Young Thug Vibing To His Music In Court Amid Future & Gunna’s Brewing Beef Is Pretty Amazing

Even as the second anniversary of Young Thug’s arrest looms, the incarcerated Atlanta rapper somehow remains in high spirits—and his latest court hearing is proof of that.

During testimony on May 7, just days after jurors heard 911 calls and saw footage from the scene of Lil Wayne’s 2015 tour bus shooting, the courtroom watched the video for Young Thug’s#### “Halftime.”

Thug and his lawyer Brian Steel watched the playback during the testimony, and apparently, the YSL head honcho couldn’t help but catch a vibe. Though their communication was nonverbal, you can clearly see Thug give Steel a tap on the shoulder and aside-eye smirk that’s obviously him nudging, without actually saying “Yo, peep how I nailed this flow right here.”

The pair couldn’t contain their smiles as Young Thug raps, “I done figured this s### out, if you think you gon’ bite on my swag, it’s a virus (Oh)/I don the swag and I pull up on b###### dressed in all white like Miley Cyrus (Yeah)/No, I’m not gay, I f### b###### on b######, I whip out, she suck on my private (Suck it).”

Since Young Thug’s May 2022 arrest, a great deal has changed between his frequent collaborators, especially within his inner circle. Since Gunna accepted an Alford plea and was released in December 2022, multiple rappers have publicly dissed him, including Future, who’s now releasing a mixtape the same day Gunna is relasing his new album.

Last month, Gunna announced his One of Wun album. Days before the album’s release, Future subliminally dissed Gunna on Twitter (X). Future crashed his fellow Atlanta artist’s spotlight with plans to drop a mixtape on the same day as One of Wun.

“F### yo album S### ain’t slappin like my MIXTAPE,” Future wrote. “MAY TENTH. MIXTAPE PLUTO.”

Gunna responded, “Turn this s### bac up Notch……! F## What These boys talkin bout.”

Despite the chaos going on around him, it’s good to see that Thug can still find a way to catch a wave to the bops he provided to the masses prior to his incarceration.

Tyrese Sued By Ex-Wife After Accusing Her Of Fraud & More

Tyrese’s ex-wife Norma Mitchell filed a defamation lawsuit against him in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday (May 7). According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE and TMZ, Mitchell sued the actor/singer over a series of Instagram posts from April 30 to May 7.

Last month, Tyrese shared a motion he filed in a family court with his Instagram followers. The Fast & Furious star accused his ex-wife of fraud, forgery and more in a dispute over their daughter’s tuition. Tyrese posted a Google Drive link to his court filing on social media.

“The days of me suffering in silence and living in fear are over….. 167 pages filed in the Los Angeles courthouse 111 Hill Street,” he wrote on Instagram in April. “No lies and no goofy s###…. Everything in these court docs has real receipts attached…. Sadly, when f### s### is done to MEN it doesn’t matter…. Blackmail, extortion, defamation, death threats, tax evasion forged signatures, falsified bank statements, domestic and international wire fraud.. Money laundering all the above spelled out…. I got nothing to lose but my peace and sanity…”

Mitchell claimed Tyrese defamed her and disclosed private information about their daughter. She said her ex-husband used social media “to publicly litigate the issue by slamming Mitchell with a cruel barrage of derogatory and defamatory posts, including false accusations she has committed blackmail, extortion, death threats, tax evasion, forgery, bank fraud, wire fraud and money laundering.”

Tyrese’s ex-wife sought a court order to force him to take down his defamatory posts. Mitchell said she was “mortified,” fearing what his fans may do to her since he has more than 20 million followers on Instagram.

The Google Drive link was still featured in Tyrese’s Instagram bio on Thursday (May 9). He continued to encourage fans to read it this week.

“Still living in fear of my ex [ Norma ] and what new vile s### she’s going to once again say or accuse me of in response to my 167 pages filed in the courts [ link in bio ],” he wrote in one post.

Tyrese said he was “in a dark place” in the same post. He asked anyone who “really” knows him to check on him if they can.

NBA YoungBoy Granted Bond As Courts Wrangle Over His Custody

A Utah judge set NBA YoungBoy’s bond at $100,000 at a hearing in his prescription drug fraud case on Thursday (May 9). His arraignment was scheduled for July 1, per WBRZ.

NBA YoungBoy, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, was still in custody following the court appearance. Last month, a Louisiana judge ordered him to be detained by the feds until a bond revocation hearing in a separate gun case.

The 24-year-old rapper was arrested on multiple charges in April. Investigators accused NBA YoungBoy of illegally obtaining promethazine with codeine from Utah pharmacies.

NBA YoungBoy was charged with identity fraud, forgery and illegally obtaining or attempting to obtain prescription drugs. He allegedly pretended to be a doctor to prescribe promethazine to non-existent patients.

The Baton Rouge native was busted for prescription drug fraud while on house arrest in his federal gun case. The Cache County Sheriff’s Office caught him posing as an elderly woman named “Gwendolyn Cox” during its investigation. NBA YoungBoy’s accent exposed him in phone calls with authorities.

“During the conversation with ‘Gwendolyn’ it was very clear that a fake voice was being used,” a Cache County investigator explained. ‘Gwendolyn’ sounded as though she was a much younger male from the southern states … Kentrell Gaulden continued to attempt to further the prescription fraud by talking about the prescription and saying ‘she on the hospital bed,’ referring to the patient ‘Gwendolyn Cox’ from the previous day. Also of value to note, Kentrell Gaulden used the word ‘Axe’ instead of ask, this is similar to my conversation with ‘Gwendolyn’ the night before when ‘Gwendolyn’ used the same word. Based on my training and experience and having lived in the Southern United States, using the term ‘Axe’ in place of ask is a common southern dialect.”

NBA YoungBoy’s lawyers asked a judge to delay his federal gun trial following his drug arrest. The trial was scheduled to begin in July.

“The Joe Budden Podcast” References R. Kelly While Discussing Drake’s “The Heart Part 6”

Kendrick Lamar’s “meet the grahams” and “Not Like Us” heavily leaned on the speculation that Drake could be a sexual predator. The Joe Budden Podcast crew recently addressed those allegations while reviewing the Kendrick Lamar versus Drake battle.

After Lamar dropped the “meet the grahams” and “Not Like Us” diss tracks, Drake returned fire with “The Heart Part 6” song. However, a certain section on that record didn’t sit well with many listeners.

Drake attempted to rebuttal Kendrick Lamar accusing him of being a pedophile and sexual groomer with, “Just for clarity, I feel disgusted. I’m too respected/If I was f###### young girls, I promise I’d have been arrested.”

Joe Budden Questions Why No One Stopped Drake

Joe Budden and his podcast co-hosts zeroed in on “The Heart Part 6” during the “Fancy Feast” episode of the show. Parks, Ice, Ꭼmanny and Budden expressed disgust with Drake suggesting his fame would prevent him from prosecution.

“I don’t like that. Eww!” Emanny stated in response to Drake’s “The Heart Part 6” lyrics. “We’ve seen this story too many times,” Parks responded. “We have 1000 percent seen and heard that one line a million times,” Ice added.

“Somebody was supposed to run in that booth, grab that Canadian n#### by his neck or shirt and pull him somewhere safe,” Joe Budden said about Drake’s “I promise I’d have been arrested” bar. Budden also asked, “Where was Chubbs or anybody that loves him?”

Emanny and Joe Budden also sang the song from R. Kelly’s infamous live performance in Ethiopia, which many people saw as the R&B vocalist’s way of recruiting young girls back to America. Later, federal juries concocted Kelly of multiple federal sex crimes in New York and Illinois.

Drake Has A Questionable History With Teenage Girls In Hollywood

Rumors of Drake’s alleged problematic relationship with teenage girls date back several years. For example, then-14-year-old Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown admitted in a 2018 interview that Drake would send her “I miss you” texts and they often talked about her dating boys.

In addition, there have been other questionable interactions between Drake and young women like singer Billie Eilish and model Bella Harris. The OVO Sound founder has denied being a groomer or sexual abuser nor does he face any criminal charges at this time.

Drake Posts Cryptic Video About Death After Fallout From Kendrick Lamar Beef

The world continues to discuss the epic rap battle between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Following the three-month heavyweight fight, most of the public chose Lamar as the winner after he dropped “Not Like Us” on Saturday (May 4).

Although returned with “The Heart Part 6” the following day, he’s been relatively quiet after it failed to halt the momentum of “Not Like Us.” However, Drizzy did share a cryptic video on his Instagram Story on Thursday morning (May 9).

The Canadian superstar uploaded a clip from Netflix’s A Man in Full miniseries. Based on Tom Wolfe’s novel of the same name, that six-episode program stars Jeff Daniels, Diane Lane, Aml Ameen, Chanté Adams and Lucy Liu.

Drake’s IG post features a voice-over saying, “I don’t mean this as criticism. Maybe I do. But when you die, will people notice? When I go, there are gonna be a lot of memories of me by a lot of people, many who hate me. Even so, a person needs to live with vigor. Otherwise, what’s the point?”

The Drake versus Kendrick Lamar feud reached a tipping point in March, when Lamar called out the OVO leader on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That” collaboration. Both rappers put out several other diss tracks, including Drizzy’s “Family Matters” and K. Dot’s “meet the grahams.”

There’ve been two different incidents to take place at Drake’s Toronto home over the past few days. A gunman shot one of his security guards during an apparent drive-by shooting on Tuesday (May 7). Then, police returned to the residence (known as The Embassy) the next day after an intruder attempted to enter the mansion.

Kai Cenat Won’t Face Criminal Charges For NYC Riot

Kai Cenat will not be prosecuted for the highly publicized Union Square riot on August 4, 2023. The influential streamer faced inciting a riot and promoting unlawful assembly charges.

NBC New York reports the Manhattan district attorney’s office agreed to Kai Cenat paying $55,000 in restitution. He also had to make a public apology. The 22-year-old internet personality posted a statement on Snapchat.

“I apologize for the disruption and damage to the community, the park, the vehicles, and the storefronts in the area,” Cenat wrote. “I apologize to the first responders who had to endure the backlash of this irresponsible promotion and work to restore calm.”

Kai Cenat NYC Union Square

The mayhem in Union Square, Manhattan began after Kai Cenat promoted a PlayStation giveaway at the location. According to the New York City Police Department, thousands of teenagers showed up at the historic NYC intersection.

“You had people walking around with shovels, axes, and other tools from the construction [site],” NYPD Chief Jeffrey Maddrey stated. “Individuals were also lighting fireworks, throwing them towards the police, they were throwing them towards each other.”

Previously, Kai Cenat expressed disappointment in his fans’ behavior while addressing his viewers during a livestream. The former State University of New York at Morrisville student repeated that frustration in his Snapchat apology.

“The actions of some of the people that attended were unacceptable. At no time is it ok to act out physically in situations like this or to destroy property or try to harm people,” the two-time Streamer Of The Year winner wrote.

Windowsen Fashion Designer Thanks Cardi B Following Met Gala Backlash

Cardi B received positive and negative headlines for her appearance at the 2024 Met Gala. The Bronx-bred rapper made numerous “Best Dressed” lists but she also faced criticism for her comments during a red carpet interview.

While speaking with a Vogue correspondent, Cardi B said, “I feel amazing. It’s this amazing designer. They’re Asian.” Many social media users, including a former Vogue managing director, slammed the “Enough (Miami)” performer for not mentioning the designer of her dress by name.

Cardi responded to the backlash in a video posted to social media. She also posted a statement on her Instagram Story that read, “I have to give a thank you to @windowsen. I chose you because of your amazing talent and you came through really making this Met Gala a night to remember @sensenlii.”

Windowsen and the company’s founder, Sensen Lii, responded to Cardi B’s Instagram Story. Sensen Lii thanked the Invasion of Privacy album creator. The Windowsen Instagram account also showed appreciation for the 31-year-old entertainer.

Vogue filmed Cardi B as she prepared to attend the 2024 Met Gala event. The 7-minute YouTube video includes the former Love & Hip Hop: New York cast member talking about fashion, cosmetic surgery, and other topics.

Kendrick Lamar Got Dissed By Drake In Unaired 2014 Interview, According To Marcellus Wiley

Toronto’s Drake versus Compton’s Kendrick Lamar will likely go down as one of the greatest Hip-Hop battles. Many fans still wonder how the beef got heated to the point of multiple diss songs.

Back in 2016, NFL player-turned-sportscaster Marcellus Wiley spoke about an unaired conversation on ESPN’s SportsNation involving a famous rapper. Wiley said the 2014 interview never aired because the star had the segment blocked.

Marcellus Wiley recently addressed that moment with Drake on his Hydration Situation podcast. The 39-year-old Compton native revealed Drake dissed Kendrick Lamar on SportsNation. The Canadian rhymer allegedly later intimidated the network to bury what he said.

“Drake came on the show and he felt a certain type of way about Kendrick. To me, it sounded like either jealousy or he wanted to really pat him on his head like, ‘Dog, that’s cute what you’re doing but you ain’t me,’” Marcellus Wiley stated.

Wiley contacted Kendrick Lamar’s then-label, Top Dawg Entertainment, to tell them about Drake’s comments. The ex-Buffalo Bills player also said, “What y’all are seeing right now – the intensity, the volume, the frequency, why Kendrick stay ready, he ain’t gotta get ready, because in 2014, he already knew where this was headed.”

After over a decade of throwing subliminal shots at each other, Kendrick Lamar took a direct shot at Drake on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That” single. Drake then fired back with “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made Freestyle.”

From there, Kendrick Lamar released “Euphoria” and “6:16 in LA.” Drake came back with “Family Matters.” For many observers, Lamar took the victory with “Meet the Grahams” and “Not Like Us.”

Drake’s “The Heart Part 6” did not have the same impact as the other records, leading to a large part of the general public viewing the song as an admission of defeat.

Kendrick Lamar also has the sales numbers success to plant his flag as the victor. According to Billboard, the streams for Lamar’s back catalog climbed 49% while Drake’s dropped 5%.

Gucci Mane Questioned About Why His 1017 Artists Keep Going To Jail

Gucci Mane is opening up about the so-called “curse” involving artists signed to his 1017 Global Music label who keep winding up in jail or worse.

The “TakeDat” hitmaker appeared on the first episode of his wife’s podcast All Things Keyshia Ka’oir. However, despite interviewing her spouse, Ka’oir dived right in with the tough questions.

“So, the streets want to know why all your 1017 artists keep going to jail,” she began, leaving Gucci Mane a little flustered.

“Oh wow. So that’s how we gone’ start?” he replied before explaining that he relates to his signees.

“I was one of those type of artists, I was always going back and forth to jail,” he said. “I try to help those artists that I feel I see a lot of myself in.”

The Atlanta-based rapper continued, adding that he tries to support his artists “through their little bumps or whatever they’re going through,” while behind bars. “But I feel like if I’m not helping them, who else gone’ help them? Nobody says that part of the story,” he said.

1017 Artist’s Run-Ins With The Law

Gucci Mane’s artists have been plagued with legal problems throughout the years. Pooh Shiesty and Foogiano are both serving five years in prison. The former was for a firearm conspiracy case, while the latter was jailed after removing his ankle monitor and going on the run while on bond for a firearm possession charge.

Hoodrich Pablo Juan is also serving five years for a RICO case, Ralo eight years for being a marijuana kingpin, and Yung Mal is behind bars for murder.

In addition, Hotboy Wes was arrested on a robbery charge in 2022. Mac Critter was arrested the following year on first-degree murder charges.

Tragically, Gucci Mane’s artist, Big Scarr, died from a drug overdose in December 2022 at just 22 years old.

J. Cole Relaxes On Beach As Drake & Kendrick Lamar Beef Goes Dormant

J. Cole appears to be living true to his word after backing out of rap’s “big three” battle, leaving Drake and Kendrick Lamar to duke it out.

The Dreamville Records founder infamously walked back his K. Dot diss, “7 Minute Drill,” and removed the track from DSPs after apologizing to Lamar. He claimed the feud gave him sleepless nights and said it didn’t “sit right with my spirit.”  Many believe he did the right thing as the lyrical warfare swiftly went nuclear.

Cole has kept a relatively low profile and remained tight-lipped about the ongoing drama and salacious accusations. Fans joked that Cole was living his best life amid the escalating tension, and it appears they were right.

On Wednesday (May 8), a fan was taking a stroll along the beach when she came across Cole. She recalled the random encounter in a TikTok video, including a selfie with the rapper.

A commenter asked if she probed Cole about the ongoing Drake and Kendrick Lamar battle. “Yes,” she replied. “He said he doesn’t even like beef period . He’s really just chillin.”

J. Cole’s K. Dot apology sent shockwaves through the rap community, with some declaring it a sign that Hip-Hop is dead.

Last week, battle-tested rapper The Game accused J. Cole of weakening the spirit of rap beef.

“Hip hop/Rap or whatever yall calling it these days was already watered down,” he wrote on his Instagram Story. “Then Cole apologized and turned this s### into Kool-Aid wit no sugar.”

Meek Mill Praises Drake & Kendrick Lamar In Confusing Twitter Rant

While Meek Mill is no stranger to lyrical warfare, having famously beefed with Drake among others, he has said very little about the ongoing battle between his former nemesis and Kendrick Lamar.

However, on Wednesday (May 8), Meek decided to weigh in with his two cents in a highly confusing social media rant. He began by claiming he wouldn’t mention Drake before reeling off his own accolades.

He posted a throwback clip of DJ Drama comparing Meek and Drake during a 2023 episode of The Jay Hill Podcast. Drama, who had tension with Meek over the years, disagreed with Hill that the Philly rapper is the Jay-X of the younger generation.

While Drama conceded that Meek “is more connected to the streets,” he claimed Drake was the new Jay-Z. “The way Drake touches culture is that way Hov touched culture,” he added.

Sharing the clip, Meek Mill wrote, “I give yall my honest without speaking on drake,” before detailing his cultural impact.

“I really changed like 4 laws that really help stop the cycle of probation for the average person coming up in our culture! Through Mike Rubin and Kevin hart I’ve donated and help bring millions to the city of Philadelphia! We have real job fairs with reform!” he added.

In another post on X (formerly Twitter), Meek Mill refused to allow his contributions to be downplayed.  “I been in all the jungles lifting communities up for years,” he continued. “And my rap skills are incredible! Like really really good.”

Meek Mill Addresses Drake and Kendrick Lamar

Meek Mill then returned to Drake and Kendrick Lamar, despite previously insisting he wouldn’t speak on the OVO honcho. “They boy and Kendrick have their own lanes and qualities they great at also!” he declared.

Meanwhile, Meek also explained that he’s had no PR officer for a while, which goes a long way to explaining some of his recent social media antics.

Cardi B Shades Former Vogue Director In Response To Backlash Over Met Gala Blunder

While Cardi B’s show-stopping gown made headlines following the 2024 Met Gala earlier this week, she’s facing backlash over a comment about the designer of her avant-garde black gothic fantasy dress.

During a red carpet interview with Vogue, Emma Chamberlain asked Cardi B who created her jaw-dropping gown. However, she forgot the name of Windowsen founder and designer Sensen Lii, saying instead, “They’re Asian and everything.”

Clips of the faux-paus went viral, with social media users criticizing the “Like What” hitmaker over the blunder.

“I like you and all but knowing a designer’s name is literally the only thing you need to know at an event like the Met Gala. Come tf on. That’s just disrespectful and unprofessional. Brain farts happen but that’s your one job that night tbh,” one fan wrote.

Another added, “cardi b not remembering the designer who spent 3 months making her met gala dress and just referring to him as “asian” is just sad and disrespectful.”

Vogue‘s former managing director Gilbert Cheah also condemned Cardi B in an Instagram comment. “The gown took two months to make,” Cheah said. He also said that the rapper “should have at least remembered his name and not just that he’s ‘Asian’.”

On Wednesday (May 8), Cardi B responded to Cheah and other critics in an Instagram video. After explaining that she forgot how to pronounce Sensen Lii’s name, Cardi threw some shade at the former Vogue director.

“I knew the designer was Asian, but I wasn’t sure what nationality the designer was,” Cardi B stated. “I feel like the designer and my stylist worked really hard for this theme, so for you to be kind of shady because she feel offended or whatever, it just proves why you’re the former director. You’re trying to offend me but you’re actually offending the people behind-the-scenes.”

Tallant Don: Writing His Story Through Music

Tallant Don, a rising hip-hop artist hailing from Canada, has been carving his path in the music industry for the past 5-6 years. His journey began at the tender age of 12-13 when he wrote his first song, “All Day Long,” crafting lyrics on a beat he created using an old keyboard. Recording his vocals on a tape recorder, Tallant found solace and passion in the art of music.

His inspiration stems from his family and faith, as well as from the everyday experiences of life’s journey. Describing his music as a unique blend, Tallant combines elements of hip-hop and rap to create his distinct style.

Collaboration plays a significant role in Tallant’s musical process. Notable features include tracks like “WAY OUT” with Dave Mac and “JUST WANT TO” featuring Lady Sakti, a backup singer from Argentina. However, his dream collaboration would be with the legendary Outkast.

Tallant’s fan base spans across the globe, with particularly strong support from women and audiences in Australia, the USA, Canada, Europe, Africa, Brazil, and Argentina.

When asked about his goals, Tallant expressed openness to record deals, provided they align with his artistic vision. His upcoming EP, set to release this summer, promises to showcase his growth and talent.

Tallant’s influences are as diverse as his music, ranging from DMX to Linkin Park, Tupac to Pink Floyd. This eclectic taste is reflected in his artistry, creating a fusion that resonates with listeners from various backgrounds.

Looking towards the future, Tallant envisions himself performing in iconic venues across the globe, from Montreal to New York. While he’s performed for crowds of 100 to 150 people, Tallant’s aspirations for larger audiences are evident.

With production largely handled by himself, Tallant takes pride in crafting his sound, though he’s open to collaboration. As for where he sees himself in 5 years, Tallant’s vision is as vast as his potential, with plans to continue making music that speaks to the soul.

Kid Cudi Can’t Even Be Proud Of Himself Thanks To Drake & Lil Yachty Fans

If you ask any random Drake or Lil Yachty fan, they’ll probably tell you that Kid Cudi is either just really proud of himself or feeling a tad bit petty at the moment.

But Kid Cudi himself will tell you it’s neither, because he’s truly that passionate when it comes to honing his craft as a Hip-Hop artist. If you’re slightly confused at this point, let me back up and set the stage.

Earlier this week on Twitter (X), a fan speculating about possible features on Kid Cudi and Jaden Smith’s rumored collaborative project discovered, and promptly shared, the fact that Yachty was credited as a producer on the Cleveland rapper’s recent INSANO (NITRO MEGA) Deluxe album track “SUPERBOY.”

“Didn’t know Yachty produced Superboy, I saw he had writer’s credit also… You might be on to something bro,” the Twitter (X) user wrote in the tweet.

While it seems as though the fan was purely excited that there could be a chance the pair could be collaborating more closely, Kid Cudi seemed to denounce the idea altogether.

In response to the fan, Kid Cudi wrote, “No one writes my lyrics EVER. Every song U have ever heard from me, I wrote. The credits on songs can be confusing when u see all those names, and its usually producers of the song or sample.”

He then doubled down in another tweet, writing, “Its a really powerful feeling knowing I wrote the lyrics on all 12 of my albums.”

At that point, a fan pointed out that Kid Cudi clearly has to be taking a shot at Drake, considering he’s been getting dragged for having writing credits on the diss records he’s released amid his beef with Kendrick Lamar. However, the “Man On The Moon” himself stood on business and confirmed that it has nothing to do with Drizzy and everything to do with getting the respect he deserves for his pen game.

“Man me speakin my truth is not me dissing anyone,” he tweeted. “Its my truth. Its a fact. This came up cuz someone was talkin like yachty wrote my verse on superboy. Just wanted to address it and make it 100% clear.”

It’s certainly believable that Kid Cudi takes pride in the potency of his lyricism as an artist, considering he’s one of the most unique, multi-genre-spanning songwriters the rap and music industry at-large has ever seen. However, in 2022 he did make it clear that just because Kanye West had reconciled with Drake, didn’t mean that he was going to be buddy-buddy with him as a result. But, it’s also worth noting he mentioned he and Drake were good and even tweeted a remark confirming their beef had come to an end in 2021.

Shaq Responds To Ex-Wife Shaunie Henderson’s New Memoir Confession

With the second round of the NBA Playoffs in full swing, seasoned primetime league commentator and NBA Champion Shaquille O’Neal appears to be living out a scene from the 2000s film Love & Basketball.

On Tuesday (May 7), an excerpt from his ex-wife Shaunie Henderson’s new memoir Undefeated: Changing the Rules and Winning On My Own Terms, began circulating online. In it, she confesses that she wasn’t necessarily in love with Shaq during their nine-year union. Instead, it appears as though Shaunie was drawn to the lifestyle and their family, rather than their commitment to each other as husband and wife.

“Looking back, I don’t know that I was ever really in love with the man, but I was in love with the idea of being married to the man I had a family with,” Shaunie wrote in the memoir. “I was in love with the idea of building a life together. I truly did enjoy spending time with him. [NBA] road trips allowed me to be with my husband and experience the NBA life for a little while.”

Again, even though Shaq is currently tied up in his post hosting for NBA On TNT as the Playoffs continue, he appears to have come across Shaunie’s statements from the memoir and subsequently issued a statement on Instagram.

“I understand…” Shaq wrote in a reel he shared. “I wouldn’t have been in love with me either. Wishing you all the best… All love Shaq [Heart emoji].”

A number of prominent Hip-Hop artists, including DJ Paul of Three 6 Mafia and Rick Ross, hopped in the comment section of the post to show Shaq some love. Additionally, Shaunie and Shaq’s son, Shareef O’Neal, also voiced his opinion in the comments of the post, where he wrote, “Literally the most lovable and likable person on the planet!”

In another excerpt from the memoir, Shaunie does appear to sympathize with Shaq, remarking on how difficult it must’ve been for him to navigate life as a husband and father while also being one of the biggest names in professional sports.

“He was trying to be a world-famous, thirty-something multimillionaire with thousands of women throwing themselves at him, and people in general begging just to be in his presence, while being a husband and a father simultaneously,” she added. “How could anyone possibly know how to do that?”

50 Cent Bashes New York Governor For Remarks About Black Kids & Computers

New York Governor Kathy Hochul faced backlash for claiming Black kids in the Bronx don’t know what a computer is. 50 Cent added to the criticism of Hochul in an Instagram post on Wednesday (May 8).

“I don’t know any Black kids that don’t know what a computer is in the Bronx,” 50 Cent wrote. “WTF They know how to work a iPad better than me.”

Hochul made her controversial comments at the Milken Institute Global Conference in California on Monday (May 6). The governor was touting the potential impact of New York’s Empire AI Consortium at the event.

“We have young Black kids growing up in the Bronx who don’t even know what the word computer is,” she said.

Hochul apologized in a statement released later that day.

“While discussing my commitment to expanding economic opportunity for communities of color, I misspoke and I regret it,” Hochul said. “Of course Black children in the Bronx know what computers are — the problem is that they too often lack access to the technology needed to get on track to high-paying jobs in emerging industries like AI.”

50 Cent previously called out Hochul over a $2.4 billion proposal to deal with migrant issues in New York. He initially targeted New York Mayor Eric Adams before speaking with the mayor.

“I talk[ed] to @nycmayor Eric Adams he broke down why this pilot program was put in place,” 50 Cent wrote in February. “He appeared to be on point, and on top of things. Now I want to talk to @govkathyhochul about the laws preventing him from doing things to make the situation better in New York. and where the proposed 2.4 billion she’s planning on spending on migrants is coming from…NOT MY TAXES!”

50 Cent’s latest Instagram jab at Hochul occurred after he sued his ex-girlfriend Daphne Joy for defamation. The G-Unit rapper said Joy falsely accused him of rape and abuse in a social media post.

Police Swarm Drake’s Toronto Home After Another Wild Incident

Police returned to Drake’s Toronto home a day after a security guard was shot at his mansion. According to Global News anchor Tracy Tong, an intruder attempted to break into the Canadian star’s house on Wednesday (May 8).

The unidentified trespasser allegedly got into an altercation with security at the gates of Drake’s home. Security subdued the man and held him until police arrived.

Cops took the man into custody under the Mental Health Act. The intruder allegedly said he was “here to see Drake.”

The incident added to the Drake-related drama in Toronto. His security guard was seriously injured in a shooting outside his home on Tuesday (May 7).

Inspector Paul Krawczyk said the security guard remained in the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police didn’t know the motive behind the shooting but were aware of Drake’s highly publicized beef with Kendrick Lamar.

Drake and Kendrick exchanged several diss tracks over the weekend. Their contentious battle erupted when Kendrick dissed the OVO rapper on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That” in March. Drake and Kendrick’s mud-slinging reached a fever pitch this past weekend. Both men accused their foe of sordid misdeeds, including Kendrick calling Drake a pedophile on “Not Like Us.”

Police said Drake’s security guard was “shot from a vehicle which then fled the scene.” Authorities responded to the shooting around 2 a.m. on Tuesday.

Investigators collected video evidence that captured the incident. Police acknowledged they were dealing with “video quality issues” regarding the footage.

“As we have information and we’re able to analyze video better then we’ll be able to provide more information,” Krawczyk said.

Police asked anyone living near Drake’s home for help in their investigation. Cops sought photos or videos of the suspects and vehicle.

Joe Budden Declares Drake “Unequivocally” Lost To Kendrick Lamar

Joe Budden was a trending Twitter (X) topic on Wednesday (May 8) for once again sharing his impassioned opinions on Hip-Hop culture. During the latest episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, the former Slaughterhouse rapper got into a spirited debate about the all-consuming Kendrick Lamar versus Drake beef.

At one point, Budden was screaming at the top of his lungs as he tried to drive home his point that Kendrick smoked Drake on every single track—from “euphoria” and “6:16 in LA” to “meet the grahams” and “Not Like Us.”

“He went from ‘Na Na Nah, I’m going on vacation’ to ‘I’m not replying no more,'” Budden says in the clip. “That was the fastest change of tone … he lost, unequivocally! A n#### took it from him!”

Budden has been speaking on the Kendrick Lamar and Drake feud since it intensified last week. On May 1, just a day after Kendrick unleashed “euphoria,” he unapologetically told Kanye West to stay out of it. West, of course, remixed Future & Metro Boomin’s single “Like That” featuring Kendrick Lamar that essentially kicked off the entire back-and-forth.

“Kanye, sit your f###### ass down somewhere,” Budden said.. “Mind your f###### business. This is not about you. This is some attention-seeking s### that you’re doing.

He went on to say, “Kanye has been trying to insert himself in this since the beginning. You had your shot. That n#### was gunning for you. Y’all all ran except for Pusha. It’s not smooth when it’s not your beef,” he added. “You are making this all about you when you had a shot already. Move! You are taking attention away from our main event.”

Kendrick Lamar and Drake have been dormant since the latter dropped “The Heart Part 6” on Sunday (May 5). Publications like Rolling Stone and Vulture have also declared Kendrick the “winner,” meanwhile Questlove begs to differ.

As The Roots drummer posted on Instagram, “Nobody won the war. This wasn’t about skill. This was a wrestling match level mudslinging and takedown by any means necessary—women & children (& actual facts) be damned. Same audience wanting blood will soon put up ‘rip’ posts like they weren’t part of the problem. Hip Hop is truly dead.”

Sukihana Says JT Looks Like “A Trans” On “Cocaine” Diss Track

Sukihana escalated her beef with JT by releasing a diss track titled “Cocaine” on Wednesday (May 8). The song reiterated cocaine abuse allegations against JT and bashed the City Girls rapper’s appearance.

“You a crunchy black long t#### b####, you got scabies/All that eczema you hiding under that coat, I know you hate it/You been hating on Caresha since a baby/You got booked three years, you was stealing out of Macy’s/I ain’t arguing with no hoe that’s f###### punks, hoe you crazy?/Girl, you foaming out your mouth, is it rabies?/I can tell by that white tongue, you eat booty gravy/Everybody in Miami say you suck dick lazy,” Sukihana rapped.

Sukihana accused JT of worshipping the devil and being jealous of Ice Spice. The controversial rapper/reality TV star referenced JT’s “pretty like a transgender” line from the song “No Bars” to troll JT’s relationship with Lil Uzi Vert.

“Demonic ass hoe, tell ’em how you worship Satan/Prayed to God through your bid, now you come home and you hate him?/Ol’ thieving ass angry beaver looking m###########/You was mad at Ice Spice ’cause your n#### wanna f### her/B####, you ain’t no scammer, you was boosting outta TJ Maxx/Coochie hole so wide, you gotta use your ass/You ain’t lying when you say you look like a trans/Your n#### only f### with you because you look like a man,” Sukihana rapped.

The diss track included a break in the raps in which Sukihana went on a scathing rant about JT.

“I don’t give a f### what these hoes gotta say about me, b####,” Sukihana said. “I know who I am. Y’all hoes be coked out and sucking dick right after it came out of another n#### ass. Cockeyed nipple deformed armadillo looking m########### thinking I don’t know your n####, b####. Yo n#### wanted to eat this sewer p#### right through my pants, hoe.”

Sukihana resumed rapping with more insults and threats in the second verse.

“When you was in the pen, you was f###### on a fiend/Eating coochie like a mukbang/You a m############ lie, talking ’bout who? Me?/Nah, b####, you gon’ see/P#### hoe, I’m right in these streets/With a cat this good, I keep a pistol on me/I got a beam for every bump on your lip/Got ’em stressed out, I am under their skin/Ol’ botched body bald eagle looking ass b####/With that 5 o’clock shadow, girl, shave that chin,” she rapped.

Sukihana closed out the song by repeating, “You ain’t no City Girl, you a s##### girl, and your man wanna come to the coochie world.” The diss track dropped days after JT bashed Sukihana on TikTok.

Metro Boomin Shows Original Creator Of “BBL Drizzy” Hella Sample Love

Metro Boomin has recognized the creator of the outlandish sample Incorporated into his recently released “BBL Drizzy” instrumental as as the popularity of the challenge continues to skyrocket.

Believe it or not, Metro had little bit of help in producing what could be the first-ever instrumental diss, which was released during targeting Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s ongoing beef.

What’s even more unbelievable is the fact that the assistance wasn’t from another producer but rather a rising social media comedian. A Twitter (X) user by the name of @KingWillonius revealed himself as the creator of the sample Metro used for the instrumental in a twee seeking credit over the weekend.

“That was dope that Metro Boomin sampled BBL Drizzy,” he wrote. “The fact that I, an unknown comedian made an impact in this historical rap beef is kinda cool. I wish he would’ve tagged me tho. It is what it is.”

Well as they say, a close mouth doesn’t get fed, or in this case, idle Twitter (X) fingers won’t get read, and since King Willonius spoke up, he got the recognition he was asking for. And not only did he get a direct response from Metro, the WE DON’T TRUST YOU architect took things a step further to ensure the creator received the credit he deserved.

“I wasn’t aware king but thank you for your contribution to history,” Metro wrote in part before he finished the tweet off by writing, “Y’all show this man some love [Prayer hands emoji].”

As the exchange continued, Metro even virtually dapped bro up after buddy thanked him fore his support in a follow-up reply he shared. To be honest, Metro might’ve just done more than just co-sign the creator, considering he’s already released several insane Motown parodies. He even made an incredibly funny “OV-Hoe” AI-generated Motown snippet following the release of Kendrick’s “Not Like Us” Drake diss.

Not to mention, Metro just upped the ante on the #BBLDrizzy song challenge by offering a $10,000 reward to the winner of the contest. The runner-up will also get production from Metro for the price of Free-99, so there’s really nothing to lose by creating a submission.

Check out the latest #BBLDrizzy challenge developments from Metro’s latest tweet below.
