J.T. Hiskey And Afroman Release New Song For An Important Cause

John Taylor Hiskey, better known as J.T. Hiskey, is a musician who found success after his own appearance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, back on May 1st, 2018. Ever since Hiskey has been using his platform to help contribute to a positive change for our current society, and the world we are currently living in. Currently still residing in his own home state of Utah, he does not plan on stopping anytime soon.

Hiskey helped begin a program many years ago titled Flip The Script, with Salt Lake City council member Charlie Luke, a program to help spread awareness for bullying within high schools and grades younger than that. Hiskey also helped raise money for the movement back in 2020 for diversity, and now he is currently working on raising money for Suicide Prevention, by collecting and donating all the proceeds from his newest song titled “Beverly Hillz” which also features 90’s hip-hop legend Afroman.

We spoke with J.T. Hiskey on why he wants to do this, and how this all came about in the first place.

“Back in 2014, I was only a junior in high school, when I lost one of my closest friends due to suicide. It was one the hardest and worst days of my life.” Hiskey began to tell us. “Devin was his name. He made the biggest, positive impact not only on my life but on anyone he surrounded himself with. He was the most talented, and kind giving human anyone could have known. I still think about him every single day.”

Now, recently releasing a collaboration titled “Beverly Hillz’ with 90’s rapper Afroman, Hiskey wants to make sure all the proceeds are going back to the right cause.

“Devin was a talented musician. He and I always talked about doing a song together, and we never got around to doing it. After doing shows with Afroman again this year, and when he and I made this song together, I knew that I wanted to raise money for this specific cause because Devin would have been so happy about the song coming together. I always wanted to give back to this cause and try to help spread awareness. I had a special show I was going to plan out right before the pandemic hit, to raise money for suicide prevention and awareness, because it is such a serious topic that has affected so many lives.”

That statement is true. Within 2022, the rates of suicides have gone up by 36%, which is one of the highest rates it has ever been.

“This is not about me or Afroman, it is about raising money for the right purpose. I am glad that Afroman and I were able to create this song, but I want all the proceeds to go to this cause” Hiskey added. “I also want anyone who is struggling with this, to know that you are never alone. I still struggle with losing my friend, and it is hard. Please don’t ever forget that you are loved.”

With Beverly Hillz now available on every streaming platform, every single cent will be going to a suicide prevention organization. This includes all iTunes purchases, streams, and even air-play. You can find this song by searching J.T. Hiskey on any of these listed platforms, or by searching the name “Beverly Hillz” with Afroman and J.T. Hiskey.

“Please be kind to each other and be there for others. Thank you so much.”

Akon Explains His TikTok EP And Why He’s Smiling So Big These Days

Akon has been a busy man.The legendary hitmaker Akon now returns to his roots – music. However he ‘s doing things differently than he did when he made his splash debut nearly two decades ago.

Akon has been no stranger to innovation but now he’s taking his risk-taking and maverick ways to new levels. First of all, his new EP is being released with the TikTok app generation in mind. “A lot of my old music has trended on the app so I decided why not just do an album just for it,” he explains in this exclusive interview.

Beyond the new vibes, he has been plotting Akon City in Africa and his own cryptocurrency, Akoin. He talks about his current relationship with former artists T-Pain and Lady Gaga after, his fresh new single and his plans to continue bridging the gap with other genres worldwide. Check it out.

On his new single “Enjoy That”

Yeah. The new single is called “Enjoy That.” This is where I’m at today. I just wanted to just have fun with it, man. Yeah, music is at a level now, it’s like my legacy’s sealed. Investments are intact. Philanthropy is moving the way it needs to move. Now I don’t have to spend too much time outside of music, so now everything is kind of turnkey. I wanted to come back into the business, just have fun with it.

Why he did an album just for TikTok

My catalog has been just killing TikTok, man, the last year all throughout the pandemic. It’s been just crazy and it gave me the idea. I was like, man, you know what? Now that I got the younger generation’s ears and feet, let me put out an EP, but just specifically for the TikTok platform. I reached out to TikTok. I did the album first. I did the EP first, then I went to TikTok with it, went to the main headquarters, played it for them and gave them the concept of what I wanted to do. Man, they went crazy. Like, “Oh this will be amazing,” so the idea is to put out a TikTok EP specifically for TikTok, and as it blows up on the platform, we’re going to break it out to the rest of the world.

Why TikTok is just another “platform” and not an evil in music.

This is the thing. A hit record is a hit record. TikTok is just a platform that helps to propel great songs. In this particular thing, I’m a writer producer, so I always find ways to tailor-make things. Me understanding and studying the TikTok platform, I know exactly the kind of music that actually works on the platform, so I tailor-made these records specifically for TikTok.

How he has morphed Konvict Music into Konvict Kulture in 2022.

We’re rebranding Konvict Music now to Konvict Kulture, because we realize that Konvict globally, if you don’t really travel outside of America, you wouldn’t understand how big Konvict is. I was shocked. It’s so much way bigger than me that … It’s to the point where I was like, man, this is a movement. This is a culture for real. Ultimately, and then Konvict spread it outside of hip hop and went into pop music, went into Afrobeat, went into reggae, went into Reggaeton. If you know all these artists from the Latin world all the way down, you name it, all extensions from the Konvict Music Family.

Why he continues to smile and be happy as much as he can.

The most humble people are the ones that went through the craziest s###. The n##### I know that is real killers, bro, most of them are preachers today. These are preachers bro. They want to be so far away from that as possible, but at the same time, it also shows that you appreciate the life that God has given us. We’ve been in a … My story could have turned around for the worst. It was a decision, one split decision that I decided to make to change my life, but had I decided to live in the same path, I probably wouldn’t be talking to you today.

That’s why I’m always happy. I smile in every single picture. You ain’t going to find a picture without me not smiling, because I’m happy to just be here.

Finesse2Tymes Signs With J. Prince’s MobTies And Atlantic Records

This is not a rumor, but the news be taking all my content. So,I am taking this one.

Finesse2Tymes, the man with the hanging KKK members chain, has signed a deal with Atlantic Records. Now, this deal is in partnership with Atlantic Records. It was a bit odd watching him go from AllHipHop’s IG with a pair of iced out hand cuffs to this deal.

There’s not a lot more to this other than to say that Atlantic has another rapper on the roster. This celebration really underscores how excited they are about this though. Everybody is in this damn video! Check it out!

Steve Lacy Scores His First No. 1 On The Hot 100 With “Bad Habit”

Steve Lacy was finally able to dethrone Harry Styles’s “As It Was” from the pinnacle of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. “Bad Habit” is now the most popular song in America.

After spending four consecutive weeks at No. 2, Steve Lacy’s “Bad Habit” ascended to the top of this week’s Hot 100. The self-produced single racked up an additional 20.4 million streams during the tracking period.

“Bad Habit” is the first Steve Lacy song to reach the Hot 100’s No. 1 spot. The track started its chart journey by debuting at #100 in July before rising up the Billboard ranks.

“Damn I ain’t even have to change [for real]. 😂😂 We #1 babyyyyy. July 11th was my first entry at 100 and today, Oct 3rd, my first entry at #1. Wow oh wow. I feel heavy gratitude all over my body. [You] know how the story goessss and how it’s goin. iPhone boy to superstar 🤷🏾‍♂️,” posted Lacy on Instagram.

Steve Lacy reportedly first started producing beats on his iPhone as a teenager. He also played guitar for The Internet. That R&B band was closely associated with the Hip Hop collective known as Odd Future.

“Bad Habit” lives on Steve Lacy’s sophomore studio LP, Gemini Rights. That album also hosts a track titled “Static.” The latest Hot 100 chart features “Static” climbing four rungs to #78. Lacy also holds the #79 position with “Dark Red” from 2017.

Elsewhere on this week’s Hot 100, GloRilla earned the first Top 10 entry of her career. The Cardi B-assisted “Tomorrow 2” collaboration opened at #9. Cardi has now earned eleven career Top 10 songs, and she has charted in the Top 10 region every year since 2017.

Kanye West Responds To Backlash Over “White Lives Matter” Shirt

Kanye West once famously declared that then-President George W. Bush does not care about Black people. This week, many social media users declared the same opinion about West.

A Yeezy Season 9 fashion show in Paris became headline news after Kanye West decided to wear a “White Lives Matter” shirt. Controversial right-wing commentator Candace Owens also wore a matching top at the event.

Some people believe the “White Lives Matter” phrase is a dog whistle for white supremacists. Additionally, critics claim the purpose of using “White Lives Matter” is to dismiss the Black Lives Matter movement for racial justice. Apparently, Kanye West has embraced that line of thinking.

West took to his Instagram Story on Tuesday to offer a response to the backlash he has received online. The billionaire entertainer/entrepreneur fired a direct shot at BLM in defense of his “White Lives Matter” outfit.

“Everyone knows that Black Lives Matter was a scam. Now it’s over. You’re welcome,” wrote Kanye West. The 45-year-old Donda album creator was likely referring to the reports about leaders of the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation allegedly stealing $10 million from donors.

However, the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation is not the same as the Black Lives Matter social movement. Many BLM supporters have generally worked as decentralized political activists with no association with the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation or other organizations.

Kanye West Repeatedly Faces Accusations Of Emboldening White Supremacists

This is not the first time observers accused Kanye West of tacitly backing white supremacist and white nationalist ideology. He was one of the most outspoken supporters of Donald Trump and his Make America Great Again movement.

Donald Trump’s political opponents claim the twice-impeached president regularly uses dog whistles to energize racist elements of his base. For example, Trump told the far-right, neo-fascist Proud Boys to “stand back and stand by” during a 2020 presidential debate.

Kanye West has gone back and forth with his approval of Trump and the white nationalist groups associated with the former President of the United States. The Chicago-raised rap star proudly wore a MAGA hat for years and expressed his “love” for Trump during a 2018 meeting in the White House.

In 2020, Kanye West expressed his disappointment that Trump reportedly “hid in the bunker” during a Black Lives Matter protest in DC. However, news reports also claimed that West’s own failed bid to win the U.S. presidency in 2020 received significant support from Trump-backed Republicans.

Additionally, West faced substantial pushback in 2018 after stating that American chattel slavery was a choice made by enslaved Africans. Ye’s slavery rant on TMZ garnered praise from people in Alt-Right circles. The Alt-Right is widely considered part of the extreme movement of white supremacists/white nationalists.

Constant Kanye West detractor Marc Lamont Hill criticized Ye on Twitter. The Temple University professor tweeted, “Kanye [West’s] decision to wear a ‘White Lives Matter’ shirt is disgusting, dangerous, and irresponsible. Some of y’all will rush to defend him. You should ask yourselves why…”

The Game Names His Top 5 Albums By Los Angeles Rappers

Love him or hate him, The Game is one of the most successful recording artists to emerge from the Los Angeles rap scene. His discography includes multiple chart-topping projects.

The Game recently sat down with Fresh Pair. During the conversation, the hosts asked the 42-year-old emcee to name his Top 5 Los Angeles-based rap albums of all time.

“Number one, The Chronic, for me,” answered The Game. “Just because in order of appearance is important to me, because everyone is motivated by things that happened before them.”

Dr. Dre released The Chronic in 1992. That album is widely considered a Hip Hop classic and helped introduce international star, Snoop Dogg. The Game also mentioned an album by Dre’s famous protégé.

“I have to go with Doggystyle after that. I feel like The Chronic was low-key Snoop’s first album too,” said The Game. “After that, it would have to be The Documentary just because of what that album did.”

The Game’s The Documentary came out in 2005. That debut studio LP hosted the Top 5 hits “How We Do” and “Hate It Or Love It” which both featured 50 Cent.

“At number 4, for me, it would have to be Good Kid, M.A.A.D City, because I watched Kendrick [Lamar] and his essence going from literally a good kid in a mad city,” explained The Game.

For his final pick, The Game stated, “Then at 5, I feel inclined to say Death Certificate just because of what that was to me.” Ice Cube’s second studio album arrived in record stores in 1991.

The Game dropped his tenth album, Drillmatic – Heart vs. Mind, on August 12 of this year. Drillmatic included features by Ice-T, Kanye West, YG, Roddy Ricch, Pusha T, 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, Cam’ron, Nipsey Hussle, and many more acts.

Jaden Smith Reacts To Kanye West Wearing A “White Lives Matter” Shirt

Kanye “Ye” West’s name became Twitter’s #1 trending topic on Monday. The rapper-turned-designer sparked a lot of negative reactions, including a critical response from Jaden Smith, after Ye was seen wearing a controversial outfit.

While debuting his Yeezy Season 9 collection at Paris Fashion Week, Kanye West decided to show up to the event wearing a long-sleeved shirt with the words “White Lives Matter” on the back.

Additionally, a photograph of Ye with right-wing commentator Candace Owens spread across the internet. Owens, the woman who infamously declared white supremacy ideology is not a serious issue in America, was also wearing a matching “White Lives Matter” shirt.

Many social media users blasted Kanye West for what they saw as perpetuating white nationalism again. West faced those same accusations in 2018 when he suggested that Black people chose to be slaves in the United States.

Jaden Smith Lets The World Know He Does Not Support Ye’s Latest Stunt

Rapper/actor Jaden Smith was one of the people to call out Ye for his latest racially sensitive antics. According to unconfirmed reports, Smith was in attendance at the Yeezy fashion show.

Around 1:35 ET, Jaden Smith began sharing his thoughts on the “White Lives Matter” fiasco. The 24-year-old “Icon” performer took to Twitter to make it clear he does not stand with West on his latest social commentary.

“I Had To Dip Lol… True Leaders Lead… I Don’t Care Who’s It Is If I Don’t Feel The Message I’m Out… Black Lives Matter… We Demand A More Progressive Future,” tweeted Jaden Smith.

Previously, Jaden expressed his support for Kanye West. The son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith named Ye as one of his musical inspirations. He even attended West and Kim Kardashian’s 2014 wedding in Italy.

Louisiana-bred rapper Boosie Badazz and media personality Van Lathan slammed Kanye West for his “White Lives Matter” outfit as well. Lanthan was also the person who called out Ye to his face over the “slavery is a choice” comments.

Cardi B & JT Reportedly Squash Their Beef

Another week, another beef for Cardi B. After clashing with Akbar V on social media last month, Cardi got into a Twitter conflict with City Girls member JT yesterday.

The heated back-and-forth started after news broke that GloRilla and Cardi B’s “Tomorrow 2” debuted at #9 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. Some Twitter users then began dragging JT and other women featured on Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl (Queen Mix)” because that remix did not make it into the Top 10.

As a result, Cardi and JT dissed each other on Twitter throughout the evening. Accusations of ghostwriters, shots about chart positions, and allegations of Nicki Minaj fueling the flames played out in front of the world.

Hollywood Unlocked founder Jason Lee shared his thoughts on the Cardi B versus JT feud. According to the celebrity blogger, both rappers have apparently settled their differences behind the scenes.

“Let me be clear. I love City Girls and Cardi. I’m on the phone tomorrow to get them on the same page cause we need both of them. We not letting an old lady get in the way,” posted Jason Lee.

The former Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood cast member also tweeted, “I respect these girls. I want this fixed ASAP. [They’re] all dope. We need to fix this.”

A few minutes later, Lee added, “I can either use my platform to make the girls fight or fix it. Ima always try to bring people together. Cardi be minding her business and then the funny s### be happening. I’m not gonna let a misunderstanding get outta hand. [Hip Hop is] bigger than this petty s###.”

Nearly an hour after midnight on the East Coast, Lee returned to Twitter. He wrote, “Talked to BIG BARDI. It’s squashed and they talked it out that’s what I like to see… I hate seeing all these female rappers fighting [with] each other. Both have respect for each other. Hip Hop [is] bigger than this! Yassssssss.”

In addition, Jason Lee told his Twitter followers that he had a conversation with JT. The Gagging host ended the night by tweeting, “Talking to @thegirljt. We [are] good. I’m going to bed.”

Jay-Z Invests $16.5 Million In Robot Pizza Food Truck

Jay-Z has his fingers in many different pies, and his latest venture sees him investing in pies of the pizza variety but made by a robot.

Stellar Pizza hopes its automated, robotic pizza truck will become the future of pizza delivery. The startup announced on Monday (Oct. 3) that Marcy Venture Partners, Jay-Z’s venture capital firm, invested $16.5 million.

The former SpaceX engineer founders, Benson Tsai, Brian Langone, and James Wahawisan, along with 20 other fellow SpaceX employees, bring together a combined 100 years of rocket science experience to the venture.

The robot food truck can create a fresh pizza from scratch with selected toppings in under five minutes. Customers order the gourmet pies via an app, and the machine prepares, bakes, boxes, and cuts the pizza. A launch is slated at the University of California this Fall. Check out the process in the video below.

“What we’re trying to do is very hard,” said Tsai as per TECHEBLOG. “I needed to recruit the best and the brightest to develop a mobile pizza machine that is basically a spaceship on wheels. I can’t even count the number of pizzas I’ve eaten.”

Native New Yorker Jay-Z takes his pizza seriously, as he revealed during a 2015 interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live. His favorite New York slice comes from Lucali, a pizzeria in Brooklyn.

When asked to explain his wife Beyoncé‘s unconventional pizza topping preference of extra tomato sauce and jalapeños, Hov avoided the question. “She’s from Houston, first of all,” Jay-Z explained while laughing. “They don’t have pizza there. That explains everything.”

Quavo & Takeoff On Migos Split Rumors: “We Want To See Our Career As A Duo”

Rumors of a Migos split have swirled online for months, but the group has kept relatively silent on the matter, fuelling the speculation.

Quavo and Takeoff had a collaborative album due later this month and have been dropping music as a duo. In a new interview, the pair confirm that they like it better that way, for now at least.

Quavo and Takeoff, a.k.a. Unc & Phew, opened up about the status of the group during a visit to the Big Facts Podcast. Host DJ Scream asked them to address the Migos split rumors.

“Speaking of just family, will there be more Migos? Will there be a ‘Culture IV?’ or more music with Set? What is that space?” he asked. “I just feel like we want to see our career as a duo,” Quavo replied. “Because, you know, we just came from a loyal family.”

He added, “you’re supposed to stick together, but sometimes s### don’t work out.” Then, Takeoff interjected, saying while they don’t know all the answers, God does. “We pray a lot,” he continued. “Only time will tell. We’re always family ain’t nothing gone change.”

Additionally, Quavo explained their issues are beyond their label Quality Control and solely between “the three brothers.” Watch the clip below.

Whispers of a Migos split began when fans noticed Offset stopped following Quavo and Takeoff on Instagram. Though Migos reps denied the rumors, speculation continued when the new duo announced their debut single, “Hotel Lobby” as Unc and Phew.

Offset had a recent public falling out with Quality Control CEO Pierre “P” Thomas and has been dropping music as a solo act

Van Lathan Calls Out Kanye West Over ‘White Lives Matter’ Shirt: ‘It’s A White Supremacist Notion’

Kanye West has drawn widespread condemnation from critics of his decision to wear a “White Lives Matter” shirt during his YZY Paris Fashion Week show.

The Yeezy founder also dressed controversial far right-wing commentator Candace Owens – a vocal critic of the Black Lives Matter movement – in the same design. Complex reports several models also wore designs that featured the slogan on the YZY runway.

The “White Lives Matter” phrase has been used an appropriation of the “Black Lives Matter: slogan. It is used by supremacists such as the KKK and the Aryan Renaissance Society, and is categorized by the Anti-Defamation League as a hate slogan.

Reactions To Kanye West’s “White Lives Matter” Design

Once photos of the show emerged, folks were quick to share their opinions online.

Van Lathan, who went viral in 2018 for calling out Kanye West in the offices of TMZ over his “slavery was a choice” comments, shared an image of Ye in the shirt. Though his caption was a scant “Y’all,” he gave his take in the comments section.

A post shared by Van Lathan Jr (@vanlathan)

When asked, “do white lives not matter?” Lathan responded, saying, “We don’t need a reminder of the worth of white lives. America is a shrine to the worth of white people. This message is reactionary to a message affirming Black lives, which have never been worth anything in America.”

He continued adding the phrase, “In its intent, it’s a white supremacist notion,” and Kanye is “apparently centering that notion.”

“The notion that it always has to be about white people in America is incredibly frustrating, emotionally draining,” he said. Read his remarks in full below.

Meanwhile, Jaden Smith was apparently at the show and tweeted that he could not stay and support Kanye West.

“I can’t stand behind what Kanye’s saying, he does not have the full support of the youth,” he wrote. “Black Lives Matter. I don’t care who it is if I don’t feel the message I’m out.” He later deleted the tweet but added, “I had to dip lol,” and “Black Lives Matter.”

Nicki Minaj Changes Twitter Avi To JT, Cardi B Switches Hers To Remy Ma Amid Day Of Twitter Beef

Nicki Minaj has entered the beef that erupted between Cardi B and JT on Twitter on Monday (Sept. 4).

While tensions between the ladies of rap have been simmering for weeks, with insults and subtweets fired off from multiple parties, Nicki and Cardi have not come for each other directly.

However, when the “Do We Have A Problem” rapper changed her Twitter avi to a photo of JT of Monday evening, following hours of back and forth between Belcalis and the City Girl, Nicki intentionally inserted herself into the beef.

Did Nicki Minaj Fire Another Shot At Cardi B?

Nicki Minaj eventually replaced the photo with one of her name written in neon lights with a pen in place of the first letter “I.” Some fans speculated this means Nicki is writing new music, possibly a diss track. Alternative theories suggested it could be a subliminal dig, suggesting that while she pens her own lyrics, others, including Cardi, are accused of using ghostwriters.

https://twitter.com/marajrealm/status/1577095702249103360?s=20&t=-4JeO_lJy3g8kul8pbZUTQ

After Nicki changed her avi to JT, Cardi B seemingly responded with a profile pic update of her own. She replaced her avi with a pic of Remy Ma, with whom Nicki has a longstanding rivalry.

While Nicki Minaj and Cardi B have their own historic feud, the profile pic changes came after a day of Twitter beefing between the “Hot S###” hitmaker and City Girl JT.

Tensions between the women began innocuously enough when JT congratulated GloRilla on the success of the “Tomorrow 2” single, However, she didn’t include her former collaborator in the tweet, which Cardi B took as a sub.

The pair then went back and forth over multiple tweets, with Cardi calling JT a “lapdog” and JT responding with “wiener dog.”

Read the report from AllHopHop.com – “All Hell Breaks Loose Between Cardi B & JT On Twitter,” to catch up on all the antics.

All Hell Breaks Loose Between Cardi B & JT On Twitter

Cardi B and JT unexpectedly started beefing on Monday (October 3).

The feud began over an alleged snub on Twitter. JT congratulated GloRilla on the success of the “Tomorrow 2” single but left Cardi B’s name out of the post.

Cardi B took offense and subtweeted the City Girls member.

“Lapdog,” she wrote. “Go fetch.”

JT fired back, “Cardi you go fetch a real talent! We DM’ing why you come back here to put on a show for these KIDS?”

The City Girls member denied being an instigator and blamed fan pages for causing trouble. But Cardi B was unconvinced.

“So wait, me and you talking in the DM woman to woman, but YOU take it to your timeline and throw shots calling me a bully and a wiener,” she wrote. “Why you playing dumb? And YOU talking about a talent?! haaaaa! You forgot P tried to put me on wit your writer?”

JT responded, “That was BEFORE you replied!!!! & said you was talking about ME! So tell the world why you said I’m a lap dog cardi! No you wanted our written!!! For our hooks for our sound cause you clearly have none! Ask ANY writer! I write my OWN s###!!! You know this.”

Cardi B claimed she was stopping the back-and-forth in public, but the two women kept clashing on Twitter.

“I definitely didn’t,” she wrote, comparing her City Girls collab “Twerk” to the duo’s other songs. “P wanted to put me in to your writers cause yall numbers make him penies ……My talent speaks for it self tho.”

JT replied, “Cardi please I’m not impressed I don’t care I’m not bout to beef with you about YouTube girl is crazy? I’m a street b#### YouTube ain’t got me on no leash hoe, move.”

The rappers were apparently having a private conversation too, but the miscommunication didn’t stop.

“Didn’t I hit you back in the DM 20 minutes ago but I gotta come on the timeline for a response?” Cardi B asked. “And you’re mute but steady arguing here. Like I said, this s### is for show. OPPORTUNISTS.”

JT wrote, “Maybe both our timing off, but how am I an opportunist you called me a lapdog for no f###### reason make since! But back to the dm’s I go.”

The bickering continued with Cardi B declaring, “If the shoe fits that’s your fault.” JT also circled back to an earlier post amid all the insults.

“Wait I’m back for this last tweet cause who doing anything for doggy treats??” she asked. “If anything glorilla have you a BONE that you need to go feed to that dog you was posing by the pool with for hot s###! Fancy pants.”

Cardi B countered, “Hot s### debuted higher than any song you ever dropped or been on, prison pants. Everybody has good and bad moments but you haven’t had one since what? ACT UP?”

The discussion of hits apparently struck a nerve with JT. She stopped the disses and reflected on her career.

“The industry not even designed for girls like me to really win!” JT wrote. “Let’s be real all this s### is politics!!! Pee always told us get that s### out the MUD grind hard I lay down because I get discouraged from all these labels paying for every mother f###### thing.”

She concluded, “So don’t talk to me about no charts! NONE OF YALL! I done been in rooms with the top [writers] & told them they s### wack the same [writers] that quick to drag female rappers oh I wrote this & that! This s### actually embarrassing & Sad.”

Russ Illustrates Why DaBaby Isn’t Being Blackballed

Russ doesn’t believe a famous artist like DaBaby can be blackballed.

DaBaby claimed he’s being blackballed based on the underwhelming sales of his Baby on Baby 2 album. Russ explained why he disagreed in a Twitter post on Monday (October 3).

“No artist is ‘blackballed,’” Russ wrote. “Unless they cut off your Wi-Fi, remove your social media accounts and take your music off all the streaming platforms, you are not blackballed.”

He continued, “If you are famous and can still tell your fans ‘hey I’m putting out music’ then you’re not blackballed. Fans will listen to your music or they won’t. It’s that simple. Also if you are a famous artist and you NEED playlists in order for people to listen to your music, how real are your fans? Why don’t they support you regardless?”

Russ didn’t mention DaBaby by name. The independent rapper downplayed playlists while championing the importance of a loyal fan base.

“We’re giving too much credit and power to the DSPs and not enough power to us (the artists) and the fans,” Russ wrote. “I know for me, as long as I can tell my fans I’m puttin out music, I’m straight. I’m not entitled to any playlists nor do I NEED them for my fans to listen to me. That’s why they’re my….FANS.”

EXCLUSIVE: Read Young Thug’s Questions To Potential Jurors In RICO Case

Young Thug submitted his juror questionnaire in the RICO case against YSL members.

According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Young Thug’s legal team wanted to learn the jury’s views on Hip Hop. Lawyers asked potential jurors about their listening habits and perceptions of rappers.

“Do you associate Hip Hop artists/rappers with criminal behavior or believe they break the law more than average citizens?” attorneys inquired. “Do you believe rap lyrics are usually autobiographical (the songwriter is telling stories about his/her real life)?”

One question read, “Some people believe that artists who perform rap music, including ‘gangsta rap,’ may commit crimes or violent acts to enhance their image or promote their career. What do you think?”

Young Thug’s lawyers asked potential jurors about their experiences with crime. Prospective jury members were questioned if they’d been victims of a crime or arrested in the past.

“Have you known anyone who has been murdered or died as a result of a crime?” one question read.

The questionnaire covered gang activity and tattoos as well.

“Do you have any specialized training or education about criminal street gangs, including how they operate and how people join, are recruited, or are pressured or threatened to join?” Young Thug’s lawyers asked.

Another question read, “Would the fact that a defendant or witness has extensive tattoos, including on the face, cause you to reject or disbelieve that person?”

Young Thug’s legal team also addressed the high-profile nature of their client’s case. Prospective jurors were asked to reveal their opinions on the case and how closely they followed it.

“This case has received some publicity in the media and on social media,” Young Thug’s lawyers wrote. “There is nothing wrong with having read, seen or heard something about the case. However, we need to know what, if anything, you have read, seen or heard.”

Additional questions sought to understand the potential jury’s thoughts on the criminal justice system. They were asked about their opinions of prosecutors, defense attorneys and more.

“Plea bargaining – the prosecution offering individuals charged with crimes favorable treatment or a lower sentence in exchange for information and/or testimony against others — is legal,” Young Thug’s lawyers wrote. “How do you feel about the prosecution offering individuals who participated in crimes, plea agreements in exchange for their testimony in court against the defendants in this case?”

Young Thug was arrested on RICO charges in May. His trial is scheduled to begin in January 2023.

BLACKPINK’s Gets Police To Investigate “Illegal” Distribution Of Jennie’s Photos And Salacious Rumors

BLACKPINK’s agency has asked the police in South Korea to investigate those who leaked band member Jennie’s personal photos online.

YG Entertainment, the K-pop group’s agency, released a statement on Monday revealing that they have enlisted the help of police to find those responsible for leaking private photos that have fuelled speculation Jennie is dating V from BTS.

“The recent mass production of rumors, accusations, personal attacks, sexual harassment, and invasion of privacy sparked by the personal photos have been occurring indiscriminately, so we felt a sense of responsibility, making it difficult for us to overlook this any longer,” they wrote. “YG is taking strong legal action against posts that are tarnishing the character and reputation of our agency’s artist.”

YG reps explained that they had filed a complaint for defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act, violation of the prohibition of illegal information distribution, and obscene use of communication media.

They added, “(The) photos that were circulated online were illegally released, regardless of the intentions behind them, and without the consent of the individual involved.”

YG officials plan on taking “all possible legal action without any leniency to prevent further damage in the future” and asked fans to refrain from sharing the pictures, noting that it is an offense to do so.

They did not confirm which snaps they were referring to. However, several photos shared online appeared to show the South Korean pop stars dining together.

According to the BBC, two accounts connected with sharing the images have been suspended.

YG’s statement comes days after BTS’ label, Big Hit Entertainment, announced on Thursday that they had filed a criminal complaint against an unidentified individual who has been spreading “false information” and “the same ill-intentioned rumor” on multiple platforms. They did not share details about the posts.

Kanye West Declares “White Lives Matter” & Divides The Net

Kanye West stirred up more controversy by wearing a “White Lives Matter” shirt.

‘Ye debuted the outfit at his Yeezy Season 9 show at Paris Fashion Week on Monday (October 3). Photos of Kanye West in the “White Lives Matter” shirt surfaced online, sparking heated debates on social media.

Right-wing pundit Candace Owens, who ‘Ye praised in the past, also wore the “White Lives Matter” shirt. She posed with Kanye West, sharing a photo of the two on her Twitter account.

“White Lives Matter” became a racist slogan used in response to the “Black Lives Matter” movement. Boosie Badazz was among the many people outraged by Kanye West’s use of the phrase.

“@kanyewest AFTER ALL WE BEEN THROUGH AS A RACE YOU PUT THIS DISRESPECTFUL S### ON!” Boosie wrote on Twitter. “U GIVES NO F#### ABOUT HOW BLACKS HAVE DIED N SUFFERED TO THE HANDS OF THE WHITE MAN. N U SAY BUSH DONT LIKE BLACK PEOPLE.. REALLY ‘N####.’”

‘Ye’s latest stunt reignited discussions about some of his most infamous antics. He previously supported Donald Trump and made outrageous comments about slavery being a “choice.”

Kanye West’s “White Lives Matter” shirt faced plenty of criticism, but he still had people defending him on social media.

Prince Estate Says Sinead O’Connor Didn’t Deserve To Use Her Biggest Hit In Documentary So The Blocked Her

Prince’s estate refused to allow Sinead O’Connor the use of “Nothing Compares 2 U” in her new documentary.

While making the Irish singer’s upcoming documentary “Nothing Compares,” the team behind the film asked Prince’s estate for permission to use the song “Nothing Compares 2 U” in it.

Prince originally wrote “Nothing Compares 2 U” for his 1985 album with The Family, and O’Connor famously recorded a cover of it in 1989.

When “Nothing Compares” filmmakers asked Prince’s estate whether they could use the song in their documentary, the estate denied the request.

“Initially, we had intended to use the song, but we received a refusal,” director Kathryn Ferguson told Billboard. “In the end, we were very happy with that section of the film. It meant the focus remained on Sinead’s words, and on her own songwriting.”

Prince’s half-sister – co-heir to the estate – Sharon Nelson explained why they denied Ferguson use of the song.

“Nothing compares to Prince’s live version with Rosie Gaines that is featured on the Hits 1 album and we are re-releasing that album on vinyl on November 4th,” she said. “I didn’t feel (Sinead) deserved to use the song my brother wrote in her documentary, so we declined. His version is the best.”

Prince died in 2016. The video for Sinead’s version of the song has almost a half-a-billion views on YouTube alone.
