Kanye West Accused Of Threatening To Put Donda Academy Students In Cages

Trevor Phillips joined the list of former Donda Academy employees who filed lawsuits against Kanye West. Phillips sued Ye for discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination and more in Los Angeles on Tuesday (April 2).

According to multiple reports, Phillips said Ye used “dangerous rhetoric” and expressed a desire to create a “jail” for Donda Academy students. Kanye allegedly told two children he wanted to shave their heads and lock them in cages.

Phillips, who started working for Ye in November 2022, said his ex-boss decided to “double down” on antisemitism after Adidas and others cut ties with the controversial rapper/rapper. Kanye compared himself to Hitler “minus the gas chambers” and said the Holocaust was fake.

Ye also targeted the LGBTQ+ community. He allegedly opined how “gay people are controlled by Bill Gates so that they don’t have children for population control,” per court documents.

The lawsuit claimed Ye “treated the Black staff considerably worse than white employees.” Phillips recalled one of Kanye’s “temper tantrums” at a May 2023 service held at the Donda Academy. Ye berated Phillips over the plaintiff’s work on a garden.

“Kanye’s ill-will towards the plaintiff ultimately culminated in a vulgar lashing in front of schoolchildren and their parents,” the lawsuit explained. “Kanye even threatened Phillips with physical violence.”

Ye declared he was firing Phillips, which led to the plaintiff pleading for his job. Phillips noted his daughter attended the Donda Academy but received a brutal response.

“F### your daughter,” Kanye said, per the complaint. “I don’t give a f### about none of that.”

The lawsuit said Ye threatened to punch Phillips in the face before a dramatic change of heart. Ye told Phillips he was giving the plaintiff “one more chance.” Kanye fired Phillips again the next day, yet Phillips continued working for Donda Academy until August 2023.

Phillips sought more than $35,000 in damages. Kanye has not commented on the lawsuit.

Public Enemy’s Chuck D Names The LOX Best Rap Group Of 2020s

Chuck D rose to prominence as a member of the influential Hip-Hop group Public Enemy. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer recently used his cultural cachet to name The LOX as the best group of the current decade.

Sheek Louch, Styles P and Jadakiss make up The LOX. The East Coast-based MCs released projects under the umbrella of Bad Boy Entertainment, Ruff Ryders Entertainment and Roc Nation.

“Lemme say this,” Chuck D tweeted on Monday (April 1). “Best group of 2020s @thelox… stop running from them. @SHEEKLOUCH, @stylesp [and] @Therealkiss ‘sliced raps that have closed all generation gaps.'”

Offset recently sparked a conversation about Hip-Hop’s greatest groups while appearing on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast. The Migos rapper ranked his trio as No. 2 behind Outkast. Set also listed Wu-Tang Clan at No. 3 and The LOX at No. 4.

The LOX dropped Money, Power & Respect via Bad Boy in 1998. Sheek Louch, Styles P and Jadakiss returned with the Ruff Ryders-backed We Are the Streets two years later.

Roc Nation later played a role in distributing 2016’s Filthy America… It’s Beautiful and 2020’s Living Off Xperience. Each member of The LOX have also put out multiple solo albums since 2001.

Public Enemy was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2013. The group’s discography includes classic Hip-Hop albums such as It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back and Fear of a Black Planet.

Tierra Whack Names Busta Rhymes As Her Artistic Inspiration: “He’s Everything”

Tierra Whack released her debut album, World Wide Whack, on March 15. An official music video for “Two Night” accompanied the critically acclaimed project.

Whack previously earned a Grammy Award nomination for Best Music Video for her 2017 “Mumbo Jumbo” visuals. The Philadelphia-bred artist spoke to Apple Music 1 about Hip-Hop legend Busta Rhymes serving as artistic inspiration.

“I was studying Busta Rhymes videos for so long,” she said. “He’s like one of the best performers. People sleep on Busta, he’s number one. Energy – he can flip a crowd upside down. We just met not too long ago and he’s everything, he’s so sweet.

“I just was trying to give him his praise and he was like, ‘Shut up.’ I was like, ‘All right.’ He just gave me all my flowers and I had to call my mom. I don’t usually call my mom for everything, I do, but just personal. I would’ve just told her the story, but I was like, I got to call my mom, because she is the reason that I’m a Busta stan.”

World Wide Whack follows 2018’s Whack World, 2021’s Rap?, Pop? and an appearance on Beyoncé’s The Lion King: The Gift.

“I think it’s God’s time,” she said about releasing her latest project. “Everything eventually aligns, but you just have to put in the work, stay persistent and always have faith. Never lose that faith, even in the toughest times you just got to be willing to push because it’s all really a test at the end of the day.”

Busta Rhymes built his legendary Hip-Hop legacy as one of the most celebrated visual artists of his generation. The 12x-Grammy nominee elevated music video production with Hype Williams-directed classics such as “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See,” “Dangerous” and “What’s It Gonna Be?!”

With Kanye West, Dame Dash & Justice League Cosigns, Hassan Is Ready For The World

Hassan’s wave began much like a pebble in a docile lake. The minute stone, metaphorically speaking, is now making waves in the music industry with his boundary-pushing collaborations and thought-provoking compositions. From working alongside icons like Kanye West and Dame Dash to producing beats for rising stars such as DeJ Loaf and Saweetie, Hassan’s influence on contemporary music is undeniable. Nowadays, Hassan pushes his creative process farther and and discussed his most collaboration with The J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League.

“Feelings,” a track with extreme emotional depth, was originally crafted by chopping up a Nina Simone sample, but in an effort to elevate the production, Hassan enlisted the expertise of Erik “Rook” Ortiz. Rook is a globally known producer and founding member of The J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, the production team known for working with Drake, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, Raekwon, Conway The Machine and a host of others.

“J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League just have that luxury sound, you know what I mean?” Hassan said. “It felt like superhero music, like theme music, and for this joint ‘Feelings.’ I made the initial beat. I chopped up the Nina Simone song ‘Feelings.’ And I chopped it up and I had that piano part and I just had that loop. And then I sent it to Rook [of the Justice League] and I was just like, man, please Rook, if you could, man, if you feel the inspiration, if you feel the vibe, I would love for you to touch it and really bring it to that superhero level.”

And that is exactly what happened. The song, a few days old, has thousands of views already. His partnership with Dame Dash was forged during a another serendipitous encounter in Wyoming during a session with Kanye West. West is a source of inspiration and admiration for Hassan, who recalled playing West his album.

“Working with Ye is…it’s always a pinch me moment,” Hassan expressed still in awe. “I was playing him the ‘anything is possible’ beat. He was just mumbling. Like this line, this top line. And it’s like, man, we took that and I went and got a choir to sing that top line that he was doing. So on the record, he’s like mumbling the top line. And then I have the choir come in.”

Born in America, Hassan’s music is deeply rooted in his cultural heritage and personal experiences. Themes of personal exile and religion are reoccuring in his work, a reflection of a Muslim father and Catholic mother. “Feelings” offers listeners a glimpse into his upbringing and relationships.

“I draw a lot from personal experiences, especially my relationship with my mother and the struggles she has faced,” Hassan shared. “Her trauma has deeply impacted me and reflects in my music, adding layers of vulnerability and authenticity to my work.”

Hassan’s artistry is to provoke thought and ignite conversation through his music. With Hip-Hop in flux, he challenges the status quo in the way true artists do.

As Hassan continues to push forward, it appears that ripple initiated by the pebble will continue evolving into a tsunami.

Four additional We Don’t Trust You songs landed in the Hot 100’s Top 10 region. “Type S###” with Playboi Carti and Travis Scott (No. 2), “Cinderella” with Travis Scott (No. 6), the title track (No. 8) and “Young Metro” with The Weeknd (No. 9) helped lift Metro’s Top 10 career total to 10 entries.

Pusha T Responds To Pharrell Williams & Chad Hugo Neptunes Rights Dispute

Pusha T has a unique perspective on the current legal battle between Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo.

On Monday (April 1), a Billboard reports revealed lawyers for Hugo, who co-founded The Neptunes in 1992 with Williams, filed a lawsuit against the “Happy” vocalist, claiming he was attempting to “unjustly trademark” The Neptunes’ name.

According to the filing, Williams would have sole control over the name if his trademark was indeed approved and would be in control of “The Neptunes” imprint when it came to streaming, music videos and live performances.

Hugo’s lawyer’s claim Williams trademark filing would “fraudulently” cut Hugo out of the agreement they previously had in place to split everything between themselves in an equal and fair manner.

“Throughout their over 30 year history, [Hugo] and Williams agreed to, and in fact, have divided all assets,” Hugo’s attorney Kenneth D. Freundlich wrote in a statement.

In a response provided by a representative for Williams, it appears the news of the lawsuit took the fellow Virginia native for a loop.

“Pharrell is surprised by the lawsuit,” the statement read in part. “We have reached out on multiple occasions to share in the ownership and administration of the trademark and will continue to make that offer.”

As the rep continued, it appears as though Williams intent was not with malice, but rather proactive intent to secure the intellectual property for himself and Hugo.

“The goal here was to make sure a third party doesn’t get a hold of the trademark and to guarantee Chad and Pharrell share ownership and administration.”

In the comment section of an Instagram post reporting the news of the lawsuit, Pusha T offered his two cents on the situation, quite literally suggesting it was a cash grab initiated by a third party, not either of the creators.

“There’s not a dollar involved in this stupidity,” Push wrote in part. “Just a lawyer looking to drain Chads pocket.” Push concluded his remarks, writing “Unreal,” stamped with a crying-out-loud smiley face emoji.

Throughout the years, things have been extremely cordial between all three parties. In fact, in 2019 during William’s hometown festival SOMETHING IN THE WATER, Hugo and Push appeared alongside the Louis Vuitton Men’s Creative Director and Timbaland during a special live presentation of OTHERtone featuring music legend Teddy Riley.

Check out the video featuring Hugo, Push and Williams below.

Ye & Ty Dolla $ign Call Off “Vultures” Listening Events

Many fans of Ye (formerly Kanye West) and Ty Dolla $ign will miss out on the chance to see ¥$ live. The pair’s Vultures events have been canceled, according to reports.

Multiple outlets claim the “Vultures 1 & 2 Listening Experience” playback parties will no longer take place as planned. However, a source connected to Ye insisted ¥$ will announce replacement dates.

Cities such as Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Charlotte and DC had scheduled shows. The Amalie Arena in Tampa released a statement about the cancellation.

“We regret to report that due to the time constraints for Ye and Ty Dolla $ign to curate production and meet logistic requirements, the upcoming dates for the VULTURES 1&2 listening experience will need to be revisited at a later date,” Amalie Arena’s Facebook post read.

Ye and Ty Dolla $ign’s Vultures 1 arrived on February 10. That studio LP debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 148,000 album-equivalent units. It spent two weeks in the chart’s top spot.

Supporters of the rapper and the R&B singer expected Vultures 2 to drop by now. Ye even revealed the album’s cover art on March 9, featuring Ty Dolla $ign holding a photo of his incarcerated brother.

¥$ headlined the 2024 Rolling Loud California festival on March 14. Their set received mixed reviews. Neither artist performed any songs. Festivalgoers only heard the music through speakers as the “Carnival” hitmakers walked around on stage.

Diddy’s Son Christian Receives Birthday Message From Brother Quincy: “We Aren’t Stopping”

The family of Sean “Diddy” Combs appears to be trying to continue their regular lives as the patriarch faces civil and possibly criminal cases. For example, Quincy Brown shouted out his 26-year-old younger brother, Christian “King” Combs, on social media for his birthday.

Hip-Hop artist Christian Combs and actor/singer Quincy have the same mother, the late Kim Porter. Bad Boy Entertainment founder Diddy dated Porter for many years. She had three of his children, including Christian. Diddy also helped raise Quincy.

“Happy Birthday Christian Casey Combs! My Young King! I love you with all my heart. They can try and stop us but we are not STOPPIN THE COUPE… AND THATS THE TRUTH!” Quincy, 32, wrote on Instagram.

Federal authorities detained Christian Combs and his 30-year-old brother, Justin Combs, at Diddy’s Los Angeles-area home on March 25. Department of Homeland Security officials raided the residence as part of a suspected sex trafficking investigation.

Quincy Brown’s biological father recently pleaded for his son to “come home” following the news of Diddy’s potential legal troubles breaking. R&B performer Al B. Sure took to Instagram to deliver a message to the former Star cast member.

Diddy has remained in the media’s spotlight since the federal probe became public knowledge. Multiple plaintiffs, such as his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, also sued The Love Album: Off the Grid creator over accusations of sexual misconduct and abuse.

Cassie Ventura settled with Diddy out of court for an undisclosed amount. Several additional lawsuits emerged in the wake of Ventura’s allegations. Diddy has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing related to the pending litigation.

Cardi B Mortified Over Embarrassing Faux Pas With Rihanna & Paris Hilton

Cardi B never misses an opportunity to show fans she’s a down-to-earth celebrity and even has her own embarrassing encounters with famous stars.

During a recent Instagram live session, Cardi B recounted a humiliating run-in with Rihanna and Paris Hilton at a swanky Hollywood party. The NYC rapper experienced everyone’s worst nightmare while chatting to her fellow celebs. However, she didn’t realize the mishap until it was too late.

“I was eating, I was hungry,” Cardi told her fans. “I’m talking to Paris Hilton; I’m talking to Rihanna. You know when I smile, I get nervous. I’m all up in Paris Hilton face. We sitting right next to each other. You know when I f###### went home, you know what I noticed? I noticed I had something black in my f###### teeth, b####, the whole time.”

Cardi was left so mortified after the discovery she hid away in the comfort of her bed.

“When I got home and I noticed that, I just literally buried myself in my f###### bed,” Cardi explained. “That s### is so f###### embarrassing.”

https://twitter.com/ParisHPhotos/status/1774552731245551916?s=20

The awkward situation was likely even more cringe-worthy for Cardi because she would love to work with Rihanna but fears sounding “stupid” on a collab.

Earlier this month Cardi revealed she would love to collab with Rihanna.

“I love Rihanna’s music, but I don’t do music like that,” Cardi B admitted last month. “I sound kinda stupid trying to sing like that, trying [to] sound like that. So if I ever get that perfect record, I cannot wait until I feel like, ‘This song… I know she’s going to like it”.

She continued, “Because I don’t want to send her nothing like, ‘Ho, what the f### is this s###? Take this thing out of my face’.”

O.T. Genasis Blasted By Keyshia Cole’s Sisters After Onstage Apology

Keyshia Cole stunned fans, bringing out O.T. Genasis during a recent concert following a bitter back-and-forth between the pair.

“We was kinda going at it at one point, and listen, it was me,” Genasis began. “I just want to sit here today, I want to tell you I apologize to you.”

Cole interrupted to joke “I did call you a Ninja Turtle,” before Genasis continued.

“I want to tell you I’m sorry,” he added. “And when I met this woman, she is the sweetest, one of the greatest personalities, the greatest sense of humor, she’s really sent from God. She got a very, very, very good soul.”

The beef began in 2019 when Genesis covered Cole’s 2005 song “Love” without her permission, replacing the lyrics with his own Crip-inspired rendition.

“I would like my classics to be left alone,” she stated on her podcast One On One With Keyshia Cole in 2019. “How am I going to get paid, you know what I’m saying, if you’re making new lyrics and you haven’t even sent me a check or anything like that?”

However, O.T. Genasis didn’t take kindly to the criticism, blasting Cole and even dragging her mother Frankie into the beef.  He posted a mugshot of Cole’s reality TV star mother and claimed he had once sold crack to her, sparking backlash from Cole’s family.

Keyshia Cole Responds After Sisters Blast O.T. Genasis

The singer’s sisters refused to accept his apology after the statements he made about Frankie, who died in 2021. Elite Noel vented on her Instagram Story. She said Genasis would have to kiss her mother’s grave before he could be forgiven.

She and her sister Neffe also demanded that he apologize “to everybody’ and not just their famous sibling.

However, Keyshia Cole said, “They’re entitled to feel that way.” She wrote on Instagram, “I chose differently with forgiveness… …. It all happened publicly so he apologized publicly.”

PARTYNEXTDOOR’s NSFW Album Cover Has Internet Freaking Out

PARTYNEXTDOOR may have taken a break from romantic relationships while working on his latest album, but he clearly didn’t shy away from women with the album cover art for his upcoming project. On Monday evening (April 1) the OVO singer shared the raunchy artwork for his PARTYNEXTDOOR 4 album. The image depicts a naked woman bent over on all fours with a “4” tattoo on her lower back.

However, the photo received a mixed reception from fans with some refusing to believe it’s genuine and not an April Fool’s Day prank. PartyNextDoor posted the cover on Instagram prompting fans to share their take in the comment section.

“Music ain’t been good enough lately to be doing all this on the cover man,” one fan wrote, while another added, “Party we can’t repost this.”

Instagram/PartyNextDoor

The risqué artwork received a similar reaction over on Twitter (X).

“Partynextdoor is freaked the f### out with that damn cover what is his problem,” one person questioned while another branded the album cover “classless.”

PARTYNEXTDOOR fans have long-awaited the follow-up to 2020’s Partymobile. The singer recently cited his past relationships as the reason he went years between releasing new albums.

“I get into relationships and then music becomes second,” he said in a Billboard cover story last month. “I think I’m going to take a break from relationships, a long break, and just get back to making music.”

While PARTYNEXTDOOR dropped off lead single “R e a l W o m a n” in March fans eagerly anticipate the album. Check out some more reactions to the artwork below

Latto Faces Criticism After Filling In For Left-Eye During TLC iHeartRadio Awards Performance

The surviving members of TLC—Chilli and T-Boz—were honored with iHeart Radio’s Landmark Award and performed two of their biggest hits with the help of Latto.

On Monday night (April 1), the stars were out in force at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre for the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards. In addition to their award, TLC also took to the stage before bringing out their special guest.

TLC opened their set with the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 “No Scrubs.” T-Boz and Chilli then welcomed rising rap star Latto to fill in for late bandmate Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes for a rendition of their iconic chart-topper, “Waterfalls.”

While Latto may have grown up to her father listening to TLC, she wasn’t yet born when the 12x-platinum CrazySexyCool was released. The project remained on the Billboard 200 for two years and sold more than 15 million copies worldwide. It also holds the title of the best-selling album by an American girl group.

Not everybody was a fan of Latto rapping Left-Eye’s verse. The “Lottery” hitmaker caught some heat online over her rendition.

“Now who tf approved of Latto rapping Left-eye’s verse for TLC’s waterfall performance,” one person questioned,” while another said, “Why is Latto on stage with TLC.”

Another person added, “No shade and no funny s### but Coi Leray woulda been a much better choice for a Left Eye stand in with the TLC tribute. She has that Left Eye vibe. Even Doja. Latto did a great job however.”

Nonetheless, others credited Latto with doing an amazing job as the “L” in TLC. Check out some of the other reactions below.

Stevie Wonder Presents Beyoncé With iHeartRadio Innovator Award

Beyoncé paid tribute to those who have come before her while accepting the Innovator Award at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards from musical legend Stevie Wonder.

The superstar songstress was honored with the trophy at Monday night’s ceremony (April 1). She dedicated the award to her innovators and revealed an unknown fact about Stevie Wonder.

Beyonce began her acceptance speech by explaining what it takes to be a trailblazer.

“Innovation starts with a dream, but then you have to execute that dream and that road can be very bumpy,” Beyoncé told the crowd at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre. “Being an innovator is saying what everyone believes is impossible.”

She added that being an innovator comes with criticism that “will test your mental strength.” but she leans on faith.

Beyoncé then seemingly addressed the backlash to her Cowboy Carter album.

“So, to all the record labels, every radio station, every award show, my hope is that we’re more open to the joy and liberation that comes from enjoying art, with no preconceived notions,” she shared.

She thanked innovators Rosetta Tharpe, Tracy Chapman, Linda Martell, Prince, Stevie Wonder, André 3000, Tina Turner, and Michael Jackson, “and so many more who defied any label placed upon them.”

Stevie Wonder got an extra nod from Beyoncé who thanked him for playing the harmonica on “Jolene.”

The award comes just days after the arrival of the chart-topping Cowboy Carter. On Friday, March 29, the album became Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day in 2024 so far. It was also “the biggest debut by a Black female artist ever,” according to fan account Bey Legion.

Doja Cat Addresses If She Wears P#### Hair On Her Headed

Doja Cat has responded to comments about her natural hair: “Let’s move forward”.

The “Paint the Town” Red rapper and singer took to her social media after being subjected to what she described as “consistent” online commentary about her hair’s texture.

“I’m seeing a pattern. I’m seeing a consistent pattern in my comments section of people saying is my hair p#### hair, is it carpet or is it sheep’s wool,” Doja Cat said on Instagram Live. “And it’s not even questions… some people are being like, that’s what it is.”

The comments started after Doja released a first look at the album cover of her upcoming single, Masc. It featured a close-up photo of her bleached blonde hair.

Doja, 28, went on to add that commenters had compared her tightly curly hair, “to sheep and p#### and carpet and popcorn and s### like that.”

In closing, Doja made a plea for growth from her fans, asking them to move along.

“We gotta move forward. Let’s move forward. Let’s grow,” she continued.
“I can’t tell you what to do. I’m not your fking parents, you know what I mean? I don’t wanna say too much.”

Nick Cannon Knows Cassie Is “A Victim” But Claims Diddy “Protected” Him When No One Else Would

Nick Cannon has broken his silence regarding the numerous sexual assault allegations mounting against Diddy, including his multi-million dollar settlement case with former girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

On Sunday (March 31) Cannon previewed a portion of the conversation he had with Iyanla Vanzant for his new series Counsel Culture. During a clip he shared in a post on Instagram, Cannon delved into the complicated nature of his relationship with both Cassie and Diddy and the awkward position he finds himself in when asked to comment on the situation.

“I find difficulty when I’m asked about people that I know about, it was either The Breakfast Club or Angela Yee or something, and they asked me about Puff [Diddy], and I answered it as honestly as I knew how to answer it,” Cannon said in part. “I know these people, they’re not just public figures to me. So I have to almost do this dance about when it comes up because just as much as I know Diddy, I know Cassie.”

A post shared by NICK CANNON (@nickcannon)

As he pressed on, Cannon appeared to reveal his true feelings on the situation, while also simultaneously attempting to remain loyal to Diddy.

“I think what they brought up is I saw that I kind of was saying, I’m praying for Cassie, trying to find the high frequency and knowing the story, knowing the right thing to talk about, I was like, this is someone who was hurt, who was victimized,” he said in part. “But then when this question goes a little bit further, ‘So what about Puff?’ It’s like, I don’t know how to feel about that. When I was going through my stuff, someone that called, checked on me, stood by me, stood up for me, and I was like, ‘What do I owe you?”

Cannon went on to explain that he felt Diddy “protected” him when “no one else” would and explained that he felt his obligation as a “brother” to the Bad Boy mogul was to defend him.

In 2020, Diddy offered Cannon a job after he was fired from The Masked Singer TV series by ViacomCBS for “hateful speech and antisemitism” in connection to a YouTube video he released pertaining to ownership. During the video, Cannon made the claim that his view, in his experience, was that Jewish people in high-level positions “lack of compassion” due to their inability to posses melanin, a compound found in the skin of people of color.

Beyonce’s Album “Cowboy Carter” Marks Biggest Debut By Black Female Artist Ever

Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter is the most-streamed album in a single day in 2024.

The singer dropped her much-anticipated new record on March 29 and it quickly became the hottest album on Spotify.

Spotify was quick to cement the album’s high-performing status via its official X/Twitter account.”

On Friday, March 29, Beyoncé’s COWBOY CARTER became Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day in 2024 so far,” a rep for the streaming behemoth posted.

Bey Legion also reported Cowboy Carter is also the sixth-highest female Spotify debut in history. For comparison, Beyonce’s previous album, Renaissance, debuted to 43.2 million streams on its first day.

Benzino Proposes Boxing Match With Eminem For Mike Tyson Vs. Jake Paul Undercard

Benzino campaigned for a spot on the undercard of Mike Tyson and Jake Paul’s boxing match. Benzino envisioned a fight against his longtime foe Eminem on the Tyson vs. Paul card scheduled for July 20.

“If 50 [Cent] will fight Stevie [J] then I will fight Eminem,” Benzino said on Instagram. “And then it would be the biggest pay-per-view celebrity boxing match in the history of this world … It would be crazy. And put us on the undercard of Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. I need that to happen y’all. I’ll fight Eminem.”

He continued, “I’ll knock Eminem out 30 seconds into the [first] round. Let’s just do it. Let’s do it! Let’s get this bag. People wanna see it. Let’s do it. I need y’all to tag somebody. Put this out. Shady and G-Unit vs. the good guys.”

Benzino mentioned Stevie J, who called out 50 Cent amid the G-Unit rapper’s nonstop trolling of Diddy. Stevie J wanted to “shoot the fade” with 50 Cent. Benzino dragged Peter Gunz and Tony Yayo’s names into the discussion, attempting to arrange an undercard for the Tyson vs. Paul clash.

Tyson vs. Paul will be held at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Netflix will broadcast the fight.

Benzino’s desire to get involved in the event was delusional, to say the least. He certainly didn’t help himself by suggesting Tyson vs. Paul is fixed if Paul wins. Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions is promoting the Tyson fight.

“If Jake wins, it’s fixed, no question,” Benzino said. “I don’t give f###. Ain’t no f###### way. Not with Mike’s hitting. Nah, I can’t see it.”

Benzino competed in celebrity boxing in the past but seemingly realized the Eminem fight was a pipe dream. He targeted Joe Budden as another potential opponent, offering to fight the rapper-turned-podcaster for free.

Eminem Fools Fans With New Album Announcement

Eminem participated in April Fools’ Day by pranking fans with a mock album release. Slim Shady shared a ridiculous trailer for a supposed sequel to his debut album Infinite on Monday (April 1).

“The highly anticipated next studio album goes back to where it all started,” the trailer’s voiceover declared. “Infinite but now it’s even more infinite. Out today.”

Although it was an obvious joke, some fans admitted Eminem fooled them. The trailer received more than 2 million views on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Eminem trolled his fans, but they might not be waiting much longer for a new album. Dr. Dre claimed his longtime collaborator will drop an album in 2024 during a March appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

“Let me tell you something, let me explain something to you right now: Eminem is working on his own album, which is coming out this year,” Dr. Dre said. “And I actually talked to him and he said it okay for me to make that announcement right here on this show. So, he has an album coming out. I’ve got songs on it and it’s fire.

Eminem hasn’t dropped an album since 2020’s Music to Be Murdered By. The project debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Slim Shady’s latest release was a song titled “Doomsday Pt. 2,” which arrived in January. The track renewed his bitter feud with Benzino.

“What is the opposite of Benzino? A giraffe/Go at his neck, how the f## is that?/How can I go at something he doesn’t have/Arms so short he can’t even touch his hands/When they’re above his head doing jumping jacks/Sorry, I don’t mean to upset you Ben/When I talk about all the debt you in/I hear that you been creeping on the low/In them cheap hotels that they catch you in,” Eminem rapped.

Benzino responded with two diss tracks: “Vulturius” and “Rap Elvis.” He declared himself “the Eminem slayer” after dropping the songs.

EXCLUSIVE: Former Motown Records CEO Denies Plan To Testify Against Diddy

Ethiopia Habtemariam, the storied former chairperson and CEO of Motown Records, has taken a stand against allegations connecting her to serious accusations alongside Diddy (real name Sean Combs).

The controversy surrounding the high profile, $30 million lawsuit has seen Habtemariam actively refute claims made by producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones that she would testify against Diddy.

Emphasizing the falsehoods propagated by Jones’s lawyer, Tyrone Blackburn, Habtemariam has categorically denied any wrongdoing or knowledge of misconduct by Diddy.

“I am informed and believe that Mr. Blackburn has falsely represented to various social media sites and other media outlets that I agreed to ‘testify against’ Mr. Combs,” Habtemariam said. “This is completely untrue. I have no personal knowledge of any alleged wrongdoing by Mr. Combs and there is nothing I could testify to that would be against his interest.”

The lawsuit had placed her among those accused of engaging in illegal activities such as trafficking sex workers, distributing drugs and participating in an alleged “RICO enterprise” with Diddy and other defendants. The accusations specifically mentioned that Habtemariam was aware of drug-laced alcohol being served at listening parties hosted by Diddy.

The serious charges targeted her professional integrity and implicated her in highly questionable activities. Blackburn’s decision to drop Habtemariam from the lawsuit has brought her partial relief.

“Being falsely accused of criminal conduct is deeply upsetting to me,” Habtemariam said. “I did no wrong. I never saw or participated in any alleged racketeering enterprise, and I never saw, aided or, abetted, or tried to conceal any sex trafficking activity.

“In short, there is no basis for any of the claims asserted against me, and I should never have been named a defendant in this lawsuit.”

Motown CEO Denies Agreeing To Testify Against Diddy

Despite the dismissal, the damage to Habtemariam’s reputation has prompted her to speak out fiercely against the assertion that she’d ever witnessed or engaged in any form of racketeering or sex trafficking.

Habtemariam’s fight to clear her name saw her challenge Blackburn’s narrative.

“My counsel provided a revised declaration that addressed the topics that Mr. Blackburn addressed and corrected his false narrative,” she said. “I am aware that Mr. Blackburn found my truthful version to be unsatisfactory to him and he presented yet another version that again presented a false narrative.”

Finally, Blackburn accepted a revised version based on Habtemariam’s versions of events, which he accepted and eventually dropped her from the lawsuit. Habtemariam expressed relief at being dismissed from the case. She said she was determined to defend her reputation against the baseless accusations.
