they would send a bus for me.
So, one morning my dad dropped me off at school and I pretended to walk in but I never did. When he left I found the closest bus stop. I had never taken the city bus on my own but I knew how to use Google. I figured it out and got there. I had already called the school and scheduled an audition. I pretended to be my dad. Yeah, I was a very crafty kid. [Laughs]
I met with a man named “Mr. John” and he kept asking me where my dad was, and I told him we should just get started since my dad was “outside in the car stuck on a work call” and had to go soon. Mr John showed me around and asked me which program I was interested in. I decided to sing a song in hopes of being accepted into the vocal program. I sang John Legend’s Ordinary People and funny enough Mr. John turned out to be the vocal director. Damn, there’s a lot of Johns’ in this story [Laughs]
So the next day I found out that I got accepted! I had to figure out how to tell my mom what I did, but surprisingly enough she didn’t really trip. She took me the next day and got me registered and that was the beginning of a path that I’m still on today. I was now having to sing every day and I became well known for my voice. I was “the new kid that could sing”.
What are some of your biggest achievements and milestones?
1. Well being from Florida I didn’t grow up with many “big break” opportunities In regard to music. Things are changing now but at the time Pit Bull and Flo Rida were really the only two international artists within arms reach.
I didn’t speak fluent Spanish so I thought Flo was my best bet. I told myself that one day I would get his attention and one day I actually did!
I started posting videos of me singing covers on YouTube my second semester of college and a girl I knew ended up becoming his personal assistant and showed him my videos.
I got a phone call from him while he was in Vegas for the Grammy and he asked if I would be interested in meeting with his manager Freezy down in Miami. I, of course, agreed and the rest is history.
2. During the days of Myspace I would post a lot of my music and it would get the attention of other local artists looking to collaborate. Some of those artists went on to become multi-platinum selling artists such as, and Sean Kingston.
At the time, I was more focused on my academics but having people around me that became so successful by sticking with what they loved made it all the more real to me. It made that dream that I once thought was unrealistic and achievable.
3. I once heard someone say if you’re in the room you deserve to be there. Well, I’ve been to some rooms! Each time I’m reminded that I’m right where I’m supposed to be and to never give up on my dreams.
4. While Being signed to Flo-Rida, I learned how to move like an artist.
I’m so grateful for that experience.
How did your background affect your journey and current situation? What influenced youto become a Singer and Musical Artist?
So on my mom’s side, my family members are very creative, mostly with their hands. There is a lot of sewing, cooking, and arts and crafts. On my dad’s side, work ethic comes into play. All of the Bakers are hard workers. Because I was the only one in the family that was into music I would be put on the spot often, and that’s what gave me the experience and confidence to consider myself a singer.
Was there a certain moment that was a turning point in your life?
I was always told that I go to college, get a job, and start a family. That’s all I knew. Academics came extremely easy to me, to a point where I never really felt like I was learning anything.
I graduated high school early and went to FAMU with every intention of becoming a Dermatologist. When I got there I just didn’t feel motivated to attend any of my classes. Being away from home for the first time and not having any parents to force you to do anything didn’t help either [Laughs]
I was on academic probation the whole time and knew I didn’t want to be there. My childhood friend Kisean famously known as Sean Kingston invited me to come to visit him in Hollywood Hills, CA for Christmas break and it changed my life.
It was my first time in California and it was my first time seeing Sean since he became a Pop-star. He lived in this amazing mansion overlooking the mountains and I couldn’t believe that the same kid I met on myspace and made music with had attained all of this.
I got back to my dorm room with two twin beds and a snoring roommate waiting on me. but I had a new perspective on what was possible and I wasn’t going to shortchange myself. I finished my freshman year of college and never went back.
How did that help you shift to who you are today?
That was just the beginning of my journey toward discovering my magic. The power of manifestation. I strongly believe that when you believe you can have something, it’s already yours.
What is next for Tevin Baker?!
I’m currently in the process of finishing my EP, I am putting my hear and soul into every word and melody. I feel like it’s finally time to share more of my music with the world.
I also have a BIG announcement coming up that I am not allowed to share at the moment, but I know it’s going to be something the fans will love and appreciate.
NipscoGang Foreign has made a name for himself with his bold delivery and illustrative lyrics. He proves that again with his latest, “CAME FROM NOTHING” featuring Lou Gram. This track follows up on his previous anthem, “FREE THE REAL.”
The Indiana rapper shows he’s ready for takeoff, armed with the perfect instrumental to do what he does best. Foreign shows up aggressively, flexing with tempered confidence. Sharp snares back him up as he flows effortlessly, rapping about everything that garners envy from his haters. NipscoGang Foreign is nonchalant and unapologetic in his wordplay. He’s going to say whatever he pleases.
Foreign continues to pave his way with his distinct demeanor. And the Indiana native won’t be stopping anytime soon. He’s a menace on the track. The only question is: what’s next? Stay tuned.
Tory Lanez has denied being involved in an altercation with August Alsina after the “No Love” singer claimed Tory assaulted him after he came off stage on Saturday night (Sept. 17).
August alleged that the Canadian crooner snuck him before hiding behind his armed bodyguard. He claimed Tory was extra “turnt” after “hitting a blunt laced with cocaine,” and assaulted him because he refused to dap him up.
He took to Instagram to share photos of his gruesome injuries, allegedly caused by Tory Lanez. August also added a lengthy caption describing what he claimed was “never a ‘fight’’ but “simply an assault.”
According to August Alsina, Tory Lanez, whom he described as a “4’11 sized leprechaun,” “ran down on me,” following his show. He explained that he was a fan until Tory spoke about his business publicly. August said Tory “caught me off guard,” and “I assumed he didn’t like me.”
August claims “no disrespectful words were exchanged” during the conversation. However, “he snuck me when I turned my head to move to the side,” before running away. “There was never a “fight”!,” August Alsina stated. “Simply an Assault. Dude has no real friends, and is on a crash out mission.”
The New Orleans-bred singer said he “was gone keep it G & not come to the net,” but claimed Tory was “feeding falsities to blogs.” Check out his lengthy post below.
Nonetheless, Tory Lanez says he has no idea what August Alsina is talking about. “Nothing happened,” he told DJ Akademiks on Sunday. “I don’t even know what this kid is talking about.”
DJs are extremely crucial to the music industry. Not only are they playing music for an audience, but a DJ is also primarily responsible for providing knowledge about music to his listeners. Whenever a new artist emerges on the scene, they automatically reach out to DJs in hopes of getting their record spun. They are able to let artists know which of their music their fans are engaging with and which they are not.
A DJ has the power of transforming an event just based on their tracklist. They can bring the dynamics and liveliness to a musical event in ways no other medium is able to match. Dj Smiles from Iowa is a prime example of understanding the power of music. His talents have landed him on tour with a few big-name artists, and given him the opportunity to travel the world. Having an ear for music turned into a career that has changed his life.
When asked, “
What can we expect from you this year? DJ Smiles replied, “Top of the year to be placed with an artist as the official DJ”.
Kid Cudi believes he is not getting the love he deserves from the Hip-Hop community.
Just a day after entertaining a reported 1800 people on Saturday (Sept. 17) at his Moon Landing Festival in his hometown of Cleveland, the “Day ‘n’ Nite” rapper took to Twitter to share his woes.
“I am the most hated man in hip hop right now it seems,” Kid Cudi declared on Sunday evening. ‘But I’m really one of the most blessed!! 😭” he added.
While Cudi thinks he’s “the most hated,” he doesn’t care what others think of him.
“God is so so good. Every and all the time,” Kid Cudi continued. “Remember yall, Scott here to remind you dont give a f### about what anyone says about you. F### em. No matter what anybody tries to do, they cant stop your shine and they cant stop your destiny from being fulfilled. ☺️ I am proof. Watch me yall. Big bro will show u.”
Cudi also plans to write a memoir, giving fans “the full story.” Check out his posts below.
“It’s gonna take a m############ miracle for me and that man to be friends again. I don’t see it happening,” Kid Cudi declared during an interview with Esquire. “He gon’ have to become a monk.”
However, Kanye appears to have softened his stance following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. He took to Instagram to publicly end his beef with Cudi, and a few others he had been feuding with.
“Life is precious,” wrote Ye. “Releasing all grudges today. Leaning into the light. He then extended his best wishes and blessings to Kid Cudi alongside Pete Davidson and Adidas executive Daniel Cherry.
No word from Kid Cudi yet on whether he accepts the olive branch extended by Kanye West.
Kim Kardashian has insisted Kris Jenner bequeath a priceless Chanel handbag to her daughter North West in her will.
During an appearance on “The Late Late Show” with James Corden, the reality TV star recalled the time her mother overshadowed her experience at a photoshoot with Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld back in 2013.
Kim was heavily pregnant with North, whom she shares with ex-husband Kanye West, at the time, and was distraught when the couturier presented the momager with her dream purse.
“(Karl) pulls out this Lego clutch bag, a really popular bag he did and it was a crystal one. I’d never seen a crystal one. It was a one-of-a-kind runway piece that didn’t even go into production. It was black and white, with black crystals. Then he goes over me and hands it to my mom,” the 41-year-old sighed.
“I went to the bathroom and started hysterically crying and I’m pregnant and hormonal, flew all the way to Paris for this. I called my cousin Cici (Bussey) and said, ‘This b**ch!’ I had this whole plan; this was going to be (North’s) bag and it was going to be displayed in her room.”
But while Kris thwarted Kim’s plans for the purse, North is set to get the expensive gift one day in the future.
“So, my mom has a provision in her will that North gets the bag if, God forbid, she passes away,” she smiled.
Post Malone has insisted he is fine after falling onstage during a show over the weekend.
During his “Twelve Carat Tour” concert at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis on Saturday night, the Rockstar hitmaker tripped over an area of the stage used to lower instruments while performing his song “Circles.”
Post, real name Austin Richard Post, received attention from medics, and after taking around 15 minutes to recover, he returned to the stage to finish up the gig.
Following the incident, the star took to Instagram to give fans an update.
“Thank you for putting up with my dumb ass. Whenever we do the acoustic part of the show, the guitars on the guitar stand, and it goes down, and there’s this big as hole so I go around there and turn the corner and bust my as,” he explained. “Winded me pretty good, got me pretty good. We just got back from the hospital. Everything’s good, they gave me some pain meds and everything. We can keep kicking as on the tour.
“I just want to apologize to everyone in St. Louis, and I want to say thank you guys so much for coming to the show,” the 27-year-old continued. “Next time I’m around this way, we’re gonna do a two-hour show for you, so we can make up for the couple of songs we missed. Thank you guys for your support and love, and thanks for hanging around even though I got my a*s kicked by myself. I love you guys so much.”
Post is next scheduled to play at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, on Sunday.
So, let’s just put this out here. You don’t want to play with Maino. He is just that dude.
Blueface is kind of that dude too. I recently knocked out the father of Chrisean, his girlfriend. The earliest reports were that pops was doing something honorable and the gang banger hit him, but that wasn’t the case. Pops swung and hit the rapper. Blueface’s knee actually buckled momentarily and then what happened, happened. Pops got dropped! That’s old news.
So, here’s the other part of all of this. When that fight happened, Blueface and Chrisean were shooting a TV series. I thought that it may have been fake, but it was real. And this situation with Maino was real too. Here’s what happened.
There was a fashion show and Blueface and Chrisean were the stars of the show a few days ago. Seemed pretty cool. Check it out.
Now, you may have noticed at the end, Maino got up as they walked the “runway” and dapped up his rap buddy. It seemed like all love, but I think this caused some kind of problem. They were shooting for the TV show. One person, “I’m getting weak at Maino stopping the whole show to say hello.”
Apparently, Maino had a few too many drinks and imposed his will on the whole show. Natalie Nunn was apparently running the fashion show. She let Maino have it.
“THIS WAS MY EVENT ‘ZEUS NETWORK MYSELF AND THE BADDIES PLUS CHRISEAN AND BLUE’ this was our fashion show …. HE WAS DISRESPECTFUL ON THE MIC TALKING RECKLESS. Basically looking like a bitter b!t!h mad! Who grabs the mic and first thing they say is ( I don’t care how much money zeus got f them) BABY IF U NEED A JOB JUST SAY THAT!,” Nunn said! She kept going off! “But what we not gonna do is disrespect females OR ME! LOOK AT THIS GUY CLOUT CHASIN I NEVER SEEN HIM ON NO BLOG BEFORE CLOUT CHASIN AT ITS FINEST YOU RUINED DANIELS FASHION SHOW! All because this female wanted some attention just like a girl crying for some attention!”
Tyler Perry has emphasized the need for training and mentorship while also celebrating the new era of diversity in Hollywood.
The actor/ filmmaker was talking ahead of the premiere of his new movie, “A Jazzman’s Blues,” at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Family drama “A Jazzman’s Blues,” which was also written and produced by Perry, sees the usually comedic star – well known for his slapstick Madea franchise – venture in a new direction. The movie tells the story of forbidden love, family drama, and decades of secrets that begin to unravel.
Talking about the positive way the movie industry is changing in terms of diversity, the 52-year-old also expressed some concerns he has with The Hollywood Reporter.
“I am extremely excited for what has happened,” he beamed. “The diversity, the choices, the opportunities. But I worry because there is such a push for diversity and push for hiring people of color that I have found, in situations, that there are people (who) can be pushed into seats they are not ready for.
“I don’t want to have us as Black people in seats that we weren’t ready for and then have people that are not Black that were moved out of those seats that say, ‘Look what an awful job they’re doing.’ It’s my hope that in all of this push for diversity that we are also providing the time and the training to make sure that we can do a great job.”
“A Jazzman’s Blues” is set to be released via Netflix on September 23rd.
A follow-up film had always been in the pipeline, and Chadwick had reprised the role in the “Avengers” films.
But when the cast, including Winston, Letitia Wright, and Lupita Nyong’o, as well as the crew, assembled to start production, there was a tangible sadness felt by them all.
“There was a lot of melancholy,” he told Collider. “In one way, it was very joyous to be back with people you love and care about and who are open to just play and experiment and create. And then, it was really sad, not having our guy and our friend, who was someone we looked up to, and was someone who expressed that they looked up to you. It was just really sad not to have that someone we knew as a person, and not just this artifice on a screen. He was a real person, and we really missed him.
“It was something that we dealt with, every day, and something that we got to understand, every day, that we’re not the only people grieving. Not only the people who are in front of camera are grieving, it’s everybody. So, it was a lot of melancholy.”
Instead of hiring an actor to replace him, Chadwick’s death was written into the sequel’s plot.
Ryan Coogler is back in the director’s seat, and Angela Bassett, Danai Gurira, and Martin Freeman are reprising their roles for the film, which hits cinemas in November.
August Alsina just went out there and said it. The singer, know for being a side nixxa for a well-known actress, is now in an entanglement of a different sort. He was reportedly punched by another singer Tory Lanez. The Canadian is also known as the dude that allegedly put a hot one in Megan Thee Stallion’s foot.
This time, August claims he was attacked at a concert last night and gave the details in vivid form on social media. Check out his account.
As I’m exiting the building after the show last night, A 4’11 sized leprechaun ran down on me w/ 8 oversized security nigxas, whom I greeted each individually upon their walk up as they tried to press me. Whole time, I’m one deep. No security. Tory continues to ask w/ a broken ego why I didn’t dap him up, I go on to tell him.. I was a fan of him and didn’t understand him speaking on my business publicly In the past, because I don’t know him or ever met him until last night. So when he spoke it caught me off guard because of his past actions, i assumed he didn’t like me, that’s all. Not to mention, with my history of health & condition just recently overcoming being paralyzed, my doctor directed me not to compromise my health while out on road and shake as less hands as possible due to corona, & monkeypox.
Never any disrespectful words were exchanged, so i was a bit confused at how somehow he turnt him self up w/ anger after hitting a blunt laced with cocaine obviously, (i heard the fizzle) and he snuck me when I turned my head to move to the side amongst all his antsy moving and to keep an eye on the endless n##### that was w/ him surrounding me.
Which was security and some nigxa with a gun tucked… whom he then proceeded to run behind and hide to run back in the building. There was never a “fight”! Simply an Assault. Dude has no real friends, and is on a crash out mission. With that said, I was gone keep it G & not come to the net, but you moving with foul intent feeding falsities to blogs to look for a “moment” c## them moments ain’t happening on stage for u. I will assist you in that, gracefully. His ppl got the whole thing on camera, PUT. THE. FOOTAGE. OUT!! I’d like to see it 🙂 anyway, leme go clean this blood off my face w/ some @encinawellness
Now, Tory has stated on his own account that he was in the studio and does not know what people are talking about. 👀
I hope he knows that won’t hold up in court if AA decides to take the stand. Also, I am thinking this could hurt TL in his case with Meg. Anyway!
Look at the alleged after affects of the alleged sucker punch.

Not sure why he took the picture like that, but it looks crazy. That’s a strong leprechaun, B.
So, why?
The beef apparently stems from some “shots” Tory took at August over the entanglement with Jada Pinkett Smith a few years go. August probably gave him a frosty vibe and Tory wanted some love from his boy. Anyway, I hope people learn to grown tf up.
Babyface has weighed in on the debate over who should be crowned the King of R&B.
In an interview with Bevy Smith, host of SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, earlier this week, the legendary music producer was asked for his thoughts on the artist that deserved the title the most.
“It’s interesting. When you say king, what makes you king? Is it how many hits that you have or is it how many people you touch?” he asked. “You know, how many people that you give that feeling to where when they think of home, they think of R&B, and that you take them and you make them feel good. R&B’s a really hard one to figure out like a king of, even when we picked the King of Pop. And when Michael (Jackson) picked the King of Pop… it was overwhelming with the hits that he had and the songs that he had.”
Babyface, real name Kenneth Edmonds, went on to note that Usher and Chris Brown were probably in contention, though he indicated R. Kelly would have had a chance at the height of his music career, prior to his scandalous personal life and conviction on racketeering and sex offender charges.
And while he has a “connection” with Usher as a result of their work together, he refused to offer a final answer on the topic.
“It’s really hard to say because today the audiences are so different from each other, it’s not like everybody is on the same page as they were with Michael Jackson back in the day. So, it’s a little harder,” the 63-year-old continued. “I will not name a king. I will not call one, because I love all the artists and if I was gonna lean, I would obviously lean towards Usher because, you know, it’s connection. But it’s unfair for me to just do that.”
A plastic surgeon, who specializes in penis enhancement, posted a picture of 50 Cent on her social media, leading some people to think the rapper might not have had “the magic stick” after all.
50 is now suing the woman, whose name is Angela Kogan, according to TMZ, for misrepresenting the nature of the picture.
The “Wanksta” rapper said he took the picture with Dr. Kogan back in February 2020 because he was under the impression, she was a fan of his work. Now it seems like the Kim Kardashian look-alike has used the star’s face to get some free promo for the procedure.
In one post on her personal page, she captioned: “Thank you @50cent for stopping by the number one med spa @bh_perfection_medspa.”

She shared the same caption on the company’s corporate social media.
Because of the picture, 50 Cent whose real name is Curtis Jackson, says he keeps getting linked to articles about the procedure.

Even in responses to some of the questions that asked about the artist’s getting surgery – no one at the company denied it. Instead, they used laughing emojis and smiley-kissy faces.

By not shutting it down and encouraging it, the lawsuit alleges the artist has been exposed to ridicule, both his professional and personal reputation has been damaged and his right to control his name and image has been violated.
The lawsuit asked for the company to stop using the image and to pay him for his woes.
Rapper Tee Grizzley, once known as a burglar, has been robbed of over $1 million worth of jewelry. The crooks went into his home, almost two weeks ago, burglarizing his safe space.
Reports say no one was at the Porter Ranch (San Fernando Valley) home during the crime. However, the thieves according to TMZ, gained access to the house by smashing a window.
More ironic than his history with breaking and entering, is the timing of his new project, the fourth part in the “Robbery” series.
The Detroit native took to social media to share the news with his followers, tweeting, “ROBBERY 1 is finally on streaming so go run that up I know y’all been waiting for Part 4 so stay tuned cuz that’s coming REAL soon and it’s only the first CHAPTER OF THE TRENCHES by Tee Grizzley 📕✍🏾🐻”

The State of Georgia wants Young Thug to forfeit property seized during his arrest in May.
According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, a complaint for forfeiture was filed over items seized from Young Thug and Lil Duke. The two were among the 28 people indicted in a sweeping RICO case against YSL members.
Authorities seized $149,426.00 in U.S. currency. Officers snatched firearms and several vehicles, including a Corvette and a Porsche.
Cops took 87 pieces of jewelry. The accessories included an 18k Gold Patek Philippe and a Rolex with “King Slime” engraved on the back, among other watches.
Multiple pendants, bracelets, necklaces, rings and earrings were seized. Many of the items had custom engravings, such as “YSL X BC 4 LIFE.” Cops also grabbed clothing from Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Williams.
“Officers located and seized from inside the kitchen of Mr. Williams’ 355 Allison Drive residence a green hooded sweatshirt on which there was printed the phrase ‘SLIME OVER S#### Make America Slime Again,'” the court documents disclosed.
Rafaello & Company claimed to own some of the jewelry seized by cops. The owner said nine pieces were loaned to Young Thug.
Young Thug denied Rafaello & Company had any “lawful interest” in the seized property. Officials could only identify four items that possibly belonged to the jeweler.
“Of the 9 jewelry pieces which Rafaello & Company Inc. asserts to own and to have lent to Mr. Williams, only 4 pieces resemble any of the pieces of jewelry seized on May 9, 2022,” authorities declared. “The other 5 pieces of jewelry do not resemble any of the pieces of jewelry seized on May 9, 2022.”
Young Thug’s lawyer Brian Steel responded to the complaint for forfeiture by contending the property was unlawfully seized.
“Forfeiture of the seized property is barred by the prohibition against excessive fines set forth in the Eighth Amendment to the United States Constitution,” Steel argued.
The attorney added, “[Young Thug] is the lawful owner of the seized property. Claimant obtained the seized property through legitimate transactions whereby the property was either purchased in lawful arms length transactions and the money used to purchase said seized property was lawfully earned through legitimate employment; or the items were gifted to Claimant by persons who have untainted funds.”
Steel asked for the complaint for forfeiture to be dismissed. He requested a monetary award to cover attorney’s fees and expenses.
“I agree with not supporting Woman King just because you see your skin tone attached to it. But stop saying the Dahomey sold ‘us’ into ‘Slavery.’ Thats still continuing that narrative, the greatest lie ever told that “we all came from Africa”. Boycott that lie too”

However, others are saying this is a swift rush to judgment and a mischaracterization of the movie, and an attempt to dismiss the work of a project that is predominately produced, directed and starring Black women.
“Now that it’s out, I can say this: The people telling you to boycott The Woman King, for the reasons they’re stating, sound crazy because the film literally deals with the reasons they’re stating.”

“Sorry but it’s suspicious af to me to see people saying boycott The Woman King because the Oya Empire & Kingdom of Dahomey were involved in the slave trade when similar critiques of Our Flag Means Death and Hamilton have been challenged or ignored all together.”

The call for the boycott did not stop millions from flooding movie theaters to the tune of an early debut weekend box office reading of $19 million. According to Deadline, the film pulled in on Friday, including $1.7M previews, $6.8M, and Saturday pulled in $7.15M. Experts believe those numbers were so high was because of word of mouth.
It is also because movie critics, specifically Black and African critics, have given the movie thumbs up.
